A/N: Finally back home…for about 2 weeks lol. I get to chill here for a bit, which means fanfic chapters for you! Enjoy :P

Someone actually put up a really good "Magnificent Bastard" entry for Nightmare in the YMMV TV Tropes page for "Mike's New Ghostly Family." I do agree with most of what you've said, but I do want to correct one detail. Nightmare doesn't have any interest in trying to "take over the world," largely for practical reasons. The first being that Heaven would absolutely catch onto that, and the favor he currently has wouldn't save him from getting his ass permanently punted back to Hell if he tried to pull something like that. And the second being that ruling over the world would just be too much of a pain in the ass to deal with even if he could somehow pull it off, since he would have humans, angels, and rival demons gunning for his ass 24/7.

RicAlbuquerque: The ghost children not having a lot of intelligent, in-depth dialogue is largely due to the fact that Nightmare and Infernal Bonnie were basically acting as massive exposition dumps, and the focus was more shifted towards them and Mike. Nightmare's gonna be leaving for a while, so the focus will now shift back towards the ghost kids, which is something I'm pretty sure nobody will disagree with. As for Nightmare himself, I will admit that some of his dialogue did seem rather forced, but he's the type of character who generally presents the outward impression that he doesn't give a shit about the situations he deals with, even if he does actually take them seriously. As for Security Breach and Vanny, I won't be writing that plot arc until the game comes out. I don't mind writing a few filler chapters and Special Delivery will definitely take up a couple of chapters, but if I have to declare a hiatus due to Security Breach's later update or being busy in real life, I will.

Guest: They probably wouldn't react well to Lord Shen either, although I don't plan on writing that reaction at this time.

RDeathClawProductions: Say what you will about the Nightmares, but they don't half-ass dealing with problems.

FNAF World RWQFSFASXC: It's an issue other people brought up before, and it's one I'm actively working to correct in later chapters (barring certain characters like Mike or Fritz).

FrostTheFrozenFox: I mean, all the Nightmares/Infernals can destroy Glitchtrap with hellfire, and destroying Glitchtrap with hellfire probably wouldn't be considered a bad thing by any character in the story (outside of William Afton himself, obviously). And yeah, I was struggling to find a way to end the chapter and I think I pulled it off well with that one :P

Jack0Lanterns: If Jeremy had been tricked by Glitchtrap, he would have possessed Rockstar Bonnie as that was Jeremy's "physical body" at the time. Of course, that still wouldn't have been much of a victory, since the other Rockstars would have immediately recognized that Glitchtrap wasn't Jeremy and would have promptly restrained him. And yeah, I have a feeling soul corruption is what's going on with Vanny, the poor girl.

Yasaka: Well, Ballora was destroyed (and I honestly don't believe the theory that Ballora was possessed by Mrs. Afton anyway). As for Mrs. Afton herself, I don't have any plans for her at this time.

MothraRanger: Yeah, Jeremy dodged a MASSIVE bullet there. And yeah, writing Nightmare is always a blast XD

Guest: Oh, they have souls all right. And Vucarik is still alive since permanently destroying souls is impossible. He's alive in the sense that he's being brutally tortured by Lucifer and every demon who opposed his attempted takeover of Hell, suffering hideous punishments up to and including being crucified to a flaming cross upside down, but he's technically alive in the loosest sense of the definition.

Guest: Yeah, Glitchtrap destroying souls was never a serious possibility that I was gonna consider, either in this fic or in the canon universe.

Ginopippofreebooter: A normal William Afton would treat his children a hell of a lot better than the actual William Afton did, that's for sure.

MegaMaster78: The Nightmares are always fun to write.

Properman: Glad to see you're enjoying yourself! And yeah, Curse of Dreadbear will be coming fairly soon.

Guest: The Nightmares might prefer to terrify people in their dreams rather than try and corrupt them, but the few times the Nightmares have been trying to manipulate people on Earth, that's been their modus operanti for centuries. They don't need any help or inspiration from Glitchtrap for that :P

CountOrlok777: I wouldn't call the Schmidt family dysfunctional, since they do get along with each other well for the most part. Hectic would be a better adjective.

Thanatos D.E.M.: Thanks! And yeah, this chapter was basically a giant info dump courtesy of Nightmare and Infernal Bonnie lol.

Dragon of the Eclipsing Moon: In terms of the next big FNaF-related plot arc, probably Curse of Dreadbear.

Rave Strife: Still waiting on more information from Security Breach before I make that call. And you're not the first person who's wanted the kids to live properly with Mike in some way :P

FireFlamerx9z: Would you really expect anything else from Infernal Bonnie? :P

Chapter 134 – A Difficult Decision

It was honestly a bit of a relief for the Schmidts when Nightmare departed from the house soon after his call with Infernal Bonnie. The Schmidts might not have hated Nightmare anymore given that he had ultimately helped them much more than he'd hurt them overall, but the demon lord's presence always made them uncomfortable and they preferred not to hang around him for a prolonged period of time.

Once he was gone, Mike and the ghosts relocated to the dining room, one of the more frequent rooms they often used as a meeting room to discuss "family business."

"Man, this was a crazy day," Fritz mumbled as he "sat" down at one of the chairs. "I didn't expect to learn all the stuff about Glitchtrap and the VR game from the Nightmares."

"The fact that Glitchtrap could have escaped through TWO ways rather than one really scares me," Susie admitted. "When you think about it, we were REALLY lucky that only one Glitchtrap actually managed to escape. It could have been a lot more."

"And Fazbear Entertainment isn't helping this at all!" Cassidy complained. "How do they still exist as a company when they're So! Goddamn! Stupid!" she punctuated the last three words, making her agitation abundantly clear to all of them.

Gabe shook his head in bemusement. "Out of all the evil or incompetent people wrapped up in the Fazbear tragedy," he commented dryly, "I should NOT be liking the LITERAL DEMONS FROM HELL the most."

"Speaking of Fazbear Entertainment, I think we should get an answer to a question I've wanted to ask for a while," all eyes turned to Jeremy, who was looking pointedly at his father. "Why haven't you just gotten rid of Fazbear Entertainment?"

Susie's head perked up at the question. "Yeah, I've been wondering that too! We all know Fazbear Entertainment sucks. Wouldn't it be better for everyone if you just forced them out of business? You know, by ruining their reputation again or something?" the former Chica inhabitant wondered.

"It wouldn't be very hard," Liz snarked. "Just slander them on the news or on the Internet or something."

Mike didn't immediately answer their questions for several seconds as he thought carefully for his answer. "To be honest, I did consider doing just that," he admitted. "You and I know I don't both give a single flying fuck about honor when dealing with people who don't have any, and it'd be simple for me to talk shit about Fazbear Entertainment both online and to the people I know in the community. And even if I cared about keeping my promise to this Fazbear Entertainment, I could just loophole abuse that promise and ask Nelson do it instead."

Charlie's eyes widened. "Oh, that's right!" she gasped. At the confused looks from the rest of his children, she quickly explained. "Nelson's a friend of my old dad who was a manager of Fazbear Entertainment but quit out of disgust for what they were doing."

"Yeah, I'm sure he'd expose Fazbear Entertainment if I asked him to, and technically I wouldn't even be breaking my promise since I only said that I wouldn't slander Fazbear Entertainment to the public," Mike agreed.

"So why are you letting them exist?" Cassidy prompted.

"There's a couple of reasons," Mike explained. "The first being that there's no guarantee that Fazbear Entertainment would stay down even if I shut them down. We thought Fazbear Entertainment was going to die off for good several times," he started counting the times on each of his fingers. "The early 1980s. 1987. 1993. Fazbear…" he gave Charlie a puzzled look. "Does Fazbear's Fright count?" he wondered.

Charlie gave a very undignified snort. "I hate Fazbear Entertainment just as much as anyone else, but at least they didn't make a building with an awful ventilation system and faulty, fire hazard-level wiring, and freaking William Afton as an animatronic inside it," she retorted scathingly. "I'll give them SOME credit for that…if nothing else," she made sure to add.

Mike nodded. "Okay…and then there's Henry's trap pizzeria and this current version of Fazbear Entertainment. That's five times that Fazbear Entertainment has popped up throughout history, and four times that it came back after a scandal or tragedy brought it down and forced it to close." He scowled. "Which makes me think that even if we bring down this latest version of Fazbear Entertainment and ruin its name around this area of Utah, it's only going to pop back up somewhere else."

"So you're saying that it's only going to hold off the problem for a while instead of actually solving it," Jeremy summarized.

"Yeah," Mike agreed, "and if that happens, it could possibly make the situation even worse if Fazbear Entertainment moves to another part of the country and opens up shop there."

"We didn't find out about Fazbear Entertainment returning until it was almost too late, and that was around here," Gabe shuddered at what would have happened if they had been too late and Glitchtrap had been allowed to do whatever he wanted. "If they go somewhere else, we're not gonna have any idea where they went to, and by the time we figure that out it'll already be too late."

"And people know about the Fazbear tragedy here," Liz added. "Fazbear Entertainment were already caught lying about it once. The bad rep they already have here might be enough for them to be more careful. But if Fazbear Entertainment moves somewhere else after we try to shut them down, nobody who lives there is gonna know about all the terrible stuff they've done, and they can just stop caring and go back to doing crappy stuff again."

"That's one of the reasons why I've been keeping them alive for now," Mike confirmed. "While they're here, we can keep track of what they're doing, and possibly do something to stop them if they start fucking up. I have a decent amount of leverage over them since they think I'll slander them to the public and destroy them if they piss me off too much, and I've got even more leverage since Nightmare is recreating their game for them and essentially saving their ass. We have some control over Fazbear Entertainment right now, and I think using that control properly is the best way to stop another tragedy from happening.

"I still don't trust them to do the right thing," Susie pouted, crossing her arms. "That executive you keep mentioning sounds like a massive jerk."

"Of course not," Mike scoffed. "That's why we're gonna keep them in a situation where they have to do the right thing. Or if they start causing one too many problems, we shut their sorry asses down anyway."

"I mean, I guess that explains why you're keeping Fazbear Entertainment alive for now," Jeremy mused. "I'm not 100% sure I agree with it, but it does make sense."

"But what about that other beta tester?" Fritz suddenly interrupted. "And that other Glitchtrap possessing them? Yeah, we got rid of most of the Glitchtraps, but the fact that there's still one out there is a huge fucking problem!"

"And that's the other big reason I'm keeping Fazbear Entertainment alive right now," Mike continued. "I might have been tempted to shut down Fazbear Entertainment early out of spite despite everything I've just said, but with a Glitchtrap-possessed person out there? No way in hell I'm doing that now.

"It changed your decision that much?" Cassidy asked incredulously.

"There's a Glitchtrap-possessed person out there," Mike explained. "That's practically fact at this point. And we have to assume the worst-case scenario, that this mystery beta-tester person doesn't have a mind strong enough to resist Glitchtrap and will eventually get corrupted by them."

"Which means that whoever got possessed by Glitchtrap is probably going to end up turning into a serial killer like William Afton eventually," Gabe concluded grimly. Knowing this dark truth didn't make it any less painful or horrible to hear out loud.

"Right now, we can predict what that Glitchtrap victim is going to do, at least a little bit," Mike continued. "William Afton is obsessed with Fazbear Entertainment, we know this cause of all the shit he did in the past and because he came back to Henry's trap when he could have gone literally anywhere else to continue his killings. And that's likely also true for Glitchtrap, especially since the person he possessed also works at Fazbear Entertainment. So long as Fazbear Entertainment exists, Glitchtrap and his victim will likely stick around Fazbear Entertainment, and as long as they do that we can get work on getting more intel and possibly come up with a plan to stop them. But if we shut down Fazbear Entertainment early…" he trailed off ominously.

Liz picked up on it first. "…then we'll have no idea what the Glitchtrap victim will do," she realized. "They could just completely slip away, and we'll have no clue who they are, what they're doing…we won't know anything about them at all."

"And that's the worst thing that could possibly happen!" Susie exclaimed in horror. "If that happens, then there's no way we can stop them from starting a whole new tragedy, maybe even more than one!"

"The best case scenario if we shut down Fazbear Entertainment and let the Glitchtrap victim slip away is that they lie low and don't do anything for a while until a new Fazbear Entertainment shows up somewhere else, after which they go over there and we follow them," Mike shook his head. "But again, that's just delaying the problem, and it makes saving the Glitchtrap victim even harder since Glitchtrap will have more time to corrupt them."

"That's not a safe assumption to make," Jeremy muttered. "Actually, knowing what we do about William Afton, that's a pretty terrible one, to be honest."

"Glitchtrap might wait a little while to mess around with whatever next big plan Fazbear Entertainment has, but a killer like him won't wait for long," Mike agreed grimly. "If we shut down Fazbear Entertainment, then Glitchtrap's victim will just slip away and start their killings somewhere else. And we can't go after every murder case in southwest America, let alone all of America, hoping that we find them by sheer coincidence. It's just not something we can realistically do."

"So you're saying that as long as Fazbear Entertainment's still around here, Glitchtrap's victim will hang around too, and we can work on stopping them," Charlie mused. "I see what you're saying, and I think I agree with it." She frowned. "But I feel like there's a problem with what you're saying. I just can't put my finger on it yet…"

Surprisingly, it was Susie who pointed it out. "But what about the Glitchtrap victim's plans for Fazbear Entertainment? If we let Fazbear Entertainment stick around, then that'll give the Glitchtrap victim time to mess around with whatever Fazbear Entertainment's plans are for coming back. And this is William Afton we're talking about! If Fazbear Entertainment makes another restaurant or something and whoever Glitchtrap possessed gets inside, we could be putting people in danger!" the former Chica inhabitant exclaimed.

"Oh, shit!" Fritz breathed in horror. "I didn't think about that!"

"Suddenly I'm not so sure about your plan anymore, Dad…" Gabe mumbled. "I feel like leaving Fazbear Entertainment up and letting Glitchtrap's victim keep getting access to it is a pretty serious downside to your plan. Actually, the more I think about it, the more this sounds like a bad idea."

"Oh it's an awful idea," Mike replied with a cheerfulness that was obviously faked, surprising everyone with how freely he admitted this. "It's a fucking terrible idea. But let's face it, there are simply no really good options to deal with this."

"If there were, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with," Liz muttered. It would've been positively delightful to catch Glitchtrap's victim before they could cause any problems and shut down Fazbear Entertainment all in the span of a few days, but as life had viciously drilled into their heads again and again, you can't always get what you want.

"In cases like this, when you don't have any good choices, the best you can do is to make the choice that is either the least likely to bite you in the ass, or the one that won't bite you in the ass as hard," Mike declared. He genuinely wasn't sure if he'd given this lesson to his children yet, but it was worth repeating even if he had. "It's a tough choice either way, but I honestly do think that letting this Glitchtrap victim possibly do something dangerous or evil with Fazbear Entertainment isn't as bad as letting them slip away into obscurity and do whatever the hell they want without any possibility of us tracking them down, stopping them, or at the very least minimizing the damage. It might take them longer to wreak havoc, but in the long-term the damage would be much worse, especially without any way for us to stop it. You guys might disagree, but those are my thoughts on the topic."

The ghost children mulled carefully over Mike's words. "If there wasn't someone already possessed by Glitchtrap, I would've disagreed with you," Susie finally broke the thoughts, the former Chica inhabitant showing a conflicted expression on her face. "I would've said that we'd be better off just shutting down Fazbear Entertainment again and stopping them from messing things up even more." She shook her head and sighed. "But with that person possessed by Glitchtrap running around? We need to take care of them as soon as possible, and we can't do that if we shut down Fazbear Entertainment and they go off and hide."

"Letting Glitchtrap do whatever he wants is NOT an option, period," Cassidy agreed, though the former Golden Freddy inhabitant didn't look any happier about it than Susie. "Letting Fazbear Entertainment stay alive might cause its own problems, but we can help with those. Hopefully."

Charlie shook his head. "I still don't like this," she muttered. "I still feel like we could be putting people in danger if we let Fazbear Entertainment make another restaurant or something." She sighed. "But since the other option is even worse, I guess we really don't have a choice."

"If Fazbear Entertainment starts making really stupid decisions again like, oh I don't know, scanning a serial killer animatronic's circuit boards into their video game," Gabe didn't even try to hide his contempt towards the company, "Dad can always just slander them and shut them down?" He tilted his head towards Mike. "Right, Dad?"

"Oh, absolutely," Mike grimaced. "I might be willing to let Fazbear Entertainment stay alive for now to avoid a worst-case scenario, but that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore any bullshit that they do. And there's only so much bullshit that I'm going to tolerate from them. I'll use whatever influence I have to keep them in line," he assured them, an intense light in his eyes. "And if they make one too many stupid decisions that will hurt even more people than the worst-case scenario we keep trying to avoid, then I'm going to wreck that stupid business and bury it under the ground, my promise be damned."

It wasn't a pretty solution, and everyone in the family felt conflicted about it to varying degrees. But it was the best that anyone could come up with, and the ghost kids gave their agreement to this plan of action, some of them reluctantly.

"It's not a great plan, but at least we have one," Mike concluded. "I'm still going to spread the word to people I know and care about to stay the hell away from Fazbear Entertainment, just in case…"

Fritz's eyes grew as wide as saucer plates. "Oh, SHIT!" he exclaimed. When everyone gave him confused looks, he quickly explained. "We completely forgot about Alex and Meghan! And Melody! We need to let them know as soon as possible!"

"Crap, you're right!" Jeremy hopped out of his seat and into the air. "I don't want them anywhere NEAR anything Fazbear Entertainment related."

The ghost kids quickly flew to their electronic devices, trying to contact their living friends immediately. Trying to call them only led to an answering machine, but fortunately the Marshall kids responded fairly quickly to a message on Facebook anyway.

Meghan: Hey guys! It's been a while!

Alex: How was your Chicago vacation? It sounds like it was a lot of fun!

Gabe: It was great! Sorry we haven't talked to you in a while.

Meghan: Don't worry about it! We were honestly kind of busy too.

Alex: You guys wanna hang out for a bit? Tell us about all the cool stuff you saw?

Susie: Not right now, we're actually here to warn you.

Meghan: …warn us? About what?

Cassidy: Did you guys hear about Fazbear Entertainment coming back?

Alex: …a little bit? We don't know much. Though we did hear mom and dad talk about a scandal or something.

Jeremy: They tried to lie and say that the murders and tragedy about Fazbear Entertainment didn't happen.

Fritz: Which pisses us off like you wouldn't believe since, you know, we were there.

Meghan: Oh my God, that's terrible!

Gabe: Yeah, but luckily they got caught lying. They tried to make a video game about the past Freddy locations to pretend the tragedy didn't exist, but now they're trying to pass it off as a way to "commemorate the tragedy" or some nonsense.

Liz: We all know the truth though.

Alex: I'm starting to hate this Fazbear Entertainment more and more.

Cassidy: Join the club!

Susie: Anyways, they started making this VR game. Did some really shady stuff with it.

Meghan: I'm guessing you guys want us to stay away from it?

Jeremy: For now. Dad actually has a friend working on the game to make it a lot safer.

Alex: The fact that you're saying that this VR game is somehow dangerous is already worrying me.

Fritz: You have no idea how bad it was before Dad and his friend started working on it.

Gabe: I do have to admit that the game is actually pretty good, but if you're going to play it, wait until we're absolutely sure that it's safe to play before starting.

Liz: Do NOT play Fazbear Entertainment's VR game until we give you the okay.

Meghan: Okay. I am a bit curious, but we'll trust you on this.

Susie: And stay the HELL away from anything else Fazbear Entertainment related.

Jeremy: If they open a new restaurant or something, walk in the opposite direction.

Charlie: And if you see any strangers acting weirdly, don't trust or follow them. At all.

Alex: That last one was a bit random, but okay. This is stuff we learned from our parents.

Gabe: And if you can, spread the word to your other friends about not going near Fazbear Entertainment. That place has a really terrible reputation, even if you don't include all the horrible things that happened there.

"Some of which were done by us," were words left unsaid, but everyone was thinking them regardless.

To their immense relief and gratitude, neither Marshall commented on it.

Meghan: We'll spread the word whenever we can. And don't worry about us going near Fazbear Entertainment, I didn't give a crap about it before and I REALLY don't give a crap about it now.

Alex: Same here, fuck Fazbear Entertainment!

Fritz: Fuck Fazbear Entertainment indeed.

The Schmidt children breathed a sigh of relief. Even though there wasn't much they could do right now, they had at the very least warned their close friends among the living about the dangers of Fazbear Entertainment. And with more work, hopefully they would be able to give the Marshalls enough information to avoid Glitchtrap's possession victim too.

Meanwhile, in Mike's private study, another conversation was taking place at the same time.

"Hey Melody," Mike talked into his phone. "How're you doing?"

"I'm doing fine, Mike, but you seem kind of tense," Melody had picked up on the odd, almost anxious tone that Mike had in his voice. "Are you all right?"

"I'm doing all right myself, but I'm actually calling you about something important."

"Oh?" Melody raised an eyebrow. "What's up?"

"Have you heard anything about Fazbear Entertainment?" Mike asked.

"Not much," Melody admitted. "Why?"

"They're trying to make a comeback," Mike explained. "And it's clear that they're using the same atrocious business practices that fucked up everything they've done in the past forty years."

"I heard about that scandal," If Mike could see Melody's face, she would be frowning. "They got caught lying about trying to hide the tragedy of your kids being murdered, right?"

"Yep," Mike confirmed grimly, "and this isn't the first time they've tried to sweep shit like this under the rug. Not even close."

"That's really messed up," Melody scowled, "but as terrible as it is, I don't know why you're calling me about it. This seems a bit out of the blue."

"The reason why I'm calling you is that at some point, Fazbear Entertainment might try to open a new restaurant with more animatronics," Mike explained. "And they might try to contact Eisensteel to make those animatronics."

"…oh. I think I'm starting to see what you're saying," Melody muttered.

"I don't know how much input you actually have, Mel. But as someone who used to be one of the higher-ups of Eisensteel and as someone who still cares about it to this day, I'm telling you right now that you should stay the hell away from Fazbear Entertainment and say no to anything it tries to get you to do," Mike warned ominously. "You guys are gonna get wrapped up in all the stupid, unethical shit that Fazbear Entertainment will try to pull, and I don't want that to happen to a company I care about. Especially since, depending on how bad it gets, I might just slander Fazbear Entertainment to the public and destroy its reputation anyway."

"We were probably not going to accept any partnerships with them to begin with because of that earlier scandal," Melody mused. "But after hearing what you just told me? Yeah, don't worry, Mike. I'll make Mr. Santor and the others know to stay away from Fazbear Entertainment."

Mike breathed an audible sigh of relief. "Thank God. And Mel?"

"Yeah?"

"I know that you play video games sometimes, and Fazbear Entertainment's working on a VR game. But I've heard it's…unsafe to play right now. So don't pick up the game until I give you the okay, all right?" Mike would have loved to go into full detail about Glitchtrap and just how badly Fazbear Entertainment had mishandled the VR game, but that was better suited for personal conversation and he didn't want to give Melody even more on her plate to deal with. Especially since, with Nightmare's work on the VR game, Glitchtrap would no longer be an issue anyway.

"I don't really know what you're talking about, Mike, but I trust you," Melody assured him. "I'll go tell Mr. Santor and the execs not to trust Fazbear Entertainment as soon as possible."

"Thanks, Mel. It's for the good of Eisensteel."

"If Fazbear Entertainment's really as bad as you say it is, then I definitely agree with you there," Melody declared, before disconnecting the call.

Mike sat down heavily on his study's armchair, letting his cell phone drop onto the table. The events of the past few days had seemingly flown by, and only now, after he and his kids had done as much work towards the VR game as they could for now, could he allow his exhaustion to sink into his bones.

To be honest, he wasn't all that much happier about letting Fazbear Entertainment live than some of his children had been. They had been right to point out that letting Glitchtrap's victim (who was almost certainly a Fazbear Entertainment employee) continue to have access to a currently intact Fazbear Entertainment came with its own fair share of risks and problems. But when the alternative could potentially be so much worse…he didn't see any better options.

It was the first time Mike had been this conflicted and uncertain about a course of action in a long time, and he hated it.

"God," he groaned. "I really hope I'm doing the right thing here. Please don't let this come back to bite us in the ass."

/

A/N: Oh, don't worry, Mike. It probably will. But at least we got to see Melody and the Marshalls again (if only briefly), so that's cool.

I've noticed that the dialogue for the ghost kids has been kinda "minimalistic" in the past few chapters with the exception of Jeremy, so this chapter was a way to bring the focus back onto them, as it should be.

The arguments presented in this chapter do represent my personal thoughts on the debate over whether or not Mike should stab Fazbear Entertainment in the back and bring it down early. There are valid arguments both for and against it, and there isn't really a "good" solution that could easily solve everyone's problems.

Really, the main reason to keep Fazbear Entertainment alive is Glitchtrap/Vanny. If Fazbear Entertainment gets shut down early, then Vanny can completely slip away unnoticed. And since it's a matter of when and not if Glitchtrap corrupts her into becoming the next serial killer, this means that she could start the next killing spree and the next great tragedy literally anywhere. With no way to properly identify or track her down, let alone stop her. At least with Fazbear Entertainment still around, she'll inevitably be drawn to it, giving a degree of predictability to her actions and allowing Mike and his family to figure out who she is and put a stop to Glitchtrap's evil plans.

You may disagree with the course of action that the Schmidt family has chosen in this fic, and that's entirely intentional. Hell, not even the family is fully on-board with this decision. But in their mind (and honestly in mine as well), it's the least shitty one.

But as one might expect, even the better of bad decisions will come with downsides. And there will be consequences for this decision. Take a guess what those will be…

That's all I have for now. Hope you guys enjoyed!
