The Lion Guard were looking for their missing comrade inside the shadows of the jungles of Timon's Oasis.

" Hapana! " Ono exclaimed as he flew down and held both his feathers to his beak in shock at the sight of his friend's mutilated and eaten corpse. " *sniffling* I-I-I found Bunga..." he tearfully called out to Kion and the rest of the remaining Lion Guard.

" Oh no...poor Bunga.." Fuli stared in shock. " Who would do this to him? "

" Oh no..I'm so sorry Kion, " Jasiri told him." you have my condolences "

" I'm not sure myself, but whoever did this to you, Bunga...whoever it is going to be exiled from the Pride lands.." Kion said with anger in his voice as tears rolled down his cheeks. " And if they refuse to comply to leave will be delt with severely. " " Thank you, Jasiri. "

" You're welcome, Mate. " Jasiri replied as she sat beside Fuli in silence.

" Kion, that's not going to bring him back.." Fuli pointed out. " You know that.."

" My little bro..." Besthe sobbed as he held Bunga's hand as his friends watched.

" I do, but they're not getting away with this, that's not fair to Bunga..." Kion replied with sadness. " Timon and Pumbaa would be so devastated when we break the news to them... I'm so sorry for not being there when you needed me most, buddy..." He said tearfully as he and his friends started to gather large leaves and tree bark to wrap Bunga's body in all the while his murderer watched from the bushes, licking the blood off her muzzle with glee as she mentally targeted each of them and deciding on which one to pick off next before finally settling on Ono.

" He'll be quick to warn the others of any impending danger...if only I had some kind of distraction for the wimpy wiener...Hmmmm. I can't get my family involved in this, it'll be too obvious. " Rei Rei pondered for a moment and rested her sights to Jasiri and recalled hearing of stories from her mother on the ending of Scar's Reign of Pride Rock and the Shenzi's clan and the rumors of them being still out there somewhere else in Africa. " Well, if Janja won't help me, I'll just track the old clan down myself! they shouldn't be that hard to track. " she got up from her spot and started to leave before giving one last look to Kion and his friends as they hauled Bunga's body to the Pride Lands. " Don't mourn the honeybadger, Kion...you and your friends will be joining him soon. "

Back in the Outlands, Rei Rei was grooming herself when her husband sat beside her and watched with a look of concern on his features and shifting nervously with his fore paws. " You look like you're about to leave somewhere. " He said in observation.

" That I am, I'm going to take a little trip to find some old rumors Goi Goi. " Rei Rei explained. " I'm going to need you to watch the pups and keep an eye on things while I'm gone, try not to take your naps. think you can handle that? "

" I guess so, Sugar Paws..." Goi Goi said in slight irritation. " I was hoping on coming with you and let the others watch the kiddos. "

" That's real sweet of you, dear. but I can handle myself. " Rei Rei assured him as she licked her lower areas. " In case you're going to ask about my day, I killed Bunga today.." she admitted with a smile. " he screamed and screamed as I tore him apart, it was so great to end that little waste of space for good. Got sick of his stupid songs and his antics everyday. "

" But-b-b-b-ut I liked the little guy..." Goi Goi said solemnly to his wife. " He was a good kid..."

" He was nothing but a hindrance and needed to be dealt with, I will not have any hindrances in my plans for the Lion Guard, I need to have Kion isolated and alone when I finally get to him...then we'll have all the food we could ever need and we're share it with the other Outlanders when things settle down...eventually anyway. "

" And what about, Simba? " Goi Goi asked. " Won't he come after us and the kids? "

" Which is why I'm taking this trip in the first place, Honey. " Rei Rei answered. " I'm going to need a distraction so I can sneak in and off the little bastard before he runs to daddy. "

" Sounds dangerous..." Goi Goi asked. " Are you sure you don't want me to come with? "

" I'm positive Goi Goi, now go watch over Dogo and Kijana. I shall return in a few days. " Rei Rei said as she nuzzled her mate and joined him to say her goodbyes and telling them to behave for their daddy and pack mates.

Rei Rei made her way through the ruins of the Elephant Graveyard, the bones of which long since collapsed over time due to becoming brittle, crawling her way underneath the giant rib cages that formed arched pathways like in Christopher Columbus Park in Boston Massachusetts as she followed the trail of scents that took her far reaches of the African Landscape until the trail finally ended to a series of caves and tunnels as an entire clan of hyenas came out to greet and surround their trespasser with snarls and growls when she bumped against their bone chimes.

" Hello boys and gals, how are you all doing? " Rei Rei greeted as she seated herself politely tail a wagging and with a big smile on her face. " I'm here to speak with your matriarch, Shenzi. "

" Yeah? what do you want to know, Trespasser? " The hyena in question called out as she and her henchmen, Banzai and Ed came walking out of a northern tunnel to see the black backed jackal waiting for them with a warm smile. " State your name and your business here in our territory and then get out of here! "

" Gladly, Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jacquelina Hyena. " Rei Rei replied. " My name is Rei Rei, I'm from the Outlands and I'm a huge fan of your work, what you did to Mufasa and Scar was simply amazing and divine! you really know how to overthrow those pesky rulers, am I right? " She chuckled to herself due to no one else finding her recalling their past to them very funny. " Okay, very awkward but no matter moving on, here's the rub, I'm going to need a distraction for these couple of kids I need to deal with, they're called The Lion Guard. a very aggravating bunch I very much attest to and I don't want to involve my family in case things go south you know? "

" And you don't care if it backfires on us, right? Pfft, we're done doing someone else's dirty work, Rei Rei. " Shenzi scoffed.

" You know how to get to Simba...he's all yours if you help. " Rei Rei sweetened the deal.

" We did him a favor and he let us go our own way, no need to rock the boat, Senorita. " Banzai chimed in.

" You're very pretty. " Ed said flirtatiously, much to the annoyed glares of his friends, Shenzi rolling her eyes and Banzai punching him in the shoulder and shaking his head.

" I'm married so fuck off. " Rei Rei dismissed. " Okay okay...hmmm...I'll share his son's corpse with you after I kill him. "

" No...Say, you know Timon right? about the size of this stalactite and has a fat pig named Pumbaa? " Shenzi asked her.

" That I do, why? " Rei Rei replied as she cocked her head. " Do you know him personally or something? "

" Sure I do, he proposed to me a long time ago and I want him here alive, you can do what you wish to the pig, I don't give a damn. " Shenzi offered. " You do that and we have a deal, Sista. "

" I think I can manage that, we have a deal then, let's shake on it. " Rei Rei agreed to the terms as she held out her paw to Shenzi, who firmly grasped hers in return, to which she restrained herself from fangirling right in front of her. " Consider this a powerful relationship between two serial killers. "

" Likewise. " Shenzi agreed. " Now that that's done, why don't you stay with us for the night? we have plenty of room. "

" I would appreciate it, actually. Thank you. " Rei Rei said. " I already ate so no need to hunt dinner for me. " She said as she coughed up Bunga's pelvis bone.

" You're going to eat that? " Ed asked with joyful look on his face.

" No, go ahead. " Rei Rei replied with an eyeroll.

Back in the raining and cold Pridelands, everyone was gathered around for Bunga's funeral while birds dropped flowers from overhead as everyone bowed their heads in silent reverence for the fallen honey badger as Timon and Pumbaa cried their eyes out for their adopted son as some outlanders came to pay their respects while putting their animosity for the Lion Guard aside for this sad time, Janja included as he sat beside Kion and patted him on the back.

" I'm truly sorry, Kion. " He told him. " He was a good friend. "

" Thank you Janja...that mean a lot coming from you. " Kion thanked as he stared at the body stoically. " Who could of done this to him...and why? "

" Well, if it helps and you didn't hear this from me, but Rei Rei is out for your blood, and not just you either, Kion. " Janja revealed as he gestured to Ono, Besthe and Fuli. " You must have done something to set her off "

" I could have.." Kion said with a devious smirk before going back to grieving. " It helps, but that's not what Bunga would want us to do...use his name for some pointless revenge. He would have want us to move on with our lives. "

" I know he wouldn't...but I'm just warning you ahead of time so that you guys stay safe for now. "Janja told him. " Don't worry, we'll try not to cause any trouble in the meantime. "

" Is that a promise? " Kion asked with a knowing smirk as he wiped his tears.

" No..not really. But hey, even enemies show respect. " Janja said as he took his leave. " See you around. "

Kion rolled his eyes humorously as he rested with Fuli and Jasiri which wasn't for long when Ogopa the aardwolf showed up carrying a wreath in her mouth and sat down in front of him and stared at him awkwardly with a growing blush on her cheeks.

" I'm so very sorry for your loss, Kion." She paid her condolences. " I made this myself to place it in the hole, I thought Bunga would like it." she then gently placed it on Bunga's body and sat beside Jasiri, who gave her the side eyes. " You holding up okay? "

" Trying to.." Kion answered her. " I'm missing him already..."

Laying her head on the lion's back, Ogopa purred softly as she took in his scent.

" Welcome to the Harem, Ogopa. " Fuli chuckled with Jasiri.

" You guys are not my girlfriends! " Kion protested. " Also priorities! " he pointed to Bunga's body.

" Bunga would have wanted it this way. " Rani chimed in as she nuzzled Kion. " All ships are valid. "

" Oh come on! " He sighed. " Why am I such a chick magnet? " he lamented as Rani, Fuli, Jasiri and Ogopa cuddled him in a dogpile. " Oh geez, who's next, Mpishi ?"

" Yes. " the carrier hawk said as she perched herself on the lion's head, pecking him lovingly, much to his chagrin. " Tough break on your pal there. " she said as she tossed a flower in Bunga's grave as it was getting filled in.

" Because you're so cool, dude! " Bunga's ghost said with a chuckle as he ate a bug. " Rani's right you know. "

" Shut up Bunga..." Kion growled.

" Kion, show some respect son. " Simba chastised him as Nala shook her head in disapproval. " Your pack of girlfriends are eating dinner with us by the way. "

" Walt Damnit! " Kion cursed. " You're making things worse, Dad! "

" King's orders, Kiddo. " Nala teased. " Your grandfather was the same way. "

" Why must I suffer? " Kion bemoaned.

Goi Goi sat on a hill and watched the funeral from afar as tears rolled down his cheeks. " I should have stopped her, little guy...I hate being a coward.." he sobbed. " But I will make things right with the Lion Guard. that's a promise! "
