LAST UPDATE OF THE YEAR! (I meant to update right when my finals finished, but one thing led to another, and here I am. After Christmas. Finally updating. Whoops.

Here. We. GO!

"Alright, so regarding the battle trials yesterday…good job, everyone, but Midoriya, the exercise was about teamwork with your classmates, so keep that in mind for the future."

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei," Izuku said, scratching the back of his head.

"That being said, you won easily, but for whatever teamwork exercises we do from now on, work with your classmates," Aizawa-sensei said. "Seizing the entire building was a sound strategy, however-Todoroki, Midoriya, good thinking on that with both of you, I suppose. I have more to say about everything, but that's the highlights of it-otherwise, I have packets for each of you on improvements. Work on them. But, right now, there's something else we need to worry about."

Everyone instantly tensed up besides Izuku, Brazen laughing his butt off.

"You need to elect a class president and officers," Aizawa-sensei said.

"So ordinary!" everyone said, while Izuku sighed, glancing upward.

You can stop laughing now, Brazen, Izuku said.

HE SOUNDED SO DEADPAN AND SERIOUS, BUT HE WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT CLASS ELECTIONS! Brazen laughed.

Do we want to attempt to become the class president? Yumio asked as the entire class started to shout about electing them.

Hmm…Paz? Izuku asked.

Huh? Paz asked. Why me?

How social can we be? Izuku asked. This basically boils down to how willing we are to communicate with others, which is 100% you.

Oh-wait, how about how much we care about making sure everything's fine? Paz asked. Mom!

Hmm…sure, Odin said. Izuku, you can raise your hand.

Izuku raised his hand slightly as Iida said, "Everyone, we must calm down and think about this in a rational manner!"

"You're raising your hand, you know," Kaminari said.

"Eh…" Iida said. "Yes, I would also like to be the class president."

Hmm…seems strict enough to make sure we stay on task and get things done, Yumio said. He would be good at the job.

"In order to do this and make sure that everyone has a fair chance, we should put it up to an anonymous class vote," Iida said.

I like his chances-we should vote for him, Yumio said.

And not ourselves? Brazen asked.

"Wait, what if people just vote for themselves?" Ashido asked. "We won't know."

"And we don't know each other very well, either-everyone would just vote for themselves to begin with," Kaminari said.

I'd feel really weird if I did, Izuku admitted.

"Then whoever gets more than one vote really would be best fit for the position," Iida said.

he's got a point-let's vote for him, Odin said.

I'll agree with that! Yui said.

I agree as well, Yumio said.

All in favor say "aye," Izuku said, knowing perfectly well what the response would be.

Aye, sir! Everyone exclaimed. (two points if you get the reference)

Izuku giggled, getting a few odd looks from those around him. That's everyone, right? Any opposition?

Silence.

Alright, Izuku said, taking out a piece of paper and writing, "Tenya Iida," before folding it and looking around as others wrote down their answers as well.

..

"And here's the results," Aizawa-sensei said, gesturing to the board boardly (don't forgive the bad pun :) to reveal-

"Wait, I got how many votes?" Izuku asked, staring-he was in first place with…four votes? Yaoyorozu had two, and Iida had only one, as well as a few others.

what?

"Alright, that makes Midoriya your class president-wahoo," Aizawa-sensei said, then yawned. "Alright, don't be too loud for the rest of class-I'm gonna take a nap." And he did.

"Who voted for me?" Izuku asked, looking at his friends tiredly. "I didn't even vote for me."

"Wait, really?" Shoto asked, surprised. "Who'd you vote for?"

"Iida," Izuku said. "All of us agreed that he seemed trustworthy enough."

"Wait, for real?"

Izuku jumped and turned to see-

"Oh, Iida, Uraraka," Izuku said, smiling at them. "Didn't notice you there."

What can we do for a surveillance quirk? Izuku asked.

Still looking into Ragdoll's quirk, Yumio said. I'm working on it, but she's not the most out-there hero with information, so it's taking me some time.

I know, Izuku said.

"You really voted for me?" Iida asked.

"Yep," Izuku said. "We all decided that we wanted to vote for you."

"You seemed responsible enough," Yumio added.

"I see…thank you for your kind words," Iida said. "I personally voted for you."

"Same with me!" Uraraka said. "I mean, you already manage all your familiars really well-together, you could definitely do the entire class!"

"Of course he could, Round Face," Kacchan said.

"Eh," Uraraka said, looking at him, clearly confused.

"Are you not aware of our actual names?" Iida asked.

"He calls people by nicknames instead of their real names," Shoto sighed.

"Can it, Half-and-Half," Kacchan snapped.

"...really?" Iida asked.

"Yep," Toshi said. "I'm Mind freak or Turnip-head." He shrugged.

"...those sound like insults," Iida said. "I would hope that you aren't insulting your fellow classmates-"

"Don't worry about it, he doesn't mean anything rude," Odin said.

"Says you...Mom," Kacchan muttered.

"Huh?" Iida asked.

"I still don't have a good nickname for any of his Sides, ok?!" Kacchan muttered. "And that's what everyone calls her."

"Hey, um…"

They all turned to see Yaoyorozu approach them.

"Oh, hi!" Izuku said, turning to her and waving. "Nice job with Vice Rep! We can't wait to work with you!"

"Same goes to you, Izuku-you can call me Momo, by the way," Yaoyorozu said. "It will be nice to work with you-oh! And I brought the design to the support department, so thank you for that. It'll take some time to complete, so until then, I'm stuck with what I have."

"Nope," Odin said. "We'll help figure something out, but you look way too uncomfortable-we can help with your costume getting more stretched, too, Uraraka, if you'd like." She paused. "Maybe we should offer that to the other girls, too...Jirou and Hagakure's we're fine, but Tsuyu's was tighter...same with Mina's, but then again, I guess Tsuyu's would make sense because it's made like a wetsuit for underwater-that was probably the intention there. As for Mina, maybe for less of a chance of her acid catching? But you said that you hadn't wanted a skin-tight body suit yesterday, right, Uraraka? We probably could ask the other girls, but otherwise, Momo's was the one that needed the most work-same with yours, Shoto, and yes, it's gonna be neon pink, and Hex is doing some research about support gear so we can design a temperature regulating system, but maybe we could stop by the support labs later today to see if we could get someone to help us out with that and see what we can work with." (Hatsume sneezes and gets back to work on her explosives-)

"...ok, then," Shoto said. "Odin, tone down a little with the muttering."

"Oh!" Odin said, then chuckled. "Oops. Sorry 'bout that-old habits die hard, ya know." Izuku added, "Let's get to lunch-I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting hungry!"

The alarms sounded off when they were all eating their food, and, of course, everyone started to freak out and evacuate.

However, Izuku got pressed up against the window during this and saw the gate, where the reporters from earlier were bugging Aizawa-sensei and Yamada-sensei.

It's just the press!

Brazen snorted. They never got this desperate when I was here-who even cares that All Might works here? He's not as cool as people think.

Of course it would cause a stir-Brazen, wanna go help Aizawa-sensei and Yamada-sensei?

I'll just go observe and look around. With that, Brazen left invisible to look around.

The hallway's too big and not shaped enough to Occupy-Mom, can you get everyone's attention?

Odin didn't say anything, but she did exit the Mind Palace visible and flew up while carrying Yui.

Oh! Yumio, we can use Yamada-sensei's Voice, right? Dasu asked.

We figured it out thanks to Brazen! Yui thought happily as she yelled, "EVERYONE, CALM DOWN, IT'S JUST THE PRESS!"

...guys, the gate...doesn't look good.

Hmm? Izuku stopped as he was about to exit the school-students were being directed to leave through a back gate, but Brazen had stayed to investigate the gate (it was after classes for the day, but still).

Can you come see this? It's...familiar, but I can't think of where.

Are students even allowed over there right now?

There's no one saying no.

Izuku hesitated, then looked at Kacchan, Toshi, Shoto, Iida, Uraraka, and Momo. "Hey, guys, I'm gonna go check something out right quick-I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Oh, need to talk to a teacher?" Uraraka asked. "Want us to come with you?"

"Nah, I'll be fine-seriously, see you guys tomorrow!" Izuku said, then walked away, rushing out front to the gate, where he saw-

-Tenko's hand reaching towards me, he had killed the dog already, the yard was a mess and he was screaming, my brother was in pain and terrifying-

...the gate was disintegrated.

Slowly, Izuku walked toward and kneeled down next to the dust, carefully putting his hand in it.

Tenko, Darlina whispered.

But it's been...why would he...maybe he's had a kid? It's been...calculating...about 36 years now? He'd be in his forties-barely, but still, Yumio said. You said that he survived, but you lost track of him?

Yes, but…

"Midoriya."

Izuku looked up to see-

"Principal Nezu," Izuku said, shaking the dust off his hand.

"If you don't mind, would you not touch that?" Nezu asked. "We're trying to identify who did it."

"Tenko Shimura," Izuku said.

Nezu gave him a surprised look. "What brought you to that conclusion?"

"Thirty-six years ago, his quirk activated at the age of five when he disintegrated his dog, sister, mother, father, and home," Izuku said. "It's been a long time, but this is what it looked like."

"Ah, one of your ghosts must have been present," Nezu said.

"Darlina-her living name was Hana Shimura," Izuku said.

"Ah, I see," Nezu said. "I will look into as much as I can regarding Tenko-after Shimura's unfortunate demise, I'm afraid that her family went relatively under the radar by my standards, but I should be able to locate him soon."

"Thank you," Izuku said, then stood up fully. "We also think he might have a kid that could have done this? Either way, that should help put you on the right track, I hope." With that, he gave a small bow and left.

Shorter chapter than I intended, but what's next? USJ! USJ! USJ!

And all semblance of safety dives out the window on sight! Shigaraki? Well, that's a familiar name to our favorite Mom, isn't it? And won't that bring up a few questions? As for the Nomu... you'll see.

I'll see you next time, and I hope you had (and have) happy holidays!
