The Sovereign Of The Sunrise Kingdom

Chapter 2: Twin Prince and Princess

Elsewhere within the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, a small mouse runs through the hallways for a moment until it finds a small hole in one of the walls and goes inside of it. The mouse went through the hole for a moment and then arrived at one of the caves in the Royal Kopje where it sniffs the air and washes its face. The mouse then began relaxing itself on the floor peacefully and continued smelling the air until a giant paw crushes it. The paw grabs the mouse by its tail and slowly picks it up, and the paw belongs to Prince Taka, also known as Scar, who is the younger brother of King Mufasa and the older brother of Princess Zahara.

While Scar held the mouse in his grasp, he stared at it in complete lamentation since he has lost his chance of being sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom one of these days right after Mufasa now has twin children named Crown Prince Simba and Princess Amani which makes Simba the heir to the throne and Amani second-in-line to the throne. Also, unlike Zahara and everybody else who supports Mufasa being sovereign of the kingdom and has children who are his two royal heirs, Scar doesn't completely support their royal statuses at all and he is very jealous of them, and he strongly desires to become the sovereign which he believes that the throne is rightfully his even though Simba and Amani are the true heirs since they are Mufasa's son and daughter.

"Life isn't fair, is it a little mouse?" asked Scar. "You see, I thought that the throne would be mine someday, but the chance got ruined completely by my own brother's children. I guess I will never become the sovereign just like I've always dreamed about." He lets the small mouse run across his paw for a moment, and it tries to escape, but Scar grabs it in his claws again. "And you will never see the light of another day since you're gonna be my next meal." He then laughed for a moment. "Kwaheri."

Scar then opens his mouth just as he lowers the mouth just as he attempts to eat him, but he suddenly got interrupted by Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa who have just arrived at the cave to rebuke him for not showing up at the presentation ceremony of Simba being the heir to the throne and Amani being currently second-in-line and how Mufasa will be arriving to rebuke him for not being present at the ceremony along with Zahara, and Scar suddenly become annoyed by their sudden arrival.

"Didn't your own mother Queen Uru tell you not to play with your food when you used to be a young prince?" asked Zazu.

"What do you want, Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa." asked Scar just as the mouse attempted to escape from under his paw.

"We're here to inform you that his royal highness King Mufasa is on his way." said Bahati just as she bowed.

"And her highness Princess Zahara is on her way too along with Mufasa." said Elewa.

"So you better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony for his newborn son as well as his newborn daughter this morning," said Zazu.

While Scar gets distracted by the three royal advisors of the Royal Advisory Council Of The Sunrise Kingdom, the mouse quickly manages to escape from his grasp and escape to a nearby hole in the wall. Since the mouse has escaped, Scar becomes greatly dismayed since he has been intending on eating it.

"Oh, look what you three made me do. I've just lost my lunch." said Scar.

"Ha! You'll lose more than that when the sovereign will finish his conversation with you, Scar." said Zazu. "Besides, you'll get over it. Right now, Mufasa is just as mad as a hippo with a hernia."

"Oooh, I cower in fear of what my big brother would do! I would love to see him try to do so!" said Scar. He then bares his teeth at Zazu with a very hungry expression which causes Zazu to back away in complete fear while Bahati and Elewa become filled with shock and fear.

"Um, Scar…what the heck are you doing?" asked Elewa.

"Now, Scar, please don't look at me that way!" asked Zazu just as he continued backing up in fear while Scar kept baring his teeth at him. "Bahati! Elewa! Help!" He attempts to fly away, but Scar quickly catches him with his jaws, much to the shock of both Bahati and Elewa.

"Scar, knock it off! Let Zazu go!" exclaimed Bahati.

Mufasa suddenly arrived right in front of the cave along with Zahara, and they both have arrived to confront him for not being present at the presentation of Simba being the rightful heir to the throne of the Sunrise Kingdom as well as Amani being anointed and honored as second-in-line to the throne just like the other members of the Sunrise Kingdom royal family, the Royal Advisory Council Of The Sunrise Kingdom, the members of the Sunrise Pride, and all of the inhabitants of the Sunrise Kingdom did that very morning.

"Scar?" asked Mufasa.

"Mmm-hmm?" asked Scar just as he stared at Mufasa and Zahara over his shoulder while he had Zazu in his mouth.

"You drop Zazu right now," said Mufasa.

"Hmm?" asked Scar.

"You already heard him, Brother. Spit him out." said Zahara.

Zazu pokes his beak out of Scar's mouth. "Such a great timing, your majesty and the majesty's sister herself." Scar then spits out Zazu from his mouth, leaving him covered in saliva, much to his disgust. "Ugh. So disgusting."

"That's so gross. Zazu, are you alright?" asked Bahati in disgust.

"I think so," said Zazu.

"Eww, that is so repulsive." said Elewa in disgust.

"Why, if it isn't my big brother who is the royal sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom himself after mingling with the commoners." Scar greeted sarcastically just as Mufasa and Zahara both entered the cave together. "And if it isn't my little sister who have also mingled with the peasants."

"Sarabi, the rest of the family, the rest of the pride, and I didn't see you at the presentation of our son Simba as well as the anointing of our daughter Amani," said Mufasa.

"Everybody has been attending the whole ceremony, but not all of them, and that's you, Scar. You're supposed to be honoring our brother's two new kids." said Zahara.

"The ceremony was supposed to be today?" asked Scar sarcastically. "Oh, I feel simply awful for not being there like I was supposed to." He scrapes his claws against the wall which causes a very loud screeching sound that causes Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa to cringe while Bahati and Elewa cover their ears from the screeching sound. "Must've slipped my mind." He admired his claws for a moment.

"Well, if your mind is that slippy just like you said, we hope that in case you're wondering, as the sovereign's younger brother, you should've been first in line to the throne." said Zazu just as he flies accusingly into Scar's face. Scar snaps his jaws right in front of Zazu which causes him to hide right behind Mufasa's leg in fear.

"Oh, that's not so kind, and you could've at least shown him some kindness for once! Sheesh!" exclaimed Bahati.

"I am showing kindness, Bahati, and this is the kindness I'm doing right now," said Scar. He licks Bahati on her cheek, causing her to become greatly disgusted.

"Hey! Why did you do that?! My goodness!" exclaimed Bahati.

"Well, the kindness you're showing is actually nothing but absolute disrespect!" exclaimed Elewa.

"Actually, here's some disrespect, Elewa," said Scar. He pinches Elewa's cheek, causing to become greatly annoyed.

"Cut it out! Cut it out! Cut it out!" exclaimed Elewa.

Bahati and Elewa then hide from Scar right behind Zahara's legs just as Zazu's continue to hide from Scar right behind Mufasa's leg, and the three members were completely appalled by how Scar is so disrespectful, especially towards his two siblings Mufasa and Zahara. Also, Mufasa and Zahara are very appalled by Scar's own disrespectful behavior as well just as they both glared at Scar in disapproval, and Scar continued to be very disrespectful towards them all, especially towards Simba and Amani as well as their status of being the heirs to the throne of the kingdom.

"Scar, will you please stop tormenting Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa and show them kindness and respect?" asked Zahara. "Also, you would also torment the other members of the royal council which are Mwanga, Afua, and Damisi, and you've always done so. Just cut it out, okay?"

"Sorry, but I can't help myself, little sister. That's just the way I am, and it's so much fun having so much fun with the royal advisors," said Scar.

"But you're actually tormenting them, and they are supposed to be treated with kindness and respect all the time," said Mufasa. "Since we're royalty, we're supposed to do that kind of thing towards our loyal subjects, especially towards each other since we're family and the members of the pride."

"Yeah, if you say so, Big Brother. I was just having fun, that's all." said Scar.

"Well, you still should at least use your fun to be at least kind and respectful since you're royalty just like we are and the rest of our family." said Mufasa. "And our mother Queen Uru has been teaching us that since we used to be young cubs, and our father King Ahadi who is our mother's king consort has taught us that as well."

"That's right, our parents have always told us that we should be like that no matter what, and it's part of having a royal status," said Zahara.

"If you say so. Oh, and by the way, I used to be first in line to the throne." said Scar while Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa peeked out at him right behind Mufasa and Zahara's legs. "Also, I used to be second-in-line while Zahara used to be third-in-line when we used to be young children and during the reign of our mother Queen Uru." Scar gets into each of Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa's faces which causes them to duck behind Mufasa and Zahara's legs. "But that was until those little hairballs were born to Mufasa and his wife Sarabi a few days ago."

"Those two hairballs are my son and my daughter, and Simba will be your and Zahara's sovereign in the future." said Mufasa. "So, I suggest that you should at least show some respect for them as well as their statuses to the throne, and show some respect to your own siblings."

"Honestly, Scar, I'm alright with them being the heirs even though we did lose our chance at becoming the new sovereigns right after Mufasa one of these days." said Zahara. "And Mufasa is absolutely right, just show some respect."

"Oh, then I shall practice my own curtsy and try to show some respect for once." said Scar mockfully. "Even for those little children you call heirs to the throne." He turns away from Mufasa and Zahara just as he begins leaving.

"Ugh! You are so unbelievable!" exclaimed Zahara.

"Don't turn your back on us, Scar!" exclaimed Mufasa.

"Oh no, Mufasa and Zahara, perhaps you two shouldn't turn your backs on me." said Scar. "Especially when you've decided to show up and scold me like that." He continues leaving.

Just as Scar continued to leave the cave, Mufasa and Zahara continue to glare at him for his disrespectful and unkind attitude towards them, and they both became very offended for being very disrespectful towards the royal twins Simba and Amani as well as their current status as the rightful royal heirs to the throne while Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa became very offended for Scar's behavior as much as they are. Mufasa suddenly roars in anger just as he ran towards Scar who kept leaving, and Mufasa then leaped right in front of him just as he bared his teeth in anger and threatened him.

"Since you're not showing any respect at all, would you like to do a challenge?!" asked Mufasa.

"Temper, temper. I wouldn't like to challenge you anyway." said Scar. "Especially after what happened last time during one of the traditional holidays which was Remembrance Day."

"Maybe you should challenge Mufasa to a duel again for being disrespectful towards us and his own kids, Scar." said Zahara. "Oh, and I remember you've challenged me to a duel before and I've accepted and I've won, and that was when you've disrespected me and my husband Ushindi for deciding to help out some of the commoners with a flood within the savannah during the rainy season."

"So, why won't you accept a challenge with Mufasa?" asked Zazu.

"'Cause it's different, and it's very true that he's the sovereign," said Scar.

"Yeah, but how's it different from you challenging Mufasa since you've challenged Zahara to a duel before?" asked Bahati.

"Because I got the brains, and Mufasa got the brawn while Zahara is the beauty." answered Scar. "It has always been like that ever since we used to be little kids, and it always will be."

"We already know it has been like that ever since you three were young, even when your parents Uru and Ahadi used to be around." said Elewa.

"So, maybe you would challenge Mufasa to a duel for what you just did. Don't be such a coward over this." said Zahara.

"I love too, but I'm not a coward and I'm not interested in having a duel with him," said Scar. "Also, as far as the brains that I have go, I got the lion's share, but when it comes to brute strength that Mufasa has. I guess I'm at the shallow end of our species' gene pool."

Scar then leaves the cave and began traveling throughout the savannah of the Serengeti Plans while Mufasa and Zahara glared at him in disapproval for being so disrespectful and not showing any kindness at all, and they are still very appalled by how he didn't show any respect towards Simba and Amani as well as Simba's status as the heir apparent since he's the older twin brother of Amani and Amani's status as second-in-line since she's the younger twin sister of Simba. Also, Zazu, Bahati, and Elewa are still very annoyed by Scar's disrespectful behavior just as they all leave and begin traveling throughout the savannah along with Mufasa and Zahara.

Zazu sighed. "While family members get along with each other very well, they sometimes don't get along with each other, and that is something I've been through with my family and they would manage to ruin special occasions just like your own brother would, sire and highness."

"What am I gonna do with him and his own behavior?" asked Mufasa.

Zazu smiled jokingly. "Scar could make a really good throw rug."

Mufasa smiled at Zazu's joke. "That's a really good one."

"Mmm-hmm, that's really funny." said Zahara just as she giggled.

"Just think about it, we could take him out and beat him when he gets downright filthy!" said Elewa.

"For sure, and he could also wash him in the river when he gets dirty as well." said Bahati.

Mufasa chuckled and Zahara giggled at the three royal advisors' jokes about Scar being a rug, and they all leave the cave just as they begin heading back to the throne room together. Later on that day at the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun while Sarabi is leading a group of lionesses out on hunting some food for the Sunrise Pride such as thomson's gazelles and Ushindi is leading a group of male lions patrolling to keep intruders out of the kingdom such as hyenas, Wepesi is walking down the hallway along with a young male lion cub named Jabari who is her best friend, and she is kindly escorting her to one of the caves where the royal family sleeps at along with some of the members of the Sunrise Pride to show him her brand new cousins Simba and Amani while he is very excited all about it.

Soon, Wepesi and Jabari arrive at the royal cave where Mufasa is at the sleeping place of the sovereign, and Mufasa is holding the infant Simba and the infant Amani in his paws just as he gently cradled them and smiled at them while Zahara was right by his side and she smiled at the infant royal twins as well. Wepesi and Jabari warmly greet Mufasa and Zahari, and Wepesi kindly introduces her two infant cousins to her best friend Jabari who quickly smiles at both of them while they are being gently cradled by their father.

"So, these are you two new cousins, Wepesi?" asked Jabari.

"Yes, Jabari, and they're names are Simba and Amani," said Wepesi.

"Those are their names?" asked Jabari. Wepesi nodded her head yes. "Well, the names Simba and Amani suit them pretty well."

"They sure do, and my family and I have already agreed there are such good names for them," said Wepesi.

"King Mufasa, congratulations for you and your wife Queen Sarabi for your new son and daughter." said Jabari just as he bowed to Mufasa. "Also, my father and I have been at the ceremony for your two new kids too."

"Sarabi and I already know that, and that's 'cause all of the members of the Sunrise Pride have been there besides everybody who lives in the kingdom," said Mufasa. "We honestly appreciate attending our son's ceremony as the future sovereign and our daughter's honor and anointment as second-in-line to the throne."

"Uncle Mufasa, Mom, what about Uncle Scar? Did you and my mother as well figure out why he didn't show up for the ceremony?" asked Wepesi.

"Well, Wepesi, we guess that's 'cause he doesn't approve of Simba and Amani being the royal heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje," said Zahara. "He used to be first-in-line and I used to be second-in-line when Mufasa ascended the throne right after your grandmother Uru has passed away, but now since he has and son and daughter who are twins, they are now his rightful heirs, and he's totally against it so much."

"Is that true?" asked Wepesi.

"Yes, dear, and Scar wasn't showing that much respect and kindness towards your cousins besides me, your uncle Mufasa, and the others." said Zahara.

"You know, I am fully aware that he is those kinds of things, and even though he is, he's still part of this family no matter what." said Wepesi.

"And he's still a member of the Sunrise Pride too." said Jabari.

"That's true, and even though he can be those things, we still love him and care about him very much." said Zahara.

"Nobody's perfect, and people really need to respect each other's flaws no matter what." said Mufasa. "Our relationship with Scar is strained, but sometimes we do get along with him, even when we used to be little kids."

"What you just said is absolutely correct, and we did everything together during our childhood together along with our mother and father." said Zahara. "Oh, and by the way, it was also during the reign of our grandfather King Mohatu when he and our grandmother Queen Yumna who is his wife as well. Also, our parents told us to get along with each other too."

"Yes, and since getting along is one of the most important things in life, I expect Simba and Amani to do the same." said Mufasa. "Simba is gonna ascend the throne and become king someday and Amani will be the one helping him run the kingdom, and since it's going to happen, I expect them to work together."

"It would be a good thing that Simba and Amani would learn how to get along, especially when they'll be working together running the kingdom," said Zahara. "It's really important that they should do so, and working together and getting along with each other is part of the great Circle Of Life which is something else both our parents taught us when we were young."

"Of course. And Simba and Amani will be learning about the Circle Of Life and how it has always been one of those very special concepts in life." said Mufasa. "Everybody is all connected to the Circle Of Life, and we all must show complete respect for it such as showing respect to each other, treating each other with equality, sharing with each other, and most of all living together in harmony."

Mufasa continues to cradle the infant Simba and the infant Amani in his paws just as he smiled at them for being the two rightful heirs to the throne and expects them to work together running the kingdom when Simba ascends the throne at as the new sovereign one of these days, and besides being the rightful heirs to the throne, they will be also have their own places in the Circle Of Life just like everybody else are and would run the Sunrise Kingdom together under the concept of the great Circle Of Life since it's a balance for prey and predators to live together in peace and harmony.

While Mufasa continues to cradle his infant twin son and daughter, both Simba and Amani began snuggling up against his mane just as it turns out to be very comfortable and warm, and he quickly notices his two children resting against his mane just as he continued to smile at them while Zahara, Wepesi, and Jabari smiled at them. Also, Mufasa chuckled gently just as Simba and Amani began making themselves comfortable against his mane, and he warmly nuzzled them while Zahara began adoring them along with her daughter Wepesi and her daughter's best friend Jabari.

Later on that day, it is now the evening, and Sarabi and the lioness hunting party get finished hunting some zebra in the savannah and bring their dead carcass back to the Royal Kopje for the Sunrise Pride to eat for dinnertime and Ushindi and the male lion patrol group get finished with chasing out the hyena intruders from the kingdom, and everybody gather at one of the caves of the Royal Kopje where they are preparing to dine together and eat the food they have hunted together, and they begin eating the zebra they have hunted. While they are preparing to have the hunted zebras for dinner in the dining cave, Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Amani, Zahara, Ushindi, and Wepesi are out at the peak, and they are witnessing the stars in the evening sky together.

The reason why they are witnessing the stars in the evening sky is because they are fully aware that the ones who are the deceased members of the Sunrise Kingdom Royal Family, and they are also known as the Great Sovereigns Of The Past. The Great Sovereigns Of The Past have always watched over their descendants of the royal family as well as the inhabitants of the Sunrise Kingdom right after each of them has died, and they're actually benevolent members of the royal family with pure hearts.

Besides the past kings of queens of the Sunrise Kingdom watching over the living from the stars, the ones from other royal families of lions from other kingdoms that are being ruled by other kingdoms in Africa that are being ruled by royal-blooded lions, and some of the stars in the sky represent the spirit of each past sovereign. The members of the royal family admire the shining stars where the spirits of the past rulers of the kingdom as well as the other past members of the royal family are watching over them, and just as they are, Mufasa has the infant Simba in his paws, Sarabi has the infant Amani in her paws, and Wepesi was on top of Zahara's shoulders.

"Is that what I think they are in the sky?" asked Wepesi.

"Yes, darling, and those are stars, and they only appear in the evening and throughout the nighttime," said Ushindi.

"Also, not only the stars appear at a time like this, they represent something important, and they are our own ancestors." replied Zahara.

"That's right, and they are known as the Great Sovereigns Of The Past, Wepesi." said Mufasa. "They are the ones who are the past kings and queens of the Sunrise Kingdom, and right after they have died, they begin watching over their loved ones from those shining stars."

"I remember Mufasa has told me all about the past sovereigns of the kingdom when we used to be young, and those stories have been told by your own grandparents." said Sarabi. "Honestly, I enjoy hearing about those stories your uncle would tell me about how they would always watch over us all from the stars, and it's such a wonderful thing as well."

"And I really enjoy hearing about those stories about the ancestors of the royal family as well." replied Ushindi. "Oh, and besides Mufasa telling Sarabi all about the past sovereigns of the kingdom, Zahara has told me all about their stories which she learned from your grandparents during our childhood."

"You know, I've always known that our ancestors have always watched over us from the shining stars, and you two have always told me, Mom and Dad." replied Wepesi. "Listening about our ancestors watching over the ones they love and care about so much is so much fun, and we would always do those kinds of things."

"Since they would always watch over us from the shining sky, some of those stars represent their own spirits," said Mufasa. "Right after each of them has passed away by some cause, each of their spirits has become stars, and some of those shining stars are actually the spirits of our own ancestors who have ruled the kingdom way before me."

Zahara points up to a purple bright star in the sky. "Hey, look, everybody. I know what that star is, and that's the spirit of Queen Uru. The one who used to be the ruler of the kingdom before Mufasa, and she's our mother and she was a dauntless sovereign."

Mufasa points up to a blue bright star in the sky. "That star represents the spirit of our grandfather King Mohatu, and it's one of the brightest stars of them all and he was a really loving ruler."

Zahara points up to a green bright star in the sky. "That one right there represents the spirit of King Hekima, and he's our great-grandfather and he was a ruler with such great wisdom."

Mufasa points up to a pink bright star in the sky. "That one is the spirit of our great-great grandmother Queen Tumaini, and it's also one of the brightest stars ever and she was a sovereign who always believed that there could always be hope."

Zahara points up to a yellow bright star in the sky. "That one is the spirit of Queen Rehema, and she was our great-great-great grandmother and she was really a compassionate sovereign."

Mufasa points up to an orange bright star in the sky. "And that one is the spirit of our great-great-great-great grandfather King Ukweli, and he has always been a very loyal ruler."

"Wow. There are so many past kings and queens of the Sunrise Kingdom, and each of them has been great sovereigns as well." said Wepesi.

"That's 'cause the royal family has been ruling the Sunrise Kingdom for thousands of years right after it was first founded by King Jua," said Mufasa. "Also, when the kingdom was first coming to be, everybody has always believed in living together in peace and harmony, and it's part of one of the most important things of the great Circle Of Life."

"That's true, and everybody became connected to the Circle Of Life once the kingdom has been founded by King Jua while the Sunrise Pride has been established as well." said Zahara.

"Also, the past sovereigns of the royal family are very proud of Simba and Amani's statuses to the throne as much as we are." said Sarabi.

"They will become even more proud when Simba becomes the new king and will have Amani helping him out with things around the kingdom," said Ushindi.

"Yes, they sure will, and besides those things, they will have their own places in the Circle Of Life as well." said Mufasa. "Just like we have our own places in it and everybody else does."

"Oh, and let's remember this as well, everybody." said Zahara. "Besides the concept of the great Circle Of Life existing in this kingdom, the concept exists in other kingdoms too."

"Yes, and it has always existed in the other kingdoms just like this kingdom," said Mufasa. "Most of those kingdoms have been ruled by lions while some of them are ruled by another species, and the past kings and queens from those kingdoms watch over the living as well. Even though they have passed away, they will always be with us no matter what, and they are still with us in their spirits."

The royal family continue to witness the beautiful shining stars in the sky together, and it is now nighttime. They continue to be amazed by how the past kings and queens of the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun would watch over the living from the stars and how some of the shining stars represent each of their spirits, and they already know that the past rulers of the Sunrise Kingdom such as Queen Uru, King Mohatu, King Hekima, Queen Tumaini, Queen Rehema, and King Ukweli are very proud of Simba being the future sovereign and will be having Amani helping him out with running the kingdom since she's his younger twin sister and currently second-in-line to the throne. Mufasa warmly embraced Simba and nuzzled his head, Sarabi warmly embraced Amani and nuzzled her head, and both Zahara and Ushindi warmly embraced Wepesi.

Soon, the royal family get finished with witnessing the shining stars which their own deceased ancestors are watching over them from and some of the each of the stars represent their spirits, and they go back inside the Royal Kopje to have some of the zebra dinner with the rest of the members of the Sunrise Pride, and while they did so, Mufasa carried the infant Simba in his mouth, Sarabi carried the infant Amani in his mouth, and Zahara carried Wepesi on her shoulders while Ushindi came along too. Back inside, the royal family began having the dead zebra carcasses for dinner along with the other members of the Sunrise Pride, and they are enjoying their dinner so much while the members of the royal council enjoyed their own dinner which is fruits, vegetables, and nuts.

Meanwhile, within the savannah of the Sunrise Kingdom during nighttime, dark clouds suddenly appear over the savannah, and a very loud sound of thunder rumbles and a heavy rain suddenly falls over the vast savannah. Just as a heavy thunderstorm happens in the kingdom, Rafiki is inside his baobab tree at one of the locations of the kingdom which is the Ruaha Fields, and he is using some gourds to paint two lion cubs on one of the walls, and they are paintings of both the royal twins Simba and Amani. While he does so, he smiled at the two paintings of the twins since they are the two royal heirs to the throne of the kingdom.

Soon, Rafiki gets finished with paintings on Simba and Amani on the wall, and he begins praying to the Great Sovereigns Of The Past that Simba will be a great king just like his father King Mufasa and will rule the Sunrise Kingdom with compassion and kindness just like him and themselves when he ascends the throne as the new sovereign someday and also prays to them that his younger twin sister Amani will help him out with running the kingdom and will also be a good princess to the kingdom as well.

Then, he dips his thumb in the paint and smears across the painted Simba's forehead just like he did during his presentation as the rightful heir to the throne and gets out a small flower and puts it on the side of the painted Amani's head just like he did during the ceremony as second-in-line to the throne, and he continues to hope that Simba will become a great sovereign and Amani will he a great assistance to Simba once he ascends the throne.

"Oh, his royal majesty King Mufasa now has children of his own, and they are named Simba and Amani." said Rafiki. "They are twins and they've been born on the same day, and Simba is the heir to the throne and Amani is second-in-line. One of these days, Simba will inherit the throne from his father and there could be a chance that Amani would be the next heir, and if she doesn't, then she could be a princess and help the sovereign with things around the kingdom just like the siblings of the past sovereigns did. Let's just have hope that the new twin prince and princess will do good things for the kingdom and make everybody proud, and those two look a lot just like their parents."

Rafiki then chuckles at the painting of Simba with the anointment mark and at the painting of Amani with the small flower on the side of her head, and he continues to pray to the Great Sovereigns Of The Past that Simba will become a great sovereign just like his father Mufasa and the ones who ruled the kingdom before him such as his mother Uru and his grandfather Mohatu, and that Amani will be a great princess and will be a really good assistance to Simba for the things that goes on in the Sunrise Kingdom when in need. Also, Rafiki admires about how Simba has inherited much of Mufasa's handsome appearance and how Amani has inherited much of Sarabi's beautiful appearance, and how Simba looks so handsome and Amani looks so beautiful just like their own parents are.
