I do not own any of this. Paranorman belongs to Laika and Sonic The Hedgehog belongs to Sega.

Walking through the forest with a troubled expression, Agatha admitted that the last couple of hours has been strange for her.

First, she had been experiencing this sudden new empty feeling as she continued to watch her accusers get torn apart by the villagers once more. Agatha didn't know why she was suddenly experiencing this unexpected emotion; she was just fine before, but now it seemed that watching them getting attacked over and over again no longer brought her any joy at all, and she just didn't know why.

If that wasn't enough, about half an hour later the quill she had still been holding onto suddenly lit up and gave her a great amount of energy. So much energy it pulled her right out of her tree and completely made her physical. That had only happened a few minutes ago and now she was walking about through the forest, funny enough it had been much too long since she had to actually use her legs, Agatha had to actually rebalance herself at first before finally moving forward.

The forest did look a bit different than what it had been from her time amongst the living, it was probably because of her storm clouds still covering up the sky, blocking out any sunlight from shinning down through here.

A butterfly then fluttered past her, causing Agatha to come to a sudden stop and watch it. Suddenly, memories flashed through her eyes, memories of someone she had forgotten about for all these years - her mother.

Widening her eyes, Agatha suddenly remembers sitting at the tree with her mother, listening as she told her stories that all had happy endings. Agatha would've smiled from this memory if the flashes of those horrible men taking her away from her mother didn't popped into her mind next.

The mere thought made her hair crackle as she scowled at the butterfly that then poofed into a burst of flames. Realizing what she had just done to an innocent little creature, Agatha gasped in horror before then running off in tears.

She didn't know how far she had run, but when she next looked through her teary eyes, she found herself near a creepy-looking house. Blinking curiously, Agatha walked up to the door and opened it, revealing a messy hallway with stairs on the right and an open door straight ahead.

Despite the hallway being messy and a bit creepy due to the various objects scattered about, Agatha walked her way over to the room ahead. Upon entering, she found a messier room and a body, which caused her to jump a bit.

Backing up a bit, she stopped herself and studied the corpse. Upon really looking at him, Agatha discovered the corpse belonged to the man who was currently reading her that stupid story in order to keep her asleep. It seemed that he had died sometime yesterday; she didn't know exactly when, but it was definitely yesterday.

This must have been his home, and to be frankly honest, although it's a bit disrespectful to say this while being with the recent deceased, but she found him to be the worst storyteller out of everyone who had told her the story over the last 300 years. Not only did he skip several of the words, but mainly because he didn't exactly have the best storytelling voice.

Speaking of which, glancing over to a desk, the book stood there in full view in front of her. Scowling at the object that was responsible for delaying her curse for centuries, Agatha walked her way over to it and slowly picked it up. Slowly rotating it twice, Agatha then opened it up and flipped through each page, taking study of the pictures with disinterest. She has heard this story so many times that she could honestly recite it word for word without even reading it.

Letting out a soft sigh, she tosses the book over her shoulder and then looked up to the wall, where much to her surprise a whole bunch of pictures of the boy she scared earlier today is fully displayed, and by a bunch, she means a lot of them with him either walking, spending time with who she assumes is his family, and other stuff she's trying to decipher on what it is, such as him staring at a strange box that glows.

Really looking at the boy, Agatha notes that he seemed to like being by himself right along with taking a slow and steady approach on things. Looking to another photo, it showed him talking to nothing but thin air to anyone elses point of view, but with her eyes. Agatha can clearly see him talking to a ghost of a woman hanging from a tree.

It seems that he is also very good with talking to ghosts, which upon further thinking about it, Agatha began to curse herself for scaring him so bad for perhaps he would've been good to talk to about these weird feelings she's recently been developing, but since she did scare him badly. Agatha very much doubted he would sit down and listen to her now, instead he would most likely run away upon the first sight of her.

When Agatha eventually does get back to her spector form, she'll try to reconnect with him and apologize for her earlier behavior, where hopefully he will accept it, (though she has her doubts), and hopefully he will be willing to listen to her woes.

She doesn't exactly know when this form will end as the quill has given her a great amount of energy that very much surpasses her very own ghostly energy. It felt amazing when it had suddenly lit up, it made her feel alive again and it's all because of that strange blue hedgehog.

Speaking of which, that man had several photographs of him as well; most of them are just a blue blur with a barely visible outline of the hedgehog, but in several others he is doing various poses like giving a thumbs up, pointing his index finger upwards, standing on top of the tied-up man with his arms crossed, then in the final photograph he is very close to the camera with his tongue sticking out and a wink of his right eye.

Looking at all these photos actually made her chuckle a bit for he definitely has a sense of humor. She actually began to wonder what he is doing right now?

"This is a good place to park." said Mitch as he pulled into a suburban area, where he eventually finds a pharmacy nestled between a shoe store and ice cream parlor, while out in the distance, the famous skyscrapers of New York City lay on the horizon.

They were almost there; despite the drama they had experienced this morning, they have almost reached the end of their journey. They were honestly surprised that they hadn't been pulled over by the police, considering that the van was missing its entire roof, which definitely made them receive some stares, but they weren't pulled over, which they guessed was a good thing.

But they couldn't be joyful now. Not when Sonic laid unconsciously in the backseat, which was exactly why they were here for maybe the pharmacy has something that could help him out.

Parking in a spot at the side of the building, Mitch slowly walked out of the van, while deliberately avoiding any eye contact on the poor state of his van. He just knew that if he stopped to really look at the damages it suffered, he might faint from the mere sight of it.

With Mitch heading for the pharmacy, it left Courtney to look over at Sonic right alongside Neil and Norman. Looking at him now, a very sad feeling came over her; he looked like a hurt child. She really hoped that he was going to be okay and that Mitch would find something for him.

Glancing over to his shoes, she noticed how worn-out they were, with duct tape holding the middle together. Lifting his left foot, she then took notice of the holes on the bottom. These wouldn't do at all, not on her watch. Suddenly glancing up to the shoe store, an idea came to her.

"I'll be right back. You two keep an eye on him in case he wakes up." Stepping out of the Van, Courtney leaves the two boys alone with Sonic. For them, they didn't have the confidence to touch a single quill due to the fear of touching a injury and accidentally making it much worse.

"Are you sure he's not dead Norman?" Neil worriedly asked.

"If he was. I would be seeing his ghost right now." Sonic's spirit would very well remain here due to the definite unfinished business he would have of not gaining his missing rings.

"At least we know he's alive then." Neil slightly smiled as then there's a very good chance that Sonic might be alright.

"Remember Neil. He did get hit by a bomb blast."

"Oh right. He might have gained a couple of broken bones." Neil couldn't even imagine on how much pain Sonic is going to be feeling once he finally wakes up.

"But at least he'll be happy to know that we're practically at our destination." The unimaginable pain would hinder Sonic a lot, but he will at least be able to have some moment of joy. He starts to think about something else to say in order to reassure Neil, when once again reality began to tear in front of his very eyes.

"No, please not now!" Shaking his head frantically, Norman shuts his eyes tightly and waited for a few seconds before opening them back up, where to his relief the tear of reality was gone and he was still in the van with both Neil and Sonic. "Phew"

"Everything alright Norman?" Having taken notice of Norman's peculiar behavior, Neil gets a bit worried for Sonic's current state may have hit Norman harder than Neil had originally thought.

"I'm fine Neil. It's just, I've been having these visions recently."

"Visions? Are you saying that you can see into the future?" That sounded extremely awesome, perhaps; Norman could see next week's lunch. Where hopefully it will be pizza Friday.

"Actually Neil. It's more of like seeing into the past." Norman corrected.

"Are you seeing dinosaurs?" That would be even more awesome.

"No. Just our town's past." A deep troubled look very quickly spreads across his face, which Neil easily took notice of.

"What did you see?"

Norman wasn't sure how to say this to Neil; I mean, how could he tell someone that the town's main attraction wasn't what the town painted her to be? "I came to the uneasy discovery that the wi-."

"Alright! I have something that will surely help our little blue friend!" Mitch happily exclaimed as he approached them with a small brown bag in his hand. Behind him Courtney just came out of the shoe store holding a grey shoebox.

"What did you get Mitch?" Neil asked, while behind him; Norman is a bit disappointed that he couldn't tell Neil about his Earth shattering discovery of the Blithe Hallow "Witch". Oh well, there's always another time.

"I got this neat spice that apparently works well on knocked out cats." Mitch answered while pulling out a small bottle from the brown bag.

"But he's not a cat." Neil quickly pointed out.

"Hedgehogs are related to cats, aren't they?" Mitch remarked with question.

Neil could only shrug for he wasn't very sure, but seeing how they have nothing else to loose. Mitch opened up the bottle and placed it underneath Sonic's nose, waving it around a bit. Courtney had just reached the van, when Sonic suddenly sat up straight. "Gotta go fast!"

Before anyone could comprehend on anything. Sonic zips and zooms around the parking lot in such speeds, you could barely make him out before he came to a sudden stop in front of the van with clear bewilderment. "What happened? What year is this? Did they elect the Rock as president yet?"

"Whoa! Calm down there a bit buddy. You've been out for quite awhile." Mitch gently remarked.

"Where are we guys? All I remember is us standing at the side of the highway. Then boom!" Looking around, it's clear that they were in some kind of small town.

"We're in Cold Spring." Courtney answered before then pointing over to her far right. "And that; all the way over there is totally New York City."

Looking over to the distant skyscrapers, Sonic could feel himself smile for from here, he can easily see the building that gorillas like to climb on. "That looks so awesome when your actually seeing it in real life."

"It's even more awesome at night." Neil remarked, he just knew that Sonic would've loved to see the city at night, especially during New Years.

"Well we shouldn't be wasting anytime by standing here. Let's get going." Sonic moves to head into the van, but then got stopped by Courtney who suddenly stepped in front of him.

"Hold it. Before we continue on, I have something for you."

"You do?" Sonic asked in surprise.

"Totally. Like, I noticed how worn down and ugly your current shoes are. So I, like the totally thoughtful person I am. totally went out and got you some cute new shoes." Handing Sonic the shoebox, he looks at it with a warm smile for he has never received a gift before, it felt very nice.

Opening the box, Sonic saw that inside it was a pair of red shoes with white straps in the middle, held together by a yellow buckle. They were the coolest shoes he had ever seen, and somehow, he felt as if they belonged to him. Swiftly removing his old shoes and replacing them with the new ones, Sonic moved his feet to test them out. To his delight, they felt absolutely wonderful; in fact, Sonic felt as though he could run even faster.

"These felt great. Thank you."

Smiling down at his enthusiasm over the new pair of shoes, Courtney gently pushed her ponytail behind her shoulder. "It's no prob. Now let's go get those rings of yours."

Getting back into the van, Mitch starts it back up and drove off in the direction of New York. Their journey was nearing its end, where hopefully nothing else would go wrong for them along the way.

Activating his analysis scanner right along with his personal music playlist, Robotnik walked up to it, holding the quill tightly in his hand. To truly know how much power this thing had, this was the best computer for it.

Placing the quill inside the glass tube, sparks immediately erupt and sent the lab into complete darkness. "Whoops."

This was merely a small setback that he could quickly fix in a jiffy. Really, all he had to do was move over to the backup generators and with just one flip of a switch, presto! The lab comes back to life, most importantly the analysis scanner which now began to make very careful detailed scans on the quill.

Seeing how this would take only a couple seconds, Robotnik decided to spend some of the available time to activate the screen behind him and pretended that he was skiing down a tall snowy mountain for a bit before switching over to a dark city street with a Tyrannosaurus Rex chasing after him. Robotnik then stopped in place and faced the dinosaur, which he pretended to get his head bitten off after one chomp.

The screen deactivated itself, leaving Robotnik to dance to the music. His dance moves were definitely something people would stop and look at; they were unique to say the least. Robotnik then turned around and yelped in surprise as he found Agent Stone standing a few feet away from him, holding two coffee cups in his hands.

"I just thought you might like a latte with steamed Austrian goat milk."

"What do you take me as an imbecile?" He replied in outrage before taking a cup out of Stone's hand. "Of course I want a latte. I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM!"

After taking a small sip, the analysis scanner beeped to indicate it had finished scanning. Quickly going over to it to see what the scanner has measured, Robotnik was very pleased to see that the power of this one quill was unlimited.

It's thanks to this quill that the aircraft would finally be ready for use, and he is going to need it to finally capture that alien because if just one quill is this powerful enough. He can only imagine the full power he will have once he strips everything off that alien. His dreams of his machines gaining their full potential and the beginning of his empire that he's only been able to dream of for years is at last going to come true.

"Stone. Prepare the prototype."

"Yes, doctor." Going over to the wall at the far end of the lab. Stone pushes a button which causes alarms to blare as the whole lab separated itself from the top and opened up, where both of its sides landed on the ground all the while the aircraft that's affectionately called the Eggpod is lifted up by a rise from the floor.

Grabbing the quill from the analysis scanner, Robotnik climbed himself into the awaiting cockpit and did short work on installing the quill into another glass tube within the Eggpod. Having everything at last ready, Robotnik switched on the craft that came to life with a beautiful hum.

"Well I'm off now Agent Stone. Do keep the lab running while I'm away, no one wants to come back to a disorganized lab."

"Good luck, doctor."

"With my intelligence. I don't need luck." Taking the Eggpod up, Robotnik flies away with a escort of a dozen Eggdrones accompanying him.

He didn't need to worry about where to find those pests, he already knows their destination. At last; it was time to finish this mind numbing chase.
