Shadow Joestarchapter 6 . Aug 14: 1) Yeah, having him unlock Full Cowling early is needed for what's to come. 2) Finding the Dragon Balls will be a great experience for them.
Aztec 13 chapter 6 . Aug 14: 1) I can't for the dragon ball hunt to start either. Oh, believe me, Tekkan was holding back against Izuku (at 10% Full Cowling with limited Ki control) lol. But it wouldn't be training if the Saiyan didn't fight back
ᕙ(•‿•)ᕗTHANK YOU EVERYONE FOR GETTING THIS TO 1K VIEWS! NEXT MILESTONE: 10K VIEWS!
February 16th-7:55 a.m.-U.A. High School-
Two weeks had passed since their intense training at Capsule Corp, and Tekkan stood before the gates of U.A. High School.
He had arrived five minutes early for the U.A. Recommendation Entrance Exam. Unfortunately, Izuku didn't receive a recommendation like him, so he couldn't join Tekkan on this test.
Dressed in his junior high uniform, the Saiyan observed the bustling scene around him as various middle school students walked by.
Tekkan's phone buzzed for the fifth time that morning as he pulled it out and opened it. He took a minute to view all those who wished him the best for this morning's exam.
Bulma: (7:30 a.m.) Good luck, little bro! Show them what you're made of!
Pops: (7:00 a.m.) Best of luck on your exam, my boy. We all believe in you!
Mom: (7:00 a.m.) Wishing you all the best son! Have fun out there.
Tights: (6:50 a.m.) You've got this, Tekkan! Ace this test!
All Might: (6:40 a.m.) Young Tekkan, go beyond your limits! Show U.A. what you're capable of!
Izuku: (6:00 a.m.) Teks, you've trained hard for this exam. Maybe even harder than me. So give it all you got.
A smile formed on his face as he replied to each of them, expressing his gratitude. With a final glance at his phone, he pocketed it, ready to focus on the task ahead.
Chapter 7 -Two Start Lines
As Tekkan made his way through the crowd of students, he accidentally bumped into someone, causing them both to stumble slightly.
His eyes met those of a curvy girl with light brown skin and a fit, athletic build. Her long, dark purple hair flowed in loose waves down past her waist, a beauty mark under her right eye, and her amber-colored eyes were mixed with surprise and amusement.
"A-Are you okay," The teenage Saiyan stammered at the unexpected encounter. He noticed that she had a thick six-foot-long furry tail that matched her hair color, long and flowed just like her locks.
"No worries. Happens in a crowded place like this," she reassures warmly. The dark purple-haired teen wore a white blouse, a dark purple skirt, knee-high socks, a red tie, and a grey backpack.
Feeling relieved by her response, the spiky-haired alien decided to introduce himself. "I'm Tekkan, nice to meet you," he said with a friendly smile.
The dark-purple-haired teen bowed to him. "I'm Zyra Nicolas, nice to meet you too," she replied.
"Are you here for the U.A. Recommendation Entrance Exam too?" The spiky-haired alien asked, hoping to strike up a conversation.
Zyra nodded, her smile turning into a determined grin. "You bet! I've been working hard for this opportunity. How about you?"
"I received a recommendation, so I thought I'd give it a shot," Tekkan replied with a shrug.
Her eyes lit up with admiration. "That's impressive! You must have some serious skills to get a recommendation. I'm here on my own merits, but I'm determined to prove myself," she said.
Tekkan appreciated her being straightforward. "You seem like you've got what it takes. Let's both give it our best shot," he smirked.
"Absolutely! I mean, two start lines, one destination, am I right?" Zyra replied.
The two candidates stood side by side as they walked through the doors. They scanned the lobby and spotted a nearby wall map as they entered.
"Let's see," The teenage Saiyan said, squinting at the map. "The auditorium should be this way."
The dark-purple teen nodded, her long purple hair swaying as she moved. "Great, let's head there then," she replied, stepping beside Tekkan.
As they walked together, Zyra couldn't help but lean closer to him, taking a subtle sniff. "You smell interesting," she remarked.
Tekkan blinked, not expecting that comment. "Uh, thanks, I guess?" he responded.
Zyra chuckled at his confusion. "Don't worry, it's not a bad thing," she explained. "But did you know that a person's Quirk can sometimes affect their natural body odor?"
Tekkan blinked. "No, I had no idea."
"Yeah. It's just something I've noticed being around different people, which is how you have a primal scent. Speaking of, what's your Quirk?" The dark purple-haired teen asked.
Being Quirkless, Tekkan decided to state what he could do as a Ki wielder. "Oh, I can draw out my inner energy to enhance my physical power. But tell me, does that relate to your Quirk?"
The Saiyan pointed at the necklace hanging around her neck. The dark purple-haired teen gently touched it. "Yeah, it does." She replied. "It's a reminder of my past."
Zyra then glanced at her right hand and held it up for Tekkan to see. "Check this out."
Her fingers elongated slightly in an instant, with her purple-painted nails sharpened into claws, and her hand increased muscle mass.
"My Quirk is called 'Lycan Shifter.' Let me tap into werewolf-like powers selectively." She explained as she deactivated her Quirk and reverted her right hand to normal.
The spiky-haired alien was impressed. "A real-life werewolf, huh? That Quirk has some serious potential."
Zyra smiled at his compliment. "Thanks! It's taken a lot of training to control it. But it has its perks, especially during certain times of the month." She joked, making the teenage Saiyan snort.
Two Minutes Later-
"At least we're on time." They finally arrived at the auditorium. The sign outside indicated that it was the location for the 'Recommended Exam Orientation.'
"Looks like we're in the right place," The spiky-haired alien said, standing before double doors.
The Lycan Quirk User pointed a thumb toward the doors. "Let's see what they have in store for us."
Both teens walked inside the large lecture room and moved toward the front rows, where most students sat.
The teens took off their bags and sat down as the Saiyan glanced at the rest of the recommended candidates in his row. "Didn't think there would be this many in the same course," he whispered.
Zyra, who sat on his right side, nodded. "It seems like the competition is going to be tough. No sweat," she whispered and remained focused. They both noticed their seats, and the others had blank test booklets on their foldable tabletops.
The headlights were shut off before the stage lights lit up. A massive flat screen was shown with U.A.'s logo.
A tall, slim man walks on the podium with long, spiky blonde hair, a little mustache, and sunglasses sported a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" on the headband. He's wearing a black jacket with an upturned collar and studs. He sports a tan with studded shoulder pads, black pants with a red belt, black boots, and black fingerless gloves. His neck conceals a directional speaker.
"Welcome to the U.A. Recommendations Entrance Exam! Your staring at this school's D.J.!" Present Mic greets them all.
"Now, this exam has a written test, practical test, and an interview all in one package, folks!" He stated before his audience.
"The written test will take two hours, so take as many breaks as needed! Any questions!?"
The room buzzed with anticipation as the candidates processed the information. The Saiyan raised his hand, catching Present Mic's attention.
"Yes, you there! What's your question?" Present Mic asked, pointing toward Tekkan.
Tekkan stood up, speaking with a confident voice. "Will the practical test and interview occur right after the written test?"
Present Mic nodded in acknowledgment of the question." That's correct, young hero! Once the two-hour written test concludes, we will proceed with the practical test and interview stages. So be prepared to showcase your skills and personality!"
The spiky-haired alien sat back down, his mind racing about the upcoming challenges.
"Right now, get rockin' on those tests in front of you! But no cheating, this is a hero course so I'll be keeping a groovy eye on everyone here! Your time begins… RIGHT NOW!"
The monitor switched to the countdown clock, and the rest of the students, including Tekkan, flipped over their tests, opened their booklets, and started.
The spiky-haired alien's 'CC' pen moved across the paper as he began to answer each question.
One Hour and Fifty-Two Minutes Later-
"And that's done." Having already triple-checked his answers, he flipped his test over.
The Saiyan quietly pulls out a large energy bar he brought from his backpack. He takes a few bites, fueling himself up. "Mhm…nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and bits of honey."
He couldn't help but feel a little anxious to move on to the practical portion. After all, the written test was pretty easy for him, and he was the first student to finish.
"But wow, this is tasty," he continued munching on his energy bar. He looked to see the dark-purple-haired girl focusing on her test, so he let her be.
Eight Minutes Later-
"Alright, young heroes! Great job on the written test. Now it's time to switch gears for the practical and interview phases!" Present Mic announced with his signature enthusiasm.
The candidates listened attentively as the Voice Quirk user explained the next steps after finishing their written tests.
Tekkan quickly finished the last few energy bar bites as he patted the crumbs off his hands.
"Head to the locker rooms and change into comfortable clothes suitable for your Quirks. We'll begin rockin' out in Battle Center D! Meet me outside by the bus to get going!" he instructed.
With that, the candidates filed out of the auditorium, excitement and nerves mingling within them.
Boy's Locker Room-
Inside, Tekkan and a few dozen other boys changed into more suitable clothes. The Saiyan put his backpack inside a locker and slowly began to take off his junior high uniform. He stuffed it in the locker, too, and locked it with his key, feeling a sense of nostalgia.
"I can't believe how far I've come since my days at junior high," Tekkan thought to himself. "It's been quite a journey."
Standing in just blue boxers, he pulled out his blue gi, now neatly repaired. "Good and new."
In less than a minute, he was dressed in the familiar outfit. "Maybe it's time to give it a heroic makeover later this month," he pondered.
With his gi securely fastened, Tekkan exited the locker room and headed toward the others.
"Let's do this," he whispered to himself.
Ten Minutes Later-Battle Center D-
Four large buses stopped in front of a massive gate. The candidates exited the bus, admiring the Battle Center before them. Each of them has a random number sticker stamped on their chest.
"Rock on! Now that the written part of the exam is over, the practical starts now, and finally, the interview!" The Present announces as the gate opens up.
"You'll go six at a time for the practical, get step-in when you're number called. The exam will be a three-kilometer race, but it's an obstacle course, so you can't just run straight throught it. Use your Quirks to reach the finish." The Voice Quirk User concludes.
The pro hero pulls out his phone and calls out the first racers. "Numbers 1, 12, 23, 16, 36, 41! Your up first!"
Being #1, Tekkan walked over to the start line, taking a deep breath and his mind focused. The Saiyan stood with one foot slightly ahead of the other, ready to go.
To his left side is Zrya, who is #12 and is now dressed in a tight purple tank top, black leggings, and silver sneakers. Her hair is tied up in a ponytail as she crouches low on all fours, her body tense and ready to pounce with her tail swishing back and forth.
"Time for Lycan Mode" The dark purple-haired teen then activated her Quirk, and her eyes turned a vibrant shade of blue as her claws extended from her fingertips and her ears were pointed upwards. Her entire body's muscle mass grew slightly as she felt her power surging.
Next to her was #23, which was a red and white-haired teen. He wore a white t-shirt, an unzipped black jacket, matching pants, and shoes. His left eye's iris appears turquoise, while his right is a brownish-dark grey. Yet, his icy gaze focused ahead as he adopted a relaxed yet confident stance. His left hand was slightly raised, ready to go too. "Let's get this over with already."
Beside him was #16, who stood there with a smirk on her face. Her dark green hair cascaded just below her shoulders, and her large, upturned dusky green eyes gleamed. She wore a sleeveless top with a lizard-scale design in various shades of green, paired with purple leggings and matching shoes.
Her left shoulder stands at #36, which is Momo. She opted for a crimson sports bra with a silver lining, crimson shorts, and training shoes. She was composed and collected and stood with one hand on her hip, her other arm slightly raised.
The last racer was a tall, well-built young teen in front of him with buzzed, dark brown hair and black eyes. He dressed in a light blue tracksuit as #41. "This is it. The best hero school in Japan." He thought, cracking his knuckles with a grin.
They all were in starting positions, waiting for the signal to begin. The pro hero raises his hand, and a hush falls over the crowd. With a loud and enthusiastic voice, he yells, "Ready, set, G.O.!
In a few seconds, the buzzer blares, and the racers shoot forward with determination in their eyes.
The first obstacle was an actual roller coaster with a chain of carts that moved along the twisting and turning tracks.
As the roller coaster took off, Tekkan adjusted his body with every sharp turn and dip, smoothly navigating the coaster's path.
"Hang on tight, everyone! This is gonna be a wild ride!" He shouted back to warn the others.
"This is nothing! I've got this!" Zrya gripped the sides of a cart she was on and balanced effortlessly as the coaster zoomed through the course.
The red and white-haired teen used the Half Cold side of his Quirk to create a layer of frost on a cart's seat, providing him with a stable surface to sit on and keep his balance. "Just keep going, Shoto." He reassures himself.
The dark green-haired teen showcased her Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk, spiting her body into a few dozen pieces and levitating each piece through the course. "This will be a breeze, Setsuna!"
The Creation Quirk user creates handles and support bars, ensuring a secure grip on a moving cart. "Steady, Momo."
The Whirlwind Quirk user, however, laughs heartily as he sits in a cart. Embracing the ride as he manipulates the wind currents around the coaster, adding to the thrill.
"This is awesome! WOO HOO!" He screamed out, waving his hands in joy.
As they reached the end of the roller coaster ride, the racers leaped out of the carts, moving on to the next challenge. A massive ramp that went up at a steep angle.
"Focus my Ki," Tekkan sprang into action. His aura busted into his legs, allowing him to leap up the ramp quickly. He landed at the top with a front flip, dispersing his energy.
"No obstacle can slow me down!" The dark purple-haired teen yelled out as she ran up the ramp and used her claws to grip the surface to move.
The dual Quirk user created a series of ice steps to climb the ramp. "Focus, Shoto."
Setsuna continues onward by forming a vortex of her pieces upward. "Ain't nothing stopping me."
"Spring into action, Momo!" She took a different approach and used her Quirk to create a pair of lightweight, spring-loaded shoes. With each step, she propelled herself higher up the ramp.
The dark brown-haired teen summoned gusts of wind to push himself upward. He maintained balance as he soared up to the top. "Winds, lift me up!" He exclaimed.
As they reached the top of the wall, the racers found themselves on rocky terrain with jagged rocks and uneven ground.
The Saiyan ran through the landscape, maneuvering through potential dangers with flips, rolls, and jumps. "Need to stay alert!" He reminded himself.
The Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk user's floating pieces were small enough to fit through the narrow openings to maneuver through the cave.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user navigates the rocky terrain, leaping off rocks with her claws for extra traction. "This terrain is perfect for me!" She whispered with a smirk.
Shoto created temporary ice platforms, making it easier to traverse the rocky terrain. "Ice my path forward." He thought calmly but with focus.
Momo created pressure plates as stepping stones to navigate throught the rocky terrain.
The Whirlwind Quirk floated above the rocky ground, avoiding potential obstacles. "Keep going Inasa!" He said as he soared in the air.
They encountered a sandstone castle with explosive traps, such as landmines, as they continued through the course.
Tekkan made his way up the castle by dashing up the stair railings, and Zrya stuck her claws in the outer walls and climbed up.
Momo quickly used her Quirk to create a riot shield, protecting herself from the explosions to go throught.
Shoto formed a protective ice barrier, shielding himself from any explosions. His icy gaze remained focused. "My Quirk will protect me."
Setsuna moved her pieces out of range of the surrounding traps and flew past danger.
The Whirlwind Quirk user created wind currents, dispersing the explosions before they could harm him. "Blast off!" He yelled out excitement with a simile.
The racers then faced a tall mountain-like hill connected to another via a thin wooden bridge.
The spiky-haired alien sprinted across the rope, ensuring it didn't snap. "The bridge should hold up for the others." He hoped as he front-flipped to the end of it and continued running.
"Can't fall behind that guy." Inasa propelled himself past the bridge, soaring upward with energy to spare.
Zrya jogged across the thin rope bridge but carefully did her best not to snap it too. Sweat drips down her face while she tries not to look down, afraid of falling. "Don't look down, DON'T look down, DON'T LOOK DOWN!"
The dual Quirk user chose to manifest trails of ice on which he could surf toward the other racers."Too easy…" He scoffed.
The Creation Quirk user also chose to walk across the bridge, wanting to conserve her strength.
The dark-green-haired teen split apart again and flew past the bridge, reaching the other side quickly.
After the challenging cross, they entered a mini-forest filled with dense foliage.
The teenage Saiyan could detect obstacles ahead as he ducked under low branches and ran around the trees. "Stay low and watch for branches." He muttered as he reeled back his right arm, balled his fist, and easily punched through a tree in his way.
The dark purple-haired teen nimbly swung from branches, leaped, and flipped over fallen logs."Swing and leap, easy."
The dual Quirk user clears a path through the forest with numerous ice waves. He maintained a steady pace, focusing on the race ahead. "Finishing this is all that matters."
Setsuna skillfully directed her pieces by flying above the forest to travel across it better.
Momo utilized her Quirk to create a glide suit to travel over the treetops. She was able to avoid any potential obstacles. "As long as I don't crash, I'll be fine."
Inasa used his Quirk to lift himself over the obstacles. He soared above the trees, his infectious enthusiasm driving him forward. " I believe that I can fly. "
As they emerged from the forest, they encountered a small cave that required them to squeeze through narrow openings.
The Whirlwind Quir user glided effortlessly through the cave with ease.
The spiky-haired alien pushed through the narrow openings, contorting his body and maneuvering through the cave. "Squeeze through, Teks!"
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user navigates through the cave's tight spaces, relying on her enhanced sense and flexibility to guide her through the darkness."Wriggle through and press on!"
The Creation Quirk user wore a set of black night vision goggles to see through the cave's darkness. She kept her eyes on the path ahead as she ran. "At least now I can see where I'm going."
As they emerged from the cave, they faced a breathtaking waterfall cascading down a large lake.
Tekkan looked down and realized that jumping straight down wasn't wise. "I think I know what to do." He smirked and crouched down. He swings his tail in a circle fast enough to hover him a few feet in the air. He then controlled his descent down past the waterfall."Just like a helicopter!" He thought, smiling.
Zrya did a backflip down the waterfall and dived into the massive lake. She jumped out, shaking her hair clear of water, and continued running. "I'll give that a eight out of ten."
The dual Quirk user created an ice slide to surf down the waterfall's surface. "This won't stop me."
"Here goes nothing!" Inasa took the challenge and floated effortlessly down the water's edge. He kept his balance while enjoying the experience.
The Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk user followed suit and descended the stream of water.
Momo strapped on a parachute and jumped down the waterfall. She deployed it at the last minute, descending down and over its lake before taking it off and running forward.
The exhaustion from the intense race began to set in as they approached the final pathway leading straight to the finishing line.
"Finish line, here I come!" Tekkan surged forward with a final burst of speed while maintaining his energy as sweat dripped down his face.
He turned his head around to see Shoto stacking ice shards behind his back to propel himself him after him. Inasa was right on his back, and he couldn't help but praise his method of travel.
"He's been using ice to increase his speed since the start. That's smart. But I really didn't like the look in his eyes. But his abilities are on fire! He'll probably be accepted after this. Maybe I can become friends with him, and his eyes won't bother me anymore!" The dark-brown-haired teen hoped, increasing his wind burst to fly faster.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user behind him pushed through the fatigue and continued running. "Almost there, just a bit more!" She panted out, sweat rolling down her body.
Tekkan then slowed down and front-rolled to cross the finishing line. Shoto and Inasa are evenly matched until the latter barely scratches the finish line second with his feet stretched out, touching the mark.
"Wowza! Number 1 finishes by a mile! And Number 41 finishes second by a hair." Present Mic reveals with a stop-watch app on his phone.
The Saiyan slid to a stop past the finishing line, followed by Zrya, Momo, and Setsuna as they crossed one after the other, each showing a mix of exhaustion and satisfaction.
He sighs and wipes the dirt off the legging of his gi. "That was fun while it lasted." He mutters as he sees Zrya panting hard, taking a knee, and reverting to her base form.
"Guess that transformation takes a lot outta her." The Saiyan walked up to her and offered a hand. The dark purple-haired teen looked up at him and took it to pull herself up.
Tekkan congratulated Zrya on her performance. "You were incredible, Zrya."
She wiped the sweat off her forehead and nodded back. "T-Thanks, Tekkan. Y-You weren't bad yourself!" She said, trying to catch her breath. "But damn, that was draining."
"Alright! I got second! But who knows what next time." They both turn to see Inasa cheering himself in delight with fists raised. He then turned to the spiky-haired alien.
"You were awesome out there! Whatever your Quirk is must be insanely powerful to outrun all of us!" The WhirldWind Quirk user holds out a right fist to him. "Name's Inasa Yoarashi."
Tekkan chuckles and grins. "Thanks, I go by Tekkan." He fist-bumped him back. "And congrats to you, Inasa. It's not every day someone can semi keep up with me."
The dark brown-haired teen laughed back. "I'll remember that next time we race. See ya!"
He then walks up to Shoto. "You were amazing too! I'm guessing you must be Endeavor's kid, am I right? That's so aweso-"
"Shut up!" The latter coldly remarks, refutes him, not even bothering to look at the Whirlwind Quirk User.
"I just came here to pass this stupid test, that's all. I don't care if I beat you and that other guy or not, so give it a rest."
This surprises Inasa at receiving this cold response, "You're in the way." Shoto finishes, eyes filled with hatred as he walks away.
Tekkan approached the dark brown-haired teen who had been dismissed and stood beside him, offering a friendly smile.
"Don't mind him. Some people are just in their own world," he said, trying to ease the tension.
This caused him to glance at Tekkan, grateful for his words. "Yeah, you're right. I guess I was a bit too excited." He admitted.
Nearby, Momo sluggishly walked up to Zrya, who was already exhausted from the race and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, Zrya, are you alright?" she asked with concern.
The dark purple-haired girl gives her a weak simile. "Yeah, just peachy," she replied. To her, Momo had a sweet floral scent that her nose picked up. "She smells nice..."
The Creation Quirk user nodded, her own breath heavy. "That obstacle course was intense. You did an amazing job out there."
"Thanks." Zrya nodded. "It really pushed me to my limits, but I'm glad I made it through. But your Quirk was amazing too."
"Hey, girls! Great job out there," Setsuna walked up to them with her body reassembled.
"Oh, by the way, I'm Setsuna Tokage," she introduced herself, extending a hand toward them and similes.
The other girls stood up and took turns shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you, Tokage," Momo said politely.
The dark-purple-haired teen chuckled lightly. "Yeah, you were awesome out there. That split-body thing you did was mind-blowing!" Setsuna also smelled exotic and earthy. "Almost like a lizard..."
The dark green teen nodded gratefully. "Thank you! It's called the Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk. It comes in handy for maneuvering through tricky obstacles.
The Creation Quirk user's curiosity got the better of her, and she asked, "How do you control so many pieces at once? It must require a lot of focus and precision."
Setsuna nodded, appreciating the interest in her Quirk. "Well, it does take a lot of practice and concentration. Trained for years to be able to split my body into so many pieces and control them individually. It can be challenging, but it's also a lot of fun."
Zrya was impressed. "Well, it definitely paid off. You made it look effortless out there!"
The Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk user grins. "Thanks, but your Quirks were just as awesome!"
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user shrugged. "Yeah, but it's room for improvement."
Regaining their stamina, the six continued watching the other recommended peers complete the course.
Four Hours Later-Auditorium-
After the practical exam, the students returned to the campus, changed into their previous clothes, and sat back in the large lecture room.
Present Mic took the stage once more to reveal the final part of the exam. "This is the last part of the exam! Our very own Principal will conduct the interview! Once the interview is done, you're free to go," he said with a smile.
He paused momentarily and glanced at some of the anxious faces in the audience before adding, "Most it will take is five minutes, and I can already see that most of you wanna bail right after!"
The Voice Quirk user then pulled out his phone and read who was getting interviewed first. "Shoto Todoroki! You're up first!" he announced.
The dual Quirk User walked out, wearing a uniform similar to Tekkan's with a gray messenger bag.
The last students were either chattering or trying to calm their nerves before seeing the Principal.
But even in the auditorium, Tekkan found a small empty space where he could do some light stretches and shadowboxing. Along with some basic martial arts movements and practiced channeling his Ki discreetly.
Zrya and Setsuna struck up conversations with the other recommended students around them, curious to hear from others how the written and practicals went. The latter wore a white blouse with a high collar, a sleeveless dark blue vest with gold trimmings, a dark blue skirt, knee-high blue socks, and black shoes.
Momo pulled a small notebook and pen from her bag, and while waiting, she took the time to jot down her observations and noted areas to improve on.
Inasa found ways to entertain himself and others nearby. He started practicing controlling the wind currents around him to make random papers fly gently around the room to amuse others.
3:10 p.m.- Principal's Office-
The Saiyan stood in front of the Principal's office, ready to see him. With a deep breath, he turned the doorknob and walked in.
He was greeted by the unique sight of U.A.'s Principal, who was perched behind a custom-made large desk that accommodated his size.
He wore a black double-breasted waistcoat, matching dress slacks, a white dress shirt, a dark crimson tie knotted on his neck, and a pair of bright orange lace-up sneakers, which looked somewhat enormous.
The office itself was a blend of practicality and charm. Bookshelves lined the walls with numerous volumes on heroics, laws, and other relevant subjects. Additional shelves were filled with trinkets and souvenirs. A large map of Japan hung prominently on one wall, dotted with markers indicating various hero agencies and significant locations.
On the desk was an organized array of documents, a few plates of cookies, and a cup of tea. A small, round plush cushion rested on the edge of the desk, and Tekkan noticed that it had tiny, rounded ears that resembled the Principal's own.
However, he quickly refocused on why he was there – the interview. The head of U.A. greeted the spiky-haired alien warmly. "Ah, you must be Tekkan Brief, am I right?"
"Yes, sir," Tekkan replied respectfully.
Principal Nezu gestured to a chair across from his desk. "Please, have a seat." He couldn't help but notice the Saiyan's tail swaying behind him.
Tekkan complied, using his tail to put his bag beside him, and sat down. He kept his back straight and his hands resting on his knees.
"Now, Brief, I couldn't help but notice your tail. It's quite an interesting feature," Principal Nezu remarked.
The teenage Saiyan chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head.
"Yeah, it's kind of a mystery to me too. I don't really know how I have it. You see, I was adopted by the Briefs of Capsule Corp when I was a baby. I don't know anything about my birth parents, so I don't know if they had tails like me."
U.A.'s Principal nodded, understanding the situation. "I see. Adoption can often lead to unanswered questions about one's origins."
Tekkan smiled at that. "But I can assure you, sir, that my tail won't hinder my performance as a hero. If anything, it's always been like an extra limb that I couldn't live without."
"I have no doubt that you will make the most of your abilities, Brief. But now, let's talk more about your Quirk," Principal Nezu said.
"Well, my power is based on controlling my energy. I can manipulate my energy to enhance my physical abilities and perform powerful attacks." He answered truthfully.
U.A.'s Principal nodded. "Mhm, you don't say? That sounds quite versatile and powerful. Could you demonstrate it for me?" He asked.
"I guess it couldn't a demonstration can't hurt." The Saiyan focused momentarily as a thin white aura surrounded his body.
Then he dispersed it. "This lets me greatly enhance my abilities to a large degree."
Principal Nezu was impressed at his display. "Impressive indeed, Tekkan. Your Quirk shows great potential. Tell me, why do you want to become a hero?"
The Saiyan's eyes sparkled with determination as he replied, "I want to be a hero who can fight the battles no one else can for the greater good. But, most importantly, I want to be a hero who never stops getting stronger and always surpasses his limits.
U.A.'s Principal listened attentively and nodded. "A noble aspiration indeed. Perseverance and the drive to grow stronger are vital traits for a hero. Let me ask you, Brief, what do you think sets you apart from other hero candidates?"
The spiky-haired alien paused before answering. "I believe what sets me apart is what I've lived through. I've faced challenges in my life that have tested my limits, but I never back down. I'm always willing to learn and grow, and I believe with my power, I can push myself to be what I need to be.
Pleased with his response, Principal Nezu nodded. "Your mindset and determination will undoubtedly be valuable assets in the hero world. I'm quite pleased with your statements, Brief.
"Whew." He sighed internally in relief, glad he had made a good impression on him. "Thank you, sir," he said gratefully.
U.A.'s Prinicpal leaned forward and smiled. "Brief, I see great potential in you. I believe that you have the qualities of a true hero. If you are accepted into U.A. High School, I have no doubt that you will significantly impact the world, not just here in Japan."
Principal Nezu stood up from his chair. "The faculty and I will carefully consider all the candidates, and you will receive the results in due course. Regardless of the outcome, I encourage you to continue pursuing your dreams and honing your abilities."
Knowing this interview was finished, Tekkan flashed a wide smile. "I will, sir. Thank you for this opportunity." He said, standing up and bowing before him.
Tekkan walked up to him and offered a hand out to him as Principal Nezu shook it back, smiling at each other. He then grabbed his bag with his tail and slung it over his shoulders.
"Have a good day." The spiky-haired alien wished to him before leaving out the door.
Two Minutes Later-Front Entrance-
There was a gentle breeze outside with the sun still shining bright. Tekkan stepped out after his interview, but he was pleasantly surprised to see Zrya alongside Momo, waiting by the U.A. gates.
Zrya looked a bit tired, leaning against the fence with her phone in her right hand and the other on her hip, while Momo stood more composed, humming a song to herself.
"Hey, Zyra your still here?" Tekkan asked, surprised.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user looked up at him and gave a weak chuckle. "Yeah, felt like forever waiting for you. So, how'd your interview go?"
"It went well, I think," Tekkan smiled. "Principal Nezu seemed interested in my motivates and power."
Zrya grinned and decided to introduce Momo to Tekkan, knowing they hadn't met before.
"Tekkan, this is Momo Yaoyorozu. She's one of the recommended students who race us," She said, gesturing toward the Creation Quirk user.
Momo walks up to him and bows politely. "Nice to meet you, Brief. Zrya has mentioned you before," and then offers a hand.
The spiky-haired alien shook it back, returning her smile. "The pleasure's mine."
As they let go, he couldn't help but notice the similarities between Momo's hair and his own. "Your hair... it's almost like mine," he remarked and pointed it out.
She touched her own hair, slightly surprised. "You're right. It does. have some similarities. Though yours is much spikier and vibrant."
Tekkan chuckled, running a hand through his spiky locks. "Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just a funny coincidence, I suppose."
"Also, you don't mind if I call you Momo, right? I go by first names with a lot of people." The Saiyan asked.
She nodded. "You can me that. Besides, my friends usually would call me by my first name anyway."
"By the way, I was a bit preoccupied with my own thing during the practical exam. What's your Quirk?" He asked.
"My quirk is called 'Creation.' I can create objects from my body as long as I understand the molecular structure of the item and have the necessary fat cells in my body to create it," Momo explained with an index finger up.
The eager Sayian asked her to reveal it. "Can you show me?"
The dark-haired teen nodded. She extended both her hands as a rainbow-colored light flashed on her palms. She focuses her thoughts on creating something simple. Within seconds, two custom Russian matryoshka dolls landed in her palms.
The teenage Saiyan's eyes widened. "You created that doll so effortlessly. Your Quirk is genuinely remarkable," he complimented.
Momo's cheeks flushed slightly, but she replied modesty. "Thank you. I've trained hard to master my Quirk and make it as efficient as possible."
"Speaking of those dolls, do they have any significance?" Zrya asked with an eyebrow raised.
Momo's face lit up with a small smile. She presented the nesting dolls to them. "I thought it would be a nice to give one to you both. Each doll represents one of you, and I custom-made them to resemble your appearances."
Tekkan and Zrya exchanged curious glances before examining the dolls. The one on the right resembled Tekkan, had spiky hair and vibrant blue eyes, and was wearing a miniature version of his current uniform.
The left one, resembling Zrya, had wolf-like features with pointy ears and a toothy grin adorned in a miniature version of her uniform.
The Lycan Quirk gently tapped the nesting dolls. "Wow, they really do look like us! You're quite talented, Momo."
Tekkan nodded. "Absolutely! Thanks!"
"Glad you both like them," Momo replied, smiling as they took their dolls in their arms.
The dark-purple-haired teen raised her phone, waving it. It has a black and purple design with a moon pattern on the back cover and silver accents all over it.
"By the way, Tekkan, Yoarashi had to leave early, so he couldn't stick around to give you his number. But I've got it, and if you want, I can share it with you along with mine." she offered.
The spiky-haired alien nodded, appreciating the offer. "That would be great! Thanks, Zrya."
Momo nodded, chiming in. "I'll do the same! Here's my number, Tekkan. Along with Tokage, the other girl that raced us earlier." Her phone has a red cover with gold and black accents covering it.
Zrya shared her and Inasa's contact directly with Tekkan, while Momo followed suit and exchanged her number and Setsuna's with the other teens.
Suddenly, they looked toward the entrance with anticipation. "Oh, my ride should be here any moment now."
The other teens raised an eyebrow at each other. To their surprise, a sleek silver limo honked its horn at the school gates.
Zrya's eyes widened in shock."A limo? You're getting picked up in that?!" She asked in amazement.
Momo shrugged. "It's a bit extravagant, but it's convenient, I suppose."
The limo driver got out to open the door. He was a middle-aged man with neatly combed salt-and-pepper hair and a friendly smile. He wore a crisp black chauffeur's uniform too.
But the dark purple-haired teen looked at the Saiyan, realizing something.
"Wait, how are you getting home, Tekkan?" She wondered.
He smirked confidently. "I'm just gonna run back home. It's in another city, but it's good exercise for me. And if I get tired, I'll just call an Uber."
"Why am I not surprised." Zrya chuckled, genuinely amused.
As Momo said her goodbyes and got into the limo, she turned back to her friends, waving at them. "Goodbye, you two! Let's talk later!"
"Bye, Momo!" Zrya called out and waved at her.
"Have a safe ride, Momo!" Tekkan added with a smile.
Zrya couldn't help but feel awe and surprise as the limo drove away. "Still can't believe Momo rides in a limo! She's really from a rich family, huh?"
"Yeah, it seems that way," The spiky-haired alien replied, still a bit amused. "But hey, it's cool to know all sorts of people with different backgrounds here at U.A."
Zrya nodded in agreement. "Definitely. Well, I better head to my bus stop now. I'll text you when I get back home." She raised a fist at him, smiling.
"I hope you do," Tekkan smiled back and returned her with a fist bump. "We're friends now, right?"
The dark purple-haired teen started walking away but not before saying. "Duh!" She then disappeared down the street out of his sight.
Tekkan then began his journey back home by jumping up to the roof of the nearest building en route back home. He couldn't help but feel grateful for the new friends he had made at U.A. without being an official student yet.
As he was running, he remembered his green-haired friend, whom he hadn't returned to since this morning. The Saiyan pulled out his phone to text him with his free arm. "Yeah, Izuku got this."
One Week Later-Capsule Corp- 5:00 p.m.-
Tekkan was in his room finalizing this project that took him a few days to finish.
Before him was a detailed blueprint spread out on his desk for his hero costume. With an intense gaze, he studied the blueprint, going through each detail to ensure that this was what he wanted.
"Yep, this will do…" With a satisfied nod, he carefully rolled up the blueprint and closed it with a rubber band.
Just as he was about to stow away the blueprint, a knock at his door interrupted his thoughts. He blinked, a little surprised, and walked over to open it. Standing in the doorway was Bulma, wearing her casual attire.
"Hey, lil bro," she greeted with a warm smile.
"Oh, hey sis. What's up?" Tekkan inquired curiously.
The blue-haired woman handed him a white envelope with a red sticker sealing it. On the back of it was the 'U.A.' symbol. "This arrived for you. It's from U.A.," she explained.
The Saiyan took it from her and offered a thankful smile. "Thanks, I'll take a look at it."
"No problem. If you need anything, just let me know," she said, patting his right shoulder before closing the door behind her.
With the envelope in hand, Tekkan returned to his desk and sat in his chair. He opened it carefully, revealing a small holographic projector.
He became intrigued as the device activated on its own. A light flashed on as Principal Nezu's holographic image appeared before him. He seems to be sitting in his office during the recording with his hands clasped together.
"Good day, Tekkan Brief. I hope you're well," Principal Nezu began.
"Wait, the principal is the one talking to me?!" Tekkan asked himself in surprise as he leaned in attentively.
The hologram continued, "I wanted to share the results of your Recommended Exam personally. Your score on the written test and practical was genuinely remarkable, Brief.
Tekkan's heart raced as he listened, his anticipation growing with each passing second.
"The interview left a lasting impression on me. Your motivations and your unique abilities have truly caught my attention," Principal Nezu stated.
The Saiyan couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and pride. This was it—the moment he had been working towards.
"I'm delighted to announce that you secured first place in the practical exam. Your resourcefulness and determination were evident throughout the race," Principal Nezu revealed.
"Hehe. I got first place." The spiky-haired alien had a wide grin on his face. His efforts had paid off beyond his expectations.
"With your exceptional performance, I am pleased to inform you that you have met and exceeded the criteria for U.A.'s entry. Congratulations, young man. You have successfully passed the Recommended Exam," Principal Nezu declared with pride.
U.A.'s Principal extended his left hand out to him. "So take a bow, Tekkan. You're now a part of the hero academia because you earned it. Next time we meet, it will be in U.A." He welcomed him.
"But, I am here as a projector!"All Might suddenly sidestepped into the screen, wearing a yellow suit, white polo undershirt, and blue tie. "I am here as a projector!"
Tekkan was slightly surprised to see the Symbol of Peace in the recording. "Wait, even All Might?"
All Might coughed into a balled fist before continuing. "Just so you know, I didn't come to this city to play villain, young man. Just wanted to say that you're looking at the newest U.A. Faculty Member, Young Tekkan!"
Tekkan slightly widens his eyes in semi-shock. "All Might as a public teacher? That's…something."
"And I'm only stating this to you recommended first. I will share the news openly with the rest of the U.A. accepted candidates during the normal entrance exam starting in a few days." He whispered into the camera before stepping back.
"But for now, peace!" All Might gave him a peace sign, flashing his iconic smile as the video concluded and the device powered off.
After the hologram ended, Tekkan sat back in his chair, shutting his eyes. He felt excited and took pride in this, but he couldn't help but reflect on the journey that had led him to this point.
He knew this was a significant milestone that marked his start to being his ideal hero.
"I gotta text Inasa, Izuku, Momo, Zrya, and Setsuna about this!" The Saiyan quickly pulled out his phone, his fingers flying across the screen.
Two Minutes Later-
He hit send on the same message to them with a satisfied smile, leaning back in his chair. But he then jumped out of his chair, ending towards the door. "I think it's time for a victory feast," Tekkan said with a simile as he opened his door and jogged out.
