The first day on the sea was coming to an end as the sun was beginning to set, coloring the sky with gorgeous pink shades. What normally seemed like a memorable scene for anyone, frightened the heroes who were uneasy about any occurrence that could happen, since the sea was quite terrible during the day... Experiencing it at night would be a complete nightmare.
The magnificent ship sailed beautifully that day among sea kings, icy waters full of souls in misery, waters plagued by waterspouts, cyclones larger than the school ground, wild whirlpools formed out of nowhere, and rapid temperature fluctuations. But, regardless of the phenomenon, they always followed the path indicated by the compass pointing to the depths.
The large group of students divided their work to take care of the cleaning and care of the ship, so that the pirates could focus entirely on sailing; since as the Sunny headed in calm waters to their destination, they had no choice but to live with their hosts.
Down on Franky's weapon development room was Creatie, now temporary assistant of the Cyborg who still refused to wear pants even in front of the young girls. Both were accompanied by Aoyama who waited patiently for upgrades on his belt thanks to the manufacturing skills of Franky and Yaoyorozu, both learning from each other.
Gentle knocks announced the intrusion of the symbol of peace who requested the young heroine a sword similar to the musician's so he could practice his combined technique of swordsmanship with iaidō. Yagi didn't want to fall behind in the training, but after receiving the beating from Luffy, he was unable to continue practicing observation Haki, so he ended up seeking for a calmer substitute.
Before the frail hero exited the workshop through the lawn hatch, he managed to perceived a distinctive "voice" in the surroundings despite the thick metal hatch separating him from the outside. The silhouettes from straw hat standing along with Jinbei, his apprentice, and another faint "voice" that he was still unable to identify due to its lack of power.
In preparation for going on deck, Yagi felt a cold perspiration drip down the back of his neck as he knew Luffy was waiting for him.
The hatch swung outward, in a nimble movement Toshinori positioned himself behind it avoiding one of the blows Luffy threw as soon as he peeked out.
"YOUNG LUFFY! TIME OUT!"
"There is no such thing as time out!" He yelled in amusement using the hand he used to try to punch him, to hold on to the hatch and shotting himself out towards the blond who blocked the attack with the sheathed sword, being fired overboard of the Sunny managing to unsheathe the sword and drive the blade into the wood, being able to hold onto it, hanging near the water.
"LUFFY IS RIGHT, IN BATTLE THERE ARE NO FRIENDLY PAUSES" thought the hero pulling his body up to rest squatting on the blade of the sturdy sword.
"Shishishi... Hi," Luffy was sitting on the railing looking at the surprised face of his victim, as he offered his help to get him onboard again.
"What a good beating Luffy's giving to All Might..." Sero commented, as moments before was chatting with the captain to see what use he could make of his ability, taking the rubber boy's elastic arms as a reference.
"He's already defending himself better...," said the Helmsman.
"I don't understand his training... Is it to withstand the blows?" Asked Ojiro, who did not leave the fishman side, eager to learn his karate techniques.
"No. He's training observation Haki..."
"What is that Jinbei san?" Sato asked.
The conversation caught the attention of Midoriya who knew a little about it after helping his tutor with his training.
"It is the ability to see the power and presence of all beings."
"So basically, it's seeing with your eyes closed?" Asked Sero.
"Not even close. Relying so much on sight and hearing can be a hindrance during combat. You need to sharpen your senses in order to perceive the presences around you... No matter how good your eyesight is, you will never be able to see things that move at the speed of light or sound... But it may be possible by mastering observation Haki."
"That's why All Might was walking around the school blindfolded that time..." Ojiro understood the aim of his weird behavior the day before.
"Then there's a less violent way to learn it..." Sero concluded, saddened to see how the captain treated the hero like old cloth.
"That's right, but the most effective will always be during combat."
"Jinbei san... Could you teach us?" Izuku's gaze looked passionate, giving him to understand the young man's level of ambition.
"WAHAHAHAHA, what an interesting kid... For the time being I will explain the basics of Gyojin Karate to young Ojiro, Sato, Tuna and Mäkelä." The fishman plans discouraged the young hero.
"You can ask Sanji-kun, his fighting style interests you, right?"
"Does he also possess Observation Haki?"
"Mhm... Observation and Armament."
"Armament?! What is that Jinbei san?"
"A powerful force that can defend you like invisible armor." The fishman explained, stepping back from the youngsters.
"Young Izuku, hit me with all your strength." He ordered, taking a defensive stance with his palm open in front of him.
"But I could hurt you..." He mentioned nervously
"Heh... I can take it," he said proudly with a wide grin showing his shiny fangs.
Deku accepted the fishman challenge a little afraid of damaging the ship, so he decided not to use more than 30% of his capacity.
"One for All... Full Cowl... 30%"
Small pink fluorescent veins flowed down the young man's skin, and his body started to produce thin green rays that fully encircled him. The power emanating from his persona alerted the 6 Haki wielders on the ship.
Luffy refrained messing with Yagi to both watch the young hero's apprentice and the Ex-Captain of the Sun Pirates sparring.
"ST. LOUIS SMASH!"
The hero leaped toward Jinbei, using the strength of one of his legs as propulsion, and spun, increasing the force of his kick.
The young man's powerful and vicious kick was stopped effortlessly by the triton's crossed forearms, which were fully coated in black, radiating a scorching sensation due to the energy focused in one place.
Upon impact a shockwave traveled through the ship affecting all the passengers on deck.
The Sunny Adam's wood could be heard creaking due to the force exerted by both monsters, but its impeccable quality lived up to its legend, withstanding the consequences of the attack.
Despite the fishman's great resistance, he could admit that if the young hero used more of his strength, it could be compared to the Tobiroppo's.
"OI OI! WATCH OUT FOR THE SUNNY YOU TWO!" scolded the shooter who was standing with Ochako and Mineta in his pop-green garden holding on to the perimetral handrail.
"SUGOOOOOOOOOIIIIII!" Exclaimed the captain with stars for eyes, holding Yagi tightly who almost flew away after the shockwave, while the rest of the companion's needed assistance between them to avoid being blown away.
"Hehe... Not bad young Izuku." Jinbei applauded lowering his arms as the young man returned to his normal form, landing on the ground.
The ex-captain coated one of his arms in armament to explain in more detail.
"By coating yourself with Haki, you can reinforce your skin, muscles and bones, even preventing you from being cut or pierced by weapons."
"It's... The ultimate defense." Izuku exhaled in awe, watching Jinbei's arm return to its blue color.
"Well trained, it can be used offensively, destroying the enemy from within."
"Terrifying..." commented the witnesses of the clash.
"So, Sanji-san can use it too?" The red-haired asked enthusiastically, receiving affirmation from the fishman who continued his tutelage with the small group.
Without wasting time, Midoriya rushed excitedly to the kitchen looking for the cook, running into Nami in the dining room who was leaving with Todoroki and Kaminari towards the green area.
"How can I assist you, Miss Nami?" Todoroki inquired bewildered after the young pirate requested his presence on the deck.
"Just Nami is fine."
"Yes! What are we good for?" Replied Kaminari relaxed, bringing his hands to the back of his neck.
"You'll see~" The young girl stopped at the widest part of the area.
"Shoto~kun." She called the serene young man's attention. "If I understand well... Your right side produces cold and your left heat. Right?"
"That's correct."
"And what can you do with them?" The navigator's question made the boy look at his left arm to begin his explanation.
"I can create large flares, walls of fire, if I raise my temperature to the maximum level, I can unleash devastating attacks of..."
"Enough, thank you... You didn't understand my question..." Nami interrupted, puzzling Shoto.
"I mean... How do you take advantage of the duality of your power?" The pirate took both hands of the boy turning his palms in front of his eyes, while Kaminari blushed waiting anxiously for his turn.
"Duality... I can create a heat wave by using cold air..." He answered while looking to both palms. "I cool the air and then expand it around me using my left side, creating a superheated explosion." Nami smiled at the answer without letting go of the boy's hands.
"Not bad... But there's still more you can do... You have two very powerful skills individually and extremely useful when used properly combined."
Nami saw both palms of the young man, she could perfectly identify which one generated heat and which one cold by the texture of each. The navigator focused on the softer, sweatier hand, lifting it lightly.
"Can you produce heat? We don't need fire... Only generate a little bit of heat."
Shoto nodded as he began to use the power on his left side, which caused the surroundings around him to appear distorted due to the high temperatures.
"Perfect, just like that." Nami celebrated. "Now do the same with your other hand... Produce cold without creating ice."
His right arm seemed unaltered until a small amount of frost started to coat some of his hair and the warm air grew cooler.
"You need to increase the cold just a bit more..." Nami placed her hands a close distance from the young hero in order to feel the temperature variations coming from them and provide a precise response.
"Keep it like that...Focus on feeling their difference compared to the warm environment we are in… Don't forget the sensation of the three temperatures." She said with a playful gesture, seeing that the boy had no idea what the Weather Witch was up to.
"This will be enough to increase the density of the air around you..." She said satisfied with the both temperatures. "Expand the hot air on the ground around you and spread the cold air above your head, but do not cross hands."
Todoroki followed the instructions, placing his heated hand on the ground, while subtly waving the other in the air, noticing how the image around him began to distort.
He did not know if his eyes were cloudy causing him to see everything blurry or if that was what Nami was aiming for, since she was celebrating the young hero who did not understand what was happening.
"Ah! Todoroki, where are you?" Kaminari asked confused as he saw his companion disappear in front of his eyes.
"I'm in front of you..."
"That's not true!"
"You can't be seen by Shoto kun..."
"WHAT? LIKE ME!" The invisible girl approached interested when she heard her friend's voice but couldn't see him.
"You can't see me?"
"That's right... The curvature of the light rays passes through the layers of air with different rates of refraction due to the different densities caused by the temperature, thus generating a mirage." The navigator explained proudly, seeing that no one understood her.
"Ah... mysterious phenomena..." Hagakure and Kaminari concluded in unison.
"You mean that the thermal difference causes the optical properties of the air to vary according to its height with respect to the ground causing the rays of sunlight to follow a convex trajectory that reaches our eyes directly, instead of a straight one." The voice answered, making the navigator proud of the brilliant student.
"HE UNDERSTOOD HER!"
"THAT WAS EVEN MORE COMPLICATED!" They shouted stunned after not understanding that explanation either.
"Then, a mirage hides my position... The projection of the ground and the dense air makes me seem invisible..." Todoroki thought, seeing his hands and surroundings blurred. It was a small price to pay for invisibility.
"Now all you have to do is learn how to control it. You must be seeing blurred because this is your first time, and you may not fully get it." The navigator said as she pulled a little orange cylinder with white lines out of her fanny pack.
"That's right." He replied a still surprised by what he achieved.
Nami gently pressed the staff, making it grow almost as tall her, spinning it in the air to dissipate both temperatures, revealing Todoroki position.
Hot air emitted from one side of the staff, while cold air started to spin it at a quicker rate from the opposite side, making the pirate fully disappear.
"Mirage Tempo" Only her calm voice could be heard.
"When you are able to understand and control the mirage you will be able to move without being seen."
"Ah, Nami-san?" Todoroki was looking in all directions together with his classmates, noticing how the lady's body appeared on the swing, smiling with their wallets and cell phones.
"SHE ROBBED US!"
"Classes aren't free hehe~ " The pirate joked, but didn't return their belongings.
"Excuse me, Nami-san... Why did you call me?" The blond approached the swing curiously.
"You said that using high voltage fries your brain."
"Eh... Well, so embarrassing..." He laughed nervously, scratching his head.
"With Shoto-kun's help you can use maximum power with minimum effort."
"SERIOUSLY! THAT WOULD BE GREAT!"
"Sho~to... Can you create steam?"
"Eh... Yes." With a clash of palms using both powers simultaneously created a cloud of steam invading his surroundings.
"Condense it with heat and decrease the temperature of your right side." The navigator ordered being obeyed instantly, making the hero create a series of clouds floating around.
"Okay guys, I need you to move away... Denki, come closer." The young man was thrilled that the sexy orange-haired pirate finally was paying attention to him.
"Stand in the middle and create static in all the clouds." The electric hero waved his hands creating static that passed to the rest of his body.
"Increase it to sparks, you need to make storm clouds."
"YES, baby!" Denki put on his spectacles and tensed his body, electrifying his surrounds as he reached for the graying clouds. This caused a circuit of storm clouds begin to fuse, growing enormous and menacing as it continued to rise.
"Excellent... Now you just need a target." She looked around curiously until she spotted her captain.
"Direct a spark at Luffy's fork." She ordered nonchalantly.
"What?! NO! He's the captain, if I attack him, he's going to leave me like All Might or worse!"
"Don't worry. He won't mind. Rubber doesn't conduct electricity."
"Either way, I shouldn't!"
"LUFFY! Can we throw a lightning bolt at you?" Nami asked her captain who was eating meatballs from a plate.
"Ok!" he answered stupidly, lifting up his fork with a meatball on it.
"OK?! JUST LIKE THAT!" the students shouted simultaneously.
"Well, you've been warned." Kaminari pointed his finger as if it were a gun at the fork held by Straw hat, firing a small spark that caused a great storm of lightning to coalesce into a giant lightning bolt striking the captain.
"My forecast for today... rain of lightning~ ." Proudly said the navigator.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Screamed the captain.
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" shouted the electric hero scared for his life. "You said it didn't affect him!"
"YOU IDIOT, THAT HURTS!" Luffy complained, blowing at his hand after the lightning melted the fork. "...My meatballs are overcooked!" lamented the young man with a plate of charred food in his hand.
"We're sorry." Nami apologized unconcerned as she watched his captain continue eating in tears with his burnt hand.
"Nami san! You're wonderful, a total genius!"
"I'm Nami, master in the art of weather... Remember that! ~ "She introduced herself proudly.
"Impressive" Todoroki couldn't believe the destructive level created between the two of them. "Maximum result, minimum effort." Shoto saw his hands. "I am able to do more than just create two elements."
From the upper floor Mineta and Ochako watched in awe at the achievement of their classmates thanks to the skilled navigator.
"That was amazing..." Mineta expressed perplexed, relaxing his arm that was carrying a bow created by Usopp and calibrated to support arrows with the little one's afro.
"Yes, Nami is a genius when it comes to weather knowledge... You know, I made her weapon... My masterpiece: The Sorcery Clima Tact!" Bragged the long-nosed.
"You're an outstanding inventor!" Expressed Uravity in surprise, with her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.
"I'm just handy with tools." Usopp replied, wiggling his long nose with his thumb.
"Then Usopp san... What are these?" Asked the lovely young lady, pointing to the plants in her garden.
"Those are Pop Greens." He said harvesting the buds. "You know... With your power you could be a great shooter.
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah! Your quirk is perfect for rescue missions, but when it comes to battles, you'll be at disadvantage because you need a close combat to activate it... So, it wouldn't hurt to learn how to shoot." He said with a grin on his face. "Shooting with zero gravity can be the ultimate combination for long range attacks… You just need to learn how to do calculations, how the wind can affect the trajectory and experiment with weightless shots under different circumstances… It won't be difficult since the remain at constant speed and height." Explained the sniper, seeing how Uraraka's eyes went spiral as she didn't understand his speech.
"Ehm... I what I'm trying to say is that, with your ability it can make it easier for you to be a sniper... I brought you here to explain my Pop Greens... They are very useful seeds for battle, when all this is over you can take some from my garden to start your own cultivation."
"Really? I mean... It's not necessary! I don't have enough to pay for it." She said with embarrassed, putting her fingers together.
"That won't be necessary… It's a gift"
"Why are you helping us Usopp?" Mineta asked.
"Heh... For a long time, I felt I was just a hindrance. Then I realized my importance as a sniper... I didn't want to feel like a secondary support; I wanted to be part of the crew and defend them equally. In a life where the world is your enemy, you only have your nakamas left... I don't want to lose anyone during our journey." He said sadly. "But you carry the responsibility and lives of humanity... Well... what I'm trying to say is: You must always do your best to protect as many lives as you can."
White gloves peeked over the handrail revealing the young heroine of the rainy seasons who climbed up to join her classmates. She started to wandering between the three gardens while keeping her index finger in her mouth, looking intently among the tangerine trees as she searched for something.
"What are you looking for Tsuyu chan?" Ochako asked curiously, looking at the disoriented heroine.
"Haven't you seen Yue? Kero"
"No... Did she wake up already?" asked Uravity relieved.
"We don't know... I went with Koda to learn with Dr. Chopper about natural medicine at the infirmary and when we arrived, her body was gone."
"What?! Where did she go?" Mineta asked worried.
"If we knew, we wouldn't be looking for her, Kero."
"Ah... You're right."
"If you're not too busy, could you help us look for her?" Both heroes felt committed to the pirate, not wanting to leave him after his good intentions.
"Go... We still have more days for the gardening lessons." Said the shooter nonchalantly being thanked by the pair.
Continuing on her way, the little heroine saw behind the tangerine bushes at the archeologist sitting on a beach chair explaining the versatility of her ability to Tentacle who was trying to copy the same skill of the mysterious woman making a hand sprout another hand, but failing in the attempt.
Both denied knowing anything about the young woman's whereabouts, but the archaeologist looked genuinely concerned about her sudden disappearance, so she closed her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Eyes Fleur"
Hundreds of petals appeared revealing several eyes sprouting in different parts of the ship frightening those who did not know the reach of her power.
The pirate had difficulty seeing in the outer areas as the sun was about to set completely, being the purple tones of the twilight that prevented her from having good lighting.
After a few minutes a drop of sweat ran down her long hair, letting out a sigh, while her serious gesture changed to an embarrassed one.
"Did you manage to find her Nico-sensei?" Shoji asked.
"Yes... She's okay... The oracle is in the watchtower with Zoro, you'd better go get her." Robin let out a sigh after the unusual scene she witnessed.
"Thank you, Robin-chan.,"
Tsuyu continued her way in search of the Doctor down stairs seeing the silhouettes of the old musician practicing songs along with Jiro, while Mina danced happily to their compositions.
The young heroine could only feel happy to see all her classmates enjoying together with those wide smiles on their faces, the bitter pill of the morning had completely disappeared.
The lights of the Sunny began to lit all the rooms, heading to the dining room that connected to the infirmary where Chopper was waiting for her.
The door opened to reveal the energetic captain along with Chopper laughing at the stubbornness of the cook refusing to teach his fighting style to Iida and Izuku, who had been insisting for a while to teach them how to use the armament haki and techniques to increase speed and strength in their kicks.
"I HAVE ALREADY SAID NO! STOP INSISTING!"
"We told you he wouldn't accept because you are not women." said Chopper.
"Are you serious?" Iida asked ridiculed.
"Yes."
"Sanji-Kun, can you teach my friends?"
"AYE, TSUYU CHWAN~ !"
"Just like that?" Iida and Deku were more than surprised.
"All right, if you want to learn, you will have to earn it!" Sanji said preparing ingredients "Dinner time is coming... So, help me wash the vegetables."
"AYE, SANJI SAN"
"Tsuyu, did you find her?" asked the Doctor.
"Robin chan said she's with Zoro."
"Zoro?" Chopper sighed. "I've got a bad feeling...Luffy, let me a hand."
The captain carried the little reindeer on his shoulders to the training room the swordsman had taken over, bumping into Fumikage, Bakugo and Kirishima inside, exhausted from lifting adjustable dumbbells of 40kg each.
In the background, the sweaty green-haired could be seen working out with a barbell filled with the thickest and biggest discs in the room, all of them being covered by a bandage tying a lump the size of a person.
The heroes noticed the intrusion of the captain accompanied by the doctor, to which Fumikage and Kirishima could not hide the trace of guilt on their faces; the amount of sweat that ran down their faces increased as if they had been soaked by a storm.
"Are they all right? It seems you have fever, that's way too much sweating." asked the innocent reindeer.
"They are just tired; they are not used to so many repetitions with so little weight." Explained Zoro continuing to swing his weight as if it were a sword.
The little reindeer looked at the strange lump tied to the swordsman's weight, analyzing the strange shape it had, until, in one of the lifts, one of the bandages came loose, letting the long-tangled hair of the young girl fall down.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Shouted the reindeer with big sharp teeth.
"We are sorry." Kirishima and Tokoyami bowed apologetically.
"WE TOLD HIM IT WAS A BAD IDEA." Kirishima confessed, not bearing the guilt.
"He said it was necessary so that her joints wouldn't be damaged." Tokoyami continued.
"TCH... He just wanted extra weight." Bakugo expressed calmy for his first time, followed by a sharp look at the captain who did not give him importance.
The swordsman turned at the annoyed doctor with an expressionless face without showing any remorse of his actions.
"It was my turn..." He complained shamelessly, after having been denied to use her as dead-weight the day before.
"ME! IT'S MY TURN!"
"NO LUFFY!"
"Zoro, the purpose of carrying her is to move her joints! Not to shake her! You'll give her head trauma, you idiot!" Yelled Chopper at Zoro, trying to calm down so he can continue explaining. "In her condition she's barely getting oxygen to her brain, so if you continue with this, you'll cause her to have less..." Zoro ignored him and continued with his rep.
"STOP, YOU IDIOT!" Chopper shouted, scraping his voice with sharp teeth and bulging eyes.
The heroes unmoored the body while the swordsman removed the tension in his shoulders with circular motions.
"What a good warm-up... The stiff's body is even heavier than the weights..." He said with satisfaction, tying his katanas back to his waist.
"Zoro Aniki, that's not considered a warm-up..."
"Maybe not for you because you need strength... "He commented calmly causing Bakugo to sprout veins and grit his teeth. He was powerless to disagree with him; all he had to do was work really hard in his training to model after the swordsman.
Fumikage absorbedly appreciated the katanas the swordsman possessed, feeling his heart race in an unexpected way, as if the katanas possessed their own energy.
"Zoro kun..." The crow caught the attention of the green-haired who responded by raising an eyebrow.
"That sword... Is it cursed?" The hero pointed to the red-hilted katana.
"Can you feel it?" He asked, to which Tokoyami remained silent.
"Sandai Kitetsu... a Sandai Wazamono. It comes from a family of cursed swords whose wielders usually die wielding it." He explained, placing his hand on it.
The heroes were fascinated by the brief explanation, unable to control the trembling in their hands.
"Aren't you worried that it will end your life?" Kirishima joined his classmate.
"My will is stronger than his murderous desire." Tears of emotion welled from Kirishima.
"What about the others?"
Zoro placed his hand showing affection on the white handle of the next katana.
"Wado ichimoji... One of the 21 O Wazamono... It has great value for me, it represents my greatest wish and I will carry it with me until I achieve my goal." He said with nostalgia, for then rest his hand on the last one with the purple hilt.
"Enma... Also from the family of the O Wazamono, just holding it could drain your life... It is said to be able to cut through the bottom of hell." He unsheathed it, revealing the edge of its blade with its darker colored hamon.
The sword emitted a heavy energy, creating a feeling of being watched, similar to a hunter's relationship with his prey.
Kirishima's eyes lit up the room followed by tears welling up in them... Pausing the help he was giving the reindeer so he could dry his eyes.
"Are you all right?" Tokoyami asked worriedly.
"It's too incredible." His partner couldn't help but smile at his reaction.
"I agree... Thank you very much Zoro kun." The students thanked, accompanying the captain who came down carrying the body followed by Chopper.
The students were finishing setting up the table, claiming the three missing ones who didn't help.
Aoyama and Hagakure were placing lanterns around to illuminate the dark deck that received only moonlight shine.
"Guys... Look at that." Uravity called captivated to everyone toward the gunwale of the Sunny.
Tiny organisms were colliding with the ship creating an illuminated path of bioluminescence. The keel-cut waves glowed a beautiful neon blue, painting everything in their path. Beneath the boat they could see the silhouettes of illuminated dolphins leaping to the surface in glee.
The beautiful light of the sea reflected on the excited faces of the crew members, causing them to want to jump in for a dip, but their respect for the old world waters prevented them from doing so.
When Franky noticed how happy everyone looked, he opened one of the Sunny's channel 6, lowering the pool so they could enjoy the experience, while the two fishmen followed Jinbei into the water to swim among the dolphins, demonstrating that there was nothing to be afraid of.
The young students and Midnight were encouraged by the freedom with which the fishmen were swimming, to quickly remove their accessories and shoes and descend to the inflatable pool and submerge their feet, while the rest of the party was serving the food on the table.
Tokoyami watched in thought from the deck as his classmates kicked and dipped their heads into the glowing water, ending up with blue sparks glittering on their skin.
"Wazamono... I had heard that term... Saijo O Wazamono." He said softly to himself.
"Where did you hear that?" The young man's words completely caught Zoro's attention, who approached towards him.
"Zoro-kun"
"The Saijo O Wazamono are the Meito of supreme grade… They are so uncommon you could count them on the fingers of one hand."
Fumikage searched his cell phone for the photo of Murakumogiri he had shot that day at the museum.
"Do you know anything about the bearer of this Naginata? Yue explained about its name and origin, but said nothing about its bearer." He inquired, wanting to know more about the history of the mysterious weapon.
"Yue?" The swordsman pressed his temple trying to recall the name.
"Your dead weight." Tokoyami answered, making the swordsman hit his palm with the fist, understanding who he was referring to.
"Oi!" Luffy jumped on deck trying to convince everyone on the grass area to join them.
"Mmm I don't recognize it." Zoro answered, looking at the picture.
"What Zoro?" Asked the straw hat boy curiously, looking at Fumikage's phone.
"Mmmm I've seen it before... Let me see!" Luffy snatched the cell phone from the hero, exploding instantly after touching the screen, leaving the captain's face charred.
"My cell phone..."
"STOP GIVING YOUR DEVICES TO LUFFY!" Yelled Nami annoyed, as she saw everything from below.
Sanji called the crew members of the Sunny who began to take their seats, excited to taste the chef's exquisite cuisine again, having a more relaxed meeting than the previous ones.
"Are you all right?" asked the pink girl intrigued to her classmate.
"Now we'll never know..."
"What Tokoyami?"
"Who was the owner of the Naginata of the Museum?"
"This one?" Mina showed the photo on her cell phone after going through several selfies.
"Yes! That's the one!"
"It's Whitebeard's Naginata." Said Jinbei looking sideways as he passed followed by the fishmen.
"AH! THE OLD MAN!" remembered Luffy.
"Do you know him Luffy san?" asked Mina.
"Yes! He was a tough old man, my brother's captain! I liked him, he had a funny mustache and helped me during the war."
"The War?..."
"He was the protector of my island for many years. An honorable man... He had absolute loyalty to his crew and allies, loving them all equally as his sons." Everyone was attentive to the man's noble description.
"Nee-san said that he was a monster..." Ashido commented disappointedly.
"She wasn't making any reference to his behavior or appearance... His strength was monstruous. With almost seven meters tall, he could, with a single blow, unleash a global tsunami."
"WHAT?!" The Sunny jolted after the scream of all the heroes upon hearing the description.
"WHAT?!" Upon hearing the description, the Sunny jolted caused by the heroes' screams.
"THAT CAN'T BE TRUE." Iida reacted terrified.
"He was a monster," Jiro couldn't believe her ears.
"It's a good thing that power fell into the hands of someone responsible." Momo said relieved, leaving all the serious pirates silent.
"When a fruit's owner passes away, its power reincarnates in another fruit, which can transfer its power to the new user who eats it." Robin explained a bit worried.
"The current user is the least suitable person to possess its destructive power," Jinbei continued, causing Luffy to stifle his grin and tighten his fists. The heroes gulped as they saw the captain's serious expression for the first time.
The conclusion of the meal was signaled by the sound of silverware clinking with the dishes. Sanji's personal assistants cleaned up after their friends' mess.
"Sanji-san, now will you teach us how to use the Haki?" The freckled asked worriedly, balancing dozens of dishes in his arms.
"Haki Haki Haki," grumbled Bakugo between his teeth, with several veins marked on his forehead.
"What's wrong with you Bakugo?" Asked his red-haired friend confused by his sudden behavior.
"I'VE BEEN HEARING ABOUT HAKI ALL DAY LONG, I'M SICK OF IT!"
"Kachan, instead of having that attitude, you should take advantage too and learn about it." Midoriya made an effort to soothe his 'friend'.
"SHUT UP NERD!" He yelled in exasperation, turning to look at the joyful captain who was chatting to Todoroki with great familiarity.
"HEY YOU, STRAW HAT MORON!"
Luffy put his talk on hold to pay attention to the explosive hero.
"FIGHT ME! I want to see what that Haki you all talk can do!"
"YOUNG BAKUGO PLEASE DESIST" All Might tried to stop the rabid hero, as he was being mocked by the Usopp, Sanji and Brook, since he was all covered with bandages just like a Mummy.
"YOSH!" Knowing what Bakugo was capable of, the captain accepted defiantly.
"YOSH?!"
"Wait Luffy, there's not enough room." Nami meddled between both.
"Hey, half and half! Freeze the sea." Bakugo commanded with a satisfied maniacal grin after the captain accepted the challenge.
"Bakugo, you shouldn't be looking for trouble with the captain." Iida demanded.
"Well, he wants to fight." Kaminari supported, looking at the joyful boy with the straw hat.
"THAT IDIOT IS ONLY A COUPLE OF YEARS OLDER THAN US, how much difference can it make?"
"Shishishi, don't worry, this will be quick."
"Huh?! What are you insinuating shitty hat"
"Hey kid, don't mess with his hat." Corrected the long nosed.
"Oi Luffy, are you sure about this?" Chopper interfered trying to talk some sense into his captain.
"He wants to learn about the Haki... What better way to demonstrate its use than combat." said Jinbei
"You should have left him to me, my sword craves for blood..." Zoro said defiantly holding Enma while the boys were sweating from nerves.
"Zoro, don't scare the boys for your amusement!" Nami hit the green-haired.
The Sunny's anchors lowered as the surface got frozen by Todoroki, creating a huge platform where the explosive hero was waiting anxiously.
"What's wrong Midoriya?" Todoroki asked, noticing the young freckled abstracted.
"How strong is the captain?"
"Huh?" The heroes who heard his comment got thoughtful for a few moments.
"He's right... Ever since we met him, he hasn't stop playing around... Even with All Might; he is just a toy to his eyes, while sensei barley manages to avoid his attacks." Iida said what everyone was thinking.
"Well... It's not like All Might is in his best shape..."
"Low blow Tsuyu chan..." They said in unison
"IT'S TRUE, BUT IT STILL HURTS"
"Zoro-Kun doesn't seem like a person who follows someone weaker than him..." Tokoyami's comment made everyone swallow saliva. Even without seeing the boy's potential, that statement gave them a clear idea of his level.
"It's time for you to learn something..." Aizawa approached with a somber tone toward the group.
"Aizawa sensei?"
"Never judge a book by its cover..."
"Sensei, we must stop them!" Momo asked worriedly about her classmate with anger issues.
The grinning boy walked past the passengers heading towards the huge ice rink, slipping as he landed, spinning out of control and biting the surface to stop himself from sliding, accidentally getting his tongue stuck in the ice.
"Tch... You've got to be fucking kidding me... Is this guy really the captain?" thought Bakugo as he watched Luffy panting constantly to melt the ice that had him trapped.
"YOSH! Shishishi"
"I'm concerned that Bakugo might act out to the extreme when angry?" Present Mic joined.
"Mic sensei?" They looked confused by his comment to their teacher.
"YOUNG BAKUGO'S ATTITUDE MAY CAUSE A PROBLEM."
"What are you implying?" Midnight asked the blond.
"THERE IS NOTHING MORE FEARSOME THAN WIPING AWAY A WARRIOR'S CHEERFUL SMILE."
Midoriya remembered what happened that day on the practice grounds with the Nomu. The first time All Might wiped his smile in front of his eyes, he couldn't help but shudder as he noticed his mentor's seriousness.
"We have to stop him!" Ashido insisted.
Knowing there was nothing he could do to stop his friend; Deku carefully observed the two young men on the ice; He was aware that Bakugo request to fight in order to comprehend Haki better, and that he was confident to have the strength to face the captain.
The swell illuminated the edges of the icy platform and the bioluminescent organisms ran below the surface painting the ice blue hues, able to display the bodies of the combatants in their midnight combat.
"BAKUGO!" His classmates yelled trying to warn him of the mess he was getting into, but the boy took it as a start signal.
"DIEEEEEEE!"
Without touching the surface, the explosive hero launched himself right at the young man wearing a straw, his face was lighted, and Bakugo was able to see his huge smile and shut eyes, as Luffy moved to the side, easily dodge his attack.
"DAMN!"
Bakugo continued to move through the air as if it were his element. His movements were impeccable, changing directions without hesitation whenever he was avoided, switching up his angles, and remaining constantly in motion even when none of his attacks connected.
On the other hand, the pirate appeared to be able to anticipate all of his attacks, since he made the slightest effort to avoid the explosions while consistently returning to the same spot.
"Damn, he seems to know where I'm going." Bakugo thought annoyed. "So that's it..." He evoked a defiant smile as he experienced firsthand the use of the technique.
"You're slow Bakago!" Luffy said picking up his nose.
"HOW DID YOU CALL ME, YOU SHITTY PIRATE?!" He yelled angered by his nickname, blasting away to the other end, choosing another course of action.
Bakugo busted around, looking for his target in the distance, finding the captain's firm body still in the same place. "THAT FUCKING IDIOT, HAVEN'T MOVE AN INCH!"
His sweating hands produced enough glycerin to wipe out everything in front and around him. Several sparks began to cover his torso, and his hands burned red hot, preparing to cause a devastating blast.
"IS THAT?! What he used to destroy the hail!" Usopp shouted worriedly.
"If he destroys the ice platform Luffy-san will be in trouble." Said Sero
"Froppy, you should keep an eye out in case he falls into the water." Midnight requested.
"That won't be necessary." The cook commented nonchalantly.
"They completely trust him," Ochako whispered.
"He's the captain for a reason." Deku responded thoughtfully, not taking his focus away from the fight.
Finally, the captain walked away from his post, and shattered a portion of the surface as he advanced towards the young explosive in a single fast movement.
"Heh! So, you want death to go!" Bakugo mocked with a maniac grin.
Bakugo's body advanced in a whirlwind of destruction surrounded by fire that shattered every surface he traveled through due to the explosions he set off; but his way was abruptly stopped as the pirate was able to grip him by the wrists.
Only by using strength and keeping his body attached to the brittle ice, Luffy deflected the blow and redirect the devastating strike upward, which caused the entire fighting ground to collapse after the enormous explosion's blast.
The flare could be seen from miles away; for a few moments the blue glow of the sea and stars disappeared completely due to the powerful explosion in the sky.
"He redirected it" Katsuki was stupefied, but his thoughts were interrupted after being thrown into the water, which he hardly managed to avoid using bursts of explosions to head for the heights away from Straw-Hat who jumped on different blocks of ice, finding the widest one to wait excitedly with a big defiant smile for the hero's next move.
"No... Can't... Be..."
"He stopped Kachan's strongest attack"
The ice had fractured into dozens of large chunks that moved independently through the water, making it difficult to move between them.
The hero's shadow appeared in front of the moon and then vanished owing to an overabundance of flashes that evolved into a hail of gunfire targeted at the captain, who simply watched with interest, not making any attempt to flee.
"AP-SHOT, AUTO CANNON!"
Luffy's arm turned dark as night, smoothly and fluidly deflected all the fire blasts with rapid precise movements without even touching them.
Everyone had their full attention before the captain impenetrable defense, but All Might "saw" it differently. The silhouette of Luffy showed small channels of energy moving through his body like veins; focusing and remaining flowing from his elbow to his fingertips. "ARMAMENT HAKI"
"Is that his Quirk doing?" Mina turned to the pirates waiting for an answer.
"No. RRuffy doesn't need the power of his fruit to win," Franky celebrated, giving them a thumbs up.
"Is that Armament Haki?" Aizawa asked in amazement.
"THAT'S CORRECT"
"Fascinating," Shoto spoke impressed.
"He stopped Bakugo's attack like it was nothing." Jiro couldn't believe her eyes.
The haze created by the explosions dispersed, showing the young pirate standing unharmed.
"NOTHING HAPPENED TO HIM!" The students shouted in astonishment.
"I DID NOTHING TO HIM?" The young explosive was surprised.
Bakugo could feel more heat inside his body than the heat he generated when he attacked. His pride had been damaged when he saw that a boy just a few years older than him, didn't even bother to use his Quirk to face him... That made his blood boil.
His thoughts temporarily cleared as he remembered back to the morning's incident, "That idiot can't swim!"
Bakugo increased his speed with a series of explosions heading for the large block of ice where the pirate was, landing in the center of the frozen surface, painting the water fluorescent blue caused by the organisms and disappearing its light behind the illumination created by his Quirk.
"LAND MINE!"
A huge explosion occurred, destroying most of the ice chunks used as battlefield. The combination of heat and cold created a massive cloud of steam that didn't stop spreading, covering water surface and depriving everyone present of their sight.
The encounter proceeded within the clouds, the steam glowed in different directions every now and again, revealing its location of the explosive youngster.
"He caused his own handicap"
"What do you mean Ojiro?" Hagakure asked.
"Luffy-san doesn't need to see to know where Bakugo is."
"Yo-hoho, I see you already understand how it works." Clapped the skeleton.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!"
To everyone's surprise, a piercing yell came from the massive cloud of steam.
"What happened, did he hurt Luffy?" Nami looked around worried, trying to find her captain's silhouette.
"I can't see anything!"
"Did he got hit?" Mineta joined in intrigued, looking between the spaces of the handrail together with Chopper.
The navigator used her staff to create an airburst to clear the steam and show the scene in response to her captain's worried screams.
As the young hero gathered his breath on one of the few remaining ice blocks, while Luffy was hysterical looking around in every direction.
"WHERE? My hat? WHERE'S MY HAT!" At last, the pirate seemed vulnerable, leaping through the remaining ice in search of his precious treasure.
The hat floated close to the hero who retrieved it, observing it in annoyance... The significance Luffy's placed on the hat irritated him considerably. His fight wasn't little more than a game for the pirate... In fact, he can't even consider it a game, as the captain hadn't launched any attack throughout the entire combat.
"Damn it...He stood still most of the time during our duel... But he strains to look for his stupid hat!"
"Ah, BAKAGO, you found it, thank you!" The captain reacted relieved. The tears that had just gathered in his eyes quickly disappeared at the sight of the boy's threat.
The outraged hero held the young pirate's most valuable treasure in front of him, while with his other hand poised to incinerate the flammable hat beneath it.
The ship's presences felt weighty, prompting discomfort in All Might, who was the first to notice the pirates' change of attitude, ranging their feelings from rage to concern. Yagi could see how the other heroes sensed the uneasy mood as well making before all, an uncomfortable atmosphere.
Aizawa turned to face his students, observing how they all came out in a cold sweat in response to those present's abrupt change of mood... Fearing that if he made use of his quirk to stop the combatants, that would leave Bakugo vulnerable in the event of an attack from the pirates; who even tho, they had been exemplary hosts, that didn't change the fact that they were still villains.
"BAKUGO THAT'S ENOUGH!" Rebuked the blond.
"KACHAN GIVE HIM HIS HAT BACK!"
"Luffy is upset!" Several heroes spoke up after noticing that the cheerful pirate frowned, lacking his trademark smile for the first time.
"Give it back..." Luffy ordered annoyed, with the shadow of his hair covering his eyes.
"You'll have to take it from me before I incinerate it, baaaaaka." Bakugo mocked with his raspy voice, waiting for a reaction from the captain to receive the battle he deserved.
Luffy looked up with his shrunken pupils displaying wrath as Bakugo finished his threat. A sudden throb made everyone overcome by a terrifying atmosphere, the surf began to change and move in waves around the captain, as trails of light caused by the brightness pulsed several times, causing sea life to flee the area.
The explosive-tempered youngster fell on his knees losing consciousness simultaneously with the animals fleeing the scene... Leaving Bakugo lying with half his body above the water releasing the hat from his hand as the stream returned it to his rightful owner.
"This is my treasure... Don't you ever touch it again..." He stated in a serious tone while draping it over his face, shading his gaze.
"NEVER DO ANYTHING THAT COULD MAKE PEOPLE LIKE LUFFY LOSE THEIR SMILES." All Might declared in astonishment and concern after witnessing how he quickly and silently defeated a prodigy without even touching him.
"Well... This is over... You brats, go wash the dishes." Sanji ordered, breathing a sigh of relief as he saw his captain put on his hat, then turning to look on the ship feeling sorry for the more than half students and professors passed out on the floor.
"Oh Luffy, you overdid it!" The long-nosed yelled, lifting his shoulders and letting the air out in a deep sigh.
"WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?" Kirishima asked concern, seeing only three of his classmates and two of his teachers standing with the rest of the pirates.
"Are they all right?" asked the two-colored-haired in awe.
"They just fainted... They couldn't stand his presence." Brook mentioned.
"What was that?" asked the young red-haired as he saw his knocked-out classmates.
"Conqueror's Haki" The cook answered indifferently as he carried Midnight to the aquarium.
"Conqueror's Haki... They didn't mention that one..." said Deku along with his mentor who hadn't witnessed it before.
"It's pointless; just one person in a million have it... And it appears that none of you possess it." The swordsman remarked weary as he started to carry the students to their temporary dormitory.
"It allows them to exert their own willpower over others..." Jinbei completed.
"Un-believable..." Shoto, who used to think it instead of saying it aloud, suddenly joined Kirishima, Tokoyami, and Deku in unison.
Midoriya could not control his emotions; human capabilities were beyond what he could understand... Their limitations were always what they believed to be a Gift.
The captain boarded the ship carrying the young ashen on his arm, dropped him like a sack on the floor along with their classmates, so that they could be taken to their quarters.
"LUFFY SAN, PLEASE TEACH US HAKI!" requested the only 4 conscious students.
"Ok. Shishishi"
"THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE GETTING INTO..." A drop of sweat ran down his hair.
Yagi watched as they all assisted in carrying the unconscious heroes to the aquarium room, paying special attention to his heir enthusiastically chatting with the captain who had been in charge of knocking out his companions, not avoiding smiling at both enthusiastic young men, a smile that faded at the shock of reality.
"A BATTLE IS COMING AND I AM NO LONGER IN CONDITION TO FIGHT, IF AT LEAST THESE YOUNG HEROES MANAGE TO AWAKEN THEIR HAKI, IT COULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN THIS CRUEL CONFRONTATION."
