Season 2: Episode 15
It was the end of another school day and it was a bright sunny day, Brody smiled as she dusted off her tennis uniform as she readied herself for another practice, she was looking forward to the competition that was due to start just before the school ended for summer vacation. She wasn't the only one gearing up for something, she glanced over to the football field where the football team was getting ready for their big game. She spotted Kyle and sure enough, Becca and Sophie were there too, coordinating the rest of the cheer team ready for cheerleading practice, as always the cheer uniforms looked pretty good on Becca and Sophie, it was certainly drawing gazes from Kyle and David. David of course was warming up with John and Gabe on the track field. Brody smirked and winked at Gabe when they made eye contact and soon they were all hard at work practicing, meanwhile Sarah would be in the library which was at the other end of the school. That was why Violet, who had no swimming practice that day, left the school, ready to just head home. She had already told her friends of her decision and wished them well. As such while they were all up to their usual activities, Violet left the school.
She was a little uncomfortable, but she still had to admit it wasn't too bad, just like the last time. She was dressed once more to emulate Clem, in this case in a black mid-thigh pleated skirt; a black belt with silver loops and buckle, pulled up slightly higher on left side; a pink long sleeved top; black below knee socks and black short boots. An outfit she never expected to get, but she wore it with pride.
'Clem would love this...I just hope, if she sees it she would like it...on me.' She thought to herself.
Fixing the skirt which she was still not quite experienced with, she thought for a moment and then made up her mind on something she could do. She was getting hungry anyway, so she headed for her mom's diner and, stepping inside, she smiled when her mother looked up and smiled at her in greeting.
"Violet, good to see you." She said. "I'm surprised you're still dressed in that, you said you were uncomfortable."
Violet shrugged. "I figured it was good, you know, to show support in regards to Clem."
Amy nodded. "Fair enough, usual order?"
"Sure, thanks mom." Violet replied.
She made her way to her usual booth and sat down, thinking about what to do next.
'I don't suppose there is anything we can do unless Chapman finds something and messages us.' She reflected. 'That stuff he said about Lily, could it be true...he never said she was outright lying to us, not like the police. But I suppose she could be holding stuff back, but, wouldn't she have a reason for that, given what she's doing?'
She shook her head, thinking like that was only going to give her a headache, so she instead focused on thanking her mother as the food arrived and she began to eat.
She smiled as she finished eating and put the plate aside, she had already paid and now sat back in the booth for a moment.
'I did promise to text Sarah when I got home, with everything that's going on, we're constantly checking each other, making sure we're getting home safe and all.' She reflected. 'Seems crazy until you remember that creep is still stalking us.'
She knew she might as well message Sarah just now and tell her she was at the diner and would be going home soon, then message her once she was home too. After all, they all knew how long it would take for each of them to get home, all to be safe from their worries of the creep. So she took her phone out but before she could try to message Sarah, she was startled to see a message pop up on her screen. She was confused and worried but checked it.
"Violet, this is Chapman. I just found something important and need your help. It's dangerous but I know you wouldn't want to avoid a chance like this. I may have found where Clementine is, in fact I'm certain of it. But it is dangerous, that's why I'm saying this now. If I share this information with you and you go and seek Clementine, you must let me accompany you, for your own safety. Lily wouldn't admit it but we lost Clementine, she got away from her safe house and is now in danger, she's gone somewhere where the one after her can find her and is likely already closing in on her. Please meet me and we can rescue her before it is too late."
Violet's eyes widened in amazement and even, hope. Even with the danger being mentioned she couldn't help but feel excitement, he had found Clem, she could see her again. She replied at once and, forgetting to be cautious, she stood up and left the diner, hurrying to go and meet up with Chapman, desperate to get there before it was too late. All the while she couldn't help but reflect on the irony of this being the third time things had come full circle and things ended up taking her to none other than Old Miller Farm.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
