I am! Probably not going to update this for a WHILE, so I'm gonna apologize now-I just got on a rewrite project spree with five or six multi-hundred stories that need to be reread, revised, and rewritten, just finished one of them that ended up twice as long as the original… So here's that apology in advance. I AM SO SORRY! (Also, I was in a bad mood when writing the first bit, so if it's…off? I'm sorry!)

AND! I JUST CAME UP WITH THE FUNNIEST THING TO GET RID OF DAVE! BUT THAT WON'T HAPPEN UNTIL THE DORMS! And Izuku forgot to ask about Hakagure's name-I still have time to have some fun with this!

I also have four more arcs until they actually move into the dorms, and I've been pushing out about an arc every chapter or two. Huh. Or, like, HUGE events, smaller, more for-fun events, HUGE event…well, then. Last chapter was more for fluff and fun, so I guess that means-

Internships!

Enjoy!

Izuku glanced at Iida and turned on Emory's quirk again-yep, he was still angry, and his internship was in Hosu-Shoto was worried, too, but Aizawa-sensei wasn't able to change Iida's internship just because they were suspicious, but had promised to talk to Iida about it, as well as anyone that was too close to Hosu to make it look more of a concern that the Hero Killer was last spotted in that area. Everyone had insisted that they were fine and knew to run the other way-besides, weren't they about to send in the big guns to take care of the situation, anyway? It would be fine!

(Didn't do much to make Izuku and Shoto stop worrying, though.)

Kacchan was going to intern with Best Jeanist, saying something about "the guy knows how to do fashion, so the old man and hag would be interested in what he's got to say."

Toshi, on the other hand, was interning under an underground hero named Shade. He had a quirk that allowed him to control shadows, and not much else was known about him (well, of course, Izuku knew more about him than he should probably admit, but that's only because he's talked to so many ghosts that have encountered the guy-)

Meanwhile, Shoto, Izuku, and Tokoyami were going to intern under Hawks! Izuku's favorite limelight hero! (Because honestly, who could see Eraserhead fight and not pick him as their favorite unless they were Shoto and it was out of spite? Give credit where credit's due.)

"Alright, remember, you are only allowed to wear your costumes when on patrol with the hero you're interning with or when they say you can," Aizawa-sensei told everyone at the train station. "These are still property of the school-if you wear them just because, we will know, and there will be consequences. Understand?"

"Yes, sensei!" everyone said.

"Now, your trains are starting to arrive, so get going," Aizawa-sensei said.

"Yay!" Dark Shadow said, coming out and wrapping around Izuku's shoulders. "We get to intern together!"

"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami scolded, but Izuku waved him off and pet the top of Dark Shadow's head.

"We're excited for the internship, too, Dark Shadow," Odin said happily.

"Yes, Hawks will be incredibly beneficial to intern under," Tokoyami said. "Although I am surprised. Both of you received offers from Endeavor, and Izuku, you even got an offer from All Might himself. Why choose Hawks over the two of them?"

"Endeavor is a raging dumpster fire," Shoto said.

"And my Sides have never been big All Might fans-I'm not, either," Izuku said. "On the other hand, Hawks also has wings-I've been debating on studying his quirk for a while now, and he's my favorite limelight hero, but I've had more…pressing subjects of research."

"Ah, I see," Tokoyami said as they got to the platform their train would be at-ah, perfect timing, it was just arriving! Almost as if-

The voice will get mad if we break the fourth wall again, Odin said.

YOU JUST DID!

Izuku flinched, but he still chuckled as Shoto and Tokoyami, as well as Dark Shadow, gave him a concerned look.

"Is something funny?" Shoto asked.

"Just tallying how much we owe the-wait, don't want to do more damage-forget about it," Izuku said. "Just an inside joke between my Sides and I."

Thankfully, the two took that answer.

DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW EXPENSIVE THE FOURTH WALL IS?! I'M A COLLEGE STUDENT, I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY-

Then stop breaking it yourself and continue the story, Izuku said.

EHEM. RIGHT.

The three got onto the train-the ride would be about an hour in one of the prefectures of Tokyo-normally, Hawks was based in Fukuoka, but for the internship week, he was working on some minor cases in Tokyo, minor enough that he could train in interns while he was at it. So this was going to be really fun!

.

"Hello!"

The three looked around in wonder at Hawk's (temporary Tokyo) Agency, then at the hero himself, in the flesh, standing in front of them!

"Alright, let's see if I can remember your names right-Shoto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Izuku Midoriya, right?" Hawks asked, pointing at…Izuku, Shoto, then Tokoyami.

"Right names, wrong people," the three deadpanned.

"Aw!" Hawks pouted-yep, he actually pouted.

He really is close to our age, Izuku said.

22, to be exact-seven years older than us, Yumio said.

Doesn't act it, Darlina said.

"I'm Shoto Todoroki," Shoto said.

"I'm Tokoyami," Tokoyami said.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya-although feel free to call me Izuku, it gets less confusing," Izuku said.

"How?" Hawks asked, raising an eyebrow as Darnell appeared in snake form, wrapping loosely around Izuku's neck, causing Hawks to yelp and jump.

Izuku gently reached up and pat the top of Darnell's head. "This is Darnell-he also responds to Midoriya, along with a few others in my head, so…yeah."

"I…I see," Hawks said. "Sorry, but could you…um…?"

"Oh, uncomfortable with snakes?" Izuku asked as Darnell disappeared. "Sorry, should've realized that and done something besides that to prove my point."

"That's…that's fine," Hawks said. "Honestly, I'm just surprised-you had wings, didn't you?"

"Oh, these?" Izuku asked, making his wings appear.

"Yeah, those!" Hawks said. "You had another pair, too?"

"Yeah, but it kinda hurts to have out-when the adrenaline high died down, I started to feel it-not a pleasant feeling," Izuku said.

"Oof," Hawks said, then turned to Shoto and Tokoyami. "As for you two! I see a fellow birb."

did he just say birb? As in, that prequirk joke? HOW DOES HAWKS KNOW THAT?!

My respect for him has grown. Aizawa-sensei has competition for my favorite hero now.

"Birb?" Tokoyami asked.

"Bird but more meme-y," Izuku and Shoto said at the same time-ah, that's right, Izuku had shown Shoto that meme!

"Nice!" Hawks said.

"I have…never heard that before," Tokoyami said.

"It's prequirk," Shoto said.

"Then…why do you three…?" Tokoyami trailed off.

"I got bored one day and dove into prequirk internet," Hawks said. "Haven't looked back."

"Understandable, have a nice day," Shoto said.

"That's an all-out mood right there," Izuku said.

Hawks laughed. "Now, to get back to what I was saying." He looked at Shoto. "Your father's a jerk."

"Ah, a man of culture, I see," Shoto said.

Only have a few weeks before the court case! Odin said-she'd gone to see Nezu about a potential AFO lead and he'd informed her on the subject on Thursday.

"Yep, and I decided to snatch you from him if possible," Hawks said.

"Wait, you're literally known as an Endeavor fan-what changed that?" Izuku asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Wait, you know about that?" Hawks asked.

"No top hero has a completely confidential childhood," Izuku said. "If you dive deep enough into the internet, you can find pictures of you as a child with Endeavor action figures, not to mention that you've posted online about being excited to team up with Endeavor, showing that that admiration has passed through from childhood to adulthood."

"How…you know what, I've decided that you're terrifying in your own right, and I'm gonna leave it at that," Hawks said.

"Thank you," Izuku said.

"Now!" Hawks said. "First off, I saw you three at the Sports Festival, but I wanna see for myself what you're capable of! Training room, let's go!"

Shoto tensed a little, but Izuku quickly grabbed his hand and squeezed as they walked-didn't go unnoticed as they followed Hawks.

He never answered the question… Odin said.

I'll let him keep that secret, Izuku said.

(What could this reason be? Is this a Dabihawks fic where Dabi opened up to Hawks about his childhood? Has Hawks caught wind of the case against Endeavor and found out why? Did his admiration of Endeavor fade due to the author's *pulls out metal baseball bat* influence? You decide! Epic Rap! Battle! Of-oh, wait, wrong fandom! Two points if you get the reference, though! But do let me know which of those you want it to be, or if you think it should be another reason altogether! I honestly have no clue why at this point! But! Plot!)

"Alright!" Hawks said a few hours later as Shoto and Tokoyami laid on the mats, panting for breath, while Izuku did some cooldown stretches. "That was really impressive-didn't expect first-years to be able to keep up with me like that! I thought you'd be down after thirty minutes! It's been four hours! And you're still going, Mi-Izuku?"

"Yeah," Izuku said, looking at him. "One of my familiars has a quirk called Endless Energy-it's not endless, but I've yet to meet someone that could actually make me exhausted since I got it."

"Interesting-so the goal is to find out the limits of that," Hawks said. "Can you go without sleeping?"

"In theory?" Izuku asked. "100%. In practice? Mental exhaustion would kick in, and my brain needs the time to reboot at night-I do plan on testing the limits of Endless Energy in a controlled environment in the near future, though, probably over summer break when I can afford to do so."

"Fair enough!" Hawks said. "Now, I ordered some to-go chicken for all of us, should be here anytime now-"

"Wait, when did you-" Shoto started between breaths.

"My stamina's pretty great, too-you didn't even notice me texting my secretary to get us food, though, so we'll have to work on some situational awareness," Hawks said.

He really is good-we didn't even notice, and we had our eyes on him the entire time, Yui said.

Oh, wait, he probably used his feathers to do that, Paz said.

we do be dumb at times, Brazen said.

Dividing his attention so could have been dangerous, and yet he did it in a way that we were not able to notice, Yumio said. We still have so much to improve on.

We'll work on it, Izuku said. We'll notice next time.

"Whelp!" Hawks said, plopping down. "While you guys are impressive, I still have some feedback to give you besides situational awareness."

They all perked up at that, eager to listen.

..

The internships had just started, but Iida was already getting…antsy.

He was interning under the Normal Hero: Manual in Hosu City, still looking for his revenge against Stain-not that anyone knew, nobody could have known.

Currently, Iida and Manual were on patrol, and Iida was looking around, hoping to spot some trace of the infamous Hero Killer.

"I'm honestly surprised you chose Hosu," Manual said, and Iida looked at him. "I mean, as a member of the Iida family, I thought you'd get offers from all over Japan, and you didn't do too bad at the sports festival, either."

"Yes, but I chose to come here for the experience, and this allows me to be closer to the hospital my brother is at so I may visit him in my downtime," Iida said.

"Ah, that makes sense-how's Ingenium doing, anyway?" Manual asked.

"He is recovering," Iida said.

"Hmm…didn't he get paralyzed from the waist down, though?" Manual asked. "That can't be nice."

"A classmate of mine has a healing aspect of his quirk that allowed him to give my brother back his mobility," Iida said. "Recovery is still expected to take some time, but it will be possible."

"Aw, that's nice!" Manual said. "Healing quirks are super rare! Wish he'd come here as well!"

"I believe he chose to intern under Hawks," Iida said.

"...ok, that makes sense," Manual said. "But still! So cool!" He chuckled nervously. "Of course, you aren't here to talk about your friend, you're here for your internship."

"Yeah-" Iida said as a crowd of fangirls came up and started talking to Manual, who started to talk with them as well.

I will have to find a way to sneak away and find Stain soon, Iida thought. It's almost the end of the first day…I will have time. I will get revenge.

..yeah, Iida, that doesn't exactly go well for you. You know why? Here's why!...

"Alright!" Hawks said on the third day of the internships. "Today, we're actually leaving this part of Tokyo!"

"Wait, really?" Izuku asked.

"Yep!" Hawks said. "I have a small case in Ota that's urgent-nothing dangerous, I promise, just a tiny gang that I'm helping stop before it becomes too big-even so, I don't want you kids getting involved, you're just there to watch, got it?"

"Got it," the three said.

"Good!" Hawks said. "Now, as much as I'd love to just fly there, I kinda can't carry all three of you, and I'm pretty sure that flight would be too much if I gave Izuku here permission to fly one of you there…that's a bit of a distance-I mean, I know you could handle it, but no. So, instead, we're taking the train."

"Ok," the three said.

"...why are you speaking in unison, that's kinda weird," Hawks said.

"Of course it's weird-that's why we planned out responses beforehand, to freak you out," Tokoyami said.

"...I have the three weirdest interns possible," Hawks said.

"You're the one that extended the offer-no take backs while we're here," Shoto said.

"I didn't say I regret having the three weirdest inters possible, just that I do," Hawks said. "Now, let's get going-gotta catch that train."

"Oh, we're passing through Hosu now!" Izuku said. "I wonder how Iida's doing."

"Wait, they allowed students here with the Hero Killer still at large?" Hawks asked, eyes wide.

"We were warned beforehand and told not to engage in case of an encounter," Tokoyami said. "For even being anywhere near Hosu."

"Besides, Iida's brother is in the hospital here, so he wanted to go visit during the internship if he would get free time," Shoto said, then sighed. "At least, that's what he's saying-I don't believe him."

"Huh?" Hawks and Tokoyami asked as Izuku lightly slapped Shoto's arm.

"Come on, you know that it's just worry," Izuku said.

"You said so yourself," Shoto said. "Iida's still angry over the whole situation."

"Yeah, but he's also not dumb-" Izuku said-

CRASH!

The entire train jolted, and people started to scream as something burst through the side of the train-

..we interrupt your regularly scheduled program with a quick flashback to somewhere else…

"What?" Chizome Akaguro, aka Stain, asked, glaring around at the League of Villains. He was standing in their bar, and this wasn't a situation he wanted himself in, and they dare ask such a request?

"You heard me," the man with the hand on his face-Tomura Shigaraki, as he had introduced himself-said. "I would like to add you to our party-what do you say? Join the League of Villains and help us kill All Might?"

"Have you not heard my message?" Stain asked. "There are no true heroes in this world besides All Might-he is the only hero I will leave standing in this carnage."

"There is nothing great about him," Shigaraki said.

Stain drew his swords. "All Might is the standard any hero should hold themselves to-all other heroes are scum of this world that need to be eradicated. Vermin like you need to be eradicated as well-shall I do that now?"

"Now, now, play nice," Kurogiri said as Shigaraki stood up and put his hand on the counter-

"Oh, you could try, but you wouldn't get far," Shigaraki said-

"That is enough!" Kurogiri said, then teleported Stain away and made a portal under Shigaraki's hand that led to the air so he wouldn't destroy anything. "I suppose that we cannot recruit Stain."

"Hmm…but we can upstage him," Shigaraki said. "Kurogiri, what if we do an attack on Hosu? People will pay more attention to us than his next kill."

"As you wish, Tomura," Kurogiri said.

now, back to your regularly scheduled program….

A freaking ghost abomination crashed through the side of the train, and the passengers screamed as Hawks, Tokoyami, Shoto, and Izuku shot out of their seats and got ready to fight it-

Hawks shot forward a bunch of feathers and rushed at it. "Evacuate the train, use your quirks if necessary!" With that, he pulled the creature out of the train and started to fight it.

"Alright, everyone, you heard Hawks, we're getting off the train!" Izuku yelled, deciding against copying Present Mic's quirk-while it would be useful in this situation, it was also too crowded and likely to make people nearby deaf. "Let's get going!"

Izuku felt a tug on his arm, and he paused, looking at his wrist.

Shoto stopped, looking at Izuku-they had already gotten the people far enough from the attack, and they were heading back fast to see what they could help with, but…

Izuku held up his wrist, making the band he had connected to Iida show, and it was tugging. "Something's wrong with Iida."

"Of course-after all, look at the area around us," Tokoyami said. "Although I should question what that is and how it connects-"

"He didn't," Shoto said.

"I don't know," Izuku said. "But…Iida might be in danger."

"Then let's get going!" Dark Shadow said.

Mom, Mama, go forward and see what you can find, Izuku said, and he felt Odin and Yui leave the Mind Palace and quickly fly away.

"This way," Izuku said, pointing, and the other two nodded. All three started running.

..

I should not have done this.

Iida cried out as Stain stabbed his arm.

"I can't stand fake heroes like yourself," Stain hissed. "You believe yourselves to be above everyone else, call yourselves the saviors of civilians, and yet look at you. Such filth in this society. There are heroes out there that don't even care about civilians, only making more and more money. Figures-"

"Let him go."

They both looked at the mouth of the alleyway where two figures, with the light to their backs and not easy to see-granted, Iida was getting dizzy, that might have been part of it-stood.

"Who are you?" Stain asked. "Are you more heroes in training like this one? Fakes?"

"Hmm," the first one said, stalking closer-Iida could now make them out-

-oh no, he'd seen her before-

"Fakes, you say?" Odin asked, leaning on one leg and raising her right arm, completely black-was that due to her quirk? That seemed odd, and Iida felt the need to ask-not the time.

"Heroes in training aren't fake heroes-we're working on getting there," Yui said with a smile. "Unfortunately, we actually have to live to get there, so would you mind letting our friend go?"

"I-" Stain started, then he froze.

"Take your sword out of our friend and step back," Yui said.

To Iida's surprise, Stain did just that, and Yui continued to stare at him as Odin rushed over and looked at Iida's arm, helping him sit up, but as soon as she let go, Iida slumped back down again.

"Are you alright?" Odin asked. "Oh, who am I kidding, of course you're not-here, let me." She placed her hand over Iida's arm and began to sing a song quietly under her breath-Iida couldn't hear the words, but right after she was done, he could move again-

Iida slapped her arm away. "This has nothing to do with you-what are you even doing here?!"

"Stopping you from making a huge mistake and getting yourself killed," Odin said. "Did you forget that we've already died? Yeah, that's not a pleasant feeling, Iida."

"This is my fight-don't get involved!" Iida said, standing up and shoving her away, then he turned to Stain and went to punch him-

"Wait!" Yui said, but she was too late-Iida punched Stain in the face, and Stain was released from her control, causing Yui to gasp-

Stain swung his sword to hit Iida, but Odin rushed forward and took the sword in her arm.

"Stay out of this!" Iida said, going to punch Stain again-

Odin quickly grabbed onto the blade and pulled, shocking Stain as she tore the sword from his grip and tossing it to the side, but Stain slashed his other sword towards Iida, hitting him-

.

Izuku quickly took his phone out and pulled up Hawk's contacts, calling him-

"Hey, Flere, what-" Hawks started.

"One of our classmates interning in Hosu, Iida-he's fighting Stain right now-yep, the Hero Killer-and he's going to need backup-we aren't there yet, heading there now, already got the citizens far enough to be safe, we were heading to see if we could help with the attack, my tracker on Iida started going off-"

"Slow down, what!?" Hawks exclaimed.

"Some of my familiars are there helping him, but they might not last for too long, so I'll send you the exact location when we get there-if you're too busy, you can give it to someone else, but we're gonna need backup as soon as we get there-do we have permission to use our quirks to fight him if necessary?" Izuku asked.

"...yes, and don't make me regret this," Hawks said. "I want that location as soon as you get there, got it?"

"Got it," Izuku said.

"Alright-holy SH-" Hawks said, then hung up quickly, and Izuku stuffed his phone back in his pocket.

"What's happening?" Shoto asked.

"Whelp, Iida's an idiot," Izuku said. "He really just punched Stain and told Mom to stay out of his way, so now all three of them are fighting him-oh, and Native's there, but he's not moving-Yui, try to find out what's up, is he unconscious? No? Ok, figure out what's up with him and see if he can send out a mass location-oh, wait, fighting Stain-nevermind, we'll send the location when we get there, just…hang in there." He took a deep breath. "Well, let's keep going-it is not pretty."

Izuku instantly tossed Yui the phone as he lunged at Stain, using Odn's strength quirk to help him tackle the man, sending him barreling away from Iida as Izuku pinned the man to the ground, and Shoto was quick to send a wave of ice, helping to freeze Stain to the ground-

At least, that was the intention, as Stain shoved Izuku off him and jumped back, throwing some knives their way. Izuku jumped back, light on his toes, then jumped at Stain again, but this time, Stain was ready with a knife and stabbed at him, barely grazing his arm and getting a little bit of blood-

Izuku kicked the knife out of Stain's grip, then uppercut him in the stomach-

Alright, Hawks will be here in two minutes-we have to stall until then! Yui said, sticking the phone in her pocket and rushing over to Native, who still couldn't move.

"Ok, now I've got time!" Yui said, kneeling down and looking over his body better-there were a few cuts here and there, nothing life threatening-

Izuku froze and collapsed to the ground as Stain licked his hand, a few drops of blood still there from off the knife, and Izuku couldn't. Move.

"Ah, there we go," Stain said, glaring at him-

Dark Shadow rushed at Stain as Izuku tried to move, but he couldn't.

That was my blood on his hand…wait, what do we know about Stain's quirk? Izuku asked.

Publicly, there's nothing really known besides that he paralyzes his victims, Odin said.

Wait, you're paralyzed! Hinata exclaimed.

It started the second he…

"He has to ingest blood to paralyze them," Izuku said loudly. "Don't let him get your blood!"

"Good thing I don't have any!" Dark Shadow said.

"And neither do we!" Odin and Yui said, rushing at Stain together and punching him.

"This is-" Iida started.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?!" Shoto hissed, dragging Iida backwards from Stain-Iida was in shock at this point. "He's killed people twice our age with so much more training, and yet you still thought you could fight him!?"

"This…this isn't your fight," Iida muttered.

"You're our friend, so we're making it our fight," Shoto said as a large amount of feathers flew into the alley and shot at Stain, knocking him away, and Odin, Yui, and Dark Shadow slightly retreated as Hawks burst into the alley and tackled Stain-

"If he ingests your blood, he paralyzes you-be careful!" Izuku said-

-as he felt control again.

Izuku blinked as he pushed himself off the ground.

What…? Izuku wondered as Tokoyami rushed over and helped him up.

"Are you alright?" Tokoyami asked.

"I…Iida was down longer-why am I up so soon?" Izuku muttered. "Different times…is that because of how much blood Stain ingests? Or…" He paused, then looked at Native. Yui, you said that there were very few cuts on him… "Iida, how much blood of yours did Stain ingest? More or less than Native?"

"Uh…more, I suppose?" Iida asked. "Native was paralyzed first."

Dark Shadow rushed over and grabbed Native and dragged him over to them.

"You still can't move?" Izuku asked.

"N-No," Native said. "I can't."

Izuku thought for a few seconds. "Then what…what makes the times different? Iida had more severe wounds…"

Let me think…maybe blood type? Yumio asked. Or dependent on quirks to begin with-the more powerful the quirk, the longer the person is out.

No offense, but I'd assume that Native's quirk is more powerful than Iida's at the moment, Izuku said. But

"I have blood type O-Iida, Native, with you two?"

"Um…A?" Iida said.

"B?" Native said, confused.

"Alright," Izuku said. "We have a running theory that it's dependent on blood type-"

Hawks yelped, and Izuku instantly got up to see Stain slashing him with a knife-

We need to keep him from the blood! Izuku said. Which also means the knives-we're gonna have to use Inko's quirk here, therefore-

Attraction, can pull small objects-I've got this! Yui said as she reached forward and took hold of all of Stain's knives and pulled them towards her-

"Hawks, look out!" Izuku said, and, thankfully, Hawks jumped out of the way, and Yui released the knives a safe enough distance away, stepping out of the way so she didn't get stabbed-just because she couldn't bleed doesn't mean those wouldn't hurt.

Stain made a noise-it didn't even sound human!-and rushed to lick at Hawk's cut-gross, his tongue was creepily long!-but Izuku was already right there, and he cringed internally as he grabbed Stain's tongue and pulled, setting him off balance, and Hawks used that to pin Stain on his back, arms behind him, and the hero quickly hit the hero killer hard on the head, knocking him out, and Stain slumped down.

"Do we have rope?" Hawks asked. "The police will be here soon with quirk suppressant cuffs-damnit, I lent my pair out earlier, shouldn't grabbed another-"

"I have some-hey, wait, I can move again!" Native said, standing up and walking over sheepishly, handing over his rope. "I'm really sorry I wasn't helpful here…"

"You were paralyzed," Hawks said, tying the villain's arms behind his back and hoisting him up with his feathers-

"Is everything alright?!"

They all turned to see-

"Tch," Shoto muttered, sounding a lot like Kacchan as Endeavor stepped into the alleyway.

"Yo, we've managed to catch the hero killer!" Hawks said, dragging the villain out of the alleyway, and they all walked out of the alleyway as well-

"Shoto?!" Endeavor exclaimed, staring at Shoto, who shrugged and moved slightly closer to Izuku as Odin and Yui-plus Duke-exchanged a look, then disappeared, going back to the Mind Palace.

"Yeah, my interns are wild-I told them to help with evacuating citizens, and then one of them calls me to say that another kid was fighting the hero killer and needed backup!" Hawks chuckled, then looked at Iida. "Really dumb choice there, kid. Really dumb."

Iida opened his mouth, but Native quickly nudged him and, subtly, gestured in a direction-they all glanced-it was the media, filming them-oh, great, they had to put on an act, didn't they?

"It wasn't by choice-we ran across the hero killer on complete coincidence-we're lucky that your interns found us," Native said. "Nice work taking him down, Hawks."

"Eh, give my interns some credit," Hawks said-

There was a scream, and they all looked up to see-

-one of those abominations diving at them-!

Izuku immediately reached out and thought for a few seconds-take it out, take it out, take it out!-and was quick to do exactly what he'd done last time-

Izuku quickly turned on Disconnect-we can freak out about it later, that thing has very sharp-looking claws-I think I can barely make them out!-that look like they could do some serious damage and I am not messing with that-and-

The Nomu got there and grabbed him before he could do anything, starting to fly away as the heroes started to activate their quirks-

The creature fell, and Izuku hit the ground, and before he could even comprehend what had just happened-

"This society overgrown with fake heroes…and the criminals who wave their power around idly…should all be purged. This is all to create a more just society."
Stain stared at everyone as Izuku tried to push himself back up, but he couldn't-

This isn't like the rest of his quirk, it's his…

Bloodlust. It's so overwhelming-is this was Takaoka felt when Nagisa nearly killed him? (three points if you get the reference, it took me a while to get the actual spelling because I couldn't remember it and my connection decided to disappear on me-)

"Come! Try and get me, you fakes! The only one I'll let kill me is the true hero, All Might!"

Please, he's really not that good of a person-

And, with that, Stain…stopped, and Izuku felt like he could move again as Stain collapsed-

"Quick! Get cuffs on him! Hurry!"

Izuku looked at the creature next to him as it…started to look more like a body…bird like creature with an exposed brain, that must be what Aizawa-sensei meant-and ghosts started to come out of it-

Izuku went pale as one particular ghost stopped and stood in front of him, even as all the other ghosts flew away as fast as they possibly could-

Tsubasa.

The boy in front of him looked just like he had when he'd disappeared when they were seven years old…but now he was…dead.

Tsubasa looked him up and down, looked him in the eye, smiled, then flew away, and Izuku watched.

"Izuku?"

Izuku jolted, then looked at Shoto, who grabbed his hand, concerned.

"Is…is everything alright?" Shoto asked softly.

Izuku took a deep breath, then smiled. "Yeah…yeah, just…ghosts came out of that…I can see what it looks like-"

"Izuku, you're bleeding," Shoto said.

"Hmm?" Izuku asked, looking down-oh, yep, he could feel that now. "Oh, I didn't notice."

Shoto sighed. "Of course you didn't-come on, there's an ambulance nearby."

"I have a healing quirk-" Izuku started.

"You're going to a professional," Shoto said. "They're right there."

..

"Wait, you knew how to find me?!"

"Well…yeah?" Izuku said, then held up his wrist and made the band between him and Iida appear. "I was worried that you'd do something, especially since you decided to go to Hosu where Stain was, so I…kinda put a tracker on you." With that, he made it snap on Iida's end and completely disappear. "There we go! I'm sorry that I did that without asking…"

"You…you knew that I would go after the hero killer," Iida said. "You were simply making sure that I didn't get myself killed…thank you. You have already done so much for me, and all I have done is cause you trouble and made you worry…"

"I'd worry anyway-it was a nice distraction from something else I'm worrying about, though," Izuku said. "But seriously, Iida, it's good that you got angry-you really care about your brother, and you wanted revenge. However, there was a better way to go about it, but I understand, I suppose. Just…don't do it again. I won't put another tracker on you unless it's absolutely necessary, so we won't be able to be there next time, ok?"

"Ok," Iida said. "Still, though, thank you."

Izuku smiled. "No prob! After all, you're my friend!"

Before Iida could protest, a doctor walked in…

…with Endeavor…

…Hisashi…

…Shun Iida…

…and a woman that was clearly Tokoyami's mother.

"Izuku!" Hisashi said, immediately rushing to his son and fussing over him. "Are you alright!? You got attacked by the hero killer, of course you aren't-can you guys stop giving me a heart attack, please?! I know that you have a healing quirk or two ready at any time, but that doesn't mean you should get yourself into these life or death situations! It's been a month since the last one-give me some time to recover, will you!?"

"I'm really sorry, Dad," Izuku said sheepishly. "In my defense, I wasn't looking for either to happen…they just…kinda did?"

Hisashi sighed, then looked at Shoto and ruffled his hair. "You're the one that has better control of recklessness-couldn't you have dragged him away?"

Shoto shrugged. "It's Izuku-you tell me."

"Wait, you know him?" Endeavor asked.

Shoto shrugged. "He's my classmate?"

"You shouldn't be on such familiar terms-" Endeavor started.

"Oh, hey, Midoriya," Iida-san said. "Didn't think I'd see you in the hospital-then again, never thought Tenya would do something so reckless-Tenya!" Iida-san said, walking up to his son and hugging him. "You had us so worried-why would you do something like that?!"

"I'm sorry, dad," Iida said, hugging his father back while Tokoyami's mom fussed over him and Endeavor walked up to Shoto, who turned away from him and walked over to Izuku and Hisashi. Hisashi glanced at him, then pulled him into a hug and started fussing over him as well, leaving a shocked Endeavor to stare at them.

"Alright, so, everyone turned out to be fine-likely because that one has a healing quirk and used it on the scene," the doctor said as a police officer walked in.

"Which we should talk about-" the officer said as Hawks walked in after him.

"Yo, I gave my interns permission to use their quirks-Native told me that the other one, too, so they can't get in trouble for quirk use," Hawks said. "Don't even start that speech on vigilantism that I know you were about to start."

"...do you have a copy of Mandalay's quirk?" Izuku muttered under his breath, and Shoto and Hisashi started laughing at that, getting odd looks from everyone in the room.

"Either way, I just came to say that now that the case is over and you guys are alright, I got permission to take my interns back as long as we head somewhere other than Hosu-not a problem, we were heading somewhere else, anyway-but you guys are staying overnight at least, right?"

"Correct, for observation," the doctor said.

"Good-I'll be back in the morning," Hawks said, then left.

"...he's chill, I like him," Hisashi said.

"There's a reason he's my favorite hero," Shoto said.

"Still like Eraserhead better," Izuku said as Endeavor let out an offended squawk.

"Are you a bird now?" Dark Shadow asked, coming out and poking at Endeavor.

"How dare-" Endeavor started, but Hisashi looked at him and glared-oh, if only looks could kill.

"How about you shut your mouth?" Hisashi said. "If you aren't here to keep fussing over these kids, you can leave."

"You're-" Endeavor started.

"Go away, Endeavor," Shoto said.

Endeavor paused as Izuku snorted, then the flame hero spun on his heels and left, causing the kids-plus Hisashi-to laugh as the other parents looked confused.

I'm gonna call that a chapter! What did you think?
