Interlude
Trish was tired. Her return to the Dioland estate was nearly as draining as the fight inside Yggdmillennia's castle and her private time with Elric; the flight back only made her desire for rest even more demanding.
Her father, Ned, expected a full debriefing but was willing to permit his illegitimate daughter some time to luxuriate and lounge around for the rest of the night since the day was near spent completely.
It was something the redhead was grateful for.
Without much pondering she instantly went to see her son, Allen, who was resting in his room. Sleeping peacefully like a little angel.
His resting visage brought a smile to her beautiful face; as it was one of the many joys she had come to find in her life back home.
There were many days she wished that her paramour was with them. Temporarily forgetting all the things Trish would probably do with him in private—in the bed—when Zed was not taking up his time with similar activities, she desperately wished for him to be more of a part of their child's life—had Ned not made decisions which made that so greatly difficult.
Despite being viewed as a femme fatale in his life by some of his associates—with the chance to cause him some distress (as she had back in Trifas)—Trish genuinely loved Elric beyond reason, almost obsessively.
He made her feel as if she mattered, just as she made him feel the same. Because of him life was bearable.
She was eager to recount everything about Elric to Zed and her brother, knowing anything involving him would brighten their day, but for now she wanted some rest of her own.
Resting her two 1911s on the floor, Trish dropped onto her bed. She thought about her conversation with Luvia—about the nature of things with her lover—and was just hoping she would not come to regret allowing him to do things his way and return to Clock Tower with his party.
After everything Lord Rheon did, Trish did not believe he had a right to have such control over Elric's life. She believed Lord Rheon and Lisa Thorn possessed even less of a right to still draw breath. The same being true of the bastard brother Somnus.
She wanted him back with her and the Dioland family once again, but now there were complications that would need to be adjusted for. Trish only hoped that when this matter was resolved completely that Elric could return to them in one piece and that he could reconcile with her stubborn father.
