***Avengers Mansion***

The ride over was a lengthy one. After dropping Darcy and Ian off at an airport in New Jersey - and a quick exchange of goodbyes - it was a clear shot to Upstate New York and the Avengers Mansion.

Once there, the reunion between the teammates was great. From the best friends to the different young couples, the joy and smiles were all around as they were all back together again. There were also grownups, naturally. Namely, Bruce Banner - aka the HULK - as well as his now wife, Betty Ross-Banner. They had gotten married last month, and now we're living happily in the mansion. The Stark family had also dropped by. Tony Stark(the Iron Man) and his wife Pepper had come to drop off little Morgan to be with the other young ones.

Granted, she was still very young(just hitting nine years of age), but there was no greater friends she'd want to be with than the Next Avengers team. Especially if Petter was going to be there.

Aside from them, Torunn was especially glad to see her female team members. When they all saw one another, squeals and screams of glee filled the halls of the mansion.

Kate - "Tori!"

"There's my favorite warrior princess!" Ava.

"Hey, girrrrl!" Riri.

And the rest of them all joined in until it was one big group hug. Oh, how Torunn had missed them, her sisters-in-arms. It had been forever since "the girls" had all been together. And now they were!

"It's so great to see you girls again," Torunn said sincerely.

"You too, T!" Cassie replied with a smile.

"Ladies, the weekend awaits and our boys are going out," Nikki stated, "let's get this party started!"

They all cheered in agreement and went to their rooms and unpacked their bags.

When all their things were put up, they went into the living room and chopped it up. Since they were alone and the "men" were gone, the ladies could have "girl talk." They talked about their lives since they had been apart, body counts(as in catching bad guys. Get your mind out of the gutter πŸ˜‚), and also relationships.

"So, Ava, how are things with you and Peter?" Riri asked the feline heroine, a teasing look on her face.

This question gained the attention of all the girls.

"Yeah, Ave, how's that going?" Kate asked in equal interest.

"Hold on!" The latina countered, chuckling at this, "How is it we always start with or circle back to me and my love life?"

This sent a giggle throughout the group.

"Because you and Peter are, as you guys say, goals!" Torunn said.

"And you and Jamie aren't?" Ava countered.

"She has a point," Viv added.

"True, but you and Peter are the oldest couple in our team," Cassie stated, matter-of-factly, "Soooo?"

Seeing that there was no getting out of it, Ava did her dramatic sigh and eye roll and answered.

"We're doing great." She finally said. "We love spending time together when we're not fighting or in danger, and...well, we're in a great spot. That's all I'm going to say on that."

They all took that in and commended Ava. They were all happy that her and Peter's relationship was going well. The conversation then moved on to Torunn and Jamie's relationship, which made the princess blush, but she still obliged.

"Like you, I think we're in a good place." She admitted, "the time apart is rough, but it's always great when we come back together."

Almost all of them agreed as most of them had boyfriends that were in different states, and for some, different parts of the world.

And as they continued to talk, the time passed on and soon, the men of their team - along with Korg & and Miek - returned with the makings for their food. The girl talk was halted and they all went to the kitchen and prepared snacks for themselves. Once they had these, they returned to the living room and waited for their entertainment.

"So what're we watching?" PJ asked excitedly.

Using a random gaming poll wheel Peter found online, they spun for a movie and it landed on...

"Hanna!" Amadeus announced.

"Dang it!" Azari exclaimed, "I was hoping for Speed."

"One, two, or three?" Kate asked.

"Hey, hey!" Harley barked, "Speed 2 is not in. We do not talk about that movie. There's only one and three. Period."

"Damn right," Frankie agreed.

The back and forth soon died down and the team all settled in and watched as the movie began.

The story pulled them in almost immediately with the young girl Hanna as she went through training from her father, running from assassins, and was soon on a crazy mission to learn about her real mother.

As they watched, something caught their eyes.

"Hey Torunn, do you think Hanna looks kinda like you? Only younger?" Riri asked, speaking on it.

"Who, Saoirse Ronan?" Peter asked before taking a closer look at the blonde character.

The others did too and some were divided.

"I don't really see it," Sam said, shaking his head.

"I can," Kamala countered, "definitely in the eyes. They have the same eyes."

"If her hair was a bit straighter and Tori wasn't so muscular, then I'd say it was a perfect match." Viv stated, making her observations known.

"And the blonde hair too, that sells it even more," Kate added.

"I guess if you look hard enough, then yeah, there is something there," Peter finally admitted. "What do you think, Jamie?" He then asked, looking over to his younger brother.

The young captain was surprised to be asked but still did. "They're both fighters, both brave, and there is a slight resemblance, I guess. But I'm pretty sure Tori's stronger. And more beautiful."

Hearing her boyfriend say those words made Torunn blush and smile sweetly.

As for the others, some smiled while others smirked.

"That's cute," Amadeus said.

"Kiss up!" PJ said, laughing at them.

A few more laughs were shared between them all before they turned their attention back to the movie.

A little later, as the movie ended, the group began to feel sleepy. Rather than going upstairs, they all decided to crash in the living room that night. The good news was they already had their pillows and blankets with them, and couch cushions for those who didn't have pillows.

Since sleep evaded them a little longer, they flipped channels and watched TV until the majority of them fell asleep. It was a nice scene, all of them together like this, especially the couples. Ava was spooning Peter, Cassie was cuddled up to Harley, Sam slept peacefully on his stomach while Kamala slept on top of him, hugging him from behind. There was also Viv who was hugged up with Amadeus, and Frankie who was cuddling with Kate on the couch.

And as for Jamie and Torunn? Well, they were the only ones still awake. Sleep wasn't too too far from them, but it still wasn't right there. So they cuddled together and watched the TV which had a rerun of the Golden Girls playing.

Before it caught them, Torunn thought back to what Jamie had said earlier when they were comparing Torunn to Hanna in the movie. His sweet words and hoe nervous he seemed. It might've been a little cheesy, but still cute and heartwarming to hear.

"Jamie?" She whispered to him, "Are you still awake?"

A light hum came from Jamie and she could tell that sleep was catching up to him too. Still, though, he kept awake for her. "What's up?"

"I just wanted to say thank you for what you said about me earlier. "

It took a moment as Jamie thought back and remembered himself. As he did, a sheepish look and feeling came upon him. "It was cheesy, wasn't it?" He asked, a nervous grin there too.

Torunn feigned deep thought before pinching her fingers to say, "Just a little bit."

The two laughed at that, but kept it quiet so as not to wake their friends.

"But it was still sweet, and how you said that I was a fighter too, and brave. It's that I've had worries about and strived to do with all my might. As a warrior, as the daughter of Thor, an Avenger...all of it. And to hear you say that, well... it's nice to know someone else thinks that."

Hearing his girlfriend speak, Jamie was taken aback by her words and the weight and sincerity of them. He had no idea he had affected her that much, but apparently, he did. And to know he had done so, thus gave him strength too.

"I definitely see it, Torunn." He finally replied, "And I'm not just saying this as your boyfriend, but as someone who cars for you and doesn't want you to feel down, you are stronger than you know. And it's that strength you show that comes from the love you have and show for us. Your family and friends...that's what makes you mighty, Torunn."

Now, it was Torunn's turn to be surprised. Jamie definitely had a way with words, and it sure hit hard. So much so that tears were coming to her eyes, these mixed with the shaky smile she had, adding to her joy.

"I love you, Jamie!" She sniffled.

Her captain, tearing up himself, cupped her cheek and wiped away her tears. "I love you too, Torunn."

Nothing more was said as the two leaned forward and pressed their lips to one another. Into that kiss was all the love and devotion the two could give one another. They were two vibrant spirits who charged one another up with love and care. Even more so for Torunn since she had lightning in her veins.

The kissing slowly subsided, and the two resumed cuddling as sleep soon took them.

And as they slept, they knew. This was their life, their love, their family.

***New Asgard***

The night went on and most of the townspeople of New Asgard had gone to sleep. Guards stood in their positions around the Thor-Foster household while inside, the king and queen slept soundly in their bed.

Since their daughter had gone away, they had the place to themselves, aside from Erik. But he mentioned he would be out for the night and would return in the morning. This gave the couple a chance to enjoy a night of passion and romance. It had been a while since they had done so, but now, the after effects of it were taking place as they continued to sleep in peace.

However, that peace was disturbed for Thor as he began to fidget and feel irritated in his sleep. Something within him wasn't right.

Then suddenly, a voice called to him.

"Thoooo-ooor." The voice spoke in a sing-songy tone, almost as it were teasing him. Again, it called. This time, louder. "Thooooo-oooor!"

It caused the God Of Thunder's eyes to pop open and he shot up from his slumber. His head swiveled around the room, looming for whoever the voice might belong to. But he saw no one.

Perhaps it was just a voice from his dreams. That's what he surmised as he rubbed his eyes before slowly sinking back into bed.

But as the night went on, the calls from his "dreams" kept on, and only got stronger.
