Bearticguy7: Snoop doooog! You're right, Iggy probably has tons of illegitimate children out there.
dumpstertrashfire123: Oh dear, Jorge Joestar...not a bad idea though! That novel has always confused me.
Kyeo307: I wanted to add something new to the story, a little change to canon. Yes, it is connected to the urban legends, although some stands are going to be as well.
jkgming: AyAyAyAy! Fugo might be using it soon...
Jpx0999: Santana is still a villain, he's just a compassionate one.
Euphoria: Only one of them will live...also, I love the idea!
Guest: Shinobu...maybe...no. As for telling you, it wouldn't be much of a mystery if I did, would it?
nocringeman: He popping off.
PhantomKnightPercival: I wanted to make Santana a layered villain, he isn't a bad person necessarily, but due to his circumstances he remains enemies with the Joestars. Plus, considering that Todoroki and Weather being similar people, I couldn't resist making that joke!
Syrian Ken: I'm still working on it! I just need to find a way to fit Polaris in! Also, I really tried to make the Santana vs Achilles as unbelievable as possible, so I'm glad it worked!
Guest: Are people sinking for Santana now?
Death Omen Star: I'm really glad you liked it!
Warning: This chapter has a stand user, who is in the title, that is prone to self harm and other tendencies. Obviously, a bad life decision. If you are sensitive to things like this, please feel free to skip.
"Hey JoJo...you wanna go on a-"
Kyoka paused, and Johnny turned around. "Go on a...oh, sorry, forgot to put on a shirt." Johnny stopped talking, noticing that Kyoka wasn't red, or getting a nosebleed, but was instead staring at his back. "What's wrong?"
"Stay still, I need to see something."
Johnny shuddered as Kyoka ran her fingers across a spot on his back. "Why are you touching the spot where Johngalli A. shot me?"
"Did you know you have a scar?"
Johnny blinked. "I do?"
"Yeah...it's faint...but..." Kyoka stopped talking, and just rubbed Johnny's back.
"I never noticed, I guess I never bothered looking at it."
"I hate being reminded of that day." Kyoka said quietly. "Especially now..."
"Well it certainly wasn't a cakewalk for me either." Johnny responded.
"I never said it was...but...my best friend was shot. Do you know what I did, when Iida said you were in the hospital? I ran all the way there." Kyoka said, her voice shaky. "Even back then...when I wasn't fully aware of how I actually felt for you...it hurt, JoJo."
"It was just a scary day for everyone." Johnny said, and turned around.
Kyoka's eyes widened, and next thing Johnny knew, she was feeling him up. "Uhhh, Kyoka?"
"You have scars all over the place..." Kyoka said, biting her lip, before putting her hand to a few faint lines on his chest. "Are these from...?"
"Valentine."
Kyoka turned away. "I always knew you went through a lot...but I can see it."
"I thought girls liked scars."
"Not when they know where they came from, not when they've seen some of them made." Kyoka said. "JoJo...you've been through so much..."
"That's why we're on vacation, right?"
"I KNOW!" Kyoka whipped around. "But...I...I still get sad about it sometimes! I just...I just can't help it, I'm sorry."
"Kyoka, that's just the reality of our situation." Johnny took her hand, and pulled up her sleeve, revealing the scars left from her fight with Susan. "I feel the same way when I look at these..."
Kyoka nodded. "I know...I guess we both have scars, inside and out. It's just sad, I guess, that we can never be normal teenagers like we once were. Seeing these..." Kyoka pointed at the scars from Valentine. "They remind me of when you got hurt...and thinking about things like that still hurts."
"I mean, you can only notice them when you get in close, they aren't all that noticable...but I get it." Johnny pulled Kyoka in for a hug, which she returned. "But...these scars are also a reminder of our accomplishments. Of course I'm reminded of how fucked up you were after your fight with Cummings, but those scars on your arm are also a reminder of how you saved me from her."
"I guess...I'm proud, now that I look at them." Kyoka said, wiping away a tear and smiling. "My boyfriend went through hell to save the world, and...no, I'm definitely proud."
"See? They aren't always a bad thing." Johnny said with a smile, and suddenly Kyoka's heart skipped a beat.
"Whoa..."
"What?"
"I forgot how amazing your smile was, you don't do it as often as you should. That was like a...Izuku smile, you just smiled like Izuku."
"Really?"
"Yeah...I like seeing your cheerful side, you're usually so depressing." Kyoka said with a grin, taking Johnny's arms and leaning in. Kyoka then turned bright red, and began stammering.
"It just hit you that you were feeling up my pecs, right?"
Kyoka shakily nodded.
"We've been dating for how long, and you're still getting embarrassed?"
"It-it's different! I-I..." Kyoka took a deep breath, calming herself down. "Sometimes, it's hard to believe that I have someone like you. I can't believe I got so lucky..."
"Luck? I think you're cursed."
Kyoka lightly punched Johnny in the chest. "I'm lucky!"
"Okay, okay, I know better than to argue with you."
"Put a shirt on, we're going sightseeing." Kyoka threw a random shirt with a star on the front of it in Johnny's face. "Mr. Giorno is taking us to see the Colosseum."
"Alright." Johnny pulled the shirt over his head, and when he popped his head out of the shirt, Kyoka was gone...
Along with one of his hoodies.
"You dirty thief..."
Uraraka looked around in disbelief, as the entire common room was covered in security cameras, wires, photographs connected with red string, and Todoroki, sitting in the middle of all of it wearing a camouflage suit and holding a pair of binoculars.
"Uh...Todoroki...what are you doing?"
"I'm performing a stakeout."
"Why?"
"That information is classified."
"Uh...should...I be worried?" Uraraka was confused, to say the least.
"No."
Uraraka looked around. "I'm so confused."
"I am only doing my sworn duty as a hero. You can help me if you want."
Uraraka silently sat next to Todoroki, becoming even more confused as Anasui came in wearing all black, as if it would cover up his bright pink hair. "I see you have a new recruit."
"Aren't you JoJo's future brother-in-law?"
Anasui blushed. "That's right! Jolyne is my beautiful fiance! I'm the luckiest man in the who-"
"Shh...a blonde man just entered the premises." Todoroki said, looking out the window. "He appears to be dressed in janitorial clothes."
"Don't you think that means he might be...a janitor?" Uraraka asked.
"Anyone could be the enemy, Kirby!" Anasui pressed his face against the window. "That guy does look familiar though..."
"Enemy? What enemy?!"
"A stand user."
"Anyone specific?"
"No."
Uraraka looked out the window, watching as a blonde man in a janitor's outfit made his way into the dorms building, a somber look on his face. "I just don't understand why this is all necessary."
Todoroki eyed Anasui. "I trust Uraraka, should we brief her on the situation?"
Anasui turned around, looking Uraraka up and down. "You know what? Kirby is my main in Super Smash Bros, why not"
Is that really the reason they're telling me?!
"So...the Colosseum..." Giorno said. "Believe it or not, this building has been in Joestar family history twice."
"Twice?!"
"What?" The former villain yelled from the back.
"No, not you!" Diego said, grabbing his friend's shoulder.
"Yes...this is where they found the Pillar Men, minus Santana. After that, we had our final confrontation with Diavolo in the streets surrounding it." Giorno pointed at the brick road. "That spot...right there, is where I activated GER for the first time."
"So this is where Uncle Polnareff had his transition from man to turtle, huh?" Johnny said with a smile.
"This is also where we had to kill his stand, Silver Chariot was out of control."
"Huh...interesting..."
Diego elbowed Kyoka. "Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"When you were using Pluck down there in those caves...how did you get the Hamon in Pluck to work?" Diego asked. "Jonathan...isn't really coming out for me."
Kyoka frowned. "Well...it was in the middle of the fight...she asked me why I wanted to be a hero, and I gave her an honest answer, I want to make people smile. Maybe...you need to connect with it like I did? Doing something heroic?"
Diego nodded. "I'll take that into account."
"So Diavolo died right here? In this very spot?" Gyro asked, stepping where he was talking about.
"No, that's where GER beat him up, he died in the sewers over there." Giorno pointed. "Although, he's actually still dying, I wonder how many deaths he has gone through?"
"That's a little too morbid for my tastes." Momo muttered.
"If you think that's morbid, you should see what Diego did to D'arby!" Twice stated. "It's really gross!"
"Why are you bringing that up Jin?" Diego asked.
"Because he's still in the toilet! I'm tired of going downstairs to take a shit, please fix it!"
"I remember you saying something about a gambler in your toilet during the Yakuza Raid...you FLUSHED D'ARBY?!" Johnny asked. "Like, the gambler my dad squared off with in Egypt?!"
"It is an easy way to dispose of a body when your girlfriend can melt people!" Diego said, crossing his arms. "Besides, aren't you supposed to flush shit down the toilet?"
"Yare yare daze...I assume you're hunting down the other agents of DIO too?"
"Yes...actually. If I take out my father's top agents...I'm one step closer to him."
"I see...well, I know one of them is still in Japan."
Diego looked interested, and Twice poked his head out beside him. "Really?...Who, may I ask?"
"Alessi."
Diego and Twice shared a look, and Twice nodded. "Is he still being a wanker that preys on children?"
"Well, yes...but we've already fucked him up twice."
"Let me know if you need to do it a third time...I just might have to join in."
"Will do. That bastard gave me nightmares."
Kyoka turned around with a glare. "Bitch please, if I could've killed him, I would've done it already. Diego...if you have an opportunity to take that fucker out, we're helping you."
"Of course."
Uraraka sat on the couch, going over what she was just told.
Deku...he was acting strange before break, it really did sound like he was saying goodbye...and it was because he was going too fight this Necromancer guy... Urarakaput her head in her hands. He was saying goodbye, he wasn't sure if he would've survived.
Uraraka thought back to other moments during the year, the dorms exploding when Johnny and Kyoka were attached to each other, Kyoka knowing a bit more about the situation than she let on during their adventure in the caves...
That incident...where she caught her friend bleeding in her room on the day the dorms were ransacked...that was real, wasn't it?
Something is going on with that group, and...I'm scared for them. I understand why they would want to hide it, but...
The thoughts of her best friend/crush saying goodbye to her without her ever realizing made her shudder. He could've died over break, and I would've had no idea. They all could've died...
When they get back from that Italy trip, I'm gonna be a part of whatever this is! I'll risk my life alongside them!
I'll start by helping them protect this eye!
Uraraka bumped into someone, knocking her out of her train of thought. "Oof! I'm sorry!"
"No...it's my fault..." Uraraka looked up to see the somber blonde man that walked into the dorms earlier, he had a pitiful expression on his face. "I can't even walk right without making someone uncomfortable..."
"Oh no, it was all me, I wasn't looking where I was going, that's all." Uraraka reassured the man, who wasn't having it.
"This was a bad idea...coming here...I can't even go undercover right! I SHOULD JUST DIE!"
The man jumped straight out of the window, shocking Uraraka. "WAIT, NO!"
She jumped straight after him, touching him in midair and preventing him from falling to his death, and then noticed she was bleeding...
My wounds are...the same as his? Maybe the glass cut me too on the way out?
Both Uraraka and the man touched down, and Uraraka ignored her wounds and went to check on him. "What was that about? Why would you do that?"
"I'm pathetic! A loser that nobody loves, I deserve it!" The man sobbed. "I even got my stand back, and I can't use it right!"
So...he really was a stand user...
"Listen...life is full of problems, but something like that is never the answer." Uraraka reached out to touch the man's back as he sobbed, comforting him. "I know it hurts, but things will always get better eventually!"
"Thank you...you're so kind." The man stood up, sniffling. "I'm sorry I made you worry about me...I'll try to be better."
"It's okay." Uraraka turned around. "It's my job to save people...it's just something I have to do, something I feel compelled to do...just be sure to think before y-"
The man was now trying to hang himself from a tree.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Uraraka panicked, rushing over to stop him, when her throat suddenly closed up. She floated in midair, kicking out, as she began to take notice of the propellers coming out from her neck.
HIS STAND!
Uraraka gasped for air, desperately trying to find a way out of the situation, before remembering she had recently gotten grappling hooks attached to her gauntlets.
She had the idea from watching Kyoka, who zipped around the training grounds with her new gear, and she didn't even have zero gravity like Uraraka did. Uraraka thought it was such a good idea that she implemented them herself.
She quickly pressed the button on her gauntlet, and managed to free the man, and subsequently herself. Thank you for the idea, Jiro! I knew I picked good role models!
Uraraka ran over to the man and put his arms behind his back. "I'm sorry, but you can't be trusted, especially with that stand of yours! I'm bringing you in!"
"No! I need to get that eye!" The man turned around. "That was the deal I made, get the eye or die trying!"
"And bring people with you?!"
"I really am pathetic, aren't I?" Thunder McQueen sobbed out. "But I won't fail at this! This is my chance to do something without screwing it up!"
Thunder McQueen punched himself in the face, also affecting Uraraka, who stumbled back. "I'M NOT GOING TO FAIL THIS TIME!"
McQueen charged back into the building, with a bruised Uraraka following close behind. If he gets hurt, I will too! He's unstable, so he'll do something dangerous if I mess up!
I need to capture him, and quickly!
Todoroki paused as his phone rang. "Hello?"
"Todoroki! You guys were right, the guy is an enemy! He's already got me under his stands ability!"
Todoroki sat up. "What is it?!"
"When he gets hurt, I get hurt. He's...he's willing to hurt himself, all to get the eye! I'm his hostage!"
"Well there goes my plan of burning him, alright Uraraka, give me your location!"
"We're heading towards the gymnasium! He's serious Todoroki..."
"You'll be fine, we won't let anything happen to you. Stay calm, don't provoke him" Todoroki said, getting up. "We'll intercept him at the gymnasium, meet us there."
"O-okay."
"Damn...not even ten minutes of being in the loop, and Uraraka's already been attacked." Todoroki muttered to himself.
"AGGGGH!" Uraraka grimaced as a jolt of electricity pulsed through her body. "What is he doing?!"
She chased him all the way to the gymnasium, and watched as the enemy stand user burst into the gym, where Ermes Costello suddenly tackled him to the ground.
The two of them struggled for a moment, before Ermes gasped. "You..."
McQueen gasped as well. "Ermes Costello..."
"Do you two know each other?" Todoroki asked, and Eremes nodded, putting more pressure onto McQueen to keep him still.
"He was the first stand user I ever faced...this fucker is the type to drag everyone down with him." Ermes looked towards Uraraka. "I'm sorry, I know how it feels, you must've been pretty scared."
"It really is you!" Thunder McQueen said from the floor, smiling. "Oh, how I missed your angelic face!"
"SHUT UP!" Ermes barked. "I tried to help you, but you're nothing but a scumbag! Remove your ability from this girl, NOW!"
"I...would...but, I need that eye, Ermes." McQueen looked Armed from the eye from the ground. "I have the opportunity to do something right for a change-"
"Right?! You think endangering a teenaged girl for your own gain is right?! If she wasn't under your ability right now, I'd kill you right here, right now!"
"Well, since our last encounter...I've gained a bit of backbone." McQueen said, crying his eyes out.
"How so?"
"You see, I had a plan. The Alpha, my boss, gave me a cyanide pill to use in case of emergencies. It's already in my mouth, see?" Thunder McQueen showed a small green pill on his tongue, and stuck it back inside. "All I have too do is bite down, and she's a goner..."
Uraraka felt her heart skip a beat. I could die at any moment...
"You FUCKING COWARD!" Ermes screamed.
Todoroki was looking between McQueen and Uraraka, and for the first time since she started going to UA, he looked scared.
"Give him what he wants, then."
The group turned to see Anasui walking towards them, holding the silver casing that held the eye with a glare on his face.
"Anasui, are you insane?!"
"He's threatening this girl's life for it, is it really worth trading it?" Anasui countered. "I say, we just give him what he wants."
"I agree with Anasui." The group turned to see Jolyne in the doorway of the gymnasium, casually leaning against the frame. "It's not worth Uraraka's life."
Ermes was about to protest, but saw a certain look in Anasui's eyes. Slowly, she let McQueen go.
McQueen got up, and Anasui opened the lid on the casing, revealing the glowing eye. "Come on...reach in and take it."
Uraraka understood. You can't touch it without silver, or at the very least gloves! McQueen's stand only works when he is harmed physically...
But...is it really right to mentally damage him?
"I appreciate that you guys are so kind to me." Thunder McQueen reached inside the casing, and pulled out the Necromancer's Eye, and it floated in his palm, almost peacefully. "Letting me have this...I finally succeeded at something! I finally-"
POP!
A disc clattered to the floor.
Thunder McQueen's eyes were as wide as saucers, and he stood there, looking absolutely traumatized, the cyanide pill falling out of his mouth.
"Ha..."
"Ha?"
"Hee hee...heeheheheeheeheeheehheheeehehHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAA!" McQueen began cackling as red energy pulsed around him, and the group took a step back.
He was growing horns.
"HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAAAAAAAA!" Thunder McQueen fell to his knees as his eyes turned pitch black. "I see now...whoever uses the unchecked power...heheheheee...starts to think like...HIM! No...hell, I AM THE NECRO-"
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!" Stone Free pummeled McQueen until he dropped the eye, and he fell back, reduced to a bloody, but still human, wreck.
"Was he turning into the Necromancer just now?" Todoroki asked, his eyes wide.
"Not exactly...his mind was warped, without the silver to keep it's power in check...it basically altered his mind to think like it's previous user." Jolyne said, sweating. "I understand what the Necromancer was saying...about the possibility of him coming back. The original is dead...but...they can create a new one."
"And the reason why Midoriya has a better chance of wielding it, it's because he and the Necromancer had similar pasts, thus it doesn't need to alter him as much." Todoroki said, scratching his chin. "He's naturally resistant to it."
"Similar pasts?!" Uraraka said, shocked.
"The Necromancer was quirkless, Midoriya was a late bloomer that thought he was quirkless...they basically came from the same place, although Midoriya obviously could never be like that guy..."
"Does anyone have gloves?" Ermes asked. "We need to get this thing back in containment."
Jolyne walked over to Uraraka and put her hands on her shoulders. "I am...so...sorry. You didn't deserve any of this, you must've been scared."
"It's okay...I want to help!" Uraraka said with a smile.
"You almost died, you just saw someone transforming into a demon, and you're smiling?" Jolyne asked. "No wonder you and Midoriya are best friends...sheesh. Well, I suppose...considering we're a team of convicts and a guy with daddy issues...we could use someone who can brighten things up."
"A really good friend of mine once told me that she didn't value me for my quirk, but for my heart. That I could light up a room...so that's what I'm gonna do!" Uraraka said. "I'll be that person for you guys!"
Jolyne looked to her friends, who all didn't seem to have any problems. "Alright Uraraka, welcome aboard!"
"Why are you holding the eye like a donut?!" Ermes yelled. "Did you see what it just did?!"
Anasui, who was wearing rubber gloves, mimed putting it in his mouth, and Jolyne ran up and smacked him upside the head. "NARCISSO!"
"OW, I'M JOKING!"
"I regret to inform you, Alpha, that Thunder McQueen has failed. He was unaware that you couldn't touch the eye without protection, and the group defending it used it to their advantage." Big Momma said, putting her hands on her hips.
"Which means said group is aware of our true goals." The Alpha muttered. "I will be the next Necromancer, whether they like it or not."
"How so? One of the other League members could get it."
"True, but they will only care about the power aspect to it, rather than the Necromancer's true goals. Plus, most of our number are brain dead idiots." The Alpha explained. "I am the only member of our organization that has the brain power sufficient enough to become him."
"You and your ego...I suppose you and the Necromancer had that in common."
The Alpha ran a hand along the keyboard. "Years ago, a Joestar beat me at my own game...humiliated me, and murdered the man I looked up to on top of it. I have never forgiven him for it...so I'll surpass him. I shall resurrect my idol, and destroy the Joestar family!"
"What about our alliance with Tomura Shigaraki? We broke away from Santana, are we gonna break away from them too?"
"No. Shigaraki doesn't know we are associated with the Necromancer, that he was our founder. I think we should use him to our advantage...that was the one thing I criticized the Necromancer for, he was only loyal to Valentine."
"And look how that turned out."
"Precisely. We will not betray Tomura Shigaraki...after all..."
The Alpha turned to the man sitting in a corner. "You'd have to tell him, isn't that right, Nine?"
Nine adjusted his mask, and nodded. "I owe the doctor my quirks, it would be the least I could do. However...I won't mention that the Necromancer was your founder." Nine bowed in respect, and the Alpha nodded.
"We are on the same side...so...this new group, headed by Jolyne Kujo...they've picked up the slack from the original targets, have they? They wish to toy with me, play games? Good. I'm quite good at games..."
"You know...I think I actually like it here." Bakugo said.
"Really? I thought you didn't like anything." Kyoka said with a smirk.
"Shut up Ears. It's my first time visiting another country too, you know."
"I have to admit, authentic Italian food is better than the out of country stuff." Kyoka said with a smile. "I can see why Gyro is so fond of his home, it really is an amazing place. You do seem a bit calmer though, any reason in particular?"
Bakugo seemed to think for a while, before sighing. "If I say something...will you keep quiet about it?"
"If it's something you're uncomfortable about, then sure."
"I...I'm...not angry, that I was invited...if you get what I mean."
"I think I do...you're really trying to repair your friendships with Johnny and Izuku, aren't you? You're actually making an effort."
"Please, I couldn't give two shits about them." Bakugo said, a slight blush on his face.
Kyoka laughed. "You know...I'm glad I've gotten to understand you a little bit more. Back before you joined the One For All train, the only impression I had of you was the angry bullying asshole that didn't deserve to be anywhere near my friends...and to an extent you were...but...you seem to want to genuinely fix your mistakes, and I think the others are starting to notice that."
Bakugo remained silent, but it was a good silence. Probably because his pride wouldn't allow him to say how much he appreciated that Kyoka was making an effort to get to know him.
"Well...I better get going, I want to take some pictures of the rock the Pillar Men came out of, Momo wanted to put together a scrapbook of sorts, to 'create something we can look back on someday.'"
"A scrapbook?"
"Yeah...you know how Batman has a whole trophy room in the Batcave? I think that's what she's going for." Kyoka said, smirking. "Still, something like that would be kind of nice..."
Bakugo turned to see Kyoka looking at the scars on her arm. "Why's that?"
"To remember what we've accomplished...see you Ferret."
"Bitch."
They both let out a chuckle, and Kyoka went back to the rest of the group, joining hands with Johnny. Bakugo stared at the setting sun.
To remember what we've accomplished...huh?
I don't have anything like that yet.
