"HEYA guys, welcome back! So I've got a semi-slow chapter for you today, more world building if anything and some info dumps for the most part. From the reviews most of you would rather Shirou build himself up in this world before reuniting with Artoria. That's all good so now I have an idea when I should get to the reunion and all that fun stuff."
"The crew and I have been talking and he has decided to add another Fate character to the mix. Now this character will not be showing up until MUCH later so don't worry about the whole fate character dump thing. Some of you might be able to guess who but I'm confident that most of you won't guess right seeing as I have not even talked about them yet."
"Like I said to some of you in the replies that Shirou will not be in England for long, in fact he will probably be back in the states by the next chapter or the following chapter. I know a lot of you wanna see the Greeks reacting to Shirou and his E ranked luck, so we are getting back to that. I do often get away from Greeks without really knowing it so I will try to bring the base crossover back rather than having to create the structure for other pantheons that are not mentioned in the PJ books and making Shirou spend all his time there. Of course if you guys prefer a little of both I can do that too, given that Shirou is from a pantheon not really touched upon in the books."
"Now let's hit those guest reviews. To all those supportive/comment reviews thank you for your support. (And if you want me or the others to reply to your review just ask a question… "or just say notice me senpai" *smashing sound* "Rogue get out of my brain thoughts!")
"You good over ther Slim?"
Loveless (reply by Slim): Unlikely given how much it would change the story.
Sengok (reply by Slim): Shirou's Reality Marble would probably categorize them as two different weapons even if they are partially the same.
Guest 1 (reply by Slim): Sure, but Shirou wanted the fight to end hence the reason he used Cu's spear.
Drake (reply by Slim): There has been talks among the crew about that. As I said up above there is another servant that is confirmed to be coming to the story.
Fenton (reply by Slim): I think Shirou could if he wanted to, that is to say I don't think we'll be making anything close to his NPs.
Kenza (reply by Slim) Indeed I think he would be disappointed in Riordan Hercules.
Guest 2 (reply by Slim): Interesting set of ideas, tell you what I will talk about it with the crew.
Now the story!
Brian sat across from Shirou having an inquisitive stare down with the displaced magnus. Shirou for his own part was not too bothered by it. He had grown used to the "look" as he often got it from Rin when he did something foolish or something she didn't like. More times than not it was the latter that earned him her wrath.
After Brian had used his magic to make the victims of the man eater tribe forget what they had seen he again used his abilities to prompt the surrounding forest to overtake the tribe's camp quicker. He had yet to comment on the massive tree that Shirou annihilated, though Shirou had a feeling that Brian would be letting him know his feelings on it in a moment. The two had since returned to his store and were sitting across from each other. Brian had given him a type of tea that would help him recover from his fight.
"Alright lad, I get wanting to keep your name secret. Names having power and all that nonsense but can ya at least shed some light on how you got your hands on one of the most prevalent weapons in Celtic mythology." Brian began clearly not in the mood to dance around the issue. "I won't even ask about what the first burst of magic was, but if I was able to detect it then you better believe others did. Never mind the fact you destroyed a greater tree spirit."
"It attacked me, and it was assisting the tribe." Shirou countered looking up from his cup of tea.
"I'm not mad about that lad. In fact it was probably better that you did. I don't know what you did to it but be thankful that it was not taking you seriously or things might have turned out different. Then again with that weapon on ya nothing would have changed anyway. Speaking of weapons, let's go back to how you got your hands on Cu Chulainn's cursed spear? Last time I checked it was still locked away wherever the gods keep such weapons."
"You wouldn't believe me." Shirou answered, taking a sip from his tea.
"Try me lad. I may not look it but I am twenty-one centuries old." Shirou's eyes shot up. "Yeah, I was around when the spear was being wielded by the man himself. Never met him if you're wondering."
"How are you still alive?"
"Deals and great understanding of the human body both physically and spiritually, but that is besides the point. Cu Chulainn might have not noticed it himself being busy with fighting off the Connachts but the Morrigan attempted to seduce him. He brushed her off, choosing to focus on fighting the invaders, but the Morrigan is not one to let even little things go. She played a greater part in his downfall. Feeling the energy from that spear release again more than likely brought up old feelings. If you have noticed the number of crows in the area just recently shot up, and around here that means one of two things."
'Either the All Father is very interested in this area or the Morrigan is sending her crows to check out the area for her.' Shirou thought to himself knowing it was more than likely that latter.
Seeing Shirou understood Brian continued.
"Yeah, it's mostly likely her, and given how old I am, I would rather not meet her anytime soon. Now if I were to guess the only reason she is not here right now is because she is busy with something else. I also believe that will change very soon." Brian became quiet for a moment before he spoke again. "So while we wait for our impending doom, let's talk about something that has been bugging me. Your skills seem to put you at a place where you should be much older. Yet you're just into your twenties, so unless you're fooling me you started your magical journey from a very young age. Things like that are not common especially with people whose primary caregiver doesn't know about our world. That leaves me to think you might be part of an organization of some sort. A few come to mind when I think of children being trained to fight in our world."
Shirou fixed Brian with a leveled and indifferent stare. "I'm not part of any organization. You said it yourself I was sent away to keep a secret."
"And once you were over there anything could have happened to you."
Shirou sighed, having a feeling this was not going to go anywhere. "This won't go anywhere. I can't provide any proof to you that I am an independent magus. If anything my magical abilities are better left known only to me, given that the Morrigan might have questions."
Brian looked away, clearly thinking. "How long can you run with your magic?"
The druid stood up before Shirou could answer, making his way to the back of his shop.
"I've not checked but faster than your average car." Shirou answered standing to follow Brian.
The two entered Brian's storage room. The older Druid pulled a book from a shelf causing the wall to move forward before sliding to the side revealing a secret passage. He turned to face Shirou with a slight smirk on his face.
"Then get ready to run, lad." Brian answered before moving the passage. "You're lucky that rune around your neck is powerful. Even the gods might not be able to track you as easily, well at least from a distance. This passage will take us a good distance out of the town. From there we're going to make our way West to the coast. I'll contact my friend once we get there. Try not to pull out any more weapons that might draw more attention to you on the way."
The two continued down the passage before coming to a set of steps that rose into a small shed. Before they left Brian slipped off his shoes leaving his feet bare on the ground. He then unlocked the door and stepped outside, Shirou following him soon after. Once outside, Brian paused, taking a deep breath. the wrinkles on his skin began to smoothen out as if he were de-aging a few dozen years. It occurred to Shirou that Brian had slipped off his shoes to draw magical energy directly from the earth itself.
"Ready to go lad?" Brian asked, turning to Shirou.
Shirou imagined a firearm's hammer firing, his magical circuits kicking on as soon as the thought completed. He immediately set to reinforcing his body, the whole process taking but a moment. Once ready he nodded to the druid. In an instant the old man shot off into a dead sprint faster than even Shirou was expecting. The magus took off after him, matching his speed in a few moments. The two magic users ran across the countryside avoiding any roads or other places that might be frequently visited by other humans.
Brian claimed that he was not what he used to be, which had Shirou wondering what Brian was like in his prime. He still seemed able to use his own magic like any other magus from his world. If this was where he was at after so long, then could he have matched a servant in his prime? Brian claimed to be twenty-one centuries old, there was no telling how much he might have learned over that time.
"Lad," Brian called, bringing Shirou out of his thoughts. "We might need to move faster."
"Why, did she detect us?"
"No but from the sudden shift in magical energy around the town, I would say she just arrived. Let's hope that rune can keep you hidden, no doubt she is looking for the cursed spear's magical energy. If you have some other means to hide your magic outside the rune, I would use it now. For the time being it looks like I will be going with you to the states. Rather not come home to a peeved goddess, may need to lay low for a decade or two."
"Going to America sounds a little excessive." Shirou voiced his thoughts, however as he thought about it more it began to make sense to him if his encounter with Hecate was anything to go by.
"If you ever encountered a god before you would know that only a few of them are what you might call rational. The Greeks are among the worst but it's best to have a massive body of water between you and them. Besides, gods from different pantheons tend to lower their power when in other pantheons' territory. it's harder for them to find you when they can't access the full might of their authority, less the power that be in that area comes asking questions."
"She wouldn't follow us, would she?" Shirou asked slightly worried he would have to deal with even more gods.
"The number of times that goddess has been seriously slighted can be counted on one hand. Her domains of influence ensure that few people that know better would or if they did leave a lasting memory. While Cu Chulainn's downfall was largely in part to her he still refused her romantically, gods tend to remember when they are refused objects or people they want. If I had to gue-"
Suddenly Brian stopped, turned and tackled Shirou. Both of them clashing to the ground rolling slightly before stopping. Shirou was about to aggressively inquire as to why the druid tackled them when he suddenly felt an energy like Brian's cover him as if he had tossed a thick blanket over him. Soon after a far more powerful energy flooded the area, one felt semi-similar to Hades' yet different in some ways. Brian had detected her arrival and covered Shirou with his presence to make sure she would not detect him. A few moments passed before Brian got back to his feet and the energy covering Shirou dissipated.
"Judging from the level of that magic pulse she very much remembers." Brian observed looking back towards the town. "We need to move faster, she more than likely sent her crows to look for us and I have a feeling she will be in less than a talking mood."
"Sounds like someone I once knew." Shirou offhandedly commented to himself.
The two once more continued their run towards the shores, this time however it was Shirou who was setting the pace as Brian had reached his max speed in his old age. After a while the two had to cross a short mountain before they entered the farming region of Whales. Brian had to pause for a moment to put up a magic barrier. Given they were about to run through a reasonably populated area the two would have rather not end up in a newspaper. Once the barrier was up the two once more started in their mad spirit for the coast. They had to slow down after nearing a city but they quickly passed by the outskirts before making it back to farmland.
In the end it took an hour or so to reach the coast and an empty cliffside with the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks below. Shirou peered over the edge, a hundred foot drop, if he had to guess. When he turned to look at Brian, he saw the older magic user creating blue colored runes in the air with hand gestures and some words that Shirou couldn't really make out. The runes moved in a circular motion as move runes were added to the formation. Soon the circle was complete and a blue portal of swords opened within the circle before it turned into an actual image as if he were looking into a window.
"Ah Brian!" A new male voice greeted the druid happily. "To what do I owe the pleasant surprise?"
"It's good to see you too Samuel." Brain returned the greeting. "I could use a favor."
Shirou moved away from the cliff to get a better look at this Samuel person. He was surprised at who he saw. Standing at the helm of a wooden ship from what he could see was a boy no older than fifteen. He had bright blonde hair and hazel-colored eyes. A scare ran across his left cheek but other than that he looked like a normal fifteen-year-old. He was dressed in a brown thick jacket that he wore unzipped showing his older style white t-shirt. Black pants with a brown buckle with black boots with copper color accents rounded out the rest of his outfit.
Shirou attempted to find a reason as to why this kid was friends with someone so much older than him.
"But of course what can I do for you?" Samuel asked, crossing his arms waiting.
"I and one other need passage to the states if able." Brian asked the young man.
Samuel's eyebrows went up in surprise. "Alright, the lads and I were just about to set sail but we can swing by you and pick ya up."
"Thanks Sam, the two of us went by the cliff side near Porthmynawyd beach. I'll give you the details in person."
"Right we'll swing over. See you then."
The image winked out and the runes fell away into nothingness. Brian looked back to Shirou who was giving him a confused and questioning look. Brian smiled as if remembering a joke.
"Samuel Laurence is the name of the old friend I told you about. You're probably wondering why he looks like he is fifteen. Well, he is cursed in a way. You see a long time ago a power ocean…, what the Greeks would call a nymph fell in love with him. I won't go into details about that little event, but that nymph was not really happy about the idea of her lover dying. So, she put a "curse" on him, he would age until he would normally die of old age then he would age back until he was a baby again then back. It repeated for a very long time, a century or so if I'm not mistaken."
Shirou resigned himself to giving the much older man a surprised stare as an answer. Brian laughed and nodded saying that was a common response. Shirou had heard many odd and weird legends in his time but that one ranked differently among the more bizarre legends. Yet it was semi-tame in comparison to other legends he heard. The union of mortals and beings of the moonlit world did not often end will for the mortals.
Thirty minutes would pass before Brian stood up and pointed to the approaching wooden ship. Said wooden ship was like nothing Shirou had seen before, sure it retained the standard look of a wooden ship yet had a large open deck area with multiple masts. It was as if someone had taken a modern cargo ship, shrunk it down a good deal then turned it into a wooden ship. Clearly something of that size would be very slow and the wood used would have to be very strong to support a ship of that size. Magic had to have been used in the construction of the craft. It also seemed to be moving at an unnatural speed as if the water itself was helping push it along.
Shirou was able to spot two people, one man and the other a woman, at front of the ship making hand gestures and body moments as if attempting to mimic the motion of the water with their hands and body. Both were wearing a type of blue robe that were very similar in design with only subtle differences. Those being the slight difference in the wave patterns on their robes. The man's being more defined and powerful, while the woman's was more subtle and flowing.
There were about a dozen deck hands all going about their duties as the ship moved along. At the helm was Samuel standing on a stool given that at his current height he could not reach the top of the ship's steering wheel. Once the ship was close enough Samuel waved to the two waiting up on the cliffs edge then motioned for them to jump on. Clearly being used to it Brian jumped from the cliffside clearing the distance between him and boat with ease. After reinforcing his body Shirou followed after him landing on the open deck area soon after.
The smell was similar to that of the elven man eater tribe reaching his nose, though lacking the blood smell and more emphasized in its natural aspect. From the strength of a smell Shirou quickly realized that the ship itself was magical like it had been made from a magical tree.
"Ahoy there land lovers!" Samuel called from the upper deck.
Brian rolled his eyes and called back in a joking manner. "I detest being reminded of my age Samuel!"
Samuel laughed. "Oh, but it never gets old my friend!" A sight of contempt left the old man's lips at the pun. "Come on up here my friend, let's talk!"
Brain began his trek to the upper deck, Shirou following after him. By the time they reached the upper deck the ship turned around and set sail west bound for the states. Samuel locked the rudder in place, stepped down from his stool, and hugged the druid.
"Ah my friend, it's been years! Tell me, what has you fleeing the island with this young man?" Samuel asked.
"Well, this lad took care of a problem that reared is ugly head in my neck of the woods. A whole town's worth of man eaters along with a greater tree spirit." The ship seemed to shudder after Brian said that. "Turns out the lad has a trinket that brought up some memories in a certain fate and death goddess."
"You don't say, it reminds me when you tried your hand at wooing a current goddess." Samuel recalled humorously slapping Brian's shoulder.
"Some things take longer to get through a man's skull than others." Brian replied, obviously recalling the events Samuel spoke of.
"Haha, indeed." Samuel agreed before looking over Shirou. "Come er' lad lets get a look at you."
Shirou approached and bowed slightly. "Thank you for taking us aboard."
Samuel waved with gratitude. "Think nothing of it! A friend finds you after the crime, but a best friend helps you get away! Tell me what's got the lady of fate and war up in a tizzy? What's this trinket Brian speaks of?"
Seeing Shirou hesitate to give an answer Brian spoke up.
"The cursed spear of Cu Chulainn." Shirou shot the druid a glare, he only smiled back at him.
"Cu Chulainn's spear!" Samuel cried out. "Lad where in all the pantheons on Earth did you get your hands on the Gae Bolg?!" Samuel then looked back at his friend. "Trinket my arse! Bloody hell I'm better off not knowing at this point. Look, let's get you two squared away and we can start interrogating each other over something heavy. Gods the Gae Bolg a mere trinket."
Samuel showed the two to an empty room below deck. It was more spacious than Shirou was expecting with two individual beds, a table, and a bathroom. Not something he was expecting on a wooden ship. Brian sat down on the bed and gestured for Shirou to sit on the bed across from him. So Shirou sat down on the bed across from him knowing he was about to get an earful.
"Alright lad, now that we are out of danger let's have a talk about what you don't know about yourself."
Shirou raised an eyebrow about his choice of words. He was fairly certain he was like his old self, side for the magical circuit increase. Though that did not explain why he was suddenly hit by all that pain when his rune fell off his neck nor why his father avoided the subject of his mother like the plague. Brian also mentioned that it was odd for someone to have such a powerful rune that looked like it was made by the hands of a god.
"What do you mean?" Shirou asked, giving the druid his full attention.
"I've been around for a while kind of and I've seen what happens when a god gets busy with a mortal."
'He was not…' Shirou thought before speaking out loud. "I'm not a demigod."
"Are you sure about that lad? That god level of quietly rune speaks against you, gods don't just hand those things out to anyone you know. Any person experienced in the magical world would kill to have a rune or anything else made by the gods for themselves. Demigods are not as rare as one might think, in all honesty you are more likely to run into a demigod then you are a dragon. It's also a little known fact that godly parents tend to send their children to some far off place when they don't want to be found out about cheating on their spouse."
He scoffed. "Yet gods are powerful and live for a long time meaning it takes thousands of years to learn through their thick skulls. There's also the small fact that the Earth Mother has been trying to connect with you, but the rune has been blocking it."
That alarmed Shirou, given his past experiences with the personification of the planet was anything to go by. He did not want to get roped into becoming this world's version of a counter guardian. He must have changed his expression because Brian had quickly added.
"I'm not talking about the Greek version of the Earth Mother, I'm talking about the Celtic one. What a lot of people tend to forget is that humans are a part of nature too and thus "children" of the Earth Mother. However, the Greek Earth Mother sees humanity as a parasite and granted we can be a pain in the ass, and we often are. But I'm getting sidetracked. One thing you need to know about Celtic demigods is how their demigod children are "recognized" as it were. Danu proclaims who the parent of a Celtic demigod is."
Brian's eyes glowed for a moment.
"From the way things look, I say that the rune around your neck came off at one point and you divine authorities started to rush into you. Given how the rune must be keeping your godly side under wraps I can only imagine it hurt like hell to have all that divine energy rush into you. At that moment Danu attempted to declare your heritage yet when the rune came back on it blocked her from finding everything else out. Being a druid, I draw most of my magical power from her, and right now I can see her tendrils trying to find out who you belong to. Ah, just so you know there is little doubt that the Tuatha Dé Danann knows that an undeclared Celtic demigod is running around and let me tell you."
Brian leaned forward. "That probably has them riled up."
"Because you would rather deal with a known variable than an unknown." Shirou caught on.
Brian nodded and learned back.
"Now, unlike the Greeks and Egyptians, most other pantheons do not have rules concerning interactions with their demigod offspring. Though for the Celtics it can cause tensions, as having a mini version of the godly parent running around tips the balance of power. As a matter of fact, they had a civil war not too long ago, and I'll give you one guess as to who were the ones dying in the trenches."
It did not take much for Shirou to imagine a bunch of demigods slaughtering each other in the name of their parents. Fighting through a war himself saw a lot of children end up displaced or dead, after all it was easy for a frightened soldier to mistake a child for an enemy combatant. After spending days in the frontlines even Shirou drew steel on a child that snuck up on him during the claim of the fighting. Thankfully he always managed to stop himself from taking said child's life. Brian went on.
"Aenghus Óg has had a noticeable increase in demigod children belonging to him and the other members of the Tuatha Dé Danann are seeing it as a sign. The Celtic pantheon is gearing up for another civil war if things keep going as they are. Now I wouldn't be surprised if a god or Celtic demigods come looking for you. Now if our new "friendly" goddess tells the others that there is someone running around with the Gae Bolg. Well now you might as well send up signal flares that something big is about to happen.
'And that Succubus' clan comes looking for an answer. I will have at least two Greek gods, the fairies, the Celtis, and a demon clan looking for me. My E rank luck is running overtime.' Shirou thought to himself. "Even still being a demigod is too far- fetched to be true."
"If you're so sure of yourself then take the rune off." Brian challenged.
Shirou looked down at the rune hanging from his neck. He vaguely remembered the pain he felt when the rune fell from his neck. Even when he was a child, he never took it off, whether it was because of a magical compulsion or simply because he always had it. But he knew he was not a demigod even with everything happening to him over the few years since he once again became active in the moonlit world. Everything he was and would become was because of him and not because of some divine inclination.
Grabbing the rune around his neck Shirou quickly pulled the rune up over his head and dropped it on the bed. He waited for a moment for the pain to come, yet after a few moments he felt nothing change. He was so busy waiting for the pain to come that he did not notice Brian eyes go wide as soon as the rune came off. However, Shirou looked up to see the druid with his shocked expression and his clearly glowing eyes.
"W-what is that?" Brian managed to ask.
"What is what?" Shirou asked.
"T-there is a world inside your soul."
In an instant Shirou knew that Brian was looking at. Brian was using magic to see Shirou's Reality Marble. Such a thing was not something Shirou had to worry about back in his old world. As it seemed that rune also stopped other beings from seeing Shirou's most closely guarded secret. On instinct Shirou readied a few more powerful weapons from his Reality Marble. Brian noticed the sudden hostility.
"Well, it looks like I found what you were hiding all this time. This… world of blades… that's how you have Gae Bolg. It's not the real one isn't it, it's just a copy made by this world?"
Shirou debated with himself on whether to give Brian a straight answer. He had been helping Shirou for nothing in return. He had been nothing but kind to him since they met and here he was repaying his kindness with aggression. Where he liked it or not he was alone in this world with an ever growing list of possible enemies. He needed to start making friends before it was too late.
Taking a deep breath, Shirou let the magical forms of his weapons dissipate.
"Yes, it's called a Reality Marble, a powerful form of boundary field magec- magic. Among many things, mine allows me to copy and recreate any weapon I have lay eyes upon. Provided I can understand how they were created."
Brian nodded. "I can see now why you choose to keep this magic of yours under wraps. Such a powerful ability will draw much attention. Like it has done already. Who taught you this magic?"
Shirou resisted the urge to correct Brian. "No one, having a reality marble is not something that can be learned. It's a matter of chance and circumstance."
"So you were born with it?"
"Of sorts." Shirou answered before changing the subject. "So, I'm not a demigod."
Brian clearly noticed Shirou's attempt to change the subject judging from his sudden smirk. However, choose not to push it. "No lad, you are. I was just distracted with your Reality marble as you call it. The only reason you're not writhing in pain right now is because I threw up a rune based magical field to stop any of your divine heritage from infusing with you."
The older magic user pointed to the wall where many runes were now carved into the wood.
"You're also gonna have to thank Keerla for helping too." Shirou raised his eyebrow in confusion, having never heard the name before. "The ship lad. It's not a normal wooden ship as I'm sure you have concluded by now. Its wood is made from an elven ancestor tree, as in this tree grew containing the soul of a fallen elf. Now before you start getting ahead of yourself the soul of the elf in question never wanted to become an ancestor tree. So, when her parents went along with it Samuel had the tree stolen. Once she was powerful enough to speak, she requested she be turned into a ship given she was a sailor herself in life.
'I expect offerings in treasure and praise.' A female voice spoke humorously in Shirou's mind.
Shirou jumped slightly from the sound causing the voice to giggle.
"Yeah that's her, don't worry she knows when to keep a secret so you don't need to worry about her blabbing about your special magic to everyone."
'I'm serious about the offerings though.' Keerla added projecting her thoughts into Brian and Shirou.
"Leave the lad alone Keerla or I'll tell Samuel you have a creepy shrine of him in your lower deck."
'You wouldn't dare!' Keerla declared loudly, causing Shirou to squint his eyes in pain.
"Try me." Brian challenged, the ship shuddered for a moment before Shirou felt the presence on his mind drift away. "Sorry about her, like I said she won't be a problem. Now back to your status as a demigod, go ahead and put your rune back on."
Shirou did as he was told and put the rune back around his neck.
"It's hard to tell as of this moment given how little of your divine heritage managed to fuse with your body on who your godly parent is. Your Reality Marble is far more pronounced than your godly side and it's making it difficult to see what is you and what is demigod. Given that red hair is very common among the Celtic pantheon it doesn't really narrow it down all too much. Though if I had to guess I would say Flidais given that her children are very skilled archers if your performance from the man eater tribe is anything to go by. Then again, you're not a very flirty person so I could be wrong."
"So, what happens now?" Shirou asked.
"Now?" Brian repeated, the magic user got up from his bed and moved towards the door. "We get something to eat then once we land back in the states we start your training as my apprentice."
"What?!" Shirou cried standing up in a hurry.
"You may know about the mythical history of some of the pantheons in our world, but it seems to me that you have not really gotten into the magical community just yet. I'm your only connection to the larger magical world and independent mages don't last long unless they have the power to remain independent. Once people start picking up on that you have access to some of the most powerful weapons in mythology you better believe everyone and their grandparents are going to be vying to get you on their side. As my apprentice you'll be able to remain semi-independent until you get up on your own two feet. Besides I have a lot of connections myself, even gods will have to think about it before making a move against you and by exception me."
Brain opened the door and gestures for him to follow. "Shall we be off, my apprentice?"
"This is impossible." A female voice came from a shadowy figure. "The Gae Bolg has been sealed away for generations. How could someone wield it when it still lays in its vault?"
"I would like to know the same." Another shadowy figure added this one's voice being male. "A forgery of its magical energy could not be this precise. Unless Lady Scáthach has taken to constructing another, yet I do not believe she would make the same weapon twice."
"Has someone taken the original and left behind a fake perhaps?" Another voice asked this one male as well. "This is the first time the vault has been opened in some time."
"No," The first female voice cut in. "The one in the fault was checked and it was confirmed twice over that it was the real Gae Bolg."
Silence filled the room before a younger voice then the rest spoke up.
"This bodes ill. The fairies have been moving a lot of their forces around, our numbers continue to increase, an unclaimed offspring of one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and a mysterious figure wield a weapon that for all intents and purposes is the real Gae Bolg. I fear another war is on the horizon."
"And what are we to do? The gods are on a warpath, and little will dissuade them from it. Besides saying enough of us are more than willing to go to war for their own parents, is about all we can do."
"Then let us hope that nothing else sends the world into chaos." An older voice added to the conversation.
"Wooo and that's that! Now another story idea popped into my head. This time is fate and DxD. The baseline idea is… issei summons gramps. Yeah I know I know Gramps would probably kill Issei for how praverted the kid is but just think about it. Then again those evils in the area would not last long as Gramps would take office to them living. Or maybe Issei could summon Solomon, as the king did have a lot of wives and concubines."
"A few of you asked what about those other stories I was working on, and I think some of you have confused them for more Fate crossovers. I am sorry to say that they are not, The Stargate one is crossed with Halo (and a few other minor crossings), Noble Six being the main character in that one (spartan IIIs all the way!). The Ubersreik 5 will be shipped off to the Inheritance Cycle universe, may or may not be giving them each dragons because why not."
"Anyways thank you all for reading this chapter!"
God Bless and have a wonderful day!
