I'm not sure when Mike's actual birthday is, but i remember the show mentioning something about it being in December, so I just picked the 20th, because I thought it was funny that his birthday is five days before Christmas. Happy Birthday to anyone having a birthday today, tomorrow, and for the rest of the year. Thanks for reading! JusticeIsn'tEasy0083. D

Chapter Twelve: The Secret Special Birthday

Mike's Birthday
Specter Family House
Greystone, Massachusetts
Mike was having the most amazing dream. The sensations that were running through his body were bringing him closer to the edge. The edge of pleasure. He heard himself moan, someone whispering his name, then lips against his nipples, at his neck, then against his lips, whispering his name again, as he was brought out of his sleep, to find Harvey, eyes blown, between his legs, blowing him. Mike gripped at Harvey's hair, throwing his head back in pleasure, gripping the sheets in time with Harvey's movements. The older man released him with a 'pop' and moved back up Mike's body, kissing, licking, biting, and when he connected their lips, he whispered 'Happy Birthday' into the willing mouth, Mike wrapping arms around his back, trying to gather friction. Harvey whispered that he wants Mike to come just from Harvey blowing him, and the younger man moaned his name and the word yes. Harvey moved back down to pay attention to the erection of his boyfriend. It's Mike's birthday today. Harvey had decided to wake his boyfriend like this, it is the same way that Mike woke him on his birthday, so he figures he owed one. Besides, why wouldn't he do this? His boyfriend is fucking gorgeous. He's not going to miss that for anything. The sounds that Mike makes, the way he moans his name, that deep throaty one that he reserves just for occasions like this… Harvey moved his hand to take over whilst he licked a path up his boyfriend's body, biting at his neck, nibbling at the ear lobe, pressing his fingers against the tender rosy nipples, whispering that he wants Mike to have the best birthday ever, that he's going to give him that today. He moved back down Mike's body to lick at the stick, and Mike's hand went to his hair, pushing himself into Harvey's mouth, holding for a moment, then releasing. The first time Harvey gave him a blow job, Mike almost came the minute he saw his face, eyes wide, red saliva hue around his mouth, just completely wrecked, mouth around him… Mike's back arches off the bed, trying to get more, he wants more, and he's panting now, almost begging Harvey, that's how he knows he's close, and he doesn't know how long Harvey was sucking before he woke up so he's on the edge. Harvey smirks around his dick, and Mike lets go, squirting up his stomach, almost to his neck, head thrown back, whilst Harvey moves up his body. Mike gets a hand around him and jerks him to finish himself and Harvey falls back onto the bed, letting his own orgasm take over him, before he moves to clean Mike up, then curls up to him in the bed, they kissed for a while.
They just lay there, and Harvey pulled Mike close to him, pressing kisses all over his face, and neck. Mike moves, trying to deepen the kiss, but before he can, Harvey pulls away and gets out of bed, pulling on sweatpants, and heading over to the chest of draws on one side of the room, grabbing out two neatly wrapped packages, and turning back to face Mike. He has a cheeky smile on his face, and Mike rolls his eyes, but he's smiling. Harvey figures it's safe to approach the bed. He sits the presents down on his nightstand, and gets back into the bed, sitting up against the headboard. Mike joins him, leaning into the warmth of his boyfriend, the blanket still covering his goods, because unlike Harvey he isn't half dressed. Harvey is grinning stupidly at him, and Mike presses a kiss to his neck, and then to his lips, and reminds Harvey that 'he doesn't need gifts', to which the older lawyer just places a finger over his lips, 'shushing' him, before he can say anything else. Mike rolled his eyes again. He hates having all the attention on him. He feels shy under Harvey's gaze, and his boyfriend knows that, turning his head so that he can kiss Mike. Harvey reached to grab the first present from the two, and handed it to Mike, who just looked at it like it might explode in front of him. The smile on Harvey's face is enough to make Mike keep his protests about not needing presents (because of all the things that Harvey has done for him), to himself. For now, anyway. Later, perhaps when they're lying-in bed together again, he will tell that to Harvey. Mike looks between the wrapped present and Harvey, who raises an eyebrow at him, before pushing the offending object in front of Mike. Mike picked up the present, turning it over in his hands, before bringing it up to his ear and shaking it, as if he could hear what might be in the box. Harvey just rolled his eyes, but his smile told Mike that he wasn't mad. Mike looked at it again for a moment, then looked back at Harvey. He never would've thought that this would happen to him. Harvey kisses Mike and tells him to 'unwrap the damn thing already', to which Mike chuckles and smiles. Harvey was sure that this first one wouldn't surprise his boyfriend, but the second one… he had heard Mike mention something to Donna months ago about it, so he's hopeful that Mike will love that gift. The younger lawyer pulls at the ribbon tied around the gift, and then rips open the paper.
'I know you said you didn't want anything, but I saw these things, and I had to get them for you,' Harvey said, as Mike opened the small box to reveal… a tie. He looked over at Harvey, holding it up with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. Harvey just shrugged.
'A tie? I most definitely wasn't expecting that one. Harvey, you have given me the greatest gift. You gave me you, and made me a part of your family,' Mike said, softly, though Harvey heard it
'Well then, I hope you enjoy this next one, and I promise you it's not another tie,' the lawyer said, handing Mike the second gift watching him untie the ribbon and open the box then he looked over at him, wide eyed, as if he wasn't believing that he was holding tickets to the baseball in his hands.
'W-what? Harvey are these…'
'Tickets to opening game… I heard you telling Donna you'd never been, and I thought…'
'Oh, there are two tickets… I wonder who to take with me? I bet Donna would love this…' Mike said, smirking.
Harvey attacked him, pinning him to the bed, tickling him. Mike surrendered and said that of course he was going to take Harvey, then he kissed the man, thanking him. Mike didn't need to, but Harvey knew how grateful he was, even for the tie. Once they had finished making out, Harvey got up to shower, and Mike just sat in bed, staring at the tickets in his hand, trying not to cry. His dad had wanted to take Mike to a baseball game, he had mentioned it on his tenth birthday, but it never happened. Grammy offered to take him one year, because she loves baseball as well, but it wouldn't have been the same, even though he loved his Grammy he wanted to go with his dad. He watched Harvey as he prepared himself for his shower, thinking about all the things that Harvey has done for him, or taught him, and he can't ever repay the man for any of it. Mike pulled on a pair of sweatpants and settled himself back into the bed. Harvey explained that today also marks the first day of 'Dare Week', which he isn't sure he's looking forward to. He'd been told from various members of the family, some of the past dares, which included nudity, and running down the street in the snow. He doesn't want to do that. Helena had explained that because he's new, he gets a rogue dare first up, meaning that he can't be dared on the first day, and he has one special dare that he can employ at any time, on anyone, anywhere. But tomorrow, he's fair game. The forfeits are meant to be worse than the actual dares themselves, so he's mentally preparing himself for that. He hears the shower turn on, and wonders if he should go and join Harvey, then he notices his birthday card that he never got to open. He grabs it off the nightstand and flicks it open with his finger, smiling at the front of the card. On the inside, is Harvey's neat writing, with Dear Mikey, Happy Birthday. Love, Harvey. Simple. Precise. To the point, but still loving. What more do you need? He doesn't need sonnets or poems. He isn't that kind of guy. Mike just holds the things he was given in his hands and picks up the tie again. It is a nice colour, and would probably go with most of his suits, and it was given to him by Harvey, so he will wear it… or they could use it in other ways… you know… as a tie…
With five days until Christmas, most people were trying to get their last-minute gifts or putting final touches on their Christmas displays. The Specters were preparing for Dare Week. Mike was exempt from the first day, but had been given a Rogue Dare, which he can use whenever, and on whomever he likes, until tomorrow, when he is fair game. The minute that he and Harvey got downstairs, he could sense the tension in the house. Richard and Lily sit this one out, they're the referees, and decide whether something is too outrageous. Harvey kissed Mike's cheek, and whispered Happy Birthday, before they found Helena in the living room, looking around as if someone was going to sneak up on her and pants her or something. Harvey smirked at her, and she narrowed her eyes at him, pointing a finger at her brother and reminding him of the Summer of 2010. Harvey just raised an eyebrow at her, and gave her a challenging look, the same one that Mike has seen him give to clients who are testing his patience. Damien is the Dare Master for the day, and it is his job to choose the first person to dare the other person. The kids are only allowed to dare the kids, and the adults only allowed to dare the adults. The older kids are thankful, because in other years they've been dared to do things by their parents… like washing the dishes and cleaning the house… Molly stands up in protest, saying that she isn't going to wash the dishes if anyone dares her, that's why the kids are supposed to play. But Lily told her to sit down, and she did. Mike stood beside Lily and listened as Marcus explained how the week was going to work. At some point, there would be a 'pause' then, and only then, can everyone be exempt from a dare, and no punishments can be given out. If you are given a dare, that you don't want, you can ask what the forfeit is. Then you must either do the dare given to you or forfeit. Once you have been dared, you cannot be targeted again that day. Each person will get the chance to choose one dare, and it can't be something that could get anyone hurt. Harvey winks at Mike, who smirks at him. Helena hands them all three different coloured cards: Red, Yellow and Green. If at any time you want to be tagged out, you can hand over a colour. Lily and Richard will oversee determining the amount of time. Kids get an hour each card.
'Can I suggest that we don't do anything involving nudity and snow this year?' Damien asked, shooting daggers at his brother who was laughing.
'All is fair in love and Dare Week. You chicken out, you do your forfeit. The person who completes the most Dares at the end of the Week, wins the prize,' Helena said, then she looked around the room at everyone.
'Alright Specters, Dare Week has officially begun. We still need to get the backyard ready for Christmas, so I ask you to come out and help please,' Lily said, and the others followed, all of the Specters were wary of one another.
'Is this something that everyone does?' Mike asked his boyfriend, and they began moving backyard furniture around.
'No, just our family. But it's something different. Keeps us occupied. Just remember Rookie… I'm still your boss… I can still fire your ass…' Harvey said, and Mike cheekily replied with 'just my ass?' and was smacked on the backside by Harvey, who was smirking.
Five Months Ago

Harvey Says 'I Love You'
New York, New York
Jessica wanted the best, that meant Mike Ross. The brilliant associate that had wormed his way into all their lives. They were better for it. But Harvey was kicking up a fuss that she was taking him with her and Louis to Chicago. He didn't want Mike to leave, had tried to persuade the kid to stay, but Jessica had overruled him, and he knew that Mike was only doing what she said, so he wouldn't get fired. On the day that Mike was due to leave, Harvey went to work early, not waiting for his boyfriend, not saying anything really in the morning, he didn't even kiss him goodbye. He's acting irrationally, he knows that, but after everything that Mike went through two months ago, almost losing him… its irrational, he knows that Donna has told him that since he got here, and all of yesterday. Now she isn't talking to him. Harvey sat at his desk, trying to work. He didn't look up at the sound of someone entering his office until he heard Mike's voice. Their eyes met, a small smile on his associate's lips. Jessica had told him that she needed him here to run the firm whilst she's gone, otherwise she would have to leave Louis in charge. Harvey couldn't let that happened; this was the trade-off. Mike placed his bag down by the door and moved further into the room, trying to calm Harvey's beating heart. 'It's only four days', 'I'll be back on Friday'… but it didn't help. Harvey couldn't control the rising pain that he felt at the thought of waking up tomorrow, and Mike not being there. There was also a mountain of feelings buried inside him that were threatening to come out, and he was working extra hard to hold them back. He had wanted to blurt them out when he found out that Mike was going to be okay after he got out of hospital. He had wanted to say it so many times when the young man was curled into his warm embrace in their bed. But something was stopping him. Mike told Harvey that he has to go, Jessica's waiting, that he'll see him on Friday. That he loves him. He loves him. Harvey just opened and closed his mouth; the words wouldn't spill out. Mike just smiled a small smile, reserved for the times when he knows not to push, that kind of sad, pained smile that Harvey hates. He kissed his cheek, whispered that he'll be back on Friday, and then turned around and walked out, hugging Donna on the way. Mike loves me. Harvey thought to himself. He knows that he loves Mike. He knows that he can feel it… Why can't I say it? He asked himself, but he must've said it aloud, because Donna replied.
There was a silent conversation between himself and Donna, then Harvey heard himself say it aloud, just to himself, not to anyone else particularly. He just found himself saying I love you too Mike. Donna looked over at him, and Harvey met her eyes. He had to say it to Mike. The kid probably thinks that he doesn't. He does. He thought he'd shown that throughout their five-month relationship. But the words have been sitting, bubbling, waiting to explode out of him. He has never felt about anyone, the way he feels about Mike, and he knows that this is it for him, Mike is it for him. Donna was looking at him, then he stood and told her to call Ray, he needs to get to the airport. He grabbed his coat and all his things and stood up. Donna hurried after him, a smile on her face. They're going to need to be there in the next fifty minutes. Jessica would have gotten them there and checked them in. They'll probably be waiting for the plane now. Harvey didn't even wait for the elevator, but Donna met him at the bottom of the stairs, he was puffing, but they both ran out to Ray, waiting for them. He immediately told Ray to get them to JFK as fast as he could. Donna held his hand in the back seat, telling him that he is doing the right thing. Harvey told her that he loves Mike, and she grinned, saying that 'she knows, she's Donna'. Harvey asked why he didn't tell her earlier, and she slapped his shoulder and told him that he needed to figure it out on his own. It was tense as they sped through traffic. Ray was good at getting places quickly. But he couldn't beat the traffic always. They were stuck in traffic for at least twenty minutes, the whole time Harvey anxiously tapped his leg, checked his phone, looking anywhere but ahead of him. Donna held his hand, squeezing it to try and calm him down, but the only person who could calm Harvey down was Mike. They made it to the airport with five minutes to spare. Harvey basically sprinted out of the car, and Donna had to remove her heels so she could run after Harvey. They headed straight for the gate that Jessica had mentioned to him. As soon as they got into the terminal, they heard them call for boarding flights to Chicago. Donna saw Jessica, Louis and Mike and Harvey took off again, as fast as he could. He called Mike's name when he neared the three, surprised security hadn't stopped him. He called Mike's name again, this time the young man turned around, frowning in surprise to see Harvey running towards him.
'Harvey? Wh-what are you…'
'I love you, Mike. I love you, and I don't know…I can't live without you. I love you. I just… I just needed you to know. Okay?' Harvey said, as he was pulled into a kiss by the younger man.
'I love you too idiot. Harvey, I promise you, I will always come back to you. Always. I love you and I'll miss you but…I do have to go. It's four days Harvey,' Mike said, turning to look at Jessica and Louis who were calling to him.
'I love you. Come home to me, okay?'
'I love you too. It's four days Harvey. I'll see you on Friday,' Mike whispered, kissing, and hugging him, then turning to catch back up with Louis and Jessica, waving to Donna who was sitting in a seat, catching her breath.

Specter Family House
Greystone, Massachusetts
Harvey had booked a nice dinner for him and Mike at Kikoi's, a new restaurant that had just opened here in Greystone, for his birthday. The younger man smiled, impressed that Harvey had made the reservation and not Donna. This earned him a threat to tickle him, which Mike said wasn't really a threat, because Harvey can't follow through. Of course, there was the eyebrow raise again, then Mike was running through the house, begging Helena for help, and hiding behind her so that Harvey couldn't get him. The eldest of the Specter siblings, told Mike that he would have to face his punishment, and not use her as a shield, then stepped to the side. Mike called her a traitor and fell to Harvey's tickling ways. He hates being tickled. The day his boyfriend found out that he's ticklish, was one of the worst days in their relationship. But Harvey eventually stopped, relinquishing Mike, and kissing him, the younger man whispering that today is his birthday, and he's supposed to be treated like a god today. Harvey lifted Mike up, threw the man over his shoulder, and carried him outside. Mike had given up trying to get Harvey to let him go, until he found out that his boyfriend was going to drop him in the snow. Luckily, he didn't fall, but he did bend down enough to grab a handful of snow, then he threw it at Harvey's back, quickly covering his mouth with his hands as he'd realised what he'd just done. Harvey's slow turn to look at him, was worse than the times he had screwed up at work. Mike cowered under the look, and started apologising, then he was hit in the face with snow, and told it was 'payback'. Braiden called for a snowball fight, but Mike escaped into the wooden tree house that was still standing in the backyard. Upon entering, he saw things from childhoods passed, old posters, toys, and some newer things. It was amazing to Mike, that something like this could still be standing after all these years. He supposes that Lily and Richard keep it up because their grandkids could play in it, which is nice. Harvey appeared a moment later, and Mike raised his hands in innocence, turning to pick up an old robot toy. Harvey explained that he, Marcus, and Damien had built this 'fort' for the boys, back when they were kids. He had never really come up here, but Marcus and Damien used to spend hours out here. There was a chalkboard and some chalk, still good. Harvey grabbed a random piece of cloth and wiped off whatever was on the board. He picked up a piece of chalk and began writing something on the board. Mike saw that it was Harvey + Mike and a heart in the centre. He just smiled.
The first dare of the day was handed out by Marcus, and it was directed at Harvey. Mike chuckled, grabbing his boyfriend's hand, and kissing his cheek. Usually, Marcus is brutal with his dares, if not to get Harvey back for past dares he has inflicted, usually just to irritate. He had dared Harvey to stand out the front of the house singing Christmas carols. Helena cheered, knowing that her brother is surprisingly good, and said that it was an 'easy dare'. Harvey asked what the forfeit was, and Marcus mentioned that if he didn't take the dare, he would have to do it dressed up as Santa. Mike couldn't help himself, he laughed at the image of his boyfriend dressed up as the big, red man. Harvey looked between Mike and Marcus, then took the dare. He knew that it was better than dressing up. Mike knew that Marcus had kind of done it on purpose. Mike had heard about Harvey's 'singing' escapades in highschool, and on car trips, and wanted to hear it, so this was the perfect thing for him to do. They all followed Harvey out the front, and he started singing along to 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'. After five minutes, and many strange looks from passers-by, Helena went and joined her brother, and soon the whole family was singing. Mike just watched from the front door, then quickly turned, and ran upstairs to Harvey's bedroom when he saw them all coming back. Lily declared that Harvey had completed his dare, and he got a point on the board. Mike had remembered when he and his parents went caroling with his grandmother. Everyone thought he was 'so cute' in the little outfit that his parents had dressed him in and asked him what he was raising money for. Every year, he and his parents would just raise money to give to the charities to help those in need. His Grammy continued to do it until she couldn't anymore, but Mike… after he lost his parents and Grammy, he just lost the joy that came with it he supposes. It's ridiculous to get so worked up over a memory. When he hears someone coming up the stairs he ducks into the bathroom, pretending to have just come from there when Harvey appears, asking if he's okay. Mike nods, kissing him and telling him that he's a good singer, pulling him close and squeezing his butt cheeks, before winking and walking back down the stairs. He had calmed himself enough to participate in the banter that was going on around him. Harvey appeared not long after with a dare for Marcus. The youngest Specter groaned, and his daughter chuckled.
'Okay, hit me with it bro,' he said, closing his eyes whilst Caroline told him to open them, he's being weird, then ran out of the room.
'I dare you to dress up as Santa and go to the lights parade with the kids tonight,' Harvey said, knowing how much Marcus hates that parade.
'What is the forfeit?' the young man asked, and Harvey looked at him, smirking.
'You participate in it with the cousins,' Harvey said, and Marcus groaned putting his head in his hands, the muffled sound of 'I'll take the dare' causing chuckles through the room.
At seven, Mike found himself getting ready for his dinner with Harvey. He put on a button-down shirt, and some jeans, and was in the middle of doing his hair, when there was a knock on the door, and Helena stuck her head through the crack, asking if he wanted to see Marcus before he's subjected to his dare. Mike chuckled, and followed her downstairs, holding his jacket in his arms. Harvey and Richard had left a little before him, the matriarch of the Specter Family wanting to take his son for a drink. He promised Mike that he would meet him at the restaurant at seven forty-five. The festival that was in the main street, but it wasn't far from the house, so they donned their winter outfits, to keep themselves warm, and made the walk into town. Marcus was dressed as Santa, and Caroline thought he looked 'stupid', and refused to be anywhere near him. The kids were pointing out all the amazing lights and floats that had been decorated, and the cool costumes that people had made to be in the festival. Mike had mentioned to Damien that he was going to sneak off at seven forty to meet Harvey for a date. He rolled his eyes when Damien made lewd noises but didn't ask anything else. It's not like he doesn't want them to know that it's his birthday, it's just that… Christmas is in five days, and he doesn't want them to make a big deal about it, with Christmas so close. Sometimes he hates having a December birthday. His parents used to say that he would get some of his presents on his birthday, and the rest on Christmas Day. It never used to bother him when he was younger, because his Grammy just made it like one big birthday. But as he got older, and people stopped caring as much, and Christmas got more expensive, he didn't worry about his birthday. One year, for his sixteenth, whilst all the other kids threw extravagant parties and got thousands of dollars' worth of presents, he and his Grammy would bake cupcakes, and she would place a candle in one, and tell him to make a wish. Then he would get a small present, usually a few new clothes or some things for school. He liked those kinds of birthdays. Those were his favourite. Trevor tried to throw him an eighteenth once… it didn't really end well. He probably should have cut ties with Trevor then, but that was his only 'real' friend at the time, and he was heading to college in the fall… Grammy had always made his birthday and Christmases the best she could.
Mike broke off from the group and make his way over to the restaurant, giving the girl Harvey's name. She led him back to a table, somewhere near the back that was secluded, but still a part of the main room. Mike thanked her and took a seat, removing his jacket and winter wear. He ordered himself a wine, because it's his birthday, and he can if he wants to. Harvey was meeting him here, but he's late. Harvey Specter is never late. Mike pulled out his phone, didn't see any texts from his boyfriend, but sent a quick one to him. He placed his phone down on the table, thanked the server when she brought over his drink, and explained that he's waiting for someone, so he'll hold off on ordering. She nodded and brought over a basket of bread… Richard and Harvey had been so caught up in their 'father/son' bonding night, that they had lost track of the time. When Richard asked Harvey if he wanted another, it only took a moment, and Harvey checking his phone, to realise his mistake. He shouted shit, his father giving him that 'don't swear' look. Harvey told him that he had planned to go out for dinner with Mike, and Richard made a hiss sound when Harvey told him that he's late. His father told him to go, having seen one of his mates. Harvey hugged him, told him that he had a nice time, then sprinted out of the bar. He's an idiot. Such a stupid idiot. He should've checked the time. He'd missed five texts from Mike, and two calls. Harvey ran down the road towards the restaurant, noticing that it was closing. He kicked the light post, then crossed the road, heading into the small supermarket. He's going to make this up to Mike. He's an idiot. He isn't even drunk. He only had three beers, but he'd just lost track of time, talking with his father… it was nice. Mike is going to fucking kill me… he said to himself, as he grabbed a few things, paid for them, and almost ran back home. The house was dark when Harvey entered. It's just after ten. He sprinted into the kitchen, pulling the cake out, and putting the candles in it, then he grabbed the lighter and ran upstairs. Mike was lying on their bed reading when he entered the room, trying to catch his breath. Mike raised an eyebrow at him, sitting up when Harvey came over to him. He put the cake on the nightstand and grabbed Mike's hand, forcing the younger man to turn to face him, legs dangling off the edge of the bed. He caressed Mike's face softly.
'Mike, I'm so sorry baby. I lost track of time, I'm an idiot just… I'm so sorry baby. I know this won't make up for it but...' Harvey was silenced by Mike's lips against his
'Harvey, I would never begrudge you the time to spend with your dad. If I had that chance, just once more… I was mad, but I'm not now,' Mike said, as Harvey held the cake out in front of him, Mike blew out the candles.
'Your parents and Grammy would be so proud of you Mike, and I still need to make it up to you,' Harvey said, as they headed downstairs to eat the cake, Mike got a glint in his eye, when Harvey knows that he's up to something.
'What?'
'I know how you can make it up to me Harvey. I dare you to shove your face in that cake,' Mike whispered in the soft light of the kitchen, lips close to Harvey's whilst the older man frowned.
'What's the forfeit?' he asked, in between Mike kissing him, almost missing Mike's muffled reply of 'no sex for a week'.
Harvey had never shoved his face in a cake faster. Mike laughed, and then Harvey laughed, chasing Mike around the kitchen, catching him, and making sure to cover him in as much cake as possible. They were kissing one another, when Helena, Marcus, Damien, Molly and Peter appeared, asking what they were doing and why Harvey was covered in cake. Mike explained that he had dared Harvey, then kissed his boyfriend his taste mixed with cake and alcohol. Peter asked if the cake was still good to eat, to which Mike thought was disgusting, but didn't say that, just nodded, taking a piece that was on Harvey's face, and seductively sucking it off his finger, whilst Harvey's eyes darkened. They bid the others goodnight, and rushed upstairs, cleaning themselves off, before Mike took charge, stating that it's his birthday and Harvey owes him for missing it… then kissed his boyfriend. He really wasn't mad at Harvey. If he had the chance to hang out with his dad, he would have taken it. He would never take that away from Harvey. His birthday isn't a big deal, it's not a big birthday, he's only thirty-six. But Harvey always tells him that his birthday is a big deal, so he used that excuse as a reason (not that he needs one) to be in charge, and Harvey always likes it when Mike takes charge. He loves watching Mike dominate him. Downstairs, Helena was trying to work out why Harvey had brought a random cake. It wouldn't have just been for a dare. He must have done something for Mike to punish him. He also gets another point on the board, which she went and added alongside Marcus', adding her parent's names to the board as well. They unfortunately had decided to participate. Lily was still going to referee them though. When she entered the kitchen again, her husband and brother were eating the cake that Harvey had stuck his face in. She went upstairs to talk to Harvey, opening the door without knocking. Both occupants of the room let out a small scream, and she did as well, covering her eyes. Harvey was growling at her to 'get out', and she apologised. Leaving the room, eyes still covered, until she heard the door click closed. She was met at the top of the stairs by Marcus, Damien, Molly and Peter, asking her what the screaming was about. Unfortunately, it had also woken her parents. She cringed, explaining that they should all go back to bed, holding the door to Harvey's bedroom closed. Lily demanded that she move, but she begged her mother not to go to in there. Then Molly made her a dare. She dared Lily to go into the room, and of course, fearing nothing, that's exactly what she did.
Mike was about to take his boyfriend, after opening him up, then the door to the bedroom opened again, and basically the whole family 'fell' into Harvey's room. He covered himself and Harvey with the duvet, both not feeling the mood anymore. Lily smiled at her son and Mike, and asked how their night was, whilst the rest of the siblings tried hard to hide their laughter. Harvey told them all to get out, muttering that he's going to 'put a lock on his door'. Mike was still hard behind him, and Harvey just wanted his family to go away. His mother, god bless her, walked over to the bed, and sat down, brushing a stray strand of hair off Harvey's head, whilst Marcus burst out laughing first. If this is a dare… I am going to sue them all… Harvey thought, looking around the room. Helena pointed to Molly, and she broke her laughter. Mike had cooled off and was subtly pulling sweatpants back on. Lily kept her composure, asking what they had been up to, and how their day went, how Harvey's drinks with his father were, having a conversation like she hadn't just walked in on her son having sex. Once the laughter had gotten too much, Helena told her mother that she had completed the dare, laughing at the look on Harvey's face, and hi-fiving her mother. Harvey sent his sister a death glare, that Mike would normally run away from at work, but Helena just smirked, and turned to leave the room, bidding them both a 'pleasurable night', bursting into another fit of laughter as she left the room, the others soon followed, and Lily, ever her graceful self, winked at her son, before leaving the room. Once the door had closed, Harvey ran a hand down his face, then turned to look at Mike, who was resting his head on his shoulder. Neither of them was really in the mood now, having both been embarrassed by the sudden entrance of his entire family. Mike just pressed a soft kiss to Harvey's chin, cheek, and lips, thanking him for an amazing birthday. Harvey smiled, whispered 'I love you' to Mike, hearing it back, before the two drifted off to sleep. Mike had a fitful sleep that night. Harvey woke up, hearing Mike mumbling in his sleep. His boyfriend was sweating and mumbling about something. When he woke Mike up, the young man sat up, a terrified look on his face. He turned to look at Harvey, who was also terrified, for Mike, then basically jumped onto him, hugging him, tears falling from their eyes and Harvey calmed Mike down.
'Shhhhh baby, it's alright. I'm here. I'm not letting you go. I won't let anything happen to you,' he whispered, holding Mike as he lay them back down.
'I w-w-was b-b-back in-in th-that a-a-alley H-harv-ey. I-I thought…'
'Shhhhh. It's alright. You're here with me. You're safe Mike. You're safe,' he said, mostly to remind himself as well, but he held his boyfriend tight.
'I love you,' Mike got out, Harvey responding in kind, before they both fell asleep again.
A/N: Next chapter: I find more interesting and ridiculous ways to drag out the holidays, so stick around for that if you're interested! Thanks and have a fantastic day! D.
