Chapter 19: Timebomb Part 2
I woke up to fingertips running up and down my back. I found myself laying on Eric's chest. Shifting on his chest, I looked up into the ocean blue eyes that stared at me. I smiled sleepily at him as his cool hand came up to trace patterns in between my shoulders. "I thought you were going to sleep all night," he chuckled.
I giggled a little. "Well, with the two days that I've had, could you blame me if I did?"
"Not at all," Eric reassured with a smile, playing with a strand of my hair. "I like watching you sleep."
"That's not creepy at all," I giggled, and he lightly pinched my side in retaliation. It was nice to see this side of him, the playful side. I settled back on his chest with a content sigh.
He ran his fingers over the tattoos on my right shoulder blade and right lower back. "What do your tattoos mean?" he asked me.
I smiled at his curiosity and raised my left forearm to show the dragon tattoo that I had. "This was my first one. The Chinese dragon is for strength and the cherry blossoms stand for birth and death. I got it for the strength that I have gained by the vampires that I've known."
Eric ran his fingers over the wolf cross on my upper right arm, the Celtic symbol on my right lower back, and one on my right ribcage that was a paw print with a forest and eyes in the trees. "What about these?"
"It's the main symbol of the wolves," I explained. "Every pack has their own symbol that they can be identified by. This one is mine and it's one that is recognized by every wolf pack there is. I got that one with my brother and Georgette. It's the Celtic symbol for friendship and trust. We all met because of Godric, and we wouldn't be so close if it wasn't for that. The other one was to remind myself that I will always have my pack by my side, that I'm never alone."
He ran his fingers over my right shoulder with raised eyebrow. There was a saying on there that says, 'Strength is what we gain from the madness we survive.' "I got that one for surviving my father."
"He hurt you?" Eric growled, his arm tightening around my waist.
I smiled at his protectiveness and pulled his hand to trace some of the small slash marks on my lower back. "Unfortunately, but he only did it during training that way it didn't look like he was. Most of them healed, but my father's an Alpha and most of them didn't. When we weren't training, he was verbally abusive, and I was always worried that I was going to anger him. It was unfortunately quite a lot."
He frowned with a light growl rumbling in his chest. "Where is he?" he asked lowly, not looking at me.
I moved my hand to trace patterns on his in order to calm him down. "I don't need you to go after him Eric," I soothed. "He knows better than to mess with me now, and I'm not that scared little girl that I was." Eric's stormy blue eyes stared at me. I reached up to cup his cheek. "I promise that I'm fine. Believe me, Godric put the fear of God into him."
He got a certain look on his face, and I trailed my hand down his neck to lay on his collar bone. "What are you thinking about?"
"How can you tell?" he countered in curiosity.
Looking up at his blue eyes, I smiled. "For one, it's your eyes. You always have a certain look in them when you have an idea or thinking of one. For the other, it's the bond. I can feel that there's something on your mind."
"That's going to take some getting used to," he muttered.
"What? The bond?"
He nodded. "That and having someone at my side that I can talk to about these things. It's going to be weird for a bit."
I sat up on my elbow a little. "You're not regretting it, are you?"
Eric reached up and cupped my cheek. "Never," he reassured me. "Being able to call you mine is a joy that I won't be taking for granted. It's just going to take some getting used to."
I relaxed and leaned into his hand. "So, what's on your mind?"
"Why does Godric call you Lev?" he asked. "If there was ever anything more to you two, you can tell me."
I laughed a little as I moved to sit next to him. I pulled the sheet up to cover myself and he pouted a little bit. I gave him a light kiss before pulling back. "There was never anything more between us. To be honest, Godric is more like the father that I always wanted. After running away with my brother, we lived on the streets for about a year before he found us one night. I had become Queen when I was ten, but everyone took advantage of the fact that I was still a minor.
"Godric pulled us both out and made sure we never wanted for anything. Godric taught us what we needed and taught me languages, that way no one would be able to say anything behind my back."
"What about his nickname for you?" Eric asked again.
"It's for my middle name Levana," I explained. "That and the Russian name that means lion. He would always joke that I was more like a lioness when I came to those I loved."
He smiled at the way I spoke. "Does everyone have their own nicknames for you?"
I laughed. "Not everyone. The most obvious one is Teddy, but some people shorten it to Ted. Zander will call me T sometimes. My father used to call me Theo, claiming that he had wanted another boy." Eric growled at that, and I chuckled. "Zane used to call me Dora, and no one calls me that anymore because of what happened."
He reached up and caressed my cheek with his hand, stroking my cheek with his thumb. "No one will ever touch you again," he promised. "I will rip apart anyone who tries to take you away from me."
His declaration caused a burst of warmth to spread throughout my body. I leaned into his hand with a soft smile. "I hope that you know that goes for you too," I whispered. "You are mine and no one else's. You don't go near anyone else, and I won't have to rip them apart."
Eric smirked and quickly pulled me to straddle him. I could feel his arousal as it poked my lower regions. Moaning, I ground into him as Eric let out a grunt. "Your jealousy is a real turn on Thea," he ground out.
"Thea?" I questioned with a gasp.
"You are mine," he told me. "I will call you what I want lover. No one else will call you that."
"I guess that we're both possessive," I whispered as I reached between us and lined him up as I lowered on him. We both moaned deeply as I took him completely.
We both moved slowly, grinding and moaning. Eric sat up a little more and latched onto my neck, scraping his blunt teeth along my neck. I tilted my head to the side giving more access. It was a slow build and we both took our time. I cupped his face in my hands and pulled him up to give him a languid kiss.
Eric pulled back and helped me go a little faster. "You're still so tight," he groaned. "But I love it. You won't ever be touched like this by anyone else ever again. You belong to me now."
"And you belong to me," I groaned.
He pulled me down with a hand in my hair to put my forehead on his. "Let go for me lover," he whispered.
I let out a long moan with his name as my orgasm took over causing my body to shake. Eric groaned as he followed me. Bringing me down to lay on his chest, he laid on his back while we were still connected. I snuggled into his chest again and he ran a finger slowly up and down my spine.
I almost fell asleep again when he stopped and sighed heavily. I raised my head to look at him. "What's wrong?"
"We have an unwanted guest," he groaned. "That maker that you told me to get rid of. She came back."
I growled a little as I sat up in his lap. "Well, lets make sure that she stays away this time."
Sliding out of his lap, I went to get dressed. Eric used his vampire speed to get in front of me and placed a light kiss to my lips. "We still have a lot of things that we have to talk about," he whispered against my lips. "We'll continue this later."
I smiled and kissed him again. "Of course."
We both found our clothes and got dressed. My hair had come out of the bun that I had put it in, now it flowed down in waves with the braids in it. Eric brushed aside my hair as he helped me zip up my dress and placed a kiss my neck. Hand in hand, we walked out of the room.
*Queen of the Wolves*
We walked back into the party and Eric turned to me. "I'm going to talk with Godric," he informed me.
"And I'll find Sookie and my brother," I agreed. He bent down to kiss me softly. I responded and smiled as we pulled back. Eric smiled lightly at me before we both went our separate ways. I found Georgette and Sookie speaking with another female vampire and made my way towards them.
Georgette spotted me and greeted me with a smile and a side hug. "There you are," she said. "We were beginning to worry about you."
I returned the hug and gave Sookie a side hug as well as the vampire bowed before leaving. "Sorry, I took a light nap," I told them. "With everything that happened, I felt kind of drained."
Georgette's nose scrunched up before she smirked at me. "I'm sure a lot happened upstairs as well," she sniggered, and I blushed at the implication. "Did you have fun?"
Sookie looked between us confused and lost in the conversation. "What are you talking about?"
"Teddy and Eric finally completed the mate bond," Georgette teased, throwing her arm around my shoulders. My blush deepened as I looked off to the side. She squeezed my shoulders to get my attention and I glanced at her to see her giving me a genuine smile. "I am truly happy for you Teddy."
"Thank you, GG," I said with a small smile. "Where's Zander?"
"He's escorting Hugo out of the nest," Sookie answered me, and I looked at her in surprise. "Isabel brought him in, and Godric said that he was free to go. He asked Zander to make sure that he left unharmed." She then looked a little concerned. "You really completed the mate bond?"
I smiled shyly. "Yeah, he said he wouldn't mind being tied to me as long as I was his and his only."
"Aww, that is so cute," Georgette cooed, but Sookie looked worried.
Zander walked up to us, throwing his arm around Georgette. "What's cute babe?" he asked with a smile at her.
"Teddy and Eric," she replied, and Zander pulled a face. She slapped his chest with a scolding look causing him to jump. "You should be happy for her. He has been nothing but respectful of her."
Zander frowned and looked to me. "Are you happy?"
I nodded to him. "I am very happy Zander and he's been genuine with his feelings. Since I had his blood, I can feel his emotions and he has been truthful."
"As long as you're happy, I'll keep out of it," he conceded with a sigh.
"I'm not sure that I can," Sookie spoke up and we all turned to her to see her frown. "Eric has been brutal and vicious with our friends. He chained up and tortured Lafayette and kept him prisoner, or did you forget that? He also sent the both of us into a trap."
I sighed. "I didn't forget Sook, but Eric has made up for it by doing as I asked. He has also been truthful that he regrets sending us in, but there had been no choice in the matter. I was also willing to go in there to save Godric, despite the possibility of it being a trap. It wasn't just Eric."
Sookie looked a little put out by what I said. Before she could say anything else, Zander spoke up. "Before the two of you get into a fight, GG and I have something to tell you both," he announced, and we both turned to them in curiosity.
Zander looked down at Georgette with a smile and she returned it before turning back to us. She placed a hand over her stomach and her smile grew. "I'm pregnant."
I squealed, ignoring the looks that we got. I gave her a big hug with a giant smile. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you both!"
"How far along are you?" Sookie asked as she hugged Georgette next.
"Only eight weeks," she responded with a large smile. "So, I'm not too far along."
"It's about time that you two had kids," I teased as they both blushed and Sookie giggled. "I can't believe that I'm finally going to be an aunt! Have you told Godric yet?"
"We told him after you left," Zander answered. "He was almost as excited as you are."
"Hello, there," a new voice purred. It made us all look over at the newcomer to see a female vampire in a beautiful red dress. Her curly brunette hair was pilled on top of her head and her brown eyes were predatory while her smile was too sweet. She was looking directly at Sookie as she introduced herself, and I motioned to Zander and Georgette to move away. "I'm Lorena."
Sookie, being oblivious to the tension in the air, smiled kindly at her. "Nice to meet you. I'm Sookie and this is my cousin Teddy."
Lorena practically ignored me and just looked Sookie up and down. "Hm," she hummed. "Yes. You are what all the fuss is about."
Sookie looked confused but kept her smile and returned to look the vampire up and down. "Excuse me?"
"Aren't you a morsel," she commented as she continued to look Sookie up and down.
"I'm sorry," Sookie chuckled awkwardly and in confusion. "Uh, who are you?"
Lorena looked a little shocked. "Well, we have a mutual friend."
"Bill?" Sookie guessed.
"That's right," Lorena confirmed. "Funny he never mentioned me. I practically made him what he is today."
I saw Bill move through the crowd that was watching us. He had a look of shock on his face. "Lorena!" he said in surprise.
"Oh, hello, darling," Lorena greeted in a purr. "I was just getting to know your plaything. You always did like to prey on the innocent. I am surprised by the red head though. You never showed an interest before."
"I don't belong to Bill," I growled.
"Bill, is this your maker?" Sookie asked, the smile she had completely disappeared.
"She released me years ago," Bill informed us. "She no longer has any hold over me."
"It may be true that I released you," Lorena conceded. "However, we did start to catch up earlier tonight before we were interrupted."
That fact made me bristle. This bitch really came back after being sent away. It meant that she was so obsessed with Bill that she would risk the anger of one Sheriff, and apparently another one that was more powerful.
"Did you know that your boyfriend hit me over the head with a fifty-two-inch plasma television earlier tonight?" she questioned innocently, reaching up to touch her head. "Everyone says they're so thin and light, but let me tell you, when wielded properly, it's quite a weapon."
Sookie and I looked to Bill in confusion, but Bill looked almost desperately at Lorena to stop. "Lorena, you need to leave," he pleaded, almost begging at this point.
She gave Bill the side eye with a frown on her face as she spoke to Sookie. "I hope he doesn't pull the same shenanigans with you. There's no excuse for domestic violence."
"There's nothing between us anymore," Bill told her. "You need to leave. You were holding me prisoner."
"Pshaw," she smirked. "We were just catching up is all. I must admit. It got a bit heated for such a short time. But you know how old lovers can get sometimes."
She went to cup Bill's face in her hand, and Bill leaned back to avoid her hand. But before she could, Sookie grabbed her hand with a hard look on her face. "Do not touch him," she growled.
"My, we're feisty too," Lorena said, voice flat as she ripped her hand away from Sookie. She then glanced between the three of us while laughing. Her laugh faded into a sigh as she leaned into Sookie's face with a sneer. "You're no more that a blood bag. You cannot win this."
"Okay, I've heard enough," I cut in as I pulled Sookie behind me and stepped in front of Lorena. "You need to walk away bitch. Sookie has already won this. Bill chose her, not you. There's nothing else here for you."
"William and I love each other," she said in desperation as she walked around the small table towards Bill.
Bill grabbed her upper arms and pushed her away as he got in front of Sookie and I. "You've gone mad," he accused. "Get out now."
I stepped forward only to be blocked by Bill. "You probably do love him," I said with a growl in my voice. "I don't know for sure. The one thing that I am sure of is that he doesn't love you and he never has."
Lorena hissed, dropping her fangs with a click as she stepped towards us. "Take those words back or they shall be your last."
"Why would I take back something that's true?" I mocked her. "You've lost this one. So, walk away while you still can, you fucking cunt."
Lorena let out a light scream, pushing Bill over the couch to get to me, but I beat her to it. I grabbed her arm and spun to twist it around her back. There was a resounding pop and crack as I dislocated her shoulder and broke her arm. I shoved her away from me and she stumbled, running into the wall. Lorena turned to me with a hiss as she bared her fangs and her shoulder and arm healed. "Stay away from me and my family Lorena," I growled, my eyes glowing silver and her eyes widened in shock. "It won't end well for you."
There were growls from around the room as the members of my pack watched the interaction. Lorena glanced around to see three pairs of glowing red eyes from my Alphas, four pairs of glowing gold eyes and Leo's blue eyes as well as the blue from Danica and the gold from Dante. She looked hesitant for a moment, but then moved a top vampire speed towards me. But, again, before she could reach me, Godric appeared and grabbed her by her neck.
A startled expression was on her face as she didn't struggle in his grip. I could see that Godric had a tight hold on her. Glancing around him, Eric stood in a relaxed position next to Godric with Willow standing on his other side, closest to me. Eric's stormy blue eyes met my green ones, silently asking if I was alright. I gave him a small nod to tell him I was okay. He nodded back before his eyes got darker as he turned his attention to the female vampire.
"Retract… your… fangs," Godric commanded slowly, and I could tell that he was trying to control his anger. "Now." There was a pop as Lorena's fangs disappeared, and Godric pushed her to sit on the back of the white couch behind her as Bill got up and wrapped his arms around Sookie. "I neither know nor care who you are," Godric growled. "But in this area and certainly in this nest, I am the authority. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Sheriff," Lorena gasped shakily.
He slowly let go of her neck and her shoulders dropped as she relaxed. Godric gestured to Sookie as he spoke and glanced over at her in Bill's arms. "This human has proven herself to be a courageous and loyal friend to our kind," he announced to the room. "And yet you treat her like a child does a dragonfly, pulling off wings for sport. No wonder they hate us."
"She… provoked me," Lorena tried to defend herself in a shaky, watery voice.
Godric leaned down a little to get in her face with barely hidden anger on his face. "And you provoke me," he said in a low tone. "Not only did you disrupt the peace in my own home, but you also threatened the life of our greatest ally and my Queen. Something that I find to be very offensive. I could snap you like a twig. Yet I haven't. Now, why is that?"
I looked at Godric in astonishment. He was mocking her now, something that you don't see too often with Godric. He's usually very even tempered. There had been a few gasps when he called me his Queen. He just announced to the whole nest his loyalty to me. Lorena's broken and teary voice brought my attention back to her.
"It's… your choice," she whispered.
"Indeed, it is," Godric agreed with a nod. He then looked her up and down. "You're an old vampire. I can tell. You've had hundreds of years to better yourself, yet you haven't. You are still a savage, and I fear for all of us, humans, wolves, and vampires, if this behavior persists." He then turned to Bill. "You. You seem to know her."
"Yes, Sheriff," Bill confirmed reluctantly.
"Escort her from the nest," Godric commanded. Sookie reassured Bill that she would be fine, and then Godric turned to Lorena with anger clear in his voice that left no room for argument. "I wish you out of my area before dawn."
Lorena shakily got to her feet and walked out with Bill trailing behind her. The crowd dispersed and went back to talking. Eric came over to wrap his arm around my waist, bending over to brush his lips against my temple. "Are you alright?" he whispered.
I wrapped one arm around his waist and laid the other on his chest. "I'm fine mo stór." (my darling)
A throat was cleared from behind us, and we turned to see Zander standing there with a frown. Behind him, Georgette had her arm around Sookie, checking on her. I looked to Godric, who held Willow and they both had amused smiles on their faces. I turned back to my mate and brother to see them staring at each other. I sighed heavily, which drew their attention to me. I met Zander's dirt brown eyes and then it was his turn to sigh heavily.
"I won't interfere," he conceded, but then he pointed a finger at Eric. "But just remember, if you hurt her, I get first crack at you."
I groaned but then looked surprised when Eric responded. "Deal," he agreed seriously. He then looked down at my surprised expression and his eyes softened just a little. "I have a feeling that if I hurt her, the bond will hurt me too, but you are welcome to have any part of me that's left."
Zander nodded firmly while I looked between them in astonishment. There was a chuckle that drew our attention to Godric and Willow. "I believe congratulations are in order," Godric said with a wide smile. "To both of you."
Willow came over to give me a tight hug as Godric patted Eric's shoulder. "I'm so happy for you Ted."
"Thank you Will," I whispered as I hugged her back.
Suddenly, a chill went down my spine and I let go of Willow to look around. I vaguely heard Eric and Zander ask what was wrong as I zeroed in on a young man with dark hair, wearing a large zipped up jacket, and smelled of sweat and nerves. Jason walked up to him, seeming to know him, but was pushed away. He then turned to the room and raised his voice. "Excuse me, everyone!"
Everyone quieted and turned to the young man, either in curiosity or boredom. "If I could have your attention. My name is Luke McDonald. I'm a member of the Fellowship of the Sun." There were some growls as some vampires stood up. "And I have a message for you all… from Reverend Steve Newlin."
He then opened his jacket to expose a bomb vest full of wooden and silver pieces. "Everyone get down!" I screamed, just as he hit the switch.
A/N: Hello everyone! Sorry that this one isn't as long as the last one. I write by episode. Also, the second half when they come back to Bon Temps might me a little hit and miss. It's not my favorite part of the season, but I'll do my best to get the chapters out. Now, I've been meaning to mention this but have always forgotten. I imagine my wolves, when they shift, like the werewolves in Teen Wolf. Just as a reference. Let me know how I did! I love reading the reviews. See you next week!
