Not gonna lie. Driving through an asteroid field was intense. We almost did not make it and barely lost that Black Lantern if Little Chill had not come out to help out. He showed up on the battlefield freezing that Black Lantern's face at the last minute as a distraction to shake him off our tail. While our blue energy calmed him down, his avaricious emotions still remain by being super clingy with me. On the bright side, that clingy moment came through in the end.

Still, Saint Walker was taking a hard beating with this Black Lantern. I'm just glad he's okay.

"Blackest Night Prophecy?" Tina asked.

"Yeah...It's a long story," Lea stated, rubbing her own neck.

"To shorten it, this involves another group of Lanterns representing death and destruction being led by an Ex-Guardian called Scar," Ben summarized. "And, to make matters worse...Kilowog and I saw it first hand at Oa."

"What?!" Hal, Carol, and Guy exclaimed.

"The rookie is telling the truth," Kilowog replied. "Before getting teleported here, we got Oa on high alert about something big and black coming. Most of the Lanterns were left drained."

"Like undead zombies," Ben added.

Amy nodded her head at that. "I can confirm that being true, despite the term 'zombies' as nothing but myth and speaking as a woman science who does not believe in the supernatural. Even so, we were lucky to even get out, if not for my sister."

"Sister Lea and I were attacked by a Black Lantern. He calls himself, Black Hand." Saint Walker said. "We managed to lose him in an asteroid field, but we don't know how long though."

Queen Agapo then walked towards the Lanterns. "Then, it's only a matter of time before this Black Hand arrives here."

"All right. We definitely need a plan here," Hal stated, before looking at Lea. "Step one, get Lea, Ben, and the Fitzpatrick Sister back home safely."

"Wait, what?! But Hal, you heard what this Black Lantern is capable of!" Lea reminded. "With the other Blue Lanterns trapped in Odym, you're going to need me."

Hey, I might still be horrified by that Black Hand creep and those freaky prophetic visions I keep having since the white blast incident, but that doesn't mean I'm going to abandon my Lantern friends in their hour of need.

"I'm sorry, Lea, but the situation is too dangerous for you," Hal replied, looking neutral. "I made a promise to keep you and your family safe. I'm not going to break it by taking such a risk. John Stewart should still be on Earth waiting for you."

Ben stuttered. "But... Y-you saw what I can do. I can help fight off the Black Lantern."

"You kidding me, kid?" Guy said. "Black Lantern, power of death? Do you wanna be a zombie-like husk? Too dangerous, even for a kid like you. You're going home!"

"I'm sorry, Rookie, but you're too young and inexperienced," Kilowog said.

"Are you kidding me?!" Lea exclaimed, her voice raising up and face looking distraught. "I can understand getting my cousins and Little Chill back to Earth, but sending Ben and myself, too? I thought, after everything we discussed when you told me about the Blackest Night prophecy, you'd believe in me, Hal!"

"Lea..." Hal said, wanting to place his hand on her shoulder but couldn't when she backed away.

"Razer? Aya? Any of you want to back me up here?!" Lea asked, hoping the others could try to defend her. "Or what about you, Walker? At least, tell Hal he's wrong to send me back home! I am not leaving until Scar is defeated!"

"Everyone, with all due respect, Lea, Ben, and maybe these girls can help." Saint Walker said. "Lea was able to hold off Larzleeze when getting the baby Necrofri-" Just then, Saint Walker then felt something and it started to go on his knees, feeling pain.

"Walker?" Lea asked, looking over at him in deep concern. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Ben saw what looked like black energy on Walker's ring...something he was all too familiar with. "Oh, no..."

"Moonface, what's wrong?" Kilowog asked, running towards the weak blue lantern.

Saint Walker looks had his ring, as it starts to turn black. "No... No! Get away from me!" He cried in pain.

"Wha-What's happening?!" Lea asked, about to get close until Ben stopped her.

"Lea, don't!" Ben exclaimed, pulling her back. "It's not safe."

Amy used her glasses to scan what was going on with Saint Walker...only to have her eyes wide in deep worry. "Uh, oh...I'm detecting heavy amounts of dark energy that is spreading within him…And most of us have seen it before in Oa"

"Black Hand... must've infected me during the fight." Saint Walker managed to say. "I don't know what will happen."

Razer acted fast by using his own Blue Lantern ring to slow down the energy-draining process with a healing mantra.

Lea just froze in horror. She thought Walker got out safely. Instead, Walker is dealing with horrendous pain caused by Black Hand.

"On second thought, maybe going back to Earth isn't so bad after all," Amy said.

"Glad you agree. Indigo-1, Your Majesty, get the kids back to Earth. And Indigo-1, you protect them until me, Carol, and Guy return." Hal ordered.

"Very well, Hal Jordan." Queen Agapo said.

"Lea, come on. We got to go," Ben said, leading her with the others.

"N-No...I can't...I just can't..." Lea said, breathing a little heavily.

Knowing his girlfriend was near a panic attack phase, he made her look at him with his hands on his shoulders. "Lea, focus! We have to get out and protect Earth. The others got this."

"Ben's right. What if this Black Hand brute infects you, too? Or us?" Tina asked.

"I just got my body back and I am not losing it again," Amy reasoned, opening and closing her right hand to feel it.

The Blue Lantern didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay and help out. Instead, Lea/Hope didn't look up and just silently agreed to go back home.

Of all the things I've been through...this felt like the hardest. I let my first Blue Lantern teacher and partner down by not protecting him from Black Hand. I thought I was doing good in keeping everyone safe, but I wasn't. And it made me feel like a failer. A loser. A useless burden. No wonder Hal wanted me gone. I'll only get in the way and make things worse.

Indigo-1 then sees a black-like meteor coming down on Zameron. "The Black Lantern is reaching the planet as we speak." She said. "You kids evacuate now!"

"Children, one of you must think of the ones you love to reach your home planet." Queen Agapo said.

The cousins and Ben focused deeply on the people they cared about back on Earth. Especially Ben thinking about his Grandpa Max.

Lea, however, didn't have the heart or focus to help. She just kept her guilt and regretful feelings inside.

"I don't know how to fix this…" Lea muttered, placing her hands on her chest while trying not to cry. "How could I fail…?"

A portal was then opened. Tina, Amy, and Ben saw that it worked. And another portal opened behind Lea. And as she saw it, she was confused.

Ben noticed the portal behind Lea. "Well, this is weird. But maybe it's a separate one that will take you to somewhere different on Earth?"

"Maybe…?" Lea said, although unsure herself.

"What does it mean, Queen Agapo?" Ben asked looking at the Violet Lantern ruler. "A different area on Earth for Lea to see her family?"

Queen Agapo was surprised herself by the reaction to Lea's portal. "Only one way to test the theory." She said. "Hurry and enter through."

"Okay, your majesty," Ben said. "Come on, girls."

"You got it, Ben! Good luck, Hal and everyone else!" Tina called out, waving goodbye.

"Take those Black Lantern bullies down," Amy added, believing in the heroes.

As Amy and Tina enter the portal back to Earth, Ben looks at Lea. "See you on the other side of the Earth."

"Back at ya," Lea stated, giving a small smile while seeing Ben leave through the portal.

Before going to her portal, Lea did one last look at Hal and her Lantern friends with a sad look. She then held back some tears and just stepped through.

Meanwhile...

Ben, Amy and Tina walked out the portal, and they see familiar buildings. It was Bellwood. They finally made it back to Earth.

"Oh, thank the Sapphires that we're back home!" Tina exclaimed happily.

"Yeah. And still stuck in our Lantern forms without any clue to take off our rings," Amy reminded.

"One step at a time, darling," Tina shrugged, waving her hand.

Ben noticed his grandpa Max's RV, the Rustbucket, and sees his grandpa coming out. "Ben, you're back! And you're okay!"

"Grandpa!" Ben ran to his grandpa Max and hugged him.

"I thought I never see you again." Max said. "What happened with that white flash?" He then noticed Ben's getup. "And why do you look like a Green Lantern version of your superhero drawing Ultra Ben?"

The Fitzpatrick sisters couldn't help but smile at seeing this warm moment.

"So, this is Ben's grandfather," Tina said to her sister.

"He seems to be taking the whole Lantern thing well," Amy noted, both surprised and curious about this.

"It's a very long story, Grandpa." Ben said. "That white flash teleported me, Lea, Amy, and Tina to different planets across the Galaxy."

"It's true, sir," Amy said. "And, somehow, we were given these new forms, as well as these rings which represent the different lantern Corps."

"Well, what matters, is that you're all safe and back in Earth." Max said. "I'm sure this experience has left you all, in a way, traumatizing."

"Oh, you have no idea," Tina responded, fanning herself from the stress. "This is still a lot for us to comprehend. Being blinded by our own emotional powers in causing trouble, hurting innocent individuals, and now some new dark Lantern group out to destroy all life as we know it?! That's insane!"

"Not only that but all of our rings appear to feel stuck…minus my Green Lantern ring," Amy added, seeing her sister Tina look at her in confusion. "My Green Lantern ring appears to be less tight than my Indigo ring. But I prefer keeping it on, just in case."

"Good call," Tina replied, well aware of what her Indigo body did.

Max then realized something... "Wait a minute. Ben, you said that you, Lea, and her cousins we're all teleport to different planets by the white flash, correct?" He asked his grandson.

Ben nodded. "Yeah."

"How did you get back?" Max asked.

"On Planet Zameron, we had to think about what we love the most so we can open a portal back here." Amy added.

"And, apparently, we thought of Coast City because it's where our dear cousin lives and where we were before being taken," Tina pointed out.

"But... Where's Lea?" Max asked.

"A separate portal open behind her when she was trying to think about what she loves. We believe she could be somewhere on Earth, but not in the same location as ours." Ben explained. "I'll go around the planet and try to find her."

"Check at her house, Ben. She might be where her parents are at if she's thinking about what she loves," Tina suggested. "Amy and I will check the park, Rabbit Café, and ice rinks around Coast City."

"If any of us find her, then we'll call each other through our rings and meet back here," Amy stated.

Nodding each other, Tina/Morganite, Amy the Violet and Green Lantern, and Ben/Ultra X started flying up before separating to look for Lea. However, before leaving, Ben looked back at his grandpa one more time.

"I'll be right back, Grandpa. Promise," Ben assured, retracting his helmet on and flying to full speed.

"Let's hope she made it back." Amy said.

"I'm sure wherever she is, Lea's already on her way back full of hope with that positive attitude of hers in on Earth again like us," Tina guessed.

Meanwhile…

Lea entered her portal, hopefully taking her somewhere on Earth that was different than where her boyfriend and her cousins entered. As she steps out of the portal, she sees a bunch of trees and vines. Believing that she must have landed in a nearby Forest. As she flew up, there was no city inside as Lea flew above the forest and the cross.

"Could the portal send me somewhere in South Africa? Or maybe a nearby rainforest?" She asked herself.

Around flying, Lea couldn't stop thinking of Saint Walker. She felt more tears in her eyes and rising guilt clutch her heart where her ring flickered until feeling herself fall.

"AAHHHHH!" Lea screamed, crashing through the trees and landing on the ground harshly. "Owww...Ugh, I can't do anything right!" she growled, getting up and kicking a rock.

She hurt her foot kicking the rock. As if her luck couldn't get any worse. Reasons because her ring is not working, she's probably lost in some Amazon Forest, and she can't fly. How can things get any worse for her?

Just then, she felt something in her hair move. The Blue Lantern carefully put her hands in her poofy white hair to take out a familiar cold and greedy alien moth.

"Little Chill!? You followed me here?" Lea asked, only to sigh in a deadpan. "Oh, who am I kidding? Of course, you did."

"Mine," Little Chill simply said, flying and cuddling Hope's face. "Mine!"

"You shouldn't be here, Chill. It's bad enough I failed saving Saint Walker from a Black Lantern of Death fate," Lea argued, pushing the baby away from her. "You're stuck in this Avarice curse because of what that no-good Scar Ex-Guardian lady did. I want you to leave, right now."

Little Chill then shakes his head and sees the glare in Lea's eyes. "Mine?"

"I am serious, Chill! Your dad and siblings could be in danger at this very moment!" Lea nearly yelled, not taking this anymore. "You may still be a child, but you don't understand how lucky you are to have a very whole family!"

"Family?" Little Chill asked. "My family! Mine!"

"Yeah, your family...but it might be too late anyway," Lea said colded, walking down the forest with her greedy friend flying by. "You don't care about anyone but yourself to a point where it doesn't matter. So, just go back to your little obsession pity party over what's important. Might as well save yourself the trouble from never seeing Fro'Gieon again."

Little Chill remembers his family, although the power of the greed still makes him talk immature phrases sometimes. "Take Chill home. My family. Give me back my family."

That comment made Lea stop and look at Chill in surprise. Although still down on herself, the Blue Lantern felt some small spark of hope in helping Little Chill.

"...I will do my best," she said, continuing forward by walking. "Might as well try to get one mission done before things get anymore chaotic."

Back on Earth, Ben rushed to Lea's house, in hopes that she was sent there. He opened a window to her room and it looked empty. He looks around the room and sneaks around the house.

"Come on, Lea…Where are you?" Ben/Ultra X muttered, seeing her room untouched.

Back with Lea...

The Blue Lantern girl continued walking in the deep forest while Little Chill kept by her side. She couldn't stop thinking of the dark visions from her meditation. Lea knew that they're already happening yet felt like there's a bigger picture behind it.

Just then, Lea started to see an opening up ahead. She walked over there to come across a shocking sight.

Lea saw a whole bunch of alien spaceships that were scrapped, ruined, and abandoned. They appear to be in some sort of position. Like a spaceship graveyard.

"Oh, no..." Lea muttered, her eyes wide in fear.

Lea then flew up higher and higher until she was above the really tall trees. She looked around and saw nothing. No cities, no human civilians, no nothing. Only big mountains. And she even noticed the sky with a weird green rainbow-like glow. She hyperventilates, realizing the truth.

Back at Lea's house, Ben felt the same pink gem given by his girlfriend glow. As if sensing where she is through his love for her that made him retract his helmet and reveal his concerned face.

"She's in the wrong planet...far past the Milky Way galaxy," Ben said to himself in realization.

"I'm in the wrong planet. Far past the Milky Way Galaxy!" Lea said in shocked. "Why didn't the portal send me home? Was my love for Ben... Not that strong?"

Little Chill sees that Lea is scared because of the portal's supposed miscalculation. Just then, he noticed some black-like looking smoke coming towards them. It was like some kind of shadowy ghost. Little Chill starts growling and trying to grab them.

"Okay...I'm sure I can figure this all out," Lea said to herself, trying to calm. "At least, we're far away from danger."

"Mine!" Little Chill yelled, as he keeps trying to grab the black shadow ghosts but something was different about them.

"Chill? CHILL!" Lea yelled, seeing that unusual figure and constructing a clamp to grab plus pull the little alien close to her. "Get away from him, you creepy shadow!"

Lea, holding onto Little Chill securely, blasted the black shadow ghost back with more coming, and fled for her life. She did not know what was going on anymore. She seems to be stranded on a different planet, with a stowaway Necrofriggian with an Orange Lantern ring, and now she's being chased by some black smokey ghosts.

"What is happening?!" She and Ben screamed at the same time in different places.

To be concluded…

I am so sorry for the long wait. This was clearly overdue. I promise to work on the conclusion and move on before the year is over. Enjoy.
