The idea of a Percy Jackson and Star Wars crossover has been bouncing in my head for a while now. The biggest problem I faced was how to make it work that made it worth reading. This is what my brain came up with. Now please understand that this is one of the most difficult ones I am writing so updates will be insanely slow. This chapter alone took a month to go from brain to paper. Hopefully this will mean that the story will be enjoyable for you all.
I apologize for not updating any of my stories for a few years now. Life happened. As of now I am in the Army and my free time for this and other personal things in my life have been cut short by a lot. Especially as a Mechanic.
I own neither Percy Jackson nor Star Wars. Even if I did, I would still be the same person that I was before. My mistakes however would be the stuff legends are made of. This is a parallel universe that happens to have PJO and SW in it. If things are different, it's because I chose it to be that way. If this upsets you to the point of becoming a complete Keyboard Warrior Karen Edition…see yourself out. This story is obviously not for you.
Chapter 1
Revelations of a Godly Nature
"Congratulations are in order Knight Jacks," Shak Ti said with a gentle smile. "Thank you Master," the young man replied with a bow, "it was your guidance that helped me through my trials." "To be a Consular so young," she continued merely nodding at the compliment, "do not grow arrogant with your accomplishment." "Yes Master," he bowed again, "If you would excuse me. There is a planet that wishes to negotiate a neutrality agreement for the war." "Very well," Shak Ti bowed, "The Force be with you and guide you young man." "With you as well Master." He bowed again and headed towards his ship. "Jaks," Shak Ti addressed the trooper next to her. "Yes General," the clone replied. "Watch his back," she said then raised an eyebrow, "and try to keep out of trouble." "We don't go looking for trouble ma'am, it finds us just fine on its own." Jaks laughed as he followed the younger jedi to the ship with a small squad.
Time skip
Jaks ran into the cockpit of the ship and slammed the blast door shut. "What is the matter Jaks?" the young jedi asked. Jacks suddenly grabbed his heart and fell to his knees, "Why," he cried, "why are they all dying?" "Order 66," the clone replied, "Only to be called if the Jedi turned traitor to the Republic." Jaks took a knee and placed a hand on the jedi's shoulder. "You are no traitor that much I know. The others…the others however it was like someone flipped a switch in their heads. They are coming to kill you." Jacks stood up shakily, "There must be a way to discuss this. I would rather avoid bloodshed." "I don't think so sir," the clone answered pointing his blaster at the door as sparks began to fly along the cracks. "I dislike violence," the jedi stated igniting his saber, "but sometimes an ocean needs stirred by the storm." The blast door opened and the two jumped into the fray saber and blaster creating a deadly dance of controlled chaos.
The boy and the clone moved the last body into the escape pod and closed it. "I am sorry brothers," Jaks said. His hand paused over the jettison button. "It is okay Jaks," the jedi said. He placed a hand on the clone's shoulder, "They rest peacefully in the Force." Jaks pressed the button and the pod shot off into the vacuum of space. "Thanks," the clone looked over and smiled, "little brother." Jacks lightly punched the man on the arm, "Come on big bother, lets get out of here before someone picks up that signal."
"So, why exactly are we plotting a course to the depths of wild space?" Jaks asked. "The Force showed me a vision," Jacks answered while plugging in the coordinates, "A planet consumed in war if a lightning bolt is not found and returned." "A lightning bolt," the clone said incredulously. "I am confused as well Jaks," the jedi replied, "as far as I am aware lightning is a natural phenomenon and cannot be stolen." Jaks looked at the coordinates and whistled, "We are in for a long fight sir." "Well," Jacks replied smiling, "it's a good thing we are well stocked then."
A klaxon blared as red lights flashed. "Why is it," the clone was yelling, "just when things are running smoothly; a krayt dragon shows up and ruins our day." "That was one-time Jaks," the jedi laughed, "besides, we are here aren't we?" "I don't think crashing counts as arriving." Jaks said strapping in. "You worry too much," the boy said still laughing. "You worry too little sometimes," the trooper muttered. The ship continued to enter the atmosphere at an alarming rate, making its way to the planet's surface.
The ship landed hard in a strawberry field, bouncing and sliding across the ground. Everyone in the vicinity scattering in any direction that could lead them to safety. The ship stopped roughly fifty feet from a gazebo where a man in a wheelchair and a rotund man with red cheeks sat in shock cards forgotten on the table. The people in the area slowly began to approach weapons drawn.
A side hatch popped open with a hiss and Jacks stuck his head out, "My apologies good sirs. It appears we had a severe malfunction." He jumped down and landed without a sound; while Jaks in full armor climbed down roughly behind him. A little astro-mech droid leaned out of the hatch whistling and chirping with urgency. Jacks looked up and called out, "I know we can't fix it R-12. Just find out what we can salvage." The droid beeped and whistled an affirmative, then disappeared back inside. Jacks turned and bowed, "My apologies again," he stated, "I am Knight Jacks, Consular of the Jedi Order." The man in the wheelchair seemed to compose himself first. "Welcome Knight Jacks," he wheeled forward and held out a hand, "I am Chiron, this is my compatriot and higher-up, Mr. D," gesturing to the rotund man. "An honor to meet you," Jacks bowed. "Finally, someone with some manners," Mr. D grumbled.
One explanation of mythology to the pair later, Jacks sat back in the chair. "So, what you are saying," he clarified, "on this planet the gods are real; and this camp is a haven for their, demigod?" Chiron nodded. "Children." Jacks finished. "Yes," Chiron answered, now out of the wheelchair and in his full centaur form, "Camp Half-Blood is where we train them to survive the world out there. Sadly, most do not survive to adulthood; those that do end up becoming famous or even changing the course of history."
Mr. D sat there and finally interrupted, "Yes, yes, now that the introductions are out of the way; what are you going to do about that?" pointing to the large ship still sitting there. "Do you have a clearing or another place we could put it while we scrap it down?" Jacks asked. 'Hmm," Chiron pondered for a moment, "yes, we do. If you would follow me."
Chiron gave out a tour of the camp. Pointing out the different training ground and explaining the cabin system as they passed them. The young jedi observed, "You have gods for every aspect of life. Yet I see no representation of death. Is there a reason for this?" "Sadly, yes," the centaur sighed, "Hades children, when they do pop up; are not the most welcome. Many of them have a death aura that they give off. Not to mention the amount of them that became dictators in history. Hades does not even have a seat on Olympus; since he only shows up during the winter solstice." Jacks was silent for a moment. "I would imagine," he answered back, "that as a deity of death, that he is kept rather busy. As for the lack of representation, I see no excuse beyond prejudice and fear. Which is no excuse at all."
"Here we are," Chiron stopped and gestured to a large track and field, "We no longer hold the chariot races due to the high injury rate." "Thank you," Jacks replied, "I will move the ship immediately." "How will you manage that?" a bodiless voice spoke up. Jacks smiled, reached over and plucked something out of the air. Suddenly a young blonde with sharp grey eyes was standing there while he held a Yankees ball cap. "The Force," he said, "mysterious it is. What most deem impossible, possible in the Force."
He turned toward the ship. "This never gets old." Jaks whispered to Chiron. Chiron gave an inquiring glance to the clone, "Do you ever take that helmet off?" "Only off duty sir," the clone replied. The young jedi closed his eyes and breathed deep. Raising his hands in a grabbing position, the ship began to shudder. Quiet and gentle the ship rose into the air and glided without a sound towards the open field. Softly the ship lowered to the ground then stilled. Jacks breathed deeply again and opened his eyes.
"Quite the talent," Chiron said. "Thank you," Jacks serenely answered, "but there are other jedi far more powerful than I," pausing he whispered, "some Sith too." "There are a few hours left until dinner," Chiron stated, "How about you join me at the Big House, and you can educate me on this Jedi Knight Order." "Of course," Jacks smiled, "However I am far from a Master or even a Grand Master, as I only recently passed my trials to become a Knight."
They entered the parlor of the Big House to see a grey-eyed woman sitting by the fire. Chiron bowed, "Mi-Lady Athena, it is an honor." Jacks gave a deep bow at the waist, "A pleasure indeed Lady Athena." Jaks removed his helmet a gave a salute, "Ma'am." "Rise," Athena said. She walked up to Jaks and began circling him. "Fascinating," she observed, "a homunculus with almost zero flaws. Tell me; who were your creators?" "Natives of the planet Kamino Ma'am," Jaks replied, "They are…were the Galactic Republic's Cloning experts." "Were?" She raised a brow. Jaks looked to the Jedi, "Would you like to field this sir?" Jacks gave a nod, "It died, in the roar of a thunderous applause." "A shame," she said sitting back down.
Athena gestured to the chairs in the room, and they moved to take their seats. She nodded to Jacks and he smiled, nodded in return, and began. "Over 10,000 years ago the first recorded Jedi can be found…." For the next couple of hours Jacks gave a history lesson on the Jedi. "For the past few thousand years the Jedi have been guardians, peacekeepers, and record keepers for all the mapped systems; working in close partnership with the Galactic Republic. That is, until a few months ago when our ancient enemy the Sith revealed themselves as the Supreme Chancellor and ordered our execution by the very troops we had led and fought with."
Athena glanced at the clone trooper who raised his hands, "You have nothing to worry from me Ma'am. Whatever switch went off in their heads never went off in mine. A default I am thankful for." Jacks rolled his eyes, "You're not defective brother, you're unique." "You never did elaborate on this, Force." Athena leaned forward in her chair. Jacks smiled sheepishly, "My apologies, I'm used to teaching to people who have a general understanding of the Force." He took a breath, "The Force is a presence in all things. It flows through everything in the universe, from the smallest cell to the brightest of stars. It guides, protects, and brings life to all. That is the best explanation I can think of to those who don't know about it." Athena looked on contemplatively, sat back with a look of shock, then composed herself just as quickly and vanished in a cloud of golden sparks.
On Olympus, Athena stepped into the council chamber where the all the gods (except Hades of course) were waiting on her report. "Well?" Zeus queried. "Father," Athena spoke out, "This mortal Jacks is no threat, and neither is this Jedi Order he is part of." "Where does his power come from?" He asked. "I believe that somehow mortals in other parts of the universe have developed the ability to tap into the power of Chaos himself." She paused and gained a dark look. "He allowed me without a fight into his mind. He warned me of the powers of a group called the Sith." "What are the Sith?" Ares interrupted. Athena glared at him and continued, "The Sith like Jedi tap into Chaos' power. They embrace and let every negative emotion known to control them. It fuels their abilities and selfish desires. Think on the worst of all the mortals in our planets history and combined they will not even hold a candle to the depravity of the Sith."
The chamber was filled with eerie silence only broken by Hestia's soft whisper, "How bad?" Athena visibly shuddered and spoke in a hoarse voice, "One Sith was capable of draining the very life from a planet itself. Another created a virus. Rakghouls, Hades himself would smite the anathemas without hesitation, Ancient Laws be damned." Hermes piped up, "So we may have to give some extra blessing to the mortals if they arrive. So what?" "No," Athena snapped, "If these Sith arrive will have to personally intervene and join the fight. Every pantheon will. Earth is not ready for such evils. These Sith, may even have a way to kill us personally since they can tap into Chaos' power." She clapped her hands startling everyone, "On a positive note, the Jedi is actually here to help us find the lightning bolt. Poseidon, I he also feels greatly of the ocean. He could very well be your missing son." With that the room erupted into chaos.
