I'm back! Let the shenanigans continue! :3

By the time Ginny was done introducing everyone to proper theatre etiquette - as in yelling "If you talk I'll Silencio the life out of you" - Hermione was already nestled into Draco's side. The room was filled to the brim with students from all houses, with some Slytherins sprinkled throughout the room in small groups. It was fun to watch them enter, look confused, and then find Draco with their eyes who somehow wordlessly directed them to some seats. Maybe they had a Legilimens connection. Hermione put 'Slytherin hive-mind theory' in the back of her mind to ponder about later.

Theo arrived late, and flanked her from her other side, looking very smug. He got her all the needed reference books from the Malfoys, and even some first-edition beauties she was itching for. She gave him a thank you peck on the cheek and summoned a bag of popcorn for both of them, as hers was stolen by Draco already.

"So, what are we supposed to do?" Theo asked as the lights dimmed.

"Stay quiet, and watch the screen. It's like a moving picture, but it moves a lot longer."

As the first foreboding lines of Galadriel reverberated in the classroom, all the students quieted down, watching the Muggle story intently.

If their faces were anything to judge by, a film was nothing like a wizarding picture. There was much murmuring when the elves and the dwarves were shown, Theo nearly knocked down his bag of snacks as he leaned forward, trying to read the elvish scripts and when the film mentioned the "Dark Lord" Draco shifted in his seat.

She sneaked her arms around him, snuggling deeper into his chest, and he pulled her closer. She couldn't see much of the screen this way - it didn't matter, since she's seen these films already. His hand let her go for a moment, but before she could complain he drew his wand and cast a silencing spell.

"Are you tired of the movie already?"

Draco shook his head. "No, it's quite interesting. And I think I found the source of your elven fascination. Ours are not quite so tall and blond, but if you have any cravings for such things, I am more than happy to provide."

"I believe in the rights of all creatures, not just the elves. Plus, you can't exactly offer me what's already mine… Unless you have some other tall blond to volunteer."

"I did not know you were a collector" Draco teased her.

"I am not, but if someone were to, I don't know, show up one day with long hair, full elven armor and a bow I might change my mind."

Draco did not answer, just smirked and let the spell vanish.

To Hermione's surprise, everyone watched in silence, with only a few shrieks when the ringwraiths were shown. She tried her best to watch the film from a wizard's perspective, but no amount of watching could've prepared her for the slew of questions she'd get in the break between the movies.

"No, those are not thestrals, they are eagles. Sort of messengers... No, not like owls. It's hard to explain- No those aren't dementors, they are Nazgûl- Yes, it's magic, but no, the Muggles don't know about us, they just imagined magic to work like that- No, there's no spell for spinning someone on their heads. At least I sure hope so."

"You shall not pass!" Ron yelled at some Hufflepuffs blocking them from the popcorn machine. He even had a staff, just like Gandalf's. The puffs did not take kindly to his interruption and began throwing candy wrappers and bits of uneaten candy at him.

Ginny was busy with Harry in the back row, setting up the next movie and probably snogging each other to bits. Too bad Hermione didn't have time to tell Draco about that specific Muggle tradition.

Theo turned to her after being absorbed in his thoughts for a while. "Do you think I could learn Elvish?"

"Sindarin, Quenya or -?" she asked, but then realized he had no way of answering "Never mind, yes, just go read the books first."

"There are books?" Theo's sudden excitement was palpable.

"Of course, I've put a few copies in the library-" Hermione could not finish as Theo nodded and hastily headed towards the exit, no doubt to raid the library before the Ravenclaws had a chance to.

"You know I don't think we'll see him for a good week," Draco said.

"And what about you, mister tall blond and mysterious? Not rushing away to read the thing?" she asked.

"I am looking forward to the rest of the story in this movie format. You know, I never would've guessed that Muggles can write so compellingly or that they would fantasize about magic."

"Oh, you'd be surprised. Just wait 'til we get to science fiction."

As Draco was about to ask further questions, Ginny interrupted their little chat.

"Okay everyone, the next part is ready, so sit back down and remain silent."

The Two Towers went just about as Hermione expected, with Gandalf's fight spurring her house into a shouting frenzy that Ginny had to hex into silence. She heard Draco snicker when they chose to trust Gollum. Gimli seemed to be a favorite of the puffs.

"So, who are you rooting for?" she asked after casting a charm around them.

"It depends. Who will win?"

She rolled her eyes. "Of course you'd say that."

"Your good guys are haplessly following a worthless plan and the bad guys have no fashion sense. I can't exactly choose between two evils."

"Don't tell me Voldemort had a good fashion sense" she rebuked but stopped herself immediately after. She pushed it too far, bringing him up so carelessly. She was about to apologize when Draco replied sarcastically.

"You're right. He didn't. That should have been my first clue about not trusting him, I guess. From now on, I shall only follow impeccably dressed people."

Hermione giggled at his response. "Sounds like a plan."

They continued to watch the movie in silence, if not for the occasional comments from Draco.

"Oh, I see, the Muggles discovered Imperius. How novel."

"I swear if you lions are hiding some of these Ents in the forests I'm never setting foot in there again."

"Of course, the good wizard returns from the dead. They tend to do that quite often these days."

"For the love of foolish Gryffindor bravery, what are they all doing?"

Hermione could see how much he enjoyed this new experience, so she let him grumble, only smiling at his wit.

As they neared the end of the second movie and the start of curfew, she collected herself from the living putty she turned into in Draco's arms. She did not think this many students would turn up. Or that they would watch a Muggle tale so intently. Ginny seems to have been right all along. There are many differences between their cultures, but there are quite a few similarities as well. Telling a story, no matter the setting, or the characters, is a universal experience, and so is enjoying these tales.

"I must say, this is quite a masterful way to introduce us to Muggle tales Hermione. So similar yet so unique. " She heard Zabini tease her from the row behind, echoing her own thoughts.

"Thank you, but the praise belongs to Ginny. She was the one planning this all out at managing everything."

"But you were the first to show compassion to a snake. Not many would've had the bravery to do so."

"Or the folly. Yet here we are." she rebuked and turned to face him. The lights came up and the students grumbled in unison about wanting to stay and watch the last part. Yet another thing the houses all agreed on.

"'I amar prestar aen-'" Zabini quoted. "-and we have changed as well, thanks to you. I look forward to your future endeavors Miss Nott" he smiled, then disappeared into the crowd lumbering back towards the common rooms, not quite ready for the next day.

A/N:

Well, I guess my life stopped being akin to a particularly depressing Netflix special, so I can finally continue this one. I hope you will all enjoy it still and come with me 'til the end of this adventure. :)

Love,
