Chapter 19: Interlude BF10 Webisodes I

3 weeks passed since BF10's latest mission at the Inter Zone, the team was sitting inside Zeke's diner. Everyone was bored out of their minds. "Nothing interesting ever happens around here anymore." Zeke groaned. Just then, Vert's watch beeped. "Well, except for you guys off with saving the Multiverse and all." Zeke said as he added. "Meh, it's a living, Zeke." Vert said as he and the team started leaving while Stanford paid the bill. "See you later, Zeke." He said before following his team. "Yep. Those kids sure are lucky. I wish something interesting would happen here like it does for them." Zeke said.

Later, the team drove through the Salt Flats and were heading towards the Stormshock. "Saber ready." Vert called. "Jetray ready to fly." Olivia called. "Battle Force 10, roll call. Zoom." Vert said. "Chopper has your back, Vert." Zoom said. "Agura." "Tangler is ready to hunt." Agura said. "Stanford." "Cranking up the base on the Reverb." Stanford said. "Sherman, Spinner." "Buster is prime." Sherman said. "And pumped." Spinner added. "Talia." "Pom-Pom Pouncer is ready to cheer and smash." Talia said. "Rayona." "Steaming Wok is ready to cook." Rayona said. "Ivan." "Dune Cat is ready for the heavy roads." Ivan said. "Horace." "Defender is locked and loaded." Horace said. "Stormshock sighted. Impact in 5." Sage said on the com-link as the team approached the Stormshock. "Hold on to your lunch, guys. It's storm riding time!" Vert called as they entered the Stormshock.

"Stay in formation! Looking for the portal!" Vert called. As they drove along the Stormshock, Spinner was filming the trip with a video camera. "Good shots for my video blog." He said. "Which no one, besides Aunt Kat, visits. Watch it!" Sherman exclaimed as Spinner got in the way, causing the Buster to nearly hit the Reverb. Zoom hooked his grappling hook onto the Reverb and hovered in the air. "Sweet." Spinner said as he filmed that. "Hey! How about a little focus, huh?!" Olivia exclaimed. "I'm in focus." Spinner assured. "I meant on the road!" She exclaimed. "Approaching the portal. Battle Zone on the other side. Keep it together, guys." Vert said as they crossed through the portal.

As they crossed through the portal, the team entered a Battle Zone that looked like a rocky wasteland. "You know, the electromagnetic pulses in the Stormshock would've fried your footage." Sherman said. Spinner groaned at that. "We have company!" Vert called, spotting the Vandals nearby. The Vandals growled, snarled and hissed as they prepared for battle. "Get ready to crash and bash!" Vert exclaimed, hitting the gas and activating his Saber's weaponry as both teams charged towards each other.

Some time later, the Vandals were heading towards the Battle Key of the zone. It was on a small ledge over a boiling lake of lava. Zoom hovered towards his team after spotting it from the air. "Zoom, did you see the Battle Key?" Vert asked. "Yeah. But the Vandals are almost on it. We'll never catch up." Zoom explained. "What're we gonna do?" Ivan asked. "Calculating." Sherman said, running the numbers on the jump and distance between them and the key. "It's too far to jump." He said. "Unless someone here has a lava-proof wetsuit." Spinner said. "Not likely. The lava will melt our vehicles faster than an oven can melt a stick of butter." Rayona said.

Meanwhile, the Vandals were almost to the key. "Captain Kalus, we will have the key!" Krocomodo called. "And then…Earth. ONWARD!" Kalus ordered. Just then, Vert looked between the Vandals and the Battle Key and set his sights on the arch in between them. "Got it. Stanford, Horace, target the arch!" Vert called. Stanford and Horace stopped and took aim at the arch. "Sonic artillery and energy artillery away!" Stanford exclaimed. They both fired at the arch, causing it to shatter. Kalus and Tigress stopped as the Vandals were taken down and left stranded on the chunks floating in the lava. "Now there is no way to get the key!" Kalus exclaimed. "Kalus, there's always a way. Check this." Vert said. He drove towards the edge. "What's he doing?" Agura asked. "Don't know!" Spinner exclaimed. "His brain went Floppers!" Rayona exclaimed. Just then, as he drove off the edge, he bounced off each of the Vandals' vehicles, made it to the Battle Key, snagged it and used his blades to skid to a complete stop. "You see, Kalus? You just have to go with the flow." He said. The team cheered as Kalus roared in anger and defeat.

A few hours later, after finishing their mission, Vert and Olivia were out for a drive. But then, Sheriff Johnson started tailing them, blaring his siren. "Vert, it's him." Olivia said through the com-link. Vert grinned as they pulled over. "Finally got you, Wheelers. Tell me, what's the speed limit out here?" Johnson asked as he walked over to them. "45 miles per hour." Vert said. "And how fast were you 2 going?" Johnson asked. "45 miles per hour." Olivia said, showing the holo-computer on her dashboard. "No computer's more accurate than my eyes." Johnson said. "Cause you're blind as a bat." Olivia muttered quietly. "License and regis-" Johnson tried to say, but was cut off when a watermelon flew in out of nowhere and nearly hit him. "What in blazes?!" He exclaimed in shock. "Something wrong, Sheriff?" Vert asked. "You didn't see that flying fruit?" Johnson asked. Vert and Olivia shook their heads. "But it-" Just then, 3 more watermelons were shot around him. "We're under attack!" He exclaimed. "Maybe you've been out in the sun too long, sir." Vert said. "Yeah. The heat really does make you see crazy stuff." Olivia said. "I'm gonna get to the bottom of this. You're both free to go." Johnson said before he ran off towards his patrol car. "Thanks, guys." Vert said through the com-link.

"No problem, guys." Spinner said, watching Johnson leave through his binoculars. "Moldy watermelon ready?" Sherman held up another watermelon. "Pull!" He tossed it into the Mobi and fired it with the accelerator. "Oh! Right in the windshield!" Iguanarox laughed. "Another bullseye, bro." Spinner said with a thumb's up.

A day later, the team was heading out to the Salt Flats. "Battle Force 10, data glitch. We've failed to sense a Stormshock." Sage said over the com-link. "And now the enemy has breached Earth." TRINA added. Zemerik and an entire legion of Zurk crossed through a portal. "I hate uninvited guests." Zoom snarled. "And I hate being caught off guard." Agura said. "Zug smash Sark!" Zug exclaimed. "Vert, how's the Saber?" Olivia asked.

"Working on it." Vert said as he was fixing up the Saber. "I'll get there as soon as I can."

The team and the Sark drove towards each other, ready to fight. Zoom sliced through a few with the Chopper. Stanford and Horace blasted several more. Talia and the Cortez brothers smashed and swatted them. Ivan slashed through their tires. Rayona sprayed them with her rust cloud. Iguanarox fired his spines, impaling them. Zug bashed through them. "Great job, team. We almost got them all." Olivia said. But then, she saw Zemerik coming their way with more Zurk. "Or not."

Vert grunted, knowing that he wouldn't be able to finish repairing the Saber in time. "There's no time. I need a miracle." He said. Just then, he got an idea before running off.

As the team continued to fight off the Zurk, Olivia clashed with Zemerik. But as Zemerik chuckled sinisterly, more Zurk kept coming through the portal. "They just keep coming! What're we gonna do?" Zoom asked with worry. "We need a miracle." Horace said. Suddenly, missiles were fired at the Zurk. "I've got a few ideas." Vert said through the com-link. The Mobi dropped its cloaking and bashed through the Zurk. "The Mobius Command Center!" Zemerik exclaimed in shock. "Strike!" Zoom cheered. "Nice timing, Vert!" Olivia cheered. As Zemerik drove towards the Mobi, dodging its missiles, Vert opened the hatch. Zemerik tried to stop, but he was pulled right into the Mobi. Vert activated the accelerator. "Thanks for stopping by, Zemerik!" He said. Zemerik screamed as the accelerator fired him back through the portal. Vert reached out and seized the key, sealing the portal. "Next time, knock first." He said. The team cheered.

Half a day later, the team was in a new Battle Zone, heading back towards the portal to Earth. But the Vandals were close behind them. "They're too close! They'll slipstream behind us to Earth!" Spinner exclaimed as he carried hundreds of pizza boxes in the back. As the Buster hit a bump, one of the boxes was thrown in front of Sherman. "You couldn't have left these in the Hub?!" He asked in annoyance, tossing the box back. "And let them get cold?! I am not an animal!" Spinner exclaimed. Just then, Sever bashed into the Buster, causing Spinner to lose another box. But then, the pizza flew into Sever's mouth. "They want your pizza!" Sherman exclaimed. "But I want my pizza!" Spinner argued. Sherman glared at his big brother, causing him to groan. He brought out the pizza boxes and started throwing them at the Vandals. "So long, sausage! Arrivederci, anchovy! Farewell, fetta and chicken!" He called as he threw away the last pizza. The team cheered as they made it through the portal.

"Why did you stop?!" Kalus demanded as he and Tigress stopped in their tracks. "They're throwing meat disks." Sever said as he ate a pizza. "Meat disks with cheesy coverings." Griz said. "Forget the meaty insides. The crunchy skin is the best part." Hatch said, eating the boxes. "He's not wrong. It's very savory." Raptor said. Kalus held up one of the boxes and licked it, but was disgusted by the taste.

Well, how was that? BF10 went through 5 different adventures and situations while dealing with the Vandals, Sark and Sheriff Johnson. But BF10 manage to prevail their problems with each of them. What other challenges will BF10 encounter? Will there be other interludes such as this? Leave a review if you want.
