Jade: Prom Wrecker

She should have known better, of course Sikowitz and Tori had to team up against her so the school could have their first prom, she refused to call it Prome. After she hadn't gotten the lead in Sikowitz's play a week ago she had looked forward to her live performance and put a lot of effort into it. It should prove that she was able to write good things and didn't deserve to be only an understudy.

When Sikowitz and Tori refused to cancel prom she was angry, but she felt disappointed as well. She didn't want to focus on the latter feeling and concentrated on making Vega's prom fail. It was only fair, Tori took away something that meant so much to her and now she did the same thing to her. Jade had everything planned out and was actually looking forward to going to prom to see her plan unfold.

Before she went to prom she snapped a picture of herself in her dress and wrote under it 'Ready for prom, hope everyone else is too'. She knew Tori would see it and be nervous what she might do and she had every reason to be. In the end it would be only fair that the prom, that only Tori really wanted, after all Hollywood Arts never needed one before, failed.

Of course nothing went as planned or rather it did until Tori once again humiliated her in front of everyone. How could she ever think that she could win against the perfect Tori Vega? She should have known better than to think something would go her way for once. Making her prom queen and Doug the diaper guy king was the worst thing Vega could have done to her and then she got carried away by him. When he sat her down and went in for a kiss Jade had enough and kicked him where it hurt. Who did this guy think he was?

After Jade left Doug and his assistant in the school, she considered what she should do now. Her car was in the shop, so her mom had driven her here, but she didn't want to call her right now. All she wanted now was to be left alone. It was only a ten minute walk to Beck's RV, so she decided to go there. Her boyfriend would only come back in a few hours, but in their home she felt safe and closer to him.

It was just her luck that it began raining shortly after she had left the school, but right now it fitted her mood. The rain was doing for her what she refused to do because of the situation even when she felt like it. When she finally entered the RV, Beck had given her a key after she had kicked his door open more than one time, she was completely drenched. After she took a quick shower she put one of Beck's shirts on and lay down on his bed. She was feeling cold and not only because she had walked most of the way in the freezing rain. Surely all of them were having a good laugh about her right now. She didn't care what other people thought of her, but the humiliation still hurt.

Shaking her head she turned the lights off and snuggled deeper into the blankets that still held a little bit of Beck's scent. It calmed her down immediately, but she still couldn't find any sleep.

Beck: Prom Wrecker

In the middle of the week Jade stopped answering his calls. She still texted him, but she refused to talk to him over the phone. It began the same day she wrote him that her performance got canceled so that Tori could have a prom. Beck wanted to talk to her to be able to comfort her, but she didn't let him and that worried him. Of course he would be back in a few days and he was sure that she could do her performance on another day, but he knew that she was upset especially after she didn't get the lead in Sikowitz's play last week. Beck wanted to be there for her and tell her that it would be alright, but she didn't give him a chance. Every time he texted her to ask about it she change the subject and it wasn't until Saturday in the early evening that he got to know what was happening at Hollywood Arts.

Beck was about to board the plane back home when Tori texted him that he should call Jade and stop her from sabotaging prom. He almost smiled about his girlfriend's plan that she had surely come up with as soon as she had heard about prom. This time she was right in his opinion, Tori should have canceled prom. Jade had booked the Asphalt Cafe first and Beck knew how much effort she put in every one of her performances.

When Beck arrived, L.A. welcomed him back with heavy rain, but he was still glad to see Jade soon. His parents called a taxi and they made their way home in no time. During the ride Beck tried to reach Jade, but it seemed like she had turned her phone off. His other friends hadn't texted him either since he had left Canada, so he didn't know what he should make of the situation.

The moment the Olivers arrived home Beck said good night to his parents and went over to his RV. What awaited him inside his home was something he wished to find and at the same time hoped he didn't find the way it was. Beck loved that his girlfriend was waiting for him looking beautiful in his shirt and bed, but the look in her eyes dimmed his happiness about that. Jade was still awake and looked defeated and alone. Beck didn't hesitant to walk over to the bed and pull her into a loving embrace, which she returned with the same intensity. Today had taken a toll on her, that was for sure.

"What happened?" He asked when they pulled away, stroking her cheek lightly.

"I don't want to talk about it. Come to bed, it's late." Her words were soft and she looked vulnerable.

The underlying message was clear to Beck. She wanted him to hold her and just be there for her, so he nodded and changed quickly. When he lay down next to her, she immediately snuggled up to him and he tightened his arms around her. Beck could only hope that she felt better with him so close to her after they hadn't been able to be like this for two weeks. Jade's voice pulled him out of his thoughts and her words worried him even more, not because she didn't mean them but because his girlfriend barely talked about vulnerable feelings.

"I missed you."

"I did too. I love you Jade." She only leaned up for a short kiss as answer, but it was enough for Beck to know that she felt the same.

It seemed the evening had really exhausted Jade because she quickly fell asleep. Beck however couldn't. His girlfriend's behavior worried him and he couldn't wait until she would tell him, maybe if she felt like it, what had happened. He needed to know now. Carefully he removed Jade from his chest and gently lay her fully on the bed before standing up. Thankful she was a heavy sleeper and didn't wake up. He went over to his suitcase and was surprised when he stepped on something wet. There on the floor in his RV lay a beautiful blue dress that was completely drenched. When he had first entered his RV he hadn't seen it, his focus had been too much on Jade to see anything else. Now that he thought about it, her car wasn't in the driveway, so she must have walked here in the pouring rain. He needed to know what had happened and that as soon as possible. Right now he didn't care if his best friend was already asleep or not, he had some explaining to do, so he pulled out his phone and called Andre.

Andre greeted him casually, so prom probably had just ended, it wasn't that later after all. However Beck wasn't interested in small talk about his time in Canada, he only wanted to know what Jade had been through tonight. While Beck listened to Andre explaining that Jade had tried to ruin prom he checked The Slap for any other clues he might find. When he came across a picture his anger rose and he immediately cut Andre off.

"Why is there a photo of my girlfriend being carried away by a guy in diapers?"

Andre didn't seem to realize how angry his best friend was getting, because he laughed and told him that Tori made them prom queen and king to get rid of Jade. That was the last straw.

"You seriously want to tell me that you and the others left my girlfriend alone with a strange guy twice our age in a diaper?" His voice was sharp and his calm demeanor was gone.

"Look man, it was only a joke-"

"I don't care. You humiliated her and then you let her go with this diaper guy. On one photo on The Slap he has a hand high on her leg and who knows what happened afterwards. When I came home Jade didn't want to tell me and we tell each other everything that is important. If something bad happened to her we were friends for the longest time." With that he hung up, absolutely furious with all of his friends.

Beck looked a few more times through the pictures on The Slap hoping to find any other clues about this night, but he found none that could help him with Jade. Deciding he would let her sleep for now, he lay down next to her again and pulled her closer. Tomorrow he had to find out from her about this. Sleep didn't come easy to Beck that night and he only hope that tomorrow all of this turned out to be just a nightmare.

In the morning he was woken up by Jade making them coffee, which was strange because it was normally the other way around. She looked better today. Gone was the vulnerable look in her eyes and she was back to her usual self at least for now. When she gave him his coffee and sat down next to him on the bed he immediately lay an arm around her and pulled her closer. Smiling at his gesture she leaned up and placed a soft good morning kiss on his lips. It was good to be back, but there was still something that lay heavy on his heart. He knew that she would probably be annoyed that he had seen the pictures on The Slap, if she knew they existed, but he just had to ask her about the evening. When he did her reaction was different than he had thought it would be. She wasn't angry or sad, but looked at him thankfully as if she knew that he was only asking her to tell him because he was worried.

"I took care of Doug the diaper guy, he surely will be in pain for a while." She smirked, before she sighed and her eyes got distance. "Too bad no one took a photo of that, so now I will just be the prom queen of that idiot on Monday."

That was the moment when Beck knew that he couldn't let that happen, so he made a plan. Monday morning he got up even earlier than he had to and went over to his neighbor Ally. After a few minutes he got back to his RV and got ready. When he woke Jade up in a tuxedo her eyes widened and Beck had to smile at her expression. It wasn't every day that his girlfriend was speechless. However when Jade recovered she demanded to know what was going on. Beck only smiled and told her that he had already chosen her clothes for today and she should get ready. Jade normally didn't like to be told what to wear, but Beck knew that she would be too curious about what he was planning to not play along for a while.

When Jade came out of the bathroom, wearing a beautiful red and black dress, Beck hoped that when everyone would see her like this they would know that she really deserved to be prom queen. However first he had to explain his plan to Jade and see what she would say.

"So I borrowed these from Ally and her brother." He hold up two plastic crowns, thankfully the siblings had gone as prince and princess for last Halloween. "We're going to take a photo of the prom queen and her rightful king."

Beck wasn't sure if Jade would hit him for his idea and call him a sap, but when a genuine smile tugged on her lips and she kissed him, he knew that he had done the right thing. Jade deserved to be treated like a real queen and he would make sure that she wouldn't be humiliated in school today. They snapped a picture together and posted it on their The Slap pages. Without the crowns, because Jade insisted that she wouldn't wear this in public, but still dressed like that they drove to school.
