"Meanwhile, " continued Headmistress Kirke, "It is my very pleasure to announce my newest hire for Hogwarts. Now, this new hire won't be living at Hogwarts, only working here, which he will explain during his introduction. His hiring has been executed to relieve some work burden off of one our oldest staff members, who will nevertheless remain active at Hogwarts. First, let me let Hagrid speak to you."

Professor Kirke handed her purple megaphone to Hagrid who informed the students and staff gathered in Friendship Hall:

"So, " said Hagrid proudly, "I intend ter remain yer Care o' Magical Creatures teacher until the day I die."

The was a huge round of applause from the students and staff, especially the Gryffindors and most especially from James, Albus, and Lily.

That Hagrid was on excellent terms with the Potters was as well-known at Hogwarts as the fact the sun rises from the east and sets in the west.

"However, " added Hagrid, "In me later years I don't want quite so heavy a workload as I've had these many years. I am therefore resigning from the post of Keeper of the Keys, or Groundskeeper, whatever the hell yeh want ter call it, effective this nanosecond."

There was polite applause at this. Hagrid deserved to be able to take it easier in his later years while still be able to do what he loved. This balance was clearly achieved by Hagrid retaining the Care of Magical Creatures job while allowing someone else to take the Groundskeeper job.

"So," finished Hagrid, "I think Headmistress Kirke would like our new Groundskeeper to introduce himself,

Hagrid handed the purple megaphone back to Headmistress Kirke.

"Thank you, Hagrid, " said Headmistress Kirke warmly, "And congratulations on a life lived to fullest. I think it's wonderful that you can reduce your workload and take it easy a bit while still doing what you enjoy most.'

Hagrid felt a few tears slide down his cheeks at the kindly words of Hogwarts young Headmistress Kirke.

"Now, " said Headmistress Kirke happily, "Would our newest Groundskeeper please come to the staff table and present and introduce himself.

At first, the only response to this seemed to be some random motion of a weirdly shaped yellow light with no recognizable form that glided towards the staff table.

When this weirdly shaped yellow light with no recognizable form reached Headmistress Kirke, she spoke to it.

"Cancel your Disillusionment Charm, " she instructed it calmly.

Once this this weirdly shaped yellow light with no recognizable form resumed its human form, many people recognized the man standing there as Justin Finch Fletchley.

His appearance drew loud cheers and whoops from the Hufflepuff table, especially from Justin's son, Jason Finch Fletchley.

Headmistress Kirke now handed her purple megaphone to Justin who said clearly.

"First, I must thank Headmistress Kirke for offering me this outstanding opportunity. It was getting to be boring at home during the days with my wife Natasha Schwartz at work and my son Jason away at Hogwarts. Now, I will not be living at Hogwarts. I will be doing a daily commute via the Floo Network. You see, this allows Natasha and I to still see each other every night away from the hustle and bustle of Hogwarts. Natasha and I are very close spouses so spending one on one time with each other is very important to both of us. But, since Natasha's working during the day anyway, why shouldn't I accept this position. I'll admit that I abandoned the Wizarding World after the Battle of Hogwarts as I was embittered by all the death and destruction caused by Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters during the Second Wizarding War. I intended to live out my life as a muggle. I lived with my muggle parents for a few years before marrying the muggle Natasha Schwartz, who was an old elementary school friend of mine. However, the fact that we ended producing a son who is a wizard forced my hand. However, when I reconnected with the Wizarding World. I found out a few things that changed my perspective."

There was a short pause here and Justin looked over the staff table and smiled at Ernie.

"The first, " continued Justin, "Is learning that Ernie Macmillan is teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. The other was finding out that Hannah Abbott is now the Landlady of the Leaky Cauldron. Learning of the success my old Hufflepuff friends are having as adults both recaptured the joy of magic that I'd felt at age eleven for me and inspired me. When Headmistress Kirke offered this position, I couldn't say no."

All the Hufflepuffs were clapping wildly, happy to see people who came from their house achieving successful lives.

"So," went on Justin, "I will be taking over the duties that Hagrid had been responsible for in the Groundskeeper post. You'll see me around ar Hogwarts. And if you come across me, just call me Justin. My last name is too much of tongue twister."

Justin handed the purple megaphone back to Headmistress Kirke and waved at the students who waved back at him.

An old friend was the newest staff member at Hogwarts.
