"My lord?" Leon pulled my attention back to the meeting about taxes. Arthur refocused with difficulty but replied.

"With the taxes raised again this year I fear a revolt, I will need to consult with our master of finances at length at a later date. For now dismissed."

Chairs scraped and caps billowed, I waited for everyone else to leave before heading to Gaius's chambers to check on Merlin.

As I walked in I was greeted by said servant, with a kiss. I stood still, completely shocked and horrified by what was happening for the second time that day. Thankfully Gaius pulled Merlin off me quickly.

"You're highness, my apologies. I had just finished dressing his wounds and he slipped by me." I cleared my throat "ut hm, right. Do we know what happened?"

Merlin had been hurt when we were ambushed by bandits. When he returned he had walked into the throne room muddy from head to toe with no explanation. Walked right up to me and kissed me, not exactly how I envisioned the start of my day.

"It would seem, sire, that he has been placed under the filmora charm. It allows the caster to control the mind of the victim. They have no will of their own but instead will stop at nothing to complete the task given to them by the caster."

As Gaius said this he secured Merlin hands to the table with rope to insure no more accidents. Merlin didn't protest, just watched Arthur as he paced around the room.

Morgans point of view

I smiled to myself, unable to keep my eyes from glancing over at where I knew the filmora was covered on the shelf. The image of Arthur's face when Merlin kissed him over and over again made me burst out into laughter for what must have been the millionth time that day.

Whipping tears out of my eyes I decided to finish the magic encyclopedia later and pulled out the scrying crystal morgus had gifted me when she first found out about my seeing abilities.

"Diegol cnytte, gewitte me yst, aliese hine, to Camelot he cymþ."

It was a risk to use this spell but only a small one, magic being intentional mostly. I willed the crystal to show my Merlin and after a second the crystal cleared to the best sight I had seen since moving to this hoval.

Arthur is frozen in shock by Merlin kissing him as he enters the physicians chambers.

The sight wavered as I tried to hold back laughter. I could have sent Merlin to be an assassin but knowing his incompetence I didn't bother. If anyone was going to kill Arthur it was going to be me. This was the next best thing.

The image completely vanished when I lost the fight to my laughter, I put the Crystal away and went about making a plan to use this to my advantage.
