I'm back! And freaking out because college is gReAt-

I am living off STARBURSTS, SUGARY DRINKS WITH NO CAFFINE, AND SPITE-

Excuse that.

Enjoy the chapter!

Alright, we can do this…right?

None of the Sides responded, all staying silent, and Izuku felt his shoulders hunch.

Guys, I really need you to respond right now before I start panicking, Izuku said.

Sorry, just…nerves, Odin said. Everything's alright. We can do this…who's in charge of the confidence here?

Do we need a new Side to help control confidence? Yumio asked.

We already have enough to fill a chess board, though, and that's the entire joke, Brazen said.

Ok, um…Izuku, how about I start singing Confident by Demi Lovato to help with confidence right now while we figure out how to make this whole thing work? Odin asked.

Yes please, Izuku said, and Odin started to sing it, Izuku muttering along as he approached the crowd of reporters around the entrance-didn't they learn anything?!

"Hey, kid, we're looking for opinions on what happened at the USJ-" one reporter said, shoving a microphone and camera into Izuku's face-

Don't worry, I've got this, Darlina said.

oh no, Hex said.

I approved of this recklessness! Brazen cackled.

Darlina took over and began to sob through Izuku, causing a fair number of reporters to step back, actually looking guilty.

"W-We got a-attacked a-and y-you come to s-shove s-stuff in our faces?!" Darlina squeaked through her sobs. "I-It was s-so scary, a-and y-you're just c-crowding the g-gates a-after last time!?" They'd all seen the news and knew that the disintegrating quirk had been mentioned on the USJ briefing already given over the long weekend, which meant… "L-Last t-time you d-did this, t-the g-gate got destroyed a-and y-you distracted t-the heroes f-from catching the villain-i-is he here now?!" Darlina made Izuku curl up as he sobbed, and the reporters all stepped back, exchanging guilty looks-perfect.

"Um…we're really sorry, young man," the reporter that had shoved the mic in his face said, pulling the mic back and stepping further away as Izuku's sobs got louder with Hinata joining in-he wasn't actually panicking, but it sure looked like it-more than enough to make the reporters freak out and back away from him-some even turned and began to run away, already knowing how much trouble they'd be in from the UA staff if they came in and said they'd made a kid cry so bad-yeah, not worth the scoop.

But were some of the reporters still recording this reaction? What's wrong with them?!

Alright, we need to figure out a good way to just get into the building-should we just run for it? Darlina asked.

Izuku was about to answer when the air became freezing and he felt himself being pulled into a warm hug (my name may not be Olaf, but warm hugs are really nice (two points if you get the reference). He carefully looked up to see Shoto glaring at all the reporters around him.

"You're seriously still recording my classmate have a breakdown?" Shoto asked. "Do you have no shame?" He looked down at Izuku, who looked up at him, and Shoto gently guided Izuku through the UA gate and into the building, where Izuku instantly wiped away his tears and smiled at Shoto.

"Thanks for that," Izuku said.

"Of course-are you alright?" Shoto asked, gently brushing a few curls behind Izuku's ear.

Izuku nodded. "Yeah, Darlina and Hinata decided to team up to make them feel awful-and it worked, too! A few of them started running as soon as I started crying!"

"Yeah, but some kept the live news feed rolling," Shoto said. "You crying is gonna be on the news."

"Good," Izuku said. "People need to understand that the entire event was traumatizing and wasn't ok-we may be training to be heroes, but we're still teenagers that shouldn't have been put into that situation in the first place."

"I see," Shoto said. "Still, though…are you sure you're alright? You didn't answer any of my texts over the weekend…Bakugou and Shinsou said that the same thing happened towards them."

"Um…I kinda stayed in the Mind Palace all weekend," Izuku said. "I came out for meals, and Yumio stayed out to watch the news and see the entire coverage-Dad just left the news on the t.v. the entire time 'cause he couldn't see Yumio but we'd already said that he wanted to stay out and watch the news…I'm really sorry, I just kind of…shut down over everything."

"It's alright," Shoto said as they switched to their school shoes and began to make their way to their classroom, Izuku tensing up slightly on their way, and Shoto gave him a concerned look.

"Are you…sure you're ok?" Shoto asked.

"...we're debating on getting a new Side to help with confidence in a general situation, but until then, Mom's just singing a song called Confident, but that's not really helping because I'm definitely going to be asked about what happened, and I can't talk about what happened without talking about Dave and I'm already scared to talk to the therapist Dad's sending me to about the entire situation-it's been years and I'm still scared to even talk to Dad about it, even my Sides are still scared-it's terrifying, the entire situation-Dad, Kacchan, and Toshi don't even know everything, I don't think any one Side knows everything, either, we refuse to talk about everything-"

"Hey, you're getting worked up," Shoto said, flicking his forehead. "Relax. If you want, I can tell everyone that you don't want to talk about it, ok? Or you can just say that it was related to something that happened when you were a kid and don't feel like talking about it-our classmates are nice enough not to pester you that much if you outright say that you don't want to."

Izuku smiled at him again. "Thanks, Shoto." And…with that, they got to their classroom, stopping outside the door as Izuku took a deep breath before they stepped inside-

-and every classmate already there (16 students, only Shoji and Ojirou weren't there yet, same with Aizawa-sensei) stopped talking and stared at them.

Izuku hesitated, stepping back, but Shoto carefully guided him forward-

"Deku!"

…yeah, of course Kacchan wasn't just going to stay silent.

"You didn't answer any messages over the weekend, you-"

"Leave him be," Shoto sighed.

"What'd you say?!"

"I'm really sorry-I slept the entire weekend and just kinda…shut down," Izuku said, scratching the back of his head. "The Mind Palace got filled with gunk and so many emotions that it took all weekend to just…calm down? I'm really sorry…"

Instantly, Kacchan's face softened and he pulled Izuku into a hug, who was surprised-Kacchan didn't really do hugs…ever.

"Hisashi wouldn't even let us in to see you-thought you had gotten really hurt," Kacchan muttered.

"I'm…not gonna say I'm fine, but I'm getting there," Izuku muttered back as Kacchan pulled back and dragged Izuku back to his seat-

-and Momo, Mina, Uraraka, and Iida instantly stood up and walked over, starting to ask questions-

"I'm…not ready to talk about what happened," Izuku said, which made them quiet instantly. "I'll…I'll talk about when I am, but…that might not be for a long time…I'm sorry."

"I see…sorry for immediately questioning you," Iida said.

"You're just worried…thanks," Izuku said quietly.

"Well, yeah, you're our friend, and that entire screaming thing was really-" Mina started.

"Say that next word and I'll explode your face off!" Kacchan snapped, and Mina gave him an offended look.

"I was just saying-" Mina started.

"Ashido, trust us on this-don't finish that freaking statement," Toshi hissed.

Izuku just hunched his shoulders a little-

-and that's when Aizawa-sensei walked in.

"To your seats," Aizawa-sensei said, and everyone practically teleported to their seats-thank ghosts.

"Alright, everyone, to start, I'm incredibly sorry that you had to be part of that attack," Aizawa-sensei said. "The USJ Incident shouldn't have happened to begin with, let alone forcing you into a position that forced you to fight for your lives. We will do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen while you're in this class." He paused, then looked over the class before stopping and just staring at Izuku. "Midoriya…I honestly thought you weren't going to be here today." Everyone stared at Izuku, who kinda shrunk in his seat.

"I don't want to talk about it," Izuku said.

"...I'm excusing you from your next class to go see Hound Dog," Aizawa-sensei said.

Brazen simply started laughing. Aw, he's concerned about us!

Izuku just nodded instead of saying anything, and Aizawa-sensei nodded back.

"To be completely honest, I'm going to require all of you to go see Hound Dog at least once before the next big event of the year-one that you would do well to give your all," Aizawa-sensei said.

Instantly, everyone was on edge, and Izuku could practically feel the tension in the air-

"The UA Sports Festival is in two weeks," Aizawa-sensei said.

"So ordinary!"

"Alright!" Kirishima said excitedly.

"Wait, should we be holding it so soon after the USJ?" Tsu asked.

"Consider it a show of strength," Aizawa-sensei said. "We're still strong even after getting attacked."

Getting thrust into the spotlight? That…doesn't sound alright.

"Are they at least increasing security for this one as a result of the USJ attack?" Yumio asked through Izuku.

"Yes," Aizawa-sensei said. "Extra heroes have been hired as security for the event, and we will be having less people than usual, and we're also limiting the number of reporters and news stations that are allowed to be present-that being said, this event will still be broadcast across the entire country, so be prepared. These next two weeks will focus on training for the Sports Festival." He thought for a few seconds. "That's all I can really think of, so Homeroom's over until your next teacher gets here. Midoriya, come on, I'm taking you to Hound Dog's office."

I already have a therapist, Izuku groaned as he gathered his stuff and stood up.

Yeah, well, did you see what happened? Brazen asked. Otherwise, he probably just wants to ask you a few more questions himself but didn't want to say that.

fair enough, Izuku said as he followed Aizawa-sensei out of the classroom-

"Are you sure you're up to school today?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

Yep, there it is.

"I'm fine," Izuku said. "Or I will be-there's really not any point in not being at school today."

Aizawa-sensei gave him a doubtful look. "You seriously think that I didn't see what happened with the reporters?"

"Bold of you to assume that was real," Izuku said.

"...what?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"When Darlina and Hinata work together, they can put together a really realistic-looking breakdown without actually causing a breakdown," Izuku said.

"...you were literally sobbing," Aizawa-sensei said. "That…that isn't normal to just-"

"I can start sobbing at the drop of a hat for literally no reason-trust me, that's normal," Izuku said. "Have been able to since I was four-fun way of getting bullies off your back, most people are uncomfortable with uncontrollable sobbing and will just leave you alone."

"Am…am I supposed to be less concerned with that statement?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"Probably not-Dad's already signed me up for therapy, I'm going every Wednesday right after school until Dad's sure that I'm gonna be alright-so I really don't need to go see Hound Dog, I'm already seeing a therapist-"

"I know-actually, we aren't going to Hound Dog's office," Aizawa-sensei said.

Izuku gave him a surprised look. "We aren't?"

"Principal Nezu wanted to talk to you," Aizawa-sensei said.

Please tell me this is about that trapping quirk, that would be amazing right about now.

I have a feeling that that's not it…

Dang it.

It wasn't long before they reached Principal Nezu's office, where the principal opened the door and they walked inside, where-

"Oh, hello, Midoriya," Detective Tsukauchi said, while All Might-who had a black eye, which caused the Sides to just burst out laughing-just nodded from his chair, while Sir Nighteye just barely glanced their way. Mirio was sitting next to Sir Nighteye, and he simply smiled and waved-Izuku waved back nervously.

"Um…hi," Izuku said as Aizawa-sensei gave everyone a confused look.

"Do I wanna know what's going on?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"Of course!" Nezu said. "Would you both take a seat?" At that, the two heroes in the room gave him a surprised look.

"Why is he staying?" Sir Nighteye asked.

"I think that he needs to hear all of this, too," Nezu said as both of them sat down. Izuku tilted his head to the side (lol) and after a second, Odin appeared and sat on the armrest of the chair Izuku was sitting in.

"Ofa," Sir Nighteye said.

"Odin these days, Nights," Odin said, giving him a look. "I'm going to guess that we're here to talk about me, so it's probably best if I'm physically present."

"Why would we be…oh, the Shigaraki being your last name thing, right?" Aizawa-sensei asked as Darlina appeared.

"Are we also gonna talk about Tenko?" Darlina asked nervously.

"Well…yes and no," Detective Tsukauchi said.

"I looked to see if I could find anything about Shigaraki, but I didn't find much-or anything, really," Sir Nighteye said. "That last name hasn't really been used since…"

"Oh, yeah, now that I think about it, Liam didn't pass the last name onto his family, huh?" Odin asked. "And I died at the age of seventeen without any kids, which would mean that it's all connected to Lucas, right?"

"...who and who?" All Might asked.

Odin sighed. "First and All for One."

The three men nodded, while Aizawa-sensei sighed.

"I feel like I'm missing something here," Aizawa-sensei said.

"You are, and I think that it would be best if Odin gave us some more information-maybe there's something that we can learn from your past about this entire situation," Nezu said.

"We already know-" Sir Nighteye started, clearly annoyed.

"Ok, which beginning am I starting from?" Odin asked. "Like, with me and my siblings, or am I starting with Janice?"

"Who's that?" All Might asked. "None of these names-"

"Two hundred years and you Users can't even be bothered to learn the origins of your quirk?" Odin snapped, glaring at him. "You'd think that you'd at least have tried to learn something after I left, but no, instead you're so focused on this storyline that makes my eldest brother the villain and my other brother the sickly hero that was destined to defeat my eldest brother! Can you freaking stop!?"

They all blinked at Odin, who took a deep breath as Izuku reached up and put a hand on her shoulder, concerned. Odin smiled at him, then looked back at Nezu.

"I'm going to guess you know the general version-the one where I just came with the quirk, but Aizawa-sensei here knows none of it, huh?" Odin asked, looking at Aizawa-sensei, who nodded.

"Well, which event came first?" Nezu asked. "Start from there."

"Ok, so Janice's quirk awakening," Odin said, then began to tell the story…

Want to read it again? Go back to chapter five! I updated it, too (in case you missed my notes, I know some people skip them, so-)

"And All Might smashed Lucas's head into the ground, but I was already freed, but I didn't dare go far for a bit, only leaving the hospital after three days, where I found this kid walking around at around midnight-still don't understand why you were out there to begin with, Izuku, wanna share?"

"Nope," Izuku said.

"Fair enough!" Odin said, then looked back at the people in the room. Mirio looked surprised-well, everyone did. had stopped working a while back, so Izuku wasn't even sure if he'd really understood most of it, but he at least understood the first bit. "And, of course, that's the situation where we are now-or, well, you know the rest of the story. I stayed with Izuku from then on-he's my son and I will fight anyone who says otherwise-Lucas got arrested and later killed from my guesses-"

"I'm sorry…what was that?" Detective Tsukauchi asked, eyes wide.

Odin gave him an odd look. "Lucas got taken into custody and killed later on-I mean, I haven't seen his ghost yet, which is…odd, I thought he'd come try to find me, but two hundred years can change anyone, I guess-or maybe his ghost didn't even appear since his soul is over two hundred? I dunno."

"...he died at the scene," Sir Nighteye said. "You were there."

Odin snorted. "No he didn't. I mean, it was ridiculously close, one more punch would've done him in, but All Might was already about to collapse at this point, so I just decided to let the police deal with it."

"Odin…his body was never taken by the police," Detective Tsukauchi said.

Odin's eyes grew wide. "What are you talking about?"

"It was left on the scene in haste to get All Might to the hospital and some more villain attacks in the area were wrapped up and needed more attention, and by the time we got back, the body…wasn't…there…" Detective Tsukauchi trailed off.

Odin blinked. "You're…you're f*cking joking, right?"

"The villains must've wanted a funeral-we looked, but we couldn't find it," Sir Nighteye said. "Probably some unmarked grave somewhere."

"The man that can take quirks…who is known to have healing quirks and other quirks stolen over a two hundred year period, and you don't have the freaking body?!" Odin exclaimed.

"He's alive, isn't he?" Izuku said, eyes wide.

"Maybe he adopted Tenko and that's what's with the last name-and why we can't find him," Darlina said. "I mean, a villain lord of the underworld wouldn't have any official records of an adopted kid, but that still doesn't explain why Tenko didn't look 40 years old…"

"I'm still voting that Tenko had a kid at the age of twenty, or a clone was made when he was that age," Odin sighed, then groaned, then glared at the detective, Nighteye, and All Might. "I get that there was a bunch of other stuff going on, but you just left the body there?! Even if he had died, as long as the body still exists, it's possible to bring someone back from the dead, you know! The best bet would've been to cremate the body and scatter the ashes to the winds!" She groaned again, then paused. "He…he had a quirk that could bring ghosts back to life-was he behind those…fusions!? There are so many possibilites!" She sighed. "We'll start seeing what we can find on locating him-if Kurogiri is really made by Lucas, he could be literally anywhere! Tracking him's gonna be impossible if we can't get another clue!"

"Let us focus on finding him," Detective Tsukauchi said. "After all, Midoriya is still a student, and the Sports Festival is coming up-"

"Hate to break it to you, but this is really our business," Izuku said, then looked at Odin. "Lifeforce for information-not making a contract, but I can transfer a tiny bit of Lifeforce to a ghost if we get some information about your brother, but like you said, it's going to be impossible without another clue." He looked at Darlina. "Can you file that fear away for a later date? We can't focus on that right now-we can do information searches with ghosts if we push aside Mandalay's quirk research for now, or the trapping quirk, but we need time to prepare for the Sport Festival, and if we keep this on the front of our mind, it's going to be too distracting."

Darlina nodded. "I'll go…take care of it now."

"Thank you," Izuku said as she disappeared, then looked at everyone as he stood up. "That took…a while, class is mostly over, so it's almost lunchtime, right? Mirio, you were good to miss class, right?"

"I'm out on a considered Internship case," Mirio said.

"Fair enough," Izuku said. "I don't think you should stress about this right now, though, either-it's been years since then, about six, and Lucas-or All for One-hasn't really done anything else besides the USJ, and we don't even know for sure, that's just…we're pretty sure, but we probably don't have all the facts except for the fact that he's got to be alive."

"But even so, he used to be incredibly active and let cases be linked back to him," Odin said. "We knew for certain when he was involved-if he's stopped letting himself be involved, he wants us to think he actually is dead, which means trying to lie low-and after the USJ? If he was involved, there's no way he's going to do something until after the Sports Festival at least-and that's being pessimistic. Realistically, he won't do anything for the next…four months, around August and summertime. Optimistically, we've got about a year before he does something again, let us think we truly won and that this was just some weird incident and let us start to forget about all this before striking when we're least prepared and devastate us with too many losses."

"How is that optimistic?" everyone said.

"I know my brother-I'm saying that we might have tons of time, and he would think that's what's gonna happen, but we actually know, so we can continue to prepare," Odin said. "We just need to stay vigilant, but we can relax a little bit right now-at least, Izuku and Mirio can, you adults have some work to do and too much paperwork on your hands-and I vote that Detective Lie Detector, Nights, and Mighty-boi over here take care of most of it-you didn't properly close this can of worms six years ago, which means that you've gotta fix it, got it?"

"I can-" Mirio started.

"Mirio, you're literally a child that doesn't have anything to do with this-had the job been done properly, then you wouldn't even know any of this-you shouldn't know about any of this," Odin said.

"Hey, I'm seventeen!" Mirio said.

"So was I when I died, and that was two hundred years ago-trust me, seventeen isn't an adult," Odin said.

"Oh, yeah, speaking of which, are we telling Kacchan, Toshi, and Shoto about all this, Mom?" Izuku asked.

"I mean, why not?" Odin asked. "Gonna break Kacchan's world when I finally tell him more about myself-he's been asking for years."

"And that's the best part-I'll record his reaction," Izuku said.

"I will save it to one of the changing photos in the Mind Palace living room," Odin said.

"Which one?" Izuku asked.

"Yes," Odin said.

"That…didn't answer the question?" Sir Nighteye said, raising an eyebrow.

"Might as well!" Odin said.

"Ok boomer," Izuku muttered at the same time.

"Whelp!" Odin said, standing up as the bell rang for lunch. "Food time!" With that, she disappeared as Izuku stood up.

"All of this staying in this room?" Izuku asked.

"I think that we should inform the rest of the staff, but if you mean not to talk about it with your classmates, then yes," Nezu said.

"Are you a mind reader or something?" Izuku asked, then sighed and shook his head before turning to Mirio. "Let's go get lunch!"

Mirio nodded, then paused. "Uh…what are we saying happened during this time?"

"The Nighteye Agency was tasked with looking for Shigaraki, so we pulled Midoriya aside to ask him a few questions about something that didn't add up from yesterday-that's basically what happened anyway," Sir Nighteye said.

"But not the full truth," Detective Tsukauchi said. "Enough to fool my quirk, though."

"Lie by omission," Izuku said. "Well, let's get going!" With that, he grabbed Mirio's hand and dragged him away.

.

"So was anyone going to tell me that Togata got a quirk that was transferred, knew Midoriya before the kid was a student at UA, and one of Midoriya's familiars felt so awful for years because of something she couldn't control?"

"Uh-"

"All Might, I swear, I will give you two more black eyes."

"I already have one-"

"Did I stutter?"

"Wha-"

"I'm not calling Recovery Girl in for that."

"Good."

This chapter got out of hand fast! It was just supposed to be some Tododeku fluff, the festival getting announced, and Izuku's first therapy session(which I was probably going to skip anyway), and then this dumpster fire happened, and I'm just gonna have to roll with it! All because my mind decided that the Detective, Nighteye, All Might, Mirio, and Odin all needed to meet up with Nezu, Aizawa, and Izuku along for the ride, and now you have this glorious mess of a chapter!
