An overwhelming silence ruled the room thus sentencing the inevitable outcome... warm tears began to run down his cheeks, he could still feel the warmth of his lifeless hand contrasting with the cold room, the silence was abruptly interrupted by sobs of the young apprentice hero, those cries squeezed his heart, he had never felt so helpless as at that moment, the only thing he could do was apologize for disappearing, for ignoring his friend who only cared about his health and happiness. Although his apology was accepted, that did not lighten his conscience... If only he still had his strength, that would never have happened. But ¿What's "IF"? Just a fantastic word for non-existent suppositions.

_Farewell my friend, my partner, I am sorry for abandon you all these years... for not having been able to be of any help. _

Nighteye's body lay limp on the stretcher surrounded by those closest to him who were stunned by the sharp sound of the vital signs monitor, affirming what everyone already knew... Nighteye's life was gone...

After a few minutes the doors room was opened by a doctor and nurses who asked the heroes to leave.

—Time of death: 4:28 —Said the doctor as the nurses removed all the devices attached to his organs.

All Might stood outside the hospital resting on a bench turning to the sky with his clouded eyes lost in his own thoughts.

How many losses would he have to witness? His students no longer need him, he can do nothing to help others, without his strength he is nothing more than an ordinary citizen, maybe even more fragile than normal. He's just a nuisance or he'll end up being one soon.

Yagi rested his face on his hands while his mind created a series of ideas that slowly turned into a vicious circle of negative thoughts always returning to the base idea...

_In this world of heroes there is no place for me anymore_ It was time to accept the facts, his reality. No strength, no quirk... remembering what he said that occasion to his now heir of power and will…

_A PRO HERO IS ALWAYS LAYING HIS OR HER LIFE ON THE LINE. SO, I JUST CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO TELL YOU, YOU CAN DO IT EVEN WITHOUT A QUIRK. _ The growth of that boy was thanks to being given a quirk and his perseverance... but, what is perseverance without a quirk?

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice in his head —"The dependence on *Quirks* gives people a limit... Thus, creating weak beings" —Those words echoed louder and louder until they completely overshadowed his negativity... Where and who mentioned that phrase that he couldn't get out of his thoughts?

_Does focusing on Quirks prevent us from discovering our true potential? _

_Who are you? _All Might asked himself as the gleam in his eyes reappeared.

The days went by and the overwhelming gloom aura that had settled over the UA students dissipated. To regain a bit of pep, the kids were planning ideas for the school festival. Hardly had such an activity been announced and the dorms looked like war fields with the brainstorming. The ideas got so intense that what started out as an exchange of opinions was turning into a discussion.

—Pop quiz! —Exclaimed Iida with no support from anyone else.

—A festival should be fun not stressful! —Complained the boys.

—You know what would lower our stress a lot and raise our spirits a lot? —Mineta said with a perverted look on his face.

—I like where this is going. —Kaminari said giving his stamp of approval anticipating what the grape head would say.

—A BSDM themed maid cafe... —Suggested the perverted boy who got hit with Jirou's earlobes as she glared at him with distaste.

—Not a bad idea, Sato's desserts are unbelievably good. —Kaminari was still defending the maid cafe but soon ended up getting stung by the young Earphone jack's quirk.

—A chess tournament. —Momo proposed, being ignored by the discussion that had just started.

—You won't make us wear miniskirts again! —Complained the girls with the exception of Hagakure.

—Toru-chan, don't you have a problem with that? —Tsuyu asked.

While Mineta could be heard complaining on the background along with Kaminari; Iida cheered Momo's idea, Izuku kept babbling only to be told by Ochako to organize his ideas before sharing them. Koda didn't have the voice to express himself as the pair of perverts were hogging all the attention with their bickering.

—It's not fair If you don't wear underwear, we won't be able to see your b… —Mineta suddenly stopped as both, Kaminari and him were nose bleeding as he phrased that complaint.

The discussion was abruptly interrupted by an explosion that echoed throughout the room.

—COULD YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! —Shouted the ashen-haired young man who had had enough of hearing their discussion. The young man was tired since he had just returned from the course to get his provisional license.

—Thank you, Kaminari was already way too excited —Said Mineta with a black eye caused by another stung from Jiro.

EEEHHH? WHO SAID I WANTED TO HELP YOU? JUST MAKE A FIGHTING RING AND LET'S GET THIS OVER WITH —He kept shouting to the tousle-haired boy, since his patience had come to an end.

—UUUHHHOOOO THAT SOUNDS SO MANLY! —Shouted Kirishima approving Bakugo's idea.

Everyone was interrupted when the entrance door opened. An irritated professor with tousled hair and a defiant look calmed everyone in the blink of an eye.

—How many times have we told you not to use your powers inside the dorms? —He expressed irritably as his scarf that usually surrounded his neck, was now incapacitating the explosive young man who instead of apologizing tried to scream and untangle himself, but the hero wouldn't let him.

—Anyway, we're going on a school trip so get your stuff and let's go. —Aizawa said as he loosened the scarf which calmed the explosive beast down.

—Normal school activities. —Expressed the youngsters in unison.

—Aizawa-sensei. What's with the suddenness of this plan? —Asked the young red-haired student.

—It was All Might's idea. Actually, he wanted to go by himself but Nezu proposed that it wouldn't be bad if you all went too. —Replied the teacher with a tired expression.

—Get your things ready and carry your water while I go get Eri.

All Might was on the bus engrossed in thought resting along with Present Mic waiting for the students, while the Voice Hero was still as outrageous as ever commenting to his hero partner about the motorcycle he recently bought that matches his suit jacket, but the tousle-haired blond wasn't paying attention to him, his gaze was focused on a blue gem he carried on his key ring… But anyone could tell, he didn't gave any importance to this jewel either.

—OI ALL MIGHT, DON'T LEAVE ME TALKING TO MYSELF, WHAT'S GOT YOU SO PENSIVE?

All Might was still not paying attention to him no matter how much he repeated his name... Present Mic left him alone, he hadn't been himself for days. No matter how much support the school gave him, they couldn't get any close to him. The hero was lost, maybe so much support was suffocating him... Now that he thought about it, more than a companion he felt like a bodyguard. Could that be what was bothering him?

—Present Mic... Do you think there is potential beyond quirks? —The blond asked this time looking at him as he put away his keys.

Present Mic understood that not being able to make use of his quirk really overwhelmed him.

—Before quirks we humans accomplished so many things... Even now, there are people who lack quirks and they never cease to amaze us.

The students began to board the school bus interrupting the teacher's conversation, but still, All Might didn't look away from his companion, it wasn't the answer he was looking for, but he thanked him with a forced smile anyway.

MUSEUM METROPOLITAN MUSUTAFU

Eraserhead was in charge, as he was the one the students respected the most, and so they obeyed without question. Half of the students were enthusiastic while the other half wore a lazy expression.

An energetic young girl with emerald hair and cinnamon skin tone pleasantly greeted them with a smile.

—Hello my young and professional heroes, it is an honor to have you with us. My name is Emily and I will be your guide during the tour, first I must inform you that there are three different tours. The first one consists on exploring the past of mankind and its transcendence. The second one is about machines and technology: Their creation and evolution until today, plus what is coming in the future… And the third one is about how the ecosystem has changed due to our advances, species of animals and plants that we have lost and their importance. —During the whole explanation the girl did non-stop movements with her hands, everyone could tell she communicated with her voice and body.

The students started another riot among themselves for the selection of the tour, but they were interrupted by their head teacher somewhat pissed off by so much fuss.

—Since this was All Might idea, he will choose which one will be the guided tour. —Expressed the tired looking teacher.

THANK YOU AIZAWA-KUN I REALLY APPRECIATE IT; I HAD ALREADY THOUGHT OF TAKING THE FIRST ONE.

The black-haired young man looked at him from the corner of his eye, slightly sighed and agreed _Knowing life before quirks will help you know which course to take, huh... All Might?

Okay guys, I think it's obvious but during the guided tour we keep our little hands at our sides and don't touch anything. okay? Well... You can touch each other?... NO! THAT SOUNDS SO BAD OUT OF CONTEXT! I'm terribly sorry teachers I'm new... Or should I say heroes? I'M SO CONFUSED!... DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING! with all due respect, not even each other! —Emily was on crisis making all crazy movements with her hands, as if she was locked inside an invisible box.

—Would her quirk be mime-like? —The class wondered as a droplet ran down the back of their heads.

Follow me this way, let's start with: Before humanity as we know it, the...

—Cavemen! —Shouted Sero.

—No young man those would be the Neanderthals, here we have from the beginnings of these species that are basically upright primates: the hominids that can be categorized... —The girl was still being ignored by several students

Kaminari started to hit Mineta with his elbow

—Hey, don't get excited about that girl. —The blond said as he pointed to an ape-like silhouette near one of the exhibits.

—Hey I'm not that sick!... Although hooters are hooters. —He answered lowering his voice.

—Hey! More respect! —Exclaimed a beast girl who was looking at that exhibit.

—Emily chan! A caveman escaped from the exhibit —Sero commented quietly to the guide.

—That it's not caveman it's a homini... Ah sorry Miss. —She bowed apologetic towards a hairy woman.

—IS SHE A HUMAN? —Wondered the pair of idiots as they watched her retreat in annoyance.

—Rude.

The tour was slowly changing areas and the boys were losing interest.

—This is stupid, how is this going to help us be better heroes? —Muttered the explosive young one in annoyance.

—Hey kachan, let's try to enjoy this, it's something the school does with good intentions, besides… Learning something new never hurts. —Said Deku as he placed his hands in front of him preparing for the rain of saliva or either a violent reaction from his partner.

Before the young man exploded in front of him, a serious and focused boy interrupted them.

—This time I agree with Bakugo. —Todoroki joined the conversation.

—Hey idiot, just because we're taking a course together doesn't automatically make us friends! —Bakugo complained loudly with unpleasant grimaces.

—Stop it guys, Eri Chan is really enjoying it, just look at her adorable face. —Ochako said in a cheerful voice, trying to calm down the interaction of the class Top 3.

_She looks confused Tho_ Thought the 3 boys.

—Excuse me, so I was a monkey? —Asked Eri holding Aizawa's hand

Aizawa came down to the little girl's level and rested his hand on her head.

—No, but you almost get the idea —Eri continued with a blank face at Aizawa's comment.

Hagakure approached along with Aoyama to the boys with a suspicious attitude.

—Guys... Sero, Mina, Tsuyu, Kaminari, Mineta, Tokoyami and I are planning to stay part from the group, we doubt this will get interesting later on.

—These are things we learn in elementary education, it's fine for children's excursion but not for us. —Told Sero.

—This is not cute at all. —Complained Mina.

—It dulls my glow. —Aoyama continued complaining.

—Tsuyu you too?

—I'm sorry Ochako Chan, but I'd be more interested in seeing the evolution of technology, Kero.

—Come on guys, if All Might want to share this experience with us, it's because this will leave us with some lesson at the end. —Midoriya tried to persuade his companions.

Stop your shitty fanboy attitudes for a moment and open your eyes! What good is this going to do, you damn nerd? —The explosive boy complained loudly.

—Tokoyami, I didn't imagine it coming from you. —Todoroki commented a bit surprised.

—Emily told me that at the end of the exhibition there is a hallway full of weapons, I just want to skip the boring part.

Their plans were interrupted by a presence behind them.

—Are you planning to abandon the tour? —Iida complained loudly, waving his hands in a Ken doll position.

—KYA! Iida Kun! Not so loud, the teachers will hear you! —Shouted Mina while making silent signals with her fingers.

—YEOH! It seems some of you are plotting to escape? You little troublemakers! —Present Mic shouted placing his hands on his waist, managing a voice volume as if he was wearing a loudspeaker as he heard the pink-haired girl complaint.

—BE QUIET AND REJOIN THE GROUP PLEASE! ... AH! MR. PRESENT MIC, I'M SORRY I RAISED MY VOICE, I HOPE I DIDN'T DISRESPECT YOU... —Emily said with regret until she was interrupted by a hand that rested on her shoulder.

—Don't worry miss, here we are just visitors who have to comply with the rules of your institution, there is no need to worry about hierarchies. —All Might answered serenely with a slight smile while trying to calm down the young lady.

—Well then, let's start the fourth room. Ancient civilizations: although civilizations were thousands of miles away from each other, there are always similarities, especially when it comes to gods and afterlife... —Emily continued with her speech while introducing some of the stones carved with hieroglyphics, explaining their categories: ideograms and phonograms, plus a little history of their civilizations, when she was interrupted by a certain blond hero who was previously standing in silence observing two large carved cubes without technical data, one of them was dark blue and the other red.

Miss Emily, would you be so kind to explain this message and its civilization, —All Might asked seriously without looking away from the pair of stones.

—I am not really qualified to give information about this. Well... No one in the museum and I dare to believe that in general in the others either. We just have it on display as a representation of history that has not been yet able to be passed on to the next generations... I have not heard of its translation or origin... We have the honor of having the only piece of a different color because they are mostly blue. —Explained the guide in a sorrowful manner.

—So, no one has been able to decipher its message or writing? —Momo asked.

—The only thing we know is that their origin dates back thousands of years, their material is unbreakable and that the message that several of the blue ones have is the same, at least 7 of them have been located around the world with the same phonograms. —Clarified the Guide.

—Phonograms, meaning that their writing is merely phonetic? —Continued Iida.

—That's right! Gosh, someone was really paying attention! —She said cheerful almost teary in joy.

—If they were ideograms, they would have been easier to decipher, but not knowing where they originate from, it doesn't help us to have a cultural reference of how to start deciphering it. —She said in a discouraged way.

Everyone remained silent until the silence was interrupted by an almost whisper...

—... Pony... grif... Pon... Ponigrif... —Mentioned All Might to himself while he saw that the blue piece had a perfectly carved circle at the end of all the writing.

—Excuse me... What did you just say? —The girl could hear the blond whisper

—UH... NOTHING, JUST A VAGUE RECOLLECTION. —He clarified nervously.

—Poneglyph? —Said the girl changing to a serious and confused expression...

—PONEGLYPH! It's not the first time I've heard of it... Could you enlighten us more with information Mr. All Might Sir! —Emily asked in a kind and at the same time excited way.

—What, no... it would be misinforming the students... it's just a hunch... a deja-vu. I wanted to corroborate if my version fits with yours since I didn't find any information on internet, maybe I didn't know how to search... but it seems that your version, any other... doesn't really exist. —His voice lowered, showing his despondency.

—Please Mr. All Might, let me hear your version. —The girl pouted at him.

_Not the puppy eyes_ Thought the male students.

—Please All Might! —The girls joined along Aoyama with the puppy-eyed entourage. While in the background you could see the boys with stars in their eyes supporting the notion.

—Ehm... Okay. —All Might was speechless at the reaction letting a drop fell of his hair in confusion.

—I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE READING, BUT I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO DECIPHER IT. —His voice was loud and clear as he approached the Poneglyph placing his hand on top of it, reacting instinctively removing his hand instantly as soon as he touched it.

—Don't worry, I'll let this rule pass this time. —Commented the guide causing relief in the hero.

—THE READING, AND LISTENING TO ITS "VOICE"

—Vo…Voi… Voice? Are they able to talk? —Asked the shy young man capable of talking to animals.

—NOT REALLY TALK, FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THEIR MESSAGE IS CARVED TO GENERATE A VIBRATION... —As he mentioned this, All Might began to run his fingers inside the carved letters.

—THIS INTERNAL TEXTURE... SHOULD GENERATE A MELODY OR A SERIES OF SOUNDS THAT EXPRESS THE MESSAGE… THEY DO NOT GENERATE WORDS AS IN ANY LANGUAGE, BUT RATHER IT IS LIKE A SOUND WAVE THAT IS ACTUALLY INTERPRETED.

—Wooow All Might sensei, for a single hunch it's pretty specific. —Said Kirishima enthusiastically, holding his arms up in the air in a firm way.

—Where did you get that information from? —Asked Aizawa.

The hero clenched his fists then relaxed his hands to then rest one of his palms on his chest, feeling his heart racing.

—For a long time, I have doubted whether it was a dream or a memory, it is so unreal that I still can't conceive that it was actually an experience, I wanted to come here to clarify that idea... but... Being the only one who has that information or theory, just rectify that it was really just a dream. — He said disappointed.

—Mr. All Might, I think I can help you decipher your conundrum... this is against the rules and possibly gets me fired, but... I think it's the most interesting thing I'm going to experience in this job! A discovery that no one has ever made! —Said the girl sharpening her voice with every word that came out of her mouth showing the excitement that was impossible for her to contain.

—She's new to the job and she's already taking it for granted that it's boring. —Said the students in unison.

—Actually, I'm not new, I say that every time I fucked up in front of the visitors... —Taking a few seconds to notice her mistake...

—AH! No way, excuse my language... I'm new. —She mentioned with a smile while her hand movements maker seemed to be locked inside an invisible box.

Emily took a deep breath...

—Well then, let's break the rules. —She said with confidence and his hands fist shaped.

—You have my authorization to examine the writings in detail.

—This girl sure is trouble. —The students commented as a drop of sweat flowed from their heads denoting their grief.

—All Might, you should not encourage this girl to do what she is up to. —Aizawa reprimanded him.

—I know, but I really want to get out of this doubt... If it all turns out to be true... It could benefit us all. —He tried to calm his partner down in a soft voice.

—What do you mean, benefit us all? —He asked with a somber look on his face.

Toshinori stared at him hesitating whether to answer his question.

—The origin of a technique that can help us fight powerful quirks and always being aware of your surroundings with minimal effort.

Present Mic grabbed Aizawa by the shoulder and pulled him closer to tell him something in private, leaving the blond hero in doubt.

—He has dementia caused by his trauma; we must stop him. —He connected the dots of his lately behavior.

—He doesn't understand that he's only harming himself by creating fantastic ideas. —Replied his partner sighing.

—Listen All Might, we know you're going through some complicated times, but it's time to move on. —Their conversation was interrupted by the boys who were now showing great interest in the exhibition.

—All might sensei! How do we make them sound? —The energetic young man with red hair started the uproar.

—I REMEMBER BEING MENTIONED AN OPTION WHERE THE WIND RUNS BETWEEN THE CRACKS GENERATING A SLIGHT SOUND, BUT SINCE THIS PLACE IS CLOSED THAT OPTION IS DISCARDED.

_So why mention it in the first place? _

—THE OTHER ONE IS TO PASS SOME THIN TOOL TO SCRAPE THE EDGES OF THE PHONOGRAMS AND CREATE THOSE SOUND WAVES.

Momo was unsure but also quite curious. From her finger a small needle began to sprout... The teachers were unsure of everything that was happening and Emily was more and more excited, the students were well organized watching the surroundings because according to what the guide said, damaging the exhibition could involve the police, so they sent Jirou and Shoji to be attentive for when security came.

That was it, there would be no turning back now. Hagakure was the most excited volunteering to pass the needle, which each slip generated a different vibration, corroborating the blond hero's theory.

—That's just a coincidence, of course they must have irregularities inside, they're carved! There were no lasers back then, you damn idiots! —Bakugo snorted in annoyance.

—Bakugo, could you stop being so negative?! This is history never discovered before we are talking about. This is so... it's soooooo! —Said Kirishima excitedly

—Romantic —Replied Mina more enthusiastically.

—Exciting —Said Ojiro

—Dark. —Continued Tokoyami

—Manly! —Finished Kirishima.

—Mr. All Might... Purely by chance... Don't you find that last symbol strange?... Being a perfect circle is a little bit uncommon. —Emily said pointing to the circular symbol that had caught the hero's attention earlier.

—All of them are irregular figures except for that one.

All Might kept silent, approached Hagakure calmly and gently asked her to hand him the needle, observing it for a few seconds...

Young Yaoyorozu... Could you create one of greater length and hardness if it's not too much to ask —The girl began to generate a 20 cm needle coming out of her wrist and then gave it to her teacher. He took the needle and slid it around the inner perimeter of the circle until it hit something.

All Might tried to push it in until it went all in and pressed, causing a circular cap to come out that was impossible to pull out with his bare hands...

The boys saw the advance and complication, this time interrupting Mineta who approached and without uttering a word offered his help by taking a sphere from his hair and placing it on the lid, extracting it together with an artifact attached to it...

Students, teachers, guides and security watched uncertainty that mysterious object...

—What's that? —Asked a big tanned man.

Everyone turned around with blank faces and saucer-sized eyes watching as someone from security was with them.

—AH JIRO, SHOJI YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GUARD! —Reacted Kaminari.

—SORRY, we heard a sound with you guys and I couldn't help it. —She excused himself while sweating profusely.

—Same for me. —Replied Shoji who still couldn't get his nerves down.

Don't worry, it's my brother Bobby. —Said Emily.

How did you know we were here? —Emily asked as she tried to calm her heart that wanted to leave her body.

—Em... security cameras... You're all together as if someone is giving away money, it's way too obvious... You're lucky my partner got diarrhea with your breakfast and didn't saw anything... The young adult replied a little bit irritated.

—I didn't give him any breakfast... Wait, did you give him the bento I made for you? —Replied annoyed.

—It was disgusting, Em.

—Wait what?! —She replied even more indignantly.

—That's it! We're fired Em! They're going to terminate us... And at work I'm Robert, not Bobby. —Bobby said.

—Might-San, what is that? —Asked Eri who was carried by a nervous Deku who didn't know how to react while watching his hero breaking the rules. The little ruby eyed girl was intent on the artifact as everyone surrounded him confused...

THIS... IS WITHOUT A DOUBT... AN ETERNAL POSE. —All Might replied as he held it up in front of everyone... Evoking a determined smile on his face.
