WE HAVE 100 REVIEWS, 471 FAVORITES, AND 537 FOLLOWERS?!

I'm crying in the corner-but you'll be joining me very soon :).

Also, I had to officially put this onto a second document because the other one kept crashing at 457 pages…I divided it to two so I can actually write without having to worry about it.

"Work study?" Mina asked, giving Izuku and Hitoshi an odd look as the class was eating dinner.

"Yep!" Izuku said. "Since we have Provisional Licenses now, we can go on work studies with heroes. They're different than the internships after the Sports Festival-we'll be back here each night, and it won't be every day, either."

"Since not everyone's going to be doing it, we'll have to do remedial classes on the weekends and after school, but meanwhile, we get work experience," Hitoshi shrugged. "It works out."

"Aw," Mina groaned, pouting slightly. "I want to do one, too!"

"We're going to talk about them in class on Wednesday," Izuku said. "Then we can branch out and find work studies."

"And yet the two of you already have an internship and have signed a contract for it," Tokoyami said.

"Yep!" Izuku said. "It's…complicated, but one of the Sides actually knew Nighteye-not gonna say which one-so he decided to let me intern with him-it kinda helps that I already know Togata-senpai-he's an upperclassman that's already interning with Sir Nighteye."

"Aw, man!" Kaminari said. "You have so many connections in the hero world already and so many options-I mean, how many offers did you get from the Sport's Festival?"

"Too many," Sero sighed. "I wonder if that'll make it harder for the rest of us to get work studies if we didn't get as many offers then."

"I'm sure it'll be fine-the work studies aren't required, and we'll learn more about them on Wednesday," Izuku said as his phone rang. "One sec." He looked at the phone, confused-he didn't have the number saved-but, after a few seconds, he decided to answer anyway as he stepped out of the common room. "Hello?"

"Guess who got a phone!"

Izuku's face lit up. "Oboro! Wait, really? You didn't mention it when I saw you earlier."

"Yeaaaaa, didn't know I would-Shota just gave me a phone!" Oboro said. "Wanted to say hi!"

Izuku smiled. "It's nice to hear from you-hi! Have the doctors brought down the painkillers yet?"

"Naaahhhh, but they're gonna soon!" Oboro said. "I think. Shota, when am I gonna be off the painkillers?" There was a short pause.

"The doctor said that the dose will be brought down gradually over the next week-we just found out ten minutes ago," Aizawa-sensei said. "Hopefully, it'll all go well as we get Oboro used to being alive again, but he'll still be monitored to make sure that he stays ok, and he'll be here for a while afterwards, either way." He paused. "I didn't see you earlier-how was the internship paperwork?"

"Easy enough-we even went on a patrol," Izuku said. "The class was asking about it, by the way-do you think anyone that didn't get many offers during the Sports Festival will have a harder time with finding a work study?"

"Work studies are hard to find in the first place, even with many offers," Aizawa-sensei said. "With that said, my work study in my second and third years were ones that hadn't been offers from the Sports Festival."

"Gotcha," Izuku said.

"No need to tell the hellspawn that, though-it'll all be explained on Wednesday," Aizawa-sensei said, then paused. "Oboro's getting tired-I managed to get him a phone while you were here earlier, but you'd left by the time I got back. Thought you might appreciate a way to talk to him-he seems happy."

"Thanks!" Izuku said. "It's really nice to be able to talk to him."

"Yeah, yeah," Aizawa-sensei said. "I'm going to hand the phone back, but just to say goodbye and goodnight."

"Ok," Izuku said.

"You're stopping by tomorrow?" Oboro asked.

"Of course," Izuku said.

"Sweet!" Oboro said. "Well, goodnight!"

"Goodnight, see you tomorrow!" Izuku said, then hung up and walked back into the common room.

"Who was that?" Hitoshi asked as Izuku sat down.

"Oboro-he just got a phone," Izuku said.

"That's good-did he have your phone number memorized?" Iida asked.

"...I didn't ask, but he might have-otherwise Aizawa-sensei probably has my phone number-it also very well could have been Principal Nezu…" Izuku trailed off.

"...I have several questions," Kaminari asked.

"I have several answers, but I'm not giving them out," Izuku said. "So…what did you guys do today?"

"Don't change the subject!"

"I went and visited my mom," Shoto said.

"Oh, nice-how's she doing?" Izuku asked.

"No, no, let's go back to Oboro having a phone-or work studies!" Mina said. "I wanna know more!"

"She's doing well-enjoying her new job, too," Shoto said.

"That's good!" Izuku said.

Momo reached over and gently pat Mina's shoulder. "They're not going to talk about Oboro or the work studies right now."

"Dang it!" Mina said.

I have a few VERY specific scenes that I've been waiting to write since chapter SEVEN, and I have NO patience in GETTING TO THEM…

"Today, we have three guests here to talk about work studies," Aizawa-sensei said, then looked at Hitoshi and Izuku. "You two already have work studies set up, so this won't be as important, but I still expect you to pay attention."

"Right!" Izuku and Hitoshi said.

"Alright, so to talk about work studies today, we have the UA Big Three," Aizawa-sensei said-

The door opened, and in walked Mirio, Amajiki, and Hado.

"Hello!" Mirio said. "I'm Mirio Togata, but feel free to call me Mirio!"

"I'm Nejire Hado!" Hado said, and there was a short pause, then everyone looked over at Amajiki…

…who was facing the wall and muttering something about potatoes.

Aizawa-sensei sighed, looking at the other two.

"That's Tamaki Amajiki!" Hado said, looking around the room and beaming at Izuku. "Hey, Izuku! Long time no see!"

Everyone turned to Izuku, who just smiled and waved.

"It's been a while!" Izuku said, and Amajiki looked over, sighing in relief slightly at seeing someone he knew.

"It has!" Hado said with a small pout. "Mirio's mentioned that you got a work study with Nighteye-I would've loved to have you with me and Ryukyu-it would've been so fun!" She glanced around at the rest of the students. "Maybe I can drag another student to do a work study over with us."

"Speaking of work studies-let's get back to that topic, Hado!" Mirio said, looking over Class 1-A. We're here to talk about work studies and the learning opportunities that come with them! You remember the short-term internships from right after the Sports Festival and how much you learned during that time, correct?"

Everyone nodded.

"Good-glad there wasn't any amnesia from the camp attack," Mirio said, the last part more to himself. "Work studies typically last a month at a time and can last longer."

"Yours won't," Aizawa-sensei said, and they all looked at him. "Second and Third Years are preparing to sign on to agencies after graduation, which means that they're looking for long-term work studies. Instead, you won't be signed onto an agency for more than a month, and if an exception needs to be made, that will be discussed as needed, but as first years, you should instead be focusing on your schoolwork-anyone that does participate will have to make up classes that they miss…" He sighed, looking at Izuku. "And you have to leave one of your Sides here to continue going to classes."

'I know!" Izuku said. "We'll probably rotate who's staying here."

"With that said," Aizawa-sensei said, looking back to Mirio. "You were planning on demonstrating what you've learned at your work study, correct?"

"Uh…I was, but with my quirk acting weird, it's probably best if I don't," Mirio said.

"Acting…what's wrong with your quirk?" Aizawa-sensei asked, raising an eyebrow.

"...you…you don't know?" Mirio asked, eyes wide. "All Might-sensei said he was going to talk to you about it."

"Why would-?" Momo started as Aizawa-sensei groaned, pinching his nose.

"Do I need to give him another black eye over your quirk?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"Another?!" most of the class exclaimed.

"Uh…no?" Mirio said, scratching the back of his neck. "Can we table this discussion for later, though?"

Aizawa-sensei sighed, then gestured for Mirio to continue.

"Right!" Mirio said. "Now, last week, before your exam-congratulations on all passing, by the way!-I got permission from your teacher to challenge all of you to a fight to show you what I've learned from my work study and the fighting skills that I've gotten as a result, but my quirk started acting up and…well, it's a long story, so I won't bore you with the details!" He looked at Aizawa-sensei. "I'll tell you later, though, if you don't mind-Sir Nighteye signed Izuku on to help with my quirk, but you're kinda one of the backup plans for during the rest of the week."

"And why wasn't I told about this?" Aizawa-sensei asked.

"Uh…in my defense, it's been a stressful time?" Izuku said.

"Not your responsibility, I have a bone to pick with All Might," Aizawa-sensei said. "But that's not part of this lecture."

"Right!" Mirio said. "So I can't actually challenge you to a fight-I'd say Tamaki and Hado could, but…"

"Don't volunteer me for things," Amajiki said.

Hado, meanwhile, was looking at the students and mumbling to herself.

"...yeah," Mirio said.

"But they are allowed to fight on patrols and even participate in villain attacks!" Odin said-they all looked at him again. "For example, I remember seeing some fights of theirs on the news that I could bring up for examples later, but work studies really do help with experience and learning fighting styles, as well as the different aspects of patrol and even paperwork-they go more in-depth than the internships do since we're legally able to do more."

"Thanks!" Mirio said. "Well, we overbooked this time, so I'll leave for now and let your teacher talk more about work studies!" With that, the three left, and they all turned to Aizawa-sensei, who had his phone out and was sending a text. After a few seconds, he shoved his phone back in his pocket and turned to the class.

"Right," Aizawa-sensei said. "Now, during the Sports Festival internships, you made connections with the heroes at the agencies you were at, or maybe even other offers you want to explore more of from the Sports Festival, although those tend to be a little less reliable. You're responsible for finding work studies on your own-they aren't required, so if you don't want to take one right now and would rather focus on school and training here, do so, but you won't get the same experience as your classmates that choose to get one." His phone buzzed, and he looked at it before groaning. "With that said, hellspawn, behave, I have something to take care of." With that, he walked out of the class.

All Might was later spotted with a black eye, but honestly, none of the students were brave enough/caring enough to question it…so! Skip to the Work Study, and a few things to note: Nighteye didn't actually tell Izuku and Hitoshi about Overhaul, but don't worry about that, Izuku's going to know anyway…I wonder if anyone caught this detail, it's been a while :). Overhaul also DID visit the League, but since not much changed besides Dabi and Toga not being there, I decided not to rewrite that part.

Also! Give yourself five points if you saw this twist coming! I haven't been doing so much foreshadowing as I originally planned because these two characters weren't as important as I thought they'd be, but I did have it planned from the start!...

"We're heading on patrol!" Mirio shouted into the agency as he, Hitoshi, and Izuku stepped out of the agency.

"Right-be careful," Nighteye said as the three left.

Mirio looked at the two first years. "By the way, what are your hero names? Mine's Lemillion."

"Mindfreak," Hitoshi said.

"Flere," Izuku said. "The ghosts technically all have their own hero names, too, but that's…complicated, so Flere works great for all of us."

"Interesting!" Mirio said. "Now, patrol has started, so don't let your guard down, ok?"

"Right," Izuku and Hitoshi said.

Can we turn on Danger Sense just in case?

Sure-Danger Sense, as used by Hikage Shinomori, acts like a sixth sense to detect intent and negative emotions, such as threat and malice. However, as a side effect, it causes a sharp, stabbing sensation.

Right!

Izuku glanced around as they patrolled, too, but mostly, things were pretty normal...until they weren't.

There was a slight pain in Izuku's head, causing him to pause and turn his head just in time to see a young girl run out of an alleyway and right into Izuku, causing her to fall down-

"Hey, are you alright?" Izuku asked immediately, kneeling down next to the girl as his head hurt slightly more-something's wrong, should we-

The pain quickly became stabbing as someone said, "Eri."

There was a sudden stab of insecurity as Izuku looked up to see-

SHIT SHIT SHIT RUN RUN AWAY HE'S GONNA KILL US ALL-

The girl, Eri, was trembling slightly. We can't leave yet-who is this man?

He's a villain-

Brother-

Izuku had to stop himself from tensing up as fear raged through the Mind Palace, quickly replaced by confidence-

Don't let him see that we're afraid-act as if everything is normal.

This man is insane-

He killed us!

"I'm sorry for my daughter's behavior," the man-Kai, his name is Kai, he renamed himself from Kazuo-well, we aren't calling him Kai, that's my name!-said, completely unaware of Izuku's inner turmoil as he stared at the man that had killed two of his earliest Sides-two of his very own family. "She gets carried away with her little games."

"Flere, didn't realize you stopped!" Mirio said, but he didn't look at Izuku, instead staring at the man. "Next time, say something, ok?"

"...right, sorry," Izuku said, but he looked down at Eri-she was covered in bandages. "And, sir, you don't have to apologize, kids love to run around and such."

Eri looked up at him, fear in her eyes-

We can't let her go back with him-please, Izuku, we can't.

Do Mirio-senpai and Hitoshi even know that we're facing a villain?

"Still," Kai-Kazuo-said, then looked at the three. "Rookie heroes, I'm guessing? I've never seen you before."

"Oh, we're students doing field training!" Mirio said, the fake enthusiasm in his voice clear-ok, so he knew something was going on-Hitoshi seemed relaxed, but Izuku knew him well enough that he realized something was wrong and was figuring out the best course of action.

Izuku decided to ignore the conversation for just a second and focused instead on Eri.

"Are you alright?" Izuku asked quietly. "You're covered in bandages."

"Mmm," Eri said, looking at her arms-her feet were bare, too, and Izuku could see some cuts on her feet.

"I have a healing quirk if you want me to take care of it for you," Izuku said with a small smile. "It won't hurt."

"...please," Eri whispered.

"Ok!" Izuku said, glancing up at the man as he glared at him-we need to grab her and run-

We don't have any power in this situation-we can't just start a fight or take her, we'd get in trouble!

We can't just-

Lifeforce tag-let's place one on her just in case-we'll be able to find her later-and, just in case, one of us can go with her.

I can go with her, two voices piped up at once.

Hex, Paz, are you sure? He's dangerous…

We're ghosts, and we'll stay invisible unless we need to be-he'll never know that we're there.

be careful.

Of course, Mom.

We'll stay safe.

Izuku smiled up at the man. "Your daughter seems hurt."

"She falls over a lot," the man said, clearly growing impatient.

"I have a healing part of my quirk, if you don't mind me using it-can't leave a young child hurt!" Izuku said.

"...sure, whatever," the man said.

"Ok-Eri, right?" Izuku asked, looking back at the girl as he placed a Lifeforce tag on her.

Eri nodded.

"Ok-mind if I adjust how we're sitting right quick?" Izuku asked.

Eri nodded, and Izuku moved slightly so she was sitting on the ground a little better.

"Thank you," Izuku said, then took a deep breath and began to sing. (two points if you guessed the song!)

"Flower, gleam and glow,

Let your power shine.

Make the clock reverse.

Bring back what once was mine.

Heal what has been hurt,

Change the fate's design.

Save what has been lost,

Bring back what once was mine.

What once was mine."

After a few seconds, Eri looked at him with wide eyes. "It…it doesn't hurt anymore."

"What do we say, Eri?" the man said.

"T-Thank you," Eri said.

"Aw, of course!" Izuku said. "I'm just glad you're not hurt now."

"Hmm…interesting quirk," the man said, sounding a little…weird as he said that.

"Thanks!" Izuku said.

"With that, we should get going-come on, Eri," the man said.

Eri flinched and clutched a little more at Izuku's hero costume.

Izuku hummed, giving Eri a concerned look.

"We're ready to follow her-we'll keep her safe," Paz promised quietly-the two were invisible and unhearable by the others, but still had their weapons drawn and were eying the man and Eri carefully, just in case.

"Now," the man said, starting to remove his glove-

HE'S GOING TO KILL US-!

Eri gasped, then let go of Izuku and ran over to the man, Paz and Hex right behind her.

"Finally, let's go-this alleyway is filthy," the man said, turning and walking, Eri following-still with no shoes, Izuku wasn't a fan of that, but…

"We have to go back to the agency and see Sir Nighteye," Mirio hissed quietly, grabbing onto Izuku and Hitoshi. "Now."

..I wrote "Sir Neigheye" and had to stop and question everything for a second. I don't even know what was going on in my head, but maybe someone else will join me in laughing…..

"Overhaul?" Hitoshi asked, giving Sir Nighteye and Bubble Girl a look.

"He's a leader of a mafia group-the Shie Hassaikai," Bubble Girl said. "I'm really sorry, we should've warned you about the investigation, but we didn't think you'd run into him!"

"Of course we did-this one's a trouble magnet, I swear!" Hitoshi said, jabbing at Izuku's side, expecting some reaction, but Izuku just stared at Sir Nighteye.

"And he claimed he had a daughter?" Sir Nighteye said. "We don't have any kind of report on a daughter." He sighed. "It's going to make this that much harder when we have to take her safety into account-and having him arrested isn't something that's possible right now because we don't have enough information."

"What information do you need?" Izuku asked.

"Don't worry about it," Sir Nighteye said.

"Tell me," Izuku said. "And I can have it to you in about…"

I can wander around and see what I learn-give me a few days.

"A few days, depending on what we need to know," Izuku said.

"And how do you intend to do that?" Sir Nighteye scoffed. "There's no way that a first year-"

"I have seventeen ghosts living in my head-and Eri is about the same age as the youngest," Izuku said. "Add on the fact that that man killed two of them-"

"Which two!?" Hitoshi asked, giving him a look and turning slightly pale.

"Duke and Dasu," Izuku said.

"Didn't their-" Hitoshi started.

"Yes," Izuku said.

"...holy sh*t," Hitoshi whispered.

"Yeah," Izuku said. "So, I sent two of my ghosts after Eri, as well as placed a tracker on her because of, you know, the murdered-at-least-two-people thing, and I wasn't going to trust him without observing him, so Paz and Hex-or, well, Comhra and Trom, if you want to go by their kinda unofficial hero names-are currently in the building and can look into the members, find files if needed, map out the floor plan-I might have Yumio join them for those, actually-later, he's the one currently at school-and Kai and Eimi have decided to join Hex and Paz for a little bit to get started on those-so!"

"...what the hell?" Bubble Girl whispered.

Sir Nighteye simply blinked at Izuku, while Mirio just gave him a surprised look.

Hitoshi sighed. "Why do you have an immediate plan of action? It's been ten minutes."

"Villains wait for no one," Izuku said. "Also, there's the fact that two people in my head used to be heroes-three, if we're counting Odin-I lived with a hero student in my head for a long time, and I'm definitely going to be spending a while with him after this because I need to not freak out at the dorms about this right now-need I go on?"

"...um…that's quick thinking!" Bubble Girl said, smartly deciding not to touch that subject with a ten foot pole. "Can you figure out as much as you can and…well, it's Friday, so how about you bring everything you can on Sunday while we continue doing our own research?"

"Ok," Izuku said.

"Well, you three are done patrolling for now-maybe you can continue patrolling later, but not right after encountering him," Sir Nighteye said. "For now, training. Bubble Girl and I are still busy, so Togata, you're in charge in the training room."

"Woo!" Mirio said, then gestured for Izuku and Hitoshi to follow him.

"...oh."

"Yeah-it's…it's really not fun," Izuku said. "Sorry to dump that on you-I know that you just got coherent again-"

"Izuku, you don't have to apologize!" Oboro said, reaching over and lightly bumping Izuku's arm. "It's always bad when you have to deal with scared children, let alone let them go." He chuckled slightly. "Don't tell Shota I said this, but when I…well, there were children there when the building collapsed. He refused to go to the ambulance and get medical attention until he saw the children-and even then, I think the only reason he really went was because he was in shock over…"

"Oh," Izuku said.

"But you still placed a tag on her and sent backup-how much do you have on them right now?" Oboro asked.

"We're getting a list of quirks and weaknesses together, and we have enough evidence of their crimes to make any charges stick," Izuku said. "I don't go back until Sunday, so who knows what we'll have by then. We've also got the floorplan coming together easily."

"That's great-and between Hex and Paz, they can keep the kid safe," Oboro said. "Having Kai and Eimi there definitely helps, too."

"Yeah-it does," Izuku said with a small smile. "So…how's your day been?"

"Not as eventful as yours," Oboro said. "I swear, I've only been on a lower dose of painkillers for a few hours, but I still feel very aware of every single bone and organ-this is so weird."

Izuku winced slightly. "Yeah..it does sound weird."

"Luckily, I'm recovering faster than the doctors thought I would!" Oboro said. "Granted, they have absolutely no framework for this kind of thing, but being half-alive as Kurogiri and as one of your Sides might have helped speed along the recovery-I should only been in here for a few more weeks!"

"That's awesome!" Izuku said.

"Yeah!" Oboro said. "And Principal Nezu stopped by and said something about me testing at that point to see if I'm at the same spot in my education or a year behind-maybe I'll even be in your class!"

"That would be great!" Izuku said-Oboro definitely didn't remember that Izuku already knew all this information, but at the end of the day, it didn't matter if he said it all over again.

"But I think that you'll end up a year ahead of us," Yumio added.

"That sounds fun, too!" Oboro said. "I just can't wait to start being a hero student again-getting my provisional license again is going to be…well, interesting, but I'll get to keep my hero name!"

Izuku snorted slightly at that. "Can't wait to see Loud Cloud become a hero-bet you'll rise up the charts."

"And you'll be right there with me," Oboro said.

"Of course!" Izuku said just as his phone went off. He took it out and sighed. "I have to head back to the dorms now…"

"I'll see you tomorrow, then?" Oboro asked. "First thing-ooh, can you bring some books or something? It's so boring in here."

Izuku nodded. "Text me a list if there's any specific ones, or I'm gonna let…Mom and Yui decide what books."

"Ooh, surprise me!" Oboro said.

"Fair enough-I'll see you tomorrow," Izuku said as he got up, gave Oboro one more high-five, then left, already starting to feel bad again.

..

"Izuku, Shinsou, are you two alright, kero?"

The two looked at Tsuyu as they stepped into Nighteye's office, having been all told to meet up there.

"It's…complicated," Hitoshi muttered.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Kirishima asked. "You've been off for a week now-Izubro, you've barely been around the dorms in a while."

Izuku sighed. "I lost Oboro and have been visiting him…and the Nighteye Agency has a case that's…well, I wonder if we're going to talk about it today, there's a lot of heroes here."

"Alright, everyone, find your seats."

The students quickly made their way over to their mentors, and Izuku glanced over at Aizawa-sensei before he sat down next to Mirio and Hitoshi.

"Now, thanks to all the information we've been getting recently, we have enough of a plan in order to execute a raid on the Shie Hassaikai," Sir Nighteye said.

"Wait, haven't we been trying to get information on them for a while?" Fat Gum asked.

"Yep," Sir Nighteye said, glancing at everyone.

"It's not been too long, but yep!" Bubble Girl added, setting a large stack of papers-with two different notebooks in there-on the table as she grabbed one of the loose papers. "Originally, the Shie Hassaikai was part of an incident with Team Reservoir Dogs, but the police ruled it as an accident for…some reason-we're going to investigate the police at a later date to see if there's something going on there, but here at Nighteye Agency, we decided to do some investigation."

"As we've found, this mafia group has been contacting other villainous groups and have even been involved with the black market all over Japan in order to increase their finances. We also have reason to believe that they've made contact with the League of Villain's Twice, and while we can't keep track of League, the police have determined that a fight broke out between the two groups as there were bodies found from both sides-we have confirmation that the villain known as Magne is dead, as well as a subordinate of Overhaul's, one that we haven't been able to identify."

The information on the League from the Reapers was missing Magne…

"Now, we have more than enough for a raid, as I stated," Sir Nighteye said. "For this reason, we reached out through the HN to start discussing it."

"Wait, should we be including the UA students here for this?" someone asked. "This is bound to be too much for kids."

"Hey, now, my interns are very important here!" Fat Gum said, gesturing over to Amajiki and Kirishima, who both looked surprised.

"The Shie Hassaikai were suspected of selling illegal drugs, so I brought Fat Gum into this as he's familiar with the topic," Sir Nighteye said.

"The other day, we were involved in a battle with a thug-Suneater was shot with a bullet that had a drug in it-one that breaks quirks and makes them unusable," Fat Gum said.

Izuku's eyes grew wide, alongside everyone else in the room's, as everyone turned to stare at Amajiki, who looked like he wanted to disappear into his seat.

The bullets the Shie Hassaikai are making out of…

Izuku turned pale and distantly heard more being talked about, Mirio and Amajiki saying something, Aizawa-sensei saying something, but he could barely focus as he felt like he was about to panic-

Duke and Dasu on the verge of panicking was definitely not helping, neither was the fear that Darlina was feeling-

The entire Mind Palace was calm as Kai said, it's going to be alright. We have eyes on Eri right now and are preparing to take her back.

Izuku felt his shoulders fall just as Sir Nighteye said, "We actually do have confirmation, and it only gets more disturbing from there." He paused, then turned and looked at Izuku. "Flere, want to talk about your findings?"

Izuku tensed up as everything came crashing through the Mind Palace.

"Hey, you didn't say anything about Flere having to talk," Mirio said, giving Nighteye a look.

"What does that kid know?" someone asked.

Izuku took a deep breath, sent Nighteye a quick glare, and looked around the room.

"Last week," Izuku said slowly, "Lemillion, Mindfreak, and I came across a little girl while we were patrolling. She came running out of an alleyway, scared." He took a deep breath. "Kaz-Overhaul was right behind her."

Mirio, Sir Nighteye, Bubble Girl, and Centipeder gave Izuku an odd look, but Izuku just took another deep breath.

"So he was chasing a small girl-that doesn't really mean anything," someone said-Aizawa-sensei and Izuku's classmates quickly glaring at them, but Izuku didn't react.

"My quirk allows me to make contracts with different ghosts," Izuku said. "K-Overhaul killed two of them a long time ago."

The room immediately went dead (lol) silent.

"So, of course, we immediately knew something was wrong," Izuku-was it Izuku? A few Sides were talking at the same time, too, it felt like. "We had to let the girl-Eri, she's as young as the youngest of us-go, but we knew something was happening-she was injured, covered in bandages, barefoot, wearing rags-" He took a deep breath, and when he spoke again, it was just him. "I was suspicious, so I used an aspect of my quirk to put a tag-it's sort of like a tracker-on her and sent two of my ghosts to follow her and see if she was alright, reporting my findings as I found them-from the building layout to every single member to all interacts that took place…on Monday morning, we…Eri was hurt immediately after we sent her back, but on Monday morning, my ghosts reported why." He took a deep breath again, looking around the room. "She's being used to make bullets to erase quirks-and they're working on ones that can completely get rid of quirks."

You could've heard a pin drop in the room for just a moment-

Before there was shouting in the room, and the calm broke-

Someone was right next to Izuku, pulling him into a hug-there were more arms, but he couldn't focus on who was there as people were screaming and shouting-someone called for silence, which was quickly granted, but Izuku couldn't focus on the meeting anymore as he felt himself begin to blackout.

:) Do you hate me yet? :)…..

There was someone in the room with Eri.

She couldn't see them, couldn't hear them, but they'd been there since she came back from running away. She was pretty sure there were…two of them. Sometimes there was just one, sometimes there were even four, but never for long, but there were often two of them there. It was…nice.

Normally, when there were people nearby, they weren't very nice-they worked for Chisaki, and while they smiled and such at Eri, they never felt safe-sometimes they got in trouble with Chisaki when Eri didn't like them, but that wasn't their fault! They just weren't…

These two, as well as the two that were there sometimes, felt safe-like that hero! Flere, the other hero had called him. He had been really nice and safe-Eri wished she could've gone with him-

It was a selfish thought. Chisaki would've…would've killed him if Eri had tried, and he didn't deserve that. But he had been so nice, even healing Eri and worrying about her.

"Eri?"

Eri didn't say anything as someone walked into the room.

"I'm just here to check on you-haven't opened any of your toys?" the man said, looking around and walking towards her, sitting on the edge of her bed and gently patting her hand. "Well, that won't do."

See, he was trying to be nice, but Eri knew that he didn't really care. None of them did.

"Perhaps a different kind of doll would do," the man mused to himself-Eri wasn't really paying attention, instead thinking about the others in the room-they were on edge, Eri could tell, but she could tell they wanted to protect her. Like…what was that story…guardian angels! They must've been guardian angels!

The man waited for Eri to say something, but when it became clear that she wasn't, he sighed, standing up. "Well, I'll see what I can find for you-until next time." With that, he left…

Eri waited for a minute while the others in the room calmed down, then she looked around.

"H-Hello," Eri whispered. "Where are you?"

There was no response-maybe they couldn't talk?

"Thank you for looking after me," Eri whispered. "You're really good guard-i-an angels, but I'm not getting out of here." She sniffled slightly. "I…I'm so sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry about."

Eri startled slightly and looked up to see two people standing there-mostly invisible, but Eri could see them! A boy and…Eri wasn't sure.

"And we are getting you out of here-can you wait just a little longer?" the boy asked, gently kneeling down next to the bed. "We're going to get you out of here-the heroes just need a little more time."

"Heroes," Eri whispered. "Will Flere be there?"

"Of course," the other one said, sitting on the bed, but there was no indent-it was like the angel wasn't there. "He's so excited to save you-we all are-can you just wait a little longer for us? We'll do our best to keep you safe."

Eri's face lit up for just a second, then she sadly looked down.

"Chisaki…he'll hurt you," Eri said.

The boy gently reached over and put a hand over hers-

It felt nice and safe, and Eri looked at him as he grinned.

"I would like to see him try," the boy said softly.

.that scene came out of literally nowhere, it just felt too right not to write, so I don't make the rules here, Eri gets some comfort and a promise! Also, I just find the concept of Eri calling these two guardian angels adorable. Plus, my mind keeps telling me to make this darker, so I need some lighthearted stuff in here…..

A date for the raid was quickly set for two days later, and once that happened, the UA students were sent back to the dorms with Aizawa-sensei. The entire bus ride back, the students were silent, wanting to ask questions but knowing better than to ask in public.

As soon as they were on campus, however…

"You eight will have tomorrow off from school," Aizawa-sensei said as soon as they entered campus, and they all looked at him. "I'm also requiring a session with Hound Dog-Togata, Amajiki, Hado, I'll talk to your teacher and get the details figured out, but that was intense and a situation that no student should have to go through, especially having a confirmation that a child is being used for something like that. You're not allowed to talk to your classmates about it, but Hound Dog will be available. The session can take place after the raid if you'd rather, but take into account that you are all part of the raid and can't afford any distractions." He sighed. "I'd prefer if you didn't have to be present for the raid, but I also believe you're all capable of this. If that changes before the raid, you won't be there, whether that's something I decide or something you decide. Know your own limits, and if any hero tries to be angry about you dropping out, they'll quickly change their minds or else. Understood?"

"Right," they all said.

"Good," Aizawa-sensei said, then glanced at Izuku. "Which two ghosts? You never said."

"Duke and Dasu-they…they were some of my first ones," Izuku said, then took a deep breath, looking at all of them, then looking specifically at Hitoshi. "You…you know what that means."

"I do," Hitoshi said.

"...anything you want to share?" Aizawa-sensei said.

Izuku sighed. "I first met Duke and Dasu on a class trip to Kyoto-they were poltergeists, playing pranks on tourists." He took a deep breath, then looked Aizawa-sensei dead in the eye. "Mom got p*ssed when she found out how they died because their brother did it."

They all tensed up.

"Which, honestly, it's a little ironic at this point," Izuku said, shaking his head. "Mom's brother was there when she died, Darlina's brother killed her, and Duke and Dasu's brother killed them. Most of the Sides have had sh*tty families, honestly, but…it still hurts, you know?"

"...I'm going to check and see if Hound Dog is available," Aizawa-sensei said, taking out his phone.

"I'd rather wait until after the raid, if you don't mind," Izuku said. "I don't think I can handle it if I talk about it with Hound Dog right now, but if I'm not there with Hex and Paz…I don't want them to be in the thick of it without me." He chuckled slightly. "Also, while we were on the bus ride here, Eri noticed that they were there and called them guardian angels-even asked if I was coming to save her. Can't break Hex and Paz's promise, now, can I?" He smiled slightly, then frowned. "I'm still going to bug Shoto for a hug-can't tell him what's going on, I know, but I need a hug right now, and he gives the best ones."

With that, the tension was broken as Tsu said, "I thought Shoji would be the one with the best hugs."

"Shoji's hugs are great, but you have to consider Shoto's quirk-I'll definitely be Olaf in the situation for warm hugs," Hitoshi said. (two points if you get the reference)

"Who's…Olaf?" Uraraka asked.

Odin gasped in mock offense. "You don't know who Olaf is? Well, we can't have that!" She appeared out of the Mind Palace and began to tug Uraraka and Tsu along as Izuku grabbed onto Kirishima. "I happen to know a great website for pre-quirk movies-since they're over two hundred years old, they don't have copyright, so pirating them is fine!"

"...I'm not even going to ask about that," Aizawa-sensei said, (smartly) deciding to just walk away as Odin started rambling about some of her favorite pre-quirk movies.

now that we've taken care of fluff, onto the part you've been waiting for!…
"Flere, Mindfreak, Lemillion, you three are to retrieve Eri first and foremost and get her to safety, since Flere can track her-we do need all hands on deck, however, so once she's to safety, one of you can keep her safe while the other two rejoin the fight."

"Right," the three said.

"Likely my ghosts can keep her safe-she already trusts two of them, and I trust those two to protect her," Izuku added.

"...right," Sir Nighteye said. "Just get her out of there."

"Alright, team, is everyone in position?" someone asked over the comm.

There were people muttering affirmation, and the group prepared to move in-

"NOW!" The gates burst open and some members of the group came running out to fight.

Immediately, the three hero students burst into action, moving away from the rest of the heroes and through a side entrance as Izuku sent out all of his ghosts to scope the area in front of them and clear a path-nothing would stop him from getting to Eri.

..

"It's loud," Eri said, looking at the two guardian angels.

"I know, but that's the heroes-we're getting you out of here now, ok, sweetie?" Paz asked, not hesitating to scoop up Eri and hold her close before looking at Hex, who quickly grabbed out their bow, stringing in an arrow as Paz grabbed out his shield, holding it in front of Eri. "Flere's on his way with Lemillion and Mindfreak-those two boys with him the other day, ok? We're going to get you to him-"

The door flung open, and there stood Overhaul, who looked pissed.

YOU NEED TO GET HERE NOW!

"Odin, Yui, disengage and head over there!" Izuku said as he broke down the wall in front of him, Mirio, Hitoshi, and his other Sides engaged with different members of the Shie Hassaikai that they'd run into down this route-it was the fastest way to Eri, but these members seemed to understand that some heroes would head to her first and were acting to stop them.

Not that Izuku would let them, the three (and ghosts) having defeated most of the ones present, but they were getting overwhelmed by numbers-that said, with Overhaul right there, Izuku could spare Odin and Yui…hopefully.

"Odin, you stay here-I can hold him off," Yui said, then used a quirk to create an area around her as she disappeared, the fight continuing to become more and more intense, but more dropping as Blackwhip (for Mirio) decided to rear its head, allowing Izuku and Hitoshi to run through the nearby hallway, Izuku's wings popping out of his back as Odin, Duke, Dasu, Eimi, and Kai stayed behind with Mirio, Darlina and Yuki continuing to scout out the area in front of the two. Izuku quickly picked up Hitoshi and flew through the hall as fast as he could.

.

Immediately after appearing, Yui decided to copy Crust's quirk Shield, creating a large shield in front of her to put some space between Overhaul and herself where she stood in the hallway-Hex and Paz had managed to get out into the hallway and run away from Overhaul, carrying a scared Eri.

"Keep running!" Yui said as the shield began to shatter thanks to the man's quirk. She created another shield, this one just like Paz's, holding it in front of her.

"Right, thanks Yui!" Paz said as he and Hex continued away with Eri.

"Another dirty hero-who are you?" Overhaul said, his arm looking…strange, almost, for a second before he pulled out a gun and took aim-

Yui was quick to pull out her own gun and take aim, too.

"Don't even think about it," Yui hissed. "Your bullets can't kill me, but the death that awaits you is not one you want."

Damn Yui, where'd that come from?

Didn't think you had it in you to make a death threat…

Neither did I, but I'm not going to let him hurt any of my famILY. (one point if you get the reference)

did you seriously think that in caps?

Not the time.

"You're in my way," Overhaul hissed, clearly not phased by the gun pointing at him as he took a step, but Yui simply held the gun strong. "You're not going to take the shot-you're just a hero student, still just a child in this dirty world-"

Yui took aim, blinked once, twice, and shot for his leg.

The entire compound shook and began to shift, the walls collapsing slightly-

Izuku quickly set Hitoshi down and landed himself, his wings disappearing as the walls became too close together for Izuku to have his wings out-

"This must be Mimic-he must be manipulating the walls," Izuku said, then touched the wall. "I can do the same thing." He took a deep breath, then spread out his senses and, with a big smile on his face, said, "Occupy!"

I lowkey forgot that Occupy was one of Izuku's quirks and that I established how powerful this quirk was at the beginning of the year, not gonna lie…..

Aizawa stared at the wall where Fat Gum and Red Riot had disappeared in, but ultimately decided to keep moving-he still had no idea where Flere, Mindfreak, and Lemillion were, and while the three were capable heroes, there was an uneasy feeling in his gut (which was in part due to the fact that Oboro wasn't with Izuku like he always had been, honestly).

Aizawa quickly went over the floor plan-well, it was pretty useless in this case with Mimic around, but there was still supposed to be a staircase nearby-

A hole in the floor suddenly appeared, and Aizawa jolted before looking down to see-

"Hi, Eraserhead!" Flere said, waving at him from…two floors down.

Aizawa quickly jumped down to join them. "Where's Eri?"

"We're heading down-Yui and Overhaul are currently in a standoff, with Hex and Paz moving Eri-one more floor down, but a while that way," Flere said, pointing. "I'm using Occupy right now-should've used it sooner, didn't think about it, I'm sorry-"

"Don't apologize-high-stress situation," Aizawa said immediately. "Let's get going-where's Lemillion?"

"With Dasu, Duke, Odin, Eimi, and Kai-a little that way," Flere said, gesturing. "I can only stretch Occupy so much-this place is bigger than I've done before, so it's not the best, and I'm just going to do a bit and mostly just defeat Mimic and get the floor plan back to normal-hang on, found Mimic." He opened a hole in the floor. "Down one floor, Darlina will show you the way to Eri-get her out with Hex and Paz-Eraserhead, do you mind heading over to Yui and Overhaul? She's holding on…but could really use a hand."

"Of course," Eraserhead said immediately. "Just get me there."

"Right-that way," Flere said.

"Mindfreak, let's go," Eraserhead said, then jumped down a floor, Mindfreak right behind him.

…..

Izuku closed the hole behind the two before he cracked his knuckles-he'll be right behind the two, of course, but first…

Izuku smiled, then jumped up a floor, slinking through the ceiling into the floor, then through a wall to find a very frustrated Mimic that was trying (and failing, to Izuku's satisfaction) to control his surroundings.

"Why isn't my quirk working?!" Mimic muttered angrily as Izuku leaned against the wall, a smirk on his face.

"Well," Izuku and Hinata said, causing the mafia member to spin and face him. "I suppose that would be because of us, wouldn't it?"

"Who are you?" Mimic asked, starting to pull out a gun-

A black tentacle shot out of the wall and grabbed onto the gun, tearing it away and giving it to Izuku, who lazily pointed it right back at a horrified Mimic.

"Your worst nightmare," the two said. (two points if you get the reference).

"N-Now let's talk about this," Mimic said. "You're a hero-you won't shoot me."

"I am a hero," Izuku said before Duke appeared next to him, grabbing the gun and pointing a little more accurately, causing the villain to clearly start panicking.

"I'm not," Duke said.

"H-Hey now," Mimic squeaked out. "You wouldn't want to be responsible for someone losing their quirk entirely, would you?"

The two paused, Duke holding the gun steady as Izuku glared at Mimic.

"You've already completed the full version," Izuku hissed. "That's not good."

"Wait, you knew?!" Mimic asked, taking a step back, touching the wall behind him to try to activate his quirk-

"Oh, quiet," Izuku said, turning on Disconnect and lightly pulling at the man's string. "I don't need to have a quirk erasing bullet to take away your quirk, so how about we get you to the cops so I don't have to worry about you-we have to get over to Eri." He looked at Duke. "Can you get him to the police? I need to get downstairs."

"Of course-do you mind fully taking his quirk out, though?" Duke asked. "At least for now-one less thing to worry about."

"Ok," Izuku said, taking a deep breath before he mentally tugged the string slightly more, then made it visible and handed it to Duke. "That should keep him in line." He looked at Mimic. "This quirk is called Disconnect-this string is your connection to your quirk." He tugged on the string slightly, making it ripple and causing Mimic to make a noise. "The string snaps, there goes your quirk-Duke here has permission to snap the string if he feels the need to, so you should probably listen to what he says unless you want to be completely quirkless."

Duke nodded towards the door and started walking. Mimic was quick to start following in fear.

Izuku took a deep breath and started to sink into the floor-

Get here NOW!

Izuku took off, slinking through the floors to get to Eri as fast as he could.

The floor started shaking as Hex tightened their grip on Eri and the shield, continuing to run as fast as they could, Paz right behind the two, keeping an eye on the enemies.

"I'm not a fan of that," Hex muttered, looking around as the floor shook again, the walls starting to collapse around them-

Hex shifted the shield and hid under it with Eri, Paz quickly joining, swords out and ready for the fight-

SH*T!

That is not good.

And, just like that, Hex and Paz only had a moment to grab Eri and dodge as the ceiling collapsed, bursting through the cracking wall and into a large space that was clearly not supposed to be like that-

-there was Overhaul and one of his lackeys, who was fighting Yui-she was copying a few quirks, but she was clearly losing and running out of stamina.

I'm on my way-just hold on a little longer!

Yui gave a short nod to Izuku's promise, but Overhaul turned and looked right at Hex, Paz, zeroing in on Eri.

Well, sh*t.

Eri whimpered a little, clutching at Hex as Paz drew his swords, Hex taking the shield and placing it in front of Eri to protect her, giving the girl a small smile.

"It's going to be ok," Hex whispered. "Flere's on the way to save us-we just have to hold on a little longer-"

"Eri!" Overhaul shouted angrily, Yui struggling even more to get over there-

None of the fighters can get there right now-damn these guys, why are there so many-hold him off for just one more minute! Toshi and Eraserhead are heading over, too!

"This shield had better hold up," Hex muttered. "Paz, you fight, I protect."

Paz nodded, glaring at Overhaul, who took out a gun and took aim.

"One more step, and there goes your quirk," Overhaul said. "I'll purge you of your sickness right. Now."

"He'll lose his quirk-I-I can't-" Eri started just as Paz started to laugh, clearly surprising Overhaul and his henchman, who got distracted for just a moment-

-and that moment was enough for Yui to land a hit right where it hurts, causing the guy to hunch over-

Eraserhead and Mindfreak, followed by Sir Nighteye, entered through one side. Meanwhile, Izuku burst through a wall nearby, eyes immediately looking at Hex, Paz, and Eri, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw that they were pretty much unscathed before he looked at Yui before flying over there.

Yui smirked as Izuku landed by her, and Overhaul quickly got up and staggered back, glaring at them.

"It's you," Overhaul growled. "Why are you here?! You never should have been in contact with Eri in the first place!"

If I appear, how pissed would he be?

Oh, let's do it. Are you ready?

I just dropped Mimic off, so let's go.

"No, Kazuo," Duke said, appearing at his age of death and standing next to Izuku, looking Overhaul dead in the eye. "You're the one that shouldn't have been here."

Overhaul's breath hitched in his throat, and he stumbled back even more.

"You're dead!" he screamed. "How are you-"

"You can't get rid of me that easily," Duke said.

Hang on, I'm available!

Dasu appeared on Izuku's other side with a big smile, and that just angered Overhaul even more as he took off his gloves-

"It's over, Kazuo," Dasu said, then smirked. "We have the high ground." (two points if you get the reference)

I'm going to punch you later for that, you know that, right?

Worth it-but focus on the enemy right now.

"You'll never win," Overhaul hissed and made a hand motion-his gloves completely off, be careful, he's going to use his quirk-quick, disconnect- "Already, you. Have. Lost."

Suddenly, two shots rang out, and as Izuku reached for Disconnect, he turned around and saw, in horror, as two quirk-erasing bullets shot out towards Eri. Both missed their marks.

One hit Paz in the leg, and in surprise, he grunted in pain, starting to bleed-the Sides don't bleed, what's going on!?-as he fell down, the other bullet heading towards Hex and Eri at an angle, hitting Hex in the arm, and they let out a small scream as their hold on Eri loosened, both falling as Hex held the shield closer, trying to grasp as their arm and keep Eri safe-

DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER HEX AND PAZ HAVE BEEN HIT WITH A QUIRK-ERASING PATHOGEN. UNABLE TO ENTER THE MIND PALACE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE TO PREVENT FROM AFFECTING IZUKU. DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER, HAYWIRE MODE ACTIVATING.

WHAT THE F*CK IS-?!

"We missed her."

Izuku snapped his head back over to Overhaul, who was holding a gun and pointing it at Izuku, one of his henchmen coming closer.

"I won't miss you, though," Overhaul said, starting to pull the trigger. "Those two are already free from their diseases-you'll know that same freedom here shortly."

Izuku…

…saw…

red.

Overhaul pulled the trigger, but Izuku shot out a water whip and smacked the gun out of his hand, Blackwhip combining enough to make the gun go flying, and a crack was heard immediately upon impact.

"You'll pay for that, brat!" Overhaul said as his henchman got closer, and as soon as his henchman stood by him, Overhaul reached down and touched the ground, using his quirk to cause the environment to shift, causing everyone to move around a little as the ground became unstable.

Izuku and Yui immediately floated above the ground, keeping their eyes on Overhaul as best they could as he tried to shift out of view-

"Hex!"

.

Hitoshi's legs started to move on his own as he began to run towards Hex and Eri, Nighteye and Eraserhead right behind him as spikes shot over, one shooting up between the two, and in their pain, Hex was forced away from Eri, Paz struggling to get up to help but not really able to. Some of the other yakuza members were getting closer to grab Eri, who was freaking out and crying-that wasn't good, they needed to get her out of here-Flere needed to snap Overhaul's quirk and take care of the situation, but Overhaul was getting out of his sight, forming a rock barrier between him and Izuku, making it harder to get Disconnect to work.

Which meant that Eri was up to them as Izuku and Yui tried to get a visual and Duke and Dasu found their footing.

Hitoshi dove for Hex-he was closest to them-noticing Eraserhead order Nighteye to Eri as he went for Paz.

"My bone's broken," Hex groaned in pain.

"Yeah…there's blood," Hitoshi said. "There's not-"

"I can't hear the others, either-I heard a loud sound in my head like a siren, but nothing else," Hex said.

…well, that can't be good.

"Let's get you out of here," Hitoshi said, helping Hex stand and glancing over at Eraserhead, who was picking up Paz, and Sir Nighteye-

Overhaul was rushing over, and Izuku didn't notice him yet.

"FLERE!" Hitoshi shouted, catching Izuku's attention just as Overhaul used his quirk to shoot forward another series of spikes towards Eri, one shooting out of the ground near her-

Sir Nighteye was right there, getting her out of the way and taking the spike through the side instead.

..Well, this scene got away from me easily…I'm evil :)...

Izuku turned at Mindfreak's shout just in time to see Sir Nighteye get impaled, and he immediately flew over-with Overhaul-looking different…what did he do when he was out of sight?-focusing on getting to Eri, the ground was no longer shaking, Duke and Dasu were no longer off-balance and running over as well-

"This is all your fault, Eri! Just come back to me, and I'll go easy on your punishment!"

Eri glanced at Sir Nighteye, who was struggling-he was losing a lot of blood, Izuku would have to heal him when he got the chance-

To Izuku's horror, Eri ran back to Overhaul, who began to make the landscape different again, the two moving-

If we turn off his quirk right now, would it hurt Eri? Make everything go back to normal terrain and leave her to fall?

Let's get her away from him and take care of that.

"Eri!" Izuku yelled, wings flaring as he flew towards her and Overhaul.

Eri stared at him with tears in her eyes.

"You're cursed, Eri, and this boy will die as a result!" Overhaul said, using his quirk to shoot out at Izuku, who easily dodged.

"It's going to be ok!" Izuku yelled out. "I'm going to save you!"

"Those two were hurt because of you!" Overhaul said. "How many are going to be hurt because of your selfishness?"

Eri started to cry.

"It's not your fault, Eri!" Izuku yelled as he got close-he's almost there, he's almost there. "Overhaul's going to hurt people regardless, but we can stop him! Just come over to me!"

Overhaul moved to use his quirk again-

-but before he could, Eri moved, and before Izuku knew it, she was falling from the pillar and towards Izuku-

Bingo!

Izuku was quick to catch Eri and engulf her in his wings, holding her close-

"I'm sorry," Eri whispered as she began to shake and glow, her quirk activating-

Izuku quickly flashed Erasure and turned it off to Eri's clear surprise and awe.

"There's nothing for you to be sorry for," Izuku told her firmly as he glared up at an angry Overhaul that was rushing towards him.

Not today, Satan.

Izuku quickly turned on Disconnect and reached for the string over Overhaul's head, yanking hard enough to snap-

-and several things happened at once.

The terrain stayed the exact same, but Overhaul and his henchman immediately separated, both of them clearly surprised and free-falling towards the ground.

We should let them fall and die-

We're heroes. We can't just let them die-but we can leave them injured so they can't keep fighting back.

So, right before the two men hit the ground, Yui and Izuku gave them both a light tug, disrupting the fall just enough that they wouldn't die-Duke and Dasu immediately rushed over to make sure the two were restrained.

Izuku then proceeded to rush over to Sir Nighteye.

"He's gonna-he has to be alright!" Eri said, tears in her eyes as Izuku set her down. "He…he was helping me-he can't-"

"Hey, Sir, I'm going to heal you, but first, let's get this out of you," Izuku said.

"Don't-stopping the bleeding-" Sir Nighteye started.

"Yeah, well, I have several healing aspects to my quirk, and I know that the only reason you haven't bled out is because of this thing still being there, but I can heal you-" Izuku started.

"I'm sorry!" Eri blurted as her horn began to glow again, and she backed away. "It's my fault, it's my fault-I-I didn't mean-"

"Hey, hey, it's ok," Izuku said, getting slightly closer to her-

"Don't come near!" Eri cried. "I'll rewind you, too!"

rewind…?

"It's a curse, it's a curse-I'm sorry!" Eri cried as the glow got further from her, reaching near Sir Nighteye and Izuku-

Look at Nighteye…

Izuku did. Sir Nighteye grunted in pain, but the wound was trying to heal around the spike.

Rewind…rewind someone's time!

She thinks it's a curse…I don't like that.

I have an idea.

"Hey, hey, Eri, it's ok," Izuku said, mentally sending out a message to Eraserhead-don't use Erasure yet, I have an idea-as he reached over and touched the spike on Nighteye. Let's use…not Overhaul, don't want to think about that, but shattering this thing…Earth Flow, Pixie-Bob's quirk! It allows her to manipulate the earth around her and mold it into whatever she wants-wait, does this count as earth or cement?

Cementoss's quirk, perhaps? He can manipulate cement-based material just through contact.

Let's use that!

So, Izuku used Cement and got rid of the spike, putting it back into the ground-

-and he quickly said, "Eri, look."

Eri looked at him, then at Sir Nighteye just as the wound fully closed like it was never there.

Eri gasped as her quirk turned off-likely Erasure from his teacher-and she fell forward-

Izuku was quick to catch her and hold her close as Sir Nighteye examined where the hole had been.

"You don't have a curse," Izuku said with a small smile. "You just saved his life, Eri."

"I…I did," Eri said, looking at him before hugging him tightly and sobbing. "I…it's a curse, though."

"Nope," Izuku said as he looked over at Hex and Paz-he…he still couldn't hear them, Paz's leg was getting casted, same with Hex's arm. With the quirk erasing bullets…what was going to happen?

Not the time to think about it right now. He can heal them after-probably shouldn't turn Eri's quirk back on right now, so he can go over and heal them in a second.

"It's not a curse," Izuku said, looking back at Eri as he began to walk over to where Paz was with Eraserhead, Hitoshi helping Hex over. "It's just hard for you to control, hmm? We can work together with it if you want to-it's really pretty."

Eri looked at him before burying her face in his chest again, clutching at his costume as she cried.

Izuku leaned down next to Paz, then gestured for Hex to come close, too. He carefully placed a hand over Paz's leg and Hex's arm-loosening his grip slightly on Eri, but she didn't move-and began his song.

"Flower gleam and glow,

Let your power shine.

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine.

Heal what has been hurt.

Change the fate's design.

Save what has been lost.

Bring back what once was mine.

What once was mine."

Hex and Paz healed up.

Hex? Paz?

"Flere…" Hex said, looking uncertain. "I…I can't hear anything from you guys."

Izuku's heart sank at that.

"Ok…ok, we can figure that out-Yumio's already looking into everything-let's get to the medics," Izuku said, standing up and holding Eri tightly. He looked at the others. "There's still fighting going on. I snapped Overhaul's quirk, and he's injured-so is that other guy-so I'm not worried about them fighting back right now. Duke, Dasu, and I can get them over to the police barrier and continue on from there. You guys want to head back inside and help fighting?"

"Of course," Eraserhead said, then glanced at Nighteye. "Do you need to go back, too? You nearly…"

"I can keep fighting," Nighteye said, then glanced at Izuku. "We'll see you soon, then." With that, he turned to Eraserhead and Mindfreak. "Let's go." The three began to leave as Duke and Dasu picked up Overhaul and the other guy-both unconscious-and the three-or, well, six-left.

..I know, a little anticlimactic compared to the original scene, and I was going to actually kill Nighteye on the spot and a p*ssed-off Odin would shove his soul back into his body and bring him back to life so we'd get the Reaper character being exasperated, but this happened. I love the idea of Eri being shown how her quirk can be used for good, ok?! It's adorable! And, yes, she was staring at Izuku the whole time he was singing, she likes his singing voice since it helps. Let's skip to the aftermath!...

Besides a few scrapes and bruises, Izuku was completely fine. The other Sides were fine for the most part…

…well…

They still couldn't hear Hex and Paz.

Hex and Paz were separated from Izuku in the hospital-just to take x-rays-but Izuku immediately freaked out about that, Hex and Paz freaking out, too, so the hospital staff were quick to set the three up in a room together (Aizawa-sensei had to explain that Hex and Paz were part of Izuku's quirk and had been with him continuously for the last 6 years for the hospital staff to understand).

Eri was in a different room than them-all their classmates were, really, it was just the three, or rather the eighteen of them, some of the other Sides were lounging around the room, others joining Yumio in trying to find out what was happening-speaking of…

"Anything?" Hex asked quietly, and Izuku looked at them.

"...Yumio hasn't found anything yet," Izuku said. "Literally nothing, not even things that were there before, it's-"

"Things are going missing?" Paz asked, alarmed.

"It's fine-we're fixing-" Izuku started.

"What if you can't?" Hex asked.

"We will-" Izuku said.

"We're connected through the link," Hex said. "We've been this whole time-what if this link transferred some of the bullets to you?"

"My quirk is still here-" Izuku started.

"But you're losing things in the Mind Palace Library," Hex said. "That's really bad." They took a deep breath, then nodded a little. "I…I think I should break the contract."

"What?!" Odin exclaimed, shaking her head. "No, no, no!"

"It's for the best," Hex said.

"No-we're going to figure this out," Izuku said-

"I'm leaving, too," Paz said.

"You can't-" Izuku said.

"It's better if we leave instead of hurting you," Paz said, tears in his eyes. "I don't want that, Izuku."

"And I don't want to lose you," Izuku said, shaking his head. "You've been around for so long-"

"We can still be around-maybe even join you again someday when we get this figured out, but…for now, just…please?" Paz asked.

"Please don't make us stay-we can't hear everyone, can't enter, we're just kinda…here," Hex said.

Izuku thought for a few seconds…

"Ok…ok," Izuku said. "Are you sure? Do you promise you'll still be around?"

They both nodded.

"Ok…" Izuku said, then turned on Disconnect and made his strings appear, looking at Hex and Paz's…dull orange and neon pink strings-they've been there for so long, they've been through Year Checkpoints together-those two were the first ones, it was…

Izuku had to do this while he still had the nerve.

With a deep breath, Izuku took the strings off and let them go. The strings disappeared, and Izuku looked at the two, opening his mouth-

"Oh, come on, this again!?"

Izuku and the Sides all jumped and turned to see…

"Kesshuu?" Izuku asked.

The Reaper nodded, clearly annoyed. "The One and Only. And are you serious right now?! How do you keep doing this?! It's not supposed to be possible, and it's not even directly you!"

"Do what?" Izuku asked.

Kesshuu gestured wildly at Hex and Paz. "This! They're supposed to be dead!"

"They-" Izuku started.

"-aren't," Hex said, sounding shocked.

A beat of silence-

"WHAT?!"

Paz carefully reached over to a glass of water nearby and picked. It. Up. "I…I shouldn't be able to do that."

"Yeah, you shouldn't, but those damn bullets!" Kesshuu groaned. "Your Sides are somewhere between life and death, and since those two were shot with something that turned back time, they got put back to life! That's three people you've brought back so far! This is a nightmare!"

"We're…alive?" Hex asked.

"We're alive!" Paz said.

"Yes, you are, and for God's sake, can you please stop doing this?!" Kesshuu asked. "If the next time I see you is because you brought another ghost back to life, I'm going to stab you."

"Noted," Izuku said. "But…you do know that none of these were technically my fault, right? Well, Oboro technically was-"

"You know what I mean!" Kesshuu said, then sighed. "I'll see you at least when the Nomu are getting dealt with." With that, she disappeared.

"So…should I go get a nurse to verify that you're alive now?" Izuku asked.

"Probably a good idea-I think the pain's starting to kick in-guess we're about to go through the same thing Oboro's going through," Hex said, then hissed and laid on the bed.

Izuku immediately got up to go find a nurse.

that was planned right when Hex and Paz first showed up :)…

"Those are my kids now."

Aizawa sighed as he looked at Hisashi Midoriya. "Yeah…I knew you'd say that."

"Good-you took Oboro before I could, these two are mine," Hisashi said, then sighed. "As for Eri…I probably can't take her, too, can I?"

"She's going to be a Ward of UA-I'll be keeping an eye on her when she gets out of the hospital," Aizawa said. "It's going to help being close to your son, too, plus Shinsou and Mirio. She's closest with Izuku, so that's good at least." He sighed. "I'll let you deal with the entire nightmare of reversing their death certificates…are they going to be using their living names like Oboro is?"

"Nope-Hex and Paz Midoriya are staying Hex and Paz Midoriya," Hisashi said, then sighed. "It's going to be nice, honestly. I've missed having the Sides around, and they call me Dad, anyway. It's been too…quiet around the apartment."

"Trust me-you'll learn to miss the quiet," Aizawa said.

Hisashi snorted. "Not happening."

Y'all, I made Izuku too overpowered, and I'm starting to get a little sick of this version. I'm getting close to the end, just have to get through the School Festival, and due to a few other things, the Final fight with Shiggy, plus maybe some scenes from the in-between, but otherwise, most of the other scenes (and honestly, most of season 5) aren't really important. So…yeah.

The good news is, I'm really excited for the next fanfic! It's only going to be about ten chapters, too, so it's not going to be this long. The one after that is going to cover all of canon just like this one, though, so there's that. The one after that will be hell.

I'm low-key debating on switching over to writing fanfic completely on AO3 instead. I only write here right now, but I read over there since I have an easier time finding stuff. Thoughts?
