So…as it turns out, I don't get email updates when you guys review anymore (gonna change that), but as I updated the last chapter, I saw that I had 86 reviews, and I immediately checked on that. I've been having a really bad week-my anxiety comfort item broke, and the one I ordered is missing, and I'm no longer getting any updates on it, and as I've said before, your comments never fail to make my day…thank you. So much.

Also, it's been three years since I published this. 3 years. That's weird.

But you aren't here to see me cry, you're here to see the aftermath of the camp, also known as KAMINO-

Society's gonna be F***ED, losing their top two heroes in a month. And now it's Hawks. Let. That. Sink. In.

ALSO. I updated Chapter 5 again, and I'm sorry that this chapter note is getting really long, but here's the reason that Chapter 5 was originally so different in case anyone was wondering: it was originally a plot point I was going to make and I was foreshadowing for it. What the pink beam originally did was heal Odin and All Might AS WELL AS change Odin's memories to paint Lucas in a more positive light. Then, later on, the fake memories would start fading away and the real ones would pop up (only doing so after Lucas was dead), leading to Odin being confused and trying to seek the truth, ultimately leading to something similar to what Yui did. However, I ultimately decided to drop it because it sounds like too much work, so I know that there are still some inconsistencies and such from when I was planning that, but honestly, this fic is already becoming overwhelming, and I don't need to add another layer of complicated to this.

Enjoy the chapter! Because it's only going to get darker from here.

When Izuku was finally able to leave the Mind Palace, he was sitting in a chair with his hands chained behind his back-we have quirk suppressant cuffs on-Yumio's voice was almost too quiet, Izuku could barely hear him-and that was terrifying.

"Aw, look who's awake."

Izuku immediately snapped his head over to see-

Shigaraki. Tenko. The ghost abomination from the USJ-Kurogiri. There were also a few others there-there was the marble villain, the girl that had attacked Uraraka and Tsu, a lizard-like villain, a guy in a full body suit, and a red-haired…female?

Izuku instantly tensed up-can't fight here, can't fight-

"Oh, he's scared-good, he should be," the body-suit villain said.

"Can I cut him up?" the girl asked excitedly. "I bet he'd look so cute covered in blood!"

"No," a voice said from a static-filled t.v.

Lucas.

Izuku barely heard Odin, but he still glared at the screen angrily.

"You were supposed to be dead-we already knew that wasn't the case, but it's not a pleasure," Izuku said. "Stay dead next time."

"Take that-" Shigaraki started.

"Tomura, calm down," Lucas said. "As for you, Izuku Midoriya, what a rude thing to say."

"You don't really have much to say about that," Izuku said.

Lucas laughed. "A sharp tongue, I see." There was a low murmur-Izuku couldn't quite hear what was being said. "We may talk later." The screen shut off.

The girl pouted. "Aw, but I wanna cut him up."

"Sensei said no," Shigaraki said. "So don't even start about it, and that's final."

The girl pouted. "But-"

"He's a child that Stain would not approve the slaughter of-leave him be, Toga," the lizard-villain said, and Izuku glared at him. "My name is Spinner, and I am the next Stain-"

"Oh, can it about Stain," Shigaraki said. "He wasn't so great. All he did was kill a few heroes-big deal. We have done much more, have been going after All Might himself." He paused, then looked at Izuku. "And isn't it odd that you aren't a fan of All Might?"

Izuku scowled. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"You were the main witness outside of the Todoroki family in taking down Endeavor," Shigaraki said. "And you don't like All Might. Not to mention, it's a little odd how you defended Stain at the mall-perhaps you aren't as heroic as everyone thinks."

Izuku blinked at him. Once. Twice.

He's serious. He's ACTUALLY serious.

A few more seconds of silence…

Then he burst out laughing.

Everyone jumped as Izuku just laughed and laughed, before his laughter died down and he looked at the villains in front of him.

"You think that I'd join you, that's why I'm here," Izuku said. "Holy f***, I thought I was going to be here for something with Odin or Darlina. I'm here because you think I'll be a villain?!" He laughed, then snapped serious, eyes looking up through his hair before he held his head high. "I'm a hero, and that will never change."

Shigaraki scowled. "Don't be so sure, hero. Everyone has their breaking point."

"And I'm sure you would know that well enough, but you can't reach mine," Izuku said. "It'll be hilarious to see you try, though-some entertainment while we wait for the heroes to show up."

Shigaraki scowled. "You still put your faith in the pillars of society when they couldn't even save you?"

"They're not the ones that decided to attack a bunch of first years that were in isolated groups-and, considering I'm the only one here, gotta give them some credit," Izuku said. "Especially since you guys are apparently threatening enough for All Might."

"Apparently?" Shigaraki snarled, his fingers twitching, and Izuku felt a bit of fear-

"Tomura Shigaraki, calm down," Kurogiri said.

Shigaraki was clearly still fuming, but he stayed silent for a minute while the blonde girl got up close to him with a knife-

"You were already told no, Toga," Kurogiri sighed.

"Aw," Toga pouted. "Just once?"

"No," Kurogiri said firmly as Shigaraki got up and left the room, but Izuku simply stared at the knife the girl-Toga-was holding, still too close for comfort-

"Put the knife away," Kurogiri said.

Toga pouted, but stuck the knife in her outfit before turning to Izuku with a big smile on her face.

"It's nice to meet you!" Toga said. "You fought with Stain-I'm sure he got to see you covered in blood, unfair-"

"Enough, Toga," Kurogiri sighed.

Toga pouted, but went and sat in one of the booths nearby.

I'm going to want to keep an eye on her.

Hitoshi sat in the hospital, just kind of staring at the ground, blinking and trying not to cry.

It had been an entire day already, and there was no word on where Izuku was.

Hitoshi hadn't gotten hurt more than some scrapes and bruises, but that was more from the actual training than the attack. There were students that were basically in a coma right now from the sleeping gas. Shoji had lost one of his arms-he would get it back, but it was still worrying.

And Izuku…

Hitoshi took a deep breath-

"Stop sulking."

Hitoshi looked up and glared at Katsuki as the exploding boy plopped down next to him.

"Whatever," Hitoshi grumbled, then paused. "How are you holding up?"

Katsuki leaned back in the chair, looking at the ceiling. "...we're gonna find him."

"How?" Hitoshi asked. "There's no leads, nothing-"

"It's Deku," Katsuki said. "Either we find him or he gets himself out."

"...Shigaraki would have killed him at the mall," Hitoshi said. "What if-"

"Don't," Katsuki said.

"But-" Hitoshi said.

Katsuki suddenly grabbed Hitoshi's shoulders and spun him to look him directly in the eye. "Don't. Even. Start. I've known Deku since we were in f*cking diapers. The heroes will find him. Or. He. Will. Bust. Him. Self. Out. No exceptions. No ifs or buts. That's just the way he f*cking is, and you should know that by now." He took a deep breath, and it looked like he was holding back tears. "He'll be back soon. He will."

Hitoshi's breath hitched in his throat, and he quickly looked away. "...yeah. He will."

"Are you two ok?!"

The two boys jumped and snapped their heads to see-

"Uncle Hisashi," Katsuki whispered.

Hisashi was immediately in front of the two, fussing over them. "Neither of you are hurt, are you?! Is Shoto around here, too? I know that your parents will be here soon, but I can't help but worry-no injuries?"

"U-Uncle Hisashi," Hitoshi whispered, tears in his eyes.

"There's a bit of news coverage already-UA is already planning on a press conference about it, from what I've heard, it's getting set up and they'll release more information soon-" Hisashi said.

"Izuku," Katsuki said. "He's…"

Hisashi blinked, then took a deep breath. "I…I know. But they're gonna find him."

"Or he'll bust himself out," Katsuki said.

Hisashi smiled softly as he started crying a little. "Yeah. Izuku and the Sides won't be there for long." With that, he reached out and hugged both of the boys as the two started crying as well.

.

Holy sh*t.

Touya stared at the t.v. screens as the news story ran…again. Every channel, every newspaper, everyone was talking about the student getting kidnapped.

And it was the same kid that helped take Endeavor down.

The paper still in Touya's back pocket burned, the promise of helping-the kid saved his family from that monster-there-all he had to do was walk to the police station and tell them, tell them where the League was hiding, where they could find the kid-paying him back for saving his family-

But Touya was a criminal now. He'd…he'd killed people with his fire. He'd stolen-

But that kid needed him. Maybe UA already knew this. Maybe they didn't. Maybe it would be pointless to do this. Maybe he could do something nice for the kid and make finding him faster-

Before Touya could talk himself out of it, he turned and power-walked to the nearest police station, stepping inside-

"Can I help you?"

Touya looked at the receptionist, took a deep breath-he had to do this-

He pulled out the slip of paper and slammed it onto the counter, gaining the attention of a few people nearby-

"I know where the League of Villains is hiding," Touya said, mind made up-he was going to do his best to help this kid, even if UA already knew what he was about to say.

Aizawa probably broke a few speeding laws as he drove down to the police station. Ok, not even probably. He definitely broke a few speeding laws, but could you blame him? One of his students was missing, the villains arrested at the forest camp weren't talking-one didn't even seem to actually know the location, which…wasn't something Aizawa wanted to think about-and all of a sudden, he gets a call from Detective Tsukauchi to say that someone had come into the station claiming to know where the League of Villains was hiding, and the detective was on his way to the guy right now, who was already being held in an interrogation room for questioning, and Aizawa needed to be there.

.

"Hello, my name is Detective Tsukauchi from the Musutafu Prefecture."

Touya nervously looked up at the man, then at the other guy in the room-that one was someone more familiar, he…he was a hero, underground, Touya'd never gotten caught or anything by the guy, but he had seen him.

This was getting more stressful by the second.

"H-Hi," Touya said.

Detective Tsukauchi held up the paper that Touya had put on the desk. "Can you tell me if you were telling the truth about this? That we can find the League of Villains at this location?"

"Yes, or at very least their recruiters-I haven't been there myself," Touya said.

"True," the detective said. "How did you get this information, and why?"

"I paid someone-an information broker," Touya said. "Giran."

"Why did you pay someone for this information?" Eraserhead asked as he began to take out his phone.

Touya gulped. "I, uh…"

"Before you continue, we should go through an actual interrogation-I more had to verify this tip first-thank you for giving us this information," Detective Tsukauchi said, then nodded at Eraserhead. "If you need to step out and call Nezu, I would recommend doing that first things first so the raid can be taken care of as fast as possible."

"Right," Eraserhead said, giving Touya a suspicious glance before stepping out of the room.

"Now, mind if you tell me your name?" Detective Tsukauchi asked. "As well as why you went and paid for this information."

"I usually go by Dabi," Touya said.

"...as for the reason you bought this information in the first place…?" the detective asked, seeming almost on edge-yeah, that's fair.

"...originally, I had planned on joining them, but I decided against doing so," Touya said-oh, there's the fear in the detective's eyes. Completely understandable.

"Why's that?" the detective asked, glancing at Touya's wrists, probably reminding himself that Touya didn't have cuffs on.

"I'm not going to attack you," Touya said.

"True," the detective said, seeming to relax a bit. "Why did you decide not to join the League?"

Touya sighed, looking at his hands. "Well…I wanted to join them because they wanted to take down All Might. I figured that after that, they would go after…well, Endeavor. He's out of the picture now, so I don't need to join them."

"Endeavor?" the detective asked, confused. "Why do you want to take down Endeavor?" He shrugged. "I mean, with everything horrible that's come up about him…did you already know?"

Touya snorted. "I know better than just about anyone."

"Elaborate, please," the detective said.

"I lived through it," Touya said, then sat up straighter. "I go by Dabi these days, but that isn't my real name. My real name…is Touya Todoroki."

.and this was the moment that Aizawa walked back into the room, I'll have you know….

When Hisashi's phone rang, Shoto had joined them, and the three boys were still silent, all of them jolting slightly as Hisashi looked at his phone, confused.

"It's…it's Aizawa," Hisashi said, answering the phone. "Hello?"

"We think we've found where he is."

Hisashi was almost immediately on his feet. "Where's-"

"I'm on my way to the hospital right now, where the students are-I'm assuming you're already there," Aizawa said.

"Yeah, I'm here with Hitoshi, Katsuki, and Shoto," Hisashi said, the three boys perking up and glancing between themselves, hearing a little bit of the conversation.

"Understood," Aizawa said, then paused. "Is Shoto's family there?"

"On the way," Hisashi said, then paused. "Any reason why Shoto's family specifically?"

"You'll see," Aizawa said, then hung up.

Hisashi looked at his phone, then at the three boys.

"What's going on?" Shoto asked.

"They…they found him," Hisashi said, slowly sitting back down. "He's…he's gonna be home soon-Aizawa's on the way here, he's…it's gonna be ok."

"I'll go let the extras know," Katsuki said, getting up and walking away.

"...I'll go with him," Hitoshi said, quickly joining Katsuki.

Shoto, meanwhile, stayed put and just looked up at Hisashi.

"Why do you think Aizawa was asking about my family?" Shoto asked.

"I don't know," Hisashi said. "But I think we'll find out soon." He paused. "And Aizawa's probably going to say when we're getting Izuku back."

"He'll be back soon," Shoto said.

"Yep," Hisashi said, then held up his arm. "Do you-"

Shoto was almost immediately burying himself in Hisashi's side, and Hisashi could feel his shirt starting to get damp.

Hisashi simply hugged the boy back as he silently cried.

Momo woke up slowly, the sounds gradually coming into focus until she opened her eyes, everything showing that she was in a hospital-

The attack.

Momo instantly shot up in her bed and looked around-she was the only one in the room-

"Hey, please calm down-you're ok."

Momo looked at the doorway, where Aizawa-sensei was standing, along with a man with black hair and scars, as well as the detective from the USJ.

"Just as we were passing by, huh," the detective said, then looked at Aizawa-sensei. "Do you want to catch up in a moment?"

"Yeah-you keep going," Aizawa-sensei said, fully stepping into the room and sitting down on the chair next to Momo's hospital bed as the other two continued. "Any pain, any injuries?"

"No, not really-is everyone alright?" Momo asked, confused as Aizawa-sensei looked…sad, at that, and that put her on edge.

"...injuries were minimal-some scrapes and bruises here," Aizawa-sensei said slowly. "Well, there was also a villain with a gas quirk-you've been out for 12 hours now, and others are still passed out, last I checked, but if you're waking up, they should be waking up soon, too."

"That's good," Momo said, but Aizawa-sensei just looked more…upset. "What…did something else happen?"

Aizawa-sensei took a deep breath, then sighed. "The League managed to…kidnap Midoriya."

Momo tensed up. "They-do you know where-what leads-"

"We have a lead," Aizawa-sensei said. "We're verifying the lead right now and planning a raid-"

Wait-

"I have something that can help," Momo blurted.

Aizawa-sensei paused. "What?"

"There was a nomu there-one of the Class B students helped me plant a tracker on it," Momo said.

"Can you show me the tracker?" Aizawa-sensei asked. "Do you have a sensor?"

Momo immediately made one and handed it to Aizawa-sensei, who looked at it and fiddled with it for a second, zooming out to find the tracker, then zooming back in-

"Kamino," Aizawa-sensei said. "Just like our lead-I can't say it's the exact same location, but it's a confirmed one-good job, that was really smart thinking."

Momo perked up at that. "Thank you…is Izuku going to be back soon?"

"We hope so," Aizawa-sensei said, then reached over and pushed a button. "A nurse will be here soon-I'd stay with you for longer, but I need to go."

"Ok-thank you," Momo said as Aizawa-sensei got up and left.

Shoto noticed the familiar-looking stranger before he noticed him.

The guy had black hair and was covered in burn scars-for all purposes, Shoto didn't know him, so why did he look so…familiar?

The detective noticed Shoto and Hisashi and walked over to the two, the stranger following, and he stared at Shoto, his eyes-

His eyes.

Shoto stared right back at the stranger-who was this guy?

"Midoriya, To…Shoto," the detective said.

Hisashi carefully stood up, Shoto staying sitting. "Hello, Detective Tsukauchi. Where's…"

"This is our informant, and…well, it's a long story," Detective Tsukauchi said, glancing at the stranger. "But, I guess…for starters, this is Dabi-but that's not actually his name." He laughed awkwardly. "Well, I guess this is a little strange, but…"

"My name is Touya Todoroki," the stranger said, and (not literally) everyone froze.

Ok, so maybe a little bit of ice appeared at Shoto's feet, but can you blame him!?

"T-Touya?" Shoto whispered, eyes wide-that's where he knew those eyes from, that was his oldest brother, the one that died years ago and he mostly knows through pictures-

The stranger-Touya-nodded, gently rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah…hi, Shoto, uh…long time no see?" He sighed. "Geez, what do you even say in these situations, this is so weird-"

"You're alive," Shoto said. "We…we thought you died."

"It was…really close," Touya said. "Way too close, and I just…couldn't go back."

"I get it-but…why are you back now?" Shoto asked.

Touya took a deep breath. "It's…it's a long story, but…I wanted to take down Endeavor. Like…for good. You know what I mean?"

Shoto nodded. "You…you wanted to kill him."

"Yeah, I did," Touya said. "I…I started…doing stuff, to get closer to my goal." He took a deep breath. "After this…I'm going to be going to jail for a while. Better not to tell you the details, but…I found out where the League of Villains is. I was gonna join them, but then that kid helped take Endeavor down, and…well, there was no point in that. But, when he got captured…well, I already had the information, might as well help him."

"...thank you," Shoto said. "But…you're going to jail for this."

"It's gonna be worth it-I mean, he helped take down Endeavor-more than I could do, even if he was just acting as a witness," Touya said. "I'm just paying him back for it."

Aizawa-sensei suddenly turned around the corner, glancing between Touya and Shoto. "...Tsukauchi, we have another location-Yaoyorozu managed to get a tracker on the nomu that was there, seems to also be in Kamino," Aizawa-sensei said.

"That's good news," Tsukauchi said, then looked at Hisashi. "We'll have your son home soon, I promise."

"Thank you," Hisashi said. "Thank you."

"Of course-Shoto, if you wouldn't mind, your family is on the way?" Tsukauchi asked.

Shoto nodded. "Mom and Fuyumi couldn't get away from their jobs, and Natsuo had some exams that the professors wouldn't let him miss, but they'll be here soon."

"Then we'll wait here with Touya to see your family before we officially arrest him-just don't tell everyone about this," Tsukauchi said as Aizawa-sensei gently guided the group away, leaving Hisashi where they had been.

.

"You can't be serious!"

"Deadly-we can't just sit here and do nothing!"

Shoto blinked and wiped away at the last of his tears as he stepped into the room where all of his (awake) classmates were to see…Hitoshi and Iida arguing, everyone else staring at the two in either shock…or Katsuki, who looked somewhere between serious and about to laugh, somehow.

"What's going on?" Shoto asked as he stepped in.

"Bakugou and Shinsou are talking of going after the Midoriyas-we cannot do that!" Iida said.

oh.

Shoto blinked, then looked at Katsuki and Hitoshi.

Katsuki looked him right in the eye. "You're either with me or against me, and you don't want to be against me."

"...we're looking at the location Yaoyorozu got?" Shoto asked.

"Yes," Momo said, holding up a tracker. "I put it on the nomu."

"You can't do this!" Iida said.

"...I can confirm that the League is in Kamino and know when the raid is going to be," Shoto said. "Perfect distraction."

"Shoto, NO," Iida said. "Haven't you forgotten-"

"Haven't you learned by now?" Shoto asked. "If Izuku needs my help, I'm going to be there doing what I can. So? Are you with us or against us?"

Iida just stared at him in shock while Shoto looked at everyone else. "Who's in?"

Everyone exchanged looks.

"I'm in," Uraraka said.

"I'm in, too!" Kirishima said. "So manly!"

"We can't risk getting in trouble," Jirou said, glancing around, then she shrugged. "I'm not gonna say anything about it or anything, but I won't be joining you."

"Fine by me-anyone else?" Katsuki said.

"...I suppose I should go to keep you out of trouble," Iida said.

"Then let's get this planned out," Katsuki said.

I know that that was different than canon, but Iida still feels like he owes Izuku from the Stain incident, so…

"Should…should we follow them?" Kai asked, glancing at Eimi before glancing around the room at the students planning their rescue mission.

"Oh, definitely-if only to make sure they don't get themselves killed-hopefully, when we get closer to Izuku, we can hear him and turn visible-get the kids out of the way when we need to," Eimi said.

"Right," Kai said. "But…the pros will be there as well-perhaps we follow one of them into the fray? Or go to the location in advance?"

"Hmm…perhaps," Eimi said. "I'd say one of us doing each, but we should stick together-we don't have any way to contact each other if we get separated, what with the telepathic connection thing not really working."

"Suppressors, perhaps?" Kai asked.

Eimi shuddered. "I just wish we could talk to the kid and know he's safe, at least." She scoffed slightly, scratching her neck slightly. "Damn, we've only been connected to him for a few hours and I'm already getting worried about him."

"Well, he's the only reason we're able to be visible at all…when we can be," Kai said. "And we'll be connected to him for the foreseeable future, so we at least need to care a little bit."

"True," Eimi said.

.….

Izuku was continuously getting more and more stressed as time passed.

He could barely feel his connection to any of his Sides, and he had no connection to Eimi and Kai at all-were they alright? He could really use that Calm and Confidence right about now.

Especially with how quiet the bar was right now.

The only person there at the moment was Kurogiri…well, if you could call him a person, the quirk suppressors didn't change how Izuku saw the nomu. Everyone else had left to go to sleep, tired after everything. Izuku felt tired, too, but he also felt too anxious, nervous, afraid to sleep. Once this was over…

If this was ever over-

No. No. The heroes would find him. Soon, he would be back home, maybe asking Dad to let him sleep in his bed for a little while to ward off nightmares, or maybe ask if Kacchan, Toshi, and Shoto can stay over for a bit-they can help him-

They weren't able to at the camp-

Stop. Stop. Stop it-

"Are you hungry at all?"

Izuku stopped and looked at Kurogiri. "Huh?"

"We have had you here for over a full day, not to mention that you were fighting us before you were captured," Kurogiri said. "Any particular food you would like?"

"...what?" Izuku asked.

"What food would you like?" Kurogiri asked.

"Uh…" Izuku trailed off, about to say no, but his stomach growled slightly-yeah, he was hungry… "I'm, uh…fine with anything?"

Kurogiri hummed, then set about preparing food.

"Should you even be…I'm a hostage?" Izuku said.

"Would heroes not feed a hostage?" Kurogiri asked.

"I mean, we…we do," Izuku said, thinking about prisoners and such-they're fed. "But you're…"

"Not heartless," Kurogiri said. "Tomura Shigaraki would not think to feed you, but you'll be staying here for the foreseeable future-it would be best not to let you starve."

"Oh, uh…thank you," Izuku said.

"May I ask you a few questions while I'm cooking?" Kurogiri asked.

"I can't answer anything about UA secrets," Izuku said. "I refuse."

"Very well," Kurogiri said. "But I'm not particularly interested in that topic-All for One will be the one asking those sorts of questions."

"...then what do you want to ask?" Izuku said.

"Tell me, how do I appear to you?" Kurogiri asked.

…that was not what Izuku expected him to ask.

"Uh…" Izuku trailed off, then decided that it couldn't hurt to answer. "Purple-ish, I guess, but…you're made of ghosts-I don't know how many, just…too many. All shaped into…well, you."

"I see," Kurogiri said. "Heavily condensed? Do the ghosts spread out as I do?"

"Yes," Izuku said, thinking back to the USJ. "There…there were gaps between the ghosts with purple-I was…I wasn't focused on what I could see between the ghosts."

"I see," Kurogiri said.

"...do you know anything about any of the ghosts?" Izuku asked.

"No," Kurogiri said. "I was unaware that any others were ever around."

"Oh," Izuku said.

The two sat in silence for a minute before Kurogiri finished cooking and set the plate on the bar counter before walking over to Izuku and, to his surprise, unlocked the cuffs that were covering his entire hands, leaving arm bands that-if the fact that Izuku still couldn't hear the Sides that well was anything to go by-were still keeping his quirk suppressed.

"You're…what are you doing?" Izuku asked.

"It would be hard for you to eat wearing those, and I doubt either of us would be comfortable if I fed you," Kurogiri said, then gestured to the plate. "Sit and eat."

Izuku hesitated, but he walked over and sat on the bar stool, grabbing the chopsticks Kurogiri set out and eating.

"So…anything you can tell me about the nomu?" Izuku asked. "I don't get how so many ghosts can be stuck in one body like that."

"Well, I suppose no harm in telling you-I would hope that the heroes have at least some idea of what the nomu are," Kurogiri said as he began to polish a glass. "We are made from many, many others, stitched together and given the quirks of many."

"The nomu from the USJ had at least three quirks…how many do you have?" Izuku asked. "Teleportation and…?"

"Just the teleportation, but it came from multiple other quirks-what those quirks once were, I do not know," Kurogiri said.

"Oh," Izuku said. "Do…do you remember anything from before you were a nomu?"

Kurogiri paused, staring at the wall silently.

"I'm gonna guess no," Izuku said after a minute, ducking his head slightly. "Sorry, I probably shouldn't have-"

"There were two boys on a rooftop with me," Kurogiri said distantly, almost like he hadn't heard Izuku at all. "We were talking about…something. I couldn't tell you what, but another person-a girl-came up to talk to us. About…what…?"

"That's enough, Kurogiri."

Izuku glared at the screen, but Kurogiri didn't even move, just continuing to stare at the wall, lost in thought.

"Finish your food quickly," All for One snapped. "I will be sending someone to lock you back up in just a moment." With that, the screen went silent.

…well, then. Izuku began to eat as fast as he could without choking.

I had trouble writing Kurogiri….

Aizawa resisted the urge to snap at the reporters as the press conference started.

The only good thing coming out of this was the raid-that, of course, he couldn't be part of because, instead, here he was, doing one of the things he hates the most.

"On behalf of UA, I apologize to the families of the students affected by this latest attack. As UA teachers, we swore to protect the children as they learned to be heroes in a safe environment. We have failed to do so," Aizawa said, bowing before he sat down again.

"We will be accepting a few questions now," Nezu said.

"What security measures is UA taking to ensure this never happens again? This is the second attack on UA this year!"

"We are working on this and are currently in a testing phase that we plan on having done by the time that school begins again," Nezu said.

"According to reports, the students were given permission to fight with their quirks despite being illegal-what trouble will-"

"The students will be in no trouble for using their quirks," Aizawa said immediately. "I gave them the permission to defend themselves as necessary while they were in a position that they were scattered around and I was unable to reach all of them fast enough with an unknown amount of villains."

"Quirk usage is still illegal-" the reporter started.

"After the USJ incident, a particular student came to me with an idea that I have already implemented as a temporary safety measure while UA searched for a more permanent one," Nezu cut in-oh, Aizawa knew what he was talking about, but it wasn't the USJ-it was the…Stain incident. "If a student is backed into a situation where they are required to fight or die during a UA event where backup is unavailable, then the students in question are given temporary ability to fight and protect themselves until backup is available. Aizawa-sensei recognized that this was one such situation and enacted it in order to save as many students as possible." (I know this isn't actually a thing, but Odin got really worried about the class and talked to Nezu about it.)

"And yet one of the students was still kidnapped-Izuku Midoriya," a reporter said. "The same student that was present to help take down Endeavor-is it possible that the League is after him because they believe that he will want to go after more heroes?"

"If that's their plan, they'll be heavily disappointed," Aizawa said. "Midoriya is set on being a hero, and the reason he assisted with Endeavor was because of his quirk."

"We have some questions about that quirk of his-" a reporter said.

"No questions about Midoriya's quirk will be answered at this point in time," Nezu said. "Any other questions?

.I'm just going to let you know that I compiled that information from fanfictions with my own twist because I couldn't find the exact stuff…..NOW I HOPE YOU'RE HOLDING ONTO YOUR SOCKS BECAUSE HERE WE GO-

"They're right, you know," Izuku said, sitting in the chair, the quirk suppressors still on, but his hands not fully cuffed like they had been. Izuku still couldn't fully hear the Sides, but he stood a chance-Kurogiri was back to normal, and the other members were in the room, which meant Izuku probably wasn't escaping, but he still held hope. It was all that he had right now. "I'm not going to join you-you'd best let me go now."

Shigaraki scowled, glaring right at Izuku, who kept eye contact, hoping that the fear in his eyes didn't show-

"Spinner," All for One suddenly said, causing everyone to jolt and look at the screen. "Remove those cuffs."

…what?

"Uh…what?" Spinner said.

"With quirk suppressors, he can't hear his ghosts-I wonder if they'd be singing a different tune than he is," All for One said.

Spinner hesitated, but moved forward and undid the cuffs-

"F*CK YOU, LUCAS!" Odin immediately screamed, and everyone jumped, Izuku included as all of the Sides began to speak up in his head as well, some screaming in relief, others screaming at Lucas, just screaming, screaming, screaming-

Odin's wings burst out of Izuku's back as Hirah's horns came out of his head, and he took a step back as he glared at everyone in the room.

"You've got another thing coming if you think that we're gonna join you," all the Sides said at once, and almost immediately, all of the villains in the room were getting ready to fight-

There was suddenly a knock on the door. "Kamino Pizza Delivery!"

"...what the heck?" Shigaraki said-

All Might suddenly burst through the wall-

I NEVER thought I'd say that I'm relieved to see All Might, yet here we are.

Shigaraki recoiled, glancing around as more heroes burst through both the hole in the wall and the door to quickly restrain everyone, Kurogiri not really making any moves to teleport everyone away before Kamui Woods managed to restrain him.

"Young Midoriya, are you alright?" All Might asked, looking at the boy.

Izuku immediately relaxed slightly, the wings and horns disappearing as he gave him a small smile. "Yeah. Thank you."

"Kurogiri, get the nomu!" Shigaraki snapped, struggling to get his hands on Kamui Woods.

"We've already captured the Nomu factory-your time here is over," All Might said, taking a step forward-

..with our rescue team….

Shoto glanced around as the team walked through Kamino, following Momo's tracker for a little while before they began to spy on an abandoned-looking warehouse.

"That's where the nomu is," Momo said, looking at the warehouse.

Shoto pulled up the other location on his phone. "This isn't the same as the other location-I hope Izuku's safe…"

"Of course he is-it's Deku," Katsuki said. "He's gonna be perfectly fine-"

"Of course he's fine."

The entire group jumped and turned to see two people suddenly standing there.

Immediately, the group was on edge and ready to fight.

"Wait, you're-" Katsuki said, starting to relax.

"Wait, you can…see us?" the one on the left-a guy with turquoise, the other a girl with magenta, both wearing…familiar and otherwise identical costumes-said.

"What does that…mean…" Kirishima trailed off.

"...you two are Izuku's Sides, aren't you?" Iida asked, remembering having heard Aizawa-sensei mention that Izuku had two new ones.

"That's us!" the guy said. "I'm Kai, and this is Eimi. Long story-"

"Where's Izuku?" Shoto asked.

"Uh…not here right now-oh, one sec," Eimi said, then, in Odin's voice, continued. "What are you guys doing right now?"

"Odin!" Katsuki said. "Where's Deku?"

"Where's-you shouldn't be in Kamino right now!" Odin scolded. "It's about to become a war zone!"

"It's about to become a what?!" the group exclaimed.

"Keep your voices down-ugh, I'll explain later, but my brother is nearby-" Odin started.

"You have a brother?!" Katsuki snapped. "When were you going to tell us that-aren't you-"

"I'll tell you later-we forgot we didn't tell you, but this isn't the time or the place-you have to get out of here-" Odin started.

"Where. Is. Izuku?" Shoto asked sternly. "If this is about to get bad, we're getting him out of here first."

"He's gonna be alright-but you have to leave now," Odin said. "Eimi, Kai, you two make sure they get out of here, got it?"

"Right," Kai said.

"I'm not leaving," Hitoshi said.

"We're gonna get Izuku out-how do you think he's going to react when he finds out you're here?" Odin asked. "Because he's already to safety-oh God d*mnit. LEAVE!"

"Let's get going," Kai said.

"But-"

"Now," Kai said-

Then, suddenly-

back to our raid team…

While the heroes were silent celebrating their victory and such, a black liquid appeared out of thin air, a bunch of Nomu stepping out-

Izuku gasped, stepping back slightly as his eyes darted around to stare-THIS IS BAD, THIS IS BAD, DANGER, DANGER-

"Don't let the villains go!" All Might said.

Izuku suddenly started to cough, and a few of the heroes turned to see the same black liquid fall out of Izuku's mouth-that's wrong, that's wrong-

"Young Midoriya!" All Might said as Izuku disappeared, the rest of the villains-besides Kurogiri-doing the same.

are you having fun? Because I'm suffering and trying not to describe everything in detail, just what's changed….

"We have to leave," Kai said as the warehouse exploded, a man in a vest appearing to be the main culprit as Best Jeanist and Mountain Lady fought against him, and that's just what the group could see.

"What is that guy?" Kirishima asked as they hid behind a destroyed wall.

"We need to go," Eimi said. "You shouldn't be here-this is getting dangerous-"

Suddenly, before the guy in the suit, Izuku and the League appeared.

"Izuku-didn't you say he was safe?!" Hitoshi hissed.

"He was-we're working on it!" Odin said through Eimi. "But we can't focus on you guys as well! Please!"

"We'll leave," Iida said.

"But-" Shoto started.

"I know you don't want to hear this, but you'll just get in the way right now-you can't use your quirks without getting arrested, and we need quirks against that guy-I promise I'll tell you everything later, but right now, I don't want to have to see your ghosts depart your bodies," Odin said.

Everyone was immediately silent.

"Yeah, get the f*** out of here," Odin hissed.

The group nodded and began to sneak out.

.I'm not putting them through the big-show rescue mission, sorry, but this is about to get WEIRD-I did NOT intend to write a fight scene, like, at ALL-

Izuku coughed as he sat up-

Lucas-no, Jinichiro, he's a villain, he's a villain-but he's my brother-

All for One stood there as the League of Villains coughed and began to stand up.

"I hate that-why couldn't Kurogiri get us here?"

"He's incapacitated at the moment," All for One said as Izuku carefully stood up and took a few steps back-

"You aren't going anywhere," All for One said, glaring at Izuku and sending out a quirk that immobilized him-

We have to leave, we have to leave, we have to LEAVE-

"I would recognize my sister's quirk anywhere-and, at first, I found it strange that I saw it in two different people," All for One said, taking a step towards Izuku-still can't move, we need to use Disconnect, Erasure, SOMETHING. "It wasn't until you revealed that quirk of yours during Endeavor's trial that I finally understood what was happening." He got closer-we have to move-

"Sensei?" Shigaraki said, looking at something-I NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE GLAD TO SEE ALL MIGHT, THIS IS THE STRANGEST NIGHT OF MY AFTERLIFE-

"How about you use that quirk of yours to let me speak to my sister-" All for One said…

…as All Might dropped in and charged at All for One.

However, Izuku couldn't focus on the fight between the Number One Hero and his villain equivalent. Because Shigaraki and the League was reaching towards him-

SO, we've never actually been told not to use our quirk, and I think that All Might doesn't count as backup right now to help us with the rest of the League, so…

Izuku jumped back as Shigaraki reached forward to touch him-he's trying to touch us, I'm counting that as trying to kill us, like HELL we aren't fighting back-

A knife came out from the side, and Izuku quickly threw up a shield and dodged out of Shigaraki's way, then jumped up and avoided Spinner's swords, using them to springboard himself up and landing on Spinner's head, causing the lizard man to yelp as the weight of the teenager pushed him down to the ground-

Twice split into a few parts of himself-is his quirk like Ectoplasm's, interesting, we don't need more villains right now-Erasure will only take it out for a minute, but I don't wanna have to use-WELL, IT DOESN'T MATTER RIGHT NOW-Disconnect-

Izuku reached out and yanked the strings hard, causing the extra clones to disappear and Twice to yelp and stumble-the strings didn't snap, though, I tugged hard enough for them to, why's he still-we don't have time to dwell on that right now, behind you-

Izuku was tugged behind him by Magne's quirk, but he was quick to turn, land and pivot on his feet, and charge at Magne, clearly surprising her as-Hardening, Kirishima's quirk, allows the user to harden their skin and manipulate it to a degree-he copied Kirishima's quirk, added in Odin's strength, and slammed his head into Magne's stomach, causing her to go flying as her quirk cut off, so Izuku spun around and round-house kicked Toga as she came at him-

SHIELD!

Izuku threw up another shield just in time for it to shrink down into a marble-we need to take out Mr. Compress or he's going to take us out instead, and we aren't getting kidnapped again-

Izuku jumped back as Shigaraki reached for him, and, as the League began to surround him and lunge for him, he burst out Odin's wings and shot upward out of their reach-

Izuku then glanced over at All for One and All Might-

Warp portals suddenly appeared near the League, and Izuku tensed up, glancing around-Kurogiri had been captured, what was going on-

"Leave," All for One said, and the League disappeared through the portals.

Izuku sighed in relief as the League disappeared, and he quickly fell down to the ground, letting his wings disappear just in time for another shock wave through the air-if Izuku had been flying…he shuddered to think of how far he would have gone flying.

Getting out of here by flying wasn't an option for now-he had to keep himself safe-

"I will be joining my prodigy in just a moment here-but first, I wonder what would happen if the so-called Symbol of Peace were to die on live television?"

Izuku froze at that and turned towards the fight-All Might didn't look so good, and he threw another punch-

Why is he pulling punches?! He can hit harder than that-

Oh.

OH.

Izuku narrowed in on a woman stuck in the rubble-if All Might were to throw a hard enough punch, that rubble would crumble. All for One threw another hard punch at All Might, and All Might redirected the hit, taking it when, instead, it would have crushed that woman.

We can't get close enough to help her, but if All Might isn't at his best…

He's going to lose.

Now, Izuku hadn't liked All Might in years. In fact, he's hated him for a long time now.

But…but when he was four years old, he still watched that same All Might video over and over and over again. It gave him hope. All Might was still the Symbol of Peace-he…he couldn't die here.

I…I agree. Society-wise, he's too important-especially right after we lost the Number Two, in rank and…well, personality.

So? There aren't any heroes close enough to help-what can we do?

Well, we can't use quirks, that's for sure, since we aren't on an official internship like with Stain-

All for One threw a punch at All Might, sending him flying away from the woman under the rubble-

Well, technically we have the upper body strength to save her if we can get close enough.

Thankfully-if there was anything to be thankful for in this situation-All for One stepped away from the rubble, just enough for Izuku to dash over and, activating Odin's quirk just slightly, he threw the rubble off, spontaneously deciding to chuck it at All for One, who jolted and slowly, ever so slowly, turned to glare at Izuku-

All Might went in for the punch, and All for One turned and caught it, taking his attention off Izuku long enough for him to kneel next to the woman.

"Are you alright?" Izuku asked quietly. "What injuries do you have?"

"M-My leg," the woman hissed in pain.

"Alright, if you'll just give me a sec-I have a healing quirk," Izuku said, kneeling down next to the woman's leg. "Once you're healed, we've gotta get out of here, ok?"

"O-Ok," the woman said as Izuku took a deep breath and began to sing.

(you already know the song, two points if you know. :)

The woman gave him a surprised look, then slowly stood on her previously broken leg.

"Let's get-" Izuku started, but the woman just stared over at All Might. Izuku turned to look two-

All for One was standing over All Might, a quirk that was a beam of light shaped into a sword ready to stab down into All Might-

WE CAN'T LET ALL FOR ONE WIN!

Izuku immediately turned on Disconnect-he was too far away, he had to-

There were a lot of strings, but only one looked…natural, while a few different ones were glowing.

He must break the strings and reconnect them to himself.

WELL, LOOKS LIKE HE WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THAT ANYMORE!

Wait, holy sh*t-

Izuku reached out and, hoping that he was right, grabbed onto the natural one and the glowing ones, pulling as hard as he possibly could, hoping that-

The light sword disappeared as the glowing strings snapped-they felt…weaker than it should have been, maybe because it's not actually his own and artificially attached, so the link is weaker? I hate to say it, but Dave's quirk is surprisingly OP-while All for One's actual string stayed intact.

The two paused, then All for One turned and just stared at Izuku-

"You might wanna run," Izuku told the woman, who quickly nodded and turned and bolted-

All for One was suddenly right there, and Izuku barely had enough time to put up a shield-

Don't let him touch you, I really don't want to see what would happen if he takes your quirk.

Right. Direct skin? Or would some kind of armor work to block him out?

Do you really wanna try to move around in armor? It works through normal clothes, I'm not sure about metal-I never asked.

That's fair. So, we need long distance if possible-

All for One brought out a large weapon from his quirk and smashed through Izuku's shield, and Izuku was quick to jump back, glancing over and nearly sighing in relief as All Might tackled All for One away from Izuku-

I'd better get out of here-

"Young Midoriya!" All Might said-oh, that was smoke starting to come off him, that's not good. "I can worry about the paperwork later, but I don't think I'll win alone, so I am extending permission to assist!"

…well, that covers that.

"Gotcha-I'd better not get in trouble for this," Izuku said, then pivoted and rushed at All for One, deciding to create a large shield with spikes and pull a Naofumi/Maple (three points for each of the references you get there :) and just body slam as hard as he could into the villain.

All for One barely even flinched as he picked up the shield, and Izuku made it disappear as All Might grappled All for One and slammed him into the ground, the villain quickly getting up and punching right at All Might's injured side, his hands growing into claws to tear into his side-

Izuku turned on Disconnect again-we should keep it on and snap as many strings as possible-he can't fight forever if he doesn't have any quirks to do so-focus on Disconnect and Attraction as best as possible-

Izuku quickly turned on Mandalay's quirk and sent to All Might, you try to fight him as much as possible-I'll focus on erasing his quirks.

All Might didn't react-maybe he recognized that Izuku had used Mandalay's quirk? Instead, he just started throwing as hard of punches at All for One as possible, throwing harder as-Disconnect and Attraction-Izuku pulled at the string with the claw quirk, snapping it and causing All for One to stumble back and turn towards Izuku, moving to catch a punch from All Might and move towards Izuku-

All Might caused All for One to stumble as another string began to light up-

Izuku snapped that one before it could activate.

Should we snap all of them so he can't use them?

Maybe, but at the same time, what happens to the strings we snap? Are there people out there that are still alive without their quirks?

Are the quirks going back to them when we snap the strings? Or is there just no choice anymore for their quirks to return?

Izuku brushed all of the murmur aside as he snapped another string, then jumped out of the way as All for One lunged at him, activating-Nana Shimura's quirk, Float, allowing the person to levitate and suspend themselves mid-air-

-better than wings right now, less air to catch-

Izuku jumped into the air using Float to keep out of All for One's reach, pulling at a few strings and snapping them as All for One went to follow him-

We have to end this NOW-All Might is completely out of steam.

Izuku glanced at All Might, and he froze mid-air.

All Might was panting as his form…breathed with him. Breathing in, his muscles grew, breathing out, they shrank.

That's definitely not good.

And the cameras are still rolling-there are news copters in the sky-even if we win fast, unless we get rid of those copters…

which won't be happening any time soon-

DO YOU THINK WE HAVE THE TIME TO GO OVER THIS, WE HAVE TO BEAT THE VILLAIN WHILE WE STILL CAN, GUYS!

Yeah, we can panic later, fight now!

As long as we can climb into bed with Dad once this is over-think he'll let us.

I SURE HOPE SO-

All for One looked at All Might, then he began to laugh, taking a few steps towards the hero, who had stopped, fully in his skinny form.

"You can't win!" All for One said-

Izuku snapped another string before the villain could activate whatever quirk he was about to, and the villain glared at Izuku.

"Perhaps I should have kept Tomura here to take care of you," All for One said as Izuku landed on the ground, then turned to rush at him again-

"Look out!" All Might said, his voice no longer booming-he really wasn't doing alright, this was bad-where was more backup, more heroes to help take this guy-

Izuku threw up a shield in the nick of time, glaring at All for One through it as the villain prepared another quirk-

Snap.

"How many of my quirks are you going to cancel out?" All for One asked, throwing another punch as All Might shakingly staggered upright a little better-he was in no condition to fight, there had to be an ambulance on the way to get him, is he going to die here, he can't-he might have to retire, but dying here won't be good, society still needs him alive-

"As many as it takes," Odin spat out, causing All for One to pause and stare in shock.

"Sister," All for One said. "How many years has it been since we've spoken?"

Izuku went to shove the villain away from him, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw All Might get ready for a punch, his right arm inflating with muscles for one more hit-

We need to pull as many strings as we can-we have to get rid of his immortality-we might stand a chance if he can die-

But-

Odin's right. We won't be the ones to kill him, but if he lives…

Odin, distract him.

"Not enough-I can't believe what you've become," Odin said as Izuku began to tug and snap the strings-

"What are you hoping to accomplish?" All for One asked, starting to activate another quirk-

Keep him in place-we can't jump back, All Might's really struggling to even gather up the power he needs-we can't let him miss the shot.

Almost…

Almost…

NOW!

"You used to be a good person-and, yes, maybe I've been more willing to overlook stuff because you're my brother," Odin said as more strings snapped, snapped, snapped. "But it ends now!"

All Might reared back to punch the villain, now right behind him-

Izuku quickly started to activate Float-

His copy of Attraction started to slip and couldn't keep tugging at the strings-

WINGS! WE CAN'T AFFORD NOT TO KEEP SNAPPING STRINGS!

Izuku immediately darted out his wings and shot upward as fast as he could, grabbing as many strings at once that he possibly could and yanking, snapping dozens of strings at once-

"UNITED! STATES! OF! SMASH!"

WINGS WERE A BAD IDEA-

Izuku went flying, the resulting blasts of wind catching on his wings, sending him flying as he reached out and grabbed even more strings, the sheer force that sent him flying snapping the strings in an instant-

Izuku crashed into a building-how far away from the fight was it?-and winced as he felt some of his bones snap in his legs, arms, ribs, wings, before he fell to the ground in a heap and held back a scream-

"Hey!"

Izuku glanced to the side to see Present Mic and Midnight running up to him, quickly kneeling down next to him.

"You ok, listener?" Present Mic asked, looking at Midnight. "We need to adjust him to a better position-do you know what's broken?"

"Legs, arms, ribs-my wings took the worst of the hit, surprised my back didn't break," Izuku mumbled.

"Ok," Present Mic said as he and Midnight arranged him to a more comfortable position.

"Here-I can sedate you so you don't feel the pain-" Midnight started, holding her hand up near Izuku's face.

"N-No!" Izuku said. "Please-please don't."

"Kiddo," Midnight said quietly.

"Please-not yet, want-want my dad, I want my dad, I-" Izuku started as he started crying.

"You'll see him soon, I promise, but you might need to go into surgery first-I can make you sleep, when you wake up, you'll have your dad, ok?" Midnight said. "You're going to be ok, I promise."

Izuku looked back and forth between the two as the sound of an ambulance came closer.

"Nem," Present Mic said firmly-it wasn't a tone that Izuku-me, neither-was very familiar with.

Midnight took a deep breath, then sighed. "You're going to be ok, kid." With that, she released some mist-

Izuku struggled to stay awake-don't wanna sleep yet, need to stay away, I just-

-I just want…dad…

With that, he popped into the Mind Palace.

:)...

Hmm.

The air seemed to hum as Tomoko's eyes shot open and she looked around-what was that?

"Hey, stay calm-medic!"

Tomoko looked at Shino, relaxing slightly as the team leader waved down one of the paramedics nearby.

"Hey, are you alright-wait, wrong question, of course you aren't-do you remember what happened?" Shino asked.

"I…there was a villain…the-the students!" Tomoko said, reaching for her quirk-she had to find all the students, she had to-

Why wasn't her quirk activating right away-

"They're safe, I promise-" Shino said.

"Where's-" Tomoko said.

Suddenly, something inside of her clicked, and her quirk activated-had to find-

Tomoko was almost immediately standing up-there was a student nearby-no, there were multiple students nearby, why were they-

"Calm down-we'll explain more in a moment, but we have to check you over, ok?"

Tomoko paused, looking at the paramedic-

"Listen to him, ok?" Shino said. "Everything's ok."

Tomoko hesitated, then relaxed and let the paramedic check her over.

had to tie off that loose end for my own peace of mind, but here's what happened when Izuku snapped the strings…..

Hisashi paced in the hospital waiting room.

He'd immediately called Aikiko, Rei, Masaru, and Mitsuki once he'd gotten the call for what hospital Izuku was in, all three saying that their sons had gone to stay with a different friend and weren't responding yet-Hisashi could stress about that later, his son wasn't alright just yet, was he going to get in trouble for helping with the fight? For helping…

…All Might.

And that was a PR-Nightmare all on its own, wasn't it? The hero had been rushed into surgery immediately, but it was clear that he wasn't going to be fighting…maybe ever again.

At least he…at least that villain…Odin's brother…is gone. For good.

And wasn't that another terrifying thought? The impact of the punch had actually killed the villain this time-the police had been quick to release a statement that the villain was dead, pronounced so on site, for good this time, and his body would be cremated-

Done in by the very punch that had sent Izuku flying, landing him in surgery for hours with no updates-

"Mr. Midoriya, any updates?"

Hisashi stopped pacing for just a few seconds to see Aizawa-sensei, with Nezu perched on his shoulder.

Hisashi shook his head and began to pace again. "Nothing. Nothing! And Aikiko, Rei, and the Bakugous haven't heard from their sons, either-"

"So that's Bakugou, Shoto, and…" Aizawa-sensei asked, taking out his phone, Nezu doing the same.

"Hitoshi-Shinsou," Hisashi said. "Do you know where they are?"

"They'd better answer their phones," Aizawa-sensei said.

"After this incident, we will be adding trackers to all of the students' phones as an added precaution and safety measure," Nezu added.

Hisashi stopped pacing again and glared at him. "Is that it? Is that the safety measure you were talking about during the press conference? Just a tracker?"

"We will be implementing this one immediately, but the full safety measure is much safer, I assure you," Nezu said. "Perhaps, though, we could discuss it somewhere more private? I would like for Izuku and his Sides to know as well."

Hisashi's fists clenched-

"Midoriya?"

Hisashi was almost immediately across the room where the person who had called was standing. "Yes?! Is my son-"

"Out of surgery and being brought to a hospital room-he had multiple broken bones, but thankfully, he will be making a full recovery in a week or two," the nurse said, gesturing for him to follow. Nezu and Aizawa-sensei did as well, and the nurse simply nodded at the two before looking at Hisashi. "Recovery Girl has already been around, so, unless we run into complications, he should be able to go home by tomorrow morning-he should be waking up soon, and I'm sure you'd like to be there when he does."

"Yes," Hisashi said.

The nurse smiled as they stopped at a room, and she gestured inside. "Please call someone when he wakes up." With that, she walked away-

Hisashi immediately stepped into the room and sat down next to his son, gently grabbing his hand to assure himself that he really was there-

"You had been saying?" Hisashi asked, looking at the two.

"Right," Aizawa-sensei said as he sat down, pulling up another chair for Nezu as well.

"Firstly, we deeply apologize for losing your son," Nezu said. "We had the training camp isolated in hopes that the League of Villains wouldn't attack, especially with Shigaraki's conversation with Izuku at the mall, but it hindered us instead where the students were put in a position where no backup was readily available."

"We still don't know how they found the training camp, but we're looking into it," Aizawa-sensei said. "We expect them to lay low with their leader dead, but that doesn't mean there isn't the potential of them surfacing again. As a result, UA will be implementing a dorm system to keep the students on campus alongside the teachers-we will keep the students safe on campus and speed along the process of getting the students official provisional licenses so they can defend themselves better."

"That said…we also understand if you'd rather not," Nezu said. "You won't see your son as often, but he'll be safe."

Hisashi paused, looking at his son. "...what happens if I don't let him stay at the dorms?"

"We'll be requiring it for the students, so pulling him out of UA would be your other option-we would be able to immediately transfer him to another hero school, but I would not recommend it, as the League is still out there," Nezu said. "Once we have captured the League, the dorms won't be required anymore, and while they are in place, students will be able to go home during the weekends with the supervision of a hero or an increase of hero patrols in the area as a precaution."

"...can I think about it?" Hisashi asked.

"Of course," Nezu said. "Firstly, you'll want to focus on your son's recovery."

Hisashi nodded.

..

Izuku's eyes snapped open the moment he was able to, darting to sit up-

"Hey, hey, you're ok."

Izuku was quick to wrap his arms around his dad-it's Dad, it's Dad, we're ok-

Hisashi was quick to hug Izuku tightly against him. "I'm here."

Here was the original plan of the chapter! The fight starts, Izuku immediately gets blasted back into a wall and stays out of it! But then it didn't feel right to me! So, instead, I had this idea of a passing-the-torch where All for One nearly defeated All Might and was standing over him, about to deal the final blow, but Izuku took over, and while the people lost All Might, they gained hope for this up-and-coming generation of heroes to smooth over losing their top two within a few weeks of each other! AND THEN THIS HAPPENED. I blame college finals week.

Whelp, hope you liked this! Again, I updated Chapter 5 because I didn't want to continue my original plot point of forcing Odin's memories to be changed drastically to paint her brother as a good guy…yeah. I left Shigaraki being around twenty years older because I've referenced it elsewhere, but don't worry, I still have a plan for that and the lasting impact, but I still have a ways to go before I can get to that point.
