I quietly looked down, from where I was perched on the trees and shily peeked on the group of trainers traveling below us. I had wanted to greet them as soon as I saw them... but that's Ash Ketchum! The Saint! He is both a Generalist Master and a Terrain Master! The one Master Drayden taught us about in the Opelucid Academy! He has a Charizard that could take on a Latias! He also possesses an Altaria and Flygon! He is so cool! Not only that but I just saw that he has new Dragon-type pokemon! A Gible and a Dratini! So cool! He will now have two Pseudo-legendary pokemon in his team! He can defeat Legendary pokemon without them, what will he be able to do with them in his team?!

Well, he will have three Pseudo-legendary pokemon, I thought with a frown. But Tyranitar is not a Dragon-type, so he is not as cool as a Dragonite and Garchomp.

"Dratini use Twister!" I heard The Saint command, making me look down with great attention. I was able to catch how Dratini neutralized a Pidove's Gust with a powerful Dragon-type move, which sent the bird crashing against a tree. But Pidove was not backing down, she rapidly marched on the ground towards Dratini, trying to hit him with a Quick Attack. I was surprised by that, as normally wild Flying-type pokemon tend to rely a lot on their wings and fying ability to fight and survive. I noticed that Ash was also impressed by this, from his pleased smirk and widened eyes. "Wrap!" Ash ordered, and Dratini moved quickly, slithering on the ground, evading the Quick Attack and wrapping himself around Pidove and immobilizing her. "Finish this with Shock Wave!" The electirc attack was the end of the wild pokemon. "Poke Ball go!" I watched as Ash threw his Poke Ball, it locked on immediately as Pidove had fainted. "All right!" Ash cheered, walking towards Dratini and kneeling on the ground. "Well done buddy!" Ash congratulated his pokemon and picked up his Poke Ball. "We already have our standar regional Flying-type pokemon," Ash comment made the rest of his group laugh, as he stood up with Dratini now wrapped around his neck as a scarf. He took out a grey Pokedex with a red Poke Ball at the bottom of the object, and proceeded to read the status of his new pokemon.

Pokemon: Pidove.

Gender: Female.

Ability: Super Luck.

Type: Normal/Flying.

Move set: Gust, Quick Attack, Air Cutter, Tailwind.

Egg moves: Defog.

NOTE: The egg move has yet to have been unlocked.

"Super Luck? Now who is lucky when it comes to pokemon abilities?" The little boy in the group teased Ash good naturally, making Ash chuckle.

"Not a bad base for a wild pokemon and Defog will be useful in battles and outside of them," the guy with the Lucario beside him commented.

"I'm already brimming with so many ideas of what to do next!" Ash exclaimed in excitement. He called out his new pokemon and gave her an Hyper Potion, she was as good as new. "Hi! Welcome to the family Pidove! I am Ash, these are my partners Pikachu, Riolu, and Dratini. We have many more traveling with us and back home. I can't wait for you to meet them all!"

"Pidove!" The brid called out happily, lightly pecking Ash on the cheek, before flying up into the sky.

For the rest of the day she flew above them, enjoying the breeze of the wind and the freedom that came with flying. A freedom I quite understood when it comes to swinging from tree to tree. However, I could not do that now. Not when I had to keep my precense a secret. I needed to find courage to present myself and ask him to mentor me. I had to make a good impression! Just look at that little boy! He could not be older than 10 and already has a full team from all the Poke Balls I caught on his belt. Not to mention, that his Ralts follows every order he gives him. My Excadrill stopped listening to me as soon as he had evolved! And as much as I love Axew, he is but a baby!

How will I be able to convince him to mentor me?! I thought in despair. Ash just had to say the word and his pokemon was on the move, smoothily taking down his opponent. I am sure he never had this kind of issue when training his Charizard, Altaria, and Flygon!

Halfway through the day, the group made a stop in a nice clearing and built their camp. I was confused for a second, there will be light for another few hours, why build their camp now? It was only after they've finished that I understood why. They were going to train! I leaned forward in excitement, only to blush and turned away when Ash and the little boy, Max I've heard, took off their shirts and pants. They changed into their training gear and began running up and now, next to the river beside their camp. They were not alone, the older guy, Riley, and their pokemon had also joined them.

There were so many rare pokemon that I was lost for a second. I quietly took out my Pokedex and looked up what kind of pokemon they were. Ash's team consisted on Pikachu, Riolu, Oshawott, Pidove, Aegislash, Torracat, Rowlet, Gible, and Dratini. Those were three regional starters and two Dragon-type pokemon... so cool! Even though, I felt a little bit dissapointed that he did not bring with him more of his older pokemon. At least, Pikach was there! He is so cute! Not to mention, totally badass! The way he had taken out Tobias' Gyarados was splendid! Aegislash was also quitte interesting, I've never seen a Ghost-type like that before. I almost did not believe it was one, if the Pokedex had not told me so.

Wait a secoond... I carefully counted the number of pokemon Ash had brought with him, which left me very confused. Those are 9 pokemon, how can he carry 9 pokemon with him? Isn't the limit 6? Well, he is The Saint, maybe he does not have a limit?

Riley seem to be strong trainer as well, his team consisted of a Lucario, Bronzong, Scizor, Empoleon, Magnezone, and Probopass. They all looked quite honorable and unshakable. No matter, how many times Max's Shuppet suddenly appeared before them out of the blue, they did not flinch and continued their trotting. As for Max he has a Ralts, a Shroomish, a Mightyena, a Shuppet, a Pikachu, and a Chikorita... no 10 years-old-boy should have a team like that! That's absurd!

Halfway through their running Max and his team gave up, I was surprised they lasted that long. Ash was surely not going easy on them and working them hard. It was kind of scary seeing the normally saintly and good-natured Ace Ranger I see in T.V, be such a spartan trainer. Ash paused for a second and showed them the stretching exercises they will be doing while the rest of them finished their own running. Even I, with all the exercise I do in the wiild was shocked by how long they were running.

So, that's the difference between a normal trainer and a champion, I mussed internally as Ash sent his team out to train side by side with Riley and his team, only Pikachu stayed behind.

"Ok, then, now that we've warmed up we will start training," Ash announced, as Max and his team straightened up and paid him careful attention. "This will not only be a training for your pokemon, but you as well Max," he warned the boy, whose eyes widened in surprise. "You possess a full team now Max, that means that the one on one training system you've been implementing in your dad's gym is not effective while on the road," Ash explained. Gym? I asked myself. The boy's dad is a Gym Leader? Is that how Ash met him? "You'll need to pratice how to train various pokemon at once, especially when they are training different moves of different types. This time around we will start slow, Pikachu will take Mightyena, Chikoriita, and your Pikachu to teach them Iron Tail, while we focus on the others. That does not mean that you will not be checking on them. You will. As for Ralts let's teach him Swift, Shroomish will be learning Poison Powder, and Shuppet Will-o-Wisp."

I looked at Ash with my jaw on the ground. Max and his team were looking at him with similar stunned expressions.

Slow... this is slow to him?! I exclaimed internally. Do I really want to join him? He is brutal!

Suddenly, Shuppet appeared in front of me. "Ah!" I screamed, as I stumbled back and fell from the tree. My quick relfexes and honed skills of a lifetime of training, allowed me to spiin in the air and land on my feet. I looked up at the sound of clapping, Pikachu and Ash were clapping while the rest were looking at me with various degrees of amusement on their expressions. "H-hi," I greeted them awkwardly.

"Hi," Ash chuckled. "I'm sorry for that, we were waitinng for you to approach us... but it seems that Shuppet did not get the memo," he jokingly glared at the ghost, who was laughing with Mightyena. Looking quite proud of his prank.

"You knew?!" I exclaimed, blushing like a tomato at having been caught.

"Two Aura Guardians and two Aura Pokemon, of course we knew," Ash deadpanned, with a raised eyebrow, that had me looking down on the ground, like a child who had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. "So, why are you following me?"

"I... I want to become and Dragon Master!" I finally gathered my courage and shouted my dream, looking at Ash in the eye. "Please train me!"

"Ok," was Ash's lackluster response.

"Ok?" I repeated slowly.

"Ok," Ash said again, lips twitching in amusement.

"Just like that?! No trial? No more questions? No test?" I demaned to know, stunned by how easy it was.

It shouldn't be this easy! I exclaiimed in my head.

"Just like that," Ash repliied, eyes shinning unaturally blue. I took a step back in surprise, but I was not frightened. The aura around Ash was the same as the one the Elders in my tribe exuded. How is that possible? I asked myself stunned. "All I need to know, your aura has already told me. Welcome to the team."

"I... thank you!" I beamed at him, when the shock had finally faded. "I am Iris! And this is my partner Axew!"
