looks at God Mode

Sees that it somehow won't stop growing and continues to grow

it's self sustaining now (refering to how the favs and follows somehow continued to grow)

On a more serious note, I am so, so sorry.

While writing this chapter I suddenly lost all motivation to continue writing this particular story. I tried, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I also couldn't focus well at all because of Monsoon season, which hasn't been fun. I deeply, deeply apologize for the wait, and for the payoff to be so little.

I've realized I also struggle with skipping things. As in I want to skip things, but not everything, if that makes sense.

Anyways, that was off topic. I am so sorry you all had to wait this long. I can't make any promises that it won't happen again but I will do my best to make sure it doesn't.

Now uh… Reviews.

Kane: Ah, thanks my guy.

Guest 7-16; Chapter 2: Interesting proposal. Gotta think on that one.

A guy named E: Thanks! I'm glad some people like it, even with all the screw-ups.

Mewtwo: A wild Mewtwo appeared! Thanks dude.

JSmooth: Yep.

Ben Turner1: Yep! The Super Solar Flare, one of the most powerful moves Superman has ever used.

Mark the Mark: Forever in an infinite cycle.. Until he has his armrests removed.

Animefan: DAMNIT! That's a good idea. Should've thought of that.

Uh.. now that that's done, let's get you guys some of the stuff you've been kindly and patiently waiting for the past two months for. I'm sorry if the quality is bad; Didn't even get anyone to read this one, make sure it was alright.

The Class was in the locker room. Midoriya knew he was going to do well, so that soothed any worries he had. He knew what the first challenge was going to be, and that was the Obstacle course; they did it every year. Then there was the second one, which was actually randomized, so that would definitely be interesting. Oh, and he had to do the opening speech. Turns out if you get first place; You have the speech. Midoriya found that pretty cool. Now—

"Midoriya."

Midoriya spun around, and found Todoroki. The male twin, to be exact. His twin actually seemed to be looking at him with confusion. Silent confusion, but confusion. In fact, there entire class was looking at him.

"Objectively.." The Bi-colored hair boy began, "You are stronger than me. I think you may be even stronger than All Might. But.. I won't let that stop me from beating you. I will beat you, Midoriya." 'I just hope it won't be at the cost of my vow.' That last part went unspoken, but the tone of voice he used tipped Shoka off that there was possibly a double meaning. Shinso also picked that up, though he didn't actually have a clue to what that double meaning was.

Thankfully, it went unnoticed by Midoriya, who gave a nod, and a smile.

"I wouldn't expect anything less, Todoroki. But I won't let you take a win easily. I'm here to win, too."

Mina was nodding, her inner drama-craving latching on and holding on with a vicious conviction, while Kirishima moved in, putting a hand on Todoroki's shoulder. "Hey, not now, we're almost about to go!"

Todoroki simply shook Kirishima's hand off, walking away, while Shinso sighed and stood up. He clapped once, getting everyone's attention, and causing Todoroki to stop.

"Like Todoroki, I'm going to beat you guys. I'm going to prove I deserve my place in the hero course." He declared, to which the entire class nodded, including Todoroki. Bakugo of course scoffed. 'Stupid extras.. thinking they're going to win.'

"HEY!" The Audience cheered. The classes began making their way out to the field, Midoriya leading Class 1-A.

"FIRST WE HAVE THE SAME CLASS WHO HAD THEIR TESTED THEIR METTLE AGAINST VILLAINS AND WON! CLASS 1-A OF THE HERO COURSE!" Present Mic introduced, to which the crowd cheered again. Midoriya was too busy running his speech over in his head to notice, while Kirishima was actually feeling a bit flustered from the attention. Bakugo reveled in the attention.

"AND NEXT IN THE HERO COURSE, WHILE NOT HAVING BEEN PUSHED LIKE 1-A, CLASS 1-B HAS JUST AS MUCH TALENT! GIVE IT UP FOR CLASS 1-B OF THE HERO COURSE!" The crowd cheered as the class entered the field, Itsuka leading them. She was focused on the Festival, but couldn't help but wave when she saw the tuft of green hair that belonged to Midoriya. Of course, he didn't notice, but she didn't care. … Okay maybe a little.

After that, the rest of the classes were introduced. Mei was determined to at least get to the battle segment. She had to show off her babies to companies, after all! The business course students took to the sides of the stadium and began doing what they did best; Analyzing. And that's when the entire stadium was enraptured by the appearance of Midnight; The R-rated hero. She was the referee.

"Time for the player pledge!" That knocked Midoriya out of his thought process. He looked up at the podium and waited for her to call him up. "Representing the students is Izuku Midoriya from Class 1-A!"

Midoriya inhaled, his fellow students blinking in surprise, and agreement. The other students also blinked in shock. Unknown to Midoriya, they had paid Class 1-A a visit, and didn't even see him there. He walked forward, his hands held in fists. To the outside world, he looked calm and collected. To those with telepathic quirks? … Well…

'OH MY GOD THIS IS HAPPENING! Okay, you can do this! Just focus on the speech! Oh god, I can't mess this up. At least it's short? Still, this is so nerve wracking!' To those who could read minds it was sheer panic.

He stepped up the stairs, and took the microphone from the stand, closing his eyes for a moment, his shoulders tensing before relaxing. Bakugo squinted his eyes, while Iida held out hope for their class representative despite his normally somewhat-nervous behavior. Up in the stands, Yagi Toshinori, All Might, felt some pride that his student was up there, while anxious for what his speech was.

Midoriya's eyes slowly opened, the internal panic all but gone. Everyone was at the edge of their seats now.

"I pledge that we will do our best; to be the best, and to be all we can be, whether that be an engineer, a normal citizen, or as a future hero. We're here today not to prove that we're better than each other, we're here to prove that we deserve to be here. To show that we, all of us, as U.A. Students, deserve to be here! We'll show you that we all have the potential to become a hero! We are the future, and we're going to show you that you have nothing to fear… Why? Because…"

All Might's eyes sparkled in recognition.

-Flashback-

"And I want you to tell the world 'I am here!'"

"I promise, All Might! I'll tell the world.."

-End of Flashback-

"We are here!" He shot his left arm up for emphasis, the crowd roaring in response. Midnight's smirk grew dangerously, and Bakugo found a grin forming on his face. Toshinori smiled, and gave a nod, feeling proud of his student. Shoka's eyes glimmered in silent admiration, and Shoto's eyes squinted in response. The general education classes gave off a positive response, and Mei smiled at the nod to the Engineers of the support course.

"THAT SPEECH REALLY TURNED ME ON!" Midnight shouted, much to the horror and confusion of the students. Midoriya, who had just gotten back to the rest of his class, only blinked slowly upon hearing that. "Now let's get started! Up first is the qualifier round!"

A wall in the Stadium fell, revealing a passage. "THE OBSTACLE COURSE!" Midoriya nodded. They chose the obstacle course every year, the catch? It was different every time. Sure, you'll see a section used previously, but never in the same spot or with the same sections. The students all lined up at the entryway, Midoriya making sure to be at the forefront.

"3…"

Shoto's right arm twitched. Shoka's left arm did the same. Ojiro's tail wagged up and down once. Shinso cracked his neck, insulting some meatheads from General Education and then taking control of them.

"2…"

Bakugo's hands began to start sparkling, a ferocious grin coming onto his face. Momo's shoulder began to sparkle. Mina's feet went through the soles of her shoes. Shinso had his people pick him up.

"1…"

Green lightning crackled around Midoriya, none of it hitting the other students, but getting close. His eyes glowed a bright green with the lightning, his hair spiking slightly.

"GO!"

Shoto's ice shot out from underneath his foot in less than a second, Shinso jumped from the people holding him up, Bakugo blasted upwards, Ojiro shot upwards, having learned from watching the first battle trail, and Shoka's heat negated the ice entirely. But then the ice at the front was shattered, and the students were all forced to take a step back as Midoriya shot forward, sending a powerful gust of wind towards the other students, and Shinso almost went flying backwards because of it.

Midoriya left a trail of dust in his wake. The robots up ahead couldn't even register anything before being shattered to oblivion, pieces of them flying down. The Zero Pointers were torn apart, the students that had barely left the entrance feeling the zero pointers collapse and shake the ground. The Audience watching felt a sense of awe and horror form as they watched the barely noticeable green streak fly through the obstacle course. The drones were unable to keep up after that, except for the gigantic cloud of pink that exploded (quite literally) into existence.

Present Mic's face was indescribable. Aizawa took a picture of it to savor this moment. Of course, he snapped out of it after that.

"Good god, what are they feeding kids these days?!"

"Nothing new; Midoriya's just an anomaly."

The rest of the students were having their own fair bit of trouble. Shoto took the opportunity in the chaos to slide forward on his ice, only to be followed by his sister on her own ice slide. They were followed by Mina, who was sliding on her acid, Aoyama, who threw himself with his laser, basically, Momo, who had launched herself with a pole, Bakugo, who was currently flying using his quirk (and cursing out "that useless deku"), and Ojiro, who bounced to avoid the ice wave. Kirishima had simply jumped as high as he possibly could. The ice then shattered after Kyoka stabbed her ear jacks into the ground and hit it with her heartbeat.

"I've seen you use that trick before, Todoroki!" Ojiro yelled as he hit the ground with a roll, before running as fast as he could.

"STUPID FUCKING HALF AND HALF! YOU THINK THAT'S GOING TO STOP ME?!" Bakugo screamed over his explosions, causing Shoto to look back and actually quirk an eyebrow upwards. He quickly looked back and swerved to the side, barely managing to avoid the wreckage of a robot. It's eye blinked on and off, not that Shoto noticed. Or tried to notice.

Shoka just tried to avoid the wreckage. Bakugo flew over it, too blinded by rage to recognize the absolute graveyard beneath his feet. Momo ran around the wreckage, Kirishima ran straight through it after hardening his entire body. Iida was running through the graveyard, his engines glowing a light yellow.

"W-Well this WAS supposed to be the Robo-Inferno.." Present Mic said weakly, his honest to god confusion and horror being interrupted by Aizawa's simple, but amazing statement.

"In first place is Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A."

The crowd cheered, Toshinori gaped in amazement, and Musutafu experienced flooding from the river flowing from the Midoriya apartment. And the students in the obstacle course, almost every single one of them, froze in place. He.. he was done? Already?

A gigantic explosion knocked a good chunk of the students off their feet, Tetsutetsu of class 1-B barely managed to stay up, and Tokoyami used Dark Shadow to brace himself. Bakugo flew into the air, his powerful explosion being more than enough to do so.

"DEEEEKUUUUUU!!" He all but roared, causing a majority of the students remaining on their feet to sweatdrop at the display, before darting forward, realizing the race was still on.

Present Mic was speechless for the first time in his life, and Aizawa reveled in this fact. He took this opportunity to explain the next portion of the race when a student accidentally fell into the pit, only being saved by a drone.

"The second obstacle, the Fall. If you fall, you're disqualified."

"Such a bland statement!" The crowd cried.

Needless to say, no one fell into the Fall after that.

"And finally, the third, or what used to be the third, obstacle. The Minefield."

Shoto's ice bridge made him immune to the absolute battlefield that was the minefield. The entire area was uneven, craters making up the entirety of what used to be the minefield. Shoka was also immune, as was Bakugo, although, if anyone paid close enough attention they would see the strain on his face. Mei was using her gadgets to try and get through the field as fast as possible, and Kendo was simply running through it. It was like they had traded in the minefield for a portion of the moon.

Shoto crossed the Finish line, followed by Bakugo who barely managed to explode past Shoka… and he promptly fell and let out a growl of pain. His arms throbbed painfully. Midoriya was by his side in a moment, asking if he was okay, only irritating the blonde further. When he asked if he needed help getting up, he got an explosion to the face. Or, would have, if Midoriya didn't blow and somehow produce ice, encapsulating Bakugo's hand. Now everyone who was around or watching was interested, especially Shoka and Shoto, and a certain hot-headed hero. Midoriya's expression was one of sheer confusion, and worry. He didn't even know he could do that.

'My quirk really is just Superman's powers..!'

He was then weakly hit by an absolutely exhausted Uraraka, her thanking him for taking out the robots but tiredly angry about the craters he had left in the minefield. Iida came in, his engines finally cooling, much to his relief because oh good god it burned. Izuku swore he saw a girl with vines for hair come in, followed by a pissed off Jiro.

"Midoriya…"

Midoriya begged for forgiveness. He was not to receive any.

He was thankfully pulled away by an absolutely ecstatic Mei, who was happy to be able to use so many of her inventions. Shinso came up next, and completely avoided Midoriya, his frustration nearly bubbling to the surface but kept under that cool expression of his. His aura did not reflect such coolness.

Almost all of Class 1-A made it, the entirety of Class 1-B made it, Mei was the only Support Course student, and then there were some General Studies students. Once everyone made it, Midnight went ahead and stood atop the podium again. The screen began to spin, the next event about to be chosen. Mineta… did not make it.

"The second round of the First year U.A. Sports Festival is…"

Midoriya wondered which one this was. Unlike the obstacle course, which was just random obstacles, this one was almost always an entirely new event, with varying rules every time. Thankfully, Midnight gave him his answer.

"Is a Battle Royale with the Top 42 from the first round!"

This.. wasn't something Midoriya was expecting, but this was nothing he couldn't handle. Not unless every single student who made it went after him. Actually… that was likely. Oh crap. A point system was introduced, the 2nd place being worth 250 points. If he was right, because of the increase of each place, he should really be worth 40–

"Izuku Midoriya's 1st place spot is worth Ten Million Points!"

.

.

.

You could hear a pin drop from the silence that came over the students. And then he felt it. Everyone who qualified, slowly turning their heads towards him and glaring. If he wasn't a true target beforehand, he was now.

Over in a certain Apartment complex, a certain green-haired mother passed out, and up in the stands, Toshinori felt that the boy now understood what first place was. What it really was. When you're at the top… Everyone wants your place.

The students were instructed to head inside for a few minutes. Midoriya stayed quiet, his green eyes glowing with thought. It seemed that some of the students were planning on teaming together to take care of him, if what he heard was accurate. He was out across the stadium, currently cleaning up from all the dust and smoke and oil he was caked in. So much for the white of the UA uniform.

"So.. what do you think of our chances at beating Midoriya and getting that ten million points?" Kaminari asked his class, to which he was met with stares. Shinso spoke first.

"I can probably take him out with my quirk, but he knows it, so he won't respond. Unless you guys manage to distract him enough."

"Wait wait, aren't we trying to get points ourselves? Why would we work together in a battle royale?" Kaminari complained, to which Bakugo replied with an eerie calmness.

"Because if we don't, he could beat all of our asses while we fight each other."

Silence filled the room. If Bakugo of all people was willing to work with others when he made it clear he didn't like to, they knew it was serious. Not that they needed much reminder after how Midoriya handled the obstacle course. Shoto put his hand on his chin, leaning forward.

"Alright. Let's plan."

When the students were called back outside, the entire Arena was changed. The actual stadium was raised, while the dirt that made up the ground was turned into concrete. Midoriya was instructed to go into the center by Midnight, and he did so. Everyone else spread out, but everyone had their eyes on Midoriya. Even Mei seemed more serious than normal, her smile seeming somewhat dimmer than normal. Shoka and Shoto were positioned on either side of Midoriya, a few dozen feet away. Midoriya couldn't help but notice that they were the closest two.

Itsuka and her class all agreed to plan together, similarly to Class 1-A, even if the other class didn't know it. Everyone shifted uncomfortably as they waited to start. Present Mic seemed to recover from his earlier amazement, coming back full blast.

"WEEEELLLCOME BACK DEAR LISTENERS TO THE SECOND EVENT OF THE FIRST YEAR U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL!" The crowd cheered, to which Mic took with glee and Aizawa took with.. wait was he sleeping? Hizashi smacked his friend on the arm, causing the black haired man to wake up. "THIS EVENT WILL BE A BATTLE ROYALE The rules are simple! Knock down an opponent, either out of bounds or until they give up or are unable to give up, and you'll earn their points! Thanks to these cameras, we'll know exactly who takes down who!"

The crowd cheered again, much louder this time, much to Midoriya's annoyance. Midnight then came out, on a podium much higher than the last one. She waved her whip, before slamming it forward.

"START!"

SHINKK

The entire stadium- No, Japan, was taken by complete surprise when both Todoroki twins slammed their feet down, their ice slamming into Midoriya and each other and growing upwards, creating a giant iceberg. Class 1-B was caught off guard, as was the rest of the competing students and the entire stadium. Kyoka ran up and began sending her heartbeat through her ear jacks gently enough where it wouldn't shatter the ice but enough that it would disorient Midoriya. The entire class was not only doing this for the points, but to eliminate their biggest threat. Shoto and Shoka's sides were bristling with frost, but Shoka melted her's off. Shoto was confident this would work.

"WH-WHOA! Looks like Midori—" Present Mic began, but was interrupted by a loud THOOM. Toshinori was simply watching, staying silent. The teachers around him were also silent, but more out of confusion than actually knowing where it came from.

Jirou took back her jacks with a scream, holding her ears, much to the confusion of the other students, before another thoom happened and the glacier cracked. The Audience, the students, everyone who was watching was taken aback as another thoom worsened the cracks. Jirou was wincing as she held her ears, while Shoka and Shoto were watching intently, though both were clearly shocked to their cores. Every student got ready, getting into their own fighting positions, or getting ready to use their quirks, or both. With one final thunderous THOOM, the ice was completely obliterated, freshly created snowflakes floating to the ground and stadium. Midoriya stood with a fist out, his eyes burning a bright red, The red went away, revealing his brilliant green eyes. He looked towards his class, then at the other students. He was going to be on the defensive on purpose. He already had the ten million points

"Well?" Midoriya asked, to which the students stilled for yet another moment. One student from class B, one with horns on her head, was both absolutely terrified and amazed. It was just like in her comics back home! Others, like Monoma, were both frightened and pissed, but also intrigued. He wondered if he'd be able to copy it.

Midoriya was subjected to two different things at the same time. Bakugo appeared before him and thrust his hand towards his face, and a cannonball from Momo. He whipped his head to the side, narrowly avoiding a blast to the face but causing the explosion to go right against his ear, which caused him incredible pain. He was then hit by the cannonball, forcing himself to stumble forward. Bakugo tried to release another explosion but his wrist was caught and he was flung away. Midoriya dodged a projectile, shot at him by Mei, who's grin was more nervous, but also more determined. As his hearing recovered, he heard the sound of the rushing ice, to which he twisted his body and slammed his fist into the ice, shattering it on impact.

Shinso took the opportunity provided by the distraction to get the general education students to walk out of bounds. He got their points for it, even if they were basically last place (aside from Aoyama, who actually got last place). Some of the other students began to also just try to avoid Midoriya and the conflict between him and the other students, now consisting of Katsuki, the Todorokis, Jiro, Mei, and Momo. Mei, Momo, and Jiro have a temporary alliance, as did the Todorokis, where as Bakugo is a sole agent. Kaminari came up and tried to electrocute Midoriya, but was blown out of the ring by Bakugo.

Over with the other students, Mina was slapped on the head by Monoma, who promptly tried to use acid against the pink-skinned girl. It devolved into a brawl until Fumikage knocked Mina out. Tetsutetsu was locked with Kirishima, their manliness too much for either one to back down from the challenge and annoyance of facing off against each other.

Ojiro found himself facing off against Kendo, the two martial artists locked in a fight before she enlarged her hand and grabbed onto his tail, throwing him out. The students of Class 1-B were battling the remaining students from Class 1-A, both knocking each other out one by one.

Bakugo leapt into the air, exploding upwards and flying towards Midoriya. He held out his hand, putting his other hand on his inner elbow. This was going to hurt.

"DEKU!" The maniacal bomber screamed, an explosion of unseen proportions ripping towards him. Midoriya twisted his head quickly, his eyes widening at the explosion before it engulfed him, the stadium being lit up brilliantly. The Todoroki twins stomped their feet down, ice shooting up and absorbing the heat and force of the Explosion. Momo, Mei, and Jiro barely managed to stay in the ring. Sero taped himself to the ground and refused to budge, pushing against the blast.

When the smoke and dust settled, the only ones standing were Midoriya, Bakugo (who landed with a stumble), the Todoroki Twins, Sero, Hatsume, Momo, Jiro, Ochako, Kendo, Monoma, Fumikage, Tetsutetsu, Kirishima, a girl with vines for hair, and Shinso, who had instructed the girl to make a shield using her hair.

All other students were out of the ring, or knocked unconscious. Bakugo glared at Midoriya, whose arms were up and slightly burned and his leg behind him. Midoriya's eyes found Bakugo's, as he stood up straight.

"How the hell are you still standing?!" The angry pomeranian demanded, to which Midoriya looked down, opening his mouth to answer, but closing it, not knowing how to answer without Bakugo hurting his arm even more.

"THE BATTLE ROYALE HAS REACHED IT'S END!"

The crowd was silent. Not even Mic had anything to say. The other students were put on stretchers brought out, the still standing students and out-of-ring students assisting. Finally, Present Mic coughed awkwardly into his microphone.

"We'll uh, be back after a short break."

Recovery girl was pissed. No, beyond pissed. They had a Battle Royale event?! Does ANYONE ever think of how dangerous this stuff is?!

She huffed angrily before getting to her job, Bakugo sitting on a chair with some relaxants for his arm. Kaminari's eyes snapped open and he shot up, startling some of the other students who were barely awake or getting treated.

".. We didn't get Midoriya out, did we?" To his left, Mina called out, "No, we were too busy fighting each other."

Bakugo scoffed. If the Electric idiot hadn't gotten in his way… No. No, he landed a direct hit on Midoriya, but it did almost nothing. He was almost unphased. And everyone knew what the next event was.

It was the matchups.

They couldn't even take him while working together as a pseudo-functional team, what chance did they have against him alone?

Bakugo growled, his red eyes shining with rage.

Kaminari tried not to look. It wasn't that hard when Bakugo caught him staring and gave him the most horrifying death glare Kaminari had ever seen.

Shoto Todoroki and Midoriya sat on opposite walls, the red and white colored hair boy inhaling softly, before beginning. Shoto had called Midoriya out here, during the break. He wanted to talk.

"Do you know why I called you here, Midoriya?" The Green haired boy shook his head. Shoto placed a hand on the left side of his face, before setting it down. "I called you here to tell you something."

"That scar on Shoka? I was the one who should have gotten it." Midoriya's eyebrows knit in confusion, and Shotot sighed and he explained further.

"My mother called me a monster, Midoriya. The left side of my face reminded her too much of my father. She was about to pour boiling water onto my face… When Shoka interfered."

Shoto waited a few moments before continuing, Midoriya waiting patiently.

"She didn't hear her say those things. How the left side reminded her of our Father.." Midoriya was curious as to what Endeavor had… oh… No, he figured it out. The brutal nature of his heroism..having a family.. It was all right there. "But she pushed me out of the way before I was hit by the boiling water." Shoto explained.

"Then and there, I vowed to never use my flames again. But you, Midoriya… You are something else. No one has managed to bring you down. You're more powerful than All Might, somehow, so you can't even be his secret lovechild." Midoriya did a double take at that last part, but Shoto didn't pay attention. Shoto, however, grew colder, more serious.

"You're my friend, Midoriya. So when I say that you're almost alien, I mean it with deadly seriousness."

Midoriya didn't even know how to react to that. The fact that he already had Superman's powers was one thing, but could he really be..? He shook the thought away from his head. Before he could even say anything, though, Todoroki spoke again.

"All in all, Midoriya. I made that vow so that I would never use that monster's power. But because of you, I finally see that I may have to."

Without another word, Todoroki walked off. Midoriya stayed there for a few moments, before beginning to walk off by himself. He stopped right at the entrance, and turned his head slightly to the side.

"It isn't nice to listen in on conversations." And with that, he walked out, the two people in question, Shoka and Bakugo tensing slightly before loosening up again. They gave each other one, long stare, before they walked off to prepare for the final events of the Sports Festival.

Ending was rushed, I can see that. I'm not sure what else to say other than an explanation as to why the point system even mattered. The Point system would place you with whoever you'd go against in the first rounds. Seems weird, I know. The end was rushed, but I was attempting to get this finished and put out to you guys so that you actually had something.

I can't make any promises that I won't disappear for another two months. I'll try not to, though. Gotta have that Halloween special, right?

Anyways, thanks for reading this. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
