DeathlyJazzHands55: I did you one better, I watched the whole movie. I never realized how...dirty...Happy Feet was.

OKKO3 Requiem: I plan for each chapter ahead of time, and how it would fit into the story. However, I always leave a bit for feedback from my audience, just in case someone has a good idea I would want to try. I'd say planning takes a few days, and writing takes a few hours.

...

"What the hell do we do?!" Kyoka said, putting her head between her hands. "I can't believe this..."

"I know..." Johnny responded. "I mean, we're stuck together...God, what if our classmates assume something?"

"We have a giant chain between our chests, I think they will understand."

Gyro looked between the two. "Did you guys get a teacher, Aizawa? Dr. Kujo?"

"My uncle went to get both of them, it happened under his watch after all."

"What happened? How did you two get linked together like that?" Gyro asked, poking at the chain.

"Enemy stand user, he just ran up and pushed Kyoka into me, and next thing we knew-"

"We couldn't separate from each other." Kyoka finished as Aizawa walked into the room, with Jotaro and Josuke behind him. Aizawa looked them up and down, frowning, his tired eyes showed a brief moment of concern, before he turned to the two Joestars behind him.

"Have you tried breaking it?"

Jotaro nodded. "Star Platinum didn't even make a dent. Besides, it's connected to their hearts. One wrong move, and we could accidentally kill them."

Aizawa sighed. "This is getting ridiculous. How many stand users are going to be attacking my students?"

"We're working on it, but Santana took over the League of Villains, he's been using them as his own personal minions. He's just as hard to find as they were."

Aizawa growled. "I can only erase quirks, not stands. I can't protect them from this..."

"You're doing more than enough, Shota." Jotaro put a hand on Aizawa's shoulder. "Besides, the stand users are rookies, which gives us a chance. Eventually, Santana will slip up, and we will hit him with everything we've got."

Josuke nodded. "Besides, this guy's stand isn't exactly the most dangerous thing in the world. Attaching two people together isn't too much of a problem, they aren't hurt after all."

Aizawa grimaced, and turned back to his students. "Well, until we find the stand user who did this to you, you two will be excused from classes due to your...situation."

"Thank you Mr. Aizawa."

Aizawa looked out at the setting sun. "It's getting late, you two should get some sleep."

Johnny and Kyoka looked at each other, and then back at their homeroom teacher. "Uh, how exactly are we supposed to...do that?"

"Just pick one of your dorms and sleep together."

Kyoka almost fainted, while Johnny could only stare at Aizawa with a horrified expression. Gyro, on the other hand, fell to his knees and began laughing his ass off. Josuke was doing the same, rolling around and hugging his knees at their dumbfounded expressions.

"With adult supervision, of course, there is no way we would let the two of you sleep together alone, you're teenagers after all."

Aizawa turned to Jotaro. "You think you could look after your son?"

"That's my job."

"Good." Aizawa walked out of the room, leaving the two teenagers wondering if their luck could get any worse.

...

After a rousing game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, they settled on Kyoka's room, and now they were both laying next to each other on her bed, staying as far away from each other as The Chain would allow.

Jotaro sat on the other side of the room, casually reading a book, oblivious to the incredibly tense situation that Johnny and Kyoka were going through.

Johnny found his eyes wandering to the girl laying next to him. She was staring at the ceiling, looking like she was holding in a massive turd. I'm making her uncomfortable...

Kyoka, on the other hand, was purposefully looking away from Johnny, deathly afraid of seeing his reaction. What if he's grossed out? Why was he so scared earlier? Is it me? Is Josuke wrong? What if this changes our relationship? What if he doesn't like me anymore? What-

The two teens eventually closed their eyes, and Johnny's final thoughts before driving off were as follows.

It's okay...it's like two friends having a sleepover...in the same bed...

Friends...

Yare yare daze...who am I kidding?

...

Johnny woke up to see that he had three arms.

Johnny blinked, confused by the recent development. There was a third arm in the middle of his other two...no, the arm wasn't attached to him, it was around him.

In fact, something was pressed into his back, it almost felt like two pillows, and there was a warm gust of air blowing across his neck. There was something pressing up against the back of his body.

That's when Johnny realized that Kyoka was spooning him. The arm was her arm, wrapped around him in a tight embrace, the warm gust of air was her breath, her face was nuzzled into the spot between his neck and his shoulder. And the two pillows were-

Oh.

OH NO!

Johnny's eyes darted over to his father, who was still reading his book 8 hours later. Jotaro briefly glanced up from the book, smiled, and continued reading.

YOU BASTARD, YOU LET THIS HAPPEN!

Johnny looked around, desperately trying to find a way out of the situation. How do I get out of this? She's still asleep, so she isn't doing this on purpose...the last thing I want to do is wake her up, it would be much more awkward that way.

I'll wait until she wakes up, and pretend that I woke up after her. I'll say that I didn't feel a thing! Yeah! Then I can save her from the embarrassment! It's not like I don't want her to let go of me or anything!

Right?!

Kyoka's chest rose and fell against his back, and Johnny slowly turned his head towards her mirror to see what was happening.

God...she's adorable. Now I really don't want to wake her up.

Then he saw Kyoka's eyelids begin to flutter, and he quickly shut his. He heard a gasp, and the weight on his back was quickly and suddenly removed.

He felt cold.

Kyoka, on the other hand, was now on the other side of the bed with her hand over her mouth, a massive blush adorning her face. OH MY GOD, WHAT WAS I DOING?!

She felt Johnny stir beside her, and put her face in her pillow, refusing to look at him. You just crossed a line Kyoka, you just crossed a line that can never be uncrossed. You cuddled him...I hope he understands that it was an accident, I really-

"You alright Kyoka? You look...embarrassed."

"Just...forgot about yesterday, that's all." Did he not notice? Did I just get lucky?!

Johnny yawned and sat up. "Well, I have to admit your bed is pretty comfy, slept like a log."

Oh thank God! He didn't notice!

"Wouldn't sleep in it if it wasn't...hey, I'm sorry if I was acting weird last night."

Johnny turned to her with a smile. "Hey, I get it. Sleeping in the same bed with a guy is...awkward, to say the least. You know, I was actually afraid that I was making you uncomfortable."

Kyoka frantically shook her head. "No! Not at all! I know you wouldn't have tried anything, I trust you! It's just...you know how I am, I let things get to my head too often. YOU weren't making me feel uncomfortable at all, I was doing it to myself."

Johnny nodded thoughtfully, and then adjusted his pants. "I wish it didn't have to be in our hero costumes though, I think I might be outgrowing these."

Kyoka laughed. "Aww, did you get a wedgie?"

"Shut it, I know where you sleep."

Jotaro got up and closed his book. "Well, I think I'll be on my way. We'll locate that stand user as soon as possible, just hang in there, alright?"

"Okay, thanks Dad."

Kyoka felt a jolt of fear. Jotaro was watching them. I just spooned Johnny in front of his father. His father...who is also my teacher. He saw the whole thing...

I'm dead.

"You okay Kyoka? You look a little pale."

"I-It's fine."

"Okay..."

Johnny and Kyoka sat there a while, not saying anything. With their classmates going through the daily routine, they had the dorms all to themselves.

"So...what do you want to do?" Kyoka asked, finally breaking the ice.

"I have no idea...other than escape from this thing." Johnny lifted his end of The Chain.

Kyoka laughed. "Yeah..."

Kyoka reached over the side of her bed and pulled out her guitar, and began strumming it. Johnny listened to it, taking in the sound, when he suddenly had a thought.

"You know, I don't think I've ever heard you sing."

Kyoka blinked and stopped strumming. "Well...it's not typically something I do for others, you know? I've only ever want in front of my parents."

"I wasn't prodding you into singing for me, I was just making an observation. Still, can't say I'm not curious."

Kyoka looked down, a dozen thoughts rushing through her head. Should I do it? I mean, Johnny has never judged me like other people have. He's already done so much for me...what the hell?

Kyoka picked up her guitar and cleared her throat, and Johnny's eyes widened.

"Y-you don't have to, I don't want to force you or-"

"JoJo...I WANT to...I already know so much about you, what's singing compared to the other stuff we know about each other? Besides...you mean a lot to me."

Kyoka began playing a tune that Johnny recognized immediately, it was Say That You Love Me, by Fleetwood Mac.

"Have mercy baby,

On a poor girl like me,"

BANG!

It was like Valentine shot him in the chest all over again, he was immediately bombarded with the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. As soon as sound came out of Kyoka's mouth, he was dead.

"You know I'm falling falling,

Falling at your feet.

I'm tingling right,

From my head to my toes,

So help me help me,

Help me make the feeling grow."

Kyoka was just about to get to the chorus, her eyes were closed, it was like she was putting her soul into every word. The passion that Johnny felt coming from her was strong, very strong, she truly enjoyed making music.

It was at that moment that Johnny realized that he was in love. Like, truly in love, not a crush, not a slight attraction, but that he genuinely loved her with all of his heart.

"'Cause when the loving starts and the lights go down,

And there's not another living soul around,

You woo me until the sun comes up,

And you say that you love me.

Pity, baby, just,

When I thought it was over,

And now you got me runnin', runnin',

Runnin' for cover.

I'm begging you for, a bit of

Sympathy,

If you use me again,

It'll be the end of me.

'Cause when the lovin' starts and the lights go down,

And there's not another living soul around,

You woo me until the sun comes up,

And you say that you love me.

Baby, baby hope,

You're gonna stay away,

'Cause I'm getting weaker,

Weaker every day.

I guess I'm not as strong,

As I used to be,

If you use me again,

It'll be the end of me.

'Cause when the lovin' starts and the lights go down,

And there's not another living soul around,

You woo me until the sun comes up,

And you say that you love me.

'Cause when the lovin' starts and the lights go down,

And there's not another living soul around,

You woo me until the sun comes up,

And you say that you love me.

Say that you love me,

Say that you love me,

Say that you love me.

Fallin' fallin' fallin',

Fallin' fallin' fallin',

Fallin' fallin' fallin',

Fallin' fallin' fallin'. "

Kyoka opened her eyes, anxious to see Johnny's reaction, only to see him staring at her slackjawed.

"Well?"

"I-I uh...I"

"Did I break you? Do we have to go down to Recovery Girl?"

"I don't deserve you."

Kyoka's eyebrows knit together. Okay, not the reaction I was expecting.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You! You're...amazing!" Johnny continued to stare at her, but Kyoka was something that she really wasn't expecting.

Tears.

She had moved him to tears.

"JoJo, you're my best friend, if you didn't deserve me, I wouldn't be here. If anything, you're more amazing than I am."

"No, I'm really not."

Kyoka's mouth opened, and then closed. She couldn't find the right words to say, so she just let Johnny continue.

"I mean, you can sing, like, you can REALLY sing! You're a fantastic hero, you're funny, smart...I'm only a few of those things."

"I didn't save the world."

"I probably wouldn't have either. I'm...I'm a selfish jerk."

"Where is this coming from? You are-"

"There's something I have to tell you, something that even Gyro doesn't know...when I was trying to get the Corpse Parts away from Valentine...I...secretly wanted them for myself."

Now it was Kyoka's turn to be slackjawed.

"I thought that the Corpse would make me walk again, so I started collecting them to try and take them for myself. I'm a selfish bastard Kyoka, I only stopped thinking about myself when..."

"When?"

Johnny looked up. "When Gyro got cut in half...during our fight with Soundman. When he got hurt...only when somebody got hurt, did I stop and think."

"But you did the right thing, didn't you?"

"Yeah, but...I still thought about it."

"Thinking and doing are two separate things...you thought about taking the Corpse for yourself, but you chose to hand it over to the Speedwagon Foundation. Everyone gets greedy JoJo, being selfless doesn't mean a lack of greed:

Being selfless is doing the right thing in spite of what you want. You wanted your legs back, but if Valentine got that Corpse, we'd be flying the U.S flag right now. You sacrificed your chance to walk again for the world Johnny, if anything that just makes me admire you even more."

Kyoka leaned in so that way her eyes were level with his. "Being selfless, is sacrificing the things we want...for the people we love..."

Their noses were practically touching now, and their eyes were beginning to close. Kyoka's hand found his as she leaned in to close the distance between their lips.

"Kujo."

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Johnny screamed as he fell backwards, The Chain dragging Kyoka with him. "JOJO?!"

The two fell on the floor with Kyoka sitting on his stomach. The both of them realized what position that they were in, and quickly tried to get out of it, but The Chain wrapped around Johnny's ankle, and now it looked like he was pinning her to the floor.

Meanwhile, Funny Valentine was staring at the teenagers wriggling on the floor with a bemused expression. Finally, Johnny and Kyoka managed to separate, and Johnny glared at his nemesis from the floor. "What the hell was that?! That was creepy!"

"Me?" Kyoka looked hurt.

"NO! Valentine!"

Kyoka's eyes widened as she tried to scan the room for him. "Where is he?! I want to beat his ass!"

"Only stand users can see ghosts Kyoka, but you can feel him, right?"

"Yeah, feels cold...like his FUCKING SOUL!" Kyoka was enraged, Johnny noted. She was much more angry than she normally was, was this because Valentine interru-

Wait...were we really about to kiss?! Johnny thought, his sudden realization snapping him out of his own anger. Since when were either of us bold enough to do that? Come to think of it, why did I tell Kyoka about my selfishness? It wasn't a big deal before...

"Valentine, do you know what's going on?"

"Going on?!" Kyoka snarled. "He ruined the fucking moment, that's what's going on! Where is he?!"

"In front of me."

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM!"

Valentine put up his hands in mock surrender. "Oh no, a non-stand user is threatening the wall, what ever will I do?"

"Valentine, you came here to warn us, didn't you?"

"WARN US?! Listen here you ramen-haired piece of shit, I don't want you anywhere near here, not after you tried to kill my friends!"

"The stand that is connecting the two of you, The Chain, amplifies emotions. It takes your hormones and boosts them to an unhealthy level. As long as it is attached to you, you two are unstable."

Johnny blinked. So...that near kiss...it wasn't real. It was just this stupid stand playing with my heart!

Tears began streaming down Johnny's face, and Kyoka looked over at him in shock. "W-what's happening?! JoJo?!"

"This stand..it's messing with our emotions *sniff* we're feeling everything to the extreme!"

Kyoka gasped, and then quickly picked up her sobbing friend. "You're right, I was being pretty aggressive back there...shit."

That means when he was going to kiss me earlier, he wasn't in his right mind. Neither am I...

We need to find that stand user, before I lose it.

Kyoka blinked back tears as she looked around.

"The stand user is nearby...Valentine said he has to be in order for the emotion stuff to work."

"Then we have to find him before we go crazy."

Then she spotted him, he was on her balcony. The same homeless man that they had encountered earlier was staring at them from the balcony window. Kyoka helped Johnny up, and they two of them looked into each other's eyes.

God, I love him. Even if your feelings weren't real Johnny...it was nice when it lasted.

Then they both charged straight at the window, jumping through it and smashing the glass. The old man tried to back up, but he was soon caught.

Johnny and Kyoka sailed right over the edge of the balcony, each holding their respective end of The Chain, while the caught the enemy stand user in the throat.

They were now hanging off the edge of the the building, the enemy's fragile neck being the only thing keeping the two from plummeting to the ground below.

"RELEASE YOUR STAND! UNLESS YOU WANT US TO SNAP YOUR UGLY NECK!" Johnny bellowed. The old man was foaming at the mouth, gasping for air, before he finally snapped his fingers.

Johnny used Hamon to cling to a metal pipe, while Tusk caught Kyoka in it's arms. The old man tried to escape into Kyoka's room, but she landed right in front of him, while Johnny climbed up from behind.

The old man gasped. "This...this can't be happening! You two were supposed to tear each other to bits!"

"Tough luck shithead." Kyoka responded, a glare frozen on her face. "We're stronger than that."

"Yeah, maybe you shouldn't have used your stand on someone who I'm already attached to." Johnny said, slowly approaching the enemy. "Because now...our anger is REAL!"

"Wait, please! I'll do anythi-"

"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!/DORARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARA!"

Kyoka inserted a jack into one of her speakers as she and Johnny readied a final punch.

"ORA!/DORA!"

The old man flew back as a massive sound wave blew apart the entire balcony, landing on the ground below with a crunch.

...

Class 1A was in the middle of a lecture when the entire building began shaking.

"What was that? An earthquake?!" Kaminari exclaimed.

"Look! The Heights Alliance!"

A good portion of the building was blown away right before their eyes, and Momo's eyes widened in terror. "That's Jiro's room!"

"Wasn't JoJo in there with her?!"

Gyro gritted his teeth and lept out of his seat, only to be stopped by Aizawa. "Don't, it's too dangerous."

"My two best friends are in there!"

"Dr. Kujo is on his way as we speak."

Gyro grimaced and sat back down. You two better be okay, or I'll kill you.

...

The two stared down at the twitching hobo below them, and continued to watch until the cops came and took him away.

Finally, Kyoka turned to Johnny. "JoJo?"

"Hm?"

"How much of that was real?" Kyoka asked.

Johnny had a sad look on his face. "I...I don't think we can be sure, we don't want to leap into anything we might regret later."

Kyoka nodded, saddened, but understanding. He's right, his feelings for me were probably just the stand...

Little did she know, but Johnny was thinking the same thing. Then he turned to her with a smile. "There is one thing I know for sure."

"What?"

"You should sing more often, and you really ARE amazing."

Kyoka blinked, and then smiled back. "I'd be happy to...for you."

The two of them stared at the setting sun, confused, but happy with each other's company.

They didn't even notice that Jotaro was standing behind them. The elder Kujo smirked as he looked at them, they didn't even notice the shape of the hole they just made.

The hole in the wall was in the shape of a heart, and they were standing right in the middle of it.

And they were holding hands.

Jotaro shook his head, muttering a quick "Yare yare daze." and left the two to their own devices.

They don't even realize just how much they mean to each other...they may have broken the chain...

But they're still connected, by something much, much stronger.
