Time To Answer The Reviews:
Guest: For the Shadow Rider arc, Chapter 27 will be the end, but Season 1 will be Chapter 30.
As soon as Jaden entered the abandoned dorm, he began walking slowly to follow Pharaoh to see where he was going. He looked towards all the walls around them, seeing how destroyed everything was and how hopeless it all looked like. Jaden breathed in, "It makes sense that all of this trouble started here 'cause of Sy and I's near expulsion so it can end it here. Right guys?"
He turned around to see…no one. He sighed. Of course. Why didn't see that coming? He had that coming since went alone and didn't wait for even one of them to enter with him, but he couldn't just let it slide. He was…no, is the only remaining Key Keeper and he has to defeat the Final Rider, whetever he is alone, or with a group.
Inside the abandoned dorm was quiet so he turned his eyes towards a window and saw the pillars of light, the ones he didn't see when he entered the room and could hear screaming outside. He sighed.
He needed to defeat the Shadow Rider and win this war so everyone could rest from this war. To him, it didn't seem like the first war he has ever been in.
It was strange to him. He placed hands on his face. He couldn't see right. For a second he could see himself as a King with golden like eyes that were as lifeless as a broken ruler with a monster with two heterochromic eyes on his side with his Heroes, his Elemental to his Evil Heroes, while on the other side he saw three powerful dragons on the other side by one single mistress.
He shook his head, those weren't true. Those were just images he had, but why did those come whenever after a big duel with someone?
He shook his head. It was just some images he was thinking of, nothing more and nothing less. It wasn't like he was a King of something, with a different name altogether. Why did those exist?
Was it one of those prophecies he kept hearing about, or was it some nightmare he kept having, like the same day he had his operation, thinking of a certain blue eyed silver haired boy that was with him as the only friend he ever had before going to Duel Academy helping him after the procedure, and his parents when they were watching the procedure.
His attention was then turned when he saw meows from a cat. He turned to the cat as he went down the stairs as he walked towards the puggy fat cat. He walked down the stairs and as soon as he saw the cat run, he began running as well, not wanting to lose the only thing that was close to Professor Banner because he was too slow to catch up to a cat. "Wait up!" he said.
Outside he could hear his friends shout, "Jaden, where are you?!"
"Get out of the dorm, you slacker!"
"Wait, he is in there!?"
"Is he insane?!"
"Doesn't he remember the last time he went there?!"
"He entered it before?!"
He ignored them as he kept running towards Pharaoh, the cat that wasn't seen in ages, or at all. He needs to get to him so he could find Banner, and if he could, get to the Shadow Rider and defeat him so he could save the world and Celina!
He ran and ran towards the fat cat, but the brown mammal was too fast for the brown hair boy because his eyes were on the cat. He failed to see a wall, so he landed face first in the wall, which resulted in him finding a hidden passageway inside the abandoned dorm.
He took out a flashlight from his backpack and took it. He activated it to see it as the same passageway as the others, but this time he could see something extremely secretive, a hidden door to a hidden room. He walked up to it and saw it as an old wooden dorm. He placed his hands on the door and felt how old it was.
He breathed in and out as he raised his leg upwards. Guess he has to learn something from his friends once again. He breathed in and out as he then kicked open the door with his leg. He touched his leg and feet to see if there was anything broken, but thankfully, everything was completely fine, hurt, but fine.
Jaden then entered the room and realized it was something similar to the one where he fought that actor to save Alexis, but this time it had some differences. For once it wasn't empty at all, it had metal boxes on top of each other, a computer on the side, maps, some stone tablets, the other reason why it was different was because of it felt like it was used less than an hour ago rather than what felt like years used due to how it wasn't dusty in the slightless.
The final reason why it was much different was because on the left side of the door where it was, there was a light switch. He walked towards it and flipped it open, as everything lightened up, literally.
"Okay, honestly. Pretty sweet. I mean it could use a fresh new paint job with a way to hide the boxes and after that, it could be used for- IS THAT A COFFIN?!" yelled in surprise Jaden as he turned his eye towards a coffin that was on the boxes. How he didn't see that was a complete mystery on his end.
He walked up to it and felt like it was used recently, meaning that the Shadow Rider used it nicely a couple of hours ago. He placed his hands on the top lid, and felt like it was made out of stone, which it was made out of stone.
He grunted, wishing that he didn't go alone with some help, mainly from Chumley, as he hated how tough it was to open. It felt like it weighed a million tons, but sooner or later, he opened the lid all alone which was impressive on its own.
He took a quick breather as he then looked at the coffin and his eyes widened as he took a step back. "No, no, no, it can't be!"
Inside the coffin was…
…
…Professor Banner.
His skin was all wrinkled up and all green like. His eyes were shut closed, which kinda wasn't a big change, his glasses were almost broken. But he did take notice of how it looked. The tie was much larger than before, his pants were a different colour, he didn't wear a jacket. He didn't even have a tag on his clothes. He also never had the black book in his hands.
"It looks so real, but there are so many differences that I can't keep count." said Jaden, trying his best not to sound shaky as he could feel his hands shaking just by looking at it, "It has to be a wax."
It can't be right. He knows that bodies are supposed to decompose after 3 weeks, but how does it stay normal like that?
"It has to be a fake." said Jaden as he took a step back.
"Wrong, Key Keeper!" the Final Rider yelled as Jaden turned towards the final Shadow Rider, "Whom you see now is the real Professor Banner, the one that has been defeated by the last of the Shadow Riders, me, Amneal." said Amneal as Jaden took a deep breath.
"So you are the one that has taken the soul out of Celina." he said with a glare.
"Yes I did, and if you want to give you her and Professor Banner's souls back, you have to defeat me in a Shadow Duel. Your soul for my soul." said Amneal as Jaden breathed in and out as he took out his deck as Amneal showed his book where the soul was to prove that he was being honest.
"Fine! I accept your rules! I will take you down for my friends!" yelled Jaden as he placed his deck inside of his duel disk as Amneal's duel disk appeared on him with his deck ready.
"Prepare yourself, Key Keeper!" yelled Amneal as he pulled down his cloak to reveal his white hair.
"Oh I have been prepared ever since Nightshroud took one step here! And now I will be the one to defeat you guys right here and right now! So you better get your game on!" yelled Jaden as they both looked at each other as they yelled at the same time, "DUEL!"
Amneal: 4000 lp
Jaden: 4000 lp
As then the duel between the Final Rider and the Final Keeper has begun.
Outside of the abandoned dorm
"Damn it!" yelled Chazz as he punched the door in front of him. He hated this with a passion, he hated not being able to help him. He doesn't want to admit it, but he truly cares for the slacker.
"Chazz, stop punching the door, already! You are going to break your hand!" said Bastion as the ravenette turned to him.
"How could I?! I just saw our last member go into the abandoned dorm and when he did, the door closed shut! And tell me how couldn't I react this way?!" yelled Chazz as Sheppard looked at him.
"I understand that you are troubled, Chazz, but we must have trust in Jaden. Even if he is all alone, I trust that he will be the one that will stop this war to an end." he said to his student.
"But Chancellor!" Crowler looked at Sheppard in shock, "I do respect your decision, are you sure this is wise to do so! I mean, Yusuke and Atticus vanished the last time they were there!"
"I can't believe I am saying this, but I agree with Crowler, Chancellor Sheppard." said Alexis, "I truly do trust Jaden, I truly do. Out of the former Key Keepers, he is one of the best, but that doesn't mean he should have gone all by himself!"
"I concur. Sure he may make miracles after miracles, but going into a fight against someone you don't even know their deck strategies is quite a bad thing to do." said Bastion as he crossed his arms.
"I just wished there was a way to help Jay out!" said Syrus as he panicked that Jaden has already lost, lord knows that the current state of the island wasn't bad enough.
Yusuke and Zane looked at each other as they silently made a plan together. Zane narrowed his eyes as Yusuke nodded, "I might have an idea." They all turned to the Emperor of Duel Academy as he took out a specific card from his deck. He showed it to everyone, revealing it to be his most trusted monster, Honest.
"A card?" asked Chumley as Chazz, one of the 5 people in the entire island that can talk to Duel Spirits, realized the idea.
"So you are sending Honest to go there and give some advice to the Slacker while he is dueling?" asked Chazz as the ones that didn't see Duel Spirits looked at him, confused on how he knew the idea so quickly.
Yusuke nodded with a smile, "Yes. Since he is the monster I trust the most, he should be the best one to give him advice and support while we are here." he said Honest appeared.
"I will help all of you as much as I can, Master Fujiwara." said Honest, nodding to his master.
They turned to him and then each other and nodded. "Well, this is the best solution we can make so why not?" asked Chazz as they all looked at him weirdly.
"You heard him, Honest. Go on and help him out." said Zane as Honest nodded.
"I will." the Light Fairy monster said as he went towards the abandoned dorm to the last remaining Key Keeper.
Back To The Duel
Turn 1.
Both the Shadow Rider and Key Keeper drew 5 cards. "I will start this duel!" said Amneal as he drew his card first. He took a card from his hand as he began explaining, "I will start by activating the Continuous Spell card, Soul Absorption!"
His Spell card appeared on his side of the field as he began explaining, "For every card that is banished, I gain 500 life points for each one. I will then activate the second Continuous Spell card, Chaos Distril!"
A massive red athanor appeared on his left as the Final Rider began explaining his Spell card's effect, "Any cards that would be sent to my graveyard are now banished!"
"How does that help you? Don't you want to have cards in your graveyard to do your plans?" asked Jaden as he tilted his head in confusion.
Amneal softly laughed, "You poor child. My deck is built around banishing cards, so these two cards are perfect for each other!" Jaden's eyes slightly widened when he heard that, "As I will now show you, I banish from my Extra Deck, ALL OF MY MONSTERS face down to special summon from my hand, Eater of Millions!"
"What?!" yelled in shock Jaden as he saw Amneal take out 15 cards from his Extra Deck, revealing them to be some Fusion monsters, and even some XYZ and Synchro monsters, which was the only thing he was grateful for Yuri as he gave them to him, as he threw them in his athanor.
From Chaos Distril appeared a small creature with a massive mouth with sharp teeth with a dragon-like nose. It had red hair that was around his head and his small tail. It had a dragon-like tail and under it was a small tail. It had gold like eyes. Its skin was light black, pink and brown. It was on all fours.
(Eater Of Millions: Level 1 - Dark Fiend - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
"My Eater Of Millions could only be summoned this way, and it gains 100 attack and defense points for every banished face down card." The Final Rider explained as it screeched in power.
Eater Of Millions: ? - 1500 attack/defense points
Jaden then remembered a massive detail of Amneal's cards. "Wait, you gain 500 life points for every banished card…and you banish 15 for that monster's summon…" Jaden brought his hand and then did the math with his fingers and he realized what happened, "...that means-"
"That's right! Due to Soul Absorbtion's effect, I gain 7500 LIFE POINTS!" Jaden took a step backwards as the Final Rider glew red for a while as his life points nearly tripled.
Amneal: 4000 - 11500 life points
Jaden: 4000 lp
"I haven't Normal Summoned yet, so I will now summon my D. D. Survivor!" on Amneal's field appeared a warrior with yellow hair with yellow eyes, wearing a beige cloak as he had a powerful armour. He glared at the Final Keeper.
(D. D. Survivor: Level 4 - Dark Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 200.)
Amneal took a card from his hand, "I will end my turn with a card face down." he said as a card was set vertically behind Eater of Millions and D. D. Survivor.
Banished Cards: 15 (A)
Turn 2. Jaden - 4000 lp - 5 cards
Jaden eyes the two monsters as he knew they had to have effects based around banishment, how could it not be? He can't be reckless, he has to end this duel as fast as he could manage. "Alrighty, my turn! I draw!" he yelled as he drew his card.
He placed the card in his hand, but before he could make a single move, Amneal striked, "Before you make a move, I activate my Trap! Time Seal!" chains appeared from the Trap and then went towards Jaden's duel disk.
"Woah!" he yelled in surprise.
"This card makes it so you can't conduct your Draw Phase next turn." explained Amneal, hoping this would end like his previous duel, but he would soon realize that wasn't the case. (LP: 11500 - 12000.)
"Okay, I can't draw, but that isn't a big deal, at least for now." he said as he took a card form his hand, "Since I now activate my Spell, Polymerization!" He took two cards from his hand as two figures appeared on the field, "I fuse from my hand Elemental Hero Avian and Clayman to create a new Hero!"
His hero covered in feathers and a hero made out of living clay appeared on the field as they were then sucked into a Red-Blue Spiral Vortex as Jaden began to chant his own way, "Here comes the Hero that unites the unique strength of all Heroes! Elemental Hero Grandmerge!"
From the vortex came out a hero that had Sparkman's suit with Bladedge's chest piece on him while wearing some of Burstinatrix's suit around his crotch, knees, head and around his helmet. His skin was that of Wildheart. It had Avian's feathers around his arm and legs. It had Bubbleman's blaster on his left arm while having a completely new blaster on his right that circled around his hand that was that of a Sparkblaster. It also had Winged Kuriboh's wings on the back of it. To say he was the living fusion of his favourite monsters would be an understatement.
(Elemental HERO Grandmerge: Fusion - Level 6 - Light Warrior - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)
Amneal took a deep look on the monster of the Final Keeper and nodded, "What an impressive monster you have." he said, a little proud that he had a monster like that in his arsenal.
"And he is going to be even more impressive since he gains attack and defense points for every monster's levels combined times 300!" yelled Jaden as he gripped his hand, "I counted 7 levels so his attack is now…
Grandmerge: 0 - 2100 attack/defense points
…2100!" yelled Jaden as he grinned, and with the effect of his monster when it destroys a monster is still a great effect that can help him out in this duel. "And now, go! Grandmerge attacks your Eater Of Millions with Elemental Unity!" he yelled as his Light Hero Fusion monster began running towards the Level 1 monster.
It raised its hand and it was covered in wind and earth from his Fusion Materials, but Amneal smirked, "Not so fast! Eater Of Millions' effect activates when it battles a monster! It banishes the attacking monster face down!" he yelled as the Fiend opened its mouth to reveal a black hole.
"No you don't! I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Effect Shut! It negates and destroys your Eater Of Millions since it activated its effect!" yelled the Slifer Red as a cage appeared over the monster and landed perfectly on it, destroying it.
"Due to Distill's effect, it is banished instead." said Amneal as he glew red for a little bit.
Amneal: 12000 - 12500 life points
Jaden: 4000 lp
"Well, if I don't first succeed, strike them again with your Elemental Heroes! Go Grandmerge! Attack D. D. Survivor with Elemental Unity!" yelled Jaden as his monster nodded and changed his direction towards the Dark Warrior monster.
The Hero monster raised its fist and with the power of wind and earth, striked and destroyed the Dark Warrior monster.
Amneal: 12500 - 12200 - 12700 life points
"It seems that you are only helping me defeat you since you only did make me gain 1000 life points, while I lost a mere 300." said Amneal as Jaden smirked.
"Really? Well I am sorry to tell you, but that is wrong! Since I now activate my Grandmerge's second effect! When it destroys a monster by battle, I can tribute it," his Light Hero disappeared while Jaden took out a card from his Extra Deck, "and I can special summon a Hero monster from my Extra Deck, ignoring its summoning conditions! So here comes the evolution of Flame Wingman! Shining Flare Wingman!" he yelled as he slammed the card on his duel disk.
A Hero with green skin with a shining armour that was as bright as the Sun appeared on the field with angelic wings and yellow lining on it. It landed near the final Keeper.
(Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman: Fusion - Level 8 - Light Warrior - Attack: 2500. Defense: 2100.)
"One of your strongest monsters." muttered Amneal as Jaden nodded.
"That's right and my monster has a sweet effect, he gains 300 attack points for every Hero in my graveyard, so come out! Hero Role Call!" he said as afterimages of Avian, Clayman and Grandmerge appeared around him with crossed arms. His Hero glew red for a little bit.
Shining Flare Wingman: 2500 - 3400 attack points
"This won't be enough for victory, but still, go! Attack with Solar Flare!" yelled Jaden as from the palms of the Shining Flare Wingman appeared a green light as then it threw it towards the Final Rider, making him stammer a little bit.
Amneal: 12700 - 9300 life points
Jaden: 4000 life points
Jaden then took a card from his hand, "I then activate Mirage Of Nightmare!" his Continuous Spell appeared near him, "During my opponent's Standby Phase, I can draw up to 4 cards in my hand, but during my Standby Phase, I have to discard the same amount I just drew."
"So that is your way around my Trap?" asked Amneal as Jaden nodded, "Impressive, but you still have the risk of sending your entire hand when your turn comes."
"Oh, I am ready for that type of risk." He then took another card from his hand, "I will then throw down a face down and call it a turn." he said as a card was set vertically behind Shining Flare Wingman.
"But before my turn comes, my D. D. Survivor comes back if he was banished, once per turn, so appear, D. D. Survivor!" yelled the Final Rider as his Dark Warrior appeared on the field once again.
(D. D. Survivor: Level 4 - Dark Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 200.)
Banished Cards: 17 (A)
Turn 3. Amneal - 9300 lp - 1 card
"My turn. I draw." he said as he drew his card as Jaden stepped in.
"Don't forget my Mirage's effect! I get to draw 4 cards from my deck!" he yelled as he drew 4 cards from his deck.
"Since you are gaining advantage, how about I do as well? I activate my D. D. Crow's effect from my hand!" yelled the Final Rider as he discarded a black crow with robotic parts around his wing and chest.
"With it, I can discard it," he said as he threw the card towards his Chaos Distill (LP: 9300 - 9800.), "so I can target one monster in your graveyard and banish it! I will choose your Elemental Hero Grandmerge!" he yelled as Jaden took out his card from the graveyard and placed it in his pocket.
Amneal: 9800 - 10300 life points
Jaden: 4000 lp
The Final Rider then took the last card in his hand, "I will assist my D. D. Survivor with a survivor like him. Appear, D. D. Warrior Lady!"
On his side of the field appeared a lady with brown and yellow hair, wearing a tight black coloured leather jacket that went to her knees, as she wore dark leather short shorts while wearing leather leggings with leather boots. She also wielded a green energy coloured sword.
(D. D. Warrior Lady: Level 4 - Light Warrior - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1600.)
"Go!" yelled Amneal, shocking Jaden that he is going straight towards the Battle Phase, "D. D. Warrior Lady attacks your Shining Flare Wingman!" he yelled as the Light Warrior monster charged at the Hero monster with her energy blade above her.
"What?" that's all that Jaden could say as he saw his Light Hero monster creating a small ball of green light to which he then threw it, creating an explosion, but her sword was the only thing that was left.
Amneal: 10300 - 8700 life points
Jaden: 4000 lp
"Why would you attack a monster with a straight up stronger attack point value?" the Slifer Red asked as he saw the energy sword still up.
"Because when my monster is involved in a battle, my opponent's monster is banished as well!" yelled the Final Rider.
"What?!" yelled in surprise Jaden as the energy sword went towards the Shining Flare Wingman and pierced through him like a stick of butter, making a small dust cloud.
Once Jaden was visible from the dust clouds, Amneal went towards the offensive, "Go! D. D. Survivor attacks you with Survival Instinct!" he shouted as the Dark Warrior charged towards the Slifer Red and delivered a mighty right hook, making him stammer a little bit.
Amneal: 8700 - 9700 life points
Jaden: 4000 - 2200 life points
The man that was in control of the duel threw his hand out towards the right side of him, "With that, I end my turn."
Banished Cards: 19 (A) 2 (J)
Turn 4. Jaden - 2200 lp - 4 cards
"Dang it. I lost almost half of my life points and I have no monsters on my side of the field." said Jaden, pointing out the obvious, but it was necessary because of his near impossible situation.
"That's right, and due to your Mirage of Nightmare's effect, you have to discard your entire hand, and since Time Seal made you skip your current Draw Phase, you don't have any cards in your hand." said Amneal as the chains on Jaden's duel disk disappeared and the brunette had to send his entire hand to his graveyard because of his Spell's effect. Meaning that he had no cards in his hand in the current turn.
"Face it, Key Keeper! Without your hand or field, you can not survive this turn! Better yet, you don't have the support of your friends to help you go on with your turn!" yelled Amneal, but to his and Jaden's shock, they heard a familiar voice.
"That's where you are wrong." said Honest as he entered the same room as the Final Rider and Keeper.
"Honest?!" He was shocked to see Zane's monster that helped him defeat Nightshroud to come and save him, but at the same time Yusuke's guardian? He was confused as to who was his master, "What are you doing here!?"
"Well, Master Fujiwara told me to help you in any way, and emotional help counts as well. And, I had my personal reason as well," said Honest as he turned to Amneal as he glared at him with Jaden tilting his head in confusion, "I want to see the person that hurt Master Fujiwara pay for what he has done."
Jaden understood what he meant as he straightened his back, "Well, I am glad that at least one person is here to help me in this situation." he said as Honest smiled at him.
"That is my duty as a guardian. To help and protect my Master by any cost." said Honest as Jaden felt strange when he said that, it was like he heard those words before as he saw a flash of two heterochromic eyes.
"That's great to hear, but let's continue on with the duel!" he turned the Final Rider as he pointed at his only set card, "You may think I put Mirage for only the draw effects and not thinking about the down sides, but I'll show you that you are super wrong about that! Go, Disgraceful Charity!"
"This card returns all the cards that were sent to the graveyard by an effect of a Spell Card!" he said as all four of his cards returned to his hand.
Honest nodded, "I see, so you used the disadvantage of your Spell card to an advantage by your Trap Card. Not bad, if I say so." said the Duel Spirit.
"That's not all of my new cards, as I will show you one of my favourites! Appear, Elemental Hero Solid Soldier!" a soldier appeared wearing titanium-like armour around him with a dark skin tight suit under the armour.
(Elemental HERO Solid Soldier: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1300. Defense: 1100.)
He pushed forward his arm as he began explaining, "My Solid Soldier has an effect! He doesn't like being alone during a fight, so when he is Normal Summoned, I get to special summon one of his buddies from my hand! So I will choose my Elemental Hero Stratos!"
A Hero wearing blue goggles, a white helmet, metal propellers on his back, with light blue skin wearing dark blue armour and gauntlets with also wearing metal like pants appeared on his side of the field.
(Elemental HERO Stratos: Level 4 - Wind Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 300.)
Jaden then took his deck, "When he is summoned on my side of the field, I can add one of his buddies from my deck to my hand!" said the Slifer Red as he took a card from it and then returned his deck in his duel disk.
He placed the new monster in his hand, right before taking a card from his hand, "Now its time for me to activate my Spell, Fusion Recovery! I can return a Polymerization and a monster I used for a Fusion Summon, so I choose my Avian!" he said as he took two cards from his graveyard to his hand.
"I will now begin fusing by activating Double Fusion! By paying 500 life points (LP: 2200 - 1700.) so I can now Fusion Summon twice! So I will now fuse from my field my Solid Soldier and Stratos!" he yelled as his two monsters were sucked in a Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
Jaden then began to chant, "Here comes the Hero to create a Tornado! Elemental Hero Great Tornado!" he yelled as from the vortex appeared a hero wearing a black cape with a light green, dark yellow and black skin suit with tornado like gauntlets around his arms.
(Elemental HERO Great Tornado: Fusion - Level 8 - Wind Warrior - Attack: 2800. Defense: 2200.)
The Spiral Vortex didn't go anywhere as Jaden took two more cards from his hand, "I will now fuse from my hand my Elemental Hero Liquid Soldier and Avian!" his feather Hero and his Hero with a tight black suit wearing a sapphire like armour around his body with ice all around the fingers appeared on the field as then they were then sucked in the Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
"Here comes the Hero who sends chills down his enemies' spines! Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!" from the Vortex came out a Hero with a silver white armour that was as cold as literal Absolute Zero. He wore a light white cape. It had light green eyes. It had black suit under his chilly armour. When summoned it stood up and his comrade went to the other side slowly.
(Elemental HERO Absolute Zero: Fusion - Level 8 - Water Warrior - Attack: 2500. Defense: 2000.)
"Three effects now go off at the same time! First, I get to draw 2 cards from my hand since Liquid was used as a Fusion Material, but I have to discard one card," he said as he drew two cards from his hand and sent Polymerization to the graveyard.
"Secondly, Great Tornado's effect goes off! When he is summoned, all of your monsters that you control lose half of their attack points! Go, Downburst!" a large gust of wind appeared from Great Tornado's hands as it went towards the Dark Warrior as it felt his strength going down.
D. D. Survivor: 1800 - 900 attack points
"Finally, I get to special summon from my graveyard a Hero as Solid was used for a Fusion Summon, so come out, Stratos!" he yelled as his Wind Hero appeared in between the two Elemental Heroes.
(Elemental HERO Stratos: Level 4 - Wind Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 300.)
"All of this…"
"From one card?" The Final Rider and Honest were shocked by the move of the Slifer Red grinned from the move.
"That's right, but sadly, Stratos' effect can't activate since I missed the timing, but nevertheless! Go!" he yelled with such authority that they were taken aback as he pushed his arm forward, "Attack with Wind Strike!" he yelled as Stratos went towards the Dark Warrior monster and striked it with his propellers.
Amneal: 9700 - 8800 - 9300 life points
Jaden: 1700 lp
"You are wide open now! Go, attack with Frozen Winds!" yelled Jaden as his two Fusion monsters nodded.
Great Tornado created a massive storm with his fingertips as it went towards the Shadow Rider with Absolute Zero with his frozen fist behind him. They then struck him at the same time, breaking Amneal's mask a little bit.
Amneal: 9300 - 6500 - 4000 life points
Jaden: 1700 lp
"Finally, normal amount of life points." said Jaden as Honest nodded with a smile, enjoying the duel between them. Jaden took every card in his hand, "I will then throw down 2 cards face down and call it a turn." two cards were then set vertically behind the three Elemental Heroes.
D. D. Survivor appeared once more as when it was summoned, Amneal slightly backed down, revealing some of his face.
Honest took a notice at Amneal and realized some parts of him were similar to the missing professor.
Banished Cards: 19 (A) 2 (J)
Turn 5. Amneal - 4000 lp - 0 cards
"He looks a bit like-" he was cut off by Jaden as he turned around to see Pharaoh.
"Pharaoh! Oh, there you are!" said Jaden as he went to grab the fat cat, but he slipped past his hands as he went towards Amneal.
"No! Don't go, Pharaoh! He is dangerou-" he stopped as he saw something that he never thought he would ever see in his life. Pharaoh was rubbing his head on his legs.
Something cats do to people they love.
"He is never this friendly towards anyone other than Professor Banner, so why is he…" Jaden tried to think of a plausible explanation as Honest realized it.
"No, it can't be." Honest took a step back.
"Looks like Yusuke's Duel Spirit realized it before you." said Amneal as Jaden looked at him as he picked up his mask and revealed his face for the first time since he went missing.
"No…no! That's impossible!" yelled Jaden as Amneal, one of the Shadow Riders, the person that defeated Celina and took her soul, harmed his student in the process was in reality…
…Professor Banner.
"You can't be Banner! If you are Banner, then who is he?!" yelled Jaden as he pointed at the mummy in the coffin.
"That is also me, Jaden." simply said Banner as he took his pet cat out of the ground and in his hands. "But to understand, I have to explain everything…"
Professor Lyman Banner was once a well respected scientist and archaeologist, helping popular archaeologists in his early years like Solomon Muto, the grandfather of Yugi Muto, and Arthur Hawkins, the grandfather of Rebecca Hawkins, in the search of the Millenium Items.
While he wasn't popular with being an archaeologist like Solomon and Arthur, he was still respected among his peers and even by the creator of Duel Monsters himself, Maximillion Pegasus as he went with him in many expeditions.
They went on many expeditions, and searched among some of the most popular monsters in all of Duel Monsters, such as the Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, the Egyptian Gods, Obelisk, Ra and Slifer, and even more. They even had plans of searching for the legendary monster such as the Rainbow Dragon.
But in a short while, they had a feud on something serious, something that could destroy the fabric of existence if they were printed. Banner had the idea of searching of the very first Duel cards that were dubbed the Sacred Beasts, Raviel, Uria and Hamon, but Pegasus said that it would be foolish since only the 3 Egyptian Gods were enough for the game and for the world to handle and if they were created in the game, unspeakable disaster would happen all around the world and even the 12 Dimensions with its power.
As then they went their separate ways, one continuing creating the most famous game in the entire world and making himself famous, and the other went to the Sacred Beasts for its immense power.
After a grewling 4 months of searching, he found them. The Sacred Beasts. One of the Strongest monsters in all of Duel Monster history. Raviel, Lord of Phantasms, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames and Hamon, Lord Of Striking Thunder. Their power was so great that ordinary people feel unconscious by just their presence.
Something about them were troubling him though, he felt sicker to more he was near them, like it was actually making him worse the more he was around them, which explained the power of them. Their powers were so great that it can make people sick just by being near them.
Once he returned home he felt immense sickness. He tried everything. He tried every single possible combination, but nothing worked out. Not even what he thought at the time was the cure, but it was only the potion for a brief immortality.
He saw a man with broad shoulders, long flowing hair, grey eyes, in a black business suit with an impressive build. He gave his ideas about eternal youth, and if he went to his group called the Shadow Riders which at the time didn't have a member yet, he could have immortality for the rest of time.
He had no choice, as he then declared himself the first Shadow Rider, but to keep his body from failing, he created himself a homunculus and placed his soul inside of it.
Banner heard that the cards he found were in a location called Duel Academy, and he decided to go there and become a teacher, teaching a new generation of Duelists.
"And that was my story, Jaden, and the sad part of it is that I don't have much time left." he touched a part of his face and it crumbled like sand. "That is my reason why I have become a Shadow Rider, to preserve my own life so I can use the power of the three Sacred Beasts."
"Even if you have to destroy the world in the process?! I am sorry, but I can't let you do that!" Jaden was enraged by the words of his dorm master. He was using the very things that were about to destroy the world for his own life.
"Too late, because if you lose, I will get your Key, and release the Sacred Beasts!" yelled Banner as Jaden dropped his head.
"Then…I won't duel." said Jaden as Honest looked at him in sadness.
"Oh you will, because if you don't," he placed Pharaoh down as he placed his fingers on the top of his deck, "Celina will be kept as my prisoner, and if you want to release her from my prison, then you will have to duel me!" yelled Banner as Jaden gritted his teeth.
"Fine! If saving the world and saving her means that I have to duel and defeat you, then I will gladly do that!" yelled Jaden as Banner smirked.
"I knew that will do that for you, I draw!" he yelled as he drew his card and Jaden drew his 4 cards and smirked, "I activate the Spell, Chaos Greed! If I don't have a card in my graveyard and at least 4 cards banished, I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" he said as he drew 2 cards.
"I will activate Pot Of Greed, making me draw 2 more cards." he said as he drew 2 more cards. He then took one of the cards in his hand, "I will now activate Soul Release, I can banish up to 5 monsters in either of our graveyard! And I will choose your Bubbleman, Avian, Liquid Soldier and Solid Soldier!"
Every monster in Jaden's graveyard appeared towards him, before they went into a black hole.
Banner: 4000 - 4500 - 5000 - 5500 - 7500 life points
Jaden: 1700 lp
And just like that Banner's life points are nearly doubled. He wasn't done as Banner took a card from his hand, "I will activate my Continuous Spell card, Dimensional Force! This card banishes all monsters that would go to the graveyard instead!"
"I will now tribute my D. D. Survivor!" his only monster on the field disappeared as he took the last card from his hand and slammed it on his duel disk. "So I can summon my Golden Homunculus!" (LP: 7500 - 8000.) As then on his side of the field appeared a massive stone giant on his side of the field, towering over all of Jaden's monsters.
(Golden Homunculus: Level 6 - Light Warrior - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
"He has an effect also." Jaden and Honest's eyes widened at the same time, "He gains 300 attack and defense points for every banished card that I have, and I counted 22!" he yelled as his stone giant got stronger by the passing second.
Golden Homunculus: ? - 6600 attack/defense points
Honest looked at Jaden, "Activate either of your set cards. Now!"
"You got it!" he yelled as he pressed a button and a card appeared on his field, "Go, Elemental Recharge! For every Hero that I control, I gain 1000 life points! And I counted 3!"
Banner: 8000 lp
Jaden: 1700 - 4700 life points
"That's not all! I also activate the Quick-Play Spell card, Mystic Wok! I choose my Stratos," he pointed at his monster as he got banished as well, "And I gain life points equal to his attack points!"
Banner: 8000 - 8500 life points
Jaden: 4700 - 6500 life points
"That won't be enough for either of your monsters! Go! Attack with Stone Shard Storm!" yelled Banner as his monster raised his hand and shot a massive amounts of stones at the Absolute Zero as Jaden braced himself.
Banner: 8500 - 9000 life points
Jaden: 6500 - 2400 life points
An almost fatal blow from the Final Rider, but Banner stopped smirking when he saw his student smirk as well, "Why are you smirking?" he asked.
"Because when Absolute Zero is removed from the field, he can destroy all of your monsters! Instant Freezing!" on the floor around Banner's only monster appeared ice so cold it could rip someone limb off, and especially from a stone giant.
However, Banner was prepared, "Not quite! My Dimensional Force negates all monster effects that will harm my monsters, so your Zero's effect has zero effect!" he said as his monster smashed the ice with its hand.
He then looked at his hand and then to his student, "I end my turn."
Banished Cards: 22 (A) 4 (J)
Turn 6. Jaden - 2400 lp - 4 cards
"My turn!" yelled Jaden as he drew his card and flipped it with a smirk as he automatically activated it, "First, I activate the Quick-Play Spell card, Emergency Provisions! I target my Mirage of Nightmares, and I gain 1000 life points for it!" he said as his Spell card disappeared as a red glow appeared on him briefly as he had a small smirk on his face.
Banner: 9000 lp
Jaden: 2400 - 3400 life points
"I'll then activate my copy of Pot Of Greed, so I can draw 2 cards from my deck." he said as he drew the top 2 cards from his deck. He nodded as he put the cards in his hand and then took one of them, "I summon the fiery heroine known as Burstinatrix!"
A heroine wearing a tight red suit with ash like hair down to her hips with green eyes and pale skin.
(Elemental HERO Burstinatrix: Level 3 - Fire Warrior - Attack: 1200. Defense: 800.)
"Why would you waste your normal summon a Normal monster?" asked Honest as Jaden took a card from his hand.
"I'll answer your question, soon buddy, but first I activate E - Emergency Call!" a red E appeared from his Spell card as Jaden took his deck and searched for a card in it, "With this I can add an Elemental Hero monster from my deck, and I will choose my Blazeman!" he said as he revealed the card he just added.
He then took a card from his hand, "I will now activate my Spell, Burst Return! If I control a Burstinatrix on my field, every other Elemental Hero returns to my hand! Sorry, Tornado, but I have to do this." his Fusion Hero nodded as fire appeared on the fire heroine which made him return to the Extra Deck.
"You just return the strongest monster on your field, so why would you…" he then realized a card that Jaden was currently holding.
"Because this card will help me in this duel! I activate my Spell, Burst Impact! If I control Burstinatrix on my side of the field, every other monster on either side of the field are now destroyed!" he yelled as Banner's eyes widened for the first time as he saw fire appeared on the Fire Hero to which she threw at the massive stone giant which was powerful enough to destroy it with a single ball, but he wasn't done yet, "For every one destroyed, the owner of those monsters lose 300 life points!" he said as Banner took a step back.
Banner: 9000 - 8700 - 9200 life points
Jaden: 3400 lp
"You just destroyed my strongest monster with a single Spell…" Banner had a small smile on his face.
"That's not all! I also activate Tag Request! If I have a monster on my side of the field with the same attack points as a Hero in my hand, so come out! Elemental Hero Blazeman!" he said as he slammed the card on his duel disk as a hero that wore a red helmet with 6 balls around his back while wearing a black, red and gray battle suit as fire appeared on his hands.
(Elemental HERO Blazeman: Level 4 - Fire Warrior - Attack: 1200. Defense: 1800.)
"With him summoned, I can add a Polymerization from my deck straight to my hand!" Jaden did so as he added a Spell card to his hand.
"It's time to attack! Blazeman and Burstinatrix attacks you directly with Ignited Arrows!" said the Slifer Red as his two monsters reeled back their fists and threw them at the Final Rider, creating small arrows which then went towards him, making him stammer.
Banner: 9200 - 8000 - 6800 life points
Jaden: 3400 lp
Jaden took a breather as he then looked at Banner. "That ends my turn." said the brunette.
Banished Cards: 23 (A) 4 (J)
Turn 7. Banner - 6800 lp - 0 cards
"I draw!" said Banner as he drew the top card in his deck as he then looked at it and nodded, "I activate Pot Of Desires! I banish the top 10 cards in my deck." he said as he picked up the top 10 cards in his deck and threw them at his Chaos Distill which it absorbed it with no issue.
Banner: 6800 - 11800 - 12300 life points
Jaden: 3400 lp
"OH COME ON!" yelled Jaden as he saw his professor's life points sky rocket.
"So I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" he did so as he looked at the two cards in his hand as he nodded. He took one of them, "I end my turn after I set this card face down." he said as a card was set vertically in front of him.
Banished Cards: 34 (A) 4 (J)
Turn 8. Jaden - 3400 lp - 1 card
"I am getting real sick and tired of that Soul Absorption! I draw!" he said as he drew the top card in his hand and automatically played it, "Go, Graceful Charity! I can draw 3 cards from my deck, for the price of 2 cards in my hand." he said as drew 3 and discarded his O - Oversoul and Polymerization.
He grinned as he took the card that could help him in this exact situation, "You have the perfect counter to this situation?" asked Honest as Jaden nodded.
"You betcha', and I will play it right now! I activate R - Righteous Justice!" a yellow R appeared from the Spell card as the Slifer Red began explaining, "For every Hero that I have out on my side of the field, I can destroy one Spell or Trap on your field! And I will pick your set card and Soul Absorption!" he yelled as the yellow R appeared and went towards the two cards and destroyed them at the same time, one of them being that of Negate Attack.
Jaden grinned as he pushed his arm forward, "How about I give you some payback!? Go! Attack with Ignited Arrow!"
Burstinatrix and Blazeman reeled their arms backwards and then threw them at the Final Rider as arrows appeared from those punches, which were directed directly around where the punches were thrown.
Banner: 12300 - 9900 life points
Jaden: 3400 lp
"That's all that I can do, your move." said Jaden as he felt amazing defeating that annoying Soul Absorption card, but it might have worked better if he destroyed Dimensional Force as well, but it was better do that, rather than to worry about the life point gaining card.
Banished Cards: 36 (A) 4 (J)
Turn 9. Banner - 9900 lp - 1 card
"You may have taken out my Spell cards, but I still have more life points than you can ever imagine, I draw!" he yelled as he drew his card and smiled when he saw card he just drew, "I summon my D. D. Assailant."
On his side of the field appeared a woman with pink hair and green eyes, wearing a tight silver coloured armour and wielding a massive sword in her hand, she also wore a red bandana over her head.
(D. D. Assailant: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1700. Defense: 1600.)
"Those attack points." narrowed his eyes Honest as he saw the amount of attack points as Jaden realized something is about to happen to either of his Fire Heroes.
"I declare an attack! Go! Attack with Banishment Slash!" yelled Banner as his monster nodded.
His monster went towards Blazeman and did an upwards slash, creating a rift in time destroying him and making him being sent there.
Jaden covered himself from the explosion as he looked over the field.
Banner: 9900 lp
Jaden: 3400 - 2900 life points
"See that, Jaden? That's the might of the mighty Shadow Riders! No matter what you do, you will never defeat us!" yelled Banner as Jaden straightens his back.
"Jaden! You must not lose hope! Even if the situation is in shambles and is seen as impossible, you still have a chance!" said Honest as Jaden smiled at the Light Fairy monster.
"Oh don't worry! I don't plan on losing any time, or even giving up!" said Jaden as Banner smirked.
"Really now? Well, go ahead. Make your move and show me your strength." said Banner as Jaden nodded as he placed his fingers on top of his deck.
Banished Cards: 36 (A) 5 (J)
Turn 10. Jaden - 2900 lp - 1 card
"I will show you!" he said as he drew a card from his hand, but his smile fell slightly when he saw the card he just drew. It…it wasn't a bad card.
It was a good card for this situation, but it didn't show his strength, and it didn't work right now and in this turn which might give Banner an extra monster he should be worrying about which rubs Jaden the wrong way.
He sighed as he took a card from his hand, "I will throw down a face down." a card was set vertically behind Burstinatrix.
"And I will change my Burstinatrix into defense mode and call it a turn." said Jaden as his Fire Hero went into an X position.
Banished Cards: 36 (A) 5 (J)
Turn 11. Banner - 9900 lp - 1 card
"I draw," said Banner as he drew his next card and saw it. He grinned, but first he had to do something.
"Attack! With Banishment Slash!" he yelled as his Earth Warrior went towards the Fire Hero and slashed upwards, creating a small portal, destroying her and making her go there at the same time.
Instead of Jaden looking worried, instead, he looked happy. "Thanks."
"What?" asked Banner as Jaden revealed his Trap card.
"Because you activated my Trap card! Hero Counterattack! When a monster I control is destroyed by battle, you get to randomly choose a card from my hand, and if it is a monster, I get to special summon it!" he explained as he showed the back of his hand.
"You only have 1 card in your hand." said Banner as Jaden grinned.
"Exactly, so welcome one of my favourites! Elemental Hero Bubbleman!" he yelled as his favourite blue armour, blaster on one arm, bubbles inside of him and when he was summoned, bubbles appeared all around him. He was in an X position.
(Elemental HERO Bubbleman: Level 4 - Water Warrior - Attack: 800. Defense: 1200.)
"Furthermore, Counterattack destroys one monster on your side of the field so say goodbye to your Assailant!" he said as from the Trap card appeared a massive storm of bubbles which destroyed the Earth Warrior.
"Next up, Bubbleman allows me to draw 2 cards when he is chilling alone!" he said as he drew 2 cards from his deck.
Banner sighed as he took a card from his hand, "I will end my turn with a face down." he said as a card was set vertically in front of Banner.
Banished Cards: 37 (A) 6 (J)
Turn 12. Jaden - 2900 lp - 2 cards
Jaden placed his fingers on his duel disk and then yelled, "My turn! I draw!" he drew the top card in his hand and nodded as he placed the card in his hand and took another from his hand.
"I will activate the Spell, H - Heated Heart!" an orange H appeared from the Spell card and then went towards Bubbleman, "With this one of my monsters gain 500 extra attack points! Then I will change the battle position!" His Bubbleman glew red from the attack point gain and switched into the battling position with a grin on his face.
Elemental HERO Bubbleman: 800 - 1300 attack points
Banner leaned in, "Now's my chance! I activate my Trap, Marco Cosmos!" the entire terrain changed into a bright light which covered the entire area which made Honest and Jaden cover the eyes from the light as Bubbleman took it without much issues.
Once they opened their eyes they looked around and saw the massive change in how it looked. It was like they were battling in Space with the 7 Planets all around them. "What the?!"
"Why does it look like we are in space?!" asked Honest as he looked around.
"I second that!"
"Because we are at the center of the Solar System where the most important part of it exists." Jaden raised an eyebrow as Banner took out his deck and took one card from it, "Which means, when I activate Macro Cosmos, I can special summon from my deck, Helios - The Primordial Sun!"
On his side of the field appeared a thin slender figure covered in bandages with a Sun for a head. All the Planets went around Helios.
(Helios - The Primordial Sun: Level 4 - Light Pyro - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
"Not to mention, my monster gains 100 attack and defense points for every banished monster!"
Helios: ? - 500 attack/defense points
(A/N: Note that the 15 monsters that Eater of Millions has banished do not count for this situation since it only counts monsters that are banished face up. So only Eater of Millions, Warrior Lady, Survivor, Crow, Golden Homunculus and Assainlant count.)
Jaden didn't care for the explanation of the second effect of Marco Cosmos, as it banishes all cards sent to the graveyard as he saw something around the Planets. His eyes widened when he saw a certain indigo haired girl, on the ground unconscious.
"CELINA!" he yelled in worry as he tried to wake her up, but Banner chuckled.
"She can't hear you now," Jaden turned to Banner, "She is my prisoner now like you will be for all of eternity! Face it, Jaden," Banner took out his Emerald Tablet and waved it towards him, "It is your Destiny! Soon you will be locked in its pages!"
"A prisoner! A pathetic footnote to my saga! To my accession to my greatness! Don't you get it, Jaden!? You don't have what it takes to defeat me! You and your Duel Spirit Pal are finished!" said Banner with a grin on his face, but something told that he wasn't being fully truthful. "I made this book with my flesh, blood and sweat! I won't lose to a Slifer Slacker like you!" he said as Jaden was shocked that his teacher would say something to one of his students.
"Hey, don't you forget all of the matches I have won?" asked Jaden as Banner laughed when he said that, scaring him and Honest, as the duel spirit stayed quiet.
"Oh those? Well, I have something to tell you, Jaden," he said as he looked at him in the eyes, revealing his blood red eyes, "Those…were all fixed in your favour!" Their eyes widened when he said that.
"What?"
"You heard me! Every duel you had were all fixed! Your duel against Crowler? Fixed! Your duel against Alexis Rhodes? Fixed! Your duel against Chazz? Titan? The Tyler Sisters? During the School Duel? Every other duel you ever had that you won? They were all fixed in your favour! You have never won a single duel without me helping you in the sidelines!" said Banner as Jaden took a step back in shock as Honest tried to study his body language, but it looked like they were all truthful.
"But what about those duels where I have lost!? Against Kaiser and Chazz?" Jaden tried to say that this didn't make any sense. This couldn't be true in the slightest. Right?
"Those? Well, I haven't convinced them hard enough." he said with a smirk, "I mean, think about it! Why would the strongest duelist here ever agree to lose to someone like you and why would someone that tried to earn his brothers' respect ever lose the chance of losing that duel?!"
"That…that…" Jaden can't believe that, not in a million years could he believe that all of the duels he ever had were rigged in his favour. He thought he was great at dueling, but all this time, he was horrible at it?
He gritted his teeth as he looked at his professor, "Why did I even have a Spirit Key then?!"
"Don't you get it? I convinced Sheppard to give you the Keys so you would have been easy picking for the other Shadow Riders! Think about it! Why did not one Shadow Rider even come against you?" Jaden then realized it, he wasn't anything special. He was horrible at the one thing he loved doing the entire time.
"Looks like you finally understood why, but hey, I will give you a test." Jaden looked at him, "If you defeat me or my monster this turn, then I will rethink my thoughts on you. That's it."
"Alright! If you think I am horrible, then I will show you how wrong you are! I activate Hero Flash!" he yelled as he inserted the card in his duel disk, "With this, I have to banish from my graveyard, H - Heated Heart, E - Emergency Call, R - Righteous Justice and O - Oversoul, so I could do one thing!"
A bright signal appeared over them with the writing being HERO in bright colours as Jaden took out his deck, "So I can special summon one Elemental Hero from my deck! So come out, Elemental Hero Bladedge!" On his side of the field, appeared the golden armour wearing Hero on the field on the knees as he stood up.
(Elemental HERO Bladedge: Level 7 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2600. Defense: 1800.)
"Now! Bladedge attacks your Helios with Slice and Dice Attack!" said Jaden as his Earth Hero charged towards the living Sun, however Banner laughed.
"That won't happen! I activate the effect of my Dimensional Force's final effect! I can send it to my graveyard, along another spell card on my side of the field," his Chaos Distill and Dimensional Force disappeared from the field.
"So that my monster can not be targeted for an attack, instead you can attack me directly for the rest of the turn!" he said as Bladedge turned towards the Final Rider and attacked him with one of his blades.
Banner: 9900 - 7300 life points
Jaden: 2900 lp
"Well, I can still attack you directly! Go, Bubbleman! Attack with Bubble Blast!" said Jaden as his Water Hero shot his professor with bubbles from his blaster.
Banner: 7300 - 6000 life points
Jaden: 2900 lp
"After all that, you still haven't finished me off?" asked Banner with a smirk on his face.
"I still have one more card in my hand! I activate my Quick-Play Spell card, Hero's Backup! If a Hero attacked you, I can sacrifice the Hero that just attacked," his Bubbleman disappeared as he took a card from his Extra Deck, "So I can special summon a Hero from my Extra Deck, but I can not Special summon for the rest of the turn or attack other than the Special Summoned monster!"
"So here comes the Hero that protects the Earth from all evil, Elemental Hero Terra Firma!" On his side of the field appeared a monster with pure white skin with blue and red orbs around his body with an impressive build. He stood up proud and ready to fight evil.
(Elemental HERO Terra Firma: Fusion - Level 8 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2500. Defense: 2000.)
"Impressive. Summoning a Fusion monster on your side of the field during the Battle Phase." said Honest to himself as Jaden pointed at his Fusion Hero.
"Terra Firma's effect activates since I control another Hero when I activated Hero's Backup! I sacrifice Bladedge and he gains all of his stats!" he said as Bladedge went in the Fusion Hero which made the muscles of Terra Firma to grow in size.
Terra Firma: 2500 - 5100 attack points/2000 - 3800 defense points
"Now attack! With Earth Impact!" said Jaden as Terra Firma jumped up and charged towards the Final Rider and delivered a punch that could defeat anyone, but not him as he stood his ground with a smirk on his face.
Banner: 6000 - 900 life points
Jaden: 2900 lp
Even with the power of three powerful monsters, a powerful Spell card's effect and 3 direct attacks that could defeat anyone even with double life points, he still couldn't defeat his professor.
He lowered his head in shame.
Maybe he was right.
He couldn't do anything.
All of his duels were rigged to his favour.
He is horrible the one thing that brought him joy and friendship.
Honest looked at him with sadness.
"After the Battle, due to Hero's Backup, Terra Firma is destroyed." said Jaden as his Terra Firma exploded.
He looked at his hand and then to his professor, "Your move."
Banished Cards: 39 (A) 15 (J)
Turn 13. Banner - 900 lp - 1 card
"Disappointing, but predictable." he said as he placed his fingers on his deck and drew his card. He smirked when he saw the card as he placed it in his hand and took another from it.
"I'll start by activating the Spell Yellow Process - Kitolenics! With this, I can tribute my Helios," his monster with a Sun for a head disappeared from the field as he began explaining, "So I can special summon from my deck, Helios Duo Megistus!"
On his side of the field a rather…plus size woman covered in bandages appeared on the field with a much bigger Sun on her head.
(Helios Duo Megistus: Level 6 - Light Pyro - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
"She, like the version before her, has an effect! She gains 200 for every banished monster!" Banner explained as a red glow appeared on Helios.
Helios Duo Megistus: ? - 1200 attack/defense points
"But why do it once, when I could do it twice!?" said Banner with a grin as Jaden and Honest widened their eyes as Banner took the last card in his hand, "I activate Red Process - Rubedo!"
"I sacrifice my Helios Duo Megistus," he said as his Megistus disappeared from the field as he took a card from his deck, "so I can special summon one of my strongest monsters in my deck!"
Banner began to chant, "Rise again from the passion and power of the Sun as the fire among you burns you into a new form! I summon Helios Trice Megistus!" He slammed the card as on his side of the field appeared three bodies with a Sun for a head, covered in bandages and rather plum.
Everyone could feel the gravity pull on those three Suns in place, but they stood their ground.
(Helios Trice Megistus: Level 8 - Light Pyro - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
Banner raised his hand and gripped it as he began to explain her effect, "Her effect is similar to the other two, but it instead of 100, or 200 attack points raised, she gains 300 for every banished monster!"
Helios Trice Megistus: ? - 2100 attack/defense points
"Oh, I don't like those life points, one bit, Honest." said Jaden as Honest nodded with him.
"Neither do I, Jaden." he said as Banner smirked.
"If you are scared of her attack points, then you will hate her attack! Now go! Attack with Phoenix Flare!" he yelled as all three monsters made fire from the Sun and put their heat into one singular ball and then blast it towards the empty field in the shape of a Phoenix.
Jaden grunted as he fell on his knees.
Banner: 900 lp
Jaden: 2900 - 800 life points
"Soon, I will have your Key. And with it, I can control everything in power!" he yelled as he looked at his student, with slight sadness in his eyes, but he can't show it to him now. "I end my turn."
Banished Cards: 43 (A) 15 (J)
Turn 14. Jaden - 800 lp - 1 card
Jaden breathed in and out as he stood there on his knees, unable to even work a muscle as his hand was on the floor. He felt like the weight of the whole world was on his shoulders as he faced what he thought was a person that respected the reds, but instead was a part of the Shadow Riders.
Suddenly, to his and Honest's shock, he could hear a certain cooing from his deck.
He looked around and then he looked at his duel disk and realized something, it was him.
Gifted to him by the very King Of Games himself.
It was the Duel Spirit that he knew always had his back.
"Hey, Winged Kuriboh, I didn't think I would see you here, but man, I am glad that you are here." he said with a smile on his face which made the duel spirit smile as well.
"So why are you here, pal?" he asked as Winged Kuriboh cooed to him to which he stood up.
"You are right. Even if I am alone here, you will always be with me." he said as he realized what would happen if he summoned him, to which Winged Kuriboh cooed as a reply.
"You would do that for me? Even if all of it was rigged?" he said as Winged Kuriboh didn't coo, but nodded which made the Slifer Red happy. "Thanks, pal. Let's do this!" he said as he placed his fingers on his deck and drew it.
He looked at it and smiled, exactly like how he told him who it was.
He took the card, "I will throw down a face down and call it a turn!" He said a card was set vertically in front of the brunette.
Banished Cards: 43 (A) 15 (J)
Turn 15. Banner - 900 lp - 0 cards
Banner sighed as he knew what that card was and he knew how attached Jaden was to that card, and he couldn't blame him, not one bit, but he has to do it. It was his job to do so.
He looked at his deck and placed his fingers on top of it and drew it. He nodded as he picked up the card.
Honest went backwards, "You can't be serious. Not that monster! Anything but that!" he said in a begging and scared voice as every Duel monster knew the presence of a certain monster, "I will even take the 3 Dimensional Dragons, but please not that!"
Jaden looked at Honest, "What's the matter?" he asked in a worried voice.
He looked at the Slifer Red, "A monster that is strong enough to crush the Duel Monster Spirit World, and even rivaling that of the Egyptian Gods." Jaden's eyes widened when he heard that as he turned his eyes towards his professor.
"He is right, Jaden. This monster makes every other monster you and I summoned look like action figures in comparison, but I should show you the might of the Shadow Riders." he said as he slammed the card on his duel disk.
He began to chant, "The end of all beings has now begun. The monster of everyone's destruction is formed by the death of every monster that was killed! I summon Gren Maju Da Eiza!"
All planets began shaking as from the crust of Jupiter it revealed itself as a…small blood coloured monster with green skin, some grass on its hands, a body of a serpent, horns on each side, wings with the thin parts of it being purple.
(Gren Maju Da Eiza: Level 3 - Fire Fiend - Attack: ?. Defense: ?.)
Honest, Helios Trice Megistus and even some of the remaining Heroes in Jaden's deck looked at it with scared eyes and backed off with them shaking, with only Winged Kuriboh being brave enough to look at the monster with brave eyes.
Jaden however looked at it in confusion, "Huh? Why is it so small? I heard that good things come in small packages, but this is ridiculous!" he said as Honest gulped as he looked at him.
"You will find out soon enough why its feared by many." said Honest as Banner nodded.
"He is right, since he has an effect in which…his stats become 400 for every banished card." Jaden's eyes widened as he saw the monster grow into the size of actual planets in the background.
Gren Maju Da Eiza: ? - 43 x 400 + 15 x 400 = 17200 + 6000 = 23200 attack/defense points
"NO WAY!" yelled in shock Jaden as he saw Banner, The Final Rider, Amneal, having a monster with more than anything he has ever seen in his life.
He doesn't even think anything can come even close to the might of this thing!
"This the end! I attack with my Gren Maju Da Eiza with END OF THE WORLD!" he said as his monster raised his fist and went towards the Slifer Red, ready to slam it to the ground.
"JADEN!"
"I got it! I activate my set card!" His set card was revealed as he began explaining, "My Flute Of Summoning Kuriboh allows me to special summon my buddy, my pal, Winged Kuriboh on my side of the field."
He took out his deck and then a card, to which he returned the entire deck. He slammed the card quickly on his side of the field. His furball with brown fur, wings and claws appeared on his side of the field.
(Winged Kuriboh: Level 1 - Light Fairy - Attack: 300. Defense: 200.)
"And when my buddy is destroyed, I don't take any damage for the rest of the turn!" he said as his favourite monster that wasn't Flame Wingman was then destroyed by the fist of the Gren Maju Da Eiza, with it gaining more attack points (ATK/DEF: 23200 - 24000.)
"You may have tried to stop your defeat, but rest assured. I will defeat you either here or later! Your move, Jaden! And I want to see what you can do in your final turn." he said, seriously.
They could tell that they wanted the best from him, but could he bring out the perfect monster?
They had to wait and see.
Banished Cards: 43 (A) 17 (J)
Turn 16. Jaden - 800 lp - 0 cards
"Oh yeah!? I'll show you that I am not done!" he said as then he looked at his duel disk, "Or maybe I am?" he thought as he gritted his teeth, "Maybe I was a bad duellist all along? All those duels that I had were rigged in my favour? It would make sense though, I was never good at anything."
He looked at his hand, "All those duels. All of those times I had fun in those…were those just rigged as well? Was I really that bad with dueling that someone had to rig the duels just so I could be confident in one thing?" he started to remember his duel against everyone, and how every one of those duels he was the victor.
The first two duels against Chazz, Crowler, Alexis, Syrus, the Tyler Sisters, Celina, Bastion and more. All of those were rigged.
Which makes sense in his first and only duel against Zane, he was outmatched in every step of the way and was defeated by a monster with 8000 attack points. Even in the third round against Chazz, he lost the duel even while having the life point advantage.
He really was a loser.
Like during his childhood.
When he was all alone, the only friend he ever had moved away when his dad went missing and was adopted by a different father, his parents almost never went home due to work, and every time he had other people over, they stopped whenever he lost a duel all because of one card.
Heck, the only other friend he had before this was a cat that passed away a few years ago by the name of Sardines.
"Hey, are you alright?" Jaden turned his attention to Honest, "I am curious on why you were looking at your hand for a little while?"
"Oh, how much I…don't belong here." he said, shocking Honest.
"Why would you say something so harsh to yourself?" he asked as Jaden took a deep breath.
"Because, what if he was telling the truth? That I was someone who needed help in order to look good in comparison. That I was someone that needed help in order to become a free Key to the Shadow Riders." he said as Honest looked shocked at every word, "That I was some worthle-"
"Stop." Jaden looked at Honest as the Duel Spirit looked at him in a serious expression.
"Wha-"
"I said stop. Jaden, you are none of those things." he said.
"But what about-"
"Those do not count. Even if it were true, you have no idea how much you mean to them." Jaden was confused on what he meant, "You really do not know, do you?" he chuckled as he looked at him, "You are the reason why Syrus has become bolder, you are the reason why Chumley stayed here, you are the reason why Chazz looked much happier than before. I even heard from Zane, that you are the person that he wants to duel more." Jaden's eyes widened, "Not Master Fujiwara, not his younger brother, but you. He wants to see you grow, everyone in fact, but he wants for you, or anyone, to surpass him so he could hand the torch when he graduates the school."
Jaden then realized what that meant, but Honest had to tell him what needs to be said, "What I am trying to tell you is that, even if it were true, the bonds that you created through dueling is what matters, not by how many wins you have in your belt, but how many bonds you have made. So it doesn't matter if you didn't win those duels fairly, go in, and make sure that the bonds that you created make each other more known. So draw the top card in your deck and prove to your professor that you have won those duels fairly!" yelled Honest as Jaden felt much more…safer, more relaxed when he said that.
He looked over to his shoulders and saw everyone that he created friendship with this card game. Celina, Syrus, Chumley, Chazz, Bastion, Alexis, Zane, Yusuke, Sheppard and even Crowler.
He looked to Honest and smiled, "Thanks Honest, I really needed that." Honest smiled at him when he said that.
He turned to Banner who had a small smile on his face, "You heard him Banner! I am going to win this duel and all of those duels that you rigged won't count, because right here and right now, I am getting my game ON!" he shouted as he drew his hand which felt like actual flames appeared on his fingers when he said that.
"Prove it, Jaden." said Banner as his student looked at the card he drew and smiled.
"Ohh, I will prove it now! I activate Parallel World Fusion!" he said as he inserted the card in his duel disk.
"Parallel…
"... World Fusion?" began Banner as Honest finished it.
"That's right! A new Fusion card! This card allows me to use monsters that are banished as Fusion Materials and I have to shuffle them in my deck, but I can not Special summon for the rest of the turn!" he said as a Red-Blue-Black Spiral Vortex appeared on his side of the field as 4 monsters appeared on his field.
"So I will fuse my Bubbleman, Burstinatrix, Clayman and Avian to summon the Ultimate Elemental Hero!" he said as his Fire, Water, Earth and Wind Heroes appeared on his field only for them to be sucked in the Spiral Vortex.
He then began to chant, "Here comes the Hero that controls all of the Elements of the Elemental Heroes! Elemental Hero Electrum!" from the Vortex appeared a hero wearing a tight yellow skin suit. He wore white underpants, around his biceps and shoulders was a white covered suit. Around his eyes was a red vizor whose mouth was the only revealing part of his body. On his chest was a white E in a blue circle.
(Elemental HERO Electrum: Fusion - Level 10 - Light Warrior - Attack: 2900. Defense: 2600.)
"So this is your final Hero?" asked Banner as Honest nodded with the monster.
"I have to admit, that is a powerful monster, but how is that supposed to help you?" asked Honest.
Jaden grinned as he pointed at his monster, "Easy! When my Electrum is summoned on the field, every banished card we both have is…" he waited a second as he grinned to wait for the perfect moment, "NOW SHUFFLED INTO OUR DECKS!" he yelled as the two widened their eyes.
"WHAT!?" both of them yelled at the same time as from Macro Cosmos appeared every card that was banished in the entire duel and went into their decks, making their decks much bigger than before.
With that, it made the living Suns and the most feared monster in all Duel Monster Spirit World were made…
Helios Trice Megistus: 2100 - 0 attack/defense points
Gren Maju Da Eiza: 24000 - 0 attack/defense points
…defenseless.
"This is it, Banner! I have won!" Jaden said as he thrusted his arm toward the Professor, "Attack with Elemental Radiant Burst at the Gren Maju Da Eiza!" he said as Electrum charged at the powerful monster and his hand was covered in Wind, Water, Fire and Earth as it struck the most feared monster in the Spirit World, making a massive explosion.
Banner had a proud smile on his face as he fell to his knees and the emerald tablet's seal was broken.
As then…
Banner: 900 - 0 life points
Jaden: 800 lp
JADEN YUKI: WINNER!
…Jaden was declared the winner.
The holograms of every monster, Spell and Traps disappeared.
He won the duel.
He was the only one left standing in the war against the Shadow Riders and Key Keepers.
Jaden could feel the pillars coming down outside, the light beams darkening as it like it never happened and the door of the abandoned dorm was unlocked.
He even saw Celina appear in the middle of the duel arena where they fought on her back.
Jaden walked over her and then towards Banner. He placed his index finger and middle finger together and pointed at his down Professor, "That's game."
"Jaden, listen carefully to me, my boy." he said, his voice weaker than ever as the winner of the war looked at him, "I lied." he said as the Slifer Red's eyes widened, "I lied about everything about me rigging your duels in your favour. You won all of those duels fair and square."
"But why did you lie then, Banner?" asked Jaden as Banner looked at him with a guilty expression.
"I was only doing it so I could test you."
"Test me? What do you mean?"
"I wanted to test you for the real evil to come. That was the real reason why I became a Shadow Rider, not to be powerful and rule the world, but to stop who is truly trying to rule the world." said Banner as he continued, "By stopping him I had to force all of you to become stronger duelists to duel him and," he coughed as he looked at the eyes of Honest and Jaden, "hopefully defeat him."
"By forcing him to become stronger? What do you imply?" asked Honest as he narrowed his eyes.
"I hate to say this, but he is the real reason why all of this began and sadly, he is the toughest opponent any of you could ever face in your life." he said as that shocked the two.
A threat even more tougher than the Venom Rider, Photon Rider and even Banner? That sounds almost impossible to hear about.
"That's right, and I had no choice, but to do anything that he ordered us to make, even harming Yusuke Fujiwara." Honest's eyes widened when he said that as Banner coughed once again, "I had to deceive you and harm your loved ones, I hope that you can forgive me, but if you don't, I perfectly understand that, but please, take this Emerald Tablet."
"But that's your book." said Jaden as he knelt down.
Banner pushed the book with all the strength he had in his body that he had, pushed the book towards Jaden as he took it, "It's mine no longer," Jaden grabbed it as then he saw how he turned into rocks, "as I am no longer on this Ear-" he couldn't finish his sentence as they saw Banner's body crumbling into pieces.
"PROFESSOR BANNER!" Jaden shouted as he saw his professor crumble into dust as he turned his eyes towards the mummy and turned into dust as well.
He looked at the dust of his Professor and the book in his hands, and he focused everything on the book he had in his hands, ignoring a small ball of light appearing from the dust to which Pharaoh approached it and ate it.
He couldn't believe it. His professor was dead.
It was hard for him to do so, but he had to go on and fight the person that started the whole Shadow Rider thing, even if it costs his life in the process.
Honest appeared in front of him as they could hear Celina slowly, but surely, waking up. He looked at him in the eyes, "I will tell Master Fujiwara about this threat and the others as well. Alright?"
Jaden looked at him and nodded. "Alright, and I think they are going to show up sooner or later."
Honest nodded again as he disappeared.
He walked towards the only Slifer Red female as she opened her eyes and saw Jaden, with one of his hands under her head so she could look better, as soon as she woke up. "Well this is a way to wake up with a bad headache." she said as she observed the room and saw the massive pile of sand, "Hey, what is the massive amount of dust and sand here?" she asked as she looked at him.
Jaden opened his mouth to answer the question, but he really couldn't explain how that really happened. How could you say that you defeated the final Shadow Rider that was also your Professor which then warned him about a worse foe?
He had to be truthful to her in another time, but now it isn't the right time, "I defeated the Final Shadow Rider." he said, shocking her.
"Well good job, but why isn't he there other than a massive pile of dust?" she asked him.
"That's what happened after I won the duel." he said, again shocking her.
"Wait, you killed him? Hardcore, Jaden. I didn't expect that from you." she said with slightly widened eyes.
"Didn't you turn the Venom Rider into nothing but a pile of ash?" he said as Celina opened her mouth, only to shut it.
"Touche, but no one could expect that from you." she said as Jaden looked at the dust of Banner.
"Well, it wasn't from one of my monsters that did that, it was after the duel as it was one of the conditions that we set up." explained Jaden as he half lied.
"Oh. Well I guess that makes slightly more sense."
"Yeah." Jaden chuckled a little bit, but was still thinking about the words of Banner. Sure it did mean that he was lying to his student, but those words still echoed in his mind, how he didn't win those duels all with his own skills and how they let him win.
He knows that isn't the case, but it still hurts him a little bit.
"Hey, Celina."
"Hmm?" She looked at the brunette.
"Do you think that I am a good duelist?" he asked as she looked at him like he grew a head.
"What?" she asked as Jaden tried to explain.
"Well you see-"
"No, no, no. What the hell did you just say?" she asked him as he looked at her confused, "Did you just ask me to my face if you are a good duelist?"
"Yes?"
"Are you kidding me?" she asked him as he tried to open his mouth, but closed it when she began telling him, "You are a goddamn idiot if you think that you are the opposite. You have defeated a Pro Team, almost everyone in the entire school, well except Zane and Yusuke, and one of the Shadow Riders, and you are the only Key Keeper left. What do you think?"
Jaden opened his mouth, but he looked at her and closed it, "That's what I thought. You are one of the greatest duelists I have seen, well except Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, a couple of Pro Duelists that I can't think off right now, Zane, Yusuke, Chazz, but you get the point. You are a strong duelist and one that anyone will be happy to duel." she said as Jaden smiled.
"Thanks, I really needed that right now." said Jaden as Celina smiled.
"Anytime." she said as they continued to look into their eyes.
Their eyes locked into each other. His brown eyes with her green eyes, as they could see stars in them as they could get lost into each other's eyes. And it was quiet for them, sweet silence as nothing stopped them from looking at each others gaze as they both thought it was the most beautiful things they have ever seen. They slowly went closer and closer as th-
"So, what is going on?" said Chazz as everyone else looked at him on what happened or continued to look at them.
"Dude what the hell?"
"You just ruined the moment."
"Not lischus man."
"Congrats, Chazz." Syrus said sarcastically.
"Out of all the people she chose to have feelings for, she picked the Slifer Slacker."
"I am surprised as well, but for Jaden this time."
"I didn't know she liked that position."
Celina looked at the source of the sound and then back to Jaden as she realized in what position they were in. They were only inches apart, his hands either behind her back or on her stomach and her hands on his chest.
Jaden looked at them with a happy expression as he was the only one not to understand what was going on. Before he could say anything, Celina pushed him away from him and stood up.
Her face was as red as her jacket and begun walking away from them with an angry glare that no one could be scared off when she is red as a tomato, even Syrus had a grin when she did that.
Before she left the same room as them, she said, "It's not what it looked like." and went outside.
They all looked at each other, even Crolwer and Sheppard, and then back to Jaden, who looked confused, as they made a silent agreement of some kind.
"What's going o-"
"We'll tell you when you are older." they all said at the same time.
"Why do they keep telling me that?" said Jaden as he didn't know why they kept telling him that.
Once they were done making that agreement, they all walked up to Jaden and congratulated him on defeating the last remaining Shadow Rider which he was happy to get praise, but didn't shy away from telling them that it wouldn't have been without them trying their best against them.
They, or Yusuke, Zane, Chazz and Sheppard, heard the news from Honest that an even more powerful threat will come to Earth, a person that is the true leader of the Shadow Riders, the one that made them into the Shadow Riders, but they didn't get the name or what he looked like, or anything in fact.
It would be hard for everyone involved, but they had to try and fight against the true evil of the Shadow Riders, no matter how hard it would be.
Sheppard then heard ringing from the phone and saw that it was from Clarrisa Turner, one of the doctors of Duel Academy and she told him that the Shadow Riders were awake, or the ones that were hospitalized which made everyone, including Syrus and Chumley, run towards the place where the two were.
Currently in the room of the Shadow Riders, Chumley and Syrus were at the door, blocking the only exit away, Zane and Yusuke were near the windows, Chazz and Celina near Kite's bed on both sides of the bed, the same could be said for Alexis and Jaden near Dennis' bed, Bastion and Crowler in the middle of both beds with Sheppard behind the good doctor and Ra Yellow, all, sans Sheppard as he had his hands behind his back, with their duel disks ready.
"Y'know, I think this is a bit too much for only two people." said Dennis as he looked around the room.
"Yeah, I have to agree with my friend, this is overkill." said Kite with his arms crossed.
Sheppard laughed, a friendly one, "Well you can't be too careful. I hate to sound untrustworthy, but you guys are Shadow Riders and we can't take any chances."
"I guess that sounds fair, what do you think, Kite ol' buddy, ol' chum?" asked Dennis as Kite shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't mind, as long as they don't attack us when we are doing anything." said Kite as Dennis nodded with that.
"Oh, yeah. I would hate it if that would happen."
"Oh don't worry, they won't do anything to you, as long as you aren't doing anything harmful. Am I right, everyone?" he asked as everyone nodded at the same time. "You see? Now, I want to ask all of you something if that is fine with both of you."
"I am cool with it."
"Go ahead."
"Now, the first question is who is the leader of the Shadow Riders?" asked Sheppard as both of their eyes widened when they heard it.
Dennis rubbed the back of his head when he heard it as he then looked at Kite, who looked at him at the same time, he sighed, "I…the thing is…we can't remember it quite well."
"What?" asked Bastion.
"What Dennis wanted to say was that we don't know his name or how he looked like since Amneal," Jaden felt uneasy when he heard that, "told us the reason why he would go last is because he would wipe away all of our memory of the leader of the Shadow Riders."
"So what you are trying to tell us is that before you dueled us, you remembered how he looked like and his name, right?" asked Zane as both of the Shadow Riders nodded.
"What do you two even remember of the Shadow Riders?" asked Alexis.
"Well, the names of our defeated comrades, their decks, how they looked like, everything about from what we have learned honestly." said Dennis as Kite finished.
"Not to mention our previous lives and the reason why we became Shadow Riders in the first place." said Kite as all of them felt like they were all telling the truth.
"The only thing we can't remember is the name of the leader, his reasoning on why he became the leader, why he wants the Sacred Beasts, how he looks or even his deck." said Dennis as Kite nodded.
"Everything is a mystery to us as it is for you. We apologize." said Kite.
"Oh no, that's quite alright and understandable." said Sheppard as he nodded along. He was sad that almost all of his questions couldn't be answered in any way due to Amneal, but at the same he didn't want to push their keys to the point they would be angry.
"Wait I have a question!" said Chazz as they all looked at him. He looked at Kite, "Why did you hold back during our fight?" he asked as everyone else that wasn't Kite all asked themselves one question, "Seriously?"
Kite, to everyone', even Dennis', shock, looked away to the ground as he could tell Galaxy-Eyes looked at him, "It's because you remind me of my younger brother."
"What?" everyone asked as they all looked at him.
Dennis realized what he meant as he was the only one of the Shadow Riders that Kite told his reasons why he became one and vise versa, and smiled.
"You have a brother?" asked Chumley in shock.
"Yes," Kite's eyes saddened when he remembered his younger brother, "You remind me how he had a good heart, how determined, how he cared for their loved ones and always wanted to their older brother." he said as Chazz looked away from embarrassment from all of those words.
"But wait, if you cared so much about your younger brother, why did you become a Shadow Rider?" asked Celina as Kite and Dennis looked at each other and nodded to each other.
"I guess we have to tell them." said Dennis as he began his story why he became a Shadow Rider and then Kite did as well afterwards.
They were all shocked when they heard for them as they continued heard how one was an innocent child like them, and how one single mistake ruined their entire life as it resulted in them being kicked out from their own home, not even being called their own child and how the other had to do everything in order to protect his little brother from everything and the road he took to protect his baby brother from a sickness.
They all realized that they were just like them. Innocent children that were taken from life's cruel fate on all of them and how it could affect their lives.
They were good people, but were destroyed by life's cruel fate on all of them.
They all looked at each other, and with glances knew what they were thinking off. At the same time, they stopped their duel disks from working as a sign of trust.
"It seems that we have taken a wrong turn and we do apologize in the situation that we both placed you in." said Sheppard in the most sincere voice possible. "As a sign of trust, I will allow both of you until the graduation duel, access to all of the necessary parts of shelter and being on the island as well. Around the time of the graduation duel, we will find something that both of you can work under. As either an assistant, a student or a Pro Duelist. You name it."
He said shocking the former Shadow Riders, "But, you will be around at least one of the Key Keepers at all time during that time to see anything weird around you too so we can fully trust you two." he said as they understood what he was talking about.
"So, do you accept?" said Sheppard as Kite and Dennis looked at each other and nodded.
"We would love that." they both said at the same time as unknowing to all of them, but someone part of the school is scheming near them in Domino City.
Ready to strike any moment.
Authors Note:
So guys, we did it, we reached a quarter of a hundred chapters, 25 chapters and still growing the fact that we've reached this number in such a short amount of time is just phenomenal, I'm-*Gets hit with a stick* NO! You go back where you belong 2020 me that was obsessed with Pyrocynical's content!
So anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the duel and the chapter and what a way to start the NEW YEAR! 16k words, one of my bigger ones, and I am proud of it! I am so glad that there are no more long due- *Looks at Chapter 27 and the finale* Aww, crap baskets.
This duel took me A WHILE to write since I do not know how people duel with these types of cards and I hoped that you guys enjoyed it.
Banner was a character that I actually really enjoyed when watching and seeing him as the final Shadow Rider in canon was honestly a nice twist that I didn't see coming when I was little, but the hair and how he sounds now, I was an idiot for me to think about so late. I think that he was a pretty hard opponent and I did enjoy his duel with Jaden, and he was the Shadow Rider, other than Yuri and Kite, I had the most fun writing.
Sorry that it took me this long, I had to update my VRAINS story, but you will get another chapter next week (I hope.).
I hope you guys enjoyed the Jaden-focused chapter since I had way too much fun writing about my boy like this since he is my favourite character of all time.
I am on currently Episode 217 on Naruto: Shippuden, and soon it will be WAR time! EIther I will hate it or love it. I love Sasuke Uchiha as a character.
I do have ideas though: one is a Sasuke in My Hero Academia, with changes to the original canon of MHA, and one is a Fusion Traitor Zane, which is what if Zane was actually in Arc V instead of just being mentioned once. I would like to write the latter, but then again, I have to write Yuya, which you should know my opinion on him.
Also, what monsters do you want to see in the graduation duel between Zane and Jaden? I will take any suggestions!
I think that is about it so see ya!
Made up and Altered Cards:
Gren Maju Da Eiza: I AM SO SORRY FOR MAKING A MASSIVE MISTAKE IN THE OTHER CHAPTER! I made him gain 400 for every, not just yours.
Golden Homunculus: The stats from the Anime, summoning condition from TCG.
Hero Flash!: Summons any Hero, instead of normal monsters, but still has the attack directly effect.
Dimensional Force: Continuous Spell - Any monsters sent to the graveyard are banished instead. Your monsters can not be effected by other monster effects. (Quick Effect) Tribute this card and another Spell card on your field so all of your monsters can not be targeted for an attack or effect, but your opponent can attack you directly.
Hero's Backup: Quick-Play Spell - Tribute any Hero that has attacked and special summon an Elemental Hero monster from your Extra Deck. You can not special summon, activate effects or declare attacks other than the special summoned monster. If you control another monster when you activate this card in your Battle Phase, the effect of that monster can be activated during the Battle Phase. The Special Summoned monster is destroyed during the End Phase of the turn it was summoned.
