Somewhere off the coast of Germany, Earth

1 minute earlier…

"HIII-YAAAAH!" Kimberly's body moved on its own as she sprang into her usual routine of acrobatic movements. An outstretched leg missed Scorpina's head by inches, the wicked woman swinging the curved blade with deadly precision. The Pink Ranger intercepted the strike with her bow, the sinister gleam in her opponents' eyes looking to unnerve her. "I've always dreamed of killing a Power Ranger in person!"

"Yeah? Well, keep dreaming, freakshow!" Kim shot back, nailing a knee to Scorpina's midsection and shooting her point-blank with a pink energy bolt. With the ruthless general stunned for the moment, Kim quickly surveyed the area around her. Trini was outmaneuvering Goldar easily, using her speed to counter the monster's strength much to the beast's frustration. Billy and Zack were taking on the brunt of the Putties, several gray bodies flying while vocalizing frantically. Lastly, Jason and Tommy were charging through the fray, cutting down any Putty close to them while drawing nearer to a sneering Rita.

"What are you fools doing?!" she screeched. "Quit dawdling and stop those meddlesome children!" A small group of warbling Putties charged at Kimberly, waving their arms like lunatics in the process. Kimberly quickly dealt with them with swift strikes and agile movements, a spinning kick sending one spiraling to the stone floor. A sudden snarl alerted Kim to the recovered Scorpina, swiping at the Pink Ranger with her crescent sword with dangerous speed. It was only thanks to the power granted to Kimberly that she was able to avoid the slashes until she caught Scorpina by the arm, punching her across the side and throwing her to the ground. A distant roar drew her attention back to Goldar, who had now slammed Trini to the ground and raised a foot to crush her…

Faster than a blink, Kim drew another arrow and fired into Goldar's chest plate, the miniature explosion staggering him while a snarl erupted from his lips. "Thanks, Kim!" Trini quickly said before planting her palms on the ground and ramming both heels into Goldar's chin. The Pink Ranger only nodded in response before turning her attention back to Scorpina. The Power Bow clashed against the crescent-shaped blade as Kim blocked with expert timing, swinging at Scorpina's legs to trip her up. The general only backtracked before kicking Kim in the face: a blow that would've knocked her out if it was not for her helmet, which left the Pink Ranger stunned from the strike.

A savage sneer crossed Scorpina's face, who readied her blade again… until her eyes moved past Kimberly and her stature dropped in shock. "Empress!" Kim was quick to realize what the alien had seen: the sorceress under attack. Her cry was enough to alert Goldar as well, who ceased his assault on Trini. Their time in danger of running out, Kim whirled to her friend.

"Trini! We gotta-!"

Before Kimberly could comprehend it, there was a crackling explosion and a wave of light that washed over her, drowning out whatever words rested on her tongue… and the light quickly became darkness when she blacked out.

Now

Mumbling. Voices. The… the others?

Kim's brain felt scrambled and the darkness was everywhere. What… What was that blast? Where was… argh, it hurt to think. Kimberly couldn't remember the last time she felt so disoriented. Those mumbling sounds at the edge of her hearing were starting to come through, as did the girl's blurred vision. She blinked and let out a low groan, struggling for any attempt to-

"WAKE UP!"

"AH!" The sharp cry was among one of many of Kimberly's bodily functions that slammed into full alert. Another was the sharp extent of her leg and the sounding smack that signaled a successful connection to the stranger's form. The Pink Ranger vaulted to her feet and struck a combat stance, her chest heaving heavily thanks to the adrenaline surging through her.

From what she could see, Kimberly was in a forest; the trees carrying red leaves that gave the impression of autumn. The wind had a crisp and cool feeling to it, but what caught Kim's eye was the large crater blown into the ground: the crater she stood in. Kim was about to question the hole in the ground when she looked straight ahead and saw that she was not alone in the unnatural formation.

A girl about Kim's age was holding a hand to her jaw, eyes clenched shut in pain. A tuft of orange hair topped her head and she was dressed in a black sleeveless vest with bits of red and blue accents surrounded by what looked like armor. Underneath that was a white t-shirt with a heart-shaped cutout above the breast line, and detached white sleeves rested on the arms that ended in light pink fingerless gloves. Kim also noticed a short pink skirt with a white underlayer and white-pink ankle boots but cut her examination when her brain caught up with her.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" The words came out of her mouth in a hurry as Kim neared the girl, cupping her face to inspect the damage. "A-are you okay?" A pair of jadeish eyes popped open and Kim braced herself to see scorn or irritation in the orbs, followed by the girl rambling about how Kim almost took her jaw off.

"Okay? Okay?! That was great!" she suddenly exclaimed, making Kim back away in surprise. "I mean, I could give you some pointers, but wow! Remind me not to get on your bad side!" The girl had a giddy smile instead of an upset frown, which confused Kim greatly. The Pink Ranger calmed herself down, the adrenaline wearing off before she opened her mouth to speak again.

"Uh… you sound…" How was she supposed to approach this? "...very happy for someone who had just kicked you in the face." The girl casually brushed aside the comment with that same grin plastered to her face and a dismissive wave. "Aw, that? That was nothing! I've taken harder hits in food fights!"

This girl was making absolutely no sense.

"Nora! You frightened her!" A new voice sternly cried out, drawing both girls' attention to the edge of the crater. Just behind the orange-haired girl stood another figure who appeared to be… "out of place" was Kimberly's first thought thanks to the new arrival's weapons: a spear and a shield. The stranger was decked out in bronze armor that made her look like a female Spartan minus the helmet. A pair of jade eyes glared disappointedly at the other girl, red hair tied into a waist-length ponytail flowing along the breeze.

"Oh, come on!" the giddy girl groaned. "I woke her up, didn't I?"

"Yes," the girl straight from Greek mythology sharply responded as she descended into the crater. "Which is why I offered to be more gentle than direct. Now stop crowding her and give her some space." The orange-haired girl crossed her arms with a pout before backing away, allowing the armored maiden to address Kimberly with a kind glint in her eyes. "Are you alright, ma'am?"

"Um… I'm fine," Kimberly nodded, taking in the girl's unusual appearance and hoping that she didn't travel back in time or something. "I, uh… I don't suppose you know where I am, miss…"

"This is Forever Fall. I am Pyrrha Nikos," the girl answered calmly. "My overly-cheerful partner over there is Nora Valkyrie." An enthusiastic wave came from the young woman's direction, that smile still fused to her face. Only the presence of the she-Spartan was enough to draw Kim's eyes away from the bundle of energy and reply with her own name. "Kimberly Hart."

The smile on the energetic girl- Nora- immediately dropped, as did the frantically-moving arm. "Huh? Uh… what kind of color am I supposed to think of from a name like that? I just know it's not a word for pink…" The question gave Kimberly pause, which didn't seem to sit well with the other two girls with her. "Color? What?"

"Maybe you have a concussion," Pyrrha guessed through her confusion. "Do you, by chance, happen to remember what you were fighting? Or at the very least, recall the last thing you can?"

The cave… Rita and her minions… should Kim tell them about that? No, she shouldn't. She needed something else, something they could believe without figuring out who she was. A wild animal, maybe? An earthquake?

"And just where did you get that outfit?" Nora asked with an impressed smirk. "Cuz I gotta see what else they have!" The need for a cover story was promptly thrown aside, the girl's question making Kim pause again. Curious, the Pink Ranger looked down at herself… to see that she was not only unmorphed but wearing something painstakingly different than what she chose to wear for school today. Her hair was still tied in a short ponytail- albeit Pyrrha's was quick to put hers to shame- and that was the only thing that remained the same. A hot-pink vest rested on Kim's chest, the garment trailing into elbow-length sleeves. Kimberly also noticed skintight bubblegum pink leggings that vanished beneath a pink short skirt with white trimmings and ended on a pair of bright pink sneakers with white laces and soles. The entire outfit seemed casual, but there was a certain flair to it that Kim couldn't quite piece together. It seemed durable, yet not durable enough to hinder movement by much.

If Kimberly didn't know better, it felt like she could fight in this thing.

That wasn't all; the Pink Ranger felt a weight on her back that was supported by a bright pink strap across the vest. It didn't take Kimberly long to learn that it was a quiver filled with arrows that her right hand could reach easily, and with it…

Kim moved her other hand over her left shoulder until she felt a grip, retrieving the object with ease. A sleek pink compound bow with sharp steel ends- ends that resembled a pterosaur's wings- revealed itself to the Pink Ranger and the other two girls. A thick pink wire made up the bow's string and a circular sight for long-range shots was presented near the weapon's grip, but what caught the teen's eyes was a small button hidden near the grip.

But now wasn't the time to think about that.

"Whoa, a bow?" Nora chuckled. "How very retro of you." Kim rolled her eyes, trying to suppress a groan. This coming from a girl who has a literal Spartan as an ally. And speaking of allies, maybe these two could be useful to her. "Hey, um… Pyra, was it?"

"Pyrrha."

"Close enough. Listen, I need to find some friends of mine. One girl and four boys. Do you have any suggestions on where I can start?" Kim's proposal appeared to intrigue the girls, but not how the Ranger imagined it. Nora, for one, gave her a confusing look. "Y'know, I think she may be messed up in the head, Pyrrha. Last I checked, Huntsmen are in teams of four, not six."

"Then perhaps she is no ordinary Huntress," Pyrrha theorized. "Which makes it our duty to aid her." Directing her full attention to Kimberly, Pyrrha stood like a soldier awaiting a command. "Miss Hart, me and the rest of my team will help in any way we can. The others are nearby, and once we finish our current mission we can take you to Beacon."

Kim paused again. "Beacon?"

"Our school. We'll get your story straight there. But for now, follow us. My team leader will want to hear about you." Pyrrha turned on her heel at those final words and made her way out of the crater. Kimberly holstered the bow and moved to follow her… and was bombarded with the energetic voice of Nora before she made another step.

"So! What academy did ya go to?"

"I-I'm sorry?"

You know, where you went to learn how to fight! You do fight, right? That combat skirt's to die for! Ooh! What's the biggest Grimm you took down with that bow? Wait, actually, never mind, you'd need your whole team for that. How did your team come together, anyway? What kind of initiation was it? Did you have to kill a Nevermore? I had to, and lemme tell ya, it was the best test ever! I remember-"

Good lord, it was babysitting all over again. Kim did her best to try and drown Nora's ranting by gathering her thoughts. Forever Fall… she hadn't heard of a forest by that name. It was rather fitting thanks to the red leaves she saw on every tree. But come to think of it, autumn was still a long way away. Kim's previous thought of time travel returned to her but in a different manner. Perhaps she was in a coma… but for how long?

"Nora, will you please stop rambling?" Pyrrha sighed from further up the path. "Our new friend's been through a lot." Nora was quick to whirl on her partner. "But she's not our friend yet! I'm just fixing that by getting to know her!"

"Here's one thing you need to know about me," Kim was happy to oblige. "I don't do well with blabbermouths." Nora seemed to get the message and gave the Pink Ranger an apologetic smile… before her eyes darted to something Kim couldn't identify. "Uh… one more question, though?"

Kimberly sighed. "Fine. One more."

"What's a 'Power Ranger'?"

That question halted everything within Kimberly's body, her eyes wider than dinner plates. The girl's mind was fighting the urge to break out in panic; a losing battle. Trying to keep her cool, Kimberly slowly turned to Nora. "What… did you just say?" she whispered, the question on the verge of being barely audible. Nora just gestured to Kimberly's body with an inquisitive look. "That's what the thing on your back says."

The thing on my back? Kim spun to look over her shoulder… and caught a glimpse of a familiar black object with an unmistakable golden glint. Upon recognizing what it was, her heart may have well shut down. "Oh god…"

"So…" The curiousness mixed with slight impatience in Nora's tone did nothing to ease the sweat forming on Kimberly's brow. Her brain raced for an acceptable explanation other than "I'm a superhero that fights evil aliens in a dinosaur robot", but nothing was standing out thanks to her stupid panicking mind. "Um… uh… I…"

"Nora!" Pyrrha's sharp command spared Kim from suffering any more humiliation, as well as drawing away the girl's uncomfortable stare. The she-Spartan had her weapons drawn and was now standing at the edge of a clearing. From within, Kimberly could hear the faint sounds of… shouting?

"Jaune and Ren need our help! Come on!" She charged into the open space and the other two girls quickly followed, Kimberly readying herself for whatever lay within. The Pink Ranger immediately identified the current danger… and had to make sure she was seeing it right. Two boys- presumably the other team members Pyrrha had mentioned- were strafing around a giant black and white snake monster… with two hissing heads that snapped at their prey. The first, a blonde with gear fit for a knight, hopped away from a pair of snapping jaws and struck at it with his sword, forcing the beast back. The other, a dark-haired teen in a green tailcoat, vaulted over a midnight-colored length and fired upon the other head with twin jade pistols equipped with small blades.

By Kim's side, Nora was lit up in excitement. "You know what, tell me later! I gotta crush me some skulls!" The girl whipped out something that configured into a massive hammer and bolted for the beast with a loud battle cry all before Kim could stop her. The girls were quick to join the fray, attacking whatever they could reach while keeping away from the monster's gigantic jaws.

On the plus side… it gave Kimberly a distraction.

The teen's confusion turned into amusement, a smirk crossing her features while she shook her head. "A giant two-headed snake? Not your best work, Finster." Her hand hovered close to her morpher. "Well, you wanna know what I have to say about that? I say…" Whipping out the device with a ferocious look in her eye, Kimberly waved her arms in a clock-like motion before pushing the morpher outward.

"IT'S MORPHIN TIME! PTERODACTYL!"

Pressing the switch at the exact moment she gave the call, Kim braced herself for the instant energy surge and the heads-up display provided by her helmet. However, instead of the bright pink flash of light that usually came with the morph… Kimberly felt absolutely nothing. Her gaze torn from the giant snake monster, Kim blinked in confusion while the four other teens kept it busy.

"Huh?" She must not have pressed it as hard as she thought. "Uh… I said, PTERODACTYL!" Another shout and another press… but still nothing. Kim kept pressing down on the switch a few more times, only to hear nothing but clicking sounds. "Wha… What's the matter with you?!" She shouted, smacking the morpher a few times before shaking it in her hands. "Giant monster! Right there! Now morph me already! PTERODACTYL!"

The Power Morpher in her hands still remained inactive. At this point, Kim would be more upset if all she got was a pink fizzle of energy like it was a fried lightbulb. The Pink Ranger wanted nothing more than to inspect the device to see what was causing it to malfunction, but the distant hissing of the snake and battle shouts from the nearby teens put an end to that plan.

With a disheartened sigh, Kim pocketed the morpher away and readied her bow, turning her eyes to the slithery beast. "Alright… guess we're doing this the old-fashioned way!" The Pink Ranger reached for her quiver and drew an arrow with a red rim below the arrowhead, nocking it to the bow and pulling her elbow back. She recalled utilizing physical arrows against Rita's monsters before, so this shouldn't be too much of a problem for her. Kimberly focused on the black head of the beast that was currently trying to avoid the sharp end of Pyrrha's spear.

A sharp whistle from the girl's throat opened her up to a nice clean shot on the snake's head, the monster hissing in pain when the arrow exploded against its skull. "Over here, fang-face! Or… fang-faces? Whatever, just come get me!" The girl sprinted for the reptilian monstrosity, both heads now focused on the new arrival. Sure, the beast was big, but it wasn't Zord-level big (although it may have teetered on the edge of it). But being big meant it was slow, and Kimberly would take advantage of that.

Actually… scratch that. Kim learned the hard way that the snake was freakishly fast despite its size. The girl needed to be just as quick: rolling away from lunging bites, vaulting over a massive serpentine body that blended in a mixture of black, white, and gray, and taking shots at any opportunity she could find. Every arrow she fired burst against the snake's heads, agitating them as much as they did hurt them. The girl somersaulted to the right to avoid falling victim to another bite, catching a glimpse at the monster's fangs. She didn't want to know if the thing was venomous, partly because the large teeth would finish her before the poison did. Kimberly launched herself off the white head when it bit down, firing another storm of arrows on both heads before sliding down the black half's length, somersaulting off the body when the white head snapped forward again. With its target gone, the white head ended up sinking its fangs into the creature's body, causing both heads to hiss in pain while Kim resumed strafing around the serpentine-like beast.

Faint voices reached her ears, and Kim didn't need to fully listen to understand what was being said. The boys were probably asking about who the new girl was… or asking themselves how she was staying alive for this long. Whatever doubts they were having, Kim made sure to put an end to them as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the only thing that ended was her movement, as the midnight length of the beast's dark half coiled around Kimberly, confining her to a small space and leaving her vulnerable to the beast's next attack. For a brief second, Kimberly debated firing another arrow down the snake's maw…

…but a pink blast detonated against the dark head, staggering it and turning both pairs of crimson eyes to the attacker. With a giddy smile on her face, Nora faced down the beast with a grenade launcher that she promptly fired at the other head. Hissing and snarling in rage, the monster abandoned Kimberly and resumed its previous attack on the other four teens, allowing the Pink Ranger a moment of respite.

She didn't want to get too carried away while fighting this thing. If there was one thing Kimberly needed to keep track of here, it was her limited ammunition: something she never had to deal with as a Ranger. She'd already lost count of how many arrows she had fired, or how many did enough damage. She either needed a weakness to exploit… or an alternative. But seeing as to how none of those opportunities presented itself, Kimberly retrieved another arrow from her quiver and examined it. She remembered seeing traces of fire among successful hits so far, and her arrows normally exploded… but that was when she was morphed. And those explosions weren't pink like that grenade launcher Nora was now firing like mad. Where was she hiding that thing, anyway?

No, she'd find that out another time. Kimberly turned her eyes back to her arrow, paying attention to the red rim she had spied below the arrowhead. That… didn't seem normal. Nor did it look like a fancy decoration. With curiosity taking over, Kimberly gave the arrowhead a good twist to the right. Maybe these arrows had variations?

A tiny click signaled the answer Kim was looking for. The rim beneath the arrowhead had gone from red to blue, making gears turn in the girl's head. If the red arrows produced fiery explosions, then maybe…

Nocking that arrow, Kim aimed at the white snake head that had torn away the blonde's shield and left the boy defenseless. The Pink Ranger released her hold on the arrow, sending it flying as the snake lunged at the young man. Rather than violently detonate on contact, the arrow instantly solidified the snake's mouth shut in a layer of ice. The head then proceeded to thrash about wildly in an attempt to break free, the grateful blonde giving Kim a thumbs-up before rushing to retrieve his shield.

Elemental arrows? Wow, Kim was liking this already! Now if only she had an easier way to toggle through selections… but first things first, she had to make a snake lose more than its skin! The creature was already circling her again, this time with both heads coming at once. Planting her feet together, Kimberly hopped over the two heads when they struck, making them slam into each other.

Or… she was supposed to hop. What happened instead was her body shooting into the air like a rocket with a pink trail of light behind her, earning a yelp of surprise from the Pink Ranger as she was sent sailing. "Whoa, whoa, whoooaaa!" Kimberly came back down hard, bouncing once before rolling to a stop on her back. She swore she didn't put that much strength into the leap, but two more questions were taking the place of how she just did that. The first: why was she not as hurt from a fall like that? Nothing seemed bruised or broken to her.

And the second: was it just her… or did she catch her body shimmering when she hit the ground?

Kimberly only remembered the big snake monster when the sound of its hissing reached her ears. She instinctively rolled her body away so that its fangs were buried in the dirt. Springing back to her feet, Kim quickly drew another arrow and shot the black head directly in the eye. The tiny explosion sent the head reeling, allowing Kim another moment to collect herself.

"Pyrrha, help the Huntress! Nora, get its attention! And Ren, you're with me!"

"You got it, Jaune!" The hyperactive girl replied. "This King Taijitu's about to get dethroned!" Another volley of grenades rattled the serpentine beast while Pyrrha rushed to Kimberly's side with her spear and shield at the ready. "Doing a good job so far, Kimberly, but you've never gone up against a Grimm like this, have you?"

"Um… no?" Kimberly had no clue what a "Grimm" was but now didn't seem like the right time to ask that question. "But I'll manage!"

"I hope that you do," Pyrrha added. "At the rate you're going, you'll deplete all your arrows. Does your weapon have another form?" This time, Kimberly couldn't suppress the confusion that broke out. "Another form? What do you-?"

"HEEEE-YAAAAH!" Nora smashed her hammer down on the creature's white head and bounded away from the other half with her tongue sticking out. The boy in green continued to lay down fire while slicing at the slithering mass of flesh nearby, rolling from a pair of snapping jaws. Pyrrha wasted no time in charging for the beast, hurling her spear like a javelin into the dark head's neck. "Just get up close and personal if you can!"

Up close? Kim could handle that. But how was she supposed to do it? The Pink Ranger examined her bow again until her gaze rested on the nearly-unnoticeable button near the grip. It seemed as good an idea as any: after all, what harm could come from it? Kimberly rested her thumb on the button and pressed down…

…and the bowstring retracted into the weapon like a line being reeled in. The instant Kim's mind registered that, the bow suddenly split in half at the arrow rest, the bottom portion stabbing into the dirt. It missed Kim's feet by inches, leaving the Pink Ranger with nothing but the top half of the bow… which now resembled a sharp sword-like armament.

"Whoa…" Kim whispered, picking up the other blade and feeling how light the weapons felt in her grip. She held the grips at a reverse angle while she looked over the new weapons. They had elongated and were now the length of her arms, the blades slightly curved inward to give off the impression of a pterodactyl's wings. The grips were tucked within the weapons themselves, ensuring Kimberly's hands were well-protected. Thus, the edge of the blades ran down the entire length of the weapon's outside face. The Pink Ranger was eager to take these new toys for a test drive… and luckily, a willing candidate was nearby.

Kim sprinted towards the snake beast with the blades behind her back, her eyes landing on the blonde knight-like figure whose teammates were protecting him. "Hey, John! Set me up!" The boy spun around with a brief look of confusion. "Wh-who, me?"

"Yeah, you!" Kim shouted. "Launch me with the shield!"

"Oh! Okay!" The boy crouched into position and raised his defenses just as Kimberly neared him. The Pink Ranger hopped atop the shield and allowed the blonde to push upwards, aiding her leap as another pink comet-like trail marked her path. At the arc of her ascent, Kimberly set her sights on the black head that had just been bashed into the ground by Nora, who noticed the other girl and formulated a plan. Kimberly dove back down and spun like a ballerina, her twin blades twirling with her like a weaponized top. Nora swung her hammer like a golf club when the dark head lunged at her again, reeling the snake's head upward from the blow…

…and leaving it wide open for Kimberly to cut clean through the neck, decapitating that head in one fell swoop. The Pink Ranger slid to a stop with her blades glinting in the sunlight, silently hoping that this thing wasn't a Hydra-like creature that could replace that head with two more. Thankfully, only a single hissing snarl of agony came from the sole remaining head, the stump of its symbiotic partner a bright red and the black head disintegrating into nothingness. Seeking vengeance against the one who had stolen the other head, the white snake lunged at Kimberly only to receive a swift slash across the face. Another pained hiss escaped its throat… which was quickly silenced by Kimberly burying both blades into its skull. Its massive body ceased all movement and the snake's red eyes started to go dark, the body evaporating when the Pink Ranger yanked her weapons from the head.

Before long, no sign of the beast remained in the clearing and Kimberly joined the blades together by the ends, causing them to reconfigure back into their bow state. Placing the bow on her back and readjusting the quiver, Kimberly shot a thankful smirk at the blonde. "Nice one, John."

His weapons also sheathed, the blonde just scratched his head nervously. "It's Jaune, actually. And you're welcome." Kimberly only shrugged. "Whatever. Everybody okay?" The other boy- Ren, if she overheard correctly- studied Kimberly with focused magenta eyes. "Hmm… Pyrrha, where did you say you found her?"

Kimberly didn't catch what the she-Spartan's reply was, because something about Ren looked… familiar to her. No, not familiar, it was more of a reminder. A boy in green… wielding a knife…

Her heart skipped a beat. "Tommy…"

She couldn't believe she almost forgot. Kim was so caught up in fighting that big snake, she nearly forgot about the others. She needed to find them soon… but she didn't know the lay of the land. Nothing about the place looked the least bit familiar, and she would've remembered a forest called Forever Fall. What Kimberly needed now was a guide, somebody that could keep her from getting lost. But as luck would have it, she just found that somebody. Well, a bunch of somebodies.

"Hey, you guys mind if I tag along?" Kim barely got the question out before Nora loudly gave her answer. "Of course, we don't mind! We were just on our way back to Beacon anyway! Have you been there? Well, if not, you're gonna love it! Best pancakes this side of Sanus! You should try them, they-"

Kim promptly shut Nora up by planting a palm over the girl's mouth. "A 'no, we don't mind' would've been fine, thank you." She finished for the girl before facing the other three teens. John- correction, Juane smiled warmly at the girl with Pyrrha and Ren at his side. "Well, you seem like you've been out here a long time. Feels only necessary to bring you back. You look like you can hold your own, but… a single Huntress can only do so for so long out here."

"Thanks," Kim replied, making a note to look into what he had just called her later. The bow was a notable hunting tool, but she wouldn't consider herself a girl who hunted for sport. "And speaking of being alone, I need to find some friends of mine."

"Well, I think we can help with that, miss…" Jaune paused before turning his eyes to Pyrrha. "Uh, what did you say her name was?"

"I'm Kimberly," the Pink Ranger answered for her. "And my friends are a… colorful group. There's six of us, myself included."

"Six?" Jaune echoed. "So, are you some kind of special forces Huntsmen or…"

"S-something like that," Kimberly sheepishly admitted. All this talk of Huntsmen and Huntresses… did these people know of the Power Rangers? She didn't want to risk revealing her identity this easily, but maybe she could work around their logic. That is if she could wrap her head around it. "Where's this Beacon place?"

"We'll lead the way," Pyrrha confidently answered. "Once we're there, you can get some rest and tell us more about these friends of yours. But it's a bit of a hike, even more so if we had found you further west."

"That doesn't mean things are easier," Jaune added. "Let's move, Team JNPR, and keep your eyes peeled for any more Grimm." The teens all began walking out of the clearing with Kimberly taking up the rear, Nora giving her an appreciative pat on the shoulder alongside yet another happy smile. It would've been rude for Kimberly not to smile back, but that false expression hid the many mysteries nesting in her brain.

She needed to find the other Rangers not because she was worried about them. She needed some sense of familiarity in this… this strange place. And once she was anchored to the team once again, she needed more answers. What had Rita done? Where had the Power Rangers ended up? Why wasn't her morpher working? Hopefully, after Kim got her thoughts together and arrived at this "Beacon" location, she would find her friends and the answers she so desperately needed.

And after that… she had no idea.
