It's important to me that you know that I cackled when publishing the last chapter. Like, full on, my mom was concerned. But that's not gonna stop me now! I've had this scene planned out since I first started writing Oboro, and it's stayed pretty much the same since! The rest of this chapter just…happened.

:)

It felt like forever while Izuku and his teachers went through security at Tartarus, but at the same time, it didn't feel like long enough before Izuku and Brazen were standing side-by-side, looking through a window at a detained Kurogiri…Oboro's body.

"Since Oboro Shirakumo is registered as one of your ghosts, we immediately made contact with UA," the security guard was saying, but none of them were entirely paying attention. "I don't know if there's much you can do in this situation, but…perhaps you can do something?"

"I…I felt some kind of pull to him during the USJ, but I…I didn't know why," Brazen said quietly, taking a step forward.

Yumio, any ideas?

I'm not entirely sure what to do here-Darlina and I are searching the Mind Palace library, but we aren't finding anything about bringing someone back from the dead.

But he's not completely dead, and he's still…

"Oboro's still in there somewhere," Izuku said, thinking back to when he'd gotten kidnapped, then he stepped into the room, Brazen right next to him, his teachers and the guard behind them.

Immediately Kurogiri looked at them, eyes focused on Brazen.

"Hello," Kurogiri said.

"...hi," Izuku said. "Um…so."

"Hi," Brazen said, stepping a little closer. "You're…you're me."

"I am Kurogiri-my purpose is to serve Master Tomura," Kurogiri said. "I can't stay here."

"You're me-Oboro Shirakumo," Brazen said. "You…I know that you remember something."

"I do not," Kurogiri said.

"But you do," Brazen said.

Izuku looked at the guard. "Can I use my quirk?"

"You've been cleared to do so for this particular situation, just don't free him or destroy any property, or we will have to take action," the guard said.

"Thank you," Izuku said, then used Dasu's illusion quirk to recreate their talk back in the bar.

"The nomu from the USJ had at least three quirks…how many do you have?" Izuku asked. "Teleportation and…?"

"Just the teleportation, but it came from multiple other quirks-what those quirks once were, I do not know," Kurogiri said.

"Oh," Izuku said. "Do…do you remember anything from before you were a nomu?"

Kurogiri paused, staring at the wall silently.

"I'm gonna guess no," Izuku said after a minute, ducking his head slightly. "Sorry, I probably shouldn't have-"

"There were two boys on a rooftop with me," Kurogiri said distantly, almost like he hadn't heard Izuku at all. "We were talking about…something. I couldn't tell you what, but another person-a girl-came up to talk to us. About…what…?"

"That's enough, Kurogiri."

Izuku turned his illusion off. "Two boys and a girl on a rooftop."

"Shota, Hizashi, and Nemuri," Brazen immediately said. "We were talking about…about internships, remember?"

"I…I am Kurogiri-my purpose is to serve Master Tomura," Kurogiri said. "I can't stay here."

Brainwashing-maybe…

"Hey, Kurogiri?" Izuku asked, turning on Hitoshi's quirk.

"Yes-" Kurogiri started, and Izuku brainwashed him-

Almost immediately, Izuku dropped the brainwashing with a gasp and stumbled back, clutching his head-

Aizawa-sensei was quick to rush forward and stop him from falling as Izuku clutched his head, while Kurogiri and Brazen continued their stare-off.

"Are you alright?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"That…that kinda hurt," Izuku muttered, looking at Kurogiri. "I thought that Hitoshi's brainwashing might overpower it-it's the strongest brainwashing quirk I know, so I thought it could outdo what's being used on Kurogiri. Clearly not."

Maybe if we use Disconnect and disconnect the other strings?

Izuku got on his feet-Aizawa-sensei staying close-and turned on Disconnect-

There was only one string, but each strand was a different color, intertwined together and making it impossible to just snap parts of it.

"Hmm…" Izuku said. "Disconnect isn't being helpful here…"

Can we pull the ghosts out?

No, we'd have to see the strings. Exorcism?

I'm…honestly not willing to try that-what if we get rid of what's left of Oboro in there?

What else can we do?

Answer.

Brazen broke eye contact with Kurogiri and looked at Izuku, who tensed up-that was the quirk voice, and everyone made sure to stay silent and listen to it. (also, two points if you get the reference I made. :) )

It's possible to bind Brazen to his body through the string-for the body, as it is retrained, it must be touching skin, so around his neck will suffice in this situation, and to complete the binding and ward off the other ghosts present, an appropriate song would need to be sung. Doing so will break the contract.

I'm guessing that our usual healing songs won't work…

We want a song to bind Brazen to his body and push away the other ghosts, which isn't really the Tangled song or Healing…

Well…Kurogiri isn't really human right now, right? What if we did Human by Christina Perry, or It's Alright by Mother Mother?

Either would suffice.

"Midoriya?" Kayama-sensei asked. "If there's nothing we can do-"

"I can save him," Izuku said, then looked at Brazen. "Choose one."

Brazen thought for a few seconds. "...Human."

"Right," Izuku said, then looked at Aizawa-sensei, Yamada-sensei, Kayama-sensei, and the guard. "I don't know what it's going to be like, so stay back."

The three teachers joined the guard right by the door as Izuku stepped up to Kurogiri with Brazen before turning to Brazen and giving him a hug, clearly surprising Brazen for a second before he returned the hug.

"I'm gonna miss you," Izuku whispered.

Brazen chuckled slightly, squeezing a little tighter. "I'm not disappearing, Izuku-I promise."

"But I won't be able to hear you all the time anymore-it's gonna be weird," Izuku muttered. "You've been in my head since, what, I was nine?"

"Yeah…that's fair-don't get too reckless without me," Brazen said.

Izuku smiled, then pulled back and held out his wrist, Brazen doing the same as the string appeared.

Izuku took a deep breath, then looked at Kurogiri as he slowly slid the string off his wrist, it growing wide enough to fit around the nomu's head. "Goodbye, Kurogiri-it was nice knowing you." With that, he looped the string around Kurogiri's neck, and Brazen-no longer Brazen, Oboro-immediately looked seventeen again. Then, Izuku took another deep breath and began to sing.

(two points if you know this song!)

"I can hold my breath.

I can bite my tongue.

I can stay awake for days

If that's what you want.

Be your number one."

A mist started to come off Kurogiri, who began to struggle, but he wasn't able to do much, and Izuku didn't stop for a second.

"I can fake a smile.

I can force a laugh.

I can dance and play the part

If that's what you ask.

Give you all I am."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!" Kurogiri screamed as he pulsed, a black mass around his center forming before seeming to shatter, and ghosts began to fly away. Izuku, in response, began to sing louder.

"I can do it.

I can do it.

I can do it!

But I'm only human

And I bleed when I fall down!

I'm only human

And I crash and I break down!"

Kurogiri started to try to break the string as the mist faded slightly, his teeth-Oboro's teeth-became visible, and he bit at the string, but it didn't snap-that didn't stop a starting-to-fade Oboro from grabbing his body's hair and pulling his mouth away from the string-the fact that his wrist was closer also made the string go slack-glaring at him.

"Your words in my head, knives in my heart!

You build me up and then I fall apart

'Cause I'm only human!"

The wind in the room seemed to pick up slightly, and the guard and teachers were pressed against the wall-Aizawa-sensei resisted the urge to turn on his quirk, instead shutting his eyes, knowing that Izuku had this handled.

"I can turn it on,

Be a good machine.

I can hold the weight of worlds

If that's what you need.

Be your everything."

Oboro's ghost was barely visible now, but the string started to glow slightly as it grew shorter, pulling Oboro's wrist right by his body's neck, his hand disappearing inside as the string disappeared in his body's neck as well.

"I can do it.

I can do it.

I'll get through it!

But I'm only human!

And I bleed when I fall down!

I'm only human!

And I crash and I break down!

Your words in my head, knives in my heart!

You build me up and then I fall apart

'Cause I'm only human!

I'm only human.

I'm only human!

Just a little human!"

Oboro completely disappeared into his body, waving slightly as the last of the ghosts left, and the last of the mist disappeared, and, sure enough, Izuku could completely see Oboro's body-the scar across his face bigger and more scars on him, surely even more under the restraints. But it was still Oboro-Izuku heard his teachers gasp while Izuku took a deep breath-he was almost done.

"I can take so much.

'Til I've had enough.

'Cause I'm only human!

And I bleed when I fall down!

I'm only human!

And I crash and I break down!

Your words in my head, knives in my heart!

You build me up and then I fall apart!

'Cause I'm only human."

The song faded along with the wind, but the guard and Izuku's teachers didn't dare move-everyone was holding their breaths as Oboro's body sat there limply-

Oboro suddenly coughed and fully sat up, taking a few breaths before looking up at Izuku with a shaky smile.

"That was…not what I expected," Oboro said.

There was a sob before Kayama-sensei and Yamada-sensei launched themselves forward, hugging their best friend while Aizawa-sensei walked over to Izuku, gently putting a hand on his shoulder. Izuku looked at him as Aizawa-sensei gave him a small smile.

"Thank you," Aizawa-sensei said, a few tears in his eyes before he walked over to his friends and joined in on the hug.

..HE'S ALIVE!... (side note, I had a song picked out for this since chapter ten, but like an idiot, I didn't write it down, so I just put together a list of songs that would work well enough and started narrowing it down with specific lines.

Eventually, Oboro was brought to the Tartarus infirmary, then transferred to a hospital on the mainland, and, one thing led to another, Oboro was brought to the Musutafu hospital near UA so Recovery Girl herself could check on him and go through the process of overturning his death certificate. This was also done so Cementoss could come pick up Izuku and drive him back to the school-it was nearly five in the morning at this point, and while Izuku didn't feel physically exhausted, emotionally, he was a little out of it.

So, when he ran into Monoma while walking back to the dorms, he was not in the mood for this conversation.

"...hi," Monoma said, walking up to him.

"Hi-how'd your class do on the exam?" Izuku asked.

"Well, we all passed, of course-as expected from Class 1-B!" Monoma said, but his tone felt a little less…condescending than usual.

"Congratulations," Izuku said. "Same goes for Class 1-A."

"Hmm!" Monoma said, then stopped and looked at Izuku. "By the way…"

Izuku sighed as Yui appeared, her arms crossed as she looked at Monoma, who looked surprised.

"Izuku, you head back to the dorms-I'll join you in just a minute," Yui said.

"'Kay," Izuku said, then walked back to the dorms.

Yui smiled after him for a few seconds, then looked at Monoma. "You wanted to talk to me."

"Yes…hi, Aunt Himari," Monoma said.

"Yui," Yui corrected.

"Hmm?" Monoma asked.

"I go by Yui-if you don't mind calling me that?" Yui asked.

"But that's not the name you were born with," Monoma said.

"It's the name Izuku gave me-besides, why would I want a name given to me by my parents?" Yui asked, then sighed and gave him a look. "My sister was the golden child, but I was never good enough for my parents-"

"I know," Monoma said.

"Then you'd better not try to defend them to me," Yui said.

"I'm not going to," Monoma said.

Yui blinked at him. "...you aren't?"

Monoma shook his head. "I…I've never met them."

"Really?" Yui asked. "They're still alive, though."

"Mom got really mad at them after you died and disowned them," Monoma said. "We…we have a shrine to you in our house-Mom didn't feel comfortable visiting your grave and only recently told me where it was."

"And you shouldn't have been there-it was dangerous," Yui said. "It's fine now, but I don't need anyone visiting my grave-Izuku's the first person to technically visit my grave, and even then, it's not exactly something that means much to me anymore."

"...it doesn't bother you?" Monoma asked. "That Mom didn't visit?"

"It used to," Yui said. "All ghosts want people to visit their graves in the first while-it helps you understand that you're dead and all. No one was there for me, but I made it on my own until Izuku found me."

"Oh," Monoma said.

"Yeah," Yui said a little awkwardly. "So…how's my sister been?"

"Good…she misses you," Monoma said.

"Oh," Yui said. "Well…I'm not sure what else to say, honestly. I mean, I get that you're my nephew, but I don't actually know you-I don't really know my sister anymore, either, not to mention…well. I died. Your living family tends to become a little less important when you take that into account."

"So you don't care?" Monoma asked.

"I've been dead for longer than you've been alive," Yui said. "If Izuku didn't have a ghost quirk, would you care? If I wasn't one of his ghosts?"

"But we can talk to you," Monoma said. "Mom was so excited to learn that you were still around and we might be able to."

Yui sighed. "Just…I guess I can stop by at some point to say hi, just…give me time."

"Why?" Monoma asked.

"You aren't my family anymore-Izuku and the others are my family now," Yui said. "I was hurt pretty badly when I was alive-I never really prepared myself for talking to my sister again because I never thought I would." She took a deep breath. "Just…tell her that I say hi, and that I'll get in touch with her soon? I can talk to you every so often and all, but otherwise, we can just…be friends or something?"

"...sure," Monoma said.

"Sweet!" Yui said. "Now, it's really early, and Izuku hasn't slept yet-"

"It's five in the morning, why hasn't he-" Monoma started.

"I'll see you soon!" Yui said, then disappeared.

Izuku quietly entered the 1-A dorm, smiling softly as he saw all his classmates sleeping in the common room. He wanted to join them, but he just…he needed to be alone right now-Aizawa-sensei had promised that he would come get Izuku in a little while, but Oboro needed a few tests run on him, and he'd likely be in the hospital for a few days while the situation was fully figured out. (Oboro had also promised that, the second he got a phone again, he'd give Izuku his new number, so that was nice.)

Either way, Izuku made his way up to his dorm, where he closed the door and just fell onto his bed-

"Is now a good time to talk?"

Izuku froze and turned his head to see the Reaper from before.

"Oh, hi…Kesshuu Aikawa, right?' Izuku asked, sitting up.

"Just Kesshuu is fine, but yes," the Reaper said, sitting down next to Izuku. "You are a strange child, you know that?"

Izuku chuckled slightly, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah, well…"

"You've definitely made a few people upset with you-I mean, you brought back a dead person-quirks aren't even supposed to do that!" Kesshuu said. "Exorcisms is one thing, but this? It's a nightmare, and it just happened!"

"I don't regret it for a second, if you're looking for an apology," Izuku said.

Kesshuu groaned. "I'm aware, trust me-and, in all honesty, I can't even be mad! While it's my job to help reap souls, those things are a pain to try to deal with! Configurations of ghosts that are unwillingly sucked into a corpse in order to make it move-it's disgusting!"

"Wait, those ghosts were…sucked in?" Izuku asked.

Kesshuu nodded. "We were supposed to take a neutral stance on it-a Reaper's main job is to keep the living and dead worlds separate enough, quirks similar to yours fine as long as each party makes an agreement-but those nomu were brought to life by sucking in nearby ghosts and taking so much of their Lifeforce in order to make the corpse move that most of them fully disappeared once they got far enough unless they manage to make it to a source of Lifeforce in time! And sometimes even that's not enough! We were starting to put aside our neutral stance and just come to take care of the problem ourselves, and then you show up and bring one back and free the ghosts!"

"...ok?" Izuku said.

"That said, there's still more out there," Kesshuu said.

"There's more nomu?" Izuku asked, eyes wide. "Left over from All for One?"

Kesshuu shook her head. "No. All for One wasn't the one to create the nomu."

"He…he wasn't?" Izuku whispered.

"No-close, but not quite," Kesshuu said, then pointed at a notebook on Izuku's desk. "If you don't mind? I have a date, time, and location to help you defeat the creator-technically, you could now, but the Reapers decided to instead give you some information a little into the future to take down that Villain League that keeps attacking you-as long as you promise to take out all the nomu for us when the time comes and destroy all the research-the Lead Reaper will appear at that time to oversee, as will I and others. Will you make this promise?"

"Of course," Izuku said immediately.

"I'm glad," Kesshuu said with a small smile. "There is a Reaper able to see into the future, and as such, we have gathered together some information-that notebook is blank, correct?"

"No-but I have a blank one right…here!" Izuku said, taking one off his shelf and grabbing a pencil.

"May I?" Kesshuu asked, holding her hand out.

"Uh…won't it pass through?" Izuku asked, but held it out to her anyway.

To his surprise, Kesshuu grabbed the notebook and put a hand over it before humming. The notebook began to glow, but afterwards, she handed it back to Izuku, who opened it-

It was no longer blank, instead full of information, but most importantly, at the very top was a date and location, as well as a general description of the situation. When Izuku turned to the next page, it had a map of what looked like a hospital-quickly skimming through, it showed the top few floors as well as some underground floors that were…clearly for experimenting. The next page showed a picture of-

Izuku blinked, looking at the picture of the doctor that had been making the nomu. Kyudai Garaki, using a couple of different aliases, the one in the hospital being Daruma Ujiko, but there was another…

"Dr. Tsubasa," Izuku whispered, recognizing the name-that was the guy that diagnosed him quirkless.

"Yep," Kesshuu said.

"Alright," Izuku said, then turned the page to see two pages on Shigaraki, then two on Spinner, Mr. Compress, and Twice. Not one on Magne, which was…weird, but who was he to look a gift horse in the mouth?

"That information should be all that you need-I can't give you any more than that, so I would suggest that you share this with your teachers as soon as possible," Kesshuu said. "But, otherwise, I'm sure we will meet again soon." With that, she disappeared, and Izuku just looked at the notebook before sighing and laying back on his bed, clutching the notebook to his chest with a sigh as he closed his eyes-he can just hand it to Aizawa-sensei or Principal Nezu later. For now, he hasn't slept in nearly 24 hours, and while he doesn't need to sleep, he could use a nap.

"Hey…Izuku?"

Izuku turned to see Mirio standing next to him, walking back to the dorms after dropping the notebook off with Nezu and explaining the situation.

"Oh, hey, Mirio-senpai, long time no see," Izuku said, giving him a small smile. "What's up?"

"I was going to text you, but my quirk was acting a little…weird when I was training with All Might yesterday," Mirio said.

"Weird?" Izuku asked, tilting his head as Odin appeared next to him.

"How so?" Odin asked.

"Well…we managed to get it on footage-I haven't managed to do it again, but it was really strange!" Mirio said, taking out his phone, pulling up a video, and handing it to Izuku, who looked to see a security video in one of the gyms with Mirio using One for All to jump around Tamaki and Nejire, who were focusing on dodging while Mirio was switching back and forth from using One for All and Permeation.

Tamaki used squid arms to trap Mirio, who started to sink through them, then he suddenly paused and stopped sinking through-had his quirk stopped working? After a few seconds, he went limp-

Then black tentacles burst from him.

"Blackwhip," Odin whispered, looking at Mirio. "You just used Blackwhip."

"Blackwhip?" Mirio asked. "What's…what's that? All Might had no idea about it, and we were going to give you more time after your exam-how'd you do, by the way?"

"We all passed!" Izuku said, deciding not to mention Toga being there.

"Congratulations!" Mirio said. "Most of us had to take the Remedial Course, and we took ours last year!"

Izuku smiled, then looked at Odin, who was still looking at Mirio's phone.

"Blackwhip was used by one of the previous One for All Users-Diagoro Banjo," Odin said. "I don't…Yoichi had a stockpile part to his quirk-that's how it kept getting stronger-but I didn't realize that you'd be able to access the other quirks in there."

"Wait…did you know about the quirks being part of it?" Mirio asked.

"They've always been there," Odin said, holding up her completely black right arm. "I can't use the quirks on my own-we can copy them with Yui, but otherwise…back on topic. Each User adds energy to Yoichi's stockpile, which in turn is added together to make the super strength stronger. Smaller bits of their original quirk energy are also in there, but I didn't think you'd be able to use them like that."

"So…I'm basically not supposed to do that?" Mirio asked nervously.

"Well…technically no, but you already have…" Odin said, thinking for a few seconds. "I can't exactly say anything for certain, but there are a few things I know that might explain parts of it."

"Like?" Mirio asked.

"Well, for starters, you aren't channeling energy directly from me," Odin said. "The previous Users all had me as a sort-of buffer from the quirk, I guess? Like, when All Might fired up his quirk for an attack, the energy he was using would cycle from him to me and back again. I might have acted as some kind of filter between the Users and the other quirks, since you can use the other quirks."

"But All Might couldn't use them after you left," Mirio said just as Yumio popped out of the Mind Palace, holding a notebook and taking notes.

"But All Might was already used to using the quirk a certain way," Yumio said, jotting down notes. "Perhaps he had started to form his own filter of sorts, or the other quirks stopped reaching out at that point to be used, laying dormant. Then, once All Might's quirk was completely gone, the quirk energy woke up within you, but unlike the past users, you don't have access to the same filter or a way to properly build one, which would allow you to use the quirks…"

"...please tell me that I'm not going to get all of the quirks," Mirio said, slightly paling.

"Uh…I have no idea!" Odin said. "This is completely new territory, so…uh…I guess I can get together a list of the past quirks, the activation stuff, and what to look for?" She chuckled slightly, scratching the back of her neck. "I can also work with you on Blackwhip, but you're going to have to come up with an explanation for that one-I mean, the super strength one was one thing, but it's probably a little weird to be gaining a third and potentially more quirks with All for One dead, huh? At least we probably don't have to worry about people accusing you of being a traitor of some kind-"

"Wait, that's not a possibility, right?" Mirio asked, growing paler.

"You should be fine," Odin said. "I'm probably just overthinking here. Definitely overthinking it." She thought for a few seconds. "I'll get that list together for now-how about we talk about it tomorrow, ok?"

"Fine with me!" Mirio said. "Thanks, and I'm sorry to bother you." He paused, looking back and forth between the three. "Something seems…off, though. Everything alright?"

Izuku took a deep breath as Odin sighed, Yumio looking a little uncomfortable.

"...it's…everything will be alright, just…" Izuku trailed off.

"Do you need anything?" Mirio asked. "A hug, someone to talk to…?"

"...that hug sounds really nice," Izuku said as tears formed in his eyes, and he practically launched himself at Mirio, who caught him and hugged him tight as Izuku quietly began to cry.

After a minute, when Yumio went back into the Mind Palace, Odin close behind him, Izuku pulled back, whipping at his tears. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be," Mirio said instantly. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not…not right now-maybe when we see you tomorrow, though?" Izuku said.

"Fine with me," Mirio said. "If that changes at any point, send me a text, ok? If you want to tell me sooner, if you don't want to tell me tomorrow, if you just want another hug-anything, ok?"

"Thank you," Izuku said.

"Don't sweat it," Mirio said as Izuku's phone went off. "Hmm?"

Izuku took his phone out. "It's Aizawa-sensei…I think I know what that's about. See you later?"

"...sure!" Mirio said, then started to walk away as Izuku walked in the opposite direction-towards the gates-while answering.

"Hello?" Izuku said.

"Oboro can have visitors and misses you-I'm almost at the school to pick you up," Aizawa-sensei said.

Izuku perked up. "I'm near the main building right now-should I go fill out a form right quick? Principal Nezu's probably still in his office-"

"Actually, I'm right behind you!"

Izuku jumped and turned to see the principal standing right behind him with a big smile on his face.

"I'll have the forms filled out, but if you don't mind, may I have the phone?" Nezu asked.

"Uh…sure," Izuku said. "Aizawa-sensei, Principal Nezu's right here and asking for the phone." With that, Izuku handed over the phone.

"Aizawa!" Principal Nezu said. "I will be joining you and the Midoriyas here to the hospital to see Shirakumo and discuss his reenrollment here at UA! Have his parents already been contacted, and will they be there as well?" There was a pause. "I see. That will complicate things a little bit-oh, that's a fair point! We will discuss this more when we arrive at the hospital. Would you rather meet at the front gate or the staff parking lot?" There was another pause. "Ah, I believe I see your car-we will see you soon!" With that, Nezu hung up and handed the phone back to Izuku. "Out of curiosity, have you called your father about this situation yet?"

Izuku paused, then groaned. "No…first thing I did when I got back was take a nap, then give you that notebook, then talked to Mirio-"

"Speaking of, will you be willing to put together a list of the past Users for me?" Nezu asked. "I assume that you're already putting one together for Mirio and All Might."

Fine with me.

"Odin is-she'll put one together for you, too," Izuku said.

"Thank you, Odin!" Nezu said. "Now, I believe Aizawa is just around the corner, so let's get going!"

And, just as the two stepped off campus, Aizawa-sensei pulled up and looked at the two as Nezu got into the front and Izuku got into the back.

"Is Oboro doing ok?" Izuku asked as Aizawa-sensei started to drive away. "He's cleared for visitors, but…"

"He's adjusting to being alive again," Aizawa-sensei said. "Otherwise, I'll let him tell you the rest."

"Ok," Izuku said, then paused. "Um…I'm gonna call my dad right quick and tell him what happened…"

"You haven't yet?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"No…right when I got back, a Reaper wanted to talk to me and had some information about the nomu-apparently All for One wasn't the one creating them-" Izuku started.

"He wasn't?!" Aizawa-sensei hissed, looking at Izuku in the rearview mirror.

"No," Izuku said. "But apparently the Reaper ghosts want all the nomu gone, so they gave me information about who's creating them, as well as about the rest of the League and a date, time, and location that will be best to defeat them once and for all-I just have to get rid of the nomu and destroy all the research so they can't be made again."

"The Reaper…why are they involved?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"Nomu are made up of a bunch of ghosts and sucked in against their will to control the corpse-the Reapers want them gone for good, so…yeah," Izuku said.

"I have already received the information and will be putting together a task force shortly-the date is still a few months away, but that's simply time to prepare-of course, the Midoriyas will be present, and the rest of your students may be as well," Nezu said. "As well as Class 1B, but we should not be discussing this today! After all, Shirakumo has been brought back from the dead! It's a time for celebration rather than gloom, correct? Now, though, Midoriya, I suggest you call your father to let him know-before long, I suppose we will have to update your quirk as well, but that can wait."

"Right," Izuku said, then took out his phone and called his dad, waiting for a few seconds for him to pick up-

"Hey, kiddo, what's up?" Hisashi said. "How did your exam go yesterday?"

"Oh, it went great-the entire class passed and got our Provisional Licenses," Izuku said, then took a deep breath. "And…I immediately got called on a mission in Tartarus."

"Congra-wait, what?" Hisashi asked. "Is everything alright?"

"...it…it will be?" Izuku said, a bit of anxiety going through him that was shoved down quickly. "But…so, the warp villain, Kurogiri? He was a nomu, and since we…we discovered that nomu were made of different people and centered around a corpse of someone…" He paused, taking a deep breath.

"...they're what?" Hisashi said. "That's…what?"

"Yeah," Izuku said.

"...why were you called in?" Hisashi asked.

"They managed to identify the corpse…it…it was Brazen's-or, well, Oboro's," Izuku said. "And since his quirk is now registered under mine as one of my ghosts, I got called in to see if I could do anything about him…well, long story short, I can bring people back to life now?"

There was a small thud, then a minute of silence, before Izuku heard a muffled string of curses as the phone was picked up again. "What in the everloving flying f*ck?!"

Izuku chuckled slightly, scratching the back of his neck. "Yep. So Oboro's currently in the hospital while they overturn the death certificate and figure out what to do-"

"What hospital?!" Hisashi asked.

"Musutafu City Hospital-it's near UA so Recovery Girl could get there and do all the checkup stuff to confirm that he's alive and…well, him," Izuku said. "He's allowed visitors right now-I was there right when he was brought in, but I went back to the dorms to take a nap-I'm sorry I didn't call you earlier-"

"Don't be sorry," Hisashi said quickly. "That sounds exhausting-I can't imagine how you're feeling right now." He paused. "Are…are you doing ok?"

"I'll be fine, just…everything's weird right now and doesn't really feel real yet, you know?" Izuku said. "It'll all probably hit me later, honestly."

"Ok…ok," Hisashi said. "I'm getting in the car right now and heading over, ok?"

"Ok…thanks," Izuku said. "Love you, Dad."

"I love you too, Izuku-same goes for all your Sides," Hisashi said. "I'm going to hang up now, ok? Are you ok with that?"

"Yeah," Izuku said. "See you soon."

With that, they ended the phone call, and Izuku looked at Aizawa-sensei and Nezu. Aizawa-sensei was glancing back at him, while Nezu was fully turned in his seat to stare at Izuku.

"Uh…yeah," Izuku said. "It's just…this is so…"

"Understandable," Nezu said. "It's a big change, especially right after your Provisional License, with Toga getting arrested-the last twenty-four hours will be hard to process. Just remember that Hound Dog is always available."

"I am, too," Aizawa-sensei added. "Oboro doesn't have a phone yet, but I'll be making sure he has a way to communicate with you soon, ok?"

"Ok…ok," Izuku said. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it, kid," Aizawa-sensei said.

Aizawa and Nezu stood outside the hospital room with Recovery Girl, Yamada, and Kayama as Izuku and Oboro talked-it had only been a few hours since they'd seen each other, and both of them had spent most of it sleeping, but after…seven years or so together, being separated wasn't easy.

"The Shirakumos truly won't come see him?" Nezu asked, looking at Aizawa.

Aizawa shook his head. "They refused to even consider that he was really here. I get that he's been dead for over a decade, but they ignored him when he tried to talk to them, just hanging up." He sighed. "Honestly, I can't even really blame them-they moved on so long ago, and Oboro never got into contact with them like he did with me, Hizashi, and Nemuri." He sighed again. "But I won't let him go into the foster system, so he can stay with me-I have a spare room."

"Nem and I are going to help out, too," Yamada said quickly. "At least until he's old enough to live on his own…and graduate."

"Ah, yes," Nezu said. "I will be wanting Shirakumo to take a test to see what he's retained of his education, but otherwise, I plan on having him start at school again-after a recovery period, of course. After all, he did pass his entrance exam and had a provisional license. He also technically just passed the exam alongside the Midoriyas-it might be a struggle to regrant him access to his license, perhaps even having him retake the test, but rest assured, he will be a student again and become a hero, assuming that's what he still wants, of course."

"Got it," Aizawa said, peeking into the room, where Izuku and Oboro were talking, a few of Izuku's Sides out as well.

"You'd better wait a while before giving him those tests, though," Recovery Girl said. "He needs to rest-in fact, he won't be released from the hospital for a while yet. While his spirit has been used to moving, and he's been solid-ish while having a contract with Izuku, he's not used to having a body again, not to mention the strain placed on his body. He's on a high amount of painkillers right now-I'm honestly surprised he's awake and talking right now. His motor function isn't fully working, and earlier, right after waking up, he tried to walk right through the wall." She sighed. "It's going to be a learning curve to get him back to feeling fully alive, so for a little while, he's going to be staying here-the rest of the details for afterwards can wait."

The four nodded.

"Well, I trust the doctors here enough, and the paperwork has already been filed to overturn his death certificate," Recovery Girl said. "I've been here for hours, so I'm going to head back home and get some sleep."

"I-" Aizawa started.

"-will be staying here at least until Hisashi Midoriya gets here," Recovery Girl said. "At least, I assume he's heading here?"

"Yep," Aizawa said. "Are you sure?"

"Of course," Recovery Girl said, then walked away…

…just as Hisashi Midoriya rounded the corner, nodding at her and quickly walking over to Aizawa and the group.

"How's Brazen-Oboro, how's Oboro," Hisashi said.

"He'll be admitted for a while-motor functions not the best right now, not to mention his body being damaged," Kayama said.

"I see," Hisashi said, looking around. "Are…are his parents here?"

"No, and they won't be," Aizawa said. "I'm going to foster him once he gets released."

"Gotcha," Hisashi said. "If you can't for whatever reason, let me know and I will."

Aizawa nodded. "I have a feeling it won't be an issue, but I'll let you know."

"Good," Hisashi said, then paused. "How's…how's Izuku taking it, really?"

"Well…I'm going to be sending him to Hound Dog once we get back to school," Aizawa said. "He hasn't really caught a break since the exam finished, and the exam itself was…not a good time."

"Did…did something happen?" Hisashi asked.

"Toga got arrested," Nezu said.

"Toga…as in the one from the League of Villains?" Hisashi hissed, glancing into the room-Izuku and the others weren't paying the adults outside any attention. "How in the flying f*ck did that happen?!"

"She disguised herself as a student from another school and snuck in," Aizawa said. "Your son used his quirk to turn off hers, and…well, no other students were made aware until after the exam was over."

"Please tell me they stopped the exam after that," Hisashi said.

"Nope," Aizawa sighed. "For some reason, they didn't even delay it-it happened in the first few minutes of the first part of the exam-I'm sure she didn't think that she'd be noticed and probably wanted to get someone's blood to turn into, but she underestimated how quickly she'd get caught. She's already on her way to Tartarus with a few Top Ten heroes escorting her there to make sure nothing happens."

"I'm glad she's gonna be in Tartarus, but what if other villains had been there?" Hisashi said. "What if my son was in more danger?"

"I wish I could reassure you better, but all I can say is that your son ended up fine," Nezu said. "We started the dorms to make sure that the students would stay safe from the League, and they shouldn't have known where we were taking the exam…we may be looking at someone leaking information."

Hisashi's eyes grew wide. "You think…?"

"We don't even know where to start the investigation-if we're looking at the teachers, a security bug, or a student," Nezu said. "If it's a student, then what class? We're monitoring all technology use for each student to see if we can catch someone leaking information, but the investigation is at a standstill at the moment, unfortunately." He paused. "Keep this to yourself, of course."

"Of course," Hisashi said.

"Now, let's see how Shirakumo is doing, shall we?" Nezu said, then turned and stepped into the hospital room.

The Sides and Izuku quickly turned to look at all of them, while Oboro was slower to look over with a huge, loopy grin.

"Sho, Zashi, 'Sashi…hehe, your names are similar," Oboro said, slurring his words a little.

"Hey, Bra-Oboro, sorry," Hisashi said, walking over and sitting next to Oboro. "How you doing?"

"Weeeiiirrd," Oboro said.

Hisashi chuckled. "Yeah, that's fair-glad to be alive again?"

"Yea!" Oboro said. "I can-I can be a hero myself now! Gonna still help 'Zuku out, but gonna be a hero aaallll on my own!"

"Can't wait to see it," Hisashi said with a small smile-

Izuku's phone suddenly started ringing. Everyone jumped as Izuku took out his phone and looked, then he sighed.

"I'm gonna answer this right quick-be right back," Izuku said, answering the phone and stepping out of the room.

..

"What's up, Mirio?" Izuku asked, leaning against the wall.

"Hey, are you at your dorm right now?" Mirio asked.

"No," Izuku said. "...please tell me you didn't activate another quirk."

"No, no, nothing like that," Mirio said. "Sir Nighteye just wants to talk to you as soon as he can about all this and get that list of quirks, and if you're available to head over there with me…"

"Can it wait?" Izuku asked. "Now's really not the time-maybe in a few hours or something?"

"Yeah, it can, just wanted to pass that along!" Mirio said. "Let me know, ok?"

"Ok," Izuku said. "It might be a few hours, though-" His phone started ringing again-another call coming in. Izuku sighed. "I've got another call coming in-talk to you later?"

"Yeah!" Mirio said, then hung up as Izuku answered the other call.

"Hey, Shoto, what's up?" Izuku asked.

"Is everything alright?" Shoto asked. "You haven't been back yet."

"Eh…actually, I was back for a few hours to take a nap, and I'm gone again," Izuku said. "It's…wow, it hasn't even been a day yet. It hasn't even been twelve hours." He took a deep breath. "It's…I'll tell you when I get back to campus, alright?"

"Are you going to be able to?" Shoto asked.

"One hundred percent-this is just…not something I want to say over the phone," Izuku said.

"Right…" Shoto paused. "You didn't answer my question. Is…is everything alright?"

"It will be," Izuku said.

"Please tell me Toga didn't escape-wait, is the League doing anything?" Shoto asked. "Should I-"

"Toga's on the way to Tartarus as we speak, several Top Tens escorting her in case of anything," Izuku said.

"...is there a possibility she wanted to get captured to get to Kurogiri?" Shoto muttered. "I know that he's in Tartarus."

"We're not gonna have to worry about Kurogiri anymore," Izuku said.

"We…" Shoto trailed off. "Wait, what do you mean?"

"Uh…I'll tell you later," Izuku said.

"What happened to Kurogiri?" Shoto asked.

"I'll tell you later," Izuku repeated. "I promise, just…"

"I'll stop pushing," Shoto said. "But you are ok, right?"

"Physically, yeah, just kinda tired," Izuku said.

"...mentally?" Shoto asked.

"I'll be fine, but it's been a crazy twelve hours," Izuku said.

"Ok…I'll see you later?" Shoto said.

"Yeah," Izuku said. "Bye."

"Bye," Shoto said, then muttered something Izuku didn't quite catch and hung up.

Izuku took a deep breath, then turned and walked back into the room.

"Who was that?" Hisashi asked.

"Mirio called me-I'll have to stop and talk to him later, then Shoto called to ask if everything's ok," Izuku said.

"Right," Hisashi said.

"What's new with Mario?" Oboro asked, causing Izuku to burst out laughing.

..I couldn't think of a different way to end that scene…

"Hellspawn," Aizawa-sensei deadpanned as he and Izuku walked into the dorms, finding everyone on the commons area.

"Izuku!" Momo immediately said as a few of his classmates stood up, Shoto rushing over and giving him a hug.

"Is everything alright?" Mina asked. "We haven't seen you all day-what was the mission?"

Aizawa-sensei sighed. "Everyone, sit down-I'll explain everything, but you need to calm down and listen."

Class 1-A quickly sat down, Shoto pulling Izuku to sit on the couch with him.

"So, as you're aware, Kurogiri was one of the nomu," Aizawa-sensei said.

"...I already don't like where this is heading," Kaminari said.

"Shh!" a few students said.

"Sorry," Kaminari said.

"Right, so, the nomu are experiments, made from actual corpses with quirks put in," Aizawa-sensei said.

"Ew, what?!" Hagakure said, then hunched her shoulders. "Sorry."

"That's basically the same reaction the rest of us had-it gets…it gets kinda worse," Aizawa-sensei said. "At Tartarus, they managed to identify the base corpse that made up Kurogiri. His actual name is Oboro Shirakumo."

There was a small pause.

"Who's…" Sato started.

"ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING?!" Kacchan screamed, head snapping around to stare at Izuku, who hunched his shoulders. "THERE'S NO F***ING WAY!"

"...yep, it's actually Oboro," Izuku said.

"Who is that?" Jirou asked. "Are we supposed to know who that is?"

"By that name, no, not really-you'd know him as Brazen, one of my ghosts," Izuku said.

Dead (lol) silence as that sunk in.

"As a result, Tartarus called and wanted to see if the Midoriyas could maybe figure out how to bring him back to life as Oboro Shirakumo," Aizawa-sensei said. "That's what the mission was about."

"Was…were you successful?" Uraraka asked, looking at Izuku.

Izuku hunched his shoulders, tucking himself a little more into Shoto's side before he nodded. "I…I brought him back to life."

"What can't your quirk do at this point?" Tsu asked. "You can use any quirk, see someone that's invisible, and bring back the dead."

"I don't know," Izuku said.

"Wait…does that mean Brazen isn't part of our class anymore?" Iida asked.

"Right now, no," Aizawa-sensei said. "He's currently in the hospital-he's fine, mostly, just getting used to being alive again-but Principal Nezu plans on eventually having him take some tests and seeing where he'll be academically, placing him in the respective year from there. He…died when he was a year ahead of you, so he'll either be in your year-and likely class-or a year ahead of you. That won't be for a while yet, as he'll likely be in the hospital for a few weeks before Nezu even has him take the tests he needs to take." He sighed. "I'm sure he'd appreciate if any of you want to visit, so let me know-the Midoriyas will probably be visiting often-"

"Every day we can," all the Sides said through Izuku.

"...right," Aizawa-sensei said. "Well, I have some stuff to do and paperwork to file, so I'll get going." He started to step away as Izuku sighed and got up as well.

"Izuku, where are you going?" Shoto said, standing up as well.

"...right, the Midoriyas have another meeting to get to," Aizawa-sensei sighed. "With Nezu, right?"

"Yeah…" Izuku said-the principal had told him that Sir Nighteye had wanted to talk to Izuku as soon as possible, so had asked to come to campus-All Might and Mirio would be there as well.

"I'm coming with you," Shoto said.

"No…" Izuku said. "I'll be back later, though."

"I wasn't asking," Shoto said.

"Neither was I," Izuku said, then sighed. "I'll tell you about it later, ok?"

"You won't have to if I'm coming with you," Shoto said.

Izuku's phone suddenly buzzed, and he looked down to see-

"Ok, then, I guess-when did Principal Nezu get my number?" Izuku sighed.

"The rat knows everything," Aizawa-sensei said as he walked out of the dorm building.

"Tell the rat I'm coming, too," Kacchan said, getting up.

"Don't forget about me," Hitoshi said.

Izuku's phone buzzed again. "Ok, then, I guess. Let's get going."

This was NOT supposed to happen, but Shoto decided no, so Kacchan and Hitoshi followed suit, so now I'm mentally rewriting the next chapter because these three HAD to involve themselves, and now the next chapter is going to be different. I skipped over Nighteye low-key sulking that these three random teenagers know the story behind One for All….

"So, we have Odin's strength quirk, First's stockpile quirk that allows the quirk to be passed from person to person, Gearshift-which alters the speed of anything the user touches-Fa Jin-builds and stores kinetic energy-Danger Sense-detecting nearby threats-Blackwhip-you already have that one, Togata-Smokescreen-exactly what it sounds like-and Float," Nezu said said, looking over the papers on the table.

"Yep!" Odin said. "My strength quirk and my brother's stockpile quirk fused, so let's just call it seven quirks, plus yours, meaning you have eight whole quirks."

"Oh geez," Mirio said, slightly pale. "That's…it took years for me to use Permeation well, and I still mess up here and there, especially with One for All added."

"You've already been doing well with One for All," All Might said.

"Yeah, but that's thanks to you and Odin-we can't exactly get the original users to help me here," Mirio said, then looked at Izuku. "...right?"

"I don't know where to find their ghosts, so we don't have them," Izuku said.

"But I'll be here every step of the way," Odin said. "Izuku's copied a few of the quirks, too-Fa Jin, Blackwhip, and Danger Sense. Darlina also has an original copy of the Float quirk-it's slightly different from Nana's, but it's close enough that she can help on that end."

"What if they randomly activate when you aren't there?" Mirio asked. "What if I'm in class next time?"

"We'll also be on campus-just let…Snipe-sensei, right?" Izuku asked. "Know to call me-or Tamaki has my phone number. Or Nezu. Or All Might-you get my point. Then, after school, I can sit in on your training if you really need."

"We can be there, too, training," Shoto said. "And we can switch out as needed."

"Hmm," Sir Nighteye said, and they all looked at him. "Togata also does plenty of training at my agency after school and for his internship. In fact, it's where most of his training takes place."

"He's got a point," Mirio said. "Is there a way to try to force-activate the quirks in a more…controlled setting?"

"If you have them manifested, yes-there are quirks like that," Yumio said, appearing next to Izuku-All Might, Sir Nighteye, and Mirio jumped while the rest just looked at him. "However, you haven't really manifested these quirks just yet, so you technically don't have them yet-and we can't even be fully certain that your quirk won't filter out a few quirks." He sighed. "If we could figure out what's wrong with my analysis quirk, perhaps we could take a peek, so to say, and see, but it hasn't truly worked well since before I died."

(Also known as the author realized Izuku would be too overpowered with a copy quirk and a quirk that could see exactly how a quirk works with a glance-) (I'm building him up to that part, don't worry).

"How unfortunate," Sir Nighteye said, thinking for a few seconds as Yumio and Odin disappeared. "I'd rather have you nearby during any of Togata's training just in case-that won't be an issue training here at UA, but my agency is too far." He thought for a few seconds, then sighed, looking at Izuku. "You have your Provisional License, correct? Togata said something about that earlier."

"Yeah," Izuku said. "Everyone in 1-A got theirs."

"Alright," Sir Nighteye said. "Then how about you do an internship at my agency for a little while?"

"Wait, what?" Izuku asked.

"That sounds like a lovely idea!" Nezu said, looking at Izuku. "Any student with a Provisional License can do an internship, but instead of a week long one where you stay with the person the whole time, you are there for a few hours after school each day and on weekends-with hours determined between you and the hero you're interning with. I'm sure that Aizawa will be going over internships with Class 1-A in a few days and the benefits."

"...ok, uh…every day?" Izuku asked. "Would it be right after school, and…?"

"During, actually," Sir Nighteye said. "You'd be excused from classes but have to make them up at a later time."

"Usually on the weekends," Mirio added.

"However, I'm certain that you'd be able to stay on top of your classes easily enough!" Nezu added. "A schedule for making up classes will be determined, but perhaps, with your ghost quirk, one of you could even stay at the school and take notes as needed!"

That could work.

"We can work out the details at a later time, however!" Nezu said, looking at Sir Nighteye. "What days and time would the internship be?"

"Probably the same as Togata's hours-all school day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, then from about ten in the morning until about three on Sundays," Sir Nighteye said.

"That sounds fun-we could even take the train together!" Mirio said, looking at Izuku.

"Well…sure!" Izuku said, looking at Sir Nighteye. "Is there paperwork I have to sign?"

"Yeah-you can come over with Mirio tomorrow, and since tomorrow's Sunday, you can start on a patrol right away," Sir Nighteye said. "You'll be patrolling with Togata during all of those times, training times tend to vary from week to week, but they're always during that time."

"Got it," Izuku said as his friends glanced at each other.

"Any chance we can do an internship with you, too?" Hitoshi asked, and everyone looked at him.

"I don't take many interns-Togata's an exception to that, and Midoriya's only here while we learn about Togata's new quirks," Sir Nighteye said. "I'm not looking for any more interns."

"I believe it would be beneficial for them to work under you, Nighteye!" Nezu said, giving Sir Nighteye a chilling grin. "Shinsou in particular is gearing for underground work, if I remember correctly, which your agency specializes in while still having a limelight presence. And with Togata graduating this year and All Might's continued teaching position, not to mention that your agency still works closely with All Might's, it would be like helping to train the next generation, which would put many people at ease knowing that All Might's only sidekick-turned-pro is helping along the next generation and helping fill the gap left behind!"

"Uh…" All Might said as Nezu's grin looked a little more sinister.

"Not to mention," Nezu added, "while you are trusted by UA for internships and such, something most pro heroes are granted, I'm not completely sure that Aizawa would trust for me to send one of his students into an environment with someone that has previously not gotten along with part of his student's quirk without some kind of trusted person."

"...that felt vaguely threatening," Sir Nighteye said. "Fine. I'll take one of the three for the same hours."

"Glad that we could come to an agreement!" Nezu said, looking over-

"I'll do it," Hitoshi said, glaring at Kacchan and Shoto. "Besides, my quirk can work as an emergency quirk suppressant if something happens and Izuku can't do anything."

"Alright," Sir Nighteye sighed. "Both of you stop by my office tomorrow with Togata, then. If that's all settled, I need to be heading home." With that, he got up, All Might standing as well as the two left the room.

"So…can't wait to intern with the two of you!" Mirio said, looking at Izuku and Hitoshi, then at Kacchan and Shoto. "If you want something for internships, I could ask my friends if their mentors are taking interns."

"Tch, I think I can find my own internship," Kacchan said.

"What heroes do your friends intern under?" Shoto asked.

"Tamaki interns under Fat Gum, and Nejire interns under Ryukyu," Mirio said.

"Hmm…neither sound like ones that I could do well under," Shoto sighed. "I'll find someone else."

"You'd be surprised-fire and ice, right?" Mirio asked. "I'll see what Tamaki and Nejire think and let you know!" He looked at Kacchan. "Are you sure?"

"I'm sure," Kacchan said.

"Alright-well, I'm going to head back to my dorm-I'll stop by your dorms tomorrow around nine-that should give us enough time to get to Sir's agency!" Mirio said, then left.

The four boys got up as well.

"Ah, one second," Nezu said.

They sat right back down.

"Firstly, congratulations on your Provisional Licenses!" Nezu said. "I'm sure you'll be hearing that often for a little while, but it's rare that first years are even permitted to take the exam, let alone pass with flying colors!"

"Thank you, Principal Nezu," Hitoshi said.

"Of course!" Nezu said, then got a little more serious. "However, there's something that I want you four to keep an eye on."

"Yes?" they asked.

"UA is looking into the possibility that there's a traitor leaking information to the League of Villains," Nezu said. "I highly doubt that it's one of the teachers, but especially after the training camp incident, something's not sitting right. Especially since the only ones that knew the location were the teachers present, the Pussycats, and the students."

"You think it might be someone from A or B," Izuku said.

"Precisely!" Nezu said. "I hate to suspect students, but I'm trying to cover all bases." He paused, looking at each of them for a few seconds. "Unless there was some kind of hidden connection from Kurogiri to Oboro that made the League aware of the location-which I highly doubt-I have no reason to believe that the four of you would betray UA and put anyone's safety at risk. Therefore, I'm asking you to keep an eye on your classmates and report anything suspicious-of course, don't tell anyone about this, and try to watch for 1-B if possible, but if it's anyone and not some bug planted during the breakin that has somehow gone unnoticed-which I doubt as I have checked many times-I believe it would be someone from 1-A, especially considering the USJ and the fact that Toga was present at your exam ground that no student from 1-B could have known about."

"We'll keep an eye," Izuku promised.

"'Course we will," Kacchan said.

"Excellent!" Nezu said. "Well, I suppose I've kept you here long enough-have a good day!"

The four got up and left Nezu's office.

"Well, holy sh*t," Kacchan said.

"Exactly," Izuku sighed.

"Internships contracts usually only last a month or two at a time, though, and as much as I don't like him, Sir Nighteye isn't a bad hero,," Odin added. "So at least there's that." She sighed. "It's a guaranteed internship-likely, most of the class won't be on one since they aren't required-heavily recommended, yes, and once you're a third year, it's basically required barring certain circumstances. But not for first or second years, so most agencies don't even really consider long term internships with first or second years-the ones right after the Sports Festival, sure, but otherwise, no. And internships really do have benefits in training and getting experience." She sighed. "Not to mention that Mirio's quirk is something I can help the best with since I know all the past users."

"Thanks for that info dump, Odin," Kacchan muttered.

"Eh," Odin said, then went quiet.

"I'm going to start keeping tabs on your classmates and seeing if there is a traitor," Yumio said. "Katsuki, Shoto, Hitoshi, let me know about anything you see-I'll categorize information and see what I can figure out."

"Alright," Shoto said.

"For now, let's just make something for supper," Hitoshi said. "I'm hungry."

"Same here," Izuku said.

..

"Mindfreak, Flere…plus all the others," Sir Nighteye said, glancing at the two before handing them their contracts. "These contracts span out for a month-they'll be renewed if I deem necessary."

"Right," the two said, quickly snatching the contracts and signing them, handing them back to Sir Nighteye.

"I already told you the hours and have them approved by Nezu-that said, you won't be here this Wednesday, as Lemillion won't be, either-I think your teacher said he wanted the Big Three to talk about internships, so you two will already be one step ahead of everyone else," Sir Nighteye said.

"Yep-it's going to be fun!" Mirio said. "Sir, want me to show them around the agency right quick?"

"Sure," Sir Nighteye said, looking at a stack of papers on his desk. "I would join you, but we got new information about an ongoing case just an hour ago, and I still need to look through the files. It's urgent."

"Of course!" Mirio said, looking at Hitoshi and Izuku. "Let's get going-the agency isn't very big-want me to take them on patrol afterwards, Sir?"

"Go ahead-your usual route will be fine, should be calm enough to train the two on," Sir Nighteye said, opening the first file as Mirio ushered the two out of the office.

But if they had stayed just a moment longer…

They would have seen a face that two very particular Sides would have recognized in fear, as well as a picture of a young child that the heroes-in-training would soon be determined to save.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, did you like it?! Because Jesus Christ, that was so fun to write!

And I've had the next chapter planned out since even before this chapter! The next chapter was originally going to be right before this one (with Oboro being brought back to life in the aftermath, literally the night after Eri would be saved), but then I decided no, because I was already pushing Oboro's Year Checkpoint (would've happened within a few weeks of this, if my calculations and assumptions about the timeline are right), and I decided that I don't really want to write the complications with that. WITH THAT SAID, you guys are going to REALLY hate me this next chapter. This fic is getting dark, and it does not get much brighter from here! On the plus side (lol), I have around five(ish) more chapters planned, and I already have the next few fanfictions I'm going to write planned out, too!

List of Sides!

Izuku, the Main Control Unit, so to speak. Flere. Lifeforce, he's currently 16.

Odin, the Caring Side, Raaya, was Irene/Ofa, has wings/one for all/a vocal quirk, died at 17.
