Ugh… curse you Alatreon! You and your stupid elemental DPS check is making me have nightmares! Hey, UknownHero here and welcome to another chapter of Senran Persona. Okay, let me vent about Monster Hunter and say…the black dragon is not fun. Behemoth was fun. It was a raid battle, and you had to treat it as a raid with roles and shit. Safi'jiva was fun because you were slowly whittling down a monster and it was a team effort! Alatreon is NOT fun. Health should be your capacity to make mistakes, not a resource that must be sacrificed! If you have to heal through an attack to survive it, to have a very specific build to stand a chance, then it sucks! Great Sword isn't built for Elemental Damage! It's a good fight otherwise but that nuke just…why? I know preparation and getting better is the point but wow, you need friends that I do not have!
Okay. Done. Onto the reviews. To Yu Narukaze: Asuka and Homura have their own stories, which in turn affect Akira. They're trying to better themselves in any way possible, which is why they have social stats. Admittingly, Asuka doesn't use them at any point but…look, we're just trying to make a fun story here.
Anyways, that's it! Time to sit down and shut up.
Load Game… Start!
Chapter 43: Crimson-White Shadows
(6/3, Early Morning)
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
The two had just gotten out of the bath after using the Courage on Parade shampoo, increasing the brunette's Courage while increasing the tan skinned girl's Understanding as a result.
"Man, nothing like the bath to wake you up." Homura breathed out as she dried off her body.
"Hai, and smelling like oranges is even better." Asuka replied. "...Though we still gotta resupply after the theft of one of our precious shampoos." She then reminded with a pout on her face.
"Is it ironic that we're Thieves but we got something stolen from us?" Homura asked with a sigh.
"I'll buy more Homu-nee." Asuka reminded once more.
"I know, but I am genuinely curious if that's considered ironic." Homura got out. "But why steal our shampoo of all things anyway? I mean, they're nice but..." She added before trailing off.
"Well they do work wonders Homu-nee." Asuka pointed out. "Moh...I bet they're using it all up right now without any control..." She then grumbled.
(Hebijo Base)
Meanwhile, with Homura's team, they were preparing to use the shampoo without any control as they were using the showers to wash up.
"Well then, let's begin the experiment~" Haruka began with an excited gleam in her eyes.
"Eh? What do you mean Haruka-chan?" Yomi asked while washing herself.
"Oh~ I may have fiddled and experimented with the shampoo a little last night~" Haruka vaguely informed.
"Okay, I'm getting out!" Yomi called out as she tried to escape.
"Oh no Yomi-san, you too~" Haruka ordered in a sickly sweet tone.
"No way! I know something's going to go wrong and ruin my bean sprouts!" Yomi got out.
"Why did you bring your bean sprout plants anyways?" Hikage asked.
"Just in case." Yomi simply answered. "We are not living off fast food! We can consist entirely of bean sprouts while we're here." She soon declared with pride.
"...Yeah, no." Hikage got out as she turned her shower on. "Just pass the bottle already." She then requested.
"Hai hai~" Haruka replied as she did as requested.
"Hikage! Don't hog all the shampoo!" Mirai cried out in a whiny tone.
"Now now Mirai, you'll get to use it too." Haruka replied.
"What exactly did you do to the shampoo?" Yomi however asked.
"Only added a few things to boost its lalent effects like sugar, maltose, rat milk, ethylene glycol monoacetate, dog milk, bean sprout extract..." Haruka replied while listing off the ingredients.
"Wait, was that last one?" Yomi asked in shock.
"Dog milk?" Haruka innocently replied.
"You didn't." Yomi began to accuse.
"I don't know what you're talking about~" Haruka responded.
As the greenette washed and lathered her head, the suds gave off a pinkish glow for a brief moment. "...Why do I feel like shopping for the cutest clothes as well as performing delicate tasks with my hands?" Hikage bluntly asked, though she kept going with washing her head.
"Ah, there's the imprinting effect~" Haruka revealed in excitement as she noticed the other blonde stealthy trying to leave and get dressed. "Get back here, Yomi-san~!" She called out as she ran out after her.
"You'll never take me alive!" Yomi declared before running away.
Haruka could only sigh before summoning a puppet. "You aren't getting away, Yomi-san~!" She called out as she chased after the girl in the hideout, not bothering to get dressed.
Meanwhile, the greenette looked at herself in a nearby mirror. "Mmm...I could use some new clothes." She casually admitted. "And maybe, like, go to a salon or somethin' to, like, get my hair and makeup done to get a totes fresh look." She then added, speaking in her usual flat tone while those ideas sound appealing to her.
"Is...Is this a heart attack? Am I having a heart attack?" Mirai got out in confusion and in a panic.
"Gotcha Yomi-chan~!" Haruka happily declared, enveloping the other blonde's head into her chest.
"NOOOOO!" Yomi cried out as she flailed her arms to try and get free.
As Haruka and Yomi fought, Mirai and Hikage's Femininity and Proficiency increased greatly while they watched.
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
"I swear, I'll have my revenge once we find them." Asuka growled.
"We both will Sis, we both will indeed." Homura declared in agreement.
BZZT! BZZT!
Soon, both girls heard their phones buzzing as they went over and got a hold of them and turned them on, holding the towels covering their chests with their free hands.
[Negative8Degrees: Phantom Thieves meeting after school.]
[Negative8Degrees: Homura and Akira have some explaining to do...]
[Negative8Degrees: I-If that's alright with you Leader.]
[TheWildJ0ker:...Of course. Shin Megami Apartment Complex.]
The tan skinned girl cringed as Asuka looked straight into her eyes. "Face the consequences of your actions, Homu-nee..." She soon stated in an ominous tone.
"...I'm a bad girl Sis..." Homura mumbled out in a dead tone.
"Yes you are. Now come on, we have to get ready for school." Asuka replied as she went off to get dressed.
"Yes Sis..." Homura obediently responded in the same dead tone while following suit.
(6/3, Afterschool)
(Shujin Academy, Classroom)
RING RING RING!
Akira yawned as he stretched his limbs. "God, can Sunday come any slower?" He got out.
"I know that feeling." Ann admitted in agreement before remembering. "Oh yeah, we have a meeting today. Are we going to Mementos?"
"It depends on how the meeting goes." Akira replied.
"Eh, I'm honestly getting used to it. And this is coming from the girl who used to sleep in classes." Homura surprisingly admitted. "So, do you want to head over now or you have something to do right now?" She then asked.
"Uh...yeah. You guys go on ahead. I have some stuff to do at school." Akira answered as he got up from his seat.
"Me too. Just a quick check on the committee." Homura replied.
"Alright. See you there." Ann got out as she left the classroom.
"Yeah. Ok, I'll meet you guys at the apartment, I gotta do some quick shopping." Asuka informed before heading out. "See ya!"
"Yep, see you later Sis!" Homura called out...right before slamming her head on her desk. "Oh we are so doomed..." She mumbled out in despair.
"It was bound to happen Homura." Akira admitted. "It won't be that bad."
"Akira, they won't take us getting attacked so easily." Homura argued. "They're going to freak out!" She then declared.
"It'll be fine." Akira assured.
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
It was not.
"YOU WERE WHAT!?" The other Thieves all exclaimed.
"You told me you tripped and cut your shoulder on a curb!" Morgana called out.
"Er, sorry. Didn't want to worry you too much." Akira apologized.
"Dude, you have to tell us shit like this!" Ryuji yelled out.
"To be fair, it happened a few days ago and it slipped my mind." Akira pointed out.
"WHAT!?" The other Thieves all exclaimed...again.
"Guys! It's fine! It's likely that they were targeting me. Akira was just collateral." Homura tried to reassure.
"Oh, so our Leader almost died because he was just there!?" Ann called out, totally not reassured.
"U-Um...at least we didn't bust ourselves as Phantom Thieves?" Akira replied, albeit a bit awkward.
"I...I...Oh my God!" Ann shouted out as she put her hands into her face. "You almost died..." She once more stated in a flabbergasted manner.
"Yes, I think we've established that." Akira muttered out. "Look, it's really no excuse, but we have bigger things to worry about." He then stated.
"YOU! ALMOST! DIED!" Ann loudly reminded once more.
"Okay, the next time someone else here almost gets killed, please call and tell us." Yumi soon requested in a serious tone.
"Please don't break me Yumi..." Homura mumbled out.
"THAT IS YUMI-DONO!" Yumi and surprisingly Asuka declared in unison.
"H-HAI YUMI-DONO! I-I understand!" Homura fearfully stammered out in a squeaky voice.
"...I don't know who whips Homura more: Asuka or Yumi." Akira thought with a sweatdrop while slightly nervous.
"Ugh...it just hit me." Ryuji groaned out. "We're gonna have to fight shinobi now." He then reminded.
Very quickly, an uncomfortable silence came over them as they realised just how screwed they were.
"Can we really stand up to other shinobi?" Yusuke asked all of a sudden. "We cannot rely on Yumi-senpai and such all the time after all." He then added.
"Why do you think I'm suddenly training you all?" Homura soon stated, gaining their attention. "I don't know how much time we have until another attack, but I will make sure you're prepared for any situation. This is essentially my fault and I have to make up for it. I apologize for all of this..." She then explained followed by the apology in a shame filled tone as she bowed to the others.
"H-Hey, we know what we signed up for as soon as we found out who you are." Ryuji got out. "Besides, if we can fight Shadows in the Metaverse, we can fight shinobi in reality. You know, with the right trainin'." He then added.
"And that's why," Akira started as he handed the tan skinned girl some money. "Homura's training you today in Agility, Ryuji." He soon instructed. "You wanna run faster, right?" He then asked.
"Wait what?" The dyed blond got out in confusion.
The tan skinned girl soon grinned to that while pocketing the money. "Ohohohoh~ This is gonna be fun~" Homura laughed out as she rubbed her hands together.
"Wait, what the eff's happenin'?" Ryuji once more asked as the tan skinned girl grabbed his shoulder.
"Any last words?" Homura asked with an evil smirk.
"Good luck!" Ann called out.
"Don't kill him!" Morgana added.
"And have fun!" Akira finished with a thumbs up.
"Isn't it supposed to be my last words!?" Ryuji exclaimed. "Help me!" He called out in a begging manner.
"Okay, those are your last words, see you guys in an hour! SHINOBI KEKKEI!" Homura declared with excitement.
"WAIT-" Ryuji called out, only to vanish with the tan skinned girl.
Yusuke blinked as he rubbed his eyes. "...I just blinked but I feel like I just didn't." He then got out.
"You get used to it." Akira and Ann off-handedly replied.
"She's really having fun with that, huh." Yumi deadpanned as she looked at the Leader. "Was it your idea to pay her for her services?" She then questioned.
"Um...I actually forgot. I just throw money at her at this point." Akira admitted with a shrug. "...And I sort of caused her to have less chances of getting a job in the first place and basically made her desperate for money." He sheepishly admitted.
"Really? I just thought it was her general unemployability, lack of papers and work experience." Morgana got out.
"That's only part of it. I sort of got all the jobs like the Flower Shop, Beef Bowl Shop and the Convenience Store." Akira corrected.
"There are, like, other jobs out there." Ann pointed out. "Those are all in Shibuya, right? We can probably find one for her if we look hard enough." She then suggested.
"I don't know about that. Homu-nee is kinda stubborn and wants to find one herself." Asuka got out. "She feels like she doesn't want to burden us with helping her find one...which is why she rejected the suggestion to become a model as well Ann-chan." She then added and awkwardly informed.
"You suggested modeling for Homura?" Ann asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah. I thought she could." Asuka sheepishly admitted.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think Shinkukage-san would make a good model." Yusuke admitted.
"Okay, that's what I've been wondering all this time." Akira groaned out. "Why didn't you choose Homura as well when we met on the last day of exams?" He soon asked.
"I have my reasons." Yusuke simply answered, causing the Leader to sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose.
"So...what are we going to do for now until Homura and Ryuji get back?" Ann awkwardly asked.
"Well, how about we discuss our future strategies in the meantime?" Morgana soon suggested.
"What do you mean by that, Mona-chan?" Asuka questioned as she raised an eyebrow.
"Well, we need a contingency plan in case we are discovered as Phantom Thieves or shinobi and they aren't willing to keep it a secret or use it as blackmail to make us do whatever they want." Morgana explained. "We need to be a lot more careful considering what we know, especially since we have Lady Yumi, Lady Asuka and Lady Homura here." He then added.
"True, we must be careful and not keep any more secrets between us from now on." Yumi stated in agreement and with a nod as she petted the not cat's head.
"Plus, we have Black Mask to worry about and I have the feeling that they aren't afraid of killing." Akira added. "So let's nut this out." He then decided.
"...Nut?" Yumi and Asuka got out in confusion.
"I mean figure! Figure this out." Akira corrected himself. "Alright, anyone have any ideas?" He soon asked.
"Blackmail." Yumi instantly suggested.
The other Thieves blinked at that. "...Okay, no." Akira got out. "That's...n-no." He then added.
"Well, if you need it." Yumi simply offered.
"Noted." Akira replied with a sweatdrop. "Um...Dammit, what was that brainwash spell called...?" He then muttered out as he snapped his fingers to try and remember it.
"Marin Karin." Morgana answered.
"There we go." Akira got out. "Why don't we use that on them?" He then suggested
"Okay, well, raise your hand if your Persona knows Marin Karin." Morgana soon instructed.
In response...no one did so.
"I'll take care of it." Akira spoke up. "Besides, I'm probably the most likely they'll confront." He then added.
"How do you know that?" Ann soon asked.
"Because considering my luck, they probably will." Akira bluntly replied.
"Yeah, one problem though. You can't bring them to Mementos and you can't make a Shinobi Kekkei." Yumi pointed out. "I don't think that approach will work." She then stated.
"Can you teach me how to make a Shinobi Kekkei then?" Akira then asked both shinobis in a no nonsense tone.
"Erm...I guess so..." Asuka muttered out as she scratched the back of her head before looking at the other shinobi girl. "You up for it Yumi-chan?" She then asked.
"Hmm...I'm sure Akira-san has sufficient power to create one. It will take some time though." Yumi muttered to herself before nodding. "Yes, we shall teach you how to create one." She soon decided. "I believe we should begin right away." She then stated.
"Really? No special equipment or like, chakra training or something?" Akira got out with a raised eyebrow.
"Uh Akira, I don't think shinobis are like that manga with chakra and all of that." Ann pointed out.
This however got both girls attention. "Manga? Chakra?" They repeated in confusion and with tilts of their heads.
"It's nothing you need to worry about. So, what do I need to do?" Akira replied followed by the question.
The two shinobi nodded at that as they took the Leader aside and began getting to work, slowly teaching their Leader on how to create a Shinobi Kekkei.
"So, what do we do?" Ann soon asked the remaining members.
Grrrr...
The dark blue haired boy visibly flinched as he saw his senpai pause her lesson. "Yusuke-san...did you eat today?" Yumi questioned.
"...No, senpai." Yusuke replied.
"Did you buy art supplies again instead?" Yumi once more questioned.
"...Yes, senpai." Yusuke hesitantly responded.
"T-There are snacks in the kitchen. If you want to follow along, you can." Asuka informed.
"Thank you." Yusuke replied as he got up and went to get a snack.
"And if there's any potato related snacks, do not water them down at your attempt at making a potato salad." Yumi however ordered.
"...Should I ask?" Ann deadpanned.
"No." Yumi automatically replied before turning back to the Leader.
Yumi was quite surprised as Akira was able to do the hand signs to create a barrier quite quickly. However, trying to do them in rapid succession caused him to mess up.
"Ok Akira-kun, you try now." Asuka soon requested.
"You just have to concentrate and repeat the instructions we gave you." Yumi then stated.
"Okay. Here goes nothing." Akira muttered to himself as he took a deep breath, closed his eyes and went through the hand signs. "And...Shinobi Kekkei!" He called out.
...
...
...
"...Nothing happened." Yusuke stated.
"Dammit." Akira cursed under his breath before trying again.
But try as he might, nothing still happened.
"Hmm, it looks like you need more Proficiency to make one Akira-kun." Asuka deducted.
"Yes, being able to construct a Shinobi Kekkai takes a proficient amount of effort to do so." Yumi replied in agreement.
"I see." Akira responded with a nod of understanding. "Just another thing I have to work for then." He then added in his head while adjusting his glasses with a rebellious smirk on his face.
"Well, once you feel as though you're proficient enough, give us a call and we'll finish your lesson." Yumi requested.
Akira nodded in response. "Okay, we have a way to make sure our secrets are protected. Is there anything else?" He soon stated and asked.
"Uh, we need a code or a phrase we can say or text to warn everyone. Like uh...banana bread or something." Ann suggested.
"Maybe something like a shinobi announcement for our group." Asuka soon suggested.
"Penis popicicles." Yusuke offered.
SMACK!
Only to get struck over the head by Yumi.
"NO!" The girls and Morgana denied immediately.
"It has to be discreet. Something that wouldn't be too surprising to say in conversation but something that isn't normal. At least amongst our group." Akira soon stated.
"...Arsene." Asuka suddenly got out as it dawned on her. "We can just use our Personas." She soon suggested.
"Hey, that sounds pretty good." Ann got out. "Unless anyone has any objections?" She then asked. Everyone quickly shook their heads in response.
"Okay, as soon as you say your Persona's name, we'll assume you're in trouble and that we're at risk of being exposed." Morgana stated.
"But what will we do in the event that phrase is used?" Yusuke questioned. "Do we rush to their side?" He then asked.
"...Huh. I guess we should've thought of that first." Asuka awkwardly mumbled out. "Maybe just me, Homu-nee and Yumi-chan should since we're technically the fastest out of all of us." She then suggested.
"Yes. We can create a Shinobi Kekkei for Akira-kun, who will then brainwash whoever is threatening us into forgetting everything about the Phantom Thieves and then go about our day." Yumi replied in agreement while adding on to the suggestion.
"Okay. I'll go to the Velvet Room as soon as I can to make a Persona with Marin Karin." Akira got out with a nod.
"More guillotines..." Asuka and Yumi meanwhile mumbled out in sadness to the thought.
"Hey, they don't actually die and it's perfectly natural...I think." Akira tried to comfort the two shinobi.
"Still, there are two days left..." Ann soon muttered out with a frown.
"To what?" Asuka asked in confusion.
"The original end date of the exhibit." Ann reminded.
"Oh, I thought you were talking about the runway audition choosing." Asuka mumbled out. "But hell...Madarame's still bedridden, right Yusuke-kun?" She then asked.
"Actually...he's out of bed as of this morning. He's begun making calls." Yusuke informed.
"Really?" Asuka and Yumi asked in unison, surprised to hearing that.
"Yes." The young artist replied. "I'm just not sure what it is about though. I had to go to school after all but it seems that he's preparing for something." Yusuke soon revealed.
"He must have had his change of heart by now, right?" Ann asked with a worried look on her face. "I mean...he could still press charges and..." She continued before trailing off.
"We will just have to see." Yumi responded in a calm tone. "At this point we can't worry about it. All we can do is wait." She then added.
"I agree." Akira got out with a nod. "It was a job well done and we did all we could."
"And it gave closure for Yusuke-san and myself." Yumi added while nodding in agreement.
"Let's just hope it all works out then." Morgana concluded.
At that moment suddenly, the tan skinned girl and the dyed blond reappeared in the apartment, only appearing to be scuffed up a bit.
"Hey." Homura simply greeted as she sat down and relaxed herself.
"Hey yourself. How was the training?" Akira asked.
"Ryuji was actually a great student. We even had time to work on his Endurance." Homura informed with a proud smile.
"Phew! God that sucked...but I feel...kinda good now." Ryuji admitted while wiping the sweat off his forehead before placing his hands on his knees in exhaustion.
Ryuji's Agility has increased!
BONUS! Ryuji's Endurance has increased!
"Huh, I'm surprised you didn't collapse." Ann admitted as she blinked a couple of times.
"It's gonna take a lot more to take me down!" Ryuji declared as he thumped his chest.
"Three, two, one." Homura counted down before...
THUD!
The dyed blond fell to the ground with swirls in his eyes.
"I guess everyone has their good days." Morgana noted. "Hmm...maybe you should factor in our mood when choosing who to train." He then suggested.
"Is he still breathing?" Yusuke asked in concern.
Akira then went towards the dyed blond and placed two fingers to his neck. "Still has a pulse." He casually informed.
"Well, I guess that marks the end of the meeting." Asuka got out. "It's too late to go to Mementos now." She then added.
"Mementos?" Yumi repeated in a curious manner.
"We'll show you it later." Homura replied. "But for now, everyone should head home now." She then suggested.
"Alright. I'll see you guys tomorrow then." Akira got out as he stood up and stretched his limbs.
"Um...Can someone carry Ryuji home?" Morgana asked as he poked the dyed blond's shoulder. "I don't think he's conscious right now..." He then added.
"I'll do it. I have experience lifting males thanks to Yusuke-san." Yumi offered and explained as she threw him over her shoulder.
"Wait, do you even know where he lives?" Homura asked before blinking. "You know, I realised how dumb that sentence was about a quarter of a way through it." She awkwardly got out.
"I keep forgetting you have an information network across all of Tokyo..." Yusuke admitted.
Yumi simply giggled in amusement. "In any case, I will see you tomorrow." She replied as she left with the dyed blond in tow. Yusuke nodded before he followed her out.
"Alright, well, see you guys later." Ann breathed out as she got up and left.
"I'll make sure to work on my Proficiency tonight." Akira assured them as he stood up while the not cat leapt into his bag. "Besides, I'm low on lockpicks." He mentally added as he left.
"Huh?" Homura got out in confusion as the two were alone now.
"Oh yeah, Yumi-chan and I are teaching Akira-kun how to make a Shinobi Kekkei." Asuka happily informed with a smile.
"...Eh?" Homura responded once more in confusion to hearing that while blinking a couple of times, causing her roommate to giggle. "Explain it in the bath, ok?" She then requested.
"Hai." Asuka replied with a smile and a nod. "Oh yeah, bought some more shampoo, so we'll be good for a while this time." She then informed.
"Good, you choose this time." Homura replied as the two headed for the bathroom and stripped themselves down.
(Hebijo Base)
Meanwhile with the Hebijo's team, they had spent the day split up around the city performing their own tasks, collecting everything they needed to confront Homura at the end of the week.
"Huh, I guess we're the first ones back." Mirai got out as she and the second year blonde arrived back at the base, seeing that there was no one else there at the moment.
"So it seems Mirai-chan." Yomi replied with a nod of agreement. "So, any luck with Untouchable?" She soon asked.
"A little. That guy is really perceptive. He knew I was digging for info and deflected my questions before kicking me out." Mirai answered. "But it was definitely where Homura got her weapons. I checked some other shops and they just didn't match the quality he had." She then informed.
"Okay, so we found her supplier of model weapons. Now we need to know why." Yomi stated.
"So how was your side of things Yomi-oneechan?" Mirai soon asked.
"Well, since everyone refuses to give me Homura-chan's address, I checked the school again." Yomi replied before gritting her teeth. "That principal must be so rich to be so plump and round...a disgusting slob that needs a few bean sprouts." She then declared in a vile tone.
"Hm, Homura did mention someone called Principal Lardball in a report." Mirai remembered. "Anything else?" She then asked.
"Well, Homura-chan didn't seem all that enthusiastic today. She looked miserable." Yomi revealed in concern.
"Hmm...maybe it's that Homura's actually bored and wants to cut loose." Mirai guessed.
"Well, it has been at least three months since she had a good fight. You know how she is when it comes to fighting." Yomi muttered out and reminded.
"Yeah. I'd hate to see her after a year." Mirai got out, only to hear someone arriving at the base.
"I'm back~" Haruka called out.
"Good evening." Yomi greeted as the other blonde entered and made herself known. "How was your day?" She soon asked.
"It went quite well." Haruka answered before remembering what happened earlier today. "Ah, Suzune-sensei called me while I was out." She soon informed.
This in response surprised the other girls. "Did she give us any new orders?" Mirai asked.
Haruka in response nodded. "Hai, she told me that we should focus on gathering any possible evidence against Homura-chan so once we confront her, she can't deny anything and will be forced to admit her actions." She soon revealed.
"Ugh, I feel like we're the police or something..." Mirai muttered out as she rolled her eye.
"Well, we are the judge, jury and executioners in this situation." Yomi pointed out.
"Wait, where's Hikage?" Mirai soon asked as she noticed that the greenette wasn't with her.
"She must be running late." Haruka replied. "We decided to split up to cover more ground." She then explained.
"I forgot. What was she doing again?" Yomi asked.
"Grocery run." Haruka answered. "I'm gonna go check the perimeter quickly and add some puppets for defensive measures." She then informed as she left the hideout once more.
"Ok." Yomi replied as she settled herself in. "I hope Hikage-san's alright, she was subjected to Haruka-san's experiment." She soon reminded in concern for the greenette.
However at the moment...
"I'm back." A familiar emotionless voice called out.
"Ah, welcome back Hikage-san." Yomi greeted with eye smiles and relief to hearing the familiar voice.
"Yup." Hikage replied as she entered, however...
"H-HUH!?" Mirai exclaimed in confusion.
"Hm?" Yomi hummed in confusion before opening her eyes, soon widening to see the greenette. "H-Hikage-san!?" She got out in shock.
Hikage was wearing a blue loose fitting polo shirt with loose sleeves and a short cream yellow skirt that slightly showed her panties and heeled sandals on her feet. Her hair meanwhile seemed different as well, like it was done up by a hairstylist and now done where her right eye was covered by her hair and the other side was held by two black hair pins. "Sup." She bluntly greeted once more with a short wave before going back on her phone.
"W-Why do you look so different!?" Mirai soon asked.
"Felt like shopping. Then went to the salon and got my hair and makeup done." Hikage simply replied. "It was pretty relaxing actually. Thinking of going to a spa in the future sometime." She then admitted while shrugging her shoulders.
"Wait, where did you get those clothes?" Yomi questioned, her eye twitching. They looked...so wasteful.
"The Underground Mall in Shibuya. 50% off sale." Hikage simply replied while browsing on her phone.
"Grrr...! YOU DIDN'T NEED THOSE!" Yomi called out. "You already have perfectly good clothes!" She then declared.
"Can it." Hikage bluntly responded while narrowing her eyes.
This however surprised the two. "P-Pardon?" Yomi got out in shock.
"I finally have desires other than living. So I shall pursue those desires as I see fit." Hikage informed. "And right now, I want you to tone it down with your hate towards rich people. It's stupid." She then added in the same blunt manner.
"W-What? You...!" Yomi growled out. "This isn't about that! You just blatantly wasted our money! She then declared.
"It isn't a waste if I look cute though." Hikage countered in a surprisingly smug manner.
"Well, you do look cute." Yomi soon begrudgingly admitted while examining the greenette's appearance.
"D-Did you spend all our money on that crap!?" Mirai exclaimed. "And since when did she start talking back like that?" She meanwhile thought in confusion.
"No." Hikage replied. "I bought more of that shampoo too on the way back at a shop called Body Chop." She then added.
"But that was our spending money!" Mirai exclaimed her reminder. "Did you even buy food!?" She then asked.
"Of course I did." Hikage replied as she placed the bag of groceries on the table.
In response, both girls went to the bag and opened it to look inside. "...It's just a bag of berries." Mirai pointed out. "A single bag of berries." She then added.
"Goji berries. Chocolate covered." Hikage simply informed.
"Uh...why?" Mirai then asked in confusion.
"Because it's good for you." Hikage replied.
"A single bag. For four people." Mirai pointed out.
"...If you say it like that, you make it seem like it was a waste of money." Hikage countered.
"...I'm starting to think Haruka-sama's shampoo experiment affected you more than we thought." Mirai admitted in concern.
"And you know, this is exactly the situation that I brought the bean sprouts for." Yomi soon got out in a smug tone.
The greenette however narrowed her eyes again to that remark. "So annoying." Hikage bluntly muttered in annoyance before licking her lips, causing her to raise an eyebrow. "...Why do I taste blue?" She suddenly asked before...
SPRONG!
"...Oh my God." Yomi quietly got out in disbelief and a scarlet blush on her face.
"I'm back with- helllloooo~" Haruka greeted before becoming more interested with an excited gleam in her eyes.
"I-I expected something but not this!" Mirai muttered out, her visible eye widened in shock.
You know, it wasn't every day you see a man's parts.
Hikage then looked down, blinked a couple of times at the bulge coming from her panties, mentally hearing an elephant's cry before standing up and turning to the other third year. "Haruka. Fix. NOW!" She demanded, the last part being a rare spur of emotions as a venomous purple colored aura surrounding her body.
"Hikage-kun, just stay calm for now." Haruka calmly suggested. "And stop staring, Mirai." She then added.
The first year in response snapped out of her dazed state. "N-No I'm not!" She declared in a flustered manner. "F-Futanari..." She meanwhile thought while rapidly shaking her head.
"Haruka. NOW!" Hikage once more demanded, her eyes now glowing yellow. "And don't call me Hikage-kun!" She then ordered.
However, it was kinda ruined halfway through considering that her voice suddenly cracked, sounding much, much deeper, causing the girls to pale.
"Eh?" Yomi got out in even more confusion.
"Uh oh." Haruka got out, not expecting this.
"No way..." Mirai muttered in denial at what was happening.
"YOUR EXPERIMENTS IS TURNING ME INTO A GUY! FIX THIS!" Hikage declared and demanded in a panic before realizing something. "...Is this what feelings feel like!?" She thought before shaking it off. This wasn't the time! "AND WHY WASN'T MIRAI AFFECTED YOU BITCH!?" She then asked with fury.
This in turn caused the first year to pale even more as She remembered she too used the experimental altered shampoo. "HURRY AND FIX IT HARUKA-SAMA!" Mirai exclaimed.
"Hold on, we must wait and observe-" Haruka however started, but then...
STREEETCH! BOING BOING!
"Eh?" They got out as they slowly turned to the first year...who also changed.
"...Again Haruka...you're a bitch." Hikage bluntly declared while glaring. "I'll kill you for this." She then added in a no nonsense tone.
Everyone was now staring at Mirai, who was now as tall as a third year and the boobs to match, though it did tore at her clothes a bit. "...Actually, don't fix me! Fix Hikage from becoming a guy Haruka-sama!" She soon declared with delight.
"Hmm...I liked you better when you were short..." Haruka lamented.
"W-Wait, they're getting bigger! Why are they getting bigger!?" Mirai exclaimed...right before her boobs ballooned even more. "AH! TOO BIG! TOO BIG! AH! I CAN'T SEE!" She cried out before tipping forward, unable to handle the weight of her breasts.
Haruka meanwhile had the same excited gleam in her eyes to the sights in front of her. "Ara ara, all these test results! I'll get to work on fixing it, but maybe you could-" She replied and started, however...
"FIX THIS NOW!" Hikage and Mirai interrupted...just as the greenette's boobs started deflating.
"NO! MY BOOBS! I DON'T WANNA BE A GUY!" Hikage cried out in despair while cupping them in her hands.
"OH GOD THEY KEEP GROWING! HARUKA-SAMA!" Mirai exclaimed in a panic while flailing her arms.
"How fascinating though..." Haruka meanwhile got out as she examined the two...while also preventing herself from being throttled by the changing greenette. "Wow, you have such manly hands, Hikage-kun." She then admitted in an impressed manner.
"STOP CALLIN' ME THAT AND FIX THIS!" Hikage demanded with fury.
"But you have so much emotion now!" Haruka countered with delight.
"THAT'S IT! DIE!" Hikage roared as she lunged at the blonde.
"...I'm gonna grow my bean sprouts." Yomi deadpanned as she walked away from the chaos, hoping that this would all get fixed by tomorrow.
(6/3, Evening)
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
The two shinobi were soon winding down for the night after the meeting, however at the moment...
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Homu-nee, can you get that?" Asuka called out from within the bathroom.
Homura in response nodded to that. "Sure thing, Sis." She casually replied as she went to the apartment door and opened it. "Who is it?" She then asked, though she wasn't really looking.
"This is Room 269, isn't it? I'm looking for a Shinkukage-san." A rather kind and polite voice replied.
The tan skinned girl in turn blinked to that question. "Yeah..." Homura got out in a suspicious manner as she then looked at who was asking, causing her to silently gasp.
The woman standing outside of the apartment door had brown hair tied in a ponytail with a white ribbon, hazel eyes, a white short sleeved blouse and a long green palette skirt and simple white slip on shoes.
The tan skinned girl meanwhile kept looking at the older woman in disbelief. "D-Did Asuka never mention having an actual sister!?" Homura frantically thought. "Wait, didn't she say she was an only child...?" She then added to her thoughts in confusion.
"Would you mind closing your mouth and letting me in? We don't want flies, do we?" The woman soon suggested in an amused tone as she then brought her hand out and closed the tan skinned girl's mouth. "That's better." She then added in a satisfied tone.
The tan skinned girl however wasn't phased by this as she blinked in disbelief. "Who...Who the hell are you!?" Homura asked in confusion.
At that moment however, the brunette walked out of the bathroom and saw who was at that door, causing her to gasp in a surprised manner. "Mama!?" Asuka exclaimed.
The woman in turn giggled to that. "Good evening honey, you are looking well." She replied as she rubbed the brunette's head in an affectionate manner.
"Wait what?" Homura got out in confusion as she looked at the older woman as she came into their apartment. "Holy shit, Sis really takes after her mom!" She thought as she looked at what appeared to be an older version of her roommate.
Unaware of her roommate's thoughts, an excited smile soon came across Asuka's face as she then hugged the woman. "You came to visit!?" She soon asked.
The older woman merely smiled at that. "Of course honey, a mother should always visit her daughter, even if she is training as a shinobi or on an undercover mission." Asuka's mother replied as she rubbed the girl's head.
Homura in turn shook her head to get herself out of her shocked state. "R-Right, you were a shinobi too..." She quietly muttered. "Um...h-hello ma'am, I'm Homura Shinkukage." She awkwardly introduced herself.
The older woman merely smiled softly to the tan skinned girl's awkward antics. "It is nice to finally meet you Homura Shinkukage-chan, I'm Megumi. Call me Shirokage-san if you must." Asuka's mother then introduced herself in a motherly tone. "Asuka has mentioned you a lot whenever she calls me." She then informed.
"O-Oh..." Homura got out. "A-And what has she said about me?" She soon asked.
Megumi in response just began rubbing the tan skinned girl's head as her daughter continued hugging her. "Quite a few things Homura-chan." She simply replied.
To that, Asuka ended her hug with her mother as she looked at her roommate with a more serious expression. "It was mainly about how we became good friends and about what happened to you...and how you were deceived..." She soon revealed.
Homura's eyes slightly widened to both the older woman's head pat and the reveal, but she quickly calmed herself as she lowered her head. "I...I see...so you know what happened to me back in middle school...how I was manipulated..." She got out in a more depressed tone as shadows covered her eyes.
The older woman in turn nodded to that as a more serious expression came across her face. "Yes, Asuka told me all the details of what happened to you and like her, what happened to you was wrong." She replied. "You should not have been ignored when you tried to explain what happened nor practically brainwashed into believing that you did what you didn't actually do." She then added.
"O-Oh. ." Homura got out, surprised to hear that. "T-Thank you ma'am." She then got out in a more meek and polite manner. "I-I'm just surprised that you believed me since my...my former parents didn't..." She soon explained, slightly depressed to remembering what happened to them.
Noticing this, the older Shirokage smiled softly as she kept rubbing the girl's head in an affectionate manner. "Now why would I not believe you? After all, it's a parent's duty to listen to their children and help them in any way we can." She then stated.
The head rub however caused Homura to become flustered and embarrassed as the blush never left her face. "I-I mean...! I...!" She stammered out.
The older woman soon giggled to the reaction as she then looked towards the kitchen. "Now then, how about I make us some dinner?" Megumi soon offered.
Asuka in response nodded enthusiastically to that. "Ok Mama!" She happily replied as she looked at her roommate. "Come on Homu-nee!" She got out as she then took the tan skinned girl's hand.
"S-Sure..." Homura meekly replied in the same flustered manner. "But I-I do most of the cooking for us. I always cooked for myself before meeting with Sis- I-I mean Asuka." She got out, quickly correcting her as a result as an embarrassed blush came across her face.
The younger Shirokage in turn nodded to that statement. "It's true Mama, she does cook for us." Asuka added in agreement with a smile. "Homu-nee always comes up with something different and it really tastes so good!" She then informed.
This in response got the older woman's attention. "Oh? You can cook Homura-chan?" Megumi got out in a curious tone. "Then how about you help me out then?" She soon suggested.
This immediately caused the tan skinned to jump slightly to the suggestion. "A-Are you sure ma'am?" Homura asked.
"Of course I'm sure. It's always nice to have extra hands around the kitchen." Megumi replied as she then smiled. "Now then, while Asuka sets the table, let's start cooking, Any recommendations Homura-chan?" She soon asked.
"O-Oh, I was thinking of making some flower-topped hamburgers for dinner." Homura answered, still slightly surprised by the sudden question. "I always wanted to try that, but never got around to make any." She then admitted.
Megumi in response smiled at the suggestion. "Why that's a great idea Homura-chan." She replied in a praising tone. "Can you please get the meat while I prepare the stove?" She soon requested.
"Uh...right. On it." Homura stammered out her reply, nodding as she went to the refrigerator and took out some meat.
"I can help too right?" Asuka then asked.
"Of course you can help us dear." Megumi replied as she smiled. "You can grab some eggs and bring them to the stove. And grab an extra frying pan while you're at it." She then instructed.
"Hai!" Asuka replied with a salute as she went to the fridge.
Megumi's smile never left her face as she looked at the tan skinned girl as she concentrated on kneading the meat. "That's it Homura-chan, just like that." She praised.
"Uh...ok. Right." Homura stuttered as she continued kneading the meat. "Sis's mom...she's different then mine..." She thought to herself.
At that moment, Asuka arrived with some eggs. "Here Mama!" She replied.
Megumi in turn giggled to the enthusiasm. "Thank you dear, now help me out by preparing some eggs." She then instructed as she took a bowl out.
"Hai Mama!" Asuka replied with a nod as she started cracking the eggs.
As such, the three continued preparing dinner, though for the tan skinned girl, she kept glancing towards her roommate's mother as she instructed them on what to do.
Soon the food was ready as they brought it to the table and sat down. "Thank you for the food." The three got out in unison as they began eating.
"Mmmm~ Sooo good Mama!" Asuka happily got out.
The mother also nodded in agreement to this as she ate. "Yes it is. Homura-chan made an excellent recommendation for dinner." Megumi praised her with a smile.
"H-Hold on Shirokage-san..." Homura muttered out as she looked at her roommate's mother. "Hanzō-sama must've told you about what happened to me...but why are you being so nice to me like Asuka?" She soon asked. "I-I mean I am...was an Evil Shinobi..." She then reminded, correcting herself since her old title no longer suited her.
"Now now, is there really a reason I shouldn't be nice to you?" Megumi questioned "I know we've only just met, but I feel like I've known you for a long time. And from what my daughter has told me in her letters, I thought that you could use someone who listens." She then explained in a motherly tone.
"T-That's..." Homura got out, not knowing what to say to the explanation.
"Yes?" Megumi inquired.
"I...I..." Homura got out as tears started leaking out of her eyes, sniffing as she held herself back.
"Homu-nee, are you alright? Are you crying?" Asuka asked with worry as her mother walked over to the tanned girl and embraced her.
"Shhhh, it's ok Homura-chan." Megumi mumbled out in a motherly tone while hugging the tan skinned girl in a tender manner. "Now tell me what you've been though." She soon requested in the same tone.
Homura meanwhile kept sniffing while her roommate turned her head away slightly in an ashamed and sadden manner. "M-My f-former f-family..." She began in a whimper.
"Your former family? Have they done anything to you?" Megumi asked, wanting to hear what the tanned girl has to say.
The tan skinned girl in response nodded to that. "Mmm..." Homura got out in a meek manner. "They...They..." She soon began, gulping slightly. "T-Touched me...saying it was training..." She vaguely revealed.
That made both the mother gasp in shock while the daughter gained an even more saddened expression. "They touched you? And said it was training?" Megumi asked in shock. "How and where did they touch you?" She then questioned in a more serious tone.
Homura's head then slightly leaned downwards. "D-Down there..." She whimpered out.
Slightly confused to that, Megumi looked down herself before her eyes widened in realization. "Down...there...? They've touched you down there?" She soon asked in shock.
"Mmhmm..." Homura got out with a nod as more tears started to form.
"Anything else they did to you?" Megumi asked, starting to feel anger boiling inside her.
"They...They never treated me like a person..." Homura soon confessed. "Intense and strict training...overly balanced and tasteless food...harsh and hurtful words to break me...I...I was...just someone to fulfill the Shinkukage legacy..." She listed off as more tears fell from her eyes to just remembering.
That made Asuka's mother even angrier of their actions. "So they never treated you as their daughter...Just as a tool to make sure their lineage doesn't die while you have no say in the matter..." Megumi soon declared in a dead serious and disgusted tone.
Homura in response just meekly nodded.
"What did they say to you? What kind of harsh words did they use to break you?" Megumi then asked.
"...Nothing positive...just that I have to fulfill the Sinkukage legacy and that what they did to me was the path to greatness for the clan..." Homura hesitantly revealed.
"Greatness, you say? Is that really their reason for mistreating their own daughter?" Megumi questioned as she scoffed in disapproval. "No child has to go through what you went through Homura-chan. That is not what a parent should do to their child." She soon declared as her daughter nodded in agreement.
"Mama's right Homu-nee, what they did was wrong."Asuka added her piece.
"B-But what could I do? They were my parents, I couldn't really disobey them." Homura soon asked.
To that, Megumi tightened her hug on the tan skinned girl. "That doesn't matter Homura-chan, what they did was wrong you precious girl." She soon got out in a sympathetic tone as she began rubbing her back in a tender manner.
Homura looks up as the mother of her roommate. "Precious? Me?" She asked in a surprised manner. "You think I'm precious?" She then added to her question
Megumi simply nodded to that. "Of course, you are a precious girl that has been through so much, what you need is someone to love you Homura-chan." She soon informed in a motherly tone as she continued rubbing the girl's head.
To hearing that, the tanned girl looks up at the mother of her roommate as she couldn't hold back the tears any longer and began to let it all out while still in her arms. "WAAAAAAAHHHH!" Homura loudly cried for the first time in a long time.
"Shhhh~ It's okay sweetie, let it all out..." Megumi softly requested as she kept a gentle hold on the tan skinned girl.
Asuka meanwhile look on in a surprised manner to seeing her roommate like this. "Homu-nee..." She mumbled out as she slowly got closer.
Homura meanwhile continued crying as she held onto her roommate's mother's shirt. "I don't want to be alone! I've been so lonely! All I wanted was their love! That's all I ever asked for!" She cried. "But no matter what I did, I never got their love! I've been alone for so long!" She soon confessed.
Megumi meanwhile kept rubbing the crying girl's head in a sympathetic manner.
Homura's tears meanwhile weren't showing any signs of slowing down. "All I wanted was their love! I didn't ask for anything else! But when I found the only person who cared about me, it was all a lie and I fell for it! Now they've abandoned me for something that wasn't even my fault!" She revealed.
Megumi meanwhile kept rubbing the girl's head. "Its alright Homura-chan..." She muttered.
Homura clutched her shirt even tighter. "I didn't do anything wrong! It wasn't my fault! I was a good girl!" She cried. "Please...don't leave me...It wasn't my fault...I don't want to be alone..." She meekly got out in a more childish tone.
"No you didn't Homura-chan, you were a victim..." Megumi reassured in a soothing tone.
Suddenly, Homura's legs couldn't support her any longer as she slid down to the floor while still in the arms of her roommate's mother, who kneeled down with her. "Mommy...Daddy...don't leave me...I wanna stay with you...I didn't do anything bad...I'm a good girl..." She soon began whimpering out in an even more childish tone.
Asuka's eyes meanwhile widened in shock as she gasped to this display. "H-Homu-nee..." She muttered in a fear filled manner to seeing her roommate in this state. "O-Oh my god..." She soon thought.
"It wasn't my fault...I didn't do anything...I didn't kill him...It wasn't me..." Homura repeated over and over in a lifeless tone, her eyes now sort of in a dazed and glazed state.
This however caused both the daughter and mother's eyes to widen to the change in the tone. "H-Homu-nee?" Asuka whispered out, this time more in confusion and concern.
"It wasn't me...It wasn't me...I didn't kill him...I didn't kill him..." Homura soon droned on in the same lifeless manner.
"Homura-chan?" Megumi got out in the same tone as her daughter.
Homura however continued droning on and on about how "She's a good girl" or "It wasn't her that killed her former teacher", getting even more and more lifeless and her eyes were losing color. It got to the point where it was hard to tell whether she was still alive or not.
"Homura-chan? Homura-chan!?" Megumi got out in even more motherly concern and worry for the young tan skinned girl.
"Homu-nee! Snap out of it Homu-nee!" Asuka begged as she shook her roommate.
But their voices proved ineffective as Homura continued droning on and on about how "It wasn't her fault" or "She wants to stay with them" and seems to be reverting back to being a child.
"M-My god..." Megumi got out in a fear filled manner as she tightened her hug.
Instantly upon feeling her hug, Homura seemed to have stopped talking altogether and seems to react to the embrace as she returned the gesture.
"H-Homu-nee?" Asuka muttered out seeing some light returning to her friend's eyes.
Homura soon looked towards her roommate with an almost childlike stare. "A-Asuka-chan..." Was all the tanned girl managed to get out.
Hearing that however shocked both the mother and daughter. "...Chan?" The two thought in confusion.
Homura even looked up at her roommate's mother, still with the childlike state. "Mama..." She meekly got out.
The older woman's eyes in turn widened to hearing that as she looked at the tan skinned girl. "Homura-chan...are you ok?" She asked while rubbing the girl's head in a tender manner. "My god...her old family broke this poor child this badly? She thought, a multitude of emotions swirling within her.
Homura then looked up at her roommate's mother. "Yeah, I'm ok. Why Mama?" She soon asked in the same innocent manner.
"Well...Homu-nee..." Asuka hesitantly got out, only to trail off at the end.
"You're suddenly calling my Mama like Asuka-chan does..." Megumi soon pointed out as she began to rub the tan skinned girl's cheek in an affectionate manner. "Sweetie, what you're former family...no, they can't even be considered a family for the actions they did to you, but you have to remain mentally strong for Asuka-chan, to be like an older sibling towards her." She then explained.
"...But how can I? I don't know if I can." Homura hesitantly admitted while looking away. "I...I just...I..." She then stammered out, not knowing what to say.
"I know sweetie, you want love, familial love right?" Megumi soon guessed.
Homura was still looking away, unsure of herself. "I...I really don't know anymore..." She soon confessed. "Do I...deserve it?" She then asked in an uneasy tone.
"Of course you do Homu-nee!" Asuka immediately replied.
Homura's eyes widened when she heard that. "Huh? I do?" She asked as she looked over to her roommate. "You really think I do?" She then added to her question.
"After everything you've been through, with both your former family and everything that's happened, you completely deserve it!" Asuka declared as she placed a hand on her roommate's shoulder.
"She's right Homura-chan. You do deserve it." Megumi replied in agreement with her daughter while still rubbing the tan girl's cheek. "You deserve a family who not only loves and cares about you, but is always there and willing to listen if anything is troubling you." She then declared.
To that, Homura's eyes widened slightly as a small blush formed on her face. "M...Mama...Asuka-chan..." She mumbled out in a childish manner.
"You don't have anything to worry, Homura-chan." Megumi soon began as she smiled down at the tan girl. "I know it's been terrible for you with those monsters, but it's alright now. We're here for you and we won't abandon you." She then reassured as she leaned in to kiss her forehead.
CHU!
Homura in response blushed to that as a meek smile graced her face.
Megumi smiled back and pets her head. "Just know that if you're ever feeling uneasy or have something you want off your chest, just talk to me. I'll listen to whatever problems you might have." She soon reassured.
Homura in response nodded to that in a childish manner.
"Attagirl." Megumi encouraged as she smiled. "I'm already here if you ever need me." She once more reminded.
Asuka meanwhile nodded in agreement to that. "Me too Homu-nee!" She declared in a determined manner.
To hearing these being said, Homura couldn't help but make a really big smile as she hugs her roommate's mother's neck tightly but not too tight. "Thank you Mama! Asuka-chan! I love you both!" She childishly declared without any care.
To that declaration, the mother gasped as she really had to resist squealing in delight to hearing along with her daughter to that adorable declaration. "Why thank you sweetie." Megumi got out as she then looked at the two girls. "Though you two seem to be exhausted, I believe you should go to bed for the night." She soon suggested in a motherly tone.
In response to that, exhausted yawns escaped out of the mouths of both girls as they then rubbed one of the eyes in a sleepy manner.
"Y-Yeah..." Homura mumbled out.
To that, the older woman led the two girls to the futon after the two had gotten changed into pajamas.
"Comfy Asuka-chan? Homura-chan?" Megumi soon asked.
To that, both girls nodded in response to that. "Hai, Mama!" Both girls soon replied in unison.
Megumi in response couldn't help but giggle to the dual responses. "They're already like sisters." She muttered to herself. "Ok then you two, get into the futon so I can tuck you in." She then instructed in the same motherly manner.
"Hai!" The two girls replied at the same time again.
Smiling to that union response, Megumi watched as the two laid down in the futon as she tucked them in. "Comfy?" She then asked once more as she rubbed both girls' heads.
"Hai!" Asuka happily replied.
"Hai Mama!" Homura also happily replied.
Megumi in response giggled to that. "Good." She replied. "Well, I must leave for the time being. Your father's probably wondering where I am Asuka." She soon enough revealed then explained. "But I'll visit again when I can." She then informed.
Asuka in response to nodded. "Ok Mama." She replied.
Homura however looked up at her roommate's mother. "Mama...?" She soon got out.
"Hmm?" Megumi hummed out as she looked at the tan skinned girl.
"Can you. . can you really visit again sometime?" Homura meekly asked.
Megumi smiled and rubbed her forehead. "Of course, Homura-chan. I'll be sure to visit you girls again sometime." She soon informed as she then stood up. "Well, I must be leaving for now, good night you two and get along." She then requested.
"Ok Mama." Asuka and Homura replied in childish unison.
Megumi giggled as she leaned in to kiss their foreheads.
CHU! CHU!
"Good night, girls. Sleep tight." Megumi got out as she smiled. "I'll be seeing you next time. I love you two." She revealed as she got to the door./
"I love you too Mama." Asuka called out in a sleepy manner.
The mother in response smiled to that. "I'll see you girls soon." Megumi called back as she opens the door and leaves the room while gently closing it behind her.
Soon the two were left alone in the room in the futon as they then turned to one another.
"Hey, Asuka-chan?" Homura softly called out.
"Hm?" Asuka responded.
"...Your Mama is really nice..." Homura softly and sleepily got out as she hugged her roommate. "...More than my own parents..." She then added in the same sleepy tone.
"Yeah, she sure is. And that's why I love her..." Asuka replied in agreement with the same tone. "Though, there's still the offer that Jii-chan suggested a while back." She soon reminded as she hugged her roommate back.
"Mmm..." Homura hummed out, not sure what to say as she held her roommate tightly.
"Still not sure about it?" Asuka asked.
"Mm..." Homura hummed out once more with a nod.
Asuka then returns the gesture. "Give it some time, I'm sure it'll come around." She then responded in a soft tone. "Good night Homu-nee." She got out as she closed her eyes.
"Mmm, good night Asuka-chan..." Homura replied in the same manner, mimicking her roommate's action.
Both girls held onto each other as they drifted into sleep after having the Shirokage mother coming for a visit and learning more about the tan skinned girl's past and what her parents had done to her.
But now with the possibility of starting over with a new family, it all hinged on Homura's decision to accept the Legendary Shinobi's offer to join his family and become his second granddaughter.
However, with the news of her parents' deaths still fresh in her mind, would she be willing to join with her roommate's family and find happiness that she longed for or would the twisted ideology of her parents keep her from doing so?
Only time would tell...
