Well that's convenient, now there's just one more thing to do before we can leave. I think to myself before sending off a number of messages. First I message Serina.
FROM: UNSC.S-104
TO: UNSC.AI.SNA.1292-4
SERINA, IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR US TO BE ON OUR WAY. MAKE YOUR WAY BACK TO THE REGULAR RENDEZVOUS POINT.
Sending that off, I send off a quick message to the pelican pilots telling them to prep for dust off. With another short message I tell Kasumi to collect her trophies and take them to our private hangar to load up. And finally I send a message in a group message to both Kuroko and Doppel asking them to come to the penthouse for a chat.
Waiting for the two women to arrive felt like having a vice clamping down on my heart every second of every minute until it started feeling like it was going to explode in anticipation for the conversation that was about to happen. Hearing the door open behind me while I soak in the view from the high rise, I begin to speak. "Thank you both for coming, before you tell me what you've each decided I wanted to once again tell you that I will not force you to come with us and I will honor whatever decision you have made." I say, turning to the two indigenous people of this reality. "Now, with that being said, what… is?" I look down at their faces, each with a smug grin, and continue to look down finding that Doppel has on a small backpack that likely has all of her personal possessions, and Kuroko has five suitcases, two backpacks, a duffel bag, three purses, and a fanny pack, I didn't realize that those were even a thing, all either on her or trailing behind her.
"I guess I have my answer." I say smiling at the two.
"Of course you do." Said the black haired woman. "We were never going to let you have an adventure like this on your own."
"We just wanted you to sweat a little bit for kidnapping us." The shapeshifter concluded while turning her nose up at the SPARTAN.
"That's fair." I said before once again looking at the discrepancy between the number of bags between the two of them. Choosing the lesser of two evils I turn to Doppel. "So… a tiny backpack?" I ask, and to be fair this bag is literally just one of those tiny ones that middle school girls wear around the mall, the ones that can maybe carry two 12 oz cans of soda if you're willing to risk breaking the zipper. "Do you have anything else?"
"Nope this is it." The white haired beauty replied. "You don't really need much if you can just shapeshift your clothes into whatever you want."
Letting out a sigh of defeat, I respond. "I know, that's really convenient." Then I turn to the other woman. "And then we have this… did you grab everything? I think you might be missing the kitchen sink."
Kuroko blushes slightly and looks over her shoulder. "I have everything I need." She said in a small voice.
Giving her a kind smile I nod. "Well then let's go to the hanger, I was going to have them pick us up here, but with half a department store it'd probably be safer to load up on the…" I slap my face. "I'm an idiot." I walk over to the train of bags behind Kuroko and, putting my hand on it, place the lot of them into my pocket space. "Okay, who's ready to blow this popsicle stand?"
Receiving two affirmatives, I message the pelican flight crew for a pickup, and 15 minutes later we were airborne and preparing to leave atmo.

Port Flight deck, UNSC Full Moon
Dark Side of the Moon
Walking off the ramp I could see just how busy Serina had been in my absence. At the stern end of the deck I saw one of the groundside vehicle depots working furiously to crank out warthogs and scorpions using the Subnautica fabrication tech, leaving lines of finished product to be loaded into crates that would be easily sent down to a firebase. Along the port bulkhead I saw two bearths that had new residents that were not there last month, one completed and one under construction Vulture Gunship. I wasn't expecting for Serina to have been working on those. I think with a smile. It seemed like there was a line of pallets traveling back and forth between the construction bearth and the fabrication structure, indicating that they were fabricating the components and then assembling them, brilliant.
Walking towards the elevator I see Serina walking to meet us. "Hello there Serina, been keeping busy have we?" I ask, nodding towards the gunships as I come to a stop.
"Of course." She replies with a smirk, stopping right next to me. "You never know when you'll need the support."
"Nice, but I want you to hold off on putting all of the internal systems into the new one. I'd like to use it as a test bed for integrating the different technologies that we find in the world after next." I say with a slightly crazy smile, briefly allowing my inner mad scientist out.
Giving me a stoic nod, she continues. "Yes commander, we were due to begin installing the electronics tomorrow morning at 0730 shipboard time, however I will tell them to wait until we get the go ahead."
"Very good." I say, as I take a step continuing along my route towards the elevator, Serina falling into step beside me, and Kuroko and Doppel walking a few steps behind us.
"Where did you get so many armored trucks?" The black-haired human asked as a warthog drives past us towards the bow.
"And tanks." The white-haired shapeshifter adds as we walk past two parked scorpions just before stopping to board the elevator.
"They were all built in-house." Serina said as we stepped into the car. "Using a combination of our technology and that of miss Ayou, we've developed a system that allows us to produce a warthog LAV every 53.72 minutes and a scorpion MBT every 206.42 minutes."
Doing some quick mental math that was roughly a warthog an hour, and a scorpion every three and a half hours. "Excellent." I say while we're on our way to the O deck or the Officers deck. "Tell me Serina, do you have any data on a vehicle called a bulldog?" After receiving a negative shake of the head I continue. "I figured, I'm pretty sure it's a fan creation. Anyway it's a motorcycle with twin chain guns attached to the handle column and I believe it also has a grenade launcher that is built into the chassis."
"Sir, all of that recoil would make any vehicle with only two wheels highly unstable and very likely to crash." Serina interjected, looking mortified.
"Calm down Serina, I didn't expect for it to work immediately. I want you to try working out the best way to make it feasible." I say in as soothing a voice as I can. "I mainly want a vehicle that can be deployed in a SOEIV pod."
As the doors open and we all exit, the AI among us visibly relaxes. "Now, could you please get these two personal quarters? I have something to take care of before we leave. Meet me on the bridge at…" I check my watch for the current time. "1900 for the final planning and preparation before we initiate the jump." Receiving a nod from the woman, I remove Kurokos bags from my pocket space and line them up on the ground.
"What do you want from us?" The agent asked, almost shyly.
"Feel free to wander, if you want you are welcome to join us for the briefing. Otherwise I have nothing for you." I say, giving the three women a smile before I head to an aft cargo bay that I'm pretty sure isn't being used too heavily.
Arriving at the room I'm pleased to find it void of life as I enter, while this isn't exactly secretive I don't know what exactly I'm doing either, and I want plenty of room for this. Opening my app on my HUD I look at my total credits to find a whopping 559 available credits.
First I need a couple of these. I think to myself as I delve into the companions and purchase two Huragok, the Forerunner built Engineers that the Covenant used in Halo, for 20 credits each. You need at least two of them for them to reproduce and I want these mechanical miracle workers spread across my entire future fleet. Then some stuff for me. I purchase Science, Engineering, Aesthetic, Communication, Performance, Psychic, and Covert Talents for a total of 110 and shared Engineering, Communication, and Covert for 30 more.
I add double Stress Defense for the reduced cost of 6 credits, and double up on Mind, Possession, and Corruption Defenses for another 170. I then get Trace and Paradox leaving me with 103 remaining credits. Hell, that was a ridiculous amount of points spent. I think before looking at my two new Familiars.
"Okay, first of all, do you both understand me?" I ask looking between them. Getting an identical pair of nods I continue. "Good, now this ship will soon be traveling and collecting many interesting technologies. I want you two and those who you create to assist in the reverse engineering and implementation of these technologies, understand?" Getting a pair of energetic trills, many moving tentacles and cilia, and most importantly two more nods, I continue. "Excellent, now before we get there I need you to agree to something, and pass the agreement on to the next generation." As they once again give me their full attention I get to the point. "I need you to try to document, or at least explain, everything new you do to the ships AI so that we can recreate your achievements while you continue to play with any new technology."
The two before me look at each other and start signing in a blur of tentacles, as this is going on I notice that Communication Talent is slowly starting to kick in as I'm able to track more and more of the conversation. After a couple of minutes they turn back and sign at me. This is acceptable, while we do not enjoy having to delay our innovation we will do so. Or at least I'm pretty sure that was the reply. We will begin with creating more of us to assist in our work.
"Very good, two more things: first I would request that you create a translation device that can interpret your sign language into the English language. Many of my people would have a hard time understanding your words if you go too quickly." Receiving what appears to be understanding nods I move on. "And second, what are your names? In the event that we have to summon you specifically."
The one on the left moves first. I am Perfectly Adjusted.
And I am No Calibration Needed. The one floating to the right signed.
"Awesome, now there is an experimental fusion of tech in the Port hangar, please don't pull it apart until we have a second prototype to work with. We need it for production. If you have any questions please ask myself or the ships AI." With some more affirmations I turn and leave, checking my watch to see that it was only 1748, leaving me with over an hour to play with before the briefing.
Whelp I can't think of anything, I'll just go try to make my thoughts clearer before I try explaining them to everyone. I decide, moving for the bridge.

Bridge, UNSC Full Moon
Dark Side of the Moon
Looking at the holographic representation of Earth on the holotable, I finish putting my thoughts in order as Serina appears from the terminal in physical form.
"Sir, your briefing is scheduled to begin in 97.3 seconds. Are you ready?" She asked with the precision that only an AI could have.
"As ready as I can be to be dropped in at an unknown moment before the events of the show." I reply, resetting the display so that we could all observe my plan.
"Of course he's ready." Kasumi said, walking through the bulkhead with Robin, Kuroko, and Doppel behind her. "Don't you know? He's a scary smart dragon/super-soldier who happens to travel the multiverse." The Japanese thief continued.
Sighing in fond amusement I shake my head. "While I appreciate the vote of confidence that has yet to be seen. Now since this is our first jump I'm implementing a few rules. 1) Please hold all questions, comments, and concerns until after I'm done presenting the outline of the plan I present." Getting five nods in response to my words, I continue. "2) If you have any suggestions on what to alter to improve our position then say so, at the appropriate time. I'm not arrogant enough to assume that I have already gone over every single possibility and each and every one of you are far more aware of your own abilities than I am. Plus, the worst that can happen is that I say no, I will never just say no I will explain myself, but there will be no consequences for trying to make a suggestion."
Getting more smiles from the women I take a breath. "Okay, our next jump is going to be to Highschool of the Dead." I say, tapping a command into the display to pull up a brief review of the anime. "This is going to be a zombie apocalypse centered around a group of high school students who are lucky enough to survive. We are going to be arriving at an indeterminate time before everything happens so we need to get some work done before then. First, I'll be removing a detriment to society, a teacher at Fujimi High School by the name of Koichi Shido. This guy is a real piece of work, he blatantly uses his family ties to harass female students and more than likely staff as well. With any luck I'll be able to fill any staffing position left by his sudden departure, thereby placing me front and center for a plot." As I speak I pull up some of the source images for the waste of oxygen named Koichi Shido, as well as some pertinent information.
Seeing the disgusted looks my girls were showing I continue. "Since we have no real way to know how long it will be until the outbreak, here's my recommendations for you girls: first Robin, if you want you could come down with me and we could see about getting you into the staff as a biology teacher." I say, looking at the woman in question. "I'm not sure if you want to get a day job for this jump, but if not then you can always stay on the ship until the next jump, there will be a ridiculous amount of xenobiology to go over."
The lanky woman looked down in thought for a moment before looking up to meet my gaze. "I'll hold off until next time, as boring as the ship is, it's preferable to dealing with teenagers." She responded with reluctance.
Nodding to acknowledge her, I shifted my gaze to Kuroko and Doppel. "I don't have anything specific for the two of you, so I'd appreciate it if you could take some time to settle in. This jump is really just going to be an extraction mission once everything kicks off and there's no need for you guys to get your feet wet on something so… easy is the most accurate word I suppose." I say getting a slightly dejected look from the women in question before they each gave a nod of assent.
"Kasumi," I said, turning to the thief. "This time I want you here to be our contingency plan. You're the only other person who's seen real battle, with the exception of Serina, but she doesn't count because she's only recently come into touch with her physical mortality and hasn't been in the thick of it." I explain before looking at the AI. "No offense."
"None taken," she replied. "You've only stated facts."
Nodding along with her, Kasumi spoke as well. "Yeah it's not exactly rocket science to know that you need a backup plan for when everything inevitably goes to shit."
"Serina, I need you to keep the ship behind the moon and nearby so that you don't have to high-tail it across the solar system for support once the outbreak starts. In the meantime, I want you to start tagging any holdings of raw materials that we can make use of in our own buildup, also look for any NATO bases, while the weapons themselves are antiquated by our standard, the ammunition is all chambered the same. Other than ammunition focus on food and medical supplies, it's always better to have a surplus of those items than not enough."
Getting a salute from the AI I look around. "Any questions?" Receiving none I look to Serina. "Give me a shipwide broadcast."
After a nod from the Burnett AI I spoke. "Attention all hands, prepare for jump." As I watched the bridge crew buckle themselves into their stations I pull up the jump menu and select our next destination.
CONFIRM DESTINATION
HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD (BEFORE Z-DAY)
CONFIRM?
YES/NO
Looking at my companions one last time I got a series of nods, I took a deep breath, pressed the yes, and everything went white.
Different plane of reality
The Archdeity of Eternity sat watching his new entertainment with a bored expression. His entertainment was playing things too safe, and too smart.
I need to find a way to make this far more enjoyable. The Supreme Being thought to himself. While I could just drop him into the tier 4 instance of HotD… no, he would just move his plan forward. Maybe I could… Allowing that particular thought to trail off he smiled. "That would be very entertaining."
A/N
Okay so we're done with Monster Musume, and moving on to Highschool of the Dead, however there seems to be something in the works to make all of Fred's plans moot.
Not much else to say here, thanks for your continued support.
