Chapter 5: Dog Meets Dog
Stella was still on the phone right now, talking with her husband.
Jean-Luc had finished his meeting and also got in contact with the Barrington-Uphams and they managed to work out the final details about the arrangement.
"It is all set, Mon Cheri. They shall be here tomorrow and they will bring Lord Winthrop with them. I have also book up a table at the platinum room for the occasion..."Jean-Luc said over the phone.
"I see. Wonderful, Jean-Luc. I'll tell Fifi that her Prince Charming will be here tomorrow. Oh, I know that she will be so excited..."Stella said, happy that everything has been set up.
"She should be. This arrangement is costing us a pretty penny, but it will be worth it in the end..."He said.
"Yes, Fifi will have the most adorable puppies ever!..."Stella said happily, before talking more with her husband.
Once done, she hung up the phone and went to Fifi. She seemed excited as she spoke to her beloved pet.
"Fifi, good news. Your new boyfriend is all ready to meet you tomorrow. I know that he will turn your little frown upside down..."She said cheerfully.
Fifi didn't seem to react, and Stella sighed as she didn't hear anything from her beloved pet. She did try to comfort her in her own way.
"I know you can't really understand me, but I hope that you know that you'll be happy again soon, once you meet your Mr. Right..."Stella said, as she went to see her dog.
However, she didn't see her anywhere.
"Fifi?..."Stella asked, as she looked around.
She soon saw that the door was opened and gasped.
"Oh no! Not again!..."She exclaimed, as she saw that the door was left opened and her precious dog in nowhere to be seen.
"FIFI!..."She called out, but she didn't see her dog anywhere.
Elsewhere
Danny and Star were still looking for the ghost that was causing trouble.
They soon arrived near a park, where they saw a lot of people were running away from the area.
"I'm guessing this is where the ghost is..."Danny said, stating the obvious.
"Looks like it..."Star said, while Danny nodded.
His ghost sense then went off again, and he sighed.
"As if on cue..."He said.
"Any idea who yet? There is still a chance that it's someone other than Cujo?.."Star asked.
They suddenly heard the sound of nearby garbage cans knocking over, cats screeching and people screaming.
"AHHH! THE GIANT DOG BEAST MONSTER GHOST IS BACK! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!..."Someone yelled in a distance, as they kept running.
Danny and Star both sighed at this.
"It really is Cujo again? Already?..."Star asked, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Looks like it. This is the 8th time he's visited this week..."Danny said, also shaking his head.
"Come on. May as well try and see if any of the advice in these books will actually work..."Danny said, and his girlfriend nodded.
The two soon ventured into the park, hoping to find the ghostly mutt and stop him before he causes any more trouble.
With Cujo
Cujo had arrived to the park, trying to find something and someone to play with.
However, he got hungry and that made him "emotional" again.
He shifted to his "bigger" form and tried to find something to eat.
However, the ghostly dog big side and feral appearance caused a scene and scared the other dogs and people that were going about their daily lives.
"GRRRR!..."Cujo snarled, scaring citizens and other wannabe mad dogs trying to act tough, only to ran away from Cujo like scaredy cats.
Cujo didn't seem to notice, as he was still looking for something to eat.
"Now where can I find some lunch?..."He thought, before spotting a nearby hot dog cart.
He got excited again and grew a toothy grin that showed off nearly all his sharp looking fangs, and practically drooled a puddle as well.
"FOOD!..."He thought, as he ran to the cart and made the guy who owned the cart go complete pale as a ghost.
That same guy saw the ghost boy and screamed in terror.
"AHHH! GHOST!..."He screamed, before running away.
Just in time, as the ghost dog began to eat all the contents of the cart with glee.
"Oh boy, I hit the jackpot!..."He thought, as he kept wolfing it down.
It was then that certain ghost boy and his blonde girlfriend showed up and saw what he was doing.
"Oh man, not again!..."Star said in dismay, while her boyfriend tried to rein in the pooch.
"Cujo! Heel!..."Danny yelled, as he tried to calm the ghost dog down and speaking in a commanding tone in hopes that he'll stop.
Cujo saw him and his tail wagged in excitement as soon as he saw him.
"Oh boy, my friends are back. Now we can play together again! Oh boy!..."The ghost dog thought happily, as he began to race towards their side.
Cujo ran towards them and Danny saw that he was rushing towards them.
"Oh man! Not again!..."He said, as the ghost dog got hyperactive again and is still in his huge form.
"Hey buddy, did you two come find me because you both wanted to play too? Did ya?! Did ya?! Did ya?!..."Cujo said as he jumped up and down in excitement, but his large size made the ground around them shake a bit with every jump.
"Whoa!..."Star said as she grabbed onto a nearby tree to steady herself as the ghost dog kept jumping in excitement.
"That's SO much cuter when he's small..."She muttered, trying to maintain her balance.
The Ghost saw how Star nearly lost her balance from Cujo's actions and tried his best to calm the big ghost dog down.
"Cujo, chill out. You need to calm down..."Danny tried, but the ghostly pooch was as hyperactive as ever.
Cujo didn't understand him, and still assumed that he wanted to play.
"Huh? I wonder what that mean-...Wait a Minute?..."The ghostly pooch thought, as his nose caught a particular scent.
He suddenly sniffed and soon spotted a nearby cat, and Cujo's canine instincts took over once more.
"SQUIRREL! I mean CAT!..."He thought, as he got aggressive and growled.
The cat saw him and shrieked as it tried to escape. Cujo chased after it.
"Cujo, no! Bad dog!..."Danny shouted.
"Not again! This is the 10th time this month!..."Star said as her boyfriend chased down Cujo, who was currently chasing a very scared cat.
The couple tried to go after the ghost dog, before he ended up hurting the cat and causing some unwanted damage.
"Gotta stop him before this becomes a repeat of the time he cost Val's dad his job..."Danny said, as he went after the overly-emotional ghostly mutt.
Meanwhile
Fifi has already left the Polter Heights area, and was now walking by herself.
"Good, I can enjoy myself in the park. I can even smell the fresh grass, trees and dirt to run and roll around it. Even if I cannot do the last one, this is still nice..."She thought, as she began to race towards the park.
She soon arrived to the park that was nearby her home. Her tail wagged as soon that she saw it.
"Oh boy, the park!..."She thought, as she ran inside, since she always had fun here.
Fifi was just glad to get out of the house and take in the natural fresh air, and not having to deal with people giving her orders or having someone tell her to keep her fur clean.
"This is nice..."She thought happily to herself.
All the while, she was unaware of the commotion caused by the ghost dog, who was still giving a certain ghost kid some trouble.
Back with Danny
"Cujo, get back here!..."Danny shouted as he held Star as he kept flying.
"This is getting old really fast!..."Star said, as she was right behind their tails and focused on rescuing the cat before Cujo got to it first.
"GET BACK HERE, YOU STUPID CAT!..."The ghost dog thought, as he chased the frightened feline.
However, Danny was starting to get tired of this chase and decided to end it.
"Okay, that does it. It looks like somebody needs a time out..."He said, as his eyes glowed bright green.
Once Danny signaled to Star into heading where the cat was running towards, the ghost boy created a ghost shield that blocked Cujo from chasing down the cat.
"Hey, what's going on?..."Cujo thought in dismay, not understanding what is happening now.
"Got you..."Danny said, while his girlfriend went to get the poor feline that Cujo was chasing.
"I got you..."Star said, as she managed to grab the cat and hid behind a tree.
She noticed the cat was shaking and hairs were sticking out all over, and she felt sorry for it.
"Poor thing, you must have been scared half to death..."She said gently, as she tried to calm it down while Danny tried to gain the big ghost dog's attention
"Cujo!..."Danny called out, as he quickly made a bright blue shiny snow ball filled with green ecto-energy.
However, Cujo wasn't paying attention as his focus was elsewhere right now.
"Cat! Gotta get that cat!..."The ghost dog thought, as the cat had caught more of his attention at the moment.
Cujo then forced his way out of the shield, much to Danny's dismay.
"HEY! NO! BAD DOG!..."Danny yelled, but the canine was too consumed by his instincts to listen to him.
Cujo tried to find that cat again, but soon something else caught his attention...and it was something that smelled like doggy heaven to him.)
"FOOD!..."Cujo thought in excitement, as he phased inside a butcher shop that was across the street from the park.
As people ran, he giant sized Cujo continued his search for something to eat. He grabbed a bunch of random meats and soon took about 10 pounds worth of meat, which he ate in one gulp. Once his hunger calmed, he relaxed and returned to his base form.
"Delicious!..."He thought, licking his lips.
Danny frowned.
"Cujo, no! That's not yours! Bad boy!..."Danny said, scolding him.
However, things were cut short as another problem arose and was making a scene.
"WILL ANYONE BE MY FRIEND?!..."Was heard.
"Not him again..."Danny complained.
"He's really, REALLY making it hard to feel sorry for him..."Star said, as she took out another Fenton Thermos.
"Come on, let's get him before he throws another tantrum..."Danny said.
"What about Cujo?..."Star asked, still a concerned about the ghost dog.
However, they suddenly heard the sounds of screams, yelling, a crash and they also watched as a frozen soda fridge being flung out a window and onto the street, the two teens knew who is the biggest liability here.
"We'll deal with him after this, you know that Klemper is way more destructive that he is..."Danny pointed out.
"True...and he doesn't have the excuse of being an animal to justify his actions..."She muttered.
"Yeah, now come on..."Danny said, as they went to stop Klemper who was currently freezing a convenient store.
They decided that since Cujo is in his base form and wouldn't be able to cause too much trouble on his own, the teenage couple went to deal with the much more annoying problem, while, leaving the ghost dog behind.
"Hey, come back. I thought we were still playing together..."He thought, feeling lonely again.
Cujo went from happy and relaxed, to sad and lonely in about an instant. The ghostly pooch looked down to the ground, and whimpered a bit.
"Now I'm all by myself...again..."He thought, feeling lonely as he really wanted someone to spend time with him again.
To the ghost dog, the number one really was the loneliest number in not just one word, but two worlds.
"What do I do now?..."The lonely dog thought.
He then saw the park entranced and perked up.
"Hey, it's the place where a lot of dog get to run around, dig in the ground, bury stuff, chase squirrels and mark our territories at. This place is always so much fun..."He thought, as he figured a quick run in the park would lift his spirits.
He ran inside, unaware that another canine with a much more feminine appearance is at the place as him.
Inside the park
Cujo was enjoying running in the park, while enjoying the endless game of chasing his own tail and only being a few inches from catching it.
"It's so close to me, yet no matter how far I run...I'm never close enough to grab it..."He thought as he chased his tail for about ten minutes before taking a break.
Once he managed to catch his breath, he did the one thing that that calms every dog. Cujo then rolling around in the freshly cut grass, and relaxed a bit more.
"This is really nice, but this would be so much better with someone to do this with..."He thought, wanting someone to play with and getting upset that no one seemed to even want to play with him.
Cujo's feelings of sadness and loneliness were slowly turning into anger and frustration, which was made evident when parts of his body were morphing into his huge dog form at a slow pace. Even his eyes were turning a bit redder than their usual shade.
However, he spotted something up ahead that caught his attention.
A pure white poodle, who was being walked by herself right now. She looked interested in running and playing, as she sniffed the ground around her.
Cujo stopped in place and his previous aggression was forgotten, and his attention was captured.
"Wow!~..."He thought, as he shifted back to his "good boy" form.
What he saw was without a doubt the most beautiful dog he has ever seen, with curly white fur, beautiful doe eye brown eyes and the way she bounces with every step she takes when she's excited was amazing... and she had a scent that mesmerized the ghost dog.
"Who is she? And what did she roll around in to smell like that? Even from here, she smells amazing!..."Cujo thought, as his tail wagged and his heart pounded at the sight of her.
Cujo felt something that he never felt before, something that made him feel lighter than air and he wasn't using his fly abilities to do it. He had a longing, puppy dog eye stare as he looked at the pretty poodle, not realizing how his tail was wagging right now.
All the while, Fifi stopped running for a moment, and noticed a completely different scent that she's never smelled before. She was really curious as to what this scent was.
"Oh my, now this smell is certainly new..."She thought as she sniffed the air.
Cujo, still captivated by her, decided to introduce himself.
"Why, hello there..."Cujo said, getting her attention.
"Oh, hello. Are you new around here?..."Fifi asked, as she had never seen any dog in that shade before.
"Not exactly, I've been around the block here and there. But I wouldn't call myself a resident here exactly..."Cujo said, being honest with the beautiful female poodle in front of him.
"So does that mean he is a stray? No, it can't be, he's wearing collar..." Fifi thought to herself, as they kept talking to each other.
"What about you, are you new to these parts of town?..."Cujo said as he wondered where she came from.
"Somewhat. My family and I moved here from Paris...well...I don't recall how long ago, but it feels like ages..."Fifi said, since time was different for dogs.
"I see. I'm not so sure how long I've been here either, but I know that I've been here long enough to see the white cold stuff that slowly falls from the sky cover everything and everywhere. From the giant doghouses that humans live in and the dirt the they don't roll around in whenever they see is, except maybe the little human pups where they roll around them and chase each other..."Cujo said, before pausing.
The green ghost dog was clearly talking about the snow in the winter, and how most humans stay indoors during that time of year.
"Speaking of chase..."He said, before he chased his tail for a moment.
Fifi found herself amused by this and smiled at him.
"Funny and cute. I like that. Why haven't we met before, Darling?..." She said, clearly interested in the oddly colored dog in front of her.
"Well, Beautiful. It seems that we travel in different kinds of circles..."Cujo said, as he begins to sniff and get to know Fifi's scent.
Fifi did the same. They both began to sniff each other in order to get to know each other better, a natural greeting between dogs. Once they both finished sniffing each other out, all that were left was to asking for each other's names.
"So, what is your name?..."Fifi asked, wanting to be polite.
"Hi Fifi, I'm Cujo. First name Cujo, last name No! Heel boy! Stop! Put that down!..."He said, as he introduced himself to the pretty poodle dog.
Fifi was amused by that, while the ghost dog liked that she actually laughed at one of his jokes.
"And you, what do humans call you?..."Cujo asked.
"I am called Fifi Brigitte Cosete Ivanna Georgette Bevier..."Fifi introduced herself.
"Geez, the name tag on your collar must be huge..."Cujo commented.
Fifi sighed.
"My owners chose that name, but I just prefer to be called Fifi..."She said.
"Okay, nice meeting ya, Fifi..."Cujo said, happy for the chance to talk to her.
"Likewise..."She said, giving the dog equivalent of a smile to him.
"So...what's a fancy poodle like you doing all by your lonesome here?..."He asked.
"Oh, I just decided to...go for a walk and I wanted to visit the park for a bit..."Fifi explained.
Cujo looked thrilled to hear that.
"I love going to parks!..."He said, looking enthusiastic as he said this.
An enthusiasm that Fifi shared.
"So do I! It's the best place to run!..."The poodle said, smiling at him.
"I love running too!..."Cujo said, and the female dog looked happy to hear that.
"Me too..."Fifi said, looking a bit eager herself.
"Do you like playing fetch, digging, chasing sticks, chasing cars and barking at random squirrels?..."Cujo asked.
"I love playing fetch, from balls to sticks...but I have never digged before. My owners are worried that it will ruin my fur..."Fifi said, looking a bit bashful at never having dug in the dirt before.
"Really? That's a real bummer. Digging is like one of my favorite things ever. It's fun to just dig a hole, hide something in it, fill in the hole and then dig it up again later. I can never get enough of that..."Cujo said.
"That does sound rather fun..."Fifi said, looking interested.
The female poodle even started to imagine digging a hole and burying one of the shoes that she and Pierre would play fetch with and digging it back up later.
It sounded even more fun, as she mentally imagined burying even more stuff that belonged to that cranky man that the Madame lived with.
"I don't know why, but the possibility of burying the cranky man's belongings seem like it would be really enjoyable... and maybe I should bury some of the yelling meanie's stuff too..."She thought, as she kept chatting with her new friend.
The two canines kept communicating with each other and talking about a lot of fun things to do as dogs, until a familiar sound alerted them. It was a light, rumbling sound that came from the female dog's tummy.
"Oh my. Apologies, it seem that I might have skipped lunch today..."Fifi said, feeling a little embarrassed from hearing her stomach growling in front of her new friend.
Cujo didn't mind it at all. In fact, he knew just the thing to fix that little problem of hers.
"I know a great butcher shop near here that has lots of meat. Wanna go grab a bite together. I can show you how to sniff out the good stuff..."Cujo offered.
Fifi seemed interested in taking the offer, but hesitated.
"I...I don't know. I mean...my owners are probably wondering where I am and I do not want the Madame to worry about me..."She said, referring to Stella.
She has been with that woman since she was a little puppy and loved her greatly. However, she has been bored for a long time and needed something to excite her life a bit.
Even so, she didn't want to worry her owner or hurt her feelings either. Cujo tilted his head, but understood the sentiment of not wanting to be the cause of trouble for their humans.
"I see. Well, maybe I can bring you some of the butcher shop's good meat at your place, if you're up for it..."He said.
"Why that would be very sweet of you..."Fifi said, as she thought it over.
She then looked at the ghost dog and thought that maybe meeting him was just the excitement she needed.
However, before anyone could say another word. A loud commotion was heading their way. Fifi then realize that these sounds were from wild dogs that sounded rather aggressive right now.
These wild dogs scouting out their territory and were angered that a couple of random dogs were trespassing on their turf. The leader of the pack was the first to approach them, glaring down at the smaller looking dogs.
"Well well well, what do we have here? A couple of collared dogs that don't belong here..."The alpha of the pack said, before staring at Fifi.
He looked intrigued as he eyed her.
"And a fancy dame. That's some collar you got there, Lassie. Must be nice being pampered like that..."He said, as he eyed her from head to paws.
"Uh...bonjour. My name is Fifi, not Lassie..."Fifi said nervously as she backed away.
"There's no need to try and act tough, Lassie. Why don't you ditch the runt and hang with us? We'll show you how REAL dogs run this turf..."The alpha dog, a really big bull dog and rottweiler mix said, as he approached her with some sort of intent.
The female dog kept stepping back, clearly intimidated by the stray dog.
"Um...I don't want any trouble and...and I think my owners are expecting me right now. I should...leave...right now..."She said as she tried to leave, but the other dogs blocked her path.
The Rottbull got angry at her refusal and got aggressive again.
"You saying "no" to me, Lassie?!..."He said, getting angry and glaring at her.
"So, some fancy pants purebred thinks she's too good for us, huh? Maybe someone ought to teach you how to act like a real dog..."The big dog said, and Fifi's friend glared at them.
"Hey, leave her alone!..."Cujo said, but was being underestimated by the stray dogs.
"Beat it, Runt! Go back to playing with your chew toys!..."The alpha said, as this wild dog was looking down on the ghost dog.
The alpha of the wild dogs had no idea what a giant mistake it was to belittle Cujo. The little green dog got angry at that, but the larger dogs ignored him as they continued to pester Fifi.
"If you won't show this alpha any respect like a real dog, then maybe we should teach you how to act like a real dog...the hard way...He said with a growl, frightening the poodle and making her run away.
Fifi ran as the pack of stray dogs chased her and tried to cut off her escape route, but she dodged and the chase continued.
"Oh no, help! Someone, please help me!..."Fifi barked out in a panic, as she kept running to get away.
Thankfully, the female poodle found a small opening in a fallen tree log that she used as a hiding spot to protect herself from the much larger and scary stray dogs.
Cujo got angry, and soon morphed into his feral mode. He then flew fast and phased through the trees and rocks in his way, cutting off the stray dogs before they reached Fifi's hiding place.
He then growled and showed off his fangs to the group of wild dogs.
"BACK OFF!..."He thought in a ferocious way.
The pack of strays were horrified by the sight of the giant ghost dog and ran away with their tails between their legs. Some of them even peed in terror right then and there...especially the so-called alpha who was the most frightened right now.
"RUN! IT'S A MONSTER!..."The alpha stray whimpered in horror, before he turned tailed and the other strays did the same.
The pack of strays soon ran away, leaving the two dogs behind.
Cujo smirked at this, feeling like payback has been delivered.
"What a bunch of puppies. I guess they're the runts now..."He thought, before he morphed back.
He soon went to the white poodle who was still hiding, and shaking in fear. The green ghost dog tried to calm her down.
"Hey, it's all clear now, Fifi. Those losers are gone now..."Cujo said.
"They are? Those brutes are gone?..."Fifi asked, surprised and still a little shaken.
"Yep, I guess that they aren't as tough as they say there are..."Cujo said in a smirking way.
Fifi crawled from her hiding spot, she looked around her surroundings and saw for herself that the pack of stray dogs were indeed gone.
She was both surprised and impressed that Cujo somehow managed to defend her against those brutes and succeeded. She was also grateful for his help too.
"T-Thank you..."Fifi said, sounding grateful.
Cujo sent the dog equivalent of a smile at her.
"No problem. What are friends for..."He said, happy to have helped her.
Fifi wanted to say something else, but she then recalled that she had to get back to Stella and Pierre soon, as they might be looking for her right now.
"Oh no. I am going to be late. I will be scolded for sure if I don't make it back soon..."Fifi said, as worried that she might get a bad scolding from the madame or that mean, skinny man who is living with her.
"If you want, I can help you get there..."Cujo said.
"How?..."Fifi asked.
"Like this..."Cujo said as he floated in the air.
Fifi was surprised, but stared in amazement.
"Incredible. How are you doing that? No one teaches that at the obedience school I went..."She said, as she looked up at the floating down.
"That's nothing, just watch what I can really do..."Cujo said as he morphed into his larger form, showing off his signature superpower.
Fifi was taken back, with her tail hiding beneath her legs. She was stunned, but also intrigued.
"Oh my! Sacrebleu!..."She said. "Is that really...you, Monsieur Cujo?..."She wondered, intimidated but also fascinated by the change.
"Calm down, no worries. I'm still the same dog you met before. True, I sometimes get carried away when I get mad...or hungry...or really really excited...but I am still the same dog..."He said, showing off a playful look on his face to show that he means her no harm.
"I'm like this right now, since I am a lot faster this way..."He said.
Despite his fearsome appearance, Fifi didn't think that he would harm her.
"I'll admit that this giant form of your is charming in its own way, but how will this help me get back home?..."Fifi said, looking unsure right now.
Big Cujo then laid down on the ground and gestured for her to climb on his back. Fifi still looked unsure, but the ghost dog tried to speak gently to her.
"I can get you back home soon. You just have to ride on me and I will get you as fast as I can..."He offered.
"Is that safe?..."She asked.
"Sure, I promise that I won't go too fast. Come on, do you trust me?..."Cujo asked.
"What?..."Fifi asked, looking a bit perplexed of what was asked of her.
"Do you trust me?..."Cujo asked, while talking in a much more gently and calming tone as he kneel down to look her in the eyes.
Fifi was silent. In a life like hers, she was never asked for her own opinion on something or anything at all. She was just told what to do and expected to obey it or be scolded.
To hear someone genuinely wanted to know what she opinions and thoughts were about was something she is not used to...but it felt nice.
Fifi thought about it and decided to place her trust on the one who saved her from the wild dogs that were going to hurt her.
She knew her answer now.
"Yes..."She said, feeling that she was going to be in good paws with him.
"Cool. Now hop on..."Cujo said, as he lied down and offered a paw to help her climb.
Fifi took it.
She climbed onto Cujo's back and the ghost dog took off, being careful so that she didn't fall off as he flew at gentle pace.
"Ready?..."Cujo asked.
"Yes, I am ready..."Fifi nodded, as she even bit onto Cujo's collar to hold onto him.
"Good, now hang on!..."Cujo said, before he took off.
"OH MY!..."Fifi thought in shock, as she bit down a little harder on the collar to maintain a grip.
The two of them took to the sky, the female poodle felt the rush of wind flow through her like the sensation of poking your head up the car window, except this tine she felt it all over her body.
She felt the wind rush through her fur and felt as if she was running next to the clouds.
"Wow!..."She thought, as she found herself enjoying this, as the ghost dog continued to fly her back to her home.
Later
Cujo soon arrived to the balcony of a certain floor on Polter Heights, he made sure that back was floating at just the right height so that he could help Fifi jump off his back, and land safely on top of her home floor.
"Here we are. Home sweet home..."Cujo said, wanting to lighten the mood before saying goodbye.
"Thank you very much, Monsieur Cujo..."Fifi said grateful.
"Just call me Cujo, Fifi. My name is good enough on it's own..."Cujo said happily, glad that he could help her.
"If you insist, Cujo..."Fifi said, smiling at him.
Cujo wagged his tail in enjoyment at hearing his name come out of Fifi's lips. He felt his little heart skip a beat and felt himself really taken by her.
"She sure is...something else..."He thought, clearly gone already.
Cujo kept staring at her and Fifi noticed.
"Uh...Cujo?..."She asked, and the dog noticed that he was staring right now.
"Oh...uh...I better get going before I'm spotted by some cranky humans..."Cujo said, a little embarrassed right now
"Well...uh...it's been fun..."He said.
"Yes, it has..."Fifi agreed.
"I hope I'll get to see you again really soon, Fifi..."Cujo said, as he took his time saying his farewells for now.
"Yes, I...I hope so too..."Fifi said.
"FIFI!..."Stella's frantic voice could be heard.
"Oh dear, the Madame is calling for me. I must go..."She said.
"Okay, see you around, Beautiful. I really hope that we meet again..."Cujo said earnestly.
"As do I...Cujo..."Fifi said, and the ghost dog sent her another infatuated look before floating.
"See ya..."He said, before flying away.
Now it was Fifi's turn to wag her tail in enjoyment. She would have kept staring but recalled that her owner was looking for her. Fifi went back to her home and Stella saw her. She gasped in relief and ran to her, pulling the pampered pooch in for a hug, embracing her out of worry
"Oh Fifi, don't scare me like that! I was about to call the police to go out searching for you!..."Stella said, before hugging her once more.
She was concerned about her poodle's well-being, and was just glad that she was alright.
Fifi felt guilty for causing her to worry like this.
"I am sorry, Madame. I didn't mean to be gone for so long..."She thought, feeling guilty while her owner started to calm down a bit now.
"I'm just glad that you are alright. You must have been so frightened from being out there all on your own. But don't worry. Mommy isn't going to let something like that happen again..."She said, as she cooed at her dog like she was a toddler.
However, during the last part of her little adventure, Fifi wasn't frightened and she certainly wasn't alone, but she couldn't exactly tell her that.
"I wonder when I'll see that dog again?..."Fifi thought to herself, as she went home with Stella.
A few moments later
Fifi soon returned home with her owners, who kept the female poodle close to her side the entire time.
"Note to self, be more careful when I open and close the door..."Stella muttered, just glad that Fifi was home now.
However, the pampered poodle was still had her thoughts racing over the strange dog that she just met.
"That Cujo is definitely one strange dog..."She thought, before smiling.
"But he is cute...and surprisingly gallant, despite how silly he sometimes acts..."She thought, as her tail wagged a bit as she felt a small flutter in her heart as she thought more about the ghost dog.
She stared out the window of the penthouse, and her mind went back to the flight they had together...and how kind her new friend was to her.
"I hope that I can see him again soon..."She thought, her tail wagging a bit as she thought about him.
All the while, she was hoping that the same ghost dog was thinking about her too.
Meanwhile
Danny and Star were in the park near Polter Heights right now. They were frustrated, since Cujo got away.
"Stupid Klemper. He just had to freeze everything within a three block radius. I'm just glad that it's starting to melt!..."Danny complained.
"That frosty jerk nearly ruined my new running shoes too..."Star said, as she really liked these new shoes of hers.
"I'd bill him for them, but I don't wanna talk to that creep if I can help it..."She muttered.
"Good idea, since he'd probably try and insist that you guys are friends if he gave you a pair of shoes and who knows how'd clingy he'd be then..."Danny said, and Star shuddered.
"Speaking of clingy..."Star paused, as this wasn't the only thing that was bothering them at the moment.
They went back to talking about Cujo, and how much of a handful he has been lately. The same one that they were looking for, but they couldn't find anywhere.
"This is nuts. I know he's a ghost and can make himself invisible, but how did we lose him so fast..."Danny said, worried as they kept looking.
Still, there was no sign of the ghost dog or any of his signature calling card of random acts of property damage
"Come on, he couldn't have gotten far..."Star said, worried about him.
They searched a over the park and were about to head towards the butcher shop to see if he was there or not.
"Do you think that he went back to the Ghost Zone or something?..."Star asked.
"I doubt it, we never get that lucky with ghosts..."Danny said.
"True. But since I don't hear people screaming or the sound of cats shrieking in terror, maybe he got tired and fell asleep somewhere..."Star suggested.
"Maybe. Until we find him...we might as well go over the dog training books that your mom loaned us, just in case we run into him again..."Danny suggested.
"Good idea..."Star said, as they took one book and began to read it's tips and instructions for dog training, hoping that they held some useful information for their next encounter with the ghost dog.
"I just hope that this book can teach us some actual helpful tips on how to properly train Cujo for when we see that little guy again..."Star said, as she still thought about the little guy.
"He's cute, but he really can be a handful..."She muttered.
"Understatement of the year. I just hope that we can find some way to calm him down before the S.W.A.T. show up as dog catchers..."Danny said, as he continued to read.
However, Star suddenly received a phone call and saw that it was her father, Johnathan.
"Hi Dad..."Star greeted.
"Hi Princess. Where are you? You and Danny are late..."Her father said.
"Late?..."Star asked, confused.
"You both promised to help move in the rest of your grandparents stuff. Don't tell me that you forgot..."Johnathan said.
Recalling their promise, Star groaned.
"Oh...right. Don't worry...Danny and I will be there soon. Promise..."Star said quickly, mentally kicking herself for forgetting.
A few moments after talking to her father on the phone, Star hung up. She then turned to her boyfriend and groaned.
"Darn it. I forgot about that..."Star said, sighing.
"Let's just go help your grandparents out and then we'll try and find Cujo again. Hopefully, he won't cause anymore trouble while we help you grandparents...and hopefully with the help of these books, we'll be better prepared by then..."Danny said.
"Agreed..."Star said, with a nod.
The lovebirds soon went to go to Star's grandparents new house to help out, unaware that the ghost dog was still in Amity Park.
He was now laying on a meadow of flowers at the park, but he wasn't running or causing mischief right now. Now, he had an infatuated look on his face as he stared at the sky, sighing dreamily as he thought about a certain pooch that he just met.
"Fifi is really...wow!~..."He let out, as he continued to look at the sky and think about her.
It was clear to anyone that the ghost dog was now experiencing a brand new emotion that he has never felt before...and there was no stronger emotion to tame a beast than love.
Oh boy.

REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewer:
RonaldM40196867:
1) Kinda.
2) I see your point.
3) I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens.
4) A while.
Luiz4200: Yeah, the dogs name was somewhat inspired by that snooty Snubbull.
Invader Johnny: How is this so far?
Jebest4781: Thank you :)
Guest:
1) Thank you for the suggestion. I will think about it.
2) Thank you for the suggestion. I will think about it.
3) I say something similar to what she has received in the Stranded series. I at least think that she and Danny should have officially buried the hatchet before the show ended.
4) I think that she should have learned to be less invasive to other people, even if she had good intentions.
5) Maybe.
6) Hard to say.
7) I prefer Danny's current look to be honest.
8) Thank you for the suggestion. I will think about it.
JDF Legacier Morphicon: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) Definitely.
2) I think it would be different.
3) It was implied in the show that he was a guard dog at Axiom lab, before they..."retired" him.
4) No comment.
5) Sorry, but I like that idea even less than Vlad being Danny's biological son.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
