DMND had seen on the news about what had gone down at the docks. Of Blake (and the foreign "monkey boy" as the Slayer nicknamed him) Sun's fight against the White Fang. Of Penny pulling a bullhead to the ground by herself. "Damn, now that robot is STRONG," Marion remarked. "Hey Slayer, could YOU have done that?"

"Good question. I will admit, I'd be more likely to shoot it down. A few rockets should do the trick. Hell, likely even one lock-on burst of 3," he says, tapping at his computer. "I bet you 3 are likely thinking something along the lines of 'Remind me not to mess with her?'" The rest of his team nods with wide eyes. "One part of me wants to agree with you. But considering what I've done, what I've experienced, what I've killed..."

"Sword wielding, laser shooting robots mean nothing to you," Nixera comments with a chuckle. "Mr. 'I've killed bigger and badder things.'"

"You know me too well Nix," he continues, tapping a few more buttons. "And there. As the team sniper, spotter, and more...I have a feeling you'll get a kick out of this. Check your scroll."

Nixera checks her scroll, seeing a new app. One the Slayer had been working on for a while, called "Remant Live View," but had never worked before, only saying "Connection Offline." Now when she tapped it, she got an overhead view of what looked like Beacon Academy to her.

"How...how am I seeing this? Is it live?" She asks, as she moves the picture around, the others crowding around her.

"Fortress external camera 1," he explains. "What I SHOULD do is add more cameras. Better detail, magnification, all that. Add to that, a whole array of satellites, since orbit dynamics means the Fortress can only be over a certain area at any given time..."

"Wait," Daisy says as she looks between Nixera's scroll, and him. "A spy satellite is quite simple, right?" The Slayer raises an eyebrow as the bunny continues, both her ears perking up. "I mean...all it is, is the camera, power source, computer, and the thrusters so it can move, right? Granted, you have to protect it all from space debris. But, at least Remnant has little of that, since we lack a space program." She then turns to Marion and Nixera. "Mary, Nix...we 3 can do this. A group project."

"Ok, hold up. Do we even have the know how for all that?" Marion asks. "I mean...I appreciate the idea. But do we have the know-how?"

"It IS a fun idea. And some of us have technical knowledge," Nixera comments. "And think about it. Imagine we had a network, able to spy on anywhere in Remnant. Now imagine someone like say...Ironwood paying for access," she adds, which further perks everyone else up.

"Ok, first off, I appreciate, and approve, of you all trying to take the load off my shoulders. Thanks guys," the Slayer says with a chuckle. "And second? Yes, selling access would be a SURE way to move up in the world. Though, in the case of Hell...there's multiple satellite types we could make, then sell access to." He pulls up more diagrams. "Back in my dimension, on Earth, or rather above it, we had ALL types. There were communication satellites, which greatly helped bounce our wireless signals, at least that didn't travel through the giant undersea cables we laid long ago. Weather satellites helped track rain, snow, storms, and more. We knew where we were via our Global Positioning System satellites, or GPS. And that's just what I remember."

"You had all those? Earth's space must've been crowded," Daisy says. "And that's just the satellites. Not counting all the space stations. And junk, since all that stuff had to get up there."

"Could we do all that? Even if we had the knowhow...that's a LOT of satellites. And manpower," Marion adds. "A hell of a lot."

"Not to mention, getting them all in place in the correct orbits. Based on what your computer had...putting satellites in orbit in your world was a complex process. Lots of timing involved."

"Yes it was," the Slayer responds. "And it's not exactly like the Fortress has the best facilities for launching either."

Marion was about to reply when the bell over the shop's door rung. Inside walked team RWBY, as well as some new faces. "You guys will LOVE it in here!" Everyone heard Ruby say excitedly. "Oh come on Jaune, Mr. Steele isn't THAT scary. I mean, he's only scary if he's angry. But he only gets angry for the right reasons. And he can probably help you too!" She says, and DMND notices the other team that were trailing behind RWBY. A blond boy in a knight's cuirass, as well as a redheaded girl that looked like a teenage model came in behind them, followed by an excitable orange-haired girl and a stoic black haired boy. The Slayer remembered them from his Beacon escape.

"Hey guys!" Ruby says as she approaches the counter. "This is the informal team that runs the shop, DMND. David Steele is responsible for all the gizmos you see here, Marion Fiye owns the shop, Nixera Ebon and Daisy Banela also hang around." Each of them say hi in turn as they're introduced, though with confused glances at the Slayer's introduction. Ruby then introduces them to the new friends, who they learned as team JNPR, RWBY's closest friends in Beacon, while Yang leans onto the counter, whispering. "Like the alias?" She asks DMND.

"Alias? David Steele...oooh, I get it," Daisy whispers back. "DS. Same initials. I get it."

"I'll take it," the Slayer says with a chuckle. Though they'll all be in for a shock, when they learn that my real name is NOTHING at all like that.

"You know...I'd like you all to know you don't need to...hide in here," he announces, mainly looking at Blake. "I know what you and monkey boy did. And your secret."

Blake's eyes go wide, and her ribbon twitches. "Look sir, I have to hide these! I don't know how it is in your world, but here us faunus get the brunt of persecution! We have to hide when we can!"

"Well Blake...I'll be honest. On Earth, you might want to hide your ears there too. But for not all the same reasons," he explains. "Some might call you an animal, yes. BUT, keep in mind Earth has no faunus. So the persecution would be that nobody's seen anyone like you before. Though in some places, you could likely get away with it." He sits down with a smile. "IE, there's this one island country, Japan, where catgirls are VERY popular. You could pass yourself as a cosplayer, so long as you kept your ears still. Even if they twitched they might not be noticed over there. The Japanese...are weird like that," he laughs. "Though, again, hiding the ears might also be smart. But for the opposite reasons. For being TOO liked."

Blake sat down as well, listening intently. "Ok, ok, I understand. I think. But how can I be too popular I'd want to hide?"

"Well...first, some would be disappointed you only have ears. And not a tail. Second...all the guys, and some girls, would expect you act all cat-like. To be the good, submissive catgirl, eager to please her master, saying 'nya' all the time. And...you'd spend quite a fair amount of time in bed if you know what I mean."

Blake was now blushing furiously at the revelation, grateful that she was in Remnant, based on what the Slayer had said. Yang goes to ask what the matter is and JNPR walks up to the counter.

"So is it true? You might be able to help me?" Jaune asks the Slayer. "RWBY says you held them all off, on your own."

"I did," the Slayer says calmly, in a tone as if talking about weather. "I might be able to help you too. Help you all actually. But I'd need to know what you can do." Jaune responds by drawing his sword, and making the sheath expand into the shield, slowly waving the sword around.

"Sword and shield huh? I had a sword once. Semblance?" The Slayer asks as Jaune sheathes his sword.

"Uh, well...I can heal the wounds of others..." Jaune says sheepishly.

"So you're pretty much a paladin," The Slayer responds, while thinking. But just then, another familiar face walked in the door.

"Hey Penny!" Marion says. "We saw what you did out there. You're STRONG, aren't you?" she asks, causing Penny to blush. "You might even give the big guy a run for his money."

"Wait, Penny, you know David too?" Ruby asks, running up to greet her. Penny looks confused for a minute until its explained to her.

"Why yes, friend Ruby. I happened to meat DMND by chance a few days ago. I even got to try out Mr. Steele's computer," Penny explains. "It's VERY advanced."

"So, what brings you here?" Marion asks. "This rate, shop's getting crowded," she adds with a laugh.

"Because while I have not found where that strange...Wraith Crystal as you call it, is located, I DID learn where it impacted," she says excitedly. "Though there's a high Grimm concentration in the area," she says, heading behind the counter, and also whispers. "Nobody knows the truth about me," she explains as she connects herself to the computer, showing map data. "The intel isn't recent, as it's not a high priority," she says with a frown, but Marion found a good way to cheer her up.

"Well...we might have a solution," she says. "Not for right now, but the future," she says, fully explaining the satellite plans.

"Oooh, that would work," Penny says as the frown disappears. "Only issue is labor. But for now..." everyone turns back to the screen. There was a visible impact crater, and some of the pictures showed A LOT of Grimm in the area. It was far enough away to not draw attention from the public.

"Getting there...might be an issue. Especially since technically, you're still wanted, Mr. Steele. But I think some of the upperclassmen are on a mission in the area, so it's not completely inaccessible."

"Not for us," the Slayer says with a chuckle. "We can go anywhere. As for the Grimm...we might be able to handle it. I mean...with my experience, I could probably solo this."

"Oh no," Nixera says as she comes behind the counter with Daisy to see what everyone's up to, and sticks her finger in the Slayer's face. "You're the one who's been teaching us how to work together. You're NOT ditching us for this Mister. No way, no how. We ARE coming along, and this is NOT up for debate."

"Coming along where?" Yang overhears, coming up to the counter. "Is this some secret mission you all are going on?"

"It's just to investigate something. Might even be nothing. Nothing you kids need concern yourself with," the Slayer says, but Yang persists, drawing the others attention.

"Oooh, big Grimm fight. I want in on that," she says with a grin as RWB and JNPR come up to look.

"Jaune, this could help you," Pyrrha says to him sweetly. "Build your confidence."

"Especially if this David guy kicks as much ass as RWBY says he does," Nora says excitedly.

"Ok...are we letting these kids come along?" Daisy asks. "I mean, they're all in school. They'll get detention if they're gone."

"Not if it's a weekend," Blake says. "But what's this method you claim to have to get there fast?"

"Nothing we need show you now," Marion says. "So, you 8 all want to come along huh? No talking y'all out if it?" She asks, looking at them all nodding. "Well...David?" She asks, as the Slayer looks out at them.

Teenagers, the lot of them. On Earth, they belonged in high school, going on dates, having their parents lecture them about the opposite sex, spending time at malls, the works. Not training to be warriors. But Remnant was not so kind of a world. There was no TRUE subjugation of Grimm, like could be done with ordinary animals. This was one where even someone as young as Ruby had to learn how to fight. He sighed internally, wishing it was otherwise. What's strange is that the kids of this world are easier to get along with than the adults. One part of me is saying no, I shouldn't let them come along. But then another thought came to him. I can train them. ALL of them. And anyone else who volunteers. If I can turn them into mini-mes...

"Be here, Saturday. 0700, sharp," he orders, with some confused looks.

"David, you're being too military for them," Marion says with a light punch to his arm. "That means 7 AM," she explains, earning some groans about how early it was.

"Do you want me to make it 0600?" The Slayer says with a raised eyebrow, and the complaints died down. "I'm not waiting around. Stragglers stay behind. Any questions?"

The main questions concerned the nature of what was out there, which the Slayer gave a brief explanation, but otherwise there were none.

That Saturday, both RWBY and JNPR had arrived at the shop, early as they had been told. The Slayer was in his armor, and holding his combat shotgun, the rest of DMND were present too, even Penny had managed to get away. "Ok, so first we're going through a portal to my true home, and then to the site," he explains, and before they can ask, a portal opens. They all stare in amazement and shock, but go through at the Slayer's urging. Once inside the Fortress, they also all loudly gasp at the architecture while the Slayer punches in the coordinates Penny had given him, and they all head through.

"That was your place?" Ruby asks. "It was nice, from what I could see."

The Slayer meanwhile was eyeing the site. It was a short walk to the crater, and the Grimm, so he took point as he lead the 3 teams and Penny forward. They soon spotted the crater, with a lot of Grimm roaming about, but taking notice as they approach.

"Oh shit," Marion says, readying Eternity. "You sure we're not in over our heads?" She asks as everyone else readies weapons, looking nervous.

"They are rage," the Slayer says, pumping his shotgun. "Brutal, without mercy. But I...I am worse. I will rip and tear, until it is done," he says as he rushes forward, firing away at a boarbatusk charging at him, dashing away from its charge. The rest of DMND, RWBY, JNPR, and Penny all take on various other Grimm in the area, but it was clear that the morale was low. The Grimm somehow even seemed stronger, as if their proximity to the impact site was strengthening them.

But things took a turn when the Slayer nearly finished off the Boarbatusk he was fighting. Mainly in that it staggered, and to him, was flashing blue, and as he approached, orange. He ripped one of the tusks off the beast, stabbing it in the brain, or where its brain would be, and then it exploded, into a shower of blue health pickups. Wait...am I back? He thought, as he now rushed towards another Grimm, this time a Beowulf. Everyone was complaining about low ammo at this point, and the Slayer himself was low as well, so he pulled out his chainsaw, shoving it in the fake wolf's chest, pulling forward until it split the head clean in half, which wowed some, but what came next got the most attention.

It exploded, like the Boarbatusk, but this time into an ENORMOUS pile of ammo, more than a demon would. Some of it jumped to the Slayer, filling up his weapons. But the rest jumped at everyone else with bullet firing weapons.

"Wait...I have ammo?" Yang asks in confusion, as everyone else realized what just happened. "Because you chainsawed that thing?"

"Welcome to my world," the Slayer responds, a maniacal grin coming to his face. "Welcome to how I'm used to doing things."

"So your Semblance is finally unlocked?" Marion asks with wonder. "THIS is how you fight so long?"

"And the rest of us benefit?" Daisy asks as she readies for another attack.

"FIGHTING WITH YOU IS GOING TO BE THE BEST THING EVER!" Ruby yells as she rushes forward towards another Grimm.

"I'm back," the Slayer says with an evil laugh. "We have to celebrate. And there's only one way to herald my return. We need to bring them to the threshold. We need to leave them..." he pauses for effect, saying and thinking the next part, the latter as a command to the Praetor Suit's music library, "At Doom's Gate." External audio on. Original edition by the Sentinel's Prince Robert. Maximum volume.

Heavy metal now blasted throughout the forest, as the Slayer began to charge one of the big boy Grimm. Everyone else smirked in appreciation of the music, and the tide was beginning to turn. The Slayer noticed that the music was having an effect on everyone, even as he himself was almost drunk in his bloodlust. Mainly, they were fighting better, ignoring more pain than normal, and their earlier fatigue seemed to be gone.

It seems as if the heavy metal flows through them, turns them into TRUE hunters of those who would prey on humanity, incarnations of man's capacity for violence and anger, he thought as he noticed Jaune, who had struck him as the kid who'd get picked on, the Neville Longbottom of Beacon, fight with an anger and a ferocity that would make the Slayer want to say "that's my boy." With every chainsaw, everyone's ammo got replenished. With every glory kill, health got replenished as well. However, only the Slayer benefitted whenever a Grimm was on fire, and therefore dropped armor. Nothing was working to replenish Aura. I WILL find a fix for that. Not sure how, but I will. Then...I, and those who fight with me, will become TRULY unstoppable.

In another part of the forest, team CFVY were on a training mission, and were taking on some Grimm, when they noticed many were turning tail and running, after seeming to sense something in another direction. "Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?" Velvet asks, doubling over and panting from exhaustion.

"I'm not sure," Coco says, but Fox's ears perk up.

"I think I hear fighting where they're going," he points out. "And...music?"

"So somebody's in trouble," Coco says as she collapses Gianduja, and she and the rest of CFVY start running after the Grimm. It wasn't long before everyone heard the sounds of battle, as well as music. A heavy metal that Coco felt she wasn't just hearing, but feeling. It was a beat that was worming its way into her soul, telling her that she was an alpha predator, hunting prey. She was feeling angry, for a reason she couldn't explain, though she knew what she was angry at. She was angry that there were beings that threatened humanity, that sought humanity's extinction. So she had to exterminate them first.

"Does...anyone else feel that?" Yatsuhashi asked, a low growl in his voice, earning everyone's attention. "I'm trying to stay calm, to remember my meditation. But this music...makes me want to hunt Grimm to extinction," he says, and Coco nodded, Fox and Velvet doing the same.

"Wait...could it be...him?" Velvet asks as they rush forward, and before anyone could ask, the answer became clear. Close to a giant crater, were many Grimm, battling quite a number of people.

Coco recognized her classmates at Beacon, teams RWBY and JNPR, all fighting ferociously, moreso than first years would. She also vaguely recognized Penny, the strange girl from Atlas. There were 3 other girls she didn't recognize as well, also putting up a good fight. But the star of the show...was the strange man. Coco recognized him, as the man who escaped Beacon. Strange green armor, encasing a man almost as tall as Yatsu, and wielded not one weapon, but many, that he seemed to swap in and out of thin air. Not to mention the blade on his arm, and the device on his shoulder.

CFVY stopped and watched in awe, Velvet's camera snapping away. The strangest thing of all was the effects his kills had. Whenever he closed in on an opponent to kill them, blue lights seemed to jump out of the Grimm, jumping towards everyone. And when he pulled out his chainsaw, the unlucky Grimm exploded into fountains of ammo it looked like, that jumped towards him, and the others.

"There is no stopping this man," Coco said in awe, watching as he jumped, and then it seemed double jumped as fire erupted from his feet to push him up, more fire dashing him out of danger. She could also feel, and hear it. The music? The anger? It was coming from him. Though she wasn't all that surprised, based on what she was seeing.

"Even I can sense it," Fox says, white eyes staring ahead, as if he was watching even without the ability to see. "This man is just MURDERING Grimm."

"Look Coco!" Velvet says excitedly, "He's got one too!" Before Coco could ask what she meant, she saw it. The stranger had pulled out a minigun like her own, and was firing away. What was surprising was how he handled it. It had to be heavy she figured, as heavy as her own weapon. Yet he didn't seem to notice. He didn't slow down in the slightest, running, jumping, and dashing all over the place. The only time he did slow down, she saw his gun split into FOUR independent sets of barrels, each firing away, the tips soon glowing orange.

"This guy can do ANYTHING it seems," Yatsu says as he draws his sword, Fox and Coco also readying weapons. Velvet was still snapping pictures, even as the stranger looked like he was getting swarmed. One even grabbed his arm, earning a burst from an assault rifle looking weapon, and another to his right looked right at them as Velvet took the picture.

"Oh shit. Heads up, we've been noticed," Coco announces as they get ready to fight.

The Slayer was drunk in his bloodlust, or rather Grimmlust, with all the teams under his command. Though it was a touch disappointing. Grimm lack guts, no matter how huge. Ripping and tearing doesn't have the same feel to it. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be knee deep in the dead by now, he thought, as one of the filthy beasts grabbed his arm, paying for its mistake with a few bullets, even as the Slayer noticed a flash while it happened, tossing another Grimm into the air, swapping to his super shotgun to blast a large hole clean through it. He then heard more gunfire, unlike what he had gotten used to for the past few...minutes? Hours? As was usual, he had lost track of time.

Looking towards the source he saw another group of 4, they looked like students but older, and he remembered what Penny had said about upperclassmen. And they fought better too, with one of them even taller than him, wielding an equally gigantic sword. Another had twin blades along his arms, and there was a girl with a chaingun similar to his. And another rabbit faunus. He also noticed that while the base technique was better, they were also under the same effects the rest were, ignoring pain and fatigue like everyone else.

Soon, the last of the immediate Grimm had been slain, and everyone looked at each other with wonder. Introductions were about to be made, when more Grimm came, lead by a large one with something glowing in the middle of its boney forehead, which the Slayer thought was potentially another Wraith Crystal. "Concentrate on its friends. Big guy's mine," he orders, as he chargest forward, and changes up the music playing. It was still At Doom's Gate, but considering everyone present...it was tougher. More metal. From one of the Sentinel's later composers, one he had personally met. The last great composer of the Sentinels, Mick Gordon. It was HIS remix that was blaring out for all to enjoy.

It was a long hard fight, with the Slayer having to chainsaw and glory kill many other Grimm to replenish stocks of health and ammo for all. But finally it came when he shoved the Doomblade deep into the Grimm's forehead, prying out the glowing object, then ripping the beast's head in half with his hands, as it roars and pain, collapsing to the ground, the Slayer riding it down and standing on its corpse victoriously, holding up the object that he realized now WAS a Wraith Crystal, just as the music from his suit played its final beats. And that's when everyone collapsed from exhaustion.

"Well done everyone," the Slayer said even as some got back up, though clearly still exhausted. Even Penny looked like she'd had plenty. "Stay with me now, at least for a little while longer," he says, as he calls up a portal. Slowly, everyone trudges their way through, though some the Slayer had to carry through the portal. Everyone was too tired to really comment on where they were, but the Slayer understood. Some things could wait.

"Hey Penny," he asked, as Penny herself seemed unsure of her surroundings, sticking close to him. "Get as many sleeping bags as you can from the shop," he says as he cues up the coordinates from the favorites menu.

"Sir...I think that thing is helping to keep me...active," she says, but not out loud. Instead he heard her through his suit's radio. "Since Dust doesn't work up here."

"Ok, I understand. I won't go far. And I WILL find a way for you to be up here without worry," he explains, even as she heads through the portal. She makes multiple trips, bringing enough sleeping bags, blankets, and etc, so everyone had something to lay on, all 15 of them, and soon enough they were all napping off the fight.

"I have to ask sir," Penny asks as the last of them fell asleep. "How do you DO it? By all calculations, you should be exhausted. Yet you seem to have shrugged it off. Are you...even human?"

"Define human," the Slayer laughs dryly. "I mean, to a degree, yes, biologically. But with all that's been done to me? I'm not sure. Heh...I could understand why, based on what I can do? Have done? How long I've lived? I can understand why some might call me a god. Primitive Earth cultures would most likely think so. Build grand temples to me, treat me as the ultimate god of war. Ares has nothing on me," he chuckles. "And if he and I met, I'd likely win. Blades of Chaos not required," he continues, adding "Long story," to Penny's confused look. "But anyway...come with me. While they nap, let's work on making you able to be up here," he says as he leads her further into the Fortress.

"Don't worry, they'll be OK by themselves. It's a space station, nobody can get up here. Especially since Remnant lacks a space program. I can even give you some access to the interior cameras too, so you can still keep an eye on them," he answers Penny's worried expression. "And I'll double check the airlocks are locked too, so they can't go out that way. Though for you? You're probably the only one that can handle it. But it'd reveal your secret."
