It is a peaceful day under the sea as two friends are enjoying each other's company. Aries currently practicing a singing and dancing routine while his friend Flounder is currently watching him.

"I think you're doing great Aries." Flounder tries to encourage the Merprince.

"Thanks Flounder, but I have to be perfect with this." Aries responds knowing he could do better.

"Why don't you get Ariel to sing with you? You're both throwing the party." Flounder suggests.

"If Ariel sings, she's going overshadow me. All of Triton's kids can sing Flounder, but Ariel is in a class of her own." Aries responds. As if on que Aries notices his sister begging to swim up to them in a hurry.

"Aries, Flounder I found a ship I want you both to explore with me. Can you two come?" Ariel smiles at her brother and best friend. Flounder is excited and Aries feels he's practiced enough for the day.

"Sure, lead the way sis." Aries says as he and Flounder follow Ariel. The three soon reach the sunken ship and begin exploring inside.

"Gosh humans don't have a bottom half." Flounder says as the three notice a picture of a woman holding a mirror.

"Of course they do silly, her tail is ah, somewhere down here, I think." Ariel says to Flounder giggling at what he said. Aries is looking around the ship before he speaks up.

"Humans have two tails, it's one of the weirdest things I've ever seen." Aries answers. Ariel and Flounder look at him.

"Two tails, really Aries?" Flounder asks. Aries nods his head thinking again about that day. Aries hadn't gotten a good look and he was young back then, but he would never forget the day Athena was lost to the Merworld.

"Flounder look at this, humans must use this to look at themselves." Ariel calls Flounder as she rubs a mirror clearing it up.

"Why would they want to do that?" Flounder asks. Flounder then roars in the mirror and laughs at his reflection. He then continues to make funny faces. Ariel swims over to Aries who is trying to read a map that was still intact. She moves he map and discovers a magnifying glass. Ariel decides to take it with her and swims to look at something else.

Aries gives up reading the map.

"Only human thing I would want is if it could bring Mom back." Aries grabs his shell necklace.

"You can't cut so could you heal?" Aries wonders to himself. He notices Ariel and Flounder starting to leave and follows the two back home. Later in the twins' room Ariel is playing with her new treasure.

"See it makes everything bigger." Ariel explains as Flounder looks through the other side.

"Wow. What do you call this thingamajigger?" Flounder asks.

"Ah, I call it a, biggeramajigger." Ariel says. Sebastian who has now joined them looks at the biggeramajigger with Flounder. A sea slug then walks by appearing bigger through the biggeramajigger and scaring Flounder and Sebastian. Ariel laughs at the two.

"You two are afraid of your own shadows." Ariel says.

"I ain't afraid of no shadow." Sebastian says as the shadow of King Triton appears behind him scaring the little crab. Aries looks up and sees his father.

"Accept that shadow." He thinks to himself as he scoots a little closer to his sister creating just a little more distance between her and their father.

"Ariel, what is that your hiding?" Triton asks his daughter.

"Nothing daddy. Just a biggeramajigger. Oh see." Ariel says as she shows Triton the biggeramajigger.

"What I see is a human object." Triton says starting to get angry.

"Ariel, I told you not to play with human things." Triton tells his daughter.

"Ani't that the truth." Sebastian whispers to Flounder.

"But daddy it's good for something, we can use it to see little things and to find." Ariel starts but Triton is not listening.

"None of your excuses Ariel, you give it to me immediately." Triton demands.

"If you ever bring another human thing into this palace." Triton is cut off by his son.

"I brought it home dad, Ariel only had it because I gave it to her." Aries says trying to shield his sister like always. This makes the King angrier.

"Aries not this again, I know you mean well but covering for your sister when it comes to human things is helping no one."

"I understand Dad but don't be mad at her. It's my fault I'm the older twin." Aries continues to plead which has the opposite effect this time. Triton throws the biggeramajigger out the window and destroys it with his Trident.

"No." Ariel tries to stop her father but it is too late for the biggeramajigger. Ariel begins crying and Triton goes to comfort her, but Ariel just swims off. Triton turns to look toward his son but Aries also is upset.

"I'll take care of her." He says as he swims off after his sister. Flounder is the next to head off.

"Bye your majesty." Flounder says to the king.

"I've done it again." Triton says.

"Yes, your majesty. I mean well done your majesty" Sebastian agrees at first then tries to praise Triton.

Ariel is swimming off very angry while Flounder tries to catch her. Aries however hangs just a bit behind. On one hand, all Ariel wanted to do was learn which was a good thing wasn't it? But on the other hand does she not remember what humans did to their mother? What humans continue to do to the sea?

"He makes me so Angry." Aries can hear his sister talking to Flounder.

"Oh, don't be mad." Flounder tries to calm Ariel.

"Well, I am mad. He didn't even let me explain. And then he took it out on Aries." Ariel says as she swims toward, the Great Abyss.

"Ariel don't go down there." Flounder tries to warn her.

"Oh, don't do this, don't do that. Who do you think you are? My father." Ariel gets mad at Flounder.

"Gee, someday I might be a father. I might even have a daughter like. No No, its too scary." Flounder says.

"Flounder, I'm a twin, that means I might have two daughters like Ariel one day, keep the fear for someone that needs it." Aries half jokes to Flounder as he thinks about what he says. Aries loved his sister but two or even three Ariels would be too much for anyone.

"Ariel I don't want to tell you what to do but come back." Flounder calls after Ariel as he and Aries follow her.

After catching up to Ariel, Aries is floating on his back while he and Flounder comfort Ariel.

"If only he wasn't so stubborn about things form up there." Ariel says. Aries looks toward his sister.

"I'm more worried about what's down there, they say there's no bottom to the great abyss." Flounder says worried.

"Maybe it's the Kraken, or Gojira. It be cool to see a sea monster fight." Aries laughs as Flounder gets scared and Ariel smiles.

"Just joking Flounder. There is no such thing as Gojira." Aries tells Flounder as the little Fish notices something.

"Hey, wonder what that is." Flounder says as he notices a glow.

"What?" Ariel asks.

"Oh nothing, it was nothing." Flounder tries to lie but Aries knows it's already too late.

"Come one Flounder let me see." Ariel looks toward where Flounder was looking and notices the glow.

"I see it." She says as she starts to swim toward the glow.

"Me and my big mouth." Flounder says as he and Aries follow Ariel. Ariel then shivers,

"It's cold down here." She says as Aries silently agrees.

"I know its here somewhere." Ariel says as she finally finds a bracelet.

"Aries look, it like you're old bracelet." Ariel says excited to find the human object. She grabs it and swims back up. Aries notices a piece but follows his sister.

"At least she's content for now." Aries thinks to himself happy to see his sister is happy again.

"Oh Flounder, Aries its beautiful." Ariel tells the boys as she shows them the bracelet.

"You really like that thing, it just looks ok to me." Aries says.

"I don't think your father would agree." Flounder says.

"Oh look, this must be a human girl. And this must be a human boy. He's not very handsome but he looks like he has a nice personality." Ariel says observing the bracelet.

"I don't know, the humans I thought I saw didn't look like that." Aries thinks but doesn't say out loud.

"If your father catches you with this thing." Flounder starts.

"Oh, Flounder stop acting like a little Sardine." Ariel says still looking at the bracelet as she starts to put it first on her head then around her wrist.

"Who's acting Flounder responds.

"Look I made it stay!" Ariel gets excited.

"A human girl is so beautiful." Ariel says.

"I guess so, personally I'd take a mermaid any day." Aries says.

"Like Pearl." Ariel teases her brother. Aries blushes and looks away.

"Yeah, look her long her fins are, but she doesn't seem to have a tail." Flounder says.

"That's probably why she's swimming so funny." Ariel says as she begins to hum and try to copy the girl.

"What ever humans have, I told you it was two of them." Aries adds.

"I want to see what I look like with it on." Ariel says as she starts swimming back to the sunken ship from before.

"Where are you going? Ariel!" Flounder calls after her.

"The place where she can see herself." Aries says grabbing Flounder to keep up with the excited Mermaid.

Back at the ship Ariel is humming and looking at herself in the mirror.

"Ah it's getting late Ariel, we should start back." Flounder says.

"Look how it glistens, oh I wish I could wear it always." Ariel says admiring the bracelet.

"Ariel." Flounder says more serious.

"Flounder's right sis, it's time to head back." Aries adds.

"Oh, alright, you two win." Ariel says as she tries to take off the bracelet.

"Oh, no." Ariel says. Aries turns his head.

"What's the matter?" Flounder asks concerned.

"It won't come off." Ariel says still struggling. Aries swims over to her.

"Let me try." He says as he tries to pull the bracelet off.

"How did you take your bracelet off Aries?" Flounder asks.

"Magic." Is his only reply as he continues trying to get the bracelet off.

"The King would know how to get it off, he'll just blast it off with his Trident." Flounder says.

"Flounder, I can't let Daddy see this." Ariel says concerned as she tries to get the bracelet off again.

"You're right, he'll go Ariel!" Flounder yells doing a good impression of Triton. The three leave the ship swimming back towards Atlantica.

"Daddy said if I ever bring another human thing into the Palace, he'll, who knows what he'll do." Ariel says.

"But if you explain to him, it was an accident, kind of, sort of." Flounder responds.

"Daddy won't listen. Oh Flounder, what am I'm gonna do. I, I can't go home." Ariel says.

"No that's crazy talk. Look I'll tell dad I put the bracelet on you as a joke. Worst case is I get beached." Aries says.

"Aries no, Daddy said he was tired of you taking the blame for me." Ariel pleads with her brother.

"You're scared to go home and we clearly need help Ariel, if facing Dad is the worst I have to deal with the choice is simple to me." Aries adds. The group arrives outside of Atlantica.

"We can't stay out here all-night Ariel's it's getting cold." Flounder says. Ariel snaps back.

"Flounder you're a fish, you're always the same temperature."

"Getting upset with Flounder isn't going to help the predicament we're in." Aries says. Ariel struggles with the bracelet even more and then grabs a piece of coral to try and force it off which results in the coral snapping.

"Wait, your sword Aries. The sword doesn't cut people so it should cut this right off!" Ariel tells her brother excitedly.

"Yeah Aries you can do it." Flounder agrees.

"I'm not risking it. The bracelet is too close to your wrist. I don't know enough about how the sword works. What if it doesn't realize what's the bracelet and what's your hand Ariel." Aries says shooting that plan down.

"Then I need that other piece. The one that got stuck down in the abyss" Ariel thinks back to the piece she left behind.

"Bad idea Ariel, ARIEL!" Flounder calls.

"No other choice Flounder, come on." Aries says following his sister.

Aries, Ariel and Flounder return to the great abyss looking for the bracelet.

"We'll never be able to see it in the dark." Flounder says.

"Good thing I brought a nightlight." Aries says summing his sword, the sword beginning to glow it's blue color.

"Besides I know just where it is. I think." Ariel says as she looks down into the Great abyss.

"It's creepy down there, but it's the only way." Ariel says as the group swims down.

"Stay here." she tells Flounder as she and Aries continue down, Aries providing light. Ariel shivers letting Aries know they were close as he also feels a chill and then they spot the missing piece.

"There it is." Ariel says as she swims toward the small key. Ariel grabs the key and tries to pull it free but it is stuck on a coral reef. Just then a wind picks up and Ariel is caught in it. Aries sticks his sword in the side of the canyon but notices Ariel won't be able to hold on.

"Ariel, Aries!" Flounder calls his friends.

"Flounder, Aries help!" Ariel yells as she is sucked in.

"ARIEL!" Aries screams as he lets go without hesitation.

"Flounder go get my dad." Aries tells the little fish as Flounder begins to swim as fast as he can. Aries tries to swim with the current to catch his sister as he sees what looks like teeth at the bottom of the current.

Aries begins to fear what will happen if he can't catch his sister, flashes of the worst day of his life go through his mind and he promises himself never again. As Ariel tries to swim back up Aries is swimming closer to her and reaches his hand out to grab his sister. Ariel screams as the wind becomes too strong and she begins falling toward the teeth. Aries swings his sword, and a Blue colored wave of energy is fired forward hitting the teeth and making the creature retreat further into its hole.

Aries doesn't know what he just did but quickly swims toward his sister happy she's ok.

"What have you gotten us into my beautiful troublesome little trinket." Ariel says as Aries reaches her.

"Ariel you, okay?" Aries asks concerned.

"I'm ok, could have been worse." Ariel says as the flowmonster rises again, Aries's attack having only stunned it.

"Makes sense, a sword that doesn't cut shoots energy blasts that only stuns." Aries thinks to himself as he and Ariel swim away from the Flow monster.

"What was that?" Ariel asks.

"Feeding time." The two hear a voice say. A green eel boy then swims up.

"What?" Ariel asks.

"Not very bright are you." The boy says. Aries raises his sword.

"Not very bright of you to upset the guy holding the sword." Aries says. The boy gulps and changes his tone.

"It's just a joke, how'd you two like our Flowmonster. Pretty spectator wasn't it." The boy says nervous of Aries.

"It was horrible, we got to get out of here." Ariel says as she swims off.

"Oh you two will never get out of here, you can't swim fast enough to reach ti he opening between feedings. But you can live in a cave. Good luck I'm going to go watch the flow monster some more." The Boy says as he swims off.

"There must be a way out." Ariel says as she bumps her head twice. Aries follows his sister as they look at how weird the place appeared to be.

"This looks like Rock Bottom." Aries thinks to himself.

"What's the matter dears." Aries looks and sees an older woman talking to Ariel.

"Lost are you." The old woman says.

"Are we ever. Can you help us find our way home?" Ariel replies thinking the woman could help.

"Look in my sack, maybe there's a way home in here." The woman says scaring Ariel.

"No, we're good." Aries says swimming up still holding his sword. The woman sees the sword and screams.

"NO! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She says as she swims off. Aries is surprised and continues to follow Ariel.

"Ah, Hello there. Can you help us?" Ariel asks small bee like fish who look at each other and swim off.

"They're alone."

"What's the rush."

"Stay with us."

Aries sees the wired hands touching his sister and swings his sword at them.

"No leave her alone." Aries says determined to protect his little sister. Just like the old woman the hands retreat at the sight of his sword.

"Come closer, closer, closer." Ariel is afraid of the voices, but Aries just flashes his sword's glow protecting them. Ariel swims into a pink plant before she finds a cave to rest in which Aries follows her.

"This place is so terrible; I didn't go home because of you." Ariel says as she looks at the bracelet.

"And now we'll never go home again." Ariel says as she begins to cry.

"Ariel, I know it's scary but please don't cry." Aries consoles his sister.

"Aries, I'm sorry. You're only trapped down here because of me." Ariel looks to her brother feeling even more guilty.

"Well, that's not 100% true. I jumped into danger because my little sister needed my help. If any of my sisters need me Ariel, I'm there no questions asked." Aries says getting Ariel to stop crying.

"We're going home Ariel, Mertwin promise. We've never broken those to each other." Aries sticks his pinky out which Ariel takes with her own, and now Aries smiles at his sister. Thinking about all their adventures and how Aries has always been there for her, Ariel starts singing to her brother.

Ariel: There are times you drive me, shall we say, bananas
And your mind is often, no offense, aloof

Aries: None taken.

Ariel: Still whatever mess I land in,
Who was always understandin'?
Nobody else but you

Aries: Oh, your moodiness is now and then bewilderin'
And your curiosity may be, so to speak, askew!
Who deserves a hero's trophy,
As we face each cat-a-strophy?!
Nobody else but you

Both: Nobody else but you,
It's just our luck, we're stuck together
Nobody else but you,
Is crazy enough
To believe we'll come through...

Aries: Some of your choices are all, let's face it, irritating!
Ariel: And your behavior sometimes like seahorses in a zoo!
Both: But when life becomes distressin',
Who will I be S.O.S'n?!

Ariel: If you're having trouble guessing, here's a clue...

Though he seems sometimes quieted,
He's just highly animated!
And he's nobody else,
But...

Both: Nobody else but you!
We've turned into, a true blue duo!
Hard times, we've had a few...

Ariel: Like we're thrown in the deep...
Aries: Like we're tossed outta bounds...
Both: But when we start to sink,
Hey, we'd rather go down...

With nobody else, but Y-O-U!

The two-stop singing and share a laugh.

"Thanks Aries, I feel much better now." Ariel says.

"You know what will make you feel even better." Aries says.

"What?" Ariel asks.

"The Trident." Aries says as he noticed the glow from the Trident. Aries grabs Ariel's hand and begins swimming in the direction he saw the flash and just as he thought he sees Triton, Flounder and Sebastian.

"Daddy!" Ariel says excited as she swims to Triton with Aries behind her.

"Dad." Aries says as he swims behind his sister.

"Aries and my Ariel." Triton says as he hugs both his twins.

"They're safe, they're safe." Sebastian and Flounder cheer.

"I was so worried about the both of you. Why didn't you come home before you got into all of this?" Triton asks.

"Dad it was actually my fault…" Aries starts but Ariel cuts him off.

"No Aries, I'll show him." Ariel tells her brother as she looks back at their father and sticks her wrist out towards him.

"Ariel, I told you." Triton starts.

"He told you a thousand times." Sebastian finishes.

"I can explain." Ariel starts to say.

"No excuses, young lady." Triton says.

"He told her that a thousand times to." Sebastian whispers to Flounder.

"I knew you wouldn't listen; you never listen. That's why I was afraid to come home." Ariel says to her father.

"Hate to tell you but none of you are going home. You can't get past the Flowmonster. You're all stuck down here forever." The eel boy says.

"Oh no, not you again." Aries says.

"Go home young fella, you're family will be worried." Trtion says as he grabs Ariel who grabs Flounder. Sebastian sits on his crown and Aries grabs onto his shoulder.

"Guess I'm getting one more piggyback ride from my old man." Aries jokes.

"Hold on tight, both of you." Triton tells his kids. Triton then uses the Trident to increase his swimming speed as the Flowmonster begins its feeding cycle.

"You'll never make it." The eel boy says. Triton continues to swim through the Flowmonster's feeding cycle.

"Hold on, hold on." Triton tells everyone as they rise and eventually reach the outside of the Great abyss now free from the Flowmonster. Everyone is swimming away when Ariel remembers the bracelet.

"Wait." Ariel says as she is about to go back but Aries stops her.

"I figured you would need this sis, so I swiped it on the way up." Aries says as he hands Ariel the key allowing her to take the bracelet off.

"Oh, Aries thank you." Ariel says hugging her brother and kissing him on the cheek as she removes the bracelet letting it sink to the sea floor.

"Hooray." Flounder cheers.

"Yes, we did it, we did it, I mean you did it your majesty." Sebastian says as Triton looks down.

"That was great daddy." Ariel says hugging her father.

"Yeah you're the greatest dad." Aries says.

"I don't feel great you two. I feel like, I let you both down." Triton says.

"No, not you your majesty." Sebastian says.

"I made you afraid to come to me with your problems and even worse I attacked you Aries for protecting your little sister. From now on I promise to listen to both of you." Triton tells his twins.

"I'd really like that, Daddy." Ariel says.

"Thanks dad." Aries adds.

"So no matter what trouble you two are in, I want you both to know you can always come home." Triton says as he hugs Ariel and Aries.

As everyone begins to swim home Aries gets a strange feeling and turns around. Seeing nothing around he swims off with his family.

From a distance away however the cloaked individual from before is watching Aries again swim home.

"So, did you see the current I wonder, Son of Athena. Things are getting interesting."

A/N: Sorry for the long wait, I had been sick with two different colds but I'm better now. I also don't have access to the transcripts for episodes that I had been using so I'm watching the episodes multiple times through a story where as before I could rewatch an episode and get the chapters done quicker.

So, I'm sure everyone will catch it, but I put twin hints about Aries's future here.

Finally, I though the modified version of Nobody else but you would work great for Aries and Ariel here, hope everyone else liked it.
