Song Wu promises...

Chapter 14 – Song Wu's promises

Yunhe ate the meal and took the medicine obediently without any complaints or requests leaving her lips as was the case in the past because she ardently wanted to talk to Song Wu.

However, she could not do this while her jailer remained on site.

She wanted to scream, scream and rave with fury because the merman had not yet left the enclosure, something that could be considered unusual.

After all, whenever she finished taking the medicine, he would get up and walk out the door, and then put back on all the magical locks that could only be opened by those who had the tokens capable of unlocking all the seals.

However, no matter how angry, annoyed or irritated she was at the moment, she showed nothing on her face, as she did in the Demonic Valley, at the same time as she maintained an exemplary conduct and as she compared her situation at that moment and when she was in the Valley, preferably at the front of those who had control and dominion over her life, the young woman managed to restrict her temperament, personality, feelings as well as thoughts as much as possible since she was a child, not allowing anything to show for the good of her friends and for herself.

The only difference between her current situation and the one she experienced in Demon Valley is that her restraint and pretense was to protect Sanyue and Li Shu, as well as keeping Luo Jinsang's existence hidden. In the Northern Kingdom she was to protect Song Wu.

After all, she had no doubt that if her jailer became aware that Song Wu treated her as a friend and that they both talked, he would transfer her to another location while at the same time putting someone else in her place who would come and go mute just like her the other maids because he would not accept Yunhe having interaction with anyone other than him, which in turn, was restricted.

For her friend, the young woman kept silent and restricted herself as she had done so many times in the past. No complaints or disrespect should come from her lips or gestures.

The demon master confessed that it felt strange to return to this old habit considering she had done it her entire life and believed that this feeling was because for six years she hadn't had to do it, with the exception of pretending not to care about Chang Yi when his torturer commented on him and the most ironic thing of all was that the only place where she had the freedom to act and say what she wanted, even if she faced the consequences like Shunde's brutal tortures, although she would torture Yunhe anyway, was in the Grandmaster's prison because there, in the northern lands after meeting Song Wu, she had to brutally restrict her personality and bind her tongue while having to keep her face impassive, making her vividly remember the time she lived in the Demonic Valley.

The problem was that he could feel her feelings and because of that greater suppression was needed to reduce the sensations that were taking over her while she knew that it would be impossible to suppress completely no matter how much she trained this control.

They both snap out of their respective thoughts with the knocking on the door which made Chang Yi speak as he turned his face slightly back, "Come in."

It was one of the palace servants who entered and bowed to him, speaking respectfully, "Beijing-Zunzhu, Kongming-daishi (daishi – master or great master, in addition to being used as a reference for someone who has great achievements in a certain area making others think that this person is powerful) has just arrived and wants to talk to you. He's in the office."

"Tell him I'll be with him soon."

"Yes, Zunzhu." The servant prostrates himself again before leaving.

Chang Yi sighs and stands up, his eyes passing over Yunhe and seeing that she briefly showed happiness although it was a fleeting moment, as well as feeling it from the bond between them, his fists clench as he is overcome with sadness and anger because he saw that his presence was unwanted, something that didn't happen before he marked it.

The jiaoren never regretted an act as much as at that moment when he forcibly marked someone because he believed that it was the mark that changed her conduct and behavior, with him seeing the former Yunhe of the Demonic Valley in front of him when she stood in front of the master from Demon Valley and other demon masters. Or rather, not the old one, but an even more restricted version.

Then, the merman leaves and after making sure that his jailer has left, a smile of joy appears on her face and when the door is opened again, it reveals Song Wu who enters, greeting her with his usual smile and then standing next to her. Yunhe's side.

"I'm glad your jailer is gone. Maybe he's not as busy as I expected him to be? I always thought a kingdom required a lot of attention."

"I've always thought that too. I think it's strange that he stays away from the kingdom's affairs.""

"It's strange, right? Even more so with the prospect of war."

"Absolutely. Well, considering how obstinate he is, he will stubbornly continue to follow the rules he made for himself regarding me by supervising my meals and medications."

Her friend feigns surprise and claps her palms together once while she breaks into a huge smile, then says excitedly, "Before I forget! Let's go to the bathroom."

The demon master is confused, but doesn't question it and with her help, she gets up and they both walk to the place, and then sit on the cold floor after closing the door hermetically.

Yunhe looks curiously at her friend as she watches her roll through the sleeves of her clothes until she takes out a small package wrapped in cloth, and then hands it to the young woman who starts to smell a delicious smell due to her enhanced senses and when she opens the object, your eyes become emotional. They were sweet cupcakes and looked delicious. For someone who ate the same food every day, this was a vision of paradise and her senses heightened by her demonic half made her salivate.

"Sorry to bring you to the bathroom. But, the sweets leave a lingering aroma in the air. After eating, you should take a shower to disperse the smell. Luckily, the maids who clean the place are human. But, the merman is a demon. Furthermore, a demon could appear among the maids to replace one of them. It's good to be careful. I also tried to memorize the cleaning schedule for this prison."

"True. They can smell it."

"You can eat in peace. I'll keep an eye on your ear. If I see him accessing the mark, I'll let you know."

"Thanks."

She takes the package as tears of gratitude well up in her eyes as she looks from the candy to Song Wu who pretends to be embarrassed as she comments, "I never imagined someone would be like this for some candy."

"I haven't tasted a sweet for six years and now I only taste the bitterness. That's why I cried with happiness. The smell is wonderful and it will certainly be immensely tasty."

"I'll bring you small portions of food different from what you eat, as well as sweets."

"Thank you very much."

She affectionately hugs Song Wu who strokes her back and while Yunhe ate slowly, trying to thoroughly savor each bite, with her taste buds feeling like they are in heaven, the woman asks, feigning curiosity on her face, "Could you tell me what you did to make this merman hate you like this and where were you before you came here?"

Yunhe sighs and tells what happened, hiding the truth of what he did, with Song Wu listening attentively, and then saying, "I don't believe the reasons you gave for your action. I believe the real reason was to save him from going to the Shunde bastard. Her fame precedes her."

She is surprised and then says, finishing swallowing the piece of candy that was in her mouth, "You've only known me for a while."

"Yes. But anyone who is not a blind man driven by revenge or precepts can see that the story you told is strange, in addition to having several points that do not fit into the narrative. Furthermore, I have met several cruel people in my life. life and you're not one of them. Maybe, it's your aura or something. What I see is someone capable of sacrificing themselves without blinking. Shunde is a bitch bastard. The merman would suffer at her hands, as well as be constantly humiliated. Your act saved him from that fate, but at the same time condemned her. I've heard rumors about what they do in prisons and considering you took away what the bastard wanted most, I imagine she tortured her in retaliation like any spoiled person does when she is deprived of what she most desires by the actions of another person. If the merman wasn't blinded by hatred, he would add up everything he experienced and would certainly arrive at the same result as mine. Shunde is a spoiled bitch and he was the prize that she yearned fervently. Once you took him from her, what did he think the bastard would do to you having unrestricted access to his prison? Besides, what advantage would you gain by taking it away? It's so obvious that only a stupid person wouldn't see it and I'm not stupid like this jiaoren is."

Yunhe is surprised and then smiles, knowing that it was impossible to deny her words because her new friend saw through her actions while being unaware of the fact that the woman in front of her had the means of knowing everything that happened and what would happen.

The demon master agreed with what was said because anyone who was not blind or stupid would find these inconsistencies and when thinking about Chang Yi, she is relieved that he was so overcome with hatred that he did not make this association or deeper investigation.

After all, she was dying and if Chang's revenge brought him satisfaction, so be it. Telling the truth would do no good and Yunhe could not allow herself to be a distraction because in the North there were many who depended on him and considering Shunde's madness and cruelty, as well as the Grandmaster's desire to take revenge on the world, the young girl believed that the North would soon be the only refuge left. It was a matter of time for the princess to take power from her brother who was currently the emperor because thanks to the support of the man considered a legend and the most powerful in the world, in addition to being untouchable, Ru Ling held more power than his own brother.

The young woman even confessed that she was surprised that Shunde hadn't taken power yet even though she knew it was only a matter of time.

After all, someone with her character was incapable of truly loving anyone, much less his family. Perhaps, what was needed was one last push in her life for her to make her move and end the life of the Emperor of Dacheng, even though he was her brother.

The problem was that if that happened, the court would enter a chaotic state and all a kingdom at war didn't need was a chaotic imperial court.

She comes out of her thoughts and holds both of her friend's hands after putting the food in the corner while begging, "Please don't tell anyone. I myself never revealed it to him no matter how many times he asked me what happened six years ago, back."

"Don't worry. I won't tell. After all, we are friends. It's up to you to tell the truth or not."

Yunhe is relieved by the promise and can enjoy the food again.

Then, she finishes eating the sweets and they both talk about some things until they stop talking when Song Wu sees that the mark starts to glow, with the woman making a gesture and then becoming invisible while the demon master stood up and used seals to run a bath, with Wu noticing that the mark stopped glowing almost instantly.

"He stopped watching her. Apparently he's not a pervert."

"I'm glad he's not a pervert, and he's remained very reserved and an immense defender of the code of etiquette between men and women even after everything that's happened. It's a great relief to know that even though he's changed, he still remains something from the old Chang Yi. I confess that I was delaying taking a shower for fear of him seeing me naked because the day I was taken out of the grandmaster's prison, he acted without the self-control and restrictions of the past. Therefore, I didn't know until where he changed and what was still left of the old Chang."

"No one can blame you for acting like this considering he can watch you, no matter where you are, as well as feel what you're feeling, although now you have additional means to help keep him from feeling it fully. Well, I have to go. I'll talk to Luo Jinsang and set a time for her to visit."

"Thank you very much and see you later."

"See you later. Take care."

Hiding the now empty cloth bundle in her sleeve, she leaves, then picking up the basket where the food was brought while at the same time collecting the dirty dishes to take back to the kitchen of the Northern palace while Yunhe went back to preparing the food your bath to remove any sweet odors on your body and the environment.

After all, if her jailer smelled it, she would find out about Song Wu and she would once again be left without any contact with the outside world as she would be deprived of any interaction, in addition to no longer being able to taste delicious food.

Far away, as he walked towards his office, he ignored the demons who looked at him with desire, as well as the humans, with some approaching when they had some report to report when they were his servants or subordinates while it was visible the fact that many of them trying to leave their physical characteristics on display, making him move away as soon as possible while sighing because before marking Yunhe, the jiaoren was not interested in other females and now, with the mark, they were completely uninteresting and could not even stir up his libido that was reserved exclusively for those he marked.

In fact, even if they were naked and danced erotically, they wouldn't get any reaction from him. The bond was deep and very powerful for whoever marked it as long as it was a demon at the same time that it did not influence the libido and desires of humans because they were not influenced unlike demons who felt the full weight and influence of the bond.

In addition to having to dodge the females, he needed to refuse Luo Jisang's requests to see Yunhe every two days while he also had to ignore the Jade Phoenix's requests to see her, with the legendary demon starting to request these visits from the day previous, with the merman knowing that she made these requests because Jisang had asked for her help.
