So, as we left off, I discovered that the Necrofriggian I came to rescue has become a greedy Orange Lantern…kind of like what happened to my mentor years ago. To think the whole Blackest Night prophecy dilemma would be the worst thing on my mind to go wrong. One thing is for sure…This rescue mission became a little harder.

"It's my shiny battery! MINE! MINE! MINE!" Little Chill yelled, having a tantrum. "Mine!"

"You've got to be kidding me!" Midnight Hope groaned, facepalming. "First, Hal. And now you? This can't be happening."

The Blue Lantern carefully flew down to the ground while also keeping a strong harness around him.

"Chill...drop the battery," Lea said sternly.

"No!" Chill responded, shaking his head.

"Drop it now!" Lea commanded again.

"No! Mine!" The baby Necrofriggian refused, not giving up the battery.

"I am serious, young man! Do not make me take this thing from you the hard way!" Lea warned, grabbing the Lantern battery to tug away from Little Chill yet he was not letting go.

The two Lanterns were playing a small tug of war while moving around until Lea won by getting it off Little Chill's grip.

"HA! Got your 'precious' now!" Lea remarked...only to process what she just did and let go of the Orange Lantern battery immediately. "AAHHH! I touched and looked directly at it!"

Just then, Larfleeze recovered and sees Lea, Little Chill, and the dropped Orange Lantern battery rolling to the ground. "My shiny, it's mine!" He then flew over to grab it.

But then Little Chill freezes Larfleeze with his ice breath, but it wasn't a blue cold mist…it was orange. "No! It's my shiny! Mine!" Chill exclaimed.

"No fair! No freezing!" Larfleeze whined, having a hard time getting out.

Midnight Hope wiped her hand that touched the battery while having the willies before seeing the frozen case Larfleeze was stuck in. "Yikes. Well, now those weird structures we saw earlier make sense. They were ice attacks. Not crystals," she studied, before facing Little Chill trying to get the Lantern battery back but remaining restrained thanks to her leash-like harness construct. "This is going to be more difficult than I thought."

Saint Walker then flew over to Lea. "Sister, you can't jump in too fast without a plan. That's impolite."

"I know! I'm sorry, Walker!" Lea shouted, facepalming in frustration. "All this Blackest Night stuff has me on edge, okay?! I thought this was going to be a simple rescue mission, but now it's more than that! Little Chill's become a greedy Orange Lantern obsessed with the Lantern battery and I don't know how to change him back to normal! I thought taking the battery away would do the trick, but he's still an Orange Lantern!"

"I understand you're stressed, but you can't lash it out." Saint Walker said. "What if Little Chill has a ring in him?"

Lea looked carefully at the captured Necrofriggian to spot something on his little finger.

"He...He does," she said. "Just one. Not a lot like what Hal did."

"That's good." Saint Walker said. "We can use our powers to purify his mind."

"That can actually be done?" Lea asked.

"It's worth a shot." Saint Walker said. "Ganthet had heard from New Genesis how Razer used his power of hope to restore the green lantern Forager back to life. So anything is possible if you have hope."

Lea thought about this...taking her time to think on the situation better. "I might have an idea on how we can get through to Little Chill like you said."

"Okay. How do we free him?" Saint Walker asked.

Smiling, Lea constructed her acoustic guitar and strummed once. "The same way we always calm down a cranky creature: with some soothing music."

"Indeed." Saint Walker agreed as he formed a lyre construct. "Let's soothe this little hatchling."

Curious about what song I plan to sing/play for my little greedy friend? Well, that, I'm afraid, will be revealed another time. For now, let's get back to GL that I have no idea what's going on…yet,

Meanwhile... back on Zamaron…

Guy tried blasting Morganite, but the Cephalon kept defending her. "Come on, kid. You know this isn't you." He said.

"Stop calling me that, you ginger-headed pig!" Morganite shouted, having a giant fiery heart around her before creating a bow for herself to shoot arrows at Guy. "You know nothing about how to treat a lady! Nor about me! I know exactly who I am!"

"I know what you aren't, and that's the ruler of this planet!" Guy said, forming green hand constructs to contain Morganite and flying away from that Cephalon.

"Hey! Let me go!" Morganite yelled, struggling to get out of these hands.

"Not a chance. Not until we figure out what happened." Guy said, as he quickly called his ring. "Jordan, you found Ferris?"

"I did. Tina's got Carol and the other Star Sapphires in crystal prisons. The same trick they used to do on all men," Hal replied. "Even Kilowog."

"Right, I remember Kilowog telling me about his girlfriend becoming one of those Sapphires and trapping him in it. That's got to be humiliating for him," Guy remarked, laughing. "What a sucker."

"Just focus on Tina and don't let her out your sight," Hal retorted, not amused. "We can't let her know that I'm rescuing Carol and the others."

Around the conversation, Morganite/Tina got out of Guy's construct hands and constructed a ribbon wand to lasso his legs before pulling close to kick him on the back.

Guy managed to land on his feet. "That's smarts," He said with a gruff. "You better hurry up, Hal. Can't hold her forever."

He then formed a giant green pillow construct to push Morganite to a wall. "Sorry, kid. Thought you have something soft to hit through."

Morganite shook off that soft hit and went back into the fight. "While I appreciate your sympathy hit, this doesn't change anything!"

"Note to self, make pillows out of green bricks," Guy deadpanned, still trying to remember he's fighting a teenager. "Maybe I should play hard since soft didn't work." He then formed green constructs of boxing gloves around his hands.

"Oh, please. A lady doesn't use her fists to fight..." Morganite stated with a scoff, constructing a whip with three morning stars at the bottom. "But she can use what's around to defend herself from green scum like you!"

"Fine. On guard!" Guy said. He then replaces his boxing gloves with a battle axe with side blades.

As the two kept fighting, Hal tried freeing Carol and the others from their crystal prisons. They were hard to crack open than last time, at first, but he managed to free Carol and Queen Aga'po...which took a lot of Will power.

"Ugh. My head..." Carol groaned, only to see her rescuer and hugged him. "Hal! You're here!"

"Carol. Are you okay?" Hal asked.

"I am now," Carol admitted. "I tried creating a portal for you and Guy to get here, but Tina already caught me in what I was doing where she crystalized me and sent me here."

"That Earth child appeared on Zamaron out of nowhere and even claimed that she's the new ruler of the Star Sapphires." Queen Aga'po said.

"Guy is trying to hold her off. She's probably not in her right mind." Hal said

"That I figured. Just like how I wasn't when I first got here," Carol agreed. "But Hal...this is Tina. I met her before. She's not this obsessive and narcissistic. Whatever that white energy was...it has changed her completely. I'm not sure how we're going to get through to her."

"I suggest we put her to sleep until we figure out why she went all insane and attacked my subjects," Queen Aga'po suggested.

"Whoa, hold on! Remember how I got Carol back to her senses?" Hal reminded. "Our love for each other made her come back to her senses. Maybe we need to do the same for Tina."

"Except Tina is not in a relationship with any guy," Carol stated, seeing where Hal was going but seeing a flaw to that idea. "She never mentioned having her own boyfriend to feel real love. I hate to say it, but Queen Aga'po's plan is our best solution."

"I'm sorry, Hal Jordan, but it's the only way." Queen Aga'po said.

Hal did not feel on board with this plan. "She's still a kid...not far in age as Lea. We'll figure a way to contain her, but nothing else extreme." But then Hal had an idea. "Wait…what if there's more to love than a special someone?"

Carol and Queen Aga'po looked at each other on this.

"We only know the love of a special someone. What are you getting at, Hal Jordan?" Aga'po asked.

"I know, but I do know another concept. My friend, Midnight Hope, showed me a few movies about a different concept of love back on Earth." Hal said. "What if Carol and I remind Tina of her family?"

"...That might actually work," Carol responded. "But how can we do that?"

"I have memories of hanging out with Lea. If you can hold her long enough, I can project an image of her and her family to Tina for her to calm down." Hal explained.

"All right. We better hurry," Carol said, ready to help.

"Very well. Let us hurry before Guy Gardner gets himself killed," Queen Aga'po added. She and Carol follow to where Guy and Tina were fighting.

Meanwhile... back on Oa…

Kilowog and Ben/Ultra X were looking for Amy. They were able to trace it near a building where Scar's secret lab is.

"The signal is starting to get stronger," Ben explained, looking at Kilowog. "Out of curiosity...Can the rings construct the specific elements of gas? Because I read about an alien that's like a walking chemistry lab who can combine and release different gas bombs."

"Hal did tell me about it once. He even tried it by making a knock out gas before." Kilowog said. "But that's more of if you can imagine the type of gas. Hal once made fire with it."

"Sweet," Ben admitted, unable to hide amazement in his visor eyes. "I never thought having the Lantern ring would give me abilities similar to the Omnitrix...well, sort of."

"Omnitrix?" Kilowog asked. "Is that a made-up word or something?"

"It's some sort of alien watch that transforms me into different aliens...like the ones you saw back at the training room," Ben explained. "Apparently, my universe is the only one where I don't have an Omnitrix. But I had a crash course with one once when dealing with other evil mes from parallel dimensions. And this Vilgax guy wiping all Ben Tennysons that have an Omnitrix as his original plan."

"WOW! And I thought Hal, John, and Guy's stories were crazy," Kilowog said, having a hard time believing this. "I never even heard of Vilgax. Must be in a sector of space that hasn't been charted by the Guardians."

"Seriously? That's weird," Ben said, getting lost in thought.

"Hello? ...Anyone...?" It was Amy again contacting Ben.

"Amy? Where are you?" Ben asked, getting the signal again.

"Ben? Is that you?" Amy asked from the ring communications more clearly. "Get me out of here!"

"Amy, calm down. I'm already looking for you," Ben said. "Where are you?"

"I'm in some sort of advanced lab. It's like how I would imagine my own lab, but more me," Amy answered. "I discovered it while hiding from those flying little aliens trying to keep me silent."

"Advance Lab?" Ben asked.

"It could be Scar's old lab when she got blasted by the Anti-Monitor." Kilowog assumed.

"Amy, stay where you are. I'll be right there," Ben said, before looking at Kilowog. "Can you take me there?"

"With pleasure." Kilowog then grabbed Ben's hand. "Hold on tight."

After doing so, Ben felt himself go full speed to their destination. He screamed as they flew in massive speed.

"Almost there," Kilowog said.

"And I thought having the speed of a Kineceleran or Arburian Pelarota would be intense!" Ben exclaimed, his helmet visor showing his shocked look.

The two Lanterns finally reached the lab. "Okay, we're here, kid."

Ben took a moment to get out of Kilowog's hold in catching a breather while his visor eyes looked dizzy.

"Cool...Give me a second..." Ben said, accidentally touching something that activates the secret passage underneath him. "AAAAAHHHHH!"

"Kid!" Kilowog yelled, as he fell in the secret passage, too.

Thinking fast, Ben constructed Conductoid arms around his hands to create electricity in easing his fall a bit before landing.

Kilowog and Ben landed with ease. "Word of advice: don't ever press anything." Kilowog stated.

"That wasn't even on purpose! How was I supposed to know the secret passage button was there?!" Ben argued, glaring.

"I don't know!" Kilowog yelled back, before calming down. "Ugh, forget it. Let's just get Lea's cousin back to normal. If what Hal said is true back in Zamaron, then it's possible she's not herself either."

"Speaking of normal, how is it that I didn't go completely crazy with Lantern powers?" Ben asked.

"That I've been wondering, too," called a disembodied voice that made Ben scream in startlement.

Kilowog heard the voice. "Who's there?"

"Kilowog...Any chance Oa is haunted by ghosts?" Ben asked, bringing his ring up.

"No. Even if it was, it would be Lanterns that went rogue." Kilowog pointed out

"I'm not rogue!" The voice called out. "And your term on calling me a 'ghost' is very offensive!"

"Wait...I know that voice," Ben said, retracting the helmet in revealing his face. "Amy? Is that you?"

"Ben? You found me!" Amy said.

"Where are you?" Kilowog asked as looked around the lab, trying to find Amy's body.

"Yeah...I'm not sure how you'll handle seeing the stat I'm currently in," Amy responded, still hiding.

"Did that flash disfigure you?" Kilowog asked.

"I...do not know how to describe this situation," Amy responded, feeling hesitant.

"It's okay, Amy. I'm sure whatever is going, we can figure this out together," Ben assured, looking around the lab.

"...Okay, I'm over here. Just don't freak out." Amy added.

Although confused, Kilowog and Ben saw something green glowing behind the table. It lifted to reveal what looked like a Green Lantern ring floating on it's own.

"Huh? Kilowog...is it normal to have a Green Lantern ring move on its own like that?" Ben questioned, getting closer to it.

"No, not at all," Kilowog said. "Most rings just return to Oa."

Ben was soon close to the ring in seeing it in better detail. It looked different. The sides were like open gears prints or something tech-like.

Just then, the ring faced the ceiling and created a construct hologram of a familiar face.

"Amy?!" Ben exclaimed, not sure what to think of this.

"Hello, Ben...It's nice to see a friendly face, for once," The ring's construct responded.

"You're the power ring?" Kilowog asked.

"Yes and no," Amy answered. "When that white blast hit me, my mind's input was separated from my body and placed in this ring. Think of it like a memory stick holding information from the main computer."

"Wait, so your mind is basically inside this ring?" Ben asked.

"That would be the case, yes," Amy responded, her hologram construct nodding.

"But if you said your mind was separated into the ring...does that mean your body is gone completely?" Kilowog questioned.

"No. I can somehow sense that it's still functional. I'm just not sure where it is," Amy explained.

"Then, that leaves only one question, Amy," Ben said, thinking about something. "Where is your body?"
