AN: Hey everyone, I am back with more of this series. There are three chapters planned out that I am in the process of writing. These are back in the school setting with some interesting playstyles on display. As the title may give away, we see someone special arrive in the mail today. The duel here was very time consuming, but it was very amusing to think of. Hope you enjoy this chapter, leave a review with your comments and questions, and have a nice day.

See Datasheet Chapter for cover art details.

Chapter 30 – The Cat and The Dog

Students sat in a lecture room with Sienna leading. She stood before a large screen image of an animal's skull. "Now, can any tell me which type of canine they think this was?" She asked before seeing a few hands raise, picking on the maiden Slifer Red.

"Oh, is that a Wolf?" Blair answered.

"No," Sienna answered before pointing to the face of the skull, "The angle from the nose to the top of the head is too large for this to be a wolf." She said with Blair pouting, "Would you like to try another guess?"

"Uh, a Coyote?" Blair guessed.

"No, they have an even flatter skull." Sienna answered with Blair sinking in her seat, "Is there anyone you care to call on who you think would know the answer?" She said before glaring at Jaden, who was napping in his arms, "Someone who is awake?" Sienna said with her anger building.

Blair then turned to her right, seeing her roommate. "Ruby, do you know it?"

"Of course," Ruby answered with a smile before turning to Sienna, "It's a dog."

"Correct, domestic dogs often have a skull that is angled close to ninety degrees." Sienna elaborated as continued her lecture, showing other skulls, "You see how a couple of the examples Blair mentioned are very different shapes, but all are still part of the canine family."

Blair turned to her friend with a smile, "Thanks Ruby, you helped me out there." She whispered to not disturb the lesson, "I don't know why they have a Zoology class at this school. It has nothing to do about duel monsters."

"Well, if all classes were about duel monsters, I think people would still get tired of it. This keeps things fresh and lets us learn something different." She said before noticing Sienna smile as she pointed out more of the difference in the skulls' teeth, "Plus, she seems to really like talking about animals. It gets me a little enthuses myself."

"I guess," Blair said with a sigh, "Still, how did you know that was a dog?"

"Well, I just saw its face and it reminded me of Zw- OH NO!" Ruby said before raising her hand, "Uh, can I use the restroom!"

"Ruby, the school day is almost over. Can't you wait until the last bell?" Sienna responded but saw the look of panic in the hooded Slifer Red's eyes. "…Okay, you can be ex-" She was saying before seeing a flash of red, then saw rose petals fall onto the floor. Sienna sighed before continuing her lesson.

Back at the Slifer Red dorm, Chazz just handed back a sighed confirmation of his order to a delivery man. The delivery man nodded before leaving the massive stake of parcels to the affluent Obelisk Blue. Chazz smiled as he looked at the stake, "Nice, should be everything I need to take The Chazz's recreation room to the next level." He said as he mentally counted all the boxes. However, he noticed the math was off, "Wait, did they send me something extra?" He said before noticing a foot-long cylindrical container. In picking it up, he realized it was not directly addressed to him, "This is to Ruby." He said before noticing the air holes in the package, then hearing a small bark.

Out of curiosity. Chazz opened the package and saw a black tufted of fur. In turning the container upside down and shaking it like a ketchup bottle, a cylinder of fur slid out. The fur then reformed into the shape of a black and white corgi with a lovable smile, "Arf!" He spoke as Chazz remained deadpan.

In the distance, a voice called out, "ZWEI!" Ruby screamed as she ran towards the dorm. The corgi turned to her and panted in joy.

"…" Chazz remained silent until Ruby picked up the corgi, "…Who mailed you a dog?"

"Oh, that was my Dad. He called me last night to say I should be checking the mail in the morning, then I forgot." Ruby answered, "He does this from time to time when Yang or I aren't home for a while. It's so Zwei doesn't forget us."

"…" Chazz returned to remaining silent, but spoke up after sighing, "You know dogs aren't really allowed on the island."

"But… Look at him!" Ruby said while holding Zwei a few inches from Chazz's face.

"Arf!" Zwei barked as Chazz remained steadfast.

Suddenly, the three Ojama Brothers emerged from his deck in spirit form, "Aw look at the little fella." Ojama Yellow commented.

"He's so adorable." Ojama Black added on.

"I bet he's feisty," Ojama Green said with Zwei turning to the brother, "Eh, can he see us?"

"I think so," Ojama Black responded, "I heard that animals could see spirits." He said with Zwei's eyes lighting up and mouth salivating, "Uh?"

"Hey," Ojama Yellow asked with sweat forming, "Why does he look hungry?"

"Arf!" Zwei said as he jumped out of Ruby's arms, his teeth chomping towards the Ojama Brother's

"AAAAHHHH!" The Ojama Brother's screamed as they evaded the bites, trying to hide behind Chazz, "BOSS, HELP! It's trying to eat us!" they said as Zwei jumped again.

However, Ruby caught the corgi in midair. "I'm so sorry!" Ruby panicked as Zwei was chomping at the air, "I don't know what got into him."

"…Maybe he's hungry," Chazz said with the Ojama Brother's still shaking in terror, "Did your Dad pack any food for him in that tiny canister?" He sarcastically asked.

"Actually," Ruby was about to say before remembering something, "First things first, I need to hide him before the Slifer Headteacher finds out and-"

"And what?" Ruby was cut off by a familiar voice. She and Chazz turned to see Sienna standing there, her arms crossed with Blair and Jaden right behind her, "I was wondering why you bolted off. Did you think you could hide this from me?"

"I, uh." Ruby said as she held Zwei close, "I thought you were going to make me send him back." She said with sadness in her eyes looking down at her pet's lovable smile.

However, she then saw Sienna's right hand gently pet Zwei on the head, "I would not do such a thing to a small creature." She said with Ruby looking back up with a smile, "Despite what you may think, I do not mind dogs."

"So, I can keep him here!?" Ruby said in joy.

"Hold on," Sienna responded, "I may not have a problem with him," She said before looking up at the roof of the Slifer Red Dorm, "But he does."

Ruby looked up to see Pharaoh glaring down at Zwei. The fat cat radiated a black aura, a sight hiss was heard through its fang. Ruby then heard a snarl come from her corgi, a noise she had not heard Zwei make before. She watched as the two animals were locked in, each focused on the other's movements. Pharaoh readied to pounce as Zwei flared his fangs, emanating a red aura.

"Huh, I have never seen Pharaoh so pumped," Jaden commented.

"Well, cats and dogs have have a rivalry that has be going on on for generations." Blair commented, "They don't have to know each other to get off on the wrong foot."

"Pharaoh has already claimed this island for himself." Sienna commented, "If your corgi wishes to stay, he will have to prove his dominance."

"Wait," Chazz interjected, "Are you saying that those two pets are going to fight."

"No, you have seen how heavy Pharaoh has gotten." Sienna commented before looking to Ruby, "You will duel for your dog's right to stay." She then looked up to Pharaoh, who started jumping off the roof and moving down the stairs to join the group, "And he will pick the duelist to represent himself for the match." She said with Pharaoh rubbing against Chazz's left leg, "And he has chosen you."

"What? Why me?" Chazz commented, "I don't care about this. I was just getting my new furniture." He said before having a realization, "Wait, Ruby? Does your dog often chew on things he shouldn't?"

"…No…" Ruby said while breaking eye contact, causing Chazz to narrow his gaze. He turned to Blair, who was nodding her head in confirmed the red hooded girl's lie.

"Okay, I'll represent the feline side." Chazz said before taking out his deck, "But my dragons and machines will be doing the talking in our duel."

"Meow!" Pharaoh commented.

"You're on." Ruby said as she pulled out her deck, "My Aromages are going to clean your clocks. For the dogs!"

"Arf!" Zwei agreed.

"Hm, both of you bring up something important." Sienna said before smirking, "Let's make this a little more interesting." She said before pointing to the hooded Slifer Red, "Ruby, you can only use cards with canine attributes."

"What!?" Ruby responded.

"And Chazz, you may only use feline-themed cards," Sienna informed the affluent Obelisk Blue.

"Huh?" Chazz responded, "But, are there even enough cards like that to make a deck?"

"There's enough," Sienna commented with her arms crossed, "I will call the card shop to order what both of you will be allowed to use." She then turned to Blair and Jaden, "You two will watch the duel and take notes to make up for last class."

"It's fine by me, this sounds a lot more fun than any school lecture." Jaden said before turning to Ruby, "If you want, I can loan you Wroughtweiler for this duel."

"Yeah," Blair added on, "You can use my Ryko and Wulf as well."

"Thanks," Ruby responded in joy, causing Zwei to have a lovable smile.

Chazz sighed, "Maybe I can call Blake and ask for a couple of her Lunalight cats." He said before seeing Pharaoh stare up at him with an intense gaze. Suddenly, a smirk formed on his face, "You picked me because I'm the strongest at this school. Well, do not worry. The Chazz can win no matter the cards in his deck."

Sienna watched as the students started conversing and planning strategies. A smile formed as she made her call to the card shop.

An hour and a half later.

In the open area outside the Slifer Red dorm, the duel was about to commence. Ruby stood on the right with Zwei sitting at attention. While Chazz stood on the left with Pharaoh stretching. The two students loaded their temporary deck into their respective duel disks. They had left their original decks into the respective rooms, with the Ojama Brother's watching from the window, each wearing a set of makeshift cat ears. Off to the side of the arena, Sienna watched with Blair and Jaden viewing from close by. "You can start when you're ready." The head teacher of Slifer Red announced.

"Duel!" Ruby and Chazz said as the battle of the beast had begun.

Chazz: 4000 Life Points

Ruby: 4000 Life Points

"Meow!" Pharaoh purred.

"Arf!" Zwei barked.

"Chazz gets the first move." Sienna made the call with the affluent Obelisk Blue drawing his sixth card.

"I set a monster and end my turn." Chazz did so before passing it off to Ruby.

"My move," Ruby said with a draw, then played the card instantly, "I summon Mad Dog of Darkness in attack mode." She said as the corrupted hound was formed. It snarled as the horns pulsated with the power of darkness, (1900 ATK / 1400 DEF). "Go, attack his set monster!" Ruby ordered with her hound charging into the battle, goring the set card with its horns.

The face-down revealed itself as a blue cat with yellow swirls, (0 ATK / 500 DEF). "Catnipped Kitty, not that powerful of a monster." Jaden commented, "Then again, I don't know that many cat cards that are super tough."

"But there are a few dog cards that can be strong." Blair commented as she looked at the Mad Dog, her mind returning to that memory in the woods, "And they can be a bit scary." She said as she slightly started to shake in fear. The maiden Slifer Red then looked over to Ruby, who remained focused on the duel.

"I set one card and end my turn," Ruby said before Chazz drew. Like his first turn, he set a monster and handed it back to the hooded Slifer Red. "Alright my draw," Ruby said before putting the card in hand, then summoning a new monster. "I play Chain Dog in attack mode." She said as white canine with a black spot over its left eye was summoned. Its body was bound by chains and a lock, but the key was in his mouth, (1600 ATK / 1100 DEF). "Now, I attack with Mad Dog like before." Ruby said as her monster charger into battle, but she activated a face-down card, "But so there is a little more bite this time, I reveal Howl of the Wild!"

"Oooowhooooo!" Zwei howled, despite the card art showing a bear.

The Mad Dog destroyed the set monster, revealing it as a black cat with golden jewelry, (500 ATK / 300 DEF). "Thanks to my trap's effect, when I destroy one of your monsters, you take 300 points of damage for each beast I control," Ruby said a Chazz gritted his teeth.

Chazz: 4000 – 600 = 3400 Life Points

"Now, Chain Dog attacks you directly!" Ruby ordered with canine bound creature tackling Chazz in the gut.

Chazz: 3400 – 1600 = 1800 Life Points

The affluent Obelisk Blue scowled as Ruby crossed her arms, having taken the lead by over double the life points. "You forgot about my set cat's effect. A Cat of Ill Omen lets me put a trap card on the top of my deck." He said before doing so, then drew his card. "Now, with nothing on my field, I special summon Watch Cat from my hand." He said as a resting blue cat sat in defense mode, a clock on its collar, (0 ATK / 1800 DEF). "Next, I'll set a monster and a card face down. That ends my turn."

Ruby drew, seeing the monster she was about to summon. "I play Nin-Ken Dog in attack mode." She said as a shinobi canine was summon to her side of the field. "Now, Mad Dog, attack his Watch Cat!" Slowly, the cat opened its eyes to see the dog of darkness about to bite down. With the shattering of the hologram, another cat went to the graveyard. "Howl of the Wild now activates, but since Nin-Ken is a beast-warrior, you take only 600 points of damage."

Chazz: 1800 – 600 = 1200 Life Points

"Still, Nin-Ken is about to wipe away your defenses. Attack his set monster." Ruby ordered as the shinobi canine dashed into battle.

"I activate my face down trap, Quantum Cat." Chazz counted as a cat appeared on the field, "This lets me use the trap as a level four monster with high defense points." He said as a black cat formed in the cage, (0 ATK / 2200 DEF). "I get to pick the attribute and type, so I'll go with a dark beast."

"Stalling like that still won't save you from damage," Ruby said right before Nin-Ken Dog dive kicked the set card. The card revealed itself to be a black cat with a white tail, (800 ATK / 500 DEF).

At that moment, Pharaoh purred. "Dark Cat with White Tail's flip effect activates. I get to send two monsters you control and one of mine back to the hand." Chazz called out, causing Ruby to gasp. Her Mad Dog and Chain Dog returned to her hand, while the caged cat went back to Chazz's, "While my cat was destroyed, you have no beast to activate your traps effect."

Ruby and Zwei grit their teeth, "I end my turn."

"Mine starts then," Chazz drew, "First, I play Monster Reincarnation."

"Hey!" Ruby called out, "Why do you get to use that card?"

"You know what they say, cats have nine lives." Chazz said as he discarded Tiger Axe a card to add another feline back, "Say hello Watch Cat again." He said as the blue feline returned in a special summon, (0 ATK / 1800 DEF). "But he won't be back for long. I tribute Watch Cat to summon Tiger Dragon!" The affluent Obelisk Blue declared as the blue cat shrouded in light, forming the shape of a yellow furred dragon with black stripes. The creature roared in unison with Pharaoh, both ready to attack. (2400 ATK / 1800 DEF). "Go, attack Nin-Ken Dog!" The Tiger Dragon opened its jaws before unleashing a blast of wind that shredded the shinobi canine. Ruby shield Zwei from the gale force as they took their first damage of the match.

Ruby: 4000 – 600 = 3400 Life Points

"Wow, he turned it around fast," Jaden commented.

"While cats may not have the power most dogs display. Most felines are craft enough to get out of tight situations." Sienna commented, "Now, its Ruby turn to think of a way to get over this obstacle."

Ruby drew but gritted her teeth at the result. She placed it in her hand before setting a different monster, "I'll end with this face down." She said as Chazz drew.

Chazz had a slight grin forming before summoning his monster. "I play Rescue Cat in attack mode." He said as an adorable white kitty with a hard hat was on the field, (300 ATK / 100 DEF). "I send him to the graveyard to summon two level three beast monsters from my deck." He said as the kitty flashed in a white light, "Meet Lock Cat and White Tiger." Appearing on his field was a white feline with a red tail and lock shaped collar, (1200 ATK / 1000 DEF). Next to it was a seemingly normal white tiger, ready to pounce on its prey, (1300 ATK / 500 DEF). "Now, Tiger Dragon destroys your set monster," Chazz ordered with another blast of wind launched. It was the Mad Dog on the receiving end, (1900 ATK / 1400 DEF). The corrupted hound was unable to withstand the attack before exploding. "Time for you to take a double dose of white fur. I attack directly with White Tiger and Lock Cat!" Both felines pounced, landing an X-shaped slash that left Ruby falling to one knee.

Ruby: 3400 – 1300 – 1200 = 900 Life Points

Ruby gritted her teeth again, but then saw Zwei whimpering, "Don't worry." She said as she petted her corgi, "We still got this." Ruby said before standing up.

Chazz crossed his arms as his two white felines faded away, "Due to the effect of Rescue Cat, the monsters summoned must go to the graveyard." He said before ending his turn.

"My draw," Ruby said before seeing the result smile at the card, "I reveal Danger! Dogman!"

"Danger!?" Jaden spoke up.

"Dogman!?" Blair added on, "Why did she reveal it?"

"You see, now that you know it's in my hand, you get to pick one card to go to my graveyard." Ruby said as she jumbled her hand of cards, "And if you don't pick Dogman, he gets special summoned out." She said before holding out her cards, "Now, you pick."

Chazz gritted his teeth, "That monster she showed has the same attack points as my Tiger Dragon." He thought before seeing her hand of six cards, meaning six options to pick from, "If I don't pick that monster, she will be able to destroy mine and then attack me directly for the win. I have to get this right." He said before a line of sweat ran down his face. However, he looked down at Pharaoh, who was fixated on the six cards. In a swift motion, he pointed to the right-most card with his tail. Chazz looked at the confidence in the fat cat's choice, causing him to smirk. "Okay, we'll pick the one on the far right!"

Ruby gasped but then smiled. She closed her eyes as she revealed the card was what she revealed earlier. Chazz grinned as he made the right call, while Pharaoh licked his paw, "Now, Danger! Dogman! can use his discard effect." She said while opening her eyes, causing Chazz to gasp and the fat cat to cough on some hair, "If he goes to the graveyard, all your monsters lose 1000 attack points." Chazz looked up to see his monster weakened by a red aura, (2400 – 1000 = 1400 ATK). "Now, welcome back Chain Dog." She said as the bound canine returned, (1600 ATK / 1100 DEF). "Go, attack Tiger Dragon!" Ruby ordered with her monster tackling the dragon in the chest, causing it to explode. "And don't forget about Howl of the Wild, that's 300 more damage."

Chazz: 1200 – 200 – 300 = 700 Life Points

"Amazing, she brought it back!" Blair cheered.

"But, the duels not over yet," Jaden added on as Chazz drew.

"I set one card face down and end my turn." He said as he had no monster on the field to defend with, while Ruby already knew the face-down card.

"My draw," Ruby announced, but did play a new card, "Chain Dog attacks you directly." She said, but face down revealed, causing the Quantum Cat to reappear, (0 ATK / 2200 DEF), "I was expecting that face down." Ruby said before her attack stopped. As she entered her second main phase, the hooded Slifer Red took a card out of her hand, "It may be a monster, but it is also a face-up trap card. So, I can send it back to your hand to special summon this little fella. Meet Magical Hound." She said as the cat in the cage vanished, causing a stainless-steel puppy to appear, (500 ATK / 800 DEF). Ruby then took a new card out of her hand, "Time for the real top dog to show itself. I tribute Magical Hound and Chain Dog." She said as both monsters mothing in a white light, "To summon Mechanical Hound!" She said as the robotic guard dog was summoned, howling with a metallic screech, (2800 ATK / 1500 DEF). Zwei stood next to the robotic guard dog before glaring back at Pharaoh.

"I think that might be the strongest canine she has." Sienna commented, "Chazz will need a way to counter fast if he wants to win."

"That was my intention." Chazz said before drawing, then smirked at his results, "I summon Cat's Ear Tribe." He said a couple of small kittens in travel clothes were standing at attention, (200 ATK / 100 DEF). "Now, attack Magical Hound." He said with Ruby have a look of confusion, "Thanks to their effect, your monsters attack goes all the way down to 200." The Mechanical Hound was then encompassed in a black aura, (200 ATK / 1500 DEF). The kitties rushed and disassembled the robotic guard dog, but were too tired to do anything else. Both monsters left the field empty, but Chazz took a card of his hand, "I'll set this and end my turn."

"I bet I know what that card is." Blair commented before looking to at Ruby draw, "Is there any other way she can get past that cat?" She said before seeing Ruby smile.

"I summon Caninetaur in attack mode!" She said as a centaur-like hound was called onto the battlefield. (1500 ATK / 200 DEF).

"Hey, that's one of Yang's cards?" Jaden commented as Ruby nodded.

"And like her, this fighter is all about getting stronger." Ruby said before pointing, "Now attack!" She said before a card ejected from her deck, showing another Danger! Dogman! "Thanks to his effect, I can send this level seven beast warrior to the graveyard to gain 700 more attack points," Ruby said as the centaur hound's attack points grew, (1500 + 700 = 2200 ATK).

"Your math is a little off." Chazz said before revealing his trap card, "Quantum Cat returns once again." He said as the feline in the cage watched the charging centaur hound, (0 ATK / 2200 DEF). "Nothing will happen now."

"I don't think so." Ruby said as she took the one other card in her hand, "I play Demise of the Land." She played before her field spell slot open, and a card eject from her deck, "Since you special summoned a monster, I can play Sogen from my deck." She said as the area turned into a wide-open plan, causing Zwei to roll around on the ground, "No matter the land, if its wide and open, its paradise to a dog." Ruby said as Chazz gritted his teeth, "And like the other times, you made your Quantum Cat a dark beast. But on Sogen, all warrior and beast-warrior monsters gain 200 attack and defense points." Ruby said as Caninetaur gained another boost in power, (2200 + 200 = 2400 ATK). With just enough strength, he cut through the cage and into the cat. However, the feline dissipated into a fine green mist before leaving this field. "That ends my turn," Ruby said as her monster's attack points lost most of the boost, (2400 – 700 = 1700 ATK).

Chazz smirked, "I'll give you credit, you aren't half bad with a thrown together deck like this." He said before drawing.

"Right back at you," Ruby responded while Chazz examined his card. However, her gaze focused as she saw him grin.

"Now, let me show you a real field spell." Chazz said as the slot ejected, "I play Closed Forest!" He said as the plains disappeared. Zwei stopped his rolling as large branches erupted from the soil. They covered the entire perimeter with a wall of tree bark and twigs. Right behind Pharaoh, a massive yellow cat's eye opened in the forest, gazing with an unrivaled pressure. With Sogen gone Ruby watched as her monster attack points went back to normal, (1700 – 200 = 1500 ATK). "Now, meet the true ruler of the wild. I summon King Tiger Wanghu!" Chazz declared as part of the forest opened. Ruby only saw an armored tiger enter the field, its fangs salivating, and its vision fixated on the targets, (1700 ATK / 1400 DEF).

Sienna Khan smiled at this feline, "One of my other favorite cards." She said to herself.

"In the Closed Forest, only my beast's gain a boost in attack." Chazz said before hold out his duel disk, "100 for every monster in my graveyard. And right now, I have ten monsters!" He said as the King Tiger roar with a black aura, (1700 + 1000 = 2700 ATK).

"Wanghu, attack!" Chazz declared as Pharaoh purred, casing the King Tiger to pounce.

"I can still use Caninetaur's effect to reduce the damage," Ruby said as she sent to the grave another Danger! Dogman! The centaur hound glowed in a yellow aura, but it was not enough. (1500 + 700 = 2200 ATK). Wanghu bit through the sword and slashed Ruby's monster to bits, but Chazz back in the lead on life points.

Ruby: 900 – 500 = 400 Life Points

"She's in trouble now." Sienna commented, "Wanghu has the effect to destroy monster instantly that is 1400 attack or less."

"So, Ruby cannot take a weaker monster and power it up?" Jaden commented, "She needs a strong dog right out the gate."

"But Ruby already used all of her strongest cards." Blair pointed out, then turned to the headteacher of the Slifer Red dorm, "Can she still win?"

Sienna looked back to Ruby, who drew at the start of her turn, "A dog does not run when faced with a tough enemy. No matter what, they will fight to the bitter end." She said before noticing a smile on Ruby's face, causing Zwei to pant with joy, "However, that determination is what sometimes allows them to overcome stronger enemies."

"I summon Mecha-Dog Marron," Ruby said as a pale brown robotic canine formed on her side of the field, (1000 ATK / 1000 DEF).

"King Tiger Wanghu's effect activates, instantly destroy your monster with less than 1400 attack points," Chazz said before Wanghu pounced on Marron, ripping the robotic dog into scrap metal.

"That's what I needed to happen," Ruby said as Chazz had a look of confusion, "If Mecha-Dog Marron were to be destroyed by battle, we would both take 1000 points of damage." She said as the scrap metal hovered in the air in the center of the arena, "However if destroyed a different way, only my opponent takes the damage!" Ruby said while pointing at Chazz, who gasped.

"Arf!" Zwei barked before Pharaoh meowed in shock. The bits of scrap metal rocketed towards Chazz and the fat cat, ending this battle of the beasts.

Chazz: 700 – 1000 = 0 Life Points

As the smoke cleared, Chazz fell back to sit on the ground, sighing in his defeat, "Almost had them." He said before looking over to Pharaoh, who stared back at him in an unbroken gaze. The affluent Obelisk Blue then reached out his hand, petting the cat on the head. In hearing the feline purr, a small smile returned to Chazz's face.

"Not bad out there." Jaden said as he stood next to Chazz, "But, you know the saying." He said while offering his right hand, "Every dog has their day." The spirited Slifer Red said a smile, causing Chazz to scoff. However, a small smile formed on the affluent Obelisk Blue's face before accepting the help to stand up.

"Meow." Pharaoh purred, causing two to look over the other side of the field.

Ruby was jumping with joy, "Yea!" She cheered before picking up her corgi, "Zwei, you get to stay!" She said with twirling with the canine at high speed.

"Arf!" Zwei barked with a lovable smile.

Ruby then stopped her spinning as Sienna and Blair walked over, "Way to go, Ruby." Blair congratulated.

"Winning with that kind restriction on the cards you can use is impressive." Sienna complemented with Ruby smiling, "Now, regarding your dog. You do know that he cannot be kept all day in your room while you are in class, right?"

"Oh," Ruby said in worry, "I forgot about." She then looked down at Zwei, "I don't want him to be lonely most of the time he's here …or to go to the bathroom when I can't let him out."

Suddenly, a new voice was heard, "Don't worry about him," Ruby turned to see a sweet lady with brown hair braided into a side ponytail. She wore small glasses and hoop earrings. Her light pink color shirt had a red ribbon tire and her skirt had straps that reached over her shoulders, "I can look after the little fella."

"Arf!" Zwei barked as he jumped out of Ruby's hands and into the sweet lady's chest.

"Wow, thanks Ms. Dorothy!" Ruby responded as she saw Zwei nuzzling with his new caretaker, "He already seems to like you a lot."

"All animals seem to like me. Whenever you're free, you can come by the card shop to see the little guy." Ms. Dorothy responded as she held Zwei in her arms, "I also watch Pharaoh from time to time, so those two will be seeing each other a lot." She said as the fat cat walked by, but turned his head towards the corgi. The two beasts locked in an eternal gaze, each radiating a powerful aura. While one side had won this battle, the war between them had only just begone. "I think they'll be best friends." Ms. Dorothy said with Ruby having an uneasy giggle.

AN: There you go, Zwei has arrived. Before that, we get to see the class that Sienna teaches, which is one I would have taken if I were still in school. I really liked writing her in this chapter and making her into a cool person, (Also, while I still plan to have Blake afraid of dogs, Sienna is the type of person I see who is not afraid of any animal). Ruby and Chazz was a match I wanted to do for a while, and I thought this was a cool gimmick to mix things up. One of my favorite decks in GX was Chazz's low attack deck because it is so fun to watch how he wins with those gimmicky cards. Looking up all the cat and dog cards I could use gave me a lot of restrictions, but I was surprised the duel came out as close as it did. Ruby pulled out the win with a lucky draw, but her skill in the match is not to be ignored. Also, due to their name ruining the punctuation, I do not think I will use anymore Danger! Cards in this series. Dorothy shows up at the end, but since Ruby has been here over a year, this introduction was not their real first meeting. That was why I was very casual here. Pharaoh must respect the new top pet of the island, but their rivalry has only just begone. Next chapter, things will a little different as well. Rather than a normal duel, you will be seeing some of our students attempting a duel puzzle. Honestly, I am surprised GX did not have more of these in its series, but 5Ds has a few episodes with them. That is all for now, thanks for reading, and hope to see you in the next chapter.

Now, time for an answer a few questions. If I could make a Gate Guardian retain, I want the ultimate wall. I think it would have to be a link monster like what they did with Five Headed Dragon. It would a link three with needing a water, thunder, and wind monster as material needed. However, the link arrows point up at the opponent, with the effect that monster this card points can only attack this Gate Guardian, cannot change battle position nor activate their effects. With the same stats as the original, you have made a strong beat stick to more than half of your opponent's monster. For protection, you have the pieces in the graveyard have the effect to remove themselves to make this Gate Guardian unaffected by all card effects for the turn. Each piece has this as a once per duel, but this means you have three times to make him unstoppable. They would be level seven, so the support is already there and gives you options with Lucky Straight. It means I could not include him in this series, but I would build a deck around this Gate Guardian if it was real, (You could have floating to the OG with ignored summon conditions, but that's not needed). Favorite Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist is Yugi/Atem. Both made my childhood great and were a joy to see back in the movie a few years ago. Conversely, on the RWBY side and its main four, I like Ruby a lot more after finishing the official manga series. That is my favorite version of her character, even more than the original's. My idea for a custom weapon in the RWBY series would be a shovel/shotgun. It would normally look like a utility shovel, but the body is the barrel of a shotgun. The end of the barrel is near the face of the shovel, so in a certain motion, you could shoot and scoop the slugs to change the spread. To get around the range, the face can shoot off with a chain attacked to the rest of the shove. This can pull them to you, or you to them for a close-range blast, (Doom: Eternal does something similar with the Super Shotgun and Hook combo). The name, The Grave Filler, because you have dug your own grave fighting someone with this weapon. I just think that would be cool. Regarding Sora's card names, I prefer Des-Toy, but Frightfur is all not bad. The reason for the Sora and Neo verse the Paradox Brother, I like those characters and wanted to write them in a duel together. For what I liked about GX, the school setting was fun, despite its ridiculous premise. I thought it would have been a cool to teach kids watching the show on how to play the card game. Similar thing with Rwby, I liked the school setting the most and wanted to watch them grow in that context as opposed to what happens later. Those are all the questions for now, I will try to answer more in the next chapter.
