The Specter Family Chronicles

Holiday Special Year One

Chapter Seven: Old Scores and New Memories

December 11th, 2017

Whitewater Creek Adventure Park

Whitewater, Massachusetts

The Whitewater Creek Adventure Park didn't look to have changed in almost twenty years. Harvey recalled that the Mini-Golf course looked the same as it did when they were kids, and most of the other things you could do had just been painted or fixed. Mike had never been to something like this. He remembers Trevor telling him once about one that he went to back home in New York. Mike hadn't been allowed it because his grandmother couldn't afford it, which Mike understood. He and his Grammy spent the day painting his room and watching cartoons. It was the first time they had just 'hung out' since Mike's parents had passed away, and it was one of the sweeter times that he'd had with Grammy. Trevor had of course, gone along anyway, not wanting to miss the opportunity, and had then proceeded to rub it in. Mike vividly remembers the other kids laughing at him because he hadn't gone along and feeling left out. But he didn't let him get it down. He worked hard around his Grammy's house, and the neighbourhood, and saved up enough money to go to that Adventure Park, but then no one else wanted to go because they had 'done it already', so he put the money in a special tin in his room and lied to his Grammy saying that he and Trevor had spent the day there. Mike is standing at the entrance to the park, and hears the excitement from the kids, and the challenge of the Specter siblings, to settle an old score from way back when. Lily slips up beside Mike and takes his hand, smiling when he looks over at her, then back at Harvey, who has his brother in a headlock, whilst Marcus tries to get him out of it, and Helena accuses him of 'trying to cheat'. Mike can't help by chuckle and smile. He has never seen this side of Harvey. The image of the man that he sees at work, and this Harvey have collided in his mind, and now he can't imagine one without the other. Lily calls them all to 'stop behaving like children because they're grown damn adults', and the Specter siblings run into the building, all eyeing to get their Mini-Golf gear. The kids had gone ahead to play their own game, so that the adults wouldn't have to wait for them. It was quiet at the park, they were the only ones playing Mini-Golf, so they could take their time.

Helena explained to everyone what the rules of the competition were. As the scores stood back when they were kids, she was in the lead by twelve, then it was Harvey on ten, Damien on eight and Marcus on five. Knowing Harvey, and having seen him play games, he knows that his boyfriend is competitive, but he also knows that Helena is as well, so when Molly throws out that in order for Harvey to win, he would only need two holes in one, the atmosphere changes, and the siblings seem to divide themselves. Lily holds the scoresheet, so that none of her children can cheat (it's happened before) and Mike and Molly take a seat near the first hole so that they can watch the action unfold. Peter begins commentating on what is happening, until Helena misses the first hole, and tells him to shut up. He quickly snaps his mouth closed, and goes to sit with Mike and Molly, who pats his shoulder in sympathy. Harvey goes second, and he gets the ball in straight away, Mike gives him a wink as he turns back to hi-five his little brother. After Marcus finishes his shot, the scores are tallied: Helena had two, Harvey had one, Damien had two and Marcus had two. They move on to the second hole. For the most part, Mike finds something interesting about Mini-Golf, even though he has never in his life played a game of it, nor has he ever played real golf. Molly and Peter declare that after this, they're going to have another game, where the spouses of the siblings can play, and try to beat their partners, but it falls on deaf ears, especially when Helena misses another hole and tells her husband that if he 'doesn't shut up she's going to shove her golf club where the sun don't shine', and it kind of terrifies Mike a little, because he's never heard Helena say anything like that towards her husband. Molly was smart and brought something to read, but Mike left his book back at the tent, so he settles for his phone. Whilst he has the chance, he sends a text to Rachel and Donna, asking them each how their holidays are coming along. Marcus starts shouting and cheering for himself, making everyone jump back to reality. He's running literal circles around Harvey, shouting that he 'got it in one', and then Harvey is telling him to pull his head back on and calm down. He calls him a 'Rookie', and Mike feels a little tinge of something, but pushes it aside. It's his brother after all.

'Harvey, you're just jealous brother because I got a hole in one. Ye haw' Marcus said, as they moved to the third hole, the youngest Specter was galloping around like he was riding a horse.

'So, did I idiot, or were you too busy being a fucking horse to notice?' Harvey said.

'Harvey do not swear at your brother, and Marcus, don't be a dick,' Lily said, not looking up from her scorecard, but everyone chuckled.

'Guys, can we move on please. We have a game to complete,' Helena said, as they all headed towards the fourth hole.

It was almost noon by the time they had reached the twenty-third hole. They had three to go after this. The kids and Richard had re-joined them in the final legs, and Molly had given up on being her husband's cheerleader, and was now cheering for Marcus, who was still behind. The kids, of course, bias to their parents, took their sides. Mike hadn't noticed before that the Adventure Park backs onto a plot of land that you can see the ocean from if you stand at the top. Whilst the game was going on below, he made his way over to the small viewing platform and watched the scene as the water hit the rocks below. He was taken back to the time when he was younger. For his eleventh birthday, Mike's parents had promised that they would take him to a Mini-Golf course that was near their home, and that he could bring three friends with him. Of course, he asked Trevor to come, but he didn't really know any of the other kids at school, and none of them really liked him, they were only friends with him because of Trevor, but he asked two of them to tag along anyway. He's fairly sure they only did because Trevor was there. Mike had been excited all day, then of course, it all fell apart later that night. His parents had gotten home late from work, and he was being 'a boy' and they had had an argument. His parents had sent him to his room, and of course, as a kid he'd yelled things that he didn't mean. Then his parents hadn't come home, and he was left with regret and sadness and many other emotions that he couldn't identify at the time. He'd found out later that Trevor and the other two boys still went along without him, but he didn't care anyway, because he probably would've sucked at it. His father never taught him to 'golf' or 'mini-golf'. This is the memory that occupies his mind, so thickly, that he doesn't hear his name being called, until Harvey is whispering it in his ear, making him jump almost a mile. Mike hit Harvey's chest when he chuckled, asking if he was 'in another dimension' and Mike had just joked saying that he was… it was one with a lot of hot guys and they were all shirtless… Harvey growled and picked him up, throwing him over his shoulder, and literally carried him to the next hole, then put him down, red faced and embarrassed. Molly pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, and he smiled. He does have some allies here.

When they reached the second to last hole, Lily announced that for Harvey to take the lead, he would need to get a hole in one on both holes. Helena could spring for two on one of them, but would need a one on the last one, Damien could knock Harvey out of second if he got two holes in one, and Marcus could overtake Damien if he managed a score better than four. Mike didn't understand but nodded along. Mike and Molly were sat talking, just about past games that Molly has attended, and how she thinks as they've gotten older, they've 'gotten worse and more brash'. Mike had to chuckle when Damien overheard her and 'objected' to her statement, turning to look at Harvey, who shook his head, and then whacked him, quickly moving to dodge another blow from Damien in retaliation. He had chosen to stand behind Mike, who raised his hands in front of him, stating that he was innocent. Harvey pressed a kiss to his neck and whispered that he wanted Mike to help him with this shot, because he always 'sucks at this hole'. Mike scoffed, hearing the innuendo in Harvey's statement, but not pointing it out. He said to Harvey that he probably shouldn't because he's never played before, and he doesn't want to lose this for Harvey. He had said this, just so Harvey could hear, but apparently, his brother had super hearing, and basically shouted it out to the entire park, that Mike had never played before. All the Specters, kids, and adults, turned to look at Mike like he'd grown two heads. Harvey was the most surprised, because he thought that's something Mike should've done back when he was a kid. Mike just whispered that his dad had never had a chance to teach him, and Harvey handed him the club. Mike, reluctant as ever was pushed towards the hole by Harvey. There were protests, mostly because he had seen the competition and he realises that if he stuffs this up, he will never hear the end of it. Damien explained the rules to the others, that they could sub in one member of the family to take a shot for them if they needed a break, and this shot would still count. This was against Helena's protests, even though Peter pointed out that she had done that 'heaps of times with him before'. The eldest Specter sibling rolled her eyes, then mumbled something under her breath, before her mother told her that it was in the rules. Mike felt himself heading towards a panic attack. Harvey helped him… sort of… he was being more of a dick really…

'Okay, feet shoulder width apart, you want to make sure that you look at where you want the ball to go. Don't put a lot of speed behind it, but don't make it weak either. Okay,' Harvey said, kissing Mike's neck before walking back to stand with Helena.

'Harvey, I don't want to do this. If I stuff this up…'

'It's just a game Mike. Hit the ball,' Harvey said.

'No, it's just a game to someone like me, but to the four of you… it's a competition. Do you remember what happened the last time I lost something you 'handed to me?' Mike asked, thinking back to a case they'd had a year ago.

'Hit the ball, Mike. I believe in you, and I promise I won't make you walk home… from here anyway,' Harvey said, winking at him.

Mike sighed, doing what Harvey had instructed him to do. He hit the ball and watched it bounce off the side of the little walls, and go into the windmill that took it around, then it rolled out on the other side. Damien was standing at the other end, and Mike was waiting for the moment when the other man would say that it was short, but he heard Helena shouting 'no' several times, and he chanced a look, and saw that the ball was still rolling towards the hole. Everyone was frozen, including Mike, Damien was gaping as the ball approached the hole… and then went in. Mike's mouth dropped open, and whilst the rest of the clan was cheering, Harvey ran over and picked him up, swinging him around and peppering kisses to his face. Helena was calling it 'beginners' luck', but Mike was too lost in Harvey kissing and thanking him and promising to 'reward him', that he didn't hear anything else going on. Marcus lamented after the celebration had died down, and Harvey had gone to the other end, holding onto Mike, arm around his shoulders, that this was 'one of the hardest holes to get a one on', to which Mike shrugged, and said that 'he didn't seem to have any trouble with it'. There was laughter and Marcus looked over at Mike and Harvey, who were just smirking at him, then told his brother to wipe the look off his face before it freezes like that. Mike had never felt as exhilarated as he did when he hit that ball, and sure, it's only mini-golf, but the celebration had been the best part, and of course, he knew that after the first time, it wouldn't be the same, but there was a rush going through his body… the adrenaline. Harvey didn't let him go, until they got to the last hole, and it was his turn to take his shot. Lily updated them. Helena needed to get a one to maintain her lead, but Harvey could overtake her if he gets a one. Damien and Marcus were tied for third at the moment so whoever gets the best score on this shot will move to three. The kids were cheering for their parents, Richard looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, Lily also looked as if she was over this (they've been here for almost four hours), Molly was making their lunch plans, which Mike was grateful for, because he's starving. It came down to this final hole. For Harvey to win, Helena needs to miss her first try. For them to draw, they both would need to get the same score, so both in one shot. Mike sent his boyfriend a subtle wink, telling him to think like he's a lawyer. Harvey, surprisingly, knew what Mike meant by that and nodded, the others looked at him confused. Mike just smiled.

By the time they finally reached the final hole in the course, everyone was just ready to go and eat. Helena needs to get a hole in one to maintain her lead. Peter was extremely aware of what could happen if Harvey gets in front of her, he will probably end up taking the brunt of his wife's bad mood. Molly pointed out to all of them that they're grown adults, and something this trivial shouldn't be the thing that 'tears them apart'. Richard and the kids had gone off to check out some of the things that were inside the main hall, whilst Lily sighed, and told her kids to get on with it, so they can go and eat. Helena lined up and took her shot. She got it in one. She did her little celebratory dance, then went over to wait with the others. Harvey has to get this in one to draw with his sister, and he took Mike's advice and pretended like he's at work, focused. Damien knew how badly this could end, he covered his eyes, not wanting to look at the carnage that was about to unfold. When the ball rolled into the hole in one, everything kind of blew up at that point. Harvey and Helena had drawn, both on the same score. Damien was settled in second place, after Marcus missed the first time and got a two, placing him in third. Harvey and Helena shook hands, and the eldest sibling promised that 'next year she's going to wipe the floor with him'. Harvey raised an eyebrow, smirk on face, then told Helena that she's never going to outright win again. There was a thickness in the air, then Lily shouted that she's hungry, they're going to eat. Mike waited for Harvey at the entrance, whilst Helena walked past already planning on how she was going to beat Harvey next year. Mike chuckled and made to say that perhaps Harvey should just admit defeat, but then his boyfriend kissed him, and he lost all train of thought, seemingly the same way he does when Harvey sneaks a kiss at work, and Mike is then scolded for 'not doing work'. They walk a short distance to a nice little café' that Molly had booked them a reservation in, and filed inside, going over to the table that had been set out for them at the back. The kids were on their own table, and the adults were on another. Right beside one another, so they could still see the kids, but it didn't seem like they were being misbehaved. Mike grabbed a menu, and quickly scanned it, then handed it to Molly. Harvey chuckled. When he asks Mike what he wants, he knows that his boyfriend won't even need to check the menu again. He's already memorised it.

'So, Mike, next year after you train up a bit, you, me, and Molly… we'll start out own little competition in Mini-Golf. What do you say?' Peter said, looking between the two

'In your dreams. You guys will never beat us…' Damien said, then quickly shot an apology to his wife who looked at him dangerously.

'I think that sounds like fun Peter. If not to put these losers in their places, it will just be nice to prove that they can be taken down a peg or two,' Molly replied, crossing her arms and smirking at her husband.

'You in Mike?' Peter asked, looking over at the young man, who nodded, but he didn't even know if he was going to be here next year.

Would Mike be here next year? He hasn't really thought that far ahead, especially with Harvey, because he doesn't want to get his hopes up. Usually when he does that, something comes along and squashes them into the ground. He doesn't want to put himself in the position of planning something, only to not be here next year. He agrees anyway, missing the look in Harvey's eye, or the look he shoots to his sister. The café is connected to a beautiful little gift shop, that carries nick knacks and collectibles and souvenirs. After they have finished their lunch, they head into this little shop to have a bit of a browse. Mike hasn't gotten Harvey anything for Christmas, mostly because he doesn't know what to get him, the man has everything, and of course he'll say that he doesn't need anything because he has Mike blah blah, but Mike wants to get him something special. If not for Christmas, then just to say thank you. He knows that sounds strange, but he can't bring himself to care. Mike notices something, in the far corner of the shop. It's a crystal bowl. Harvey has been obsessed with these crystals, that are meant to have like 'healing properties' and are good for relaxation and stress and all that. Mike doesn't think this one has anything special about it, but it looks pretty. One of the girls who works in the store approaches him and tells him that it's genuine crystal, producing a piece of paper that is like the 'proof that it's authentic', and shows it to Mike. Harvey wanders over to talk to the girl, and look at the authentication, then laments that the object would be 'perfect on the mantle above the fire'. Helena tells her brother to buy it, but Harvey is reluctant (he doesn't like to make silly purchases for no reason). Mike thanks the girl and moves to look at some of the smaller crystals, deciding to get a couple for Donna and Rachel, figuring the girls would like them. The others are heading back to the cars, and Mike shouts that he'll join them in a moment, then asks the girl if he can buy the bowl he was looking at and the things to go with it. He doesn't usually like to dip into his money that much, but if this is something he can get for Harvey, that his boyfriend will like, he's going to do it. The girl wraps it and puts it in a box, then puts the box in a beautiful bag, along with the other three crystals, and Mike pays, thanks her and turns to leave, only to run in to Molly, who is standing with her arms crossed, smirk on her face, eyebrow raised in a manner only learned from being married to a Specter.

Mike asks her 'what's up' and she asks him what he brought. He told her about the bowl, and that it's a present for Harvey, and she promised to distract everyone so he could get it into the car without the man noticing. Mike thanked her and followed her out of the shop. It was then he realised that Molly didn't have a plan because she literally just pushed Harvey into another shop and asked him if he could help her with something. Mike ducked into the car, hiding the bag, before Harvey returned, asking Damien what had gotten into his wife. Molly straightened her dress, then walked around to the driver's seat and got in like nothing strange had just happened. Harvey got in the back next to Mike, and they followed the others back towards the Campground. Once back at their site, there was discussion about hitting the Ropes Obstacle Course that was open, and Peter, Damien and Molly decided to take the kids, whilst the others began to tidy and pack up for their trip home tomorrow. Mike hid the bag of things he'd brought in the back of Harvey's car, hoping that the other man wouldn't see it, when they pack up tomorrow. Richard and Lilly were pulling apart some of their things, and Mike offered to help, leaving Harvey and his mother to make the food they were going to have for dinner. For the most part, Mike has enjoyed this trip. He didn't ever think he would see the day when Harvey Specter, one of the best lawyers in New York, would ever sleep in a tent. He had heard from Helena that his boyfriend had wanted to book a cabin, and that Donna had meant to do it, but she'd forgotten. Mike didn't think the woman had "forgotten" anything. Mike knows that she didn't book it on purpose, so that Harvey would have to sleep on the ground. Mike owes Donna an excessively big thank you. Helena, Marcus, and Lily were tidying up their respective tents, and packing their bags when there was a bang and a scream was heard, then Richard was shouting to Lily to get the first aid box. He and Mike had been packing up their little gazebo area thing, when one of the corners flicked up and cut Mike's arm. It was bleeding heavily, but it didn't look to be too deep. Richard grabbed distilled alcohol out of the box, putting it on Mike's arm to try and disinfect the wound. Helena and Marcus finished dismantling the gazebo, whilst Mike was just apologizing.

'Don't apologise Mike, it wasn't anyone's fault. Here, Richard take this, and help me wrap it around Mike's arm,' Lily said, wrapping the gauze around the pads they had used to stop the bleeding.

'Dad, Harvey is going to have a field day if he finds out you tried to kill his boyfriend,' Marcus joked, trying to lighten the mood, Helena whacked him over the head.

'I'm sorry Mike. Did it get you anywhere else?' he asked, Mike just shook his head?

'Okay, I think that's enough for now. We're going to have to start dinner soon. Mike, let me know if that needs to be changed, okay?' Lily said, and Mike nodded, thanking her.

It was about eight pm and completely dark outside, when Harvey asked Mike to go for a walk with him. He was holding a battery-operated lantern light in his hand, holding his other hand out for Mike to take. The rest of the family made lewd sounds as they walked off, but neither of them bothered to look back. Harvey took them down a path Mike hadn't been down before, and they walked, hand in hand, whilst Harvey held the light in his free hand, talking about their day, and Harvey's victory over his sister finally after twenty years… Mike didn't mention the whole "next year" thing that Peter had brought up. Obviously, Helena's husband saw a staying power in his and Harvey's relationship that he hasn't seen yet, but to be honest, he doesn't really know if he ever will see that power. He just takes it day by day. Harvey was talking about work, he doesn't know why, there is something he wanted to talk to Mike about, but he's nervous and when he gets nervous, he talks about work, because that's easy to have a conversation about. Mike was telling him about something that had happened with Donna, when Louis had shown up at her house and demanded that she help him out with something, which turned out to be painting his house. Harvey rolled his eyes, and grunted, then said that he was wondering why Donna was so annoyed when he rang her this morning. Mike heard Harvey mention that he had talked to Donna, but he didn't press on it. He didn't want to know what they had been talking about, usually when he does ask, they don't tell him anyway. They were almost of the river when Mike's phone finally got service and began ringing. It was Sally, his next-door neighbour. Mike had asked her to take care of his place whilst he was away, and she would only ring if there was something wrong. Harvey gestured for him to answer, and Mike did. They continued to walk whilst Mike talked to Sally. She was saying odd things, and then when Mike pressed her a bit more, she had mentioned that when she went to go and check on his plants, she had entered the apartment to find it completely empty. Mike stopped in his tracks, causing Harvey to stop and look at him, almost worried but slightly amused, which Mike thought odd. He asked Sally if she had seen who it might've been, or if he got any evictions that he wasn't aware of, but she said that he hadn't had anything from the landlord, and when she asked, Ted (the landlord) just said that Mike's lease wasn't up until the end of the month. Harvey mouthed 'what's wrong' to him, and Mike thanked Sally and hung up the phone. He told Harvey that someone had emptied out his apartment.

That's when Harvey told him that he was going to wait until Christmas, but he couldn't anymore. Mike frowned at him in confusion. Harvey grabbed Mike's hand, using it to pull him close, then wrapped both arms around Mike's waist, whilst the younger man wrapped his around Harvey's neck. Mike asked Harvey if Donna had anything to do with his apartment, and used several tactics to get the answer, but sliding his leg in between Harvey's and pressing upwards seemed to do the trick, as he moaned out the word 'yes'. Mike smirked and pulled Harvey's face close to his so he could kiss him. It was at this point that Harvey began mumbling about them being together for nine months, but that they don't live together, and that he knows he has a lot of the blame for that one, and that they both still have a lot to work through, but he doesn't want to work through it without Mike, and after this trip, he doesn't think he could ever not wake up beside him every morning. He was just babbling. Mike listened carefully. He had gotten Donna to go over and move his stuff out, so that he could ask Mike to move in with him, even though he kind of lives there, but kind of doesn't anyway. Mike pressed a finger to Harvey's lips to get him to shut up, kissed him, and then said that he would move in with Harvey, that he's been waiting for the man to ask him. In the shadow of the small light that Harvey had with him, they shared a kiss. They didn't let it get too heated, but Harvey said that he couldn't wait until Christmas, he wanted to do it now. Mike mentioned that it would be too late anyway, because 'Donna has cleaned him out'. Harvey smirked and chuckled. They continued their walk down to a small seating area in the grass near the river. Harvey… Harvey Specter… sat down in the grass and Mike sat in between his legs, leaning back against Harvey, as they looked up at the sky. It was a sappy thing to do, something they would never do anywhere else but here. But Mike couldn't deny that he enjoyed it. He did. Mike isn't sure how long they stayed there, but when they returned to camp, the Specters were sitting around, playing a game of uno. Mike and Harvey declined to join but said that they would cheer on whomever was winning. Apparently, that was Lily. Harvey wrapped his arms around Mike's waist and pressed a soft kiss to his temple.

'I love you,' he whispered in Mike's ear, sending shivers through his body.

'I love you too,' Mike whispered back, a smile spreading across his face, he loved it when Harvey said those words to him.

'Long drive home tomorrow. Then it's straight into it. We need to decorate the house and get everything ready for the holidays. I'll have an itinerary for everyone by the end of the day tomorrow,' Helena said, as she stood, obviously preparing to go to bed.

'I'm looking forward to Christmas this year,' Marcus said, throwing his last card down and shouting uno as loudly as he could.

Whitewater Creek Campground

Whitewater, Massachusetts

Mike woke to a crash from outside the tent. He sat up, immediately startled by the sound, and noticed that Harvey wasn't beside him. He rubbed his face, and pulled on a sweater, crawling over to the door, and unzipping it. The crash had come from just beside their tent, where Marcus and Harvey were obviously trying to put all their camping items away and had dropped the box. Harvey shot his boyfriend a silent apology. Mike crawled back into the tent and began packing up their bags. He figured it was better to work from the inside out, considering that they've kind of just thrown their stuff everywhere, and Harvey would probably freak out if they got back to Greystone and all this stuff was just… everywhere. His arm was a little sore, but he hadn't checked on it since yesterday. He was surprised that Harvey didn't notice it last night when they were sleeping, or this morning when he got up. Mike checked his phone, picking the time as six thirty am. They have a long drive back to Greystone. He was hoping that Harvey wouldn't be up so he could wish his boyfriend happy anniversary, but he'd just have to do that later when they got back. Mike was folding his clothes and packing them back into his bag when Harvey appeared at the door to their tent. He crouched down, asking Mike if he was okay, to which the younger man nodded and smiled, asking whether Harvey knew where the bag for their duvet and mattress were. His questions were answered when Helena threw them onto, not at, onto Harvey's head. Mike chuckled. They worked in silence to clean up everything, trying to put things in nicely, but struggling, seemingly they had brought more than they thought. Most of the trip had been spent in the same sets of clothes. There had been a small launderette at the campground facilities, and Mike had done a quick wash of their clothes two days ago, so they wouldn't need to do many when they get back to Greystone, but he still can't understand how it appears they've gathered more clothes. Mike was coming back from putting things in the car, when Molly noticed that he was bleeding. It was coming from the cut he sustained yesterday. It had bled through the layers of bandages and through the arm of his hoodie. Mike pulled his sleeve up carefully, and Molly almost gagged at the sight. She grabbed Mike's arm and pulled him over to their little camp table, undoing the bandages and assessing the damage. Mike hissed when she pressed against his arm.

The air probably wasn't helping Mike's wound, but Molly insisted that she clean it up and take a look at it, and because she's a doctor, Mike was more inclined to say yes. Harvey was coming back from the bathroom when he noticed everyone crowding around his boyfriend. He was shouted at by his mother to grab the first-aid kit on his way past, which he did, curious as to why she needed it, which was made clearer when he got closer to camp. Mike had a giant cut on his forearm. Molly cleaned it, apologizing when Mike hissed in pain. Harvey asked him what had happened, and Helena explained what had happened yesterday. Molly was angry that no one told her because the cut was deep, and it wasn't going to stop bleeding. She said she's surprised that it didn't bleed worse overnight. Mike said that might've been because he slept on his arm, which stemmed the flow of the blood. Molly said that without the proper tools, she can't see if anything is ruptured, but she's going to stitch it up, and take Mike to the doctors when they get back to Greystone. Hesitant to go against Molly, Mike just nodded, and then saw the needle and surgical thread that Molly was going to use on his arm and blacked out. He must've been caught by someone though because he didn't hit the ground. This isn't exactly how I wanted to spend my anniversary… although Harvey doesn't seem to have remembered… Mike thought to himself as he woke up, half lying on Harvey, half on the ground. His head was rested on Harvey's leg. Molly had finished her work and wrapped his arm back up. When he was lucid enough, she kicked his leg and told him that he's an idiot, and that when they get back, she wants him to go to the hospital, just to be safe. He nodded, taking the water offered to him by Richard, who apologised again. Mike told him that he was fine, nothing to worry about, and shook Richard's hand, but the man pulled him into a hug, patting his back and stating that he's glad Mike is 'alright'. Once that crisis was averted, the Specter clan went about packing and tidying up at full speed, even the kids helped. Mike was made to sit out though, which he didn't like, but wasn't going to complain about. Just on ten am, their site was now bare, returned to the way it was before they arrived, and everything was packed into cars. Helena, Peter and their kids left first, followed by Richard, Lily, Molly, Damien, Marcus and their kids. Then Harvey and Mike brought up the rear.

'Why didn't you tell me about your arm Mike?' Harvey asked as they got back onto the road with ease.

'It slipped my mind,' Mike said, as if that was the real reason.

'Nothing slips from your mind Mike,' Harvey replied.

'Yeah, but apparently things slip from yours,' Mike muttered to himself, turning to look out the window…

Okay, so he's mad that Harvey has forgotten their anniversary. But he's sure that it won't be the last time. His boyfriend doesn't really have a great record of accomplishment for remembering those kinds of things. The younger lawyer eventually drifted off to sleep, the pain medication that Molly gave him beginning to kick in. He's excited about what the rest of the holidays with the Specters is going to bring.
