Chapter Six: Katsuki's POV
'You know I could still make it to a hotel or something, kero.'
'For the last fucking time, you staying here is fine, Froggy.'
Fucking famous last words, I guess.
Katsuki was going to end up in hell. Yup, he was fucking going to die and go to hell. Not a single fucking doubt about it, and it was all his parents' fault. He needed to cut ties with those people although he was certain the damage was already done.
As much as he would rather avoid it like the plague, his nosy old hag could not be stopped and every once in a while, she would show up at his place. During her last visit, his bathroom door fell victim to her bullshit.
Un-fuck-him-fortunately, while navigating having a female friend over, whom he was definitely attracted to and maybe even started to have conflicted feelings about all the while trying to fake date, he completely forgot to mention the fact that if Tsu wanted the bathroom door to stay shut, she needed to lock it or do it from the outside.
So, when the ash-blond noticed she forgot her clothes in his bedroom, he reasonably didn't want to take any chances and went to toss them by the door for her to put on to minimize the possibility of him getting a fucking boner by seeing her in a towel and making things even more awkward than they already were.
They've been through enough of that with him fucking flirting with her during the photo shoot, seeing firsthand her family situation, and almost kissing in the car. Again?!
Fucking hell, when does it all stop?! He asked himself mostly frustrated that it kept on happening than by the actual events. If those really bothered him, he always had a choice to shoot them down.
Either way, since he would prefer for their sleepover to go on without a hitch, Katsuki went to bring Tsuyu her clothes.
But of course, of-fucking-course because he was probably cursed at birth or some shit, the fucking bathroom door was open. A fact, he only realized a second too late because the moment he took the corner to the bathroom he heard her.
Kero
A shiver rushed through his body from his ears directly into his dick like lightning and left a hot trail all over him in its wake.
The…fuck?
Then he heard it again, and again. The sounds were weak like whispers, but the undertone was indistinguishable. They were needy almost desperate, and so fucking erotic that it was impossible to ignore them or mistake them for anything else than a woman pleasuring herself.
As quickly as Katsuki could, he slammed his back into the wall close to the door and shut his eyes.
Fuck me!
When he heard another moany kero he almost let out an honest to gods groan over the absurdity of his life and his own arousal.
The fainted sounds of limbs moving with the water and the incriminating sounds of Tsuyu's pleasure made it fucking obvious what she was doing in there even if he couldn't see her.
The fact brought zero comfort to Katsuki, who did his very best to keep his eyes closed and let out a single filled with infinite frustration all the while desperately trying to mentally push down his erection.
Tsu…why?! Why are you doing this to me?
There he was, the fucking Number One Hero, Dynamight, standing in his hallway in the late hours listening to his good friend masturbating. If that wasn't bad on its own, the fact that he was getting turned on so badly, he feared he would come in his pants like some pathetic teenager definitely was.
Fuck…how is this possible?!
It was crazy. It was bullshit. Yet, the ash-blond couldn't deny that he felt more aroused in that very moment listening to Tsuyu and knowing she was inside his rarely if ever used tub doing this to herself than he felt when he was in bed about to have sex with women.
His mouth went dry when he heard her let out a little bit louder sound.
He didn't have a problem or anything, but it was a while since he last felt any thrill or any real excitement with those women. With time all those encounters became mundane and all the same. They wanted the bad boy foul-mouthed hero to take them hard and fast while they would pretend that they weren't into that shit, and it even offended them. It felt like a script for a movie he didn't sign up for.
Still, remaining pressed against the wall listening, Katsuki tried to reason with himself. It was just the forbidden shit. He and Tsuyu were friends. Good friends. They had a fucking agreement that could potentially ruin both their careers if it was discovered. They could not fucking be together or fool around like that unless they wanted to threaten everything they achieved so far. So of course, his bored mind painted her as his object of desire. Simple as that. It was fucking psychological or something. His therapist would describe it better.
Maybe he should call that fuck and schedule another meeting since he was busy to do so ever since the whole shitshow with him becoming the Number One Hero.
Another one of Tsuyu's moans echoed from the bathroom, and his stupid dick twitched like he felt her call for it.
It's just sex, he reasoned with himself all the while reaching to put his hand against the back of his neck and wipe some of the sweat that started to pile there.
Everyone would be aroused if they had a hot as hell woman like Asui Tsuyu in their tub getting off, he tried to assure himself all of a sudden imaging that photo of her in the swimsuit.
He swallowed and opened his mouth to hurriedly lick his lips. His mouth felt like a desert desperate for some rain.
Everyone would fucking think about joining her. Everyone would imagine her wet naked body and how they would gladly replace her fingers with their own….or tongue-oh…
For some reason, the idea that she could be doing that to herself with her tongue instead of her fingers completely took over him like a spell.
Katsuki could envision it all clearly.
He would push himself off this wall, and walk those three steps into his bathroom.
He wound find her there, in his tub wet and soapy looking at him with those alluring black eyes partly closed.
His body grew even hotter at the fantasy alone.
Another moan filled his ears.
He wouldn't bother to strip, not there, because this wasn't about him.
Perhaps, today would finally be the day, he would force her face to react. He would be a liar if he couldn't admit to himself the idea made him even hornier.
Fuck!
Her dark eyes would widen, he was sure of it, but soon they would just look inviting and pleading.
Baku-chan, please, she would beg quietly in that cute way of hers that seemed to have gotten under his skin every damn time.
He would look.
Fuck.
He was already tempted by what he would see, so he would definitely look. Later, when they would have more time, he would even fucking touch her everywhere making sure to map her body like a newfound land, but for now, he would simply look.
His fingers would reach and lightly stroke her belly making sure they were warm, but not sweating to cause her any harm before he would reach between her legs, between her folds and-fuck!
The intensity and vividness of the idea that his tongue would move between Tsuyu's legs caused the ash-blond to push one of his fists against his mouth and bite hard enough to break the skin solely so he wouldn't moan himself.
Fucking pathetic, he thought while feeling like he might as well come in his pants just by listening to Tsuyu, and his vivid imagination alone.
He would be the biggest liar in the world if he couldn't admit to himself that it was the hottest fantasy he had in a while. Which was saying something since he was already turned on by so many incidents with Tsuyu it was fucking unreal.
'Fuck me sideways,' he whispered before he could stop himself, and opened his eyes just as he heard her let out that soft satisfied kero and settle down.
She finished.
She fucking came in his fucking tub with him less than three meters away.
If I wanted to, I would fucking get you off better than that, Tsu, Katsuki thought before he slowly moved toward the bathroom making sure to keep his eyes averted.
He heard a small splash, and then absolute silence. He hoped it meant she dived into her favorite environment.
When no other sound was made for a while, the ash-blond tossed her PJs into the bathroom careless if he hit anything or not.
He snatched the handle and shut the door properly and then a second later bolted refusing to spend there a minute longer worried about what he might have done if he did since he was still painfully and annoying hard.
Seriously, Froggy, you want to kill me?!
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
The rest of the night went by in mostly PG incidents, but the ash-blond couldn't stop himself from occasionally drifting back to how soft and needy her moans and croaks were. Whenever he did, he needed a moment to compose himself and think about unsexy shit like Deku, the Hero Association, the poor excuse for food Shitty Hair tried to cook for him once, his parents and etc.
It didn't help that throughout their movie night whenever he looked at Tsuyu, she was just so fucking sweet and cute making him feel like a fucked-up pervert and shitty friend for these thoughts.
She's the one who got off in your bathtub, he tried to reason with himself before once again catching the soft look on her face and rolling his eyes, Yeah, but you know you would never hold it against her, you wuss.
True, so fucking and pathetically true, he shouldn't even be annoyed by it, but like hell he wasn't.
Somehow, he survived the night, and even if he made the mistake of carrying Tsuyu's body to his bed and spanking her (seriously, what the fuck was wrong with him?!) neither of them said anything.
He simply tossed her ass on his bed refusing to deal with her bullshit a second longer all the while feeling like a fucking moron and left.
Now, why even after all his firmly set boundaries and reasonable choices and decisions made to protect Tsuyu from his stupid horny male brain, he ended up waking up in a bed with her, Katsuki would never fucking understand.
It's because you're soft for her….well, most of you are, he mentally groaned.
All he knew was that when she came to him dropping all her forced cuteness and said she felt lonely, he couldn't force himself to turn her away. He just fucking couldn't, not with the way she said it, all serious and desperate reaching the knife in his chest and twisting it until the pain turned to agony.
Lonely
The word left a bad taste in his mouth even if Tsuyu was the one who said it. Maybe precisely because she was the one who said it.
Katsuki didn't really understand it. He used to feel lonely at times. Everyone fucking did. But he couldn't help but wonder if all those times he wasn't just bored or experienced a light version of the word, compared to what he got to feel lately.
Despite everything he did, gave up on, and worked for to be here, to be the Number One, to have a killer view that dominated the city, the ash-blond found himself feeling this way so often he wondered if he shouldn't like seek help or some shit.
It's just a bullshit phase, he always convinced himself in the end when he closed the curtains and ended up in absolute darkness. But lately, it started to be even worse when he did so.
It shouldn't be a big deal. Everyone got lonely at times. Life changed. He was the Number One Hero for crying out loud. Most of his friends were married or engaged and shit. He didn't have time to hang out as often as before with them. One-night stands didn't thrill him anymore. Things just happened.
However, whatever, the fuck it was, didn't matter at the moment.
At the moment, he just fucking refused to allow Tsuyu, on top of all the shit she went through that day, to feel weighted down by the haunting feeling too.
Fucking not today, he told himself before he reached for her hand and linked their fingers swallowing down whatever tender bullshit feelings were threatening to get out as they laid side by side in his bed.
Shit, he thought as her soft skin seemed all the more softer in the dark when his senses were alerted.
He should have dropped her ass at Deku's. He shouldn't have taken her from her shitty parent's home. He shouldn't have rushed to her sister's apartment like a madman after she told him repeatedly, she was alright.
But even if he knew everything he should have done, he knew he fucking wouldn't.
And because of all those things, he should have done, but didn't, like an idiot that he was when Tsuyu's dark eyes and cute smile were involved, Bakugou Katsuki went to bed with her.
'Tsuyu,' he said with a husky sleep voice even before he opened his eyes. Katsuki has been a morning person since he was younger. He trained his body to go to bed early and wake up early in order to perform his daily training if he wasn't following his work schedule.
So, alarm clock or not the hero knew when he woke up that it was morning even if his blinds still made the room look pretty dark.
And just like he knew that it was morning without having to check, he knew he was lying next to Tsuyu. He was being practically suffocated with that bizarre yet delicious smell of hers that took over his senses every damn time he was near her.
'Don't. Fucking. Do. That!'
Being able to hear her melodic cute as fuck giggle like the first sound in the morning all the while his eyes were still closed brought a sense of tenderness into his being that the easily angry ash-blond was not used to.
Katsuki tried not to allow that shit get to him too much even if somehow, he knew it was pointless, the fucking vixen and her cuteness were under his skin like an illness he couldn't shake, 'It's creepy as fuck, Tsu.'
'What?' she asked puzzled but in a very good mood. Seriously, was a good night's sleep all it took for this woman to get back to her positive self? He sure fucking hoped so because even if he liked distracting her and tolerated being the positive one for once, he wasn't sure he could make it a habit, or wanted to for that reason.
Maybe for her though.
'Watching me sleep, dummy,' he said and opened his red eyes to finally look at her.
Fuck me, he thought desperately while his eyes widened when he found her on her side with her chest pressed against his arm. He already knew she was close and watching him even before he opened his eyes. His profession pushed him to be aware of everything even when he only had a second to regain consciousness after getting knocked out.
However, seeing it – her- with his own eyes was proving to be too much if his loose sleeping pants had anything to say about it.
Shit, how is she so fucking pretty this early in the morning? He asked himself or the higher power, he didn't know, but he knew that even with traces of sleep visible in the corners of her dark eyes, her silky hair scattered across his pillow and bed with that fucking cute smile of her, she looked so good, he was tempted to toss her on her back and ravish her until she would moan and croak just as sweetly as she did last night.
Kero…, the breathy sound was still freshly imprinted into his mind.
His cock twitched at the thought, and Katsuki frowned upset with his body for becoming so weak to this woman, 'Your famous pillow wall didn't do shit.'
Tsuyu beamed at him, and fuck-mercy! it was too much for the ash-blond who immediately started to maneuver himself away from her body and the bed.
'Wait, Katsu-,' he was out in the hallway before she finished her first sentence.
He couldn't risk, Tsuyu catching the large tent that formed inside his pants. He needed to calm the fuck down.
Of course, that was easier said than done because the moment Katsuki came into his bathroom his red eyes fell on his tub.
Curse you, you, stupid tub, he thought feeling even worse than before because now he could imagine what Tsuyu looked up freshly woken up, and the sounds of her orgasms.
The ash-blond stripped and went to take a shower stopping only for a second to make sure his door was locked and then another to eye the hygiene bottles, Tsuyu left on the tub. When he came to use the bathroom and brush his teeth, he tried to find a label with a description to finally figure out what was that smell that Tsuyu always carried on her that he was so desperately trying to guess. Maybe if he knew what it was, it wouldn't torment him so much.
But of course, Tsuyu must have been using expensive or homemade shit because none of the bottles had a single label on them. They all smelled wonderful like the woman herself did though, but Katsuki still had no clue what they were.
Groaning tempted to toss them aside or blow them up out of sheer spite he set the bottles back feeling even more frustrated than before. Especially, when the lingering scent of whatever caused Tsuyu to always smell so good remained in his senses.
The coldness of the water became pointless and before he knew it, Katsuki reached for his cock seconds into the shock from the temperature hit.
He just didn't fucking care anymore.
Growing up with a dangerous quirk like his, getting off used to be a fucking hassle, but even so, when he really needed to, he managed. He wasn't going to pretend he wasn't aroused by the opposite sex, but he would like to think he was better in control.
Not today though.
Katsu-chan, he could hear her sweet voice almost like she was in the room with him the moment he touched his skin.
His cock jerked into his palm already hard and ready, and he dragged the heel of his palm over his tip.
Katsuki, she sounded so sweet and real like she was right there behind him pressing her body against his back just like she had against his front during the photo shoot.
He speeded up the movement over his member, and the thrills of heat and arousal ran from the tip of his dick to his entire body as he imagined her behind him moving her lips against his ear, Katsuki, would you rub jelly on me?
He groaned and pressed the side of his face against the wall while the water slid down his back creating a phantom touch of Tsuyu's palms and lips, Please, Katsu-chan.
He knew himself well.
He knew how hard to hold himself, how fast to move his hand.
Katsuki pressed the side of his head further against the wall, bracing himself on his shoulder, then used his other hand to gently cup his balls and roll them in his palm.
Katsuki, she sounded so sweet, she always fucking sounded so sweet, she might as well have given him cavities with that sweet voice of hers even when she was speaking to someone like him.
His temperature spiked again, and his lips parted with a soft gasp he could feel but not hear. The water drowned out most of what noise was left to him, but he didn't care. It was warm, it was comfort.
Baku-chan, he shivered almost feeling her long tongue lick behind his ear.
His hand moved faster, his eyes squeezed shut, and just before his orgasm lifted and crested, Tsuyu's image flashed behind his eyelids. She took his face in her palms and pulled him toward her.
She might have sounded sweet and was nice, but she was no pushover and could take the lead if she wanted to just find.
He could still recall the feeling of her lips, the taste of her mouth, the heaviness and warmth of her strong tongue against his, having experienced it all just two days ago.
He felt her breath against his face while looking at her halfway-closed eyes, Katsuki.
It felt too real and too much all of a sudden.
Katsuki came with a muffled cry rippling along his throat as his cum painted the wall of his shower.
Startled by the experience and magnitude he took a step back at what he had done.
Fuck, he thought, but the aftermath of his release left him too spent and oddly peaceful. Before, he used to avoid coming to the vision of anyone else. He had carefully trained himself to enjoy the sensation—refusing to let his mind be occupied with another body, mainly because he considered this just a means to an end of his pent-up sexual frustration.
However, he would be lying if he said this was the first time, he ended with his mind slipping to Tsuyu in some way. This was, however, the first time, he allowed himself to openly fantasize about her throughout the whole thing. It was also the first time; he didn't feel bad about it. Not really, and not one bit.
He shifted his forehead against the wall breathing in the smell of cum and hot steam from the shower, 'Fuck, Tsuyu, what are you doing to me?'
He was glad, she wasn't really there with him to answer.
Groaning at his own idiocy and weakness, he turned the shower off and got out.
There was a plan. Sort of. They didn't really agree to a timeframe and logistics, but they both knew Tsuyu wouldn't stick around for more than a night or two. Max.
He didn't mind her there. Katsuki preferred to have things done and placed his own way, so living with others was always a challenge, he never had the patience for.
However, Tsuyu was good at minding her business and sticking to his rules. She didn't move his shit around, was clean, and balanced the art of light conversation and peaceful silence like a pro. Still, Katsuki knew she couldn't stay with him. If his little adventure in the shower was anything to go by, having Tsuyu around 24/7 was a risk, the ash-blond was not willing to take. He already felt like they pushed some imaginary line yesterday with him meeting her family and her sleeping in his bed. Not to mention what she did in his tub. It was just too fucking much.
She has to go, he thought later in the morning as they ate the breakfast they prepared together.
But based on their internet feeds, her building still had paparazzi, fans, and media camping outside, and her car was at her sister's place, not to mention she had a shift today, and he needed to go deal with his publicist.
She has to go.
He sighed to himself, and Tsuyu asked him curiously, 'Everything alright?'
The ash-blond glanced at her. She was sitting opposite him at the second bar stool, which was only ever used by his old had if she came for tea, looking at him with those dark eyes hiding all her thoughts, and yet being an open book at the same time.
'How much more until your shift?' he asked her sounding harsher than he intended to. He wasn't planning to make her feel unwelcome, and it wasn't her fault he was a fucking pervert who fantasized about her wet, naked-never mind!
'I start a little before lunch, but I want to go meet up with Tsukauchi-san,' she said and took a sip of her tea while Katsuki wondered why the name sounded familiar feeling frustrated for some reason, 'Who's that?' he barked, and Tsuyu gave him a look meaning that she must have immediately sensed his growing bad mood.
She blinked before she answered setting her cup down, 'He's All Might's friend and a detective. Izu-chan sent me his phone number. I thought about what we talked about yesterday, and I agree that the police might be faster to get footage from the coffee shop, kero.'
The ash-blond relaxed a bit refusing to acknowledge, why would he care who Tsuyu met up with or not. She met a lot of people every day, just as he did.
He looked away and continued to eat, 'Finish up and let me know when you're ready. I'll take you.'
'Ah, you don't have to. I can have someone else or take a train-'
'Quit being so difficult, Froggy,' he said and smirked before looking up at her, 'That's my job.'
Tsuyu offered him a smile and putting as much sugar as she fucking could into her words said, 'True. Alright, thank you for your infinite kindness, all mighty Number One Hero, Baku-chan.'
'Brat,' he shot back at her, but he couldn't push the corner of his mouth down.
They finished the breakfast in a much better mood, but Katsuki still knew especially when she leaned too close to him, and he caught the smell of the products she used for bath, that she had to go.
Their meeting with the detective took longer, than they anticipated, so the ash-blond just drove Tsuyu directly to her agency, 'Call me when you're done.'
It wasn't a big deal. He had the spare time today, and trying to get to her sister's place to get her car would just waste too much time and make Tsuyu arrive late.
The sea-green-haired woman turned to him just as a couple of agency employees not so subtly tried to steal a peek into his car.
His hands fisted against his steering wheel, but Tsuyu whispered, 'Baku-chan, relax, kero,' before her lips touched his cheek. The pressure was light as a bird's feature, but it still sparked something in Katsuki's body as it caused heat to travel from the spot to the rest of him.
She needs to go, he thought again, and grunted, 'Whatever.'
Yet, the moment Tsuyu was standing outside ready to close his door, he couldn't help, but call out like a pathetic middle schooler with a secret crush, 'Stay safe.'
The smile she offered him was so fucking bright he needed to put on sunglasses, but he still found it worth it.
'Fuck me,' he sighed to himself before he started the car again once he was sure she wouldn't magically hear him. Still, he felt somewhat relieved that despite yesterday, Tsuyu seemed to be in a much better mood and acted more like herself.
She has to go.
Pushing Tsuyu and what happened in his apartment to the side, Katsuki tried to focus on a much more serious issue. During the photo shoot, someone went through Tsuyu's bag and put a tracking device inside it. A tracking device that was introduced to the Hero Association two months ago, but not yet to the public. Yesterday, the culprit used the tracker in a small coffee shop to leak Tsuyu's address on the internet and forced her out of her home forever since she wouldn't be able to continue to live there with everyone including villains aware of it. Then, the culprit attempted to leak the address of Tsuyu's younger sister too, but the B-lister, the hero, he hired managed to block the attempt.
Katsuki felt his palms sweat just from thinking of it all.
Fucking bastard, he thought recalling how devastated Tsuyu looked and felt. Even if he couldn't see it from her never-changing facial expression, Katsuki could read it from her body language and trembling voice, and he fucking hated every second of it.
Whoever, the fucker turned out to be, Katsuki would kill that bitch. Seriously, Number One Hero or not he would make them regret ever looking Tsuyu's way for yesterday alone.
Hiding behind a keyboard and tracking device, he thought so enraged his dark aura was forcing people out of his way as he walked to his agency, You're gonna beg for mercy, you fucking bastard, but I won't give you any!
He didn't bother shaking the anger off him when he arrived at his publicist's door.
Katsuki planned on full-on barging in not because he usually had done so, but also because he was so fueled by his anger.
His steps came to a halt when he noticed one of the assistants sitting opposite the publicist feverishly explaining something while using her hands.
Probably the Hero Association Gala, crossed Katsuki's mind as the event was fast approaching, and surely his agency as well as Tsuyu's would want it to go without a hitch.
Unsure why, Katsuki remained standing by the partly opened door watching the exchange without revealing his position before the woman abruptly stood up knocking the chair to the ground.
What the-?
Katsuki frowned wondering what was going on but before he could do anything about it, the assistant turned around and briskly walked out of the office.
Once she was faced with Katsuki her eyes widened, and for a moment, the ash-blond was certain he saw panic behind her eyes.
His frown deepened and his anger morphed into suspicion, 'What's going on here?'
She was the assistant, who passed on the note that then disappeared and outed his and Tsuyu's relationship as well as the one who was present at the photoshoot.
'Ah, Bakugou-san, right on time,' called his publicist, and the assistant although still looking shaken politely bowed and rushed away.
Something crept at the back of Katsuki's neck as he watched her leave and then turned to his publicist.
'As you know, I wanted to discuss-'
'Oi, old man, do we have a problem?' he asked without a beating around the bush and then looked directly into the man's eyes. Up until a couple of weeks ago, Katsuki never had a problem with the man. He might have been a wimp, but he was a hard worker, and no matter how confident the ash-blond was, he knew a lot of what got him to the Number Two Hero was thanks to him. However, he couldn't turn a blind eye to what was happening ever since he became a Number One Hero. He needed to know once and for all if he could trust his people and agency or not.
'Well?' he asked making sure to appear as intimidating as he could although he knew how much it scared the publicist.
'B-bakugou-san, I don't know what you mean, I-'
'Cut the crap. What were you doing at the end of the photoshoot? You came back after it was over,' said the ash-blond watching how the man started to sweat.
'I-I don't know…no wait. I was talking with the man who came from the Hero Association, I was trying to thank him for all they were doing for you and Asui-san. I had a phone call, but the photographer forbade anyone from using phones during the photo shoot, so I went to take it outside?' he touched his chin looking very much like he was trying to remember, 'Well, in the hallway. Asui-san's agency called and wanted to know how it was going. I'm…I'm truly sorry I wasn't around at the end, Bakugou-san, but I wasn't sure if the call wouldn't be something important.'
The ash-blond crossed his arms, 'What about the whole thing with Tsuyu's address being leaked? Do you know something about it?'
The man feverishly shook his head and palms looking very much scared and devasted, 'Nothing, I swear. I feel so horrible about what happened to Asui-san. Uh…I already worked out a statement about how we don't tolerate such behavior and people should respect the privacy of their heroes…uh, I'll help any way, I can. Please tell me what to do, Bakugou-san.'
Katsuki watched the man trying to analyze everything he could about him in that moment. If he didn't know him, he would surely think he was just some weak and scared civilian. Logically, there wasn't anything Katsuki knew for sure just a nagging feeling, but maybe he was just being like this because it was Tsuyu who was involved, and his publicist wasn't to blame.
He suddenly got an idea and looked directly into the man's eyes, 'Oi, old man.'
His publicist sat straighter, 'Y-yes, Bakugou-san.'
'We might have some leads tomorrow. Tsuyu went to the police about this.'
The publicist quickly nodded, not for a second looking anything but a warmhearted caring old man whom Katsuki hired a few years ago, and who helped him the most to get from his forever Number Eight to Number Two where he remained until recently, 'Very good. They will surely have more excess than we would into the issue. If there is anything they need from us, we'll be happy to assist them in any way we can.'
Katsuki felt relief. As much as he bitched about the man being a weakling, he reminded him too damn much of his father, and he would hate if he found out he trusted him only for the guy to turn up to be some saboteur. Besides, what fucking reason would he have?
'Thanks,' mumbled the ash-blond and then finally came to sit down, 'You wanted to talk to me about the gala?'
The man beamed, 'Ah yes, very much so, Bakugo-san. I'll keep it short since I know how busy you are.'
The ash-blond listened to the man, but very quickly he started to drift away.
His sense of relief was short-lived because of it wasn't his publicist who was behind everything then who?
Little over eight hours later, Katsuki found himself waiting for Asui Tsuyu to come out of her agency. Her shift had to end about fifteen minutes ago based on the private hero database update he checked. He knew she took quick showers since she preferred baths and didn't really waste time around the agency unless she had some paperwork to finish, but she already confirmed she would finish it at his place so he wouldn't wait too long for her.
He didn't have to wait for her like this at all honestly.
But he managed to work out, finish some of his paperwork, discuss the gala with everyone who needed it, schedule some interviews and a commercial, and even suffer through a phone call with Deku about Saturday.
Fuck my life, thought the ash-blond annoyed and ruffled his hair a bit. He wished he had a shift because patrolling and blowing villains up at least got him to think about something else and not die out of boredom.
Not to mention. The last thing he wanted or needed was to play pretend with Tsuyu in front of Izuku's cute little family and Eijiro and his soon-to-be fiancée. Why did everyone suddenly want to see him and Tsuyu like they were some animals in a zoo or newly adopted puppies for crying out loud?
He never needed to see any of the partners of his friends or family, and he would happily skip their weddings and parties too if he could. He often did so anyway. It made him feel the same way the photo shoot did. Like everyone would fucking stare and analyze them and shit and conclude he wasn't being all boyfriend-y whatever that even fucking meant.
Fuck, he thought after he brushed his face imaging every bullshit Ochako would surely throw at them for some reason. He could only hope she would offer some mercy to her best friend. But he wasn't dumb or naïve enough to think he would get off the hook himself.
He looked up only to find Tsuyu walking toward him which did little to soften his nerves. He was planning to go and open the door for her feeling too jumpy for a moment, however, once she got close his red eyes widened, 'The actual fuck?!'
Katsuki asked almost rushing out of the car, but the sea-green-haired heroine was faster and already inside by the time he undid his seat belt, 'It's fine.'
'It's huge,' he argued annoyed and concerned.
Before she could stop him or he could think about what he was doing, Katsuki took hold of Tsuyu's face glaring daggers at the hideous bruise that covered one of her temples.
It looked nasty and fresh, and given the fact that she looked perfect when she kissed him goodbye earlier, it had to happen during her shift.
'Fuck, Tsuyu,' he commented turning her head inside his hands inspecting the bruise from every angle like a medical professional because he couldn't seem to stop glaring at it with absolute panic and hatred.
Tsuyu smiled and closed her eyes looking both relaxed and tired at the same time, 'No need to be so worried, kero.'
'You're lucky, I'm not chasing after the fucker-'
'Such a gentleman, Katsu-chan,' she giggled and sighed, 'It looks worse than it fills.'
'Good because it would really hurt if it felt as bad as it looks,' he said and then turned her face so he could stare at her eyes feeling something he couldn't describe. He was pissed at the bruise. Obviously. He didn't like to see Tsuyu bruised or beaten up although it was their fucking job. He also felt relieved because bruised meant not dead and that it would heal soon. Lastly, he felt a bit aroused because the idea that Tsuyu kicked ass at work made her even more attractive than Katsuki already thought she was and that was saying something given how attractive he found her.
Fuck-She has to go.
'Villain?' he asked clearly his throat hoping her talking would distract him a bit.
Tsuyu's dark eyes opened, and her lips curled into a grimace, 'Actually a civilian.'
'What?' asked Katsuki raising his brows, and she sighed, 'A kid.'
'Seriously?! What the fuck, Tsuyu?'
The sea-green-haired woman chuckled before she explained, 'I was saving him, and he panicked. His quirk activated, and it was like I hit a rocky cliff with my face.'
'No shit,' said Katsuki and gently brushed her face a couple of times all the while frowning at the nasty bruise like it was his new nemesis.
A fucking kid thought Katsuki bitterly.
'Do you have a concussion?'
She shook her head, 'My agency's nurse checked me out.'
'A nurse? Fuck, what kind of amateurs run that place?' he demanded and finally let go of her face in order to start the car.
'Baku-chan-'
'My agency!' he said and started the car, then turned to her and pointed at her seat belt, 'A certified doctor!'
Tsuyu snatched it and with a click put it on as he finished, 'Not one word of protest from you!'
She's not staying, he thought weaker than ever all the while making sure she had her seatbelt on and wasn't feeling dizzy during the ride.
They arrived at his agency. The doctor there checked her up again and cleared her even giving her something for her bruise which the nurse didn't bother with.
'Seriously, how did you survive with useless amateurs like that?' demanded Katsuki as went to take her to her place for more clothes and stuff.
'It's just a bruise, kero,' Tsuyu told him calmly as ever before she activated her camouflage and left his car.
Back at his place, Katsuki couldn't for the love of everything that was somewhat dear to him force himself to argue with her about the couch again with that bruise in sight, so they prepared dinner together and chatted.
'Ah, I want to help you.'
'I fucking dare you to pick up that washcloth,' he pointed a finger at her when she tried to sneak into the kitchen after he specifically instructed her to go lay down a bit.
'Baku-chaaan,' she protested, 'I'm not even dizzy, and the bruise doesn't hurt anymore.'
'Don't bother, you're lucky, I let you help me cook,' he said and got to work shooting her a glare when like a smartass she attempted to snuck up on him and get closer to his sink.
'Meanie,' she commented and showed him the tip of her tongue in childish fashion causing him to glare at her even if it was just for the show, 'Relax a bit. Jeez.'
She sat down at the bar stool that seemed to belong to her now, not that Katsuki was complaining, and watched him work. He would prefer if she genuinely went to rest, but he supposed this would be the best he would get with his stubborn little Froggy.
He glanced at her carefully assessing her, 'Does it really not hurt?'
Her dark eyes met his and even before her lips pulled into a small, embarrassed smile, the ash-blond got his answer, 'Maybe a little bit, but only if I move too fast, and it's much better.'
Katsuki narrowed his eyes at the bruise. The kid was lucky he wasn't there, or he would definitely teach him a lesson with a mild headbutt.
Once he finished with the dishes, he made Tsuyu some tea, he knew his old man drank when he got headaches, 'It's supposedly helpful.'
The sea-green-haired heroine gave him a brilliant smile and took it, 'Thank you, Katsu-chan.'
She nursed the cup between her palms for a bit while still smiling, 'You're a really nice person.'
'This again?' he asked sounding annoyed, but he would be a liar if he didn't admit it felt fucking good to have her constantly praise him like that. He was fed up with how often the media and people painted him out to be some sort of asshole with a short fuse who was more a villain than a hero. Hell, he had a big mouth and yelled a lot, but he wasn't just that for crying out loud.
Because of those assumptions that tended to get under his skin, it felt fucking good to have someone like Tsuyu, who constantly saw the best in him and offered him a compliment and praise on his behavior and character rather than looks and quirk. If someone like her thought he was a good person, he fucking had to be. She might have been a sweetheart, but like hell, she let her compassion overshadow her honesty.
'No, I mean it. You're a very good person,' she blew at the tea to cool it down, 'I had boyfriends who never really helped with the dishes or other chores, and here you are doing everything yourself and refusing to let me help. Believe it or not, it's admirable, and I really appreciate it. You're very kind.'
Katsuki frowned upon hearing that. Here and there Tsuyu dropped comments about her past relationships, but based on how unbothered she seemed about the breakups, Katsuki believed her whenever she said they weren't anything serious.
'Fucking for real?' he asked, 'What kind of losers did you go out with?'
Her pale cheeks turned a bit red, and she sounded properly embarrassed when she admitted, 'Probably big ones. I never really had time to invest in relationships, so I mostly settled for people I liked without diving into what kind of people they were and if we matched. That's on me. But usually, the relationships ended far too soon for it to even end up a problem.'
Katsuki thought about that and crossed his arms, 'I get that. I was so ultra-focused on becoming Number One, I've never really even been on a proper date.'
Tsuyu blinked, 'Really?'
He shrugged his shoulders, 'The closest was hanging out with you when we celebrated my promotion.'
He partly said it to see how would she react, but to his surprise, she gave him an adoring smile, 'Really? I was your first real date?' She pressed her finger against her lower lip still smiling, 'Not gonna lie, that's sweet, kero.'
He chuckled and raised his eyebrows, 'It wasn't a real date, dummy.'
'Well, technically, it ended with a kiss, so I would call it a somewhat real date,' she argued, and honestly, Katsuki agreed, but he couldn't let her have it, 'Either way, I feel double sorry for those pathetic losers you dated though.'
'How come?' she asked and blinked as he got up and went to the hallway, 'They now have to live with the fact that they lost a woman who's the girlfriend of the Number One Hero. They will forever regret not putting more effort into keeping you.'
Tsuyu's giggled following him all the way to his bedroom.
She can't stay, can she?
Afterward, they spent some time on their own, and Katsuki could hear Tsuyu making some calls to her sister about her car although he wasn't sure what she was saying, and then Ochako which he wished he didn't know what was about.
When she came to find him, he could tell from her posture, it was about the bullshit hangover, 'Fuck my life.'
Tsuyu giggled, 'It won't be that bad, kero.'
He gave her a look mentally telling her not to get on his nerves before he patted a spot next to him on the bed, 'Get your ass here, Froggy. We need to work this shit out.'
She blinked, 'Really, Katsuki? But it's not even night yet. The neighbors might hear.'
He grinned, 'You would like if they heard, wouldn't you?'
That seemed to have gotten under her skin because she looked away. She was smiling, but she couldn't hide the fact that he managed to embarrass her a bit. Even if it shouldn't matter one bit, Katsuki tugged that little information into the back of his mind wondering what else he would find out about her.
She looked back at him, 'I don't think Ocha-chan will appreciate it if we cancel last minute though, so you might have to suck it up for a few hours?'
He sighed allowing her to change the topic.
'You're right. She'll probably hunt my ass down and blame me somehow,' groaned Katsuki distasteful at the idea that a pregnant Uravity would come look for him no doubt with Deku as her support and their cute brat as a distraction, 'Fuck that.'
He watched her come closer regardless before he said, 'I was actually wondering if we shouldn't prepare for that dinner or something.'
Her smile brightened, 'Like a school quiz?'
'Yeah,' he nodded, 'Without a doubt, those assholes will pour questions on us from the moment we will enter that house of horrors, so it would be better if we prepared up front at least a little bit. Media might back off, with me being a private asshole, those vultures won't.'
She chuckled, 'You mean to our friends.'
'Your friends,' he barked somewhat pleased she decided to sit next to him with her back against the wall like he had it, and their elbows and knees touching, 'So what should we discuss to properly convince our friends we're a happy new couple?'
'I don't know. We agreed to shit like we started to engage after that crappy interview,' he then looked away hoping he wasn't blushing or looking too awkward or some shit although he had a feeling that ship has long sing sailed.
He could see out of the corner of his eyes that Tsuyu looked ahead too, he half expected her to carry the conversation on, but instead she asked, 'If I was your first real date? What about the blind ones your mother set up for you?'
He shot her a look, 'Are you serious right now? What question would someone have to ask for that to come out?!'
The ash-blond was certain she would just giggle or admit she didn't know, but instead, she made her voice sound lower and spoke in a damn good Deku impression, 'Tsu-chan, did you know Bakugou-san used to set up Kacchan on blind dates before you got together?'
'Fuck, that was scary, Tsu,' he said and brushed his arms like he was cold properly acting like it, 'Please, never do that in my bed again. I won't be able to fall asleep.'
'Among other things.'
'Fuck! The ghost of Deku's Kacchan will haunt my sex life.'
Tsuyu tossed her head back and full-on laughed for a moment before she shoved him, 'Now come on, Katsu-chan. I want to know.'
He watched her for a good solid minute before he sighed, 'Fine. You stubbornass woman.'
He rolled his eyes, 'They weren't dates. She would invite me somewhere with a bullshit excuse or use my old man since I was suspicious of her and oh, look, extra-chan is here, say hello, brat-,' he was sure, he nailed his old hag's voice and based on how hard Tsuyu started to laugh again and hold onto her side he definitely did, 'Some were star-struck long enough for me to run and others looked just as embarrassed as I was about being in the situation. I more or less stopped answering my old hag's calls after that because fuck that shit. I sat through two, but they didn't count since my old hag was chaperoning.'
The sea-green-haired woman looked so amused and happy at that moment Katsuki didn't have it in him to feel too annoyed about the whole ordeal.
He smirked, 'So that's why like it or not you're my first sort of real date.'
'I'm glad,' she said and put her hands together, 'Maybe that's what we can say though? We started to talk and met up after our shared interview and our first date was when we got photographed. That way it would be less like we're lying if they ask.'
'What happened to we'll just keep the details fuzzy and shit?'
Tsuyu grimaced, 'I might have been underestimating how hormonal Ocha-chan can get. I also might have been avoiding her a bit just so I wouldn't have to dissect it too much.'
Katsuki frowned, 'Well, details aren't so important. I won't say anything and leave you to do the talking.'
'Makes sense. It's best you stay in character of your brooding glaring self.'
'Die,' he said but his smirk and amusement were an easy giveaway, 'Besides, Cheeks fangirling will be nothing compared to Deku's detective Conan shit.'
Tsuyu brought her legs to her chest, 'Really, how come?'
'Deku and I go a long way back,' said Katsuki and frowned recalling some of his complicated past with the green-haired man, 'Friends or rivals. I don't think there is anyone in the world who can read me or know me better than him. If we really want to sell this thing, we need to convince him. And that will be hard because he'll see everything.' Even if it wasn't combat-related Katsuki knew Izuku strength lay in how well he could assess a situation with minimum time, especially if he was familiar with the situation or opponent, and as much as it annoyed him there wasn't anyone Izuku paid more attention to than Katsuki when it came to fighting.
'Damn Nerd, he will probably sniff out our act the moment we walk to the door,' thought the ash-blond frustrated that the former Number One Hero had to be such a fucking fanboy of his.
Tsuyu put her index finger against her lip and thought about his words for a moment, 'I think it will be fine. Believe it or not, we managed to convince quite a few people up until now. We just need to act like ourselves, and well…,' she looked away and he caught the faded pink that started to cover her face again.
Darn cute, Tsu.
'Even if we didn't want to, we always found a way to sell it, so it should be fine,' she finally said and offered him a smile, 'To be honest, I think none of our friends expect all that much from us. Simply coming together, sitting beside each other and maybe a small kiss or hand-holding will be almost too much for them.'
'You're oddly unconvincing yet confident at the same time, Froggy,' said Katsuki and grimaced, but he did find some fucking wisdom in her words. It wasn't like Deku and the others needed to see their message chain or pictures as proof although-
Katsuki picked up his phone and quickly unlocked it before Tsuyu could notice his wallpaper. He should probably tell her about it soon, but not tonight.
'Hey, come here for a second,' he said and motioned for her to slide closer to him.
She did so without protest, and so Katsuki turned on the camera and pointed at the other side of her face directly at the nasty bruise which might looked better, but still looked pretty awful.
He took a picture of them which was when Tsuyu realized what he was doing and laughed so he took another one.
'Jerk,' she said and shoved him her tongue. He did the same and took another photo.
Before he put his phone away, carefully, so his wallpaper wasn't visible, 'In case those fuckers get a hold of my phone.'
Tsuyu nodded, 'Clever, but could we do some later without my bruise please, kero?'
'Sure,' he agreed and then started to talk again in that comfortable way. Even if they should have discussed their fake agreement, they ended up talking about their days and other bullshit. Every now and then one would mention something interesting, and they would start talking about it or explain it and the conversation would shift more often than not ending in both of them laughing or just feeling content making Katsuki almost wish he did sleepovers more as a brat.
Almost.
The conversations ran into the night, which might have been against the Number One Hero routine, but only because he had a solid plan to wait until Tsuyu fell asleep and then snuck into the living room to take the couch.
Take that, you stubborn cute Froggy, he thought while looking at her. Like hell, he was letting her sleep on the couch looking like a fucking victim of domestic violence. If he saw a woman with a bruise like that on the street he would demand to know where the fucker who did that lived so he could personally return his favor.
'Hm? What's with that face, Baku-chan?' asked Tsuyu at one point, and the ash-blond quickly looked away cursing himself for almost giving his plan away.
It was just too fucking easy to fall into this content state with the sea-green-haired woman and her soft smile and cute voice. The atmosphere was so friendly and comfortable that he could almost forget about what she did last night in his tub and what he did in his shower with her wet body-NO-FUCK!
Almost.
Then, he had zero clue what happened.
Seriously, none.
One moment he was fucking telling Tsuyu something about his old middle school followers while resting his eyes for a second. And the next he was met with dark and faded lights coming from behind his large windows that weren't covered by the curtains this time.
What the fuck?
Katsuki blinked groggily but was still awake enough to sense Tsuyu beside him.
He tilted his head ever so slightly to be able to see her, and right there in the dark next to him she was resting with her head against his arm partly hiding her face.
He blinked again and followed the rest of her body as far as he could in his laying position noticing her hand was holding his although the grip must have loosened up with sleep.
Even half asleep something inside him melted and came alive at the idea that she took hold of his hand before falling asleep too.
Fucking Froggy, he thought with a sigh before brushing his face.
You shouldn't even allow her to stay another night let alone share your bed, you absolute sap, Katsuki cursed himself annoyed with the tone of his own thoughts.
She's injured and homeless for the moment, he reasoned with himself like a fucking lunatic before his own inner voice softened, I don't mind her here. It's nice to have her here.
He blamed his sleepy mind for being such a sap and rather looked for the covers on the ground.
Easily, he snatched them with his spare hand and tossed them over their bodies slightly patting them around them as much as he could without moving his other side and arm too much.
Whatever, he tried to assure himself breathing in Tsuyu's wonderful intoxicating smell and focusing on PG 13 mellow thoughts and no bullshit.
As he did so, the woman next to him stirred a bit and a soft whispery hum vibrated against his skin where she was pressed against his arm.
Katsuki glanced at her again, 'Nothing.'
She hummed again sounding asleep, but lovely and fucking gutted him into the heart when her adorable face nuzzled against his arm.
Katsuki sucked in a deep breath before he clumsily, since he wasn't properly alerted, stroked her hair a couple and the side of her face still trying to be gentle and not apply too much pressure on the bruise, 'Sleep, Tsuyu. I'll keep you safe.'
The woman pressed her face even firmer against his skin and he could make out the touch of her nose and lips clearly before she hummed, 'Okay-kero.'
She sounded too fucking adorable, and the ash-blond would blame it on his delusional and sleepy brain later, but in the next moment he turned toward her snatched the back of her head, and planted a small kiss against her silky hair, 'Good night.'
Tsuyu didn't say anything or even move, and not long afterward, the Number One Hero was out like a candlelight unsure if it wasn't just a dream.
When Katsuki opened his eyes again, it was morning. Even without checking his phone, he knew it was late for a proper workout but still early enough for his shift to start.
This time he found himself alone, but based on the very fresh smell of Tsuyu, he was certain, she was there not so long ago.
He got out of bed thankful, he didn't have to stress too hard about his morning wood this time.
Small fucking blessings.
In the hallway, on his way to the bedroom, he was stopped by the smell of breakfast which she must have been making.
He brushed the back of his neck trying to recall the last time someone made breakfast for him. By now, he got used to him and Tsuyu preparing food together. It was actually efficient and great to have someone else to work with. Especially someone who knew how to prepare teriyaki without fucking stabbing himself. But it hit infinitely different to know Tsuyu was making something on her own for him. For the two of them.
He was just unclear if that difference was a good kind or not.
Once Katsuki deemed himself looking somewhat acceptable and felt less likely to scare Tsuyu with his bodily reactions toward her, he finally came to the kitchen.
'Good morning, Katsu-chan,' she greeted him already drinking tea and with a plate ready for him.
She had that pretty smile across her lips and looked really comfortable too, 'I made the same as yesterday since I could tell you liked it, kero.'
'That's fine,' he said and sat down.
After the first bite and honestly confirming what he knew before, 'It's good.'
She thanked him with a calm expression and warm smile. Katsuki knew it would be good. Tsuyu was a great cook, and it was a breakfast, he liked to eat in the morning. Again, they ate in a mixture of comfortable silence and occasional light chat.
It felt nice. Oddly, Katsuki had no problem getting used to Tsuyu's company during meals despite eating alone for years now.
It's nice, he thought and found himself almost smiling before he caught himself. But not even he could stop the warm feeling inside his chest from spreading.
Really nice.
He continued to eat and checked out her bruise, 'It's getting smaller.'
'And better,' she said looking so proud he chuckled, 'For real this time?'
'Yes, for real this time, kero,' she mimicked his tone up until the croak which got him to laugh some more.
However, her next words properly killed his happy and content mood.
'My sister will come pick me up later,' she said, and something stabbed Katsuki through the chest between the ribs hard enough that he yelled, 'To get more of your shit?! Good!'
He quickly lowered his eyes and stared at his plate feeling his face catching on fire, 'I'm starting to think you're lacking in the women's department or something? I had…one-night stands trying to bring more crap over than you did.'
The fuck am I doing? Also, what the fuck am I saying?!
She needs to go!
Tsuyu was quiet for a moment, and Katsuki closed his eyes feeling like an idiot expecting her to tell him she was leaving, and with good reason because this wasn't her place, she couldn't stay anymore, they couldn't share a bed anymore because they weren't really dating.
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
Just fucking do it already!
'Uh, well, actually to bring me my car. She doesn't want to stay with my parents any longer,' admitted Tsuyu and then added, 'By the way, my parents would like to meet you for dinner again sometime. They seemed to want to make a better impression.'
'Hard pass,' he said dryly and raised his head to find her smiling again, 'Don't be childish kero.'
'Fine,' he sighed and sat more properly still feeling a bit stiff over what he said wondering if they would not ignore it completely.
This wasn't her home, he reminded himself, Stop making a fucking idiot out of yourself!
'Look you-'
'But don't worry, I think I need to meet your mom first. She already called me a few times and texted about the dress for the gala.'
Katsuki frowned shivering at the idea that his old hag was talking with Tsuyu behind his back no doubt about him, 'Shit, she's giving you a hard time? Trying to get you to leave me, isn't she?'
She put her finger against her lower lip, 'She did ask me a few times, what I see in you, but she wasn't implying you blackmailed me or forced me or anything like that so I think it well rather well.'
'Fucking old hag!' cursed Katsuki and shoved more food into his mouth annoyed over his life-giver's attitude. Not that he blamed her. He read quite a few comments about how the sweet hero Froggy had to be blackmailed or bullied into a relationship with someone with such a short fuse as the Number One Hero.
Bored fuckers with nothing better to do! What did they know?!
'Anyway, she told me to come to her office to get measurements and discuss what I would like,' she said and looked properly pleased especially when she glanced at the table, 'I usually just wear what my agency or people doing a photo shot pick up. Sometimes what I can find myself if I have the time, so to have your mom make something specifically for me, is really a lovely experience for me, Katsuki.'
Something ached in Katsuki's heart upon hearing that. Even more so when she looked directly at him and gave him that grateful smile that made him want to smile back at her as well as punch every fucker who never delivered such nice things for her to make her grateful.
Didn't even wash the dishes? Where did Tsuyu find assholes like that?
'Thank you for asking her for me, kero.'
Feeling too self-aware, all the ash-blond could do was nod, 'Make sure she doesn't push you into anything you don't want. I know it goes against your sweet pacifist nature but yell back at her. She likes it.'
Tsuyu grinned at him, and he smiled back at her.
'Well, I don't think I will have to raise my voice one bit. She's being really generous and sweet.'
'To you maybe,' he said automatically, but there was little heat in the statement as he felt a lot of gratitude that his old hag managed to make Tsuyu this happy.
They finished breakfast, and Katsuki did his best not to allow the fact that Tsuyu might be gone when he would come back perhaps moving with her sister or Ochako or anywhere else, to show on his face too much. He could have asked. It would surely been better than to guess what her next move us, but he found himself incapable of doing so. For some reason, Katsuki couldn't help but feel that if she did confirm his fears and say she was leaving, he would somehow feel worse than he was now.
This is bullshit, he thought sensing her coming to send him off as he put his shoes on.
She shouldn't be here in the first place, but, fuck it, he didn't want her to go.
What the fuck is wrong with me?!
He knew why he was acting like this. It was all her fault really.
Asui Tsuyu was too damn nice and comfortable to be around. Her presence and company were welcoming and fuckKatsuki felt less lonely with her around. More than that, he wasn't lonely one bit since she showed up. It was barely two days and here he was acting like he was living with her for years and would never see her again.
Seriously, I turned into a fucking pathetic wuss and simp or something.
And worse of all, or best, the Number One Hero couldn't even tell anymore, she wasn't annoying. Not one bit. Not even her stupid stubbornness regarding letting him sleep on the couch. It made him want to yell and argue with her, snatch her, spank her, and toss her on his bed all over again, but not once did he want her to leave him alone.
How the fuck did you do that, Froggy?
None of that mattered though. She was a grown-ass woman, and if she wanted to leave, he had no right to try and stop her, and he fucking wouldn't. She was his…person, and he respected and cared for her too damn much to do anything she didn't want to.
Just didn't respect her enough not to jerk off to her in the shower,he thought bitterly at his weakness grateful no one would ever know.
'Oh, and here,' she said and passed him a neatly tied bento.
It took Katsuki pathetically long to realize why was she holding his old bento box in her palms, and frankly, it wasn't until her pretty mouth parted and she finally said, 'I made this for you. I hope that's alright.'
Katsuki was left speechless for an ass long time soaking her words and the moment in.
I made this for you.
He cleared his throat, 'Uh.'
I made this for you.
He tried to speak, but he didn't think his voice sounded right, 'Thanks.'
I made this for you.
His hand took the bento from her.
I made this for you.
'Thoughtful,' he added like a moron with brain damage.
'You're welcome,' said Tsuyu smiling at him, and fuck it if it didn't remind him of some old-ass TV show where the husband went to work, and the housewife stayed and walked him out.
'Have a nice day,' she even added, and the ash-blond reached out before he could stop himself.
Her eyes momentarily widened which caused him to realize what he was doing and stop mid-way and point at her face, 'You-you better apply that balsam on that bruise. Damn it!'
Tsuyu's hand reached and almost touched her temple, and Katsuki survived a heart attack realizing he was about to touch her or kiss her?!
What the fuck?!
GET IT TOGETHER!
She glanced back at him with a calmness that seemed to contradict his internal panic so much, Katsuki was tempted to scream, bow down and just fucking as her to stay.
Please, don't go. Please, stay here. In my apartment. In my bed. In my space.
Please, don't leave me, Tsu.
Finally feeling like he wouldn't be able to survive another moment in Tsuyu's presence feeling like this he reached for the door, 'You too.'
He paused with his hand on the handle, 'I'll see you.'
With that, he walked out feeling so shitty he almost blew the bento up although he would never forgive himself if he did that to something Tsuyu made for him.
I made this for you.
Please, stay.
Pathetic. You're so pathetic.
He shouldn't have let her stay in the first place.
Beating up a villain helped Katsuki for a bit not to dwell on what happened that morning. The sickness inside his stomach was somewhat contained but just barely when he was blowing up an asshole's face after he tried to steal money from a poor old owner of a flower shop downtown.
He didn't fucking care if he could have gone lighter at the man. He was pissed.
'Please, take this,' said the old hag trying to hand him a bouquet.
'No.'
'As a token of my gratitude.'
'I said I don't want it.'
'For your lady.'
'Bouquets are overrated,' he said before his eyes fell on a pot plant behind her. Suddenly, Tsuyu's tiny cozy apartment appeared inside his mind, and he once again felt like punching something. Before thinking better of it.
Tsuyu had a much of those lying around. She obviously likes pot plants.
Katsuki had no reason for those, so he didn't have any, but if he really wanted to, he could find them a place in his hallway. It was rather empty.
The old hag he almost forgot about followed his gaze before she picked up the plant he was looking at and handed it to him.
'Once a week, half a cup, a little more during the summer,' she said and walked back to the shop leaving the Number One Hero to finish his patrol with a fucking pot plant at his side.
Fan-fucking-tastic!
During his lunch break, he opened the bento box as carefully as possible hoping Denki who appeared out of nowhere to join him wouldn't notice it was made by someone else. He didn't have anything to be ashamed of. For all the blond knew, he and Tsuyu were dating, but it still felt fucking personal to have anyone see it when he was about to for the first time.
'Oh, from Tsu-chan?' asked the overly eager blond and almost snatched the small note that fucking adorable Froggy left for him inside.
'Touch it, and you're dead!' Katsuki warned the other hero before shoving the small note between his first aid supplies to read later.
'Man, it's so pretty and smells great,' praised Denki before sighing and looking sad, 'My wife can't really cook too well. She tries, but it's not the best.'
Katsuki glanced at the other man. A lot of his ex-classmates were in serious relationships and some even married, but he will never be fucking shocked that Kaminari Denki was one of them.
'Why don't you cook then?' asked Katsuki taking a bit and barely suppressing a moan. The food was delicious, but he would never expect anything less from Asui Tsuyu's cooking.
Denki grimaced eating his own food and brushed the back of his head, 'Honestly, I'm worse.'
'Then you should learn together. Everyone worth of shit got good by practice. You were a shitty hero when you started. Now you're decent.'
'So mean, Bakugou,' said Denki eyeing his food, 'Maybe cooking lessons wouldn't be a bad idea. Tsu-chan was always a good cook even back in school, right? You're lucky she loves you enough to cook every day for you.'
His words made the ash-blond uncomfortable for some reason, but he managed to hold himself back somewhat, 'Oi! What kind of bullshit are you suggesting?! We cook together! What kind of asshole would leave all the cooking on his woman?! Fucking grow up already!'
'Hey, don't go putting words into my mouth!' argued back Denki but less violently, 'I just meant it's nice. Jeez.'
The rest of his shift went somewhat well since he managed to kick some more ass, but once he was on his way home, Katsuki couldn't help but checked his phone every few minutes like a loser waiting for his crush to reply.
He hoped for a text or a missed call stating that Tsuyu still hadn't found a place the stay and asking if she could play his housemate for a bit.
Since when did I become such a fucking wishful thinker, hm? He asked himself without any enthusiasm only then pulling the small note Tsuyu left in his bento. He didn't want to read it in front of Denki, and he felt too stressed to do so at the agency.
He was tempted to leave it for home, but on the tiny ridiculous chance that Tsuyu did come back into his apartment, he wanted to know what she had written to him.
Eat well – stay safe.
Tsu-chan
Of course, it wouldn't be a note from the sea-green-haired woman if it didn't have a tiny frog sketch at the bottom.
'Silly Froggy,' he mumbled to himself realizing he was smiling before he neatly tugged the note into his wallet for safekeeping and then pulled out his phone.
If he could, he avoided engaging with his old hag since it was a guarantee of a fight, and almost exclusively, it was her who contacted him, and not the other way around, but for once Katsuki swallowed his pride and shot her a quick text.
Hey, make Tsuyu whatever dress she wants. The cost doesn't matter. I'll pay.
He sent and after a second to spare quickly texted, Don't tell her…. Thanks.
Thankfully, his old hag must have been busy because she didn't bombard him with a million texts or calls, and he could get home in peace.
Katsuki stepped into his place immediately knowing someone was there as he spotted the female shoes that could only belong to Tsuyu based on their size and pattern. He had a spare card key he installed for her, a special code, and a handprint yesterday just in case she would stay longer. He never did that for anyone. Not even his parents had that sort of privilege unless something truly bad happened to him.
He swallowed barely undoing his outdoor shoes and putting his home shoes on.
Almost like he was sleepwalking Katsuki entered the kitchen following the sound of humming some Japanese pop singer that Tsuyu mentioned she liked and the ash-blond never heard off until he secretly played it in his office yesterday after she did.
There, in his modern and elegant and anything but cozy and friendly kitchen, he found her standing in front of his counter preparing dinner.
She was using his fish, but also rice, he knew he didn't have enough for two portions, but didn't bother to buy more on his way home because he was sure, more or less, she wouldn't be around for dinner tonight. Yet, now, it seemed she had more than enough rice and was even wearing her apron, the one that looked like a frog, and surely wasn't a part of the things she brought with herself two nights ago and yesterday which meant that Tsuyu went to get her car, to her sister's place, to her apartment and gods knew where the fuck else, and still came back with even more of her stuff into his apartment.
Katsuki was left frozen in place watching her.
Pretty…so pretty…
Asui Tsuyu in his kitchen humming so out of tune it hurt while wearing her ridiculous frog apron while making their dinner looked so fucking pretty, Bakugou Katsuki felt like he couldn't breathe for some reason in an absolutely horrifying and wonderful way.
Fuck…
Katsuki never had anyone waiting for him home to cook dinner like this. He never had anyone at his home make him breakfast or a fucking bento for work. He never had a serious relationship like that, and this, she, left him feeling too fucking much all at once.
Tsuyu probably sensed his presence because she stopped humming and turned to face him with a bright smile that burned a hole into his chest, 'Hi, Katsu-chan. Did you have a good shift?'
He didn't answer. He couldn't. He could only stare at her because despite how sure he was she would be gone, she was there, in his kitchen cooking dinner for them and wearing the clothes that she brought from the place planning to stay. Today, tonight, for a week, for a moment, for a year, forever? He didn't fucking care as long as she stayed. As long as when he was on his way from work or was alone at home, he knew one way or another she would be waiting for him or coming to him.
That would be perfect…that would be enough.
Just to know that sooner or later Tsuyu would be here with him.
'Katsuki?' she asked with an unmistakable concerned voice, and he realized she was looking at him this whole time. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he noted the bruise looked barely visible now.
He took a startled step back as reality came crashing down to him.
She was here. He wanted her here. And now he was freaking out about it.
'Y-you're here…I mean…Fuck Yeah!' he said cursing at himself and hoping, the sea-green-haired woman, who always seemed to understand him so well will do today too.
I want you here! Stay here! Please!
Tsuyu blinked, and he could feel her confusion and concern before she spoke, 'Well, yes, I dropped Satsu-chan at school, and then I drove to my place to pick up some clothing and other stuff.'
Good.
'I have a morning shift tomorrow, and then Saturday we're going to Izu-chan and Ocha-chan's place.'
We are.
'So it wouldn't hurt to have more things here, kero.'
Yes.
'Just because it's less ecological or economical to constantly drive there just to pick a few things-'
'Y-yeah,' agreed Katsuki feeling blood rushing into his ears while Tsuyu avoided his gaze and her cheeks turned adorably pink just the way he liked them the most, 'S-so yeah.'
The urge to fucking touch her was so strong he needed to leave asap, and before he knew what he was doing he quickly announced, 'Uh, I should change.'
'A-alright,' she said, but he didn't miss the slight disappointment in her voice. He should have said something else. He should have fucking say he was glad she was staying. She was welcome to stay, and she should stay for as long…for as long…for long…
Please stay. Please stay. Please stay. Please stay. Please stay. Please stay.
He went to the hallway and gripped a handful of his shirt over his clothes hoping to stop his rapidly beating heart that was definitely trying to escape his chest or something with how fast it was going.
He closed his eyes.
She's staying.
She shouldn't be.
But she is.
It's what you wanted, you dumb fuck.
So what the fuck are you doing?!
His eyes snapped open.
She left to get more clothes and things and came back. She's staying.
She wants to stay too.
He rushed back to the kitchen catching the brief moment of her being hunched over the counter looking obviously distressed before she jerked no doubt surprised, he came back so quickly.
'Stay here!' he yelled startling both of them.
Nailed it, you dumb fuck,he belittled himself feeling like he might be suffering from some schizophrenia or some shit with how much he cursed at himself recently.
With wide red eyes, he glanced away and covered a side of his face, 'Fuck, Tsu, just…stay, alright? Your apartment isn't safe anymore. It doesn't matter if the crowds are gone…It's not and will never be. Your sister has a roommate and a place the size of a shoebox,' he heard her silent giggle, 'Cheeks and Deku are already a crowd with one kid let alone another in the oven. Your parents need to work and prove themselves before I ever let you go see them alone after the crap, they pulled at you… Hotels are cheap and dangerous. And- and I rather have you here. We…make sense.'
His eyes widened at his own words, and he wondered if he should try and run again, but Tsuyu didn't let him, and suddenly like a pro-hero snatched his palm from his face.
The surprise caused him to glance down at her and find her looking at him with a calm smile on her face.
'Katsu-chan,' she said and if he could describe the way she sounded he would say, she sounded like absolute adoration, and he should know what it was because more often than not he found himself feeling just that about her, 'I'm staying.'
She could have added for now or something like that which would make their words less heavy, and this whole thing look less like a romantic movie or some shit, but Katsuki didn't want her to say a damn thing.
And on the off chance that she was planning to say anything else, he grabbed her arms and pulled her against his chest.
He didn't hug people often.
Fuck, he couldn't recall the last time he hugged anyone on his own or even touched anyone like this if it wasn't sexual, but in that moment, he gave it his all, and Bakugou Katsuki always delivered when he gave something his all.
Without a second to spare, he felt Tsuyu hug him back, and it felt just as good as it did the first time she put her arms around him after he came to her apartment for the first time, if not fucking better.
Definitely better.
The high difference allowed him to rest his chin on top of her head, and fuck him sideways if he didn't enjoy being able to cover her almost whole like this.
'You're so tiny. How the fuck do you even fight?'
He felt her knee raise against his tight and her sweet but muffled by his chest and clothing voice came a second later, 'I could show you.'
He laughed against her silky hair planting a quick kiss telling himself if he could get away with a hug, he could get away with a kiss too. She must have taken another bath because her hair was soaked in the wonderful smell that haunted him since she helped him through a panic attack all those weeks ago.
'Oh, I got you something,' he said, and feeling so fucking light and young, he took her hand and led her back to his corridor like he was a brat ago showing a friend something infinitely cool.
'You bought a house plant?' Tsuyu asked delightedly, and he smirked, 'Nah, an old hag gave it to me. She wanted a bouquet, but-'
'Bouquets are overrated. House plants are so much better,' she said and reached for it, 'It's so pretty.'
Katsuki didn't think the green leaves looked any different than they did on any other plant, but he would take her word for it.
'You should bring your plants over too,' he said before he would lose his nerve, 'You can't stay at your place anyway. And you won't have to stress about watering them.'
He then turned around and nodded in the direction of his bedroom, 'The hallways are pretty spacious and empty. We can put them there.'
Tsuyu watched him for a moment with that pretty smile that made Katsuki want to touch it…with his lips. It wasn't the first time he thought something like that. Fuck no. And it wasn't the first time, the thought didn't cause him to freak out. However, it was definitely the first time he welcomed the thought wondering how much longer it would take before he would act upon it too.
'I would like that,' said Tsuyu, and even if it wasn't possible Katsuki almost felt like she heard his thoughts.
