God, I hate this chapter for so many reasons. UknownHero here and welcome to another chapter of Senran Persona. I've been getting genuinely angry as I worked on this chapter and even had to take a three day mental health break because…this chapter just annoys me. It has so many of the problems of this fic in this one chapter that I started to despise it and I have genuinely cried because I couldn't take it sometimes.
I keep promising myself it'll get better once Makoto gets her Persona but god that feels years away. So if you're expecting the happy Hero I portray myself as, you are so wrong. I need to vent.
So why not do it to reviewers! To Vein Bloodborne: Discussed it with my collaborator. We will…like, after Akechi's in the Thieves. To OrionGold: Whatever. I am fully aware of this story's problems but my collab partner just. Keeps. Pushing it. But I like my pop-culture references, ecchi stuff is part of Senran Kagura and it's kinda too late to fix the Homura problem. It annoys me just as much as it annoys you but I will try and fix it. To a random Guest: You will see Sayuri and the Mikagura sisters later. To WX-Lazer: Shut up. Just shut the fuck up. I don't need you screaming at me to fucking tell me how to write the story because we know what we're doing. We are listening. If you want shit to fucking change, write it yourself because at the end of the day, we're doing this for free because we love what we do.
That's it. God I just want to grab a sledgehammer and smash my fucking laptop with it! I wanna explode! But I still want to provide a good story for all the people who do enjoy this story despite its flaws so here you go. Ignore all my anger and I'll go put on my mask to write happy right now. Barely anyone reads these anyways.
So…let's explode.

Chapter 52: The Nuke and Fallout
(6/14, Early Morning)
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
Homura did not sleep that night.
Even with the warmth of her roommate cuddling against her, even playing that song that was supposed to put people to sleep, she just...couldn't sleep at all as she watched the sun begin to shine through the window. Hell, it felt like she hadn't even blinked ever since she found the damn device as questions raced through her mind.
How did things go wrong?
Where were things going to go from here?
What was going to happen next?
...Why was their luck so bad?
"No...It's not luck...Just plain old screwing up..." Homura whispered to herself before getting herself out of her roommate's grasp.
Asuka had been cooking breakfast for a while. May as well return the favor, plus it gave her time to think about how to approach her friend today.
(Yongen-Jaya, Leblanc Attic)
"Ok Akira, explain to me why you were doing pull ups when I woke up!?" Morgana exclaimed in disapproval.
The Leader meanwhile had his hands on his knees as he took in some deep breaths. "Training...Homura's is good...but brutal...so this is a better alternative...for now..." He panted out. "Why are you...even mad...?" He then asked.
"Cause you shouldn't be doing those kinds of acts when you wake up!" Morgana declared in annoyance.
"Most people go out for runs and shit early in the morning! God, I thought we cleared things up with the sleep thing!" Akira grumbled out.
But before the not cat could respond...
BZZT! BZZT!
"Hm?" Akira hummed out as he looked at his phone, seeing a familiar name.
[Haruka: Good Morning Akira-kun~]
[Haruka: I was watching~ Ufufu~]
"..." Akira silently turned to his window to see the girl who was texting him right outside it in her casual attire, playfully waving at him and eyeing him like a piece of prime cut meat while also surprising the not cat. "...How are you doing that?" He bluntly asked.
"Well~ You know me~" Haruka teasingly replied as she entered the boy's room.
"Why do you act this way?" Akira sighed out.
"Fun, mostly~" Haruka answered in the same playful manner before she began walking over to the shirtless boy while tugging a bit at her own top in a teasing manner. "Now, would you mind-" She soon began, however...
"YOU'RE NOT KIDNAPPING HIM AGAIN CRAZY LADY!" Morgana declared as he proceeded to jump at her face...
Only to be caught and cuddled by the girl. "Ara ara~ What a cute kitty Akira-kun~" Haruka cooed out as she began rubbing his chin.
"H-Hey! Let go of me! HELP! SOMEONE!" Morgana got out in a panic...before he started purring in pleasure and satisfaction. "Meoooow~" He soon meowed out.
"Aw...She's so cute I might gobble her up~!" Haruka cooed out while rubbing her cheek against the not cat. "Ooooh~ Silky smooth too~" She then added.
"Ooh~ that sounds- Wait, HEY!" Morgana called out.
Akira however couldn't help but snort in amusement. "Morgana is male." He soon revealed. "Although, I never checked his-" He then started, however...
"Stop right there before I claw your eyes out!" Morgana interrupted in an angered manner...only to begin purring again at being petted the right way. "Oh! Ooooh~! Right there...~" He purred out.
This meanwhile caused Akira to sweatdrop, but also chuckle in amusement. "Of course he'd react that way." He thought to himself before realizing something. "Wait, aren't you supposed to be at work or something?" He soon questioned.
"Actually, Takemi-sensei told me to take a break." Haruka revealed.
"This early?" Akira got out in confusion before it actually hit him. "Wait...How long have you been working?" He then asked.
"Since you last saw me." Haruka playfully replied as the boy just noticed the bags under her eyes. "...Is that a chocolate fountain?" She suddenly noticed before nearly tripping over herself trying to get a taste.
"You need to go home and sleep." Akira advised as he pushed her towards the window. "I'll see Takemi after school, okay?" He then added.
"Hai." Haruka replied with a teasing smile before...
CHU~!
She kissed the boy on the cheek. "You're so considerate~ And remember, you promised me~ Ufufu~" She giggled out.
"Y-Yeah, I'll get right on that as soon as I can, Haruka-san. Now please leave or at least go through the front door next time." Akira stammered out his request, a crimson blush on his face as the girl soon vanished from sight. "...I wanna say something about all the women in my life being fun and dangerous but by this point I think I've gotten used to it." He muttered, the blush not leaving his face.
"...Please put a shirt on." Morgana however requested in a flat tone.
"Right." Akira replied as he went to do as such, then getting his breakfast before heading out to school.
(Shujin Academy, First Floor)
When Akira arrived at school, he quickly noticed Homura standing in the middle of the hall with a far off expression on her face. Asuka had probably gone to class without her.
"Murmur murmur...I can't just take her there...Murmur murmur...Violence is not gonna solve everything, but it does solve a lot...Murmur murmur...I should really change the light in the fridge...Murmur murmur..." Homura quietly mumbled out.
The Leader and the not cat looked at each other with concerned looks before approaching the girl. "Um, are you okay, Homura?" Akira suddenly asked, snapping the girl back to reality.
"Huh, wha?" Homura got out as she shook her head. "What's happening?" She then asked.
"Nothing. You've just been standing there for the past ten minutes staring at the bulletin board and murmuring to yourself." Akira pointed out. "I didn't know you were so interested in...Lost books." He then muttered out.
"U-Uh, yeah, just uh...planning to find it." Homura mumbled out as she rubbed the back of her neck. "You know, they probably need it and it's my duty as Makoto-senpai's best friend to find it." She then added.
"Excuse me?" Akira got out with a raised eyebrow as he glanced at the poster.
"N-Nothing, just uh...I'm gonna go head to class now." Homura stammered out with a light blush.
"...You know, for someone like you, you're really bad at keeping secrets." Akira noted, causing the tan skinned girl to flinch. "I know you're holding back something, but it's your business. Just don't keep it a secret if it affects the team." He quietly requested.
"Y-Yeah. I will, Leader." Homura replied with a nod before heading off to class.
"Oh, and good morning Nii...jima-san..." Akira greeted, only to trail off as the girl walked past the two, barely giving them a second glance. "Okay, well, see you around, I guess." He then mumbled with a shrug.
Homura had to shake her head.
It must have been her imagination, because she saw the Student Council President of Shujin glaring at them for a brief moment before she headed off to class. Though when she activated her Third Eye...she quietly gasped and quickly turned it off.
"Is something wrong Lady Homura?" Morgana asked.
"I-It's nothing!" Homura snapped before storming off to class.
The two watched the tan skinned girl try to leave as fast as possible and frowned. "Hmm...She's definitely hiding something..." Morgana muttered out.
"You think?" Akira replied in a sarcastic tone before heading to class as well.
None of them noticed that Homura was shivering the entire time. "That...That red and black aura..." She thought to herself. "Don't become our enemy...please..." She mentally begged to herself.
(6/14, After School)
(Shujin Academy, Courtyard)
The Thieves had decided to change things up a little and spend their time outside by the vending machines. It was quite a nice experience...until Akira pulled out a deck of cards.
It became a war from there.
"NNNOOO!" Ryuji screamed in anguish. "Dammit! Why can't I win today!?" He then groaned in frustration.
"Hey, you said you wanted a cutthroat game and um...this is pretty cutthroat..." Ann got out as she and the others watched the two Leaders glare at each other.
"Why is it always down to me and you, Asuka?" Akira asked, glancing down at the four cards in his hand.
"I don't know, Akira-kun, Maybe it's destiny." Asuka guessed as she glanced down at the four cards in her hand.
"Kick his ass, Sis!" Homura cheered out.
"Come on, you can do this!" Morgana cheered out as well.
"I will!" Asuka replied with a smile before turning to face her biggest opponent. "You better be prepared for my barrage, Akira-kun!" She soon challenged.
"I was always ready!" Akira responded in determination as he pointed at the girl. "Your move!" He then replied.
Asuka smirked, ready as she instantly threw down her card. "Double sevens!" She soon revealed.
"8 Stop! I go again!" Akira countered by throwing down two eights. "4 of Spades!" He then declared.
"Dammit, I'm still in this game too." Ryuji grumbled out as he threw down a card. "Jack of Clubs!" He then declared.
"I'm out." Ann sighed out, wanting to save her cards for the next round.
"Two of Hearts!" Asuka declared.
"Joker." Akira simply got out with a smirk on his face before throwing down the card, destroying all of the Vice Leader's hopes and dreams. "I win." He soon revealed.
However, his eyes widened as he realised he counted his cards wrong.
The powerful card in the game hadn't been played yet.
"...Eh, nope." Ryuji suddenly spoke up as a smirk came across his face. "3 of Spades. Sorry, bro, but you're a peasant now!" He concluded.
"What!?" Akira gasped out as his irises shrunk. "No...NOOOOO! DAMMIT!" He then cried and swore out before falling onto his back as if he was shot.
"Wow, you killed him Skull." Morgana got out in a surprised manner. "Good going." He then praised in an impressed tone.
"Yeah, well, it was only luck." Ryuji replied as he flicked his nose while the others laughed.
"Ah, I'll be right back," Homura started as she got up from her seat. "Bathroom." She explained. "Oh, wait, we have a meeting soon, right? Ah, go without me, I'll meet you there." She then requested.
"Oh right, I almost forgot about that..." Ann admitted as she got up.
"I'll wait here, Homu-nee." Asuka got out
"Me too. Have fun!" Akira called out, still lying on the floor, defeated.
"I...I will?" Homura replied with a confused look on her face before walking away.
"Why did you say that?" The tan skinned girl meanwhile heard Ann ask as Ryuji began packing up the cards.
"I dunno." Akira replied in a mumble just as the tan skinned girl went inside.
(Classroom Building, First Floor Hallway)
FLUSH!
"Aaaahhhh..." Homura sighed out as she exited the bathroom after washing her hands. You know, today was quite peaceful all things considered.
It almost made her forget the fact that Makoto was practically a ticking time-bomb ready to explode at any moment and possibly nuke her friends into oblivion.
Almost.
"Ah, Shinkukage-san." She suddenly heard a familiar voice greet as they approached her from the left of her.
That caused the tan skinned girl to turn to see her homeroom teacher. "Kawakami-sensei?" Homura got out in confusion.
"Niijima-san is asking for you to come to the Student Council room." Kawakami informed.
Homura in turn narrowed her eyes to that before gaining a neutral expression. "Of course. I'll go there right away." She replied as she made her way to her destination.
"Oh, by the way, have you seen your friends?" Kawakami soon asked.
"Yeah. They're in the courtyard." Homura replied and informed the teacher.
"Thank you." Kawakami got out before leaving. "Ugh, why am I the one being sent around the school? Can't people do stuff by themselves these days?" She mumbled under her breath as she left for the courtyard.
Homura meanwhile sighed, already knowing what was coming.
It was time to face the music...
(Student Council Room)
"Okay, you may not have a plan right now but just...talk to her, clear up any misconceptions and then go out and eat crepes with her." Homura whispered to herself before heading in.
"Hello, Homura-san." Makoto greeted the tan skinned girl from her seat as she entered the room.
"...Hello to you too, Makoto-senpai." Homura soon responded. "So, what did you want to talk about?" She then asked as she began thinking up as many excuses and responses as she can to try and ease the situation that was to come.
"Homura-san, please have a seat. We must wait for a few more people to arrive before we can begin our discussion." Makoto however requested, referring to the three seats on the other side of the table.
"Okay..." Homura got out, already knowing what this meeting was going to be about as she took a seat. However, just as she did, the door opened...revealing two familiar faces. "Akira. Sis." She got out.
"Homu-nee?" Asuka responded in confusion.
"Homura." Akira calmly replied.
"Ah. Earlier than expected." Makoto remarked. "Both of you please take a seat." She soon requested.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Morgana meanwhile whispered out as the two sat down.
"I'll get straight to the point." Makoto began in a serious tone. "Kamoshida and Madarame. Won't you tell me the truth behind the Phantom Thieves' incidents?" She soon asked out of nowhere.
"Eh?" Asuka got out in confusion to the sudden question.
"Shit." Akira mentally swore.
"Makoto-senpai...What do you mean by that? We aren't connected to the Phantom Thieves, I thought that was obvious. We keep telling you that." Homura replied, feigning ignorance as she crossed her arms under her breasts, trying to play off the implied accusation. "We talked about this yesterday. Don't you trust us?" She then questioned.
"An expected response. Of course you wouldn't easily admit to such accusations." Makoto however stated. "And I did...until now. Have a listen." She soon added and requested as she placed her phone out on the table.
"If someone else could help 'em, we would be doin' stuff as the Phantom Thieves to start with-MPH!" Ryuji's voice played out on the phone.
To that, both Leaders and the tan skinned girl's jaws dropped slightly to that.
"Goddammit, Ryuji...!" Homura mentally roared in a furious manner. "That loudmouth..." She grumbled out.
"You really shouldn't call him that, Homura-san. That would make you a hypocrite." Makoto stated with a smile as she prepared to play the next audio file, however...
"From your listening device?" Homura suddenly got out, placing said device on the table. "You...You never threw them away..." She then stated, her voice cracking.
This in turn caused the two Leaders to pale.
"T-That's-!?" Asuka got out in confusion.
"Shit...Homura was right..." Akira meanwhile thought.
However, Makoto was more shocked by the sight. "H-How did-?" She began to ask.
"You didn't turn it off last night. And my armband was blinking and glowing red as a result." Homura immediately answered in a serious tone.
"H-Homu-nee..." Asuka mumbled out. "N-No way...all this time?" She then got out.
Makoto's eyes immediately widened to that. "The manual never said anything about lights!" She thought in a panic.
"What the...Why would it have a light!? That would make it terrible for spying." Akira then asked.
"It's not meant for spying, it's just small enough to fit inside my armband." Homura soon revealed. "They're supposed to be mini-communicators shared amongst friends, designed for your keychain. And it saves every conversation onto your phones, just in case." She then explained in further detail.
"T-That's..." Makoto got out, shocked to learn that information.
"Sounds like a banned toy." Akira added.
"It is, but like anything, you can still buy it online." Homura responded as she looked at her friend. "Which is what Makoto-senpai did..." She soon accused. "But what I want to know is why..." She then stated.
Makoto soon calmed herself down as shadows then covered her eyes. "You..." She soon started. "You...You were never going to tell me. You were going to keep lying to me...Keep thinking you're high and mighty when you're nothing but scum...each and every one of you." She then countered in a dark tone, her eyes flashing gold as a result.
This however shocked and confused the Thieves to the accusation. "W-What...?" Asuka got out.
"N-No, wait, whatever you're thinking-" Homura tried to explain, but she wasn't having any of it.
"STOP LYING TO ME!" Makoto suddenly snapped at the three, causing them to jump in shock for a moment. "I am fully aware of your roles as part of the Phantom Thieves. More than likely, you three are its founders. I can destroy you the very minute I step out of this room." She soon declared. "And I want to know how you did it. Was it blackmail? Hypnosis? How do you corner someone into making them confess? And how did you obtain the video of Shiho Suzui?" She demanded.
She had the advantage, she had them by the neck.
Their lives were in her hands.
She could make them do whatever she wanted.
"What the hell?" Homura muttered. "Makoto-senpai's not usually like this...ever..." She then added in her head.
"Something's wrong...really wrong..." Asuka meanwhile thought.
Akira however briefly glanced towards his bag. "...Mona, cue the music." He whispered.
"Got it Akira." Morgana responded as the Leader managed to text the girls behind his back, the angered girl too focused on the tan skinned girl to notice.
BZZTT! BZZT!
"Not now..." Homura muttered out.
"Go ahead. Answer it." Makoto growled. "You better hope it's salvation." She then added in a dark tone.
The two roommates then took out their phones.
[TheWildJ0ker: Put on your best mask.]
[TheWildJ0ker: Scare her straight.]
Asuka and Homura looked at each other in worry.
There was no other way, was there?
"...Salvation." Akira answered, his tone of voice sending shivers down the Student Council President's spine.
Suddenly, the temperature of the room dropped as dark looks came over the three. Why did the shadows look darker, and what was this feeling...?
It was as if she unleashed something that should've stayed dormant.
"You better hope you can find yours, Makoto." Asuka added in a flat, emotionless tone.
Makoto couldn't help but feel unnerved by her sudden switch from happy and bright to...dangerous and dark.
The tan skinned girl then narrowed her eyes in a serious manner. "Because now . .we have to kill you." Homura declared in a dark manner.
If there was a response the Student Council President was expecting, it definitely wasn't that. "...What?" Makoto got out in confusion.
Homura then made a single hand sign. "Shinobi Kekkai!" She declared as the group all vanished from the Student Council Room without a trace.
(Homura's Shinobi Kekkai)
Suddenly, the room around them changed to a crimson colored area.
This immediately got a reaction from the Student Council President as she stood up from her seat. "W-What the!?" Makoto got out in confusion and shock, unaware that one of her eyes started glowing gold. "W-Where are-!?" She then started to ask, however.
"Kaito Change!" Three voices got out in unison.
FWOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH!
Turning to that, Makoto was forced to shield her eyes as blue, green and crimson flames enveloped the trio before dying down, revealing them in their Phantom Thieves attires.
Makoto just fell to the ground in shock and tried to get away, only for walls to appear around her and trap her with them.
"Trying to run away? Don't make me laugh." Joker stated in a serious tone. "You are threatening forces you are not prepared to face, Niijima-san." He then added as he took out his gun, causing her to pale.
"And we cannot allow such actions to go unpunished." Yang added, though she also noticed something off. "A gold glowing eye?" She thought in confusion.
"We are the Phantom Thieves of Heart and we'll-" Yin tried to finish, only to be interrupted by the sounds of struggling.
"J-Joker! L-Lady Yin! L-Lady Yang!" Mona's muffled voice got out from the Leader's bag.
"Huh!?" Makoto yelped in a fear filled manner to the unfamiliar voice.
"All part of the plan, Mona." Joker informed.
"N-Not that! I'm still stuck in here and I can't breathe!" Mona then exclaimed as he struggled some more in the bag.
SMACK!
Yang immediately smacked her forehead to that. "Dammit..." She grumbled out in annoyance.
"Wah! Mona-chan!" Yin meanwhile exclaimed in a frantic manner.
The Leader however sweatdropped to this. "Oh, right. Whoops." Joker apologized as he zipped open the bag.
Soon Mona began gasping for air in an over exaggerated manner. "Man that was stuffy." He got out in relief.
"A monster cat!?" Makoto exclaimed in shock and even more confusion.
"GAH!" Mona exclaimed in shock from being called that. "Why does everyone call me that when they meet me!?" He soon exclaimed
"...Seriously?" Yang deadpanned.
Yin however picked up the not cat. "It's ok Mona-chan." She kindly reassured as she cuddled her friend.
"You're so good to me Lady Yin." Mona got out in a pleasant tone.
"And thus all the buildup and execution is wasted." Joker sighed out before spotting the Student Council President trying to crawl away and casually aimed his gun at her to make her stay.
"You should've had the bag opened before activating the Shinobi Kekkai." Mona then reminded.
"I thought Yin would open the bag. The We have to kill you thing was just for dramatic flair." Yang replied.
"W-Wait, dramatic flair!?" Yin got out in confusion.
For the normal girl in the Shinobi Kekkai, she looked on in disbelief at the display in front of her. "A-Are you really Phantom Thieves?" Makoto asked in genuine confusion.
"Yes." The Phantom Thieves answered in unison.
"...How have the police not caught you yet!?" Makoto exclaimed.
"To be honest, this is the first real screw up with someone discovering who we are..." Yin then awkwardly revealed as she tightly held the not cat like a plushie.
"So...are you going to kill me now?" Makoto asked in a fearful manner.
"What? Oh, right, we aren't actually going to kill you. That's just a scare tactic." Yang sighed out as she rolled her eyes.
"O-Oh..." Makoto got out as she held her chest, the statement calming her down slightly.
"We're just gonna brainwash you and make you forget everything about the Phantom Thieves." Yang soon revealed, causing the Student Council President to pale. "Joker, you know what to do." She then stated.
"Hold on, just checking which Persona has..." Joker started before narrowing his eyes. "Shit." He soon swore out. "None of them...I really should visit the Velvet Room more..." He then revealed.
"Joker! I thought we talked about this! This is one of the first of our contingency plans in case we get busted!" Yang reminded in a frustrated manner.
"It...It's our only contingency plan..." Yin awkwardly pointed out.
"You can't reveal that!" Mona called. "A-Ahem! Stay put, Niijima-san! We have other methods to silence you...less-lethally." He then informed.
"I'm sorry about the general unprofessionalism, Niijima-san. This is our first time." Joker apologized and sighed out.
"Ugh, Lady Widow is really going to get on our case for this..." Mona grumbled out.
"Hey, what she doesn't know won't kill her." Yang casually replied.
"Oh but she knows already. She always knows." Yin however reminded while the Leader nodded in agreement.
"Fuck! Right, she has an info network across the city." Yang grumbled out.
"C-Can you at least hear me out on what I want you guys to do!?" Makoto soon asked in a nervous manner.
The tan skinned girl however narrowed her eyes to that. "Why? You threatened us and we have all the cards here now. Not to mention...you betrayed my friendship." Yang countered and reminded as the others minus the Vice Leader nodded in agreement.
"I-It involves the students at Shujin! They're being blackmailed by the Mafia!" Makoto then revealed. "It's the actual reason I wanted to talk to the Phantom Thieves, I wanted them to prove their justice!" She then explained.
This turn got the Thieves attention.
"...A mafia?" Yin questioned in a serious tone.
The Leader then narrowed his eyes to this. "Alright, we're listening." Joker stated with a nod. "Tell us all you know. Don't skip out on anything or there will be dire consequences." He then ordered in a calmer yet serious tone.
Makoto in response nodded nervously to that as she calmed herself down. "Well, that's at least what this group calls themselves. They seem to be the cause of the rise of phishing scams." She soon revealed.
"Phishing scams...?" Yin repeated as she narrowed her eyes.
"What's worse, once you're in their sights, they won't stop threatening you until they get what they want." Makoto continued in a serious tone. "They'll force you to take part in their scams, threaten your family, and ultimately destroy your life." She then added.
"What!? That's been going on!?" Yang thought in shock.
"And you're asking us to take them down." Joker soon deducted. "And since you know about this...they're targeting students from Shujin." He then deducted.
"Is...Is that true, Makoto-chan?" Yin meanwhile asked.
Makoto could only nod.
"Alright...Now, here's the strange thing about this..." Yang started as she crossed her arms underneath her breasts. "Why am I finding out about this now?" She then demanded in a low tone as she glared at the President.
Makoto winced at the harsh voice her friend was giving her. "B-Because not even the principal knows about it and the victims are being threatened to not say anything." Makoto soon answered, slightly fearful towards the Disciplinary Head's anger.
The Leader pulled the tan skinned girl back and gave her a look to calm down before stepping forward. "Do you have a name?" Joker asked.
The Student Council President shook her head to that in a negative manner. "No. Nobody knows." Makoto answered. "Not even the police can identify the boss of the operation. All they know is that they operate in Shibuya." She then revealed.
"So you want us to go after a mafia boss with little to no information." Mona got out with narrow eyes. "You do realize what position you're in. You have no right to demand anything from us. We can easily deny this request and let you deal with this problem on your own." He then informed as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Are we seriously not going to go after this mafia?" Yin whispered to the Leader.
"Of course we are, we're just playing hard ball." Joker whispered back. "Makoto still has the advantage, so we need to turn the tables." He then explained.
"Okay..." Yin mumbled out before putting on a serious face, despite most of it being hidden under her mask. "Makoto-chan, I'm sorry but without anything else, we cannot act against the mafia." She soon declared.
"W-Wait! You can't just let them endanger students, will you!?" Makoto exclaimed.
"Well you did attempt to blackmail us into doing that." Yin then reminded her while her roommate nodded in agreement.
Makoto quickly realized that if this were to continue, many students would end up ruined...or worse. "P-Please! I'll do anything!" She practically begged, seeing no other choice.
"...Anything?" The four Phantom Thieves got out at the same time.
"Yes! Just change the heart of the mafia boss! I don't care what I have to do to convince you! Just please do it...!" Makoto soon begged.
"...Alright, we'll do it. But only if you delete those audio files this instant." Yang demanded while bringing out one of her katanas.
"...What?" Makoto whispered out.
"Well, we don't want you holding something like that over us." Joker pointed out. "So you delete those audio files. Now. Or we can delete it by force." He then declared, letting the threat hang in the air.
Makoto tried to think of anything to stop them...but she knew she had lost. "...Okay. I'll do it." Makoto finally relented as she pulled out her phone and deleted it, showing it to the Thieves. "There. It's gone." She then stated.
"Not good enough. That data isn't gone yet, it can still be retrieved." Joker stated as he shook his head. "Format your storage. I want a complete factory reset." He then ordered.
Seeing no other choice, Makoto complied to his demands and completely reset her phone. "...There. Are you satisfied now?" She soon asked, her voice breaking midway through.
"I'm glad we could reach a compromise, Makoto-kaichou." Joker replied with a smirk. "We'll change the heart of the mafia boss. But remember this moment the next time you try and threaten the Phantom Thieves. Promise us." He then ordered.
"I...I promise..." Makoto got out, sounding defeated. "I...I just need to know one thing..." Makoto however started.
"Hm?" Yang hummed out, this getting her's and others attention.
"Why...Why did you allow Suzui-san to go through that? You had the video didn't you?" Makoto then started as she grabbed her head. "It's the real reason I did this! I blame you for what happened to her, but that wasn't the case was it!?" She cried out her confession and question in shame. "I just couldn't take it and now I ruined our friendship Homura-san!" She soon declared before covering her face with her hands.
This however caused the Thieves eyes to widen. "So that's why she did this in the end..." Joker thought before narrowing them.
This in turn caused the tan skinned girl to lift her mask and revealed her guilt filled expression on her face. "M-Makoto-senpai...that's..." Homura began as she tried to explain herself, however she just knew she couldn't truly excuse herself for her actions. "I...I...The video...It..." She struggled out, trying to find the right words to say.
Makoto's eyes however soon dilated to hearing that. "So...you really did just let her...You really let Kamoshida..." She accused in a fearful and anger-filled manner.
"No...I..." Homura tried to say something...anything...but she knew there was no hope after learning the reason her friend did what she did. "...I'm sorry but I..." She started to apologize, however...
It was then that the Student Council President lunged at the tan skinned girl with fury in her eyes.
THUD! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!
"Homu-nee!" Yin cried out as the other brunette proceeded to just beat her roommate up. "Makoto-chan! Stop!" She soon exclaimed.
"Why!? Why didn't you do anything if you had the video!?" Makoto however cried out while looking down at the tan skinned girl. "YOU COULD'VE DONE SOMETHING! ANYTHING! BUT YOU ALLOWED SUZUI-SAN TO BE RAPED AND LED HER TO JUMP THAT DAY! WHY!? WHY!? WHY?!" She soon declared and accused in despair and fury while preparing her fists once more.
Mona meanwhile narrowed his eyes to this display. "And now we know the full reason..." He muttered as he kept a close eye on the golden eyed girl.
Yang however could only let the angry and destroyed girl rain blow after blow on her head, barely reacting as the other girl's knuckles grew bloodier.
"GET OFF OF HER!" Joker shouted out as he threw the girl off his teammate and onto the ground. "It may not seem like it, but she's doing her best to atone." He soon revealed.
"You...You forgave her just like that!?" Makoto exclaimed.
"No, I never did, but punching her isn't going to solve anything! Now calm down!" Joker shouted out. "...We did withhold the video, but it really wasn't our fault it was distributed all over Tokyo. We never wanted to release it to begin with! We didn't do anything because if he was arrested, the only regret he would have was getting caught. It was...It was all just a big disaster of emotions and grief." He then confessed. "We screwed up. We're sorry it had to come to this. It's...It's my fault. I should've ordered everyone to delete that video." He then explained.
Everyone stayed still as they let Makoto catch her breath as Mona casted his healing spell on her to fix her hands.
"I know what happened was bad...I froze up when I recorded what happened...and I still can't forgive myself for what I've done..." Yang confessed in shame with the same guilt filled expression as she punched the ground in frustration. "It's why I decided to do this...starting the disciplinary committee...everything..." She soon revealed. "To change myself for the better and help everyone." She then concluded. "Dammit! Please don't hate me for at least trying to do that Makoto-senpai!" She muttered as tears started to form in her eyes.
"...Why...? Why do you continue to insist on being friends...to act like nothing will change...!" Makoto soon asked in confusion. "It's too late...it's all too late for anything. I already ruined everything..." She then added in a defeated tone
Yang then crawled over to the other girl and embraced her in a hug. "Because, I see you as someone who needs a friend." She soon answered.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Makoto exclaimed as she struggled to try and free herself...but couldn't as tears ran down her eyes. "I...I can't...I won't..." She began whimpering out.
"Please...It'll get-" Homura begged only to be shoved away.
"GET OFF OF ME!" Makoto frantically got out in a panic while being hugged. "Please...let me go..." She then whimpered out. "I...ruined everything...I...deserve nothing from you..." She soon declared.
"I'm not letting go until you calm down!" Yang declared as she tightened her hug. "It'll get better! We can fix this!" She desperately got out.
However the other Thieves began to see it was just desperation at this point.
There was nothing Homura could do to save Makoto right now.
"...This isn't something hugs and words can fix Lady Yang." Mona stated in a mutter.
"You don't know that you stupid fucking cat!" Yang growled before looking back at the Student Council President. "Makoto-senpai. You. Are. My. Friend. Get it through your skull already." She then instructed.
"I...I can't...I don't deserve..." Makoto responded, her eyes dilating as she began breathing heavily. "I...I...I...I..." She then continued, not even sure what to say next as tears started forming in her eyes.
"Makoto-chan, please...it's...it's..." Yin started.
"I...I need to think about this..." Makoto eventually responded in a dead tone and an equally dead look in her eyes.
"Makoto-senpai, please-" Yang began, only for the Leader to stop her by placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Leave her alone. You've done all you can." Joker stated.
"But I can fix this...Just give me time..." Yang got out, sounding like she was about to break down.
"You both need time to calm down. To think and gather your thoughts. To find a solution, not fight for it. You can't fix this. Not now, at least." The Leader responded as he shook his head. They came out on top, but he didn't feel like a winner. "Drop it. Now." Joker soon ordered.
Yang tried to argue, but seeing her friend's sorry state...what they've done to her...all she could do was nod and did as such.
(Shujin Academy, Student Council Room)
After reappearing inside the council room, Akira noticed something on his phone. "Huh? I got a message." He announced as he played the message from a familiar number.
"Hey Akira! It's Ryuji! Where are ya, man? Takin' a leak? You're late for the Phantom Thieves meeting. Ann, Yusuke and Yumi are already here. Man, still can't believe that a chick like Yumi Tsukikaze, from freaking Kosei, is an effin' shinobi. Oh, speakin' of shinobi, have you seen Asuka and Homura? Been calling them all day but they haven't picked up. Eh, they're probably doin' shinobi shit or somethin'. Just call back when you get this alright? We need to plan our next Phantom Thieves heist! It's gotta be bigger than Kamoshida and Madarame! Damn it's great to know shinobi! And be a Phantom Thief! Anyways, see ya Leader. We're countin' on ya." Ryuji's voice called out.
The tan skinned girl's eye twitched to hearing that."...Goddammit Ryuji." Homura groaned out while pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Why did he emphasise Phantom Thieves?" Asuka meanwhile thought.
"That idiot..." Morgana meanwhile got out in annoyance.
While she was phased by the fact that she heard the cat talking now, the Student Council President was more focused on another matter entirely. "...Shinobi?" Makoto quietly repeated, blinking a couple of times as she looked at the two girls. "Is he serious?" She soon asked in disbelief.
"...No." Asuka weakly replied while rubbing the back of her neck.
"Yeah, it's just an in-joke." Akira lied.
Makoto however narrowed her eyes to that. "Why don't I believe you?" She then asked in a more stern tone.
"...Because you're dreaming...?" Homura awkwardly replied.
"..." Makoto however just gave off a deadpan expression to that.
"Look, we need to go." Akira informed as he went for the door. "Thank you for your time, Makoto-kaichou." He soon thanked.
"Yeah, um...see you around..." Asuka got out as she followed the Leader.
"..." Homura opened her mouth to say something but stopped herself, leaving the room without another word.
As soon as she felt that they were far enough away from the room, Makoto slammed her fist into the table.
Everything she's done...everything she sacrificed...the stains on her heart and soul...
It was all useless...
It was all for nothing...
She was...weak willed...
So, with that, she broke down once more and cried...
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
After leaving the school, the trio soon arrived at the apartment complex to see the rest of the group in front of the Vice Leader and the tan skinned girl's apartment door.
"Hey! You guys are late!" Ryuji called out as the three arrived. "Can't exactly have a meetin' when you guys have the key to our hideout." He then pointed out.
"What were you doing?" Ann asked.
"Nothing. Just managed to stop Makoto from revealing our identities as Phantom Thieves." Akira informed as the Vice Leader soon opened the door to the apartment.
"Oh." Ryuji got out...right before everyone realised what the Leader had just said. "Wait, what?" He soon asked.
"Yeah, so uh...Makoto-chan fully knows who we are." Asuka awkwardly explained.
Immediately, the others were struck silent as they heard this as they looked at the trio.
"WHAT!?" Ann and Ryuji soon exclaimed in shocked unison.
"What happened to the signal!? You guys were supposed to inform us as soon as you could!" Ann called out.
"Yeah. We totally dropped the ball." Akira sighed out. "We were talking about Phantom Thief stuff at school and she eavesdropped on our conversation." He then revealed.
"And this is why we only talk about anything related to the Phantom Thieves inside the Shinobi Kekkai." Yumi groaned out.
"She also bugged my new armband." Homura sighed out before spotting the ash blonde's expression. "Ann, don't you-" She then started, however...
"I! TOLD! YOU!" Ann loudly told the tan skinned girl. "She got close to us, we let our guard down! That was exactly the opportunity she needed to bust us! Goddammit, Homura! I can't believe we would let this happen..." She then muttered out as she clenched her hands into fists.
"It...It was only for the truth..." Homura quietly responded.
"Shut up! I can't trust you and your word! She could say anything and you would believe it because she's your best friend!" Ann called out before letting out a breath. "...But I can't blame you. She tricked you as well...we were all lied to. God, maybe she did know after all..." She then added.
"She didn't know." Homura replied.
"How can you say that now after what she's done?" Ann pointed out.
Homura flinched at the question. "She...didn't..." She soon responded.
"She's completely broken now Lady Ann..." Morgana sadly stated. "Lady Homura became more of an emotional pillar for her than we thought." He then revealed.
"Hm? What do you mean Morgana?" Yusuke meanwhile asked.
"Well, Homura's friendship means everything to her. Take it away and there's nothing left to support her." Morgana explained.
"Mainly because there was no one else to support her before I opened up to her..." Homura muttered. "She...just jumped the gun in the end though without knowing all the details..." She then added.
"...This never would've happened if you actually helped her." Ann stated in a low tone, causing the tan skinned girl to wince.
"Ann-san!" Yumi got out in shock and disapproval to hearing that.
"No...She's right Yumi..." Homura responded. "...I can't just keep blaming others. I have to take responsibility for my actions." She then added.
"...Homura-san..." Yumi got out.
"Homu-nee..." Asuka mumbled out.
"You better..." Ann muttered as she narrowed her eyes.
"Ann, that's enough." Akira however ordered in a serious tone. "Why are you acting like this? All Makoto did was jump the gun when she blackmailed us and you're treating her like Kamoshida." He then stated.
"Don't you dare compare her to him." Ann growled. "And you're ignoring that there are some things that are her fault, and you can't seem to see that. That you seem to trust her over everything else." She then declared.
"No Ann, you're blinding yourself in your own anger." Akira however countered. "Also...I think she fell under the influence of her Shadow..." He then added.
"Her Shadow is her other self! It isn't a fucking other entity or a demon or some type of possession! It was always there!" Ann snapped. "Makoto wanted to betray us, deep down in her heart...and that's what hurts the most..." She then sobbed out.
"..." This however caused the four who were there to look at one another with uncomfortable expressions.
At that moment, the Leader took out his phone and started up the app. "...Makoto Niijima." Akira suddenly stated into his phone.
[No candidate found.]
"Dude, why'd you do that?" Ryuji got out in confusion.
"She has a Shadow, right? I just needed to check." Akira responded as he put away his phone. "Although, I don't think changing her heart will help us."
"Not that it's possible now since her Shadow vanished." Morgana then reminded. "Her desires are no longer distorted." He soon stated.
"You mean...how Makoto-chan wanted friends? To be accepted?" Asuka soon asked.
"Hold up, they can be distorted for that?" Ryuji however got out in confusion and a raised eyebrow. "But...That ain't evil..." He then pointed out.
"Usually it isn't, but with her situation and however her life was, there must be a factor in her life that affected her to make her this way." Morgana explained.
"You mean something other than the Principal putting pressure on Makoto-senpai?" Homura then asked.
"Yeah, although unlike you, we don't know much about Makoto Niijima." Morgana responded with a nod.
"I was there this time and I understand why Homura defends her." Akira answered as shadows covered his eyes and balled his hand into fists before giving off a shame filled look.
"But that doesn't change the fact she did attempt to force you into a corner." Yusuke pointed out.
"Only because she thought we allowed what happened to Shiho to happen for the video. She thought we withheld it on purpose and waited for the confession to happen." Akira countered.
"...We kinda did though." Ryuji stated with some guilt.
"Wait, that's the reason she did what she did?" Ann however asked.
"Like I said, she ended up jumping the gun in the end..." Homura muttered. "All because I tried to be a friend to Makoto-senpai to ease the pressure on her with everything she's going through..." She soon confessed in shame. "...I never should have recorded what happened to Shiho..." She then admitted.
"Homu-nee..." Asuka got out in a sad tone.
"...Look, I don't fully forgive you or Makoto...and I don't think I ever will...but we have bigger fish to fry." Ann stated with a frown.
"I...I'm sorry." Homura whispered out.
"No, Ann-san, you are being way too harsh about this!" Yumi however stated in disapproval.
"I am. But I can't stop how I feel." Ann darkly admitted. "There's only so much I can take and I've had enough. Just be thankful I'm letting them have a chance to make up for everything." She then added.
SLAM!
At that moment however, the tan skinned girl slammed her hands on the table. "...Dammit, dammit, dammit!" Homura shouted out. "Just when things were getting better, we're back to square-fuckin'-one!" She then got out. "I hate this! I hate the principal! I hate the shitheads at Shujin and I hate every single frickin'...thing! I can't think of a third thing because everything sucks!" She soon exclaimed.
"Look, you all thoroughly screwed up. Plain and simple." Yumi calmly stated. "None of us here are innocent, but what's done is done. We have long since gone past the point where we can simply forgive each other with a heartfelt apology. Fighting will only cause us to break apart and then no one will be there to help the powerless. So either leave now or remain here so we can solve this disaster before it gets worse!" She then explained and ordered.
"...Dammit, this entire situation's effed up." Ryuji admitted in frustration. "Ah...but we can't be distracted by all this drama...We gotta prove to that asshole detective that we're the good guys." He then stated, the other Thieves nodding to that.
"About that...thanks to Makoto-chan, we got a new target now." Asuka soon revealed.
"And honestly, a good one too." Homura soon admitted. "The local mafia." She then revealed.
This in turn got the rest of the group attention once more as they looked at the three.
"Please explain." Yumi soon requested as they entered the apartment and sat down.
The not cat in response nodded to that. "Of course Lady Yumi. There's a group calling themselves a mafia who are targeting students and scamming them into helping in their scheme or else they ruin their lives or worse. And it's gotten to Shujin." Morgana soon explained as he hopped out of the bag and on the table in the middle of them
"Such utter filth targeting minors." Yumi got out in disgust before her eyes widened in realization. "Wait...could it be that Kosei has been affected as well...?" She soon asked in a concerned and worried manner.
"Very likely. And since they're being threatened into silence, no one knows who the mastermind of this is." Homura informed in a serious tone. "Which is why I think this'll be a good target." She then declared.
"But we don't have a name for the Meta Nav, nor a location by extension." Yusuke pointed out. "This will prove to be rather tricky." He then stated.
"Yumi, do you have any info about this Mafia?" Akira asked.
"Well, no. But I will have my informants work on it. Just give me a day or two." Yumi replied as she pulled out her phone. "And then after this, we can discuss the fact that you all blew our identities as Phantom Thieves." She then stated in a chiding tone.
"And as shinobi." Akira pointed out.
"What!?" The others minus the artist exclaimed in shock to this new information.
"Oh, I thought that was implied." Asuka awkwardly got out. "...Though Ryuji-kun was the one who exposed that part just recently." She then added.
"Well, Akira did play the message out loud." Homura pointed out.
"Hey, we were already screwed so stop playing the blame game." Akira retorted. "We barely managed to pull it into our favor. That might not happen next time." He then stated.
"We were seriously careless. We underestimated her, even in her broken state." Morgana lamented.
"Though Akira-kun did force Makoto-chan to factory reset her phone..." Asuka then got out in a slightly guilty manner.
"That's a relief. At least she doesn't have that over us." Ann sighed in relief.
"We were almost blackmailed into dealing with this mafia." Homura got out. "But it's still something we have to do, for everyone at both Shujin and Kosei. And I will make Shujin a better place as the Disciplinary Committee Head dammit." She then stated followed by the declaration.
Yumi meanwhile gained stars in her eyes upon hearing that. "I agree wholeheartedly Homura-san, I for one also have to make sure that Kosei is a memorable school to attend to as the Student Council President." She declared.
"Exactly Yumi!" Homura replied in agreement as the two then held each other's hands in a passionate manner with stars in their eyes as they imagined the order they would bring to their respective schools. "Both of us need to work hard to make sure our schools are great!" She then stated in an equally passionate manner.
As this discussion was going on, Asuka couldn't help but smile at seeing the two getting along after the two were at first, arguing with one another due to the Good and Evil Shinobi beliefs. "Like me and Homu-nee now, they're getting along despite the stupid beliefs." She happily thought to herself.
However, Yumi suddenly backed off from the tan skinned girl and coughed into her fist. "Hold on, you still let important info leak. I'll scold you all later but right now, we need to focus on this mafia now." Yumi got out.
"Yes ma'am." Homura replied.
"Hm...also, wouldn't this be a prime opportunity to prove our justice to society?" Yusuke pointed out, getting everyone's attention. "Even after we punished an evil man who seemed to be good, the public still did not acknowledge us as just. However, if we take down an actual criminal, let alone a target the police cannot handle..." He then started.
"Then people might believe in us!" Ann finished.
"I get it! That means even Akechi'll hafta acknowledge us as good guys." Ryuji got out. "Huh, this attempted blackmail's turnin' into the best thing that can happen to us. That's awesome!" He then stated in an excited tone.
"Yeah, and all we had to do is screw up beyond hell." Homura grumbled out.
"I'm guessing everyone is all in favor of taking down a mafia boss?" Akira asked.
"Aye!" The Thieves declared with nods of approval.
"Alright. Watch out, 'cause the Phantom Thieves are coming for you...Whoever this dick is." Akira stated with a smirk.
"We should set a time limit." Asuka soon suggested. "That way we force ourselves to work on it as efficiently as possible." She then explained.
"Okay then...about a month? It's a way bigger target than our previous, plus we're going into this without a lot of information so we need time to research." Morgana answered.
"That sounds reasonable." Yusuke admitted. "So our deadline would be..." He began.
"I suggest July 9th." Yumi informed. "We need time to make the calling card and steal the Treasure, so our deadline will be July 7th to complete the Palace." She then explained.
"And what's today again?" Homura asked.
"June 14th." Akira answered. "So, that would be..." He then started.
"28 days." Yusuke got out. "That should be more than enough time to take this mafia down." He then added.
"Sounds good, Yusuke." Ann responded.
"In any case, we need to prepare now." Akira "And tomorrow, we search for information on what exactly this mafia does." He soon concluded.
"God this entire thing sucks..." Asuka sighed out. "But we have to make the best of this bad situation. We'll help Makoto-chan, take down the mafia and then we can all go out together and get aojiru!" She then declared.
"You mean that expensive fish paste shake in the underground?" Ryuji pointed out with a disgusted look on his face.
"We'll see." Ann simply got out with a sigh. "...I'm gonna go home now. I'll see you tomorrow." She then informed before leaving.
"Yeah, see you." Homura mumbled out before sighing. "Let's go home, Sis." She then suggested.
"Hai." Asuka replied with a nod before realizing something. "...We are home Homu-nee." She awkwardly reminded.
"...Everyone, please get out. This meeting is over." Homura then ordered with a sigh.
"Yep." Akira responded before all the other Thieves made their way out of the apartment.
"Well, I must be returning to the dorms so I can work on my art piece." Yusuke informed with a bow before leaving the area.
"I will be talking with my contacts and asking them for any information about this mafia." Yumi meanwhile stated before heading out.
"Urgh...I have a headache..." Akira groaned out. "May as well visit Takemi now..." He then decided as he went on his way.
(Yongen-Jaya, Clinic)
Eventually the Leader made it back to the backstreets of Yongen-Jaya and instantly turned to the clinic.
"Well, I'm gonna walk around a bit and gather some info on my own Akira." Morgana informed as he got out of the boy's bag. "I'll be back later." He then added before walking off. "...And if Haruka's there, be careful around that temptress." He soon advised.
"I'm armed and ready." Akira replied as he flashed his dagger underneath his shirt. "...Wait, did he mean trying to flirt with me or kill me?" He meanwhile thought to himself.
"I know what you're thinking, and both." Morgana answered. "See you at Leblanc." He then added.
Akira in turn blushed to that as he placed his hands into his pockets before heading into the clinic to see a familiar face. "Speaking of which..." He thought to himself. "Haruka-san." He soon greeted as he looked around.
This meanwhile caught the blonde's attention from behind the counter as she looked up from some paperwork and smiled. "Good afternoon, Akira-kun~" Haruka happily greeted with a smile. "Have you come to see me? I've got dolls and potions for a very good price." She then offered.
"...Takemi lets you sell dolls?" Akira meanwhile asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Additional funding. The children who come and visit love them and ask their parents to buy them for them." Haruka explained in a more professional tone.
To hearing that explanation, Akira couldn't help but smile. "That's good to hear." He admitted.
The blonde then leaned forward in her seat in a more seducing manner. "So Akira-kun, shall we begin our date~?" Haruka playfully asked.
"Haruka..." Akira sighed out. "What exactly are you planning to do with me?" He then questioned.
"I don't know, but I know it'll be interesting." Haruka admitted with a giggle.
"I want to see Doctor Takemi, please." Akira soon requested.
"Hai, however Takemi-sensei is currently out at the moment and left me in charge, but she'll be back soon." Haruka replied. "How about you come in anyway so we can talk and I can give you a quick examination myself?" She then offered.
"...What kind of examination exactly?" Akira however asked.
"Ufufu~" Haruka giggled out as she got up from her seat behind the counter. "Come on in and find out~" She soon requested in a tempting tone.
"Um...Look, I already have a doctor and you don't seem qualified to practice just yet." Akira awkwardly admitted.
"It'll be fine. Now let's go play doctor~" Haruka replied with a hint of excitement.
Gulping to that, Akira soon went into the back room to see the blonde in her own chair besides the one the usual doctor sat in. "Please tell me these aren't going to be life threatening or anything like that." He bluntly requested.
Haruka however smiled at that. "It won't. Now, unzip your pants. I need to see how big your pe-" She soon started.
"And leaving." Akira bluntly responded as he stood up.
Haruka in response giggled to the reaction. "Kidding~" She teasingly informed. "I just need you to remove your shirt so I can check your vitals." She soon instructed in a more mature manner.
Sighing to that in relief, Akira did as instructed as the girl placed a stethoscope to his chest.
"Hm, well, your breathing is normal and is going at a steady pace." Haruka informed the boy. "Take in some deep breaths for me now." She then requested.
"You're...actually treating this seriously." Akira pointed out in a slightly surprised manner.
"Of course I am. I may like performing experiments, but when I cause an accident of sorts, I try to correct it unless it really interests me." Haruka answered.
"Well, I thought you'd be the type of person to use this as an excuse to ogle people." Akira awkwardly admitted.
"Hmm...that's understandable for you to think that." Haruka casually admitted. "Well you are my type, and that's saying something since there aren't usually men that are like that towards me~" She then confessed.
"Huh." Akira got out. "So...you're picky?" He then asked.
"A little." Haruka got out. "...The last man I had to deal with...wasn't exactly ideal..." She then vaguely added.
"Hm?" Akira hummed out with a raised eyebrow as he then noticed a more serious expression on the girl's face.
"Don't worry yourself about it Akira-kun." Haruka soon got out. "All you need to worry about is your training with Homura-chan." She then advised.
"Right." Akira replied with a nod. "...You don't have to talk about your past if it hurts too much, I understand." He then added with a smile.
Slightly surprised to hear that, Haruka smiled back. "Thank you." She soon replied before continuing with her examination. "In any case, how have things been for you today Akira-kun." She asked in a curious manner. "And how is Homura-chan?" She then added.
"Shouldn't you be answering that question?" Akira pointed out. "You are here to check on Homura after all." He then reminded.
"Well I have been hard at work." Haruka revealed with a pout. "Takemi-sensei and I are hard at work perfecting a cure for a certain disease and we're close. We just need to work out the side effects." She then added.
"Yeah, I know..." Akira murmured under his breath. "I'm honestly just glad you don't revel in being cruel to others." He then confessed. "Homura mentioned you being a sadist and all, but you don't seem that bad." He then added.
"Well, being an Evil Shinobi is still a title, not all us are actually that cruel." Haruka confessed. "A decent amount of girls actually just wanted to be shinobi, but the Good Shinobi Laws made it so they couldn't." She soon explained.
Akira in turn nodded in response. "I am well aware of that." He replied. "Although probably for the best. They probably want those with sound minds or something and not insane people." He then added.
"Like those with the aspirations to rule the world or something like a villain in movies?" Haruka jokingly asked.
"Look, from what I can tell, you people already do." Akira deadpanned. "Do you though, Haruka-san? Want to take over the world I mean." He then asked.
"Well, no. I have no desire to rule over the world." Haruka replied. "...Well, in some ways yes but not enough to, like, overthrow the government or something. I like my world the way it is now." She then explained while placing a finger to the boy's neck to check his pulse.
"Good to know." Akira muttered out, feeling relieved to hear that. "Still, besides me, Homura's made some good friends despite some fights we have, even with a third year at our school that she refers to as a senpai." He then added.
That however caught the blonde's attention as her eyes widened. "Homura-chan...calls someone senpai?" Haruka got out in a shocked tone before narrowing her eyes in a serious manner before placing her hands on the boy's shoulders. "Akira-kun, listen to me. The only time Homura ever refers to someone like that is only when she has the utmost respect for them and trust for them." She soon revealed in a dead serious tone. "Even though we are friends in a sense, she never called me senpai under any circumstances." She then added.
"'Cause of your experiments?" Akira guessed with a sweatdrop.
"Most likely. My experiments can be a bit...drastic..." Haruka sheepishly admitted before coughing into her fist. "But that is besides the point Akira-kun." She then added.
"So, Homura referring to someone with respect is something that should be taken seriously?" Akira soon questioned.
"Yes." Haruka answered in a no nonsense tone. "Whoever this girl is, they must have really gained Homura's respect." She then added.
"Noted..." Akira muttered as the light hid his eyes underneath his glasses. "Dammit..." He meanwhile swore in his head.
"In any case Akira-kun, your vitals are good and you seem to be in perfect health." Haruka informed in an impressed tone before getting a clipboard and began writing her notes down on some paper.
"Takemi says the same thing." Akira pointed out. "Now, what was the point of this because I came here to get painkillers."
"I wanted to give you my own physical examination." Haruka answered. "You see, most of the time, most of my experiments are around other females, so I never have much of a chance to do any on males. They aren't life threatening like you asked me before, but there are some that got me curious, so I wanted to make a small report for myself so if you come next time, I would like for your assistance in them." She then explained. "You don't have to, but I would like some help with them. You would be compensated in return." She soon added.
"...Could you give me time to think about it?" Akira soon asked.
"Of course." Haruka replied with a nod. "Basically my experiments would be forms of performationance enhancers that aren't like normal drugs or doping. Strength boosters, energizers, etc." She then explained. "Takemi-sensei already told me you go to her for regular medicines, so I would like to help out in my way if it's possible Akira-kun. Once I get them right, I'll stock them in my normal selection. Don't worry, these tests won't take up too much of your time." She soon offered with a kind smile.
"...That honestly could be helpful for the Metaverse..." Akira mentally admitted. "...Better than the regular items with side effects that lower something." He then added in his head. Still though, he nodded to the blonde. "Like I mentioned, I'll think about it." He soon replied. "You want money for me to pay for these enhancers?" He then guessed.
"No no. I'm barely making enough to support myself in my own apartment. Minimum wage and all that." Haruka sighed out with a hand on her cheek. "Just more items I can sell, nothing more." She then explained.
"Okay. Thanks for being honest." Akira replied with a nod before noticing a familiar face entering. "Ah, Doctor Takemi." He soon greeted.
"Hello." Takemi greeted as she looked at the scene. "What were you two doing?" She soon asked as she looked at the shirtless boy.
"Ah, Akira-kun came here to speak with you, but then I offered to give him a quick physical of my own until you got back Takemi-sensei." Haruka explained.
"I already made sure he's in good health, Haruka." Takemi informed. "So, I assume you're ready for another trial?" She then asked.
Akira in response nodded to that. "Yes Ma'am." He replied.
"Haruka, please leave." Takemi ordered in a serious tone. "Take a break or go home. I've got things covered here." She then stated.
"Of course Takemi-sensei." Haruka replied with a nod. "I'll go get us some drinks." She then offered as she left the main room before letting out a breath. "I've been living off coffee and muffins for the past few days. I need to get some sleep and real food soon..." She sighed out as a yawn escaped her lips.
At that moment however, a well dressed man came into the clinic and walked to the main room. "Get out of my way." He rudely growled out, shoving the girl out of his way.
"Wha!?" Haruka yelped, nearly stumbling to the ground but managing to right herself before she did and landed on the couch. "W-Who in the world?" She got out in disbelief to what happened.
"Che...To think she has the gall to hire an assistant..." The man then muttered in annoyance.
The blonde in turn narrowed her eyes to hearing that bit. "Isn't that...the Oyamada person Takemi-sensei mentioned?" Haruka mentally deducted as she looked at the man with a deadly glare.
This seemed like trouble. Maybe it was time to disobey a few rules...
As soon the man entered the consultation room, she crouched down and opened the door just enough to look into the room and listen in.
"Chief Oyamada." Takemi got out, obviously not very pleased to see the man.
"As I thought..." Haruka thought with a serious expression.
"There was a medical conference nearby, so I thought I'd check up on you." Oyamada informed as he then looked at the teenage boy. "Who's this? He doesn't look like a patient." He then questioned and stated.
"He's a part-time staffer. I'm having him handle some miscellaneous tasks for me." Takemi simply answered. "So, do you have some business with me?" She soon asked.
"...I hear you stole one of my patients. A girl with bronchitis. She came here with her father..." Oyamada accused and stated.
"...Bronchitis, you say?" Takemi repeated. "Well, I had no intention of taking her from you. I certainly didn't encourage her to visit my clinic." She soon informed the man.
The man however narrowed his eyes to that. "Now there's talk that the care at a university hospital is inferior to that of a general practitioner!" Oyamada declared. "Original medicine. Ha! What you're doing here is simply absurd!" He then added and insulted.
"...You're right." Takemi murmured to herself.
Oyomada however narrowed his eyes to that. "I would've turned a blind eye if you had just rotted away out here in this little town..." He soon confessed. "But this is your final warning...Shut this place down and resign your medical license." He then ordered.
"..." Takemi just remained silent, which was quite odd to Haruka. Shouldn't she be fighting against this?
"This is harassment." Akira got out as he stood up.
The man then snapped his head towards the boy, glaring at him "What did you say?" Oyamada growled.
"I said you are trying to shut down an amazing doctor. I don't know what your deal is, but please leave. We are in the middle of something after all." Akira responded as he narrowed his eyes in anger.
Haruka meanwhile smiled to the boy's actions. "What a man~" She mentally purred out in delight.
Oyamada however just scoffed at that. "Hmph, you seem to be quite fond of her. Perhaps I should reveal this woman's true identity." He soon started. "She's a monster who tortured a patient with her unregulated medicine! Terrible, isn't it? She was such a brave girl, always smiling..." He then revealed.
"Oh, I know, it's just-" Akira casually began...only to stop himself when he realised what else he said. "Wait, what?" He soon asked.
"Was?" Takemi repeated, her world beginning to melt around her.
"She passed away." Oyamada soon informed.
"What...!?" Takemi got out in shock.
"Perhaps you'll suffer the same fate, hm? Hahaha...She is the Plague, after all." Oyamada declared with a boastful laugh escaping his mouth.
"Don't you lie to me...!" Takemi however demanded in a panic. "She should still have time! She was slowly recovering...Her condition couldn't have deteriorated that quickly!" She then stated.
"But it did. You must've misjudged." Oyamada countered. "Now, back to the reason I'm here. Don't ever take another patient away from me again...You don't want to make me angry." He then declared and threatened.
Akira glared at the man as he left with a smug look on his face.
For some reason, he had the feeling that the bastard was lying through his teeth.
Meanwhile, Haruka managed to hide just in time to avoid bumping into the man before giving him her own glare. However, she quickly returned to her spot as she heard a thud in the consultation room.
Takemi definitely lost feeling to her legs as she fell to her knees. "M-Miwa-chan's...dead...?" She muttered in shock. "No, no no...But she's all I've been working toward, all this time...Curing her was my only...There's no way..." She soon got out.
"Takemi-sensei..." Haruka thought in concern.
"Don't lose hope." Akira got out as he kneeled next to her. "There are still people suffering from that disease. I...I know you can't save everyone, that's the truth for all doctors, but you can still save the people still fighting." He soon reminded.
Takemi however didn't respond. All she could do was trap herself in her own thoughts. "...What have I been doing all this time...? What was even the point...? I can't..." She then mumbled to herself.
"...Just rest for today." Akira then suggested as he took off her coat. "Go rest on the bed for a while. Give yourself time to...grieve." He added as he helped her onto the bed.
"Yeah, you're right...I feel better now...Thanks for your help, my little guinea pig..." Takemi got out in a grateful tone.
"It's no problem." Akira replied with a kind smile, feeling his bond with the doctor deepen.

"Ugh. I wish I hadn't shown you that side of me..." Takemi groaned out.
"We have that side. I'm just a little happy that you let me see that side." Akira admitted as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well, don't expect that to happen very often." Takemi soon informed the boy. "But...maybe it's fine every once in a while. Go on home for today... .We will continue this another time." She then and instructed.
"I'll see you when I can." Akira got out as he left the room to see the blonde, both of them nodding as they silently left the clinic.
(Backstreets)
Eventually the two were outside as they took in deep breaths.
"God, today sucks..." Akira mumbled under his breath.
"You said it." Haruka admitted in agreement.
Rubbing the back of his neck, the Leader soon looked at the blonde. "You still want that date Haruka-san?" Akira soon asked.
"No. I'm...I'm going to help Takemi-sensei with her medicine tonight." Haruka replied in a serious tone as she shook her head. "And possibly the next night too. And the night after that. And to gather information to see if Oyamada was speaking the truth." She then added.
"...You listened in, huh." Akira guessed.
"Yes I was." Haruka replied with a nod before grinning. "So, guinea pig?" She then teasingly asked.
"What about it?" Akira countered.
"You know, I can't believe you're putting your moves on older women~" Haruka remarked in an amused tone.
Akira wanted to deny that, however, he held back a devious smile as he realised he could turn it against her.
Well, I have my preferences.
Well she is a beauty, just like you.
I'm an all around person.
"Well she is a beauty, just like you." Akira jokely replied...only to pale slightly at what he said.
Haruka in turn gave a coy smile to that as she then hugged the boy's arm, squishing her breasts into it. "Ara ara, so brave Akira-kun~" She teasingly replied. "But I don't think it's the time to flirt. We can have a date some other time." She then added with a sigh, though didn't release him.
"Yeah well...that's probably not gonna happen for a while." Akira informed. "Uh...school and stuff." He awkwardly explained.
"Still...She must be bawling her eyes out..." Haruka muttered out as she tightened her hold. "I've only been here for a few short days, but I could tell she really cared for the child." She then added.
"Do you know anything about that man Haruka-san?" Akira meanwhile asked.
"Only so far that he botched the initial cure to her disease." Haruka answered with a frown. "I've done my research on her. Her title is undeserved. If all else, it belongs to him." She then added.
"Yeah..." Akira got out with a nod. "...What's his full name?" He suddenly asked.
"Sorry, but I only know his family name." Haruka sighed out in slight frustration. "I'll try and ask her when she's calmed down a bit though. But why do you ask?" She then offered followed by the question.
"...I might place his name on the Phan-Site." Akira soon admitted. Maybe he'll use Takemi's medicine to help take down that bastard in Mementos.
"You want the Phantom Thieves to do it?" Haruka questioned with a raised eyebrow, "Why not ask me? The Phantom Thieves might not see it and I could take care of him myself before you can even blink." She then asked and offered.
"Like I said, might Haruka-san." Akira corrected. "Not to mention you have to still keep up your cover as being Takemi's apprentice. Plus, incompetence doesn't deserve death." He then stated.
The blonde in response gained an interested expression to that statement. "Well, there are certainly worse fates than death...You can be quite dark, Akira-kun. I like it." Haruka soon admitted and confessed.
The Leader could only shake his head at that. "I've been meaning to ask Haruka-san," Akira started. "How come you're so...forward towards me?" He soon asked. "I mean we barely know each and all." He awkwardly reminded.
Haruka merely shrugged her shoulders to that. "Not sure." She honestly admitted. "It's just...You seem like the type of person who would be exciting to be around. And I want in on that with a cutie like you~" She then explained, albeit a bit vague and unsure of it herself while smiling in anticipation.
"Well...You aren't exactly helping me live life normally." Akira quipped out.
"Ufufu, you lost all chance for normalcy once you knew shinobi." Haruka however giggled out.
"...Touche." Akira had to admit in slight amusement.
Akira could feel the blonde's interest in him deepen. He was actually looking forward to meeting with her again...as long as she didn't try anything.
Hopefully, he'll have the chance to hang out with her other friends soon too.

"Hm? Crimson Squad?" Akira thought to himself. "Well, I'm gonna go home and relax for a while." He soon informed while rubbing the back of his neck. "Today's...today's been really taxing." He awkwardly admitted.
"Well, I'll come around if we need coffee. And probably soon given that Takemi-sensei will either be working even harder...or not at all." Haruka replied as she released the boy.
"Well...Good luck." Akira replied. "Help Takemi out in any way you can." He then requested.
"I will. See you..." Haruka began, only to frown. "I-I'll see you around. Just remember that I'm available at night at the clinic, even after Takemi-sensei leaves for the night." She then got out.
"You too." Akira replied, making a mental note of that extra bit as he went on his way.
Haruka nodded before heading back into the clinic, mentally preparing herself for yet another all-nighter with renewed determination.
However to both of them, they also had one other thought in mind.
"Oyamada...You will pay for killing her patient..." The two thought with utter seriousness.
(6/14, Evening)
(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)
As soon as the two roommates had bathed and eaten, the tan skinned girl quickly shoved her face into a nearby pillow. "MMMMMPPPPPHHHHHHHAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Homura screamed before throwing the pillow at the TV.
"Do you feel better?" Asuka soon asked in concern.
"No! Just...Stop...violent urges...!" Homura growled before sighing and slumping. "Urgh...I don't think I have the energy to be angry today..." She then confessed.
"You were not in the wrong, Homu-nee...Ann-chan was just overreacting and blaming the wrong people again..." Asuka however stated in a serious tone as she hugged her roommate. "You have nothing to be blamed for trying to be a good friend to someone else...like me to you." She then added and reminded.
"I still failed though..." Homura mumbled out in depression.
"Things will get better. Just give it some time." Asuka replied in a calm yet encouraging tone.
BZZT! BZZT!
Upon hearing that, both girls got their phones and looked at the conversation that was starting.
[Shut7heFUp: So I checked online, and people are talking about the mafia all over!]
[Negative8Degrees: My informants came back with info as well quite quickly. Ten high schools have been affected by this organization, and there's still more incoming.]
[SushiRoll23: No...]
[TheWildJ0ker: Do we know anyone affected by the mafia?]
[Shut7heFUp: Now, in my expert opinion, Iida of class 2-D is guilty.]
[SushiRoll23: Wait, that's our class.]
[Sweetkat06: Yeah. Tenya Iida. Though he never really stood out before.]
[Sweetkat06: Wait, start at the beginning. What's he guilty of?]
[Shut7heFUp: Supposedly he's been spending money left and right recently. Said it's because of some great part-time job he got.]
[FireGirl20: Ugh...Why didn't this reach my ears?]
[TheWildJ0ker: Well, we never interacted with anyone in our class other than each other...]
[FireGirl20: Touche.]
[All4Painting: I see. That may very well be worth looking into.]
[Shut7heFUp: Right? Can you try asking him about it, Ann? I don't think he'd be cautious around a girl.]
[Sweetkat06: In that case, yeah. I don't mind giving it a try.]
[Sweetkat06: Although, I've rarely talked to Iida-kun before...I'll be counting on you to back me up if something happens, Akira.]
[TheWildJ0ker: Leave it to me.]
[Sweetkat06: Thanks, that's a huge help.]
[FireGirl20: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Why Ann? Her acting sucks! She'd probably won't get anything from him! Let me and Sis handle it!]
[Sweetkat06: ...]
[SushiRoll23: (glaring emoji) (glaring emoji) (glaring emoji)]
[FireGirl20:...I am so sorry.]
[TheWildJ0ker: I don't think Iida would be paying attention to what you say anyways...]
[Negative8Degrees:...True, but still you've earned a scolding.]
[FireGirl20: Yes ma'am...]
[TheWildJ0ker: Yes ma'am...]
[Shut7heFUp: Wait, who are you talking about getting a scolding?]
[Negative8Degrees: Yes.]
[SushiRoll23: (glaring emoji) (glaring emoji) (glaring emoji)]
[All4Painting: I'm hoping for some great things this time from Takamaki-san's world-class wonderful acting.]
[Sweetkat06: Please stop.]
[FireGirl20: You know, maybe we should be there too, just in case...]
[All4Painting: I hope this will get us even marginally closer to their so-called boss. I leave this Iida to you two. And I have high hopes for your acting as well, Ann.]
[Sweetkat06: You're all missing the point!]
The two roommates couldn't help but giggle as the conversation ended as their moods lightened up, albeit a bit.
"Well, tomorrow we start the investigation." Asuka replied.
"Yep. This mafia...they're gonna be dangerous for the others. Who knows what they're capable of..." Homura muttered out with a frown.
"...Hey Homu-nee, I think we should try talking to Makoto-chan again." Asuka suddenly suggested.
"...Akira said we need some time away from each other. We'd just fight for a solution than work it out." Homura responded in depression. "She's probably not even in the right state of mind." She then added in a saddened tone.
"Well I'm a leader too." Asuka however reminded. "And I mean just you and me." She then corrected.
"...No. I just...I just can't talk to her right now..." Homura responded in slight depression.
"Why? You're her friend right?" Asuka however asked in concern.
"Asuka, stop!" Homura snapped. "I...I just can't! I'm just gonna make it worse! So leave it alone!" She then shouted out before sitting down.
"...Fine, but I'm still going to talk to her tomorrow..." Asuka replied.
"Sis, you don't-" Homura got out.
"I want to Homu-nee, and I'm not letting anything stop me, not even you." Asuka responded with a serious and determined tone.
"...Alright...But...don't try and drag me into it, okay? Please..." Homura soon requested.
"I promise." Asuka replied with a nod.
Even though the Thieves as a whole decided on this mafia as target, the Vice Leader came to her own decision for her own personal mission.
Helping Makoto Niijima.
(Yongen-Jaya, Leblanc Attic)
Akira let out a breath as he listened to the rain outside. Probably reflecting the mood his friends must be feeling right now with the day they had.
"Yusuke really loves the Sayuri..." Akira muttered out as he sat down on his bed.
"Well, I hope he works through that artist's block. An artist who can't draw will just be like a thief who can't steal and that would be terrible!" Morgana got out.
"Hehehe...Is the only thing on your mind is thievery and being human?" Akira chuckled out.
"And your wellbeing and health." Morgana reminded.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way." Akira admitted before frown as he remembered the day he had. "Ugh, this is turning bad for the worse, and this time we caused it..." He then groaned out.
"Yeah, Lady Homura was right in the end." Morgana sighed out. "We should have brought her in yesterday where we could have explained everything. But now we can't." He then stated.
"That...was a bad call on my end..." Akira admitted.
"We all make mistakes. We aren't perfect." Morgana comforted the Leader. "Once this whole situation blows over, I know we'll come out stronger than ever." "...Maybe even with a new member." He then added.
"You really think she'll want to join at one point?" Akira then asked.
"No idea. After all of this, I don't think she'll want to do anything with us." Morgana assumed. "But you know us, the unexpected always happens." He then reminded.
Nodding to that, Akira then stood up as he stretched his limbs before changing into casual clothes. "I'm gonna go visit Yoshida-san." He soon decided. "Maybe then I'll know what to say." He then added.
"Well, I'll stay here. Maybe I should try and craft some items while you're gone..." Morgana informed as he walked over the the crafting station.
"Oh right, I should call Kawakami-sensei and ask her to coffee for me as well..." Akira muttered. "...I'll go do that." He then decided as he headed down stairs and out the door.
(Niijima Residence)
Meanwhile, Makoto still had the same dead expression on her face as she sat on her bedside as she stared at the floor of her room with hazy eyes. She hadn't even bothered to change out of her uniform or even take off her shoes.
"I'm a fool..." Makoto quietly mumbled out. "...I'm scum...an idiot..." She then insulted herself as she felt herself sinking into a dark abyss.
Not that it mattered to her...it was what she deserved in the end...
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Makoto?" A familiar voice called out.
Said girl in response slowly raised her head. "Sis?" Makoto mumbled out as she watched the door open to reveal the silver haired woman for a brief moment before dropping it once more and looked at the floor.
"You didn't take off your shoes." Sae calmly stated.
"Sorry." Makoto simply apologized.
"Makoto...what's wrong?" Sae soon asked. "This isn't like you." She then added.
"I...I screwed up Sis." Makoto answered. "I tried and I tried to do my best but now...I lost my best friend." She then explained as vaguely as possible.
The older Niijima however narrowed her eyes. "Grow up." Sae got out with a frown.
"...Huh?" Makoto muttered, her eyes slowly dilating.
"Look, I'm sorry that you lost your friend, but you can always make new ones. There are plenty of people who would love to be around you if you tried hard enough." Sae stated as she shook her head. "But you aren't in elementary school anymore. You are old enough not to be depressed so hard over things like this. If they were really your friend, you wouldn't be here. Besides, you have other worries than something that would surely dissolve once you go to university. This is your final year and shouldn't be wasting it crying over someone you've only met." She soon advised. "You're going to be an adult soon so act like it. This isn't a big deal." She then added
"But...I'm...I'm not-" Makoto quietly mumbled out, however...
"Don't think of yourself like that. You made it here by yourself, you can make it further by yourself too. If a broken bond made you shatter like this, then it was never a healthy bond to begin with." Sae stated before getting up to leave. "I need to get back to work. You're stronger than this Makoto. Don't let it get to you." She then added before leaving.
Makoto however remained silent to that as she heard the door close, leaving her alone once more. "It's not true...I'm nothing like that..." She soon muttered to herself in denial as she took out her phone.
[Makoto N: im sorry]
[Makoto N: i was an idiot]
[Makoto N: i was scum]
[Makoto N: please call back]
After sending those messages, Makoto placed her phone aside, not even bothering to charge it before laying down and took hold of a nearby panda pillow.
"...I fucked it all up..." Makoto mumbled out as she tightly hugged her pillow. "I...I want Homura-san...I...I needed Homura-san...I...I don't deserve her though..." She then mumbled as the light faded from her eyes.
She never fell asleep that night...feeling as though she didn't deserve it as she aimlessly looked out the window...
...Maybe she shouldn't even go to school tomorrow...
...She just...didn't care anymore now...
Nothing...mattered anymore to her...
(Fast Forward)
Akira soon glared at the prosecutor with a fierce stare. "In hindsight, that sort of advice wasn't exactly the best kind to give her in her current state during that time." He stated in disapproval.
"Ugh. You're being childish." Sae spat out. "Makoto isn't so weak to cry over losing a friend. You sound like her entire being is now centered around this Yang. Makoto would never be so...so..." She then stated before...
"Useless?" Akira guessed in an angered tone. "You barely knew your sister nor supported her at that time." He then accused as he then continued.
He had a lot to reveal at that point.
