Christian Memorial:

It was the morning of Sunday, September 13, 2020. At the Davidson's mansion, everyone was wearing their best suits and dresses, waiting for some familiar friends of theirs to show up...

Mary: (excited) Wow, are Shimmer, Shine, and Leah coming with us to church today, Aunt Zeta?!

Zeta: Yes, Mary, they'll be coming here soon.

William: Well, I hope they don't show up late!

A flash of light came into the living room at that moment. It was revealed to be their friends, Shimmer, Shine, and Leah, wearing their best dresses...

William: (looked nervous, and awkward) Oh, yeah, I believed you'd come on time.

Everyone got a small chuckle out of that...

Leah: Anyway, it's a great pleasure that you and your family invited us to go to church with you today, Zeta.

Zeta: Yes, the service today is a dedication to an important and tragic anniversary.

Marlin: That would be September 11.

Shimmer: I heard about that day. Leah and Zac had told us about how those pilots had flown into the World Trade Center that day, killing everyone who were inside it.

Shine: As I remember, it was a horrific event for the victims' families.

Leah: Me and Zac haven't been born yet when the event had happened, but we have watched news stories about it every year on that date. It certainly affected the families of those victims.

Marlin: I know how they felt.

William: Is everyone present and accounted for?

After everyone replied, 'Yes!', William then replied, 'Alright, then, let's go to church!'

Marlin, Zeta, (who was holding Morain) along with Leah, the Davidson family, and their genie friends went in the family's limousine and Marlin's car, separately, so everyone could get to church together.

Marlin had Zeta, Morain, Leah in his car, followed the limo with the Davidson family and genies on the road. They soon arrived at the Paradise Valley Baptist Church, and everyone got out of the limousine and car when they got there...

William: Well, here we are.

Shine: (realizes something) What, why didn't we eat any breakfast before we came here?

Mary: Shine, they have breakfast here.

Shimmer: Wait a second... churches serve breakfast?!

Leah: Yeah, if you get here early enough.

Zeta: I've been to church a few times myself, and they have food and drinks for breakfast, every Sunday morning before the service.

Shine: That's great, because after skipping breakfast, I'm really hungry now!

Everyone giggled at what Shine had said. After everyone went inside, and were greeted by the church usher, they went to the breakfast tables. There was a buffet of eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, (w/butter) breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cinnamon rolls, donuts, snack cakes, milk, juice, hot coffee, and iced coffee. After the humans and magical humanoids ate and drank as much as they could, they went to the church nave where the main service was held. Many people stopped by, and greeted the gang, and in response, they greeted them back. Before the service started, a conversation between them happened...

Shimmer: What is it that makes people go to church?

Calady: Many things. Lots of people come to church before their Christians.

Mary: (excitedly) Like us!

William: Additionally, it could be because some people feel guilty about some bad things they've done in the past, and come here to ask the Lord to forgive them for their sins.

Zeta: (sighs) Yeah, that's one reason why I came to church those few times.

Marlin: Plus, some people attend just because they like learning about the Lord and reading the bible.

Shine: Oh, so it's not just above breakfast?

Mary: (shakes her head) No, Shine, it isn't.

At that moment, the morning service began. The members of the church choir walked onstage. The people walked to the two rows of pews at the back of the stage, and got their songbooks out, then turned their books to the song the service with open with that day, 'God Bless America.' The church choir sang the song proudly in front of everyone else. After the choir finished, everyone clapped for them, the head pastor stepped over to the front podium...

Pastor: Good morning, welcome to Paradise Valley Baptist Church! How are you all doing this fine day?

Everyone in the auditorium cheered, then the pastor replied, 'Today, we'll be talking about the day that changed the world forever: September 11.'

Everybody looked at each other in silence, and then listened to the pastor speak in a more serious tone.

Pastor: On September 11, 2001, the world was changed forever. There was an attack on the World Trade Center towers, which killed everyone who were inside them. The news stories that were shown were a big, sad, emotional time for everyone involved. We've got videos of the events that we're gonna watch, so please be silent, and remember the victims of that tragedy.

A screen came down from the ceiling down to the stage. At that moment, the lights in the room went off. Video coverage of news stories on the event on what happened that day were playing on the screen. Everyone was emotionally watching silent, especially the Davidson family, Zeta, Marlin, Leah, and her genies. After the video was over, the pastor came up to speak...

Pastor: So, do you understand how important and emotional those events were?

Everyone nodded, including the gang. Afterwards, the church choir came up again to sing another patriotic song, 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.' After they sang the song with heart, everyone clapped for them again. Then the pastor announced a small intermission, which the gang then went in the hallway, and talked about the experience in church...

Calady: Are you enjoying this experience so far?

Shine: Yes, Calady. I certainly didn't know before why many people do go to church, but after seeing the video of the tragedy, and hearing the pastor speak about it, I'm beginning to understand it.

Leah: It's very important to pray for the people you loved and lost.

Shimmer: It may have been dark when it happened, but tears were falling down from my eyes while I was watching that video. (sniffles a bit)

William: Yeah, it was so touching.

Mary: Don't you mean very touching, Dad.

William: (clears his throat) Oh, right. That's what I meant.

For a few moments. they all bowed their heads down silently to remember the victims of the tragedy. When breaktime was over, the gang were called back when the service started again. As soon as everyone was sitting down, the pastor spoke...

Pastor: This is a hard day for the families of those people. The best that we can do is pray for them.

After the pastor said a prayer, to which everyone joined in it with him, a collection plate was passed to different pews to collect money from the churchgoers. When the plate got down to the team's row, Calady, William, Marlin, and Zeta each donated a dollar, while Mary, Leah, Shimmer, and Shine each donated 50 cents. Afterwards, the pastor began the day's lesson, and told everyone to turn to the Genesis chapter in the bible. As Leah, Shimmer, and Shine read the bible, and listened to the pastor, they were motivated and really happy upon listening to the whole listen. Then, after the lesson, everyone stood up, as the pastor told everyone that if anyone had loved ones to pray for, to come to the altar, and kneel down on the floor by the stairs to pray. The team of humans and magical humanoids came onstage and kneeled down on the floor, because not only did they have loved ones to pray for, but also for the victims of the September 11 tragedy. After the church pianist finished playing on the piano, the pastor spoke up one more time...

Pastor: Thank you. I hope you enjoyed coming to our church today. Please be nice and respectful to one another. Please sing along with us while we play our closing song, 'America the Beautiful.' The pianist played 'America the Beautiful' on the piano, and everyone in the room, including the humans and magical humanoids, sang the song, proudly while holding their hands on their hearts. Then, everyone was dismissed. While outside, the team were talking about what a good time church had been...

Calady: (sweetly) So, Shimmer, Shine, and Leah, how did you like church?

Shine: I have to say... it was zahra-mazing!

Shimmer: Yeah, it certainly was cool know that many stories are from the bible.

Leah: We might come visit again someday.

Mary: (giggles) And we'll be ready when you are!

The team chuckled, before they all went into the limo and the car, then drove all the way back home.
