Hello! And welcome back! This time I have a fun little story for Anri week, as a matter of fact, its a sequel to 21, which was Uni. I hope you all enjoy!
Anri tapped her foot as she flipped through the pages of the magazine that had caught her interest in the waiting room she was currently in. Beside her, a young brunette dressed in pink continued to fuss and whine about how she 'wasn't a tsun' and she 'just wanted to make sure she was clear about her intentions' as her caretaker could only feel more and more disappointed.
Where had she gone wrong?
How could her little Ram turn into a tsundere? How could this be happening.
Anri could only chuckle to herself as she looked back down at the article she was reading. Written by a 'Dengekiko' woman she was unfamiliar with. But after a quick zoogle search, she discovered she was a quite famous reporter on this continent. Narrowing her eyes as she continued reading, Anri was a bit surprised. This woman was awfully pro-Lastation. She didn't get it. In the time she had known goddess Black Heart she never seemed the type to bribe a reporter or anything of the sort. Was this Dengekiko just that pro-Lastation?
Anri had much to learn about this continent.
After finishing her article, Anri placed the magazine back in its holder as she crossed her hands in her lap. Remembering why she was here in the first place, she refocused her resolve.
She couldn't let Nepgear win. Even if Maho didn't share her feelings. Anri… She couldn't just do nothing! She'd make herself known! She'd break through her shy and distant demeanor. She had to. She couldn't take the way her heart twinged every time she saw the adorable and bubbly cpu candidate of her nation.
Why was it the first time she had met her… Maho had acted like she had known her for years. And… why did Anri feel the same?
It was like there was a barrier over her heart? Like her heart was trying to remember the way it felt before?
What was before?
Why did she feel this way?
Why couldn't she tell Maho about how she felt?
Did that make her a tsundere?
Why couldn't she answer any of these questions? Well… that's why she was here. She didn't know how or why she had woken up with a referral card to this mysterious 'Dr Nepchew' on her night stand. But… maybe she knew the answers? Anri didn't care really who answered her questions. But she couldn't take this anymore.
"Ah… Uni… how was the-"
"Can't talk now! Gotta tell Nepgear I love her!" Lastations candidate boisterously declared marching through the waiting room, and confidently kicked open the door to the office, leaving all 3 of the girls stared in awe.
"I think this doc might be a magician" Ram simply stated as she stated at where her good friend was standing. What on earth did that doc do to her, and where did she put the real Uni? There was no way that Uni of all people was being honest with her feelings. How long had it been by this point? If even she had noticed the beyond obvious feelings she clearly had for Nepgear?
"There's hope after all for you, Ram!" Mina cooed,
"Minnaaaaa!" Ram whined,
"Anri?" The secretary called out from the desk, as the gray haired programmer gulped, standing up as she followed the nice lady.
Clearly. This Dr was legit.
Maybe she was the cure to the weight on her heart.
"Uhm. Hello?" Anri asked as she poked her hear in as…
"Ah. Hello, hello. Sit dow-"
"Neptune!" Anri yelled as her forehead twitched, as she was clearly standing before Planeptune's goddess with a false mustache on her face, "Miss Histoire is not gonna be happy when she hears about this! Take this silly thing off!" She yelled as she yanked on the mustache, and yet…
"Ow oww owww! Miss! Please!" Dr Nepchew cried out in pain, as Anri slowly backed away.
"Oh-" She looked on as she gulped, "I uh… I'm sorry… I"
"Its quite ok. So sit young miss" Dr Nepchew waved off as Anri soon obliged. Neptune silently letting out a sigh. Anri wasn't wrong. Histy sure would rip her a new one if she found out. Buuut… Neptune maaay have convinced B-sha to do her work for her today. Thankfully B-sha owed her a favor. So she didn't have to pay her too much.
"What seems to be on your heart, miss?" Dr Nepchew asked, as Anri looked far beyond what was there in the room at the time,
"I don't know…" was all she could say, as the Dr nodded her head, writing something down on her clipboard.
"Where would you like to start?"
"..." Anri couldn't find the words. As she searched her heart, her mind, her body, all she could find was a beautifully bright light in her life. And it seemed to be radiating from… "I think I love Maho" She started as her heart rate started to spike,
"I see I see." Dr Nepchew nodded. "And so what brings you here today?"
"I- I don't know why." Was all she said as the Dr shot her a confused glance,
"Care to elaborate?" She prompted
"I… it just… why does it feel like I've loved her for years, when I met her 6 months ago?! I just want her to be happy… so why is it that the thought of Nepgear and her getting together make me feel this dread?!" Anri asked, finally finding the words to say,
"Love is fickle as they say"
"Why has she accepted me so easily? Why does she act like she's known me for years? I'm nobody… why has my nation's goddess candidate shown me nothing but affection and clung to my side? I don't get it!" Anri ranted.
"Is that a problem?" Dr Nepchew asked simply, as Anri's eyes widened,
"What do you mean?"
"Is it wrong to feel that way? Is what she is doing feel wrong to you? Is this not what you want? If so… what is it exactly that you do want?"
Suddenly. Anri didn't have any words to say again.
Was there anything wrong with it? Did it matter who she was? Did it matter that Maho was already dependent on her? Was there anything else that she wanted?
Why was it anyway that the thought of Nepgear getting with Maho bothered her so much anyway?
Didn't she just want Maho to be happy…?
"No…" She spoke outlook. "It's that… I want to the one that makes her happy…. That's so selfish" she came to an epiphany, before chuckling,
"I don't think so. I think that's what makes love so wonderful. Striving everyday to make the person you love happy. To complete their world. To make them feel like everything will be fine, as long as you're with them. I think it's wonderful. The most wonderful thing in this world. Now. Go tell her that. Go share your happiness with her!"
Anri felt the weight on her heart disappear. As it was replaced. Replaced with the desire to share the rest of her days with the happiness she could spend with Maho
"Yes mam!" She yelled as she marched out of the office, leaving behind…
"Man. I'm good at this. Maho and Nep Jr were right about this being a good idea." she chuckled before running her hand through her mustache. "But haha… what kind of glue did B-sha use on this mustache… wait… it's definitely the glue she uses for her models. Ahhh crap baskets."
end5- Of course! Nep will always stand up for her Uzubae! Hmm certainly from her perspective Uranus sure had a point.
Tony Anderson- Thank you! Mhm! Nep is always there for her!
