i"You know what?" said Lily thoughtfully, "I think it would be very appropriate if Gary, Miles, Todd, and Gordon all turned over their pictures over at once. Their themes are related you see. That's not surprising with regard to Gary, Miles, and Todd considering how close they are and have always been. The fact that Gordon's theme completes the set is more coincidental, but I'm glad someone did "

"if that's the case, I'm surprised it wasn't Devon that completed the set, " piped up James in a curious sounding voice.

"Remember, " Devon reminded James, "That we never shared our ideas for what to do for the Hogwarts Drawing Competition with each other, only with Lily. Lily didn't want us all knowing what each other was doing. She wanted it to be a surprise. So even Gary, Miles, and Todd having related themes is coincidental, "

"True, " acknowledged Lily, "I guess it just made intuitive sense to me that Gary, Miles, and Todd would have related themes, but you're right that even that is coincidental. All the same, when I have Gary, Miles, Todd, and Gordon flip over their pictures, it will be obvious within a nanosecond how their themes are related and why it's fitting to have them reveal them at the same time. Gary, Miles, Todd, Gordon, go for it!"

Next nanosecond, Gary, Miles, Todd, and Gordon turned their pictures over to show four completely distinctly themed drawings.

Mile's drawing was a splendid representation of spring. There was a lush green lawn at the bottom of Gary's drawing with trees with green leaves sprouting out from it. There were also bushes with various types of flowers blooming out, roses, lilies, daisies, violets etc. Spread through the lawn were bright and vivid pastel colored Easter Eggs in vibrant shades of pink, yellow, sky blue, light green, and pale violet.

Gordon, meanwhile, went for a summer themed drawing. His drawing had a clear blue sky with a bright shining yellow sun at the top. Miles had drawn a swimming pool with sparkling blue water and several people swimming or tubing in it at the left of his drawing. To the right of the pool was a depiction of a girl people sitting in lawn chair drinking lemonade. The girl in the lawn chair was small and short, had brown eyes and vivid long red hair, and was wearing a white tee shirt, hot pink shorts, hot plink flip flops, and a hot pink wristwatch on her right wrist. Further to the right was a naked girl of average size and height, green eyes, and golden brown hair who has also sitting on a lawn chair sipping lemonade.

Gary, on the other hand, had produced a faunistic fall montage. There were fall leaves in the most breathtaking shades of yellow, red, and orange all over the picture. Numerous orange pumpkins were spread throughout the landscape and turkeys completed the drawing on either end.

Todd had manufactured a wonderful winter themed drawing. White was the predominant color of this drawing as several inches of snow were seen accumulated on the ground as snow continued to fall. The trees had sprinklings of snow. Santa Claus appeared on the left hand side while the Lombardi Trophy was present on the right hand side.

"The four seasons, " said Samantha glowingly, "Gary, Miles, Todd, and Gordon, these are awesome and realistic portrayals of the four seasons. I'm impressed."

"Spring is my favorite season because it represents life with the flowers blooming and the trees coming back and so forth, " said Miles happily.

"You represented it brilliantly, " Lily assured him, "The inclusion of the Easter eggs is a nice touch."

"I hadn't originally planned on including the Easter Eggs, but I thought since we're turning these entries in so close to Easter, I thought it was a fitting addition."

"Marvelous Miles showcases spring splendidly, " grinned Lily.

"Raise your hand if spring is your favorite season, " requested Lily.

Hugo, Fred, and Roxanne hoisted their right hands into the air.

"You know how much I love greens and earthy stuff, " said Hugo briskly, "Herbology being my favorite subject and all."

"I agree with Hugo, " said Fred, "And well spring is just, well, springing with life."

"I adore flowers, " said Roxanne simply.

"I love summer best, " said Gordon brightly, "Because I love warm weather. And I love a lot of summertime stuff."

"You depicted it perfectly, " said Lily cheerfully, "Is the girl in the first lawn chair supposed to me?"

"Yes, Lily, " said Gordon warmly.

"Merlin's beard, it is perfect, " said Lily emotionally, a few tears coming down her cheeks, "You put that much effort into drawing me?"

"You deserve it, Lily, the world is a far warmer place because of your presence in it, " said Gordon sincerely,

"I soo, want to run up and hug you, Gordon, " said Lily briskly, "But alas, we've got to all stay six feet apart from each other."

"The naked girl is Ainsley. I wanted to depict two people in lawn chairs on my drawing and I know Ainsley loves being naked, so I went with a naked Ainsley in the second lawn chair, " finished Gordon.

"There's nothing better than sitting outside in warm weather in a lawn chair naked while drinking lemonade, " said Ainsley contently, "Yes, my vote for favorite season goes to summer."

"And who else would like to cast a vote for summer?" inquired Lily.

James and Albus held their right hands aloft.

"Warm weather is just so pleasant, " said James contently.

"That's one point James and I have always agreed on, " revealed Albus, "Our strong preference for warm weather over cold weather."

"I'm a fall guy, " said Gary crisply, "Because I prefer crisp cool weather and I love autumn's mix of colors."

"Gem Gary's fabulous fall is beyond beautiful, " cooed Lily, "The fantastic fall foliage gives me goosebumps."

"I like to think of fall as a soothing and relaxing season, " explained Gary, "Summer heat is gone, winter cold is yet to come, the weather is nice and mild, and the beautiful fall foliage is nature's gift to us all. "

"So, who amongst our number favors fall?" asked Lily.

Courtney, Stephanie, and Rachel put up their right hands.

"I knew Courtney and Stephanie would because of what hardcore Halloween fans they are, " grinned Lily.

"That's true, " confirmed Stéphane, "But that's only part of it."

"Yeah, much like Gary, we love fall foliage, " piped up Courtney, "Some of my favorite memories of Stephanie and I spending time with Austin and Morgan when they were still alive are the times, we would go on walks around the block to look at fall foliage and sometimes see leaves on the sidewalks."

"When Courtney and I were Baylacs, mom and dad were both huge fans of fall foliage as well, " said Stephanie slowly, "They passed their of fall onto us."

"That's a beautiful legacy for them to carry even if they're gone now, " said Courtney meaningfully.

"I'm another who loves fall foliage, " revealed Rachel, "And Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I'm not the biggest decoration or party girl but I love food."

"Winter is my favorite, " beamed Todd, "I love me some snow and cold and white and so forth."

"Terrific Todd's winter wonderland is truly magical, " said Lily breathlessly.

"I always loved snow and cold and white, " said Todd joyously, "There's just a certain magic about snow and cold and white."

"Where are the winter supporters?" asked Lily.

Devon, Rose, and Pamela sent their right hands upward.

"Christmas is my favorite holiday so that's how winter gets my vote, " said Devon matter of factly.

"I see the same beauty in snow and white as Gary, Cortney, Stephanie, and Rachel see in fall foliage, " piped up Pamela.

"Hear hear, " agreed Rose, "White winter wins. Go snow! Snow is nature's ultimate beauty to me."

"I know I didn't vote, " explained Samantha, "I have a different perspective. I believe all seasons have their value and we should appreciate the things each different season brings to the table. Spring is beautiful because of everything coming back to life and blooming. Summer is beautiful because of the pleasant warm weather. Fall is beautiful because of the fall foliage and the pumpkins and such. Winter is beauftul because of the magic of snow, white, and cold. Not to mention it has both Christmas and Super Bowl Sunday in it. There's something to savor, embrace, and enjoy about each of the four seasons."

"You should have been in Ravenclaw, Samantha, " said Lily kindly, "That's the best answer I've gotten."

"I'm happy in Gryffindor, " said Samantha with a smile, "But, yes, seeing the beauty in all four seasons is the wisest choice we can make here."

"No question about that, " agreed Lily, "All seasons are awesome in their own ways." Love all four. Embrace all four."
