The lights seemed to fade the surroundings as the alarm sound rang in Toshinori's ears, thus making his migraine worse. Making it challenging for him to distinguish the room's objects.
Dizzy due the lack of strength in his body, the hero used what little energy he had left to get out of bed and make his way to the bathroom, where he saw that his face was thinner and more worn-looking than usual.
— I BELIEVE I OVERTRAINED MYSELF. —He recalled about the day before, when he had gone beyond his typical threshold of energy.
The exhausted hero wore a tailored dark blue suit with a crimson tie, leaving his bedroom looking for his instructor's, hoping she hadn't vanished again.
Present Mic and Eraserhead Mic saw his companion's persistence as he waited in front of the girl's door for several minutes without obtaining an answer, despite the fact that there was no evidence of sound inside.
—Still not awake? —Asked the tired hero with his hands in his pockets.
—SHE'S NOT ANSWERING.
—Hey, what are you doing there? —Questioned the lovely Midnight as she walked from her bedroom, preparing for a new day.
—YEOH! WE HAVE A GUEST IN THE DORMS! —Present Mic thundered his fingers, pointing to the room in front of them,
—Guest?... I would rather say intruder.
—AIZAWA KUN... MISS YUE IS NOT A VILLAIN. —Assured the hero being observed by the heroine with a drop of sweat running down her long hair.
—Anyway, don't make friends with her Midnight.
—I see... You don't like her. —She said mockingly.
—It's more complicated than that.
—And where did she sleep? —She asked quizzically
—BEHIND DOOR NUMBER ONE. —Present Mic gestured with both hands toward the entrance like a TV show host.
—Weird, I never saw anyone going in or out. —Said the heroine, which caught the trio of heroes off guard.
—IT CAN'T BE…
Mic forced his way in for a peek. The room was neat; the books were organized in the bookcases and the logs were on the desk, but the bed didn't appear to have been used.
—NOT AGAIN… —He said disappointed.
—We warned you not to trust her. —Aizawa let out a weary sigh.
—I must report it to Nezu.
All Might was in disbelief that it had happened once more. The hero felt misled by the woman yet again, standing motionless with his eyes closed, trying to sense the "voices" around him. Although he was unable to sense any on his current floor, he was able to detect two faint auras on the first floor, which surprised him by the progress with his ability.
The heroes heard soft murmurs coming from the main room and were shocked to see a muscular blond young man chatting with the white-haired woman who was disguising her expression behind her long hair while giving the little girl a comforting embrace, caressing her gray hair non-stop.
Without showing any signs of his characteristic smile, Mirio appeared upset and attentive to the sleeping child, who had tears flowing down her cheeks from her eyelashes.
—Why is she holding Eri? —Anxious Aizawa asked.
—She calmed her down... Eri chan had another crisis. I found her paralyzed crying nonstop… She wouldn't even allow me get close to her. —Mirio reacted dejectedly.
—This Miss was able to break her out of her trance with a soft humming, and it appears that they bonded since she ran right into her arms.
—That lullaby again...
—Who caused this little girl such much harm? —Asked the white-haired girl who was struggling to remain calm.
Her voice exuded rage. The heroes noticed that she had lost focus and seemed to be losing her mind, as if she were about to make a mistake or have an outburst that would injure Eri.
—Yue... Give us the girl. —He said calmly so as not to detonate the woman.
—THE CULPRITS ARE ALREADY IN PRISON. —The blond made an effort to cool her off by empathizing with the girl.
—Prison? They ought to be put to death. —She muttered, with a quivering voice.
One of her frightened eyes peered out from under her hair as she raised her face. Nobody was prepared to interfere for fear of the unpredictable woman's reaction, as she continued to hold the sleeping girl.
Midnight stealthily grabbed one of the sleeves of her suit, getting ready to put everyone in the room to sleep if necessary.
—Please calm down. —Mirio motioned for both women to halt while waving his hands.
—Miss, you risk hurting Eri if you don't control your temper.
Mirio's words, forced Yue to break out of her trance by revealing the hue of her irises.
The little girl's hair started to soak with a faint rain of tears. The unwanted guest gave Eri one more warm hug before handing her over to Mirio, knowing that if she collapsed, Eri may suffer catastrophic injuries.
—I'm sorry, it's just that... I understand her suffering. —She mentioned sorrowfully.
As she extended her body to hand Eri over, the sleeves of her blouse rolled up, exposing the numerous scars on her arms, which coincidentally resembled those on the young girl, thus confusing the heroes.
—Thank you for calming Eri-chan down. —Midnight cautiously expressed, releasing the sleeve of her uniform, seeing how the guest slowly relaxed and regained her composure.
—No… Thank you saving her. —She mentioned shedding tears on her expressionless face, wiping them away with her bandaged wrist.
After the visitor's outburst, the heroes noticed a noticeable relaxation in the mood. So, Eraserhead decided to assign his three colleagues to handle the situation since the inconvenience had made him late for his class.
—Mirio, we'd better get Eri-Chan to the infirmary. —Midnight took the young blond from behind and escorted him to the main building leaving the 2 pros with the depressed woman.
In an effort to get the miserable girl's attention, All Might knelt down in front of her and pulled up her sleeves to hide her scarred arms. The hero knew that not all rescues required strength and power, but also support and understanding.
—All Might... You look terrible... you must rest... And what happened to your posture? If you keep slouching like that, you'll need a stick tied to your back. —She made an attempt to jest, failing miserably by her depressive tone.
—YOUR MOUTH MUST BE BLEEDING… SINCE YOU BIT YOUR TONGUE! LOOK WHO'S TALKING! —The blonde chastised, pointing out her curled-up.
—MIC, PLEASE... NOT NOW
—No... He's right. How dare I say that… Like this? —She defended the noisy blond by straightening her body, trying to regain her composure.
—How many presences are you capable of perceive? —She veered off topic, asking the frail hero.
—WHAT? —The sudden question confused Mic.
—FOR THE TIME BEING, ONLY TWO... YOURS IS HARDLY NOTICEABLE, AND YOUNG'S MIRIO WHO IS MOVING AWAY IS STRONGER.
—Only two... —The disappointed girl paid attention to the noisy hero, demeriting his strength.
—WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? —He asked confused after the young girl turned to look at him in disgust.
—All in all?
—FOUR. YOUNG MIDORIYA'S AND HOUND DOG'S.
—DON'T IGNORE ME!
—SORRY PRESENT MIC! ETO...IS THE ABILITY THAT ALLOWS TO SENSE THE PRESENCES. —He explained, leaving the blond even more confused.
—ALL MIGHT, THAT DOESN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION AT ALL... —Mic complained, gesturing with his hands
—It is an extinct ability that allows to sense the presences, their strength, emotions, intentions, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities. —Yue finished her explanation, returning her attention to Yagi.
—By the way, there is also another one, which I believe you will be able to perceive. I don't remember his name, but he's not far from here... —She said while pressing temples trying to remember the name.
Since she was unable to remember, Yue ended taking a sheet of paper from the notebook to doodle something on it, folding the paper in four and putting it in a pocket of the hero's suit before leaving the dormitories.
—HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?
—For some tea with Nezu. —She said jokingly.
—TEA?
—She means gossip.
—I meant both… He agreed to put me in touch with someone who could help me.
The group left for the main building's door as Present Mic continued to chastise the two for their behavior, leading them to only scratch their heads embarrassed.
Present Mic persisted in making fun of the girl as All Might seemed bewildered towards the main entrance direction.
—Can you "hear" them? —She asked interestedly, interrupting the noisy hero's banter.
—AT THE SCHOOL ENTRANCE, TWO VOICES. —Proclaimed the hero, causing a proud smile on the guest, who cautiously looked towards the direction they were coming from.
—One of them is about to enter... The other, though, is hidden; could it be a bodyguard of some sort?
Their conversation about the two presences about to enter, were interrupted by Mic babbling…
—YUE, TSUKI, MOON, MUN…
—What is it all that about?
—HE IS POLYGLOT
—Outstanding… So, he just looks dumb.
—DON'T BE RUDE.
—YOUR NAME MEANS MOON, RIGHT?
—Eh? Yes... —She said apologetically, combing her hair behind her ear.
—I was named after my hair colo...
—LUNE, LUA, LUNA…
—LUNA-TIC... BOY! DOES IT FITS PERFECTLY!
She was caught off guard by the blonde's loud joke, which caused her to curl up on the ground and start stacking little stones while muttering.
—WHAT IS SHE SAYING?
—BEATS ME
—How was your way back yesterday? — She sidestepped the question, making All Might blush with shame and unable to provide an answer.
—HE FELL ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE DORMS. NOW THE SCHOOL HAVE HOLLYWOOD VIBES WITH HIS HANDS AND FACE PRINTED ALL OVER THE PLACE. —Replied Present Mic, watching as the hero joined the young lady, curled up gathering pebbles.
—HOW SENSITIVE!
—You must stand tall and proud… —She complained disappointedly to the blond, both sharing a dark depression aura.
—SHUT IT, MISS.
The late arrival of the exhausted teacher caused him to lose the rhythm of his class. As a result, he decided to take a nap, sleeping cocoon-style in a corner of the room, accomplishing what they did not think was possible: sleeping peacefully despite the students' constant cries as they continued to brainstorm ideas for the school festival.
Mineta was placed in a sack while being gagged in order to keep him immobile and silent after making several inappropriate suggestions that upset the girls.
Even without settling on an activity for the festival, the alternatives for food and entertainment kept growing, totally saturating the board.
—The proposals that are deemed improper or unclear will be removed. — The class vice president concluded erasing 4 proposals off the board.
—Ruthless! — Tokoyami expressed surprise at having his suggestion rejected, while Mineta was miffed behind him.
—Then don't ask us in the first place. —Growled Bakugo irritated.
—The history presentation seems a bit boring. —Hagakure complained, distressing the representatives.
—I thought it would be helpful. —With her hand on her tie, the wealthy young heroine replied apologetically.
—I mean… That's fine, but we do study sessions all the time, we need something fun. —Sero complained, tired of all the extra studying due to his poor grades.
The class representative shouted for utter stillness while frantically waving his hands to try to garner attention so that brainstorming could continue, but the number of voices speaking among themselves was growing as they discussed the remaining ideas and how they could put them together.
—Hey guys, will the field trip today be canceled or is it still scheduled? —Kirishima enquired.
—Just because we didn't leave in the morning doesn't mean it's cancelled? Or does it? —Sero was unsure of his answer.
—Why would it be cancelled? —Kaminari joined in.
—Because of Nee-san's arrival. —Concluded Jiro frustrated of the situation.
—But she will be safe here. —Said the energetic red-haired hero.
—That's why I don't think they'll cancel it. —The electric blond declared.
The entrance door to the classroom slid open, allowing the petite principal to enter looking for the lump on the floor.
—Aizawa sen-sei. —Said adorably patting his head, waking up the tired teacher.
The loud murmurs of the students could be heard asking about the principal sudden arrival.
—Young heroes, you may return to your seats, I need to deliver an important message.
—THEY'RE CANCELING THE FIELD TRIP! —The students yelled in unison.
—Silence! —ordered the professor, coming out of his sleeping bag, causing everyone to sit perfectly still without moving a muscle.
—Thank you Aizawa Sensei. —Said the rodent jumping onto the desk so that everyone could see him.
—As your classmates have already informed you. You are not allowed to discuss what you witnessed yesterday with anyone. —He gave an order, shocking the students with his request.
—Miss Yue and I met with a few police officers last night. I presume that all of you were warned about the risk you might have exposed by taking part in the discovery of a forbidden artifact? I wanted to let you know that everything is being done to work in your favor. Currently, all we ask of you is that you all keep quiet about what happened.
The hero apprentices had some skepticism regarding the truthfulness of the statements made by the symbol of peace and the unwanted visitor, but Nezu's sincere concern convinced them that this was not a fantasy.
—Wait, principal Nezu! Does that mean it's all real? —Iida asked concerned.
—You are free to believe whatever you want, but keep it to yourselves.
—HOW ARE YOU SO SURE? HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S NOT UNDER YOUR ABILITY?! —The representative asked in a panic, silencing the Mink.
—Because Miss Yue is quirkless.
—WAIT ONE MINUTE! Are you some kind of member of a group tasked with hiding the truth? —Afraid, Kaminari questioned.
—Another conspiracy theorist. —Jiro scoffed, covering her mouth.
—SILENCE! —Aizawa froze the students with one single call.
—If you are not willing to have the world as your enemy, it is better not to ask any more questions on the subject... I am truly sorry you were involved. — In front of everyone, the principal honestly begged for forgiveness, which alarmed everybody in attendance, including the skeptic professor.
—WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?
—Nezu kun! Hurry up, time is running out! —Said a childish voice coming from a restless girl with turquoise eyes and long violet hair braided into horns. peeking into the classroom pressing her chest showing concern.
Nezu slightly nodded, stepping down from the desk to continue his way.
—It's better to distract all of you from everything that's been going on... Your bus leaves at sunset. —The principal remarked, dodging the explosive student's query and escorting the little girl out of the building.
The students were speechless after their superior's warning, remaining still in their seats until the recess bell rang.
The cafeteria seemed to be divided by an invisible line, dividing the students from the teachers, always keeping the older ones cornered from the energetic and noisy youngsters.
—NOOOO! —The shy hero shouted in terror.
—Koda-san, you've been very upset lately, kero.
—They found two humpback whale carcasses while searching for Lucy... Those... Those poachers continue to do their thing... I hate them so much. —He annoyedly stated with tears in his eyes.
—Calm down. —His classmates tried to cheer him up by patting him on the back.
—It won't take long until someone find them. —Shoji said confidently, encouraging the young man.
—Look, it says here that they have already sent a group of marine conservationists to investigate. —Kaminari cheerfully said in a loud voice, reading a related article, being discouraged by Tokoyami.
—Kaminari... Finish the article before speaking.
—Their whereabouts are unknown... THEY SANK THEM! —Yelled the blond, pulling his cell phone away from his sight in surprise.
—It's the group that departed just this morning. Don't worry. This will be settled quickly. They are trained for this... Perhaps they just lost communication, there's not much signal in the ocean. —Encouraged the consistently upbeat Uravity.
—Mhm!
The students started to mutter about what happened in class and eventually accepted the absurd pirate tale of a very dangerous past, which caught the attention of the professors due to the volume of the suspicious murmurs.
—What are your students up to, Aizawa? —Vlad King demanded.
—Those disobedient kids are going against the single directive they were given. —Eraserhead indignantly glanced at his students.
—They still can't agree on their festival activity.
—Hmm? All Might Are you all right? —Midnight questioned puzzled, while noticing the blond kept his eyes closed ignoring completely his food.
—No offense, but you look terrible. —Ectoplasm remarked without getting an answer from his comrade.
—Does it have anything to do with the young lady's ability?
—What lady? —Vlad King asked in shock.
The fact that only a select few teachers were aware of the suspect's existence caused the masked hero to pause for a little period of time.
—She is quirkless... You just wasted your time watching her. —Aizawa stated.
—Okay, enough with the secrecy... Just make clear what is happening. —The beautiful heroine complained.
—SORRY MIDNIGHT, WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT IT... IT'S CONFIDENTIAL, CON-FI-DEN-TI-AL! —The blond waved his arms, repeatedly chanting the last word, making some of the teacher's lose their patience.
While Present Mic was shouting loudly around him, All Might remained silent, making an effort to pay attention to his surroundings. He inhaled deeply to calm his body and shield himself from the environment.
—THREE PRESENCES AROUND— The blond noticed three voices, that were weak enough to not be able to distinguish their silhouettes.
The hero opened his eyes to discover who they belonged to.
—YOUNG MIRIO... —He turned to see the burly hero sharing a meal with his couple of friends.
—HOUND DOG —He was shocked to recognize the furious canine hero, who was about to erupt in wrath at Present Mic for not lowering his voice. —IT'S EASIER TO "LISTEN TO HIM" WHEN HE LOSES HIS TEMPER... —He thought with a drop sliding down his messy hair.
—VLAD KING —He stared at the white-haired hero sitting at the corner of the table, remembering Yue had mentioned to him a remaining person he had yet to identify.
All Might pulling the paper from his pocket where he kept the identity of the new "voice".
He curiously opened the note and discovered the most horrifically abstract drawing he had ever had the displeasure to witness on it. He had to repeatedly turn the paper to identify its shape. Deciding to interpret the written phrase "Blood Bulldog " just to confirm that it was Vlad King.
—WHAT AN HORRENDOUS DRAWING! - He couldn't contain himself and burst out laughing.
—What do you have there? —Midnight asked curiously.
—LET'S SEE! —Mic carelessly took the paper from the hero's hands trying understand the shape of the messy drawing.
—BLOOD BULLDOG... —He remained thoughtful for a few moments, trying to discover the hidden message.
The paper was taken by the white-haired hero, who lost his cool when he realized it was about him.
—WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? IS THIS THING SUPPOSED TO BE ME?
—ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF ME?! —The hero's voice was louder, expressing his annoyance at being made fun of by an adult.
—WAIT HAHAHAHAHA IS THAT YOU? —Mic's laughter echoed throughout the dining area.
—TWO PEAS IN A POD! — He revealed the drawing to the other professional heroes, setting off the person involved and bringing grief to the blond.
—f you close your eyes a little bit, it looks like a tumor... —Midnight said squinting her eyes.
—Also, if you don't. —Said Ectoplasm.
—THEY DREW IT WITH THEIR ASSES! —Hound Dog kept laughing, quickly transforming his laughter into rage, starting to swallow like a stray rabid dog, throwing leftovers of his food to his partners.
The different emotions of those present generated an increase in their vitality, feeling not only the presence of their auras, but also being able to vaguely distinguish the energies of each one... Still not quite understanding how he was able to differentiate them.
A voice could be "heard" coming from outside the school, so the hero turned his attention toward the cafeteria entrance.
—What's going on? —Eraserhead asked.
—I'M NOT SURE... I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING OUTSIDE.
Aizawa analyzed his coworker behavior, trusting his instincts and experience.
—Do you consider it as a threat? To inform it to the principal.
—The principal is not here... He went out with a little girl and Gang Orca. —Said Ectoplasm
—MAYBE I JUST WORRY ABOUT NOTHING? —He rubbed the back of his head and remarked, dissatisfied with his response.
The hero groups' courses had been canceled so they could get ready for their forthcoming trip, leaving the dining hall unoccupied.
Toshinori left the main building and continued to look in the direction of the forest outside the school. He could not see anything and was only able to feel uneasy as he made his way to the others, preparing for their departure.
The sun was beginning to set, announcing the next departure of the buses. The hero course 1-A and 1-B were excitedly carrying their backpacks at the entrance ready to board the vehicles that would take them to the unknown training camp.
Aizawa watched his students depart accompanied by Mirio carrying Eri in his arms, saying a mournful goodbye to the group she had spent so much time with
The tired man put his hands in his pockets and retired to the teachers' dorms. While he would have preferred to personally oversee the group's safety and instruction, he had to stay in the facilities in case the young girl's quirk got out of hand. He left his students in charge of Vlad King, All Might, Present Mic, and Midnight, who were the most experienced to deal with any troublemakers.
Shota left the energetic blond encouraging the little girl while he finished his study plan for when his students returned, leaving them alone to continue on their way.
He entered the living room and met with a depressing scene…Yue was lying unconscious with her face buried in a broken coffee table with the television on. The young woman wore her hair badly dyed violet and her braids arranged like a scarf.
Shouta thought about passing by and continue with his preparations, but a small notebook on the broken table caught his interest. He collected the papers and settled down to carefully examine them on one of the couches before stopping when he noticed two sheets of computations, the results of which were located on a shabbily sketched map with a route traced.
The specific planisphere only included the region between Russia and the entirety of Japan, two points were marked in a straight line, each one had a date and speed in knots, marking with a star a third point indicating the approximate date and time within a day and a half based on the calculations from the previous pages.
—What is he looking for?! —He thought, taking his time reviewing the rest of the notes while the girl woke up.
After some time, her unconscious body started to raise its face, which was punctured in the front by multiple splinters.
—How long has it been? she hazily questioned.
—Since I arrived... About 30 minutes. —Shota reply with the notebook in hand, capturing the young woman's attention.
—What is this? —The hero said, placing the notes on the table.
—A route.
—I know.
—Then why do you ask? —The maiden lay down on one of the armchairs, turning her attention to the school entrance.
—Listen… If you intend to stay, you better behave properly. —After her impolite reaction, he chastised her angrily, realizing that she was easily sidetracked.
—The bones of both specimens were completely clean...
—What are you talking about?
—The news about the whale carcasses? They mention that a larger creature may have devoured them or that they may be poachers... Whoever did it, took full advantage of the cetaceans' flesh… Hunters don't usually discard the bones; they sell them for large amounts of yen to collectors. —She explained, giving her full attention to the hero.
—What I'm trying to say is that the purpose behind the killing of these whales is purely for food... And it can't be caused by another species. They need days to clean the carcasses in that way and the heads are still fresh...
—What's so important about that? —He tiredly questioned, as he was unable to see her point.
—In ancient times when travelers consumed marine species, they used to leave the bones and heads floating to avoid the extra weight on the ships and to scare away predators they had attracted with the blood... You never know when another prey will be found again, so wasting food on the open seas could result in your demise, we tended to make the most of the creatures' meat.
—This kind of behavior had never been seen in the actuality before. That made me realize that I had overlooked the shark's disappearance... It was noted yesterday.
—How is that important?
—The day… The disappearances of big sea creatures started the same date the Poneglyph have engraved. — She spoke shakily, starting to formulate yet another absurd theory; unintentionally turning her head once more in the direction of the school's entrance.
—And you intend to intercept those criminals... —He concluded, crossing his arms and relaxing his body on the sofa, regaining the attention of the girl who nodded in agreement.
—I will tell you what I think… —Aizawa let out a sigh.
—I think your need for answers just leads you to overthink everything that occurs. —He tried to mentor the young woman as the voice of experience he has been to his students by calmly expressing his concern about the lady compulsive behavior.
—Yes... I am aware that it could be a coincidence. —After hearing the hero's words, she retorted dejectedly.
—But it could still be linked to the event written in the ancient blocks... —She continued stubbornly.
—Two whales in one day, it must be a big group... Maybe it's dangerous or even worse, marines. —She murmured, sticking to her views but dodging any reasonable criticism.
She swallowed saliva as her body tightened and dug her fingers into the sofa. She suddenly turned towards the same direction that continued to draw her attention.
—It's the same direction All Might was looking. —He thought uneasy, remembering how his work partner had been gazing out toward the facility's perimeter.
—You haven't stopped looking outside since you woke. What's going on? —He said with concern.
—All day long I have felt a presence in that direction, it was just sitting there existing without moving... Until now... —She confessed, hiding her nervousness with a threatening look at the outskirts.
—Do you think they are watching us?
—Have they found out again about the students' departure? If so, I'll have to inform Nezu to prevent another attack... But… Even if the team isn't complete, assaulting the school would be foolish. —He arranged his thoughts to avoid another incident from happening again.
The maiden fear could be seen in her widening eyes as she abruptly stood up from the sofa, and seized Eraserhead by the scarf without warning, running towards the entrance pulling the confused hero before the sudden action.
—HEY! —He griped as he struggled to restore his equilibrium after being suddenly pulled.
The muscular blond was attending to a call outside the dorms as Eri curiously approached the outer wall by going away from him following a rolling stone.
The little girl was standing in front of a little pebble as Eraserhead noticed how it stopped and another rock appeared underneath. He grabbed the hand tugging at his scarf, and released it, racing forward, leaving the maiden behind.
—MIRIO! ERI!
The blond turned shocked to his sensei, who pointed towards the direction of the little girl who was immobile watching as the stone that she followed now formed part of the phalanges that built up an arm emerging from the earth formed by rocks.
The warmth of familiar arms enveloped Eri, pulling her off the ground as a massive creature started to take shape in front of them, while Mirio tried to reach his teacher.
—Mirio-kun. —She said softly relieved to see the blond's gentle smile.
She grabbed the fabric of his sweatshirt hiding her face, fully trusting that the now quirkless hero would rescue her from danger once more.
The young girl's attention was drawn by the warning rumble of boulders crashing together as the ground opened up to welcome more monsters.
Her big red eyes watched the scene in horror... Behind them followed a large 4 meters high golem, while in their surroundings another 5 giants began to emerge, blocking the way with their teacher.
The sudden surfacing of the stone giants was unpredictable, so releasing the little girl for defending or attacking was not an option.
—Keep your eyes closed, Eri-chan.
A large wall of enormous golems in front of them blocked his path to Eraserhead, so he spoke to the young child in a loving tone while laying his palm on her head to show little Eri' that he would not let her go.
Aizawa continued his way non-stopping. he adjusted his goggles activating his Quirk with no result.
—The villain must have a long-range Quirk. —He instantly reasoned trying to find the perpetrator, recalling how All Might and the woman were able to locate the direction of the villain.
—YUE! WHERE IS THE PRESENCE LOCATED?! —He turned around and waited for the young woman, who was lying on the ground recovering from a fall caused by her heart condition, to respond.
Yue sank her fingernails into the earth with the remaining strength she had in an attempt to crawl even though her body was not reacting at all and her sight and hearing were diminishing.
She did not want to yield to the menace. —Please, just give me one last breath. —she berated herself.
Faced with the young girl's inability to answer, Eraserhead decided to curb the threat and allow the students to flee. His scarf began to levitate over his head, getting close enough to encounter the creatures.
—Come on Eri-chan, activate your Quirk! —Thought the blond, dodging the golems' punches and stomps.
—Everything will be fine! —He mentioned confidently with a wide smile dedicated to the little girl, calming her with his kind gesture.
One of the golems in front of the professor was covered by the professor's scarf. Despite not having the strength to control the creature's limbs, Aizawa was able to launch himself at the stone titan's head while evading three golems thanks to the tension created in the material.
—ERASERHEAD SENSEI! —Mirio could see the professor in the heights.
The professor was being harassed by an impatient hand when he sprang off the golem's head, leaving him exposed in the air.
In a quick reaction, his scarf caught one of the fingers pulling his body out of reach.
Shota agility and speed were no match for the enormous stone monsters; their bulk and weight made them move slowly and awkwardly, turning their strength into weakness before the hero.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, he used the giant's hand as leverage and knotted the other end of his scarf to the feet of the golem nearest to the young blond. This caused the movement of both giants to unbalance the hefty bodies, knocking them down and opening the way.
—Mirio, I'll take care of Eri, can you handle these things? —The blond head-nodded.
The heroes were caught off guard as the rocks started to roll, dematerializing the creatures' bodies creating a massive limb and subsequently continuing to create a seventh entity beneath them. They both attempted to move out of the way of the enormous hand's attack, but it was impossible due to how quickly the hand's fingers formed.
A 15-meter-tall colossal troll's fist closed, creating an improvised cage that imprisoned the young hero with Eri in his arms. The enormous beast set off the school's alarm; a red light flashed in the vicinity of the buildings alerting everyone about the threat.
The heroes heard the siren; they just needed to wait a little while longer for assistance to arrive.
Mirio approached the fingers, concentrating his strength in one of her fists, covering the child with his body to protect her from the flying debris that would result from the impact. However, some stalactites formed around his arm, preventing it from connecting his blow, trapping both of them without harm.
—Eri-chan. I'll need my arm to set us free… so I need you to firmly hold me around the neck and not let go. —The girl obediently clung to his neck, allowing the blond to use his considerable power to smash through the rock formations.
To stop the blond from landing his strike, the enormous troll concentrated on renewing the rock pillars. Eraserhead noticed that it was not complicated for Mirio to get rid of them, he just needed an opening opportunity to be able to free himself from the cell formed by the hand.
—It's too big, I need help to find the owner of that quirk. —Thought Aizawa climbing up the immobile titan looking for a way to knock down one of the fingers and give the young hero a chance to escape.
—ERASER! —The young girl who was stumbling exhaustedly towards his direction screamed out to him.
—AT YOUR TWO-TWENTY HOURS, THIRTY METER INTO THE FOREST! —She finally responded to his request after barely dodging a punch by climbing over the golem's hand and jumping across heads until she approached them.
Yue used the big golem's height to propel herself towards the hand that was holding the boys, using his remaining energy in a last jump, losing consciousness and using the weight of her unconscious body as a projectile, destroying one of the golems fingers with the impact, continuing her fall thus destroying part of the floor.
—She used her last energy to take advantage of her weird condition to free them!... That idiot, with her weight I won't be able to get her out of danger!
Eraserhead was able to rescue both students from the Troll by holding the blond's wrist while he continued destroying the pillars that grew around him, eventually allowing them to escape into free fall.
The titan's mobility returned to the rest of his body trying to catch the heroes before touching with the ground failing in the attempt.
Mirio's excellent condition prevented him from injuring himself during the landing, managing to keep Eri safe.
In a fit of wrath, the enormous troll raised both arms and interlocked its fingers before letting them fall where the girl was unconscious and striking her with a blow to bury her body.
—STOP! —Mirio screamed fiercely as the golem grabbed Yue from the debris and imitated her final deed by throwing her at the heroes.
Mirio handed the girl over to Eraser to catch the young woman who was speeding towards them, being knocked down by the teacher.
Eraserhead felt his body burn as he watched the Yue's body strike the perimeter wall, smashing it, and become buried in the debris. She was too heavy for him to lift her. Aizawa felt powerless to assist the maiden. He kept considering going outside to seek for the offender if the students weren't present. They needed assistance, most of the heroes were gone.
—WHY DID YOU STOP ME, ERASERHEAD?! —Mirio kept acting boldly in the situation wanting to avoid further harm to the woman like the great hero he was becoming.
—You're not aware of her weight problem…With that speed, she would easily shattered your bones.
—I need to get Mirio and Eri away from here, but the villain can create these creatures anywhere... I have to find him and nullify his Quirk. -His heart was racing; he couldn't leave them alone.
—Mirio! Take her to the main building, I'll cover you! —The young hero obeyed the order running around the perimeter following the fence to limit the attacks, being surprised by 2 golems that formed in front of them.
—Damn it, they are the targets. —Eraserhead thought as he saw them focusing on the blond always cutting his way out.
The bristly-haired hero advanced, wrapping his scarf around the adversaries' feet and obstructing their way so the blond could proceed.
Two cement pillars sprouted from the heads of the monsters contained by Eraserhead scarf, slamming into each other, shattering the heads in their entirety.
As a row of pillars sprang out of the ground and struck the remaining golems, making boulders began to fall all around the area.
—CEMENTOSS SENSEI!
—I'll take care of it. —Said the concrete hero.
Shota gladly accepted his word and went in search of the villain on the other side of the fence, freely maneuvering among the trees with the aid of his scarf.
In accordance with the instructions he had received, he managed to find a big hulking, 3-meter man with the mole's face and a pair of incarnated binoculars on his head.
The villain tensed and raised his arms in an attempt to create another of his giants, but his power ceased to manifest. In front of him was an enraged hero projecting a gloomy attitude, his hair levitated along with his peculiar weapon and the glow of his red eyes dazzled behind his unique goggles; the hero crossed his arms and grabbed his scarf in order to apprehend the merciless bad guy who had tried to take the students' lives,
The big mole was nothing compared to his creations, without his quirk he had no chance against the enraged hero. Despite his size and power, he was just another fighter focused on his ability, against a skilled opponent who uses his opponent's strength against them.
The villain charged towards the hero, striking the tree that Eraserhead had been using to analyze his opponent… Aizawa sprang away, using his scarf to catch the arm that had struck the tree.
The agility and quick judgment of the hero led him to use a nearby branch to swing as a pendulum, taking advantage of his free-falling weight to lift the villain's body, and speed to provide him with a strike.
—WHAT THE FUCK? — The massive gray guy yelled, trying to grab the scarf to untie himself, but was cut off by a kick to the face, temporarily throwing him off balance.
The villain attempted to strike the hero, who used the movement of his arm to capture him with the middle part of his scarf.
He tried to strike a blow to the hero who took advantage of the movement of his arm to catch him with the middle part of his scarf, and then leapt to his back, pulling vehemently on the unique fabric while applying a lock, so that even the smallest movement caused him excruciating anguish.
The villain struggle to escape, and as he did, the outer boundaries of the forest were invaded by his agonizing screams from the pain he had been subjected to.
Due to the intense suffering he was experiencing, he made a rapid action to extricate himself that resulted in the dislocating of both arms that caused him to spill great spurts of saliva
As his arms were useless, the hero finished tying them together with his legs, leaving him dangling while he waited for the cops to capture him.
—It's been a while since the alarm activated… It shouldn't take long for the authorities to come.
—Now tell me... Who sent you? —The furious hero pulled the fabric so hard that the mole felt almost how he his limbs were ripped.
The sound of the small stones colliding together signaled Eraserhead's victory and reassured everyone in attendance as the giants began to crumble, breaking into thousands of tiny pebbles.
Mirio turned to Cementoss with the little girl still hiding her face in his jacket.
—We need to bring Recovery girl. —He said seriously, capturing the attention of the red-eyed girl.
—Is Onee-san all right? —She asked hesitantly, not being able to find her in the surroundings.
—She'll be fine, she just needs to rest. —The young girl was comforted by Mirio's lies, as he tried to avoid Eri's sight away from the wall that had been demolished.
They chose to keep the truth from Sir. Nighteye and her new friend in order to avoid upsetting her. They didn't feel prepared to tell the little girl—who had just recently begun to enjoy life—about something as horrible as dying.
—I want to see her. —Eri insisted, trying to get down from the blond's arms.
—Eri... Please don't... —The young hero said in a quiet voice, placing his forehead on the little girl's forehead.
Eri managed to understand what was happening without saying a word, she turned to the direction that Mirio prevented her, carefully watching the rubble. The girl narrowed her eyes and started humming the soothing tune. She didn't stop humming until Eraserhead appeared walking toward her from the outside of the perimeter fence.
—Eraserhead sensei...
—She tried harder than she could bear... —Remarked the teacher as he saw them gathered in front of the rubble.
—Losing consciousness to use the weight of your body as a projectile even though you knew it would leave you vulnerable... You really are admirable. —Shota thought sorrowfully, remembering the mistreatment he gave her from the moment they met.
Aizawa started to reminisce in his head the young girl's dubious actions: her serious demeanor, those tasteless jokes, peculiar habits, her discarding of evidence, and those bizarre confessions that seemed to be lies… In hindsight, their actions were only well-intentioned with lousy execution by a clumsy asocial being who has avoided coexistence for years.
—What happened to the villain? —Cementoss asked.
—The police are taking care of it as we speak.
—Mirio, go get Nezu and Recovery Girl. —Shota ordered without further details indicating him in a non-verbal way to take Eri.
The blonde picked up the little child, who was unable to help but turn to watch the heroes dug the woman out of the rubble.
As the two heroes were finished to totally uncover the woman's body, the principal and his old friend Recovery Girl came at the scene of the incident. Strangely, there were no signs of blood or broken bones despite the fact that her clothing was severely torn and revealed a ravaged body covered in both old and new wounds.
—Her body bears no signs of life. —Cementoss broke the news in grief.
Nezu approached the corpse, examining the young woman's scars that ended bringing up horrific recollections of his past.
He shook his head to clear his mind and saw a big gap in the woman face, going from her forehead to her cheek… A deep diagonal slash had sliced the flesh into two, strangely there was no evidence of blood seeping from the wound.
Nezu curiously opened the wound with his paws while closely examining the dark ash that had replaced her blood within.
—What is that? —The heroes asked in confusion.
—Recovery Girl, look after her body... Let me know when she falls into rigor mortis. —Nezu stated frivolously, surprising everyone in attendance with his odd response.
—Cementoss-san... Call the teachers who went to the excursion; it's essential for them to come back to the facilities. Until we know who or whom the targets are, it will be best to be all together.
