To the people who came here because it is in the top of the updated stories. Sorry.

It's actually an alternate point of view from my main story, Sarcasm no Jutsu.
Following the footsteps of Silverqueen and SoundlessSleep, I wondered if I should do the same…
Tradition, you see… So I tried.

A sarcastic Point of View part one: Mom

"How did it come to this…"

Inuzuka Tsume, the Fierce and Protector of the Inuzuka clan, was sitting in a dark room. Only the moonlight coming through the window brought a little bit of light into her world.
In front of her, her first son was lying on his bed. Dead in everything but name.

How did it come to this…?

She remembered the very first day she held her son in her arms. The pain of childbirth was quickly receding but the love she felt, holding this little fragile life that she brought into this world in her arms, completely overpowered it.

She remembered the sudden anguish at the fact that her baby, her pup, didn't utter a single noise. A mute child cannot use Ninjutsus without a long and painful training…

But the doctor quickly erased her doubt by slapping his ass.
If the collections of Shinobi doctor she had met during pregnancy hadn't already told her that this was standard procedure for a lot of reasons, she might have painted the walls with his innards.

But it worked, her pup screamed.
Loudly.

Despite being in pain and drugged beyond belief, Inuzuka Tsume still used her Imprint and listened to her baby's first emotions.

And damn… He was pissed…
There wasn't any meaning in what she heard in her child's screams, but she got the overall meaning.
Her pup wanted the doctor's ass on a pike. Probably a rusty one.

As far as Savagery goes, he has talent. She thought while chuckling.

And so, finally succumbing to fatigue, pain and medicine, Inuzuka Tsume let go of her pup to her love, Inuzuka Tori. But not before ordering him to bring his son to the ritual.

As his Sire.

How did it come to this…?

She remembered that, during that same night, she was awoken from her rest when a loud and powerful sound echoed through the night.

Tsume Inuzuka immediately used her chakra to get rid of fatigue and pain, quickly getting herself out of bed. Maternity leave is all nice and good, but not really justified when your home is under attack.

Then, after the adrenaline got off, she understood that the 'noise' she was hearing was… Every ninken in the Inuzuka compound howling at the moon… And she understood.

"…Friend…? Is this what I think it is…?" Tsume used her imprint to contact her Friend, Kuromaru, who was supervising the ritual.
"It is." Kuromaru calmly answered in her mind. "HE chose him, right after I introduced him… And your pup immediately recognised and accepted Him, somehow…"

Tsume felt that all her strength immediately left her as she fell back into her bed.
She had not only brought a new life into this world.
She had brought an Alpha into this world...

Then, as the young mother was trying to calm her mind, a new voice joined the chorus of ninken.
And it was LOUD.

Immediately, Tsume used her Imprint again to listen to it.

Annoyance, Incredulity.
And Anger…

"Your pup is already challenging the heavens… Your son will go far, my Friend."
"Of course, he will… I'll make sure of it..."
As she stopped boosting herself with chakra, the Fierce finally fell asleep again, a smile on her face.

How did it come to this…?

She remembered when her pup suddenly grew sick.
She remembered the voice of her beloved Hana, who screamed that 'Shinji is wrong!' while she and her love were peacefully sleeping.
How the man she loved immediately rushed to their chamber and destroyed the door, before rushing toward the hospital.

There, they learned that their precious son was already producing chakra, while his body wasn't ready for it.
And the fact that his life was in danger but, thanks to Jiraya-sanin, a seal could absorb the excess chakra and convert it to heat while his two-month-old body would adapt and create proper chakra gates and pathways.

And somehow he managed to formed them in the same month.

How did it come to this…?

Back in the present, Tsume could only suppress a choke of anguish. Her pup was always a fast learner, even if it harmed him….

As she watched her son sleeping peacefully on his hospital bed, Moon-moon curled in a ball by his side, Inuzuka Tsume continued her mourning.

She remembered how her son eagerly learned to read and write. Showing an interest that no one in the clan possessed.
She remembered how it drew the attention of the council, who used bullshit excuses after bullshit excuses to take him away from her. And it only stopped when the fourth Hokage personally came and her pup showed to everyone that, not only he had already learned the Inuzuka arts and Imprint, but also had already named his Friend.

Looking at the sleeping form of her pup's Friend, Tsume remembered fondly the time when Moon-moon awkwardly opened the door she was guarding and asked the fourth Hokage if they could go out, because he was bored.

Then her pup started a silent shouting match in their Imprint, his angry expression completely clashing against the bored and uncaring face of his Friend…
She didn't listen their conversation, that day. Her pup and his Friend were talking, she had to respect that.

Still, the fact that her son suddenly hit his head on the desk before naming his Friend… Well, she could probably guess how it went…

How did it come to this…?

She remembered that her pup started to show the first sign that the Inuzuka Taijutsu was too restricting for him when he asked her love why we fought this way… And immediately found the inherent flaw.

She came home, after a fruitless search of a Shinobi that left no trace of his passing. Usually, she would have respected the skill of anyone that could evade her, but right now she was pissed.

Because her pup was testing the patience of his sensei. He learned reading at two, learned writing at three. As her mother she knew that the first years of the academy were lost on him and would only bring him frustration.

She tried to have her pup skip at least one school year, multiple time. All rejected.

And then, the day her pup turned four, the world suddenly burned.

"How did it come to this…?"

Inuzuka Tsume cried all the tears in her body, remembering everything she had seen during that day.

She was pregnant, so the Hokage placed her under the Jonin commander, Nara Shikaku, and help to control the situation.
Shikaku was a known entity, she had spent her time in maternity leave with her wife, Nara Yoshino, who spent all off her time bitching about how useless he was…
Right now, watching him calmly directing the whole force of Konoha, Tsume thought that her friend was maybe a liiiiiiitle bit unfair.

But right now, wasn't the time.

"The Kyubi is moving toward the Nohara compound… This is bad…"
Nara Shikaku spoke in an even voice, looking at the battlefield with cold and hard eyes as the monster was destroying everything in his path.
But Tsume wasn't your everyday Jonin. She immediately felt that something was wrong.

"Jonin-commander?" She remembered saying in a professional voice. "Should we send reinforcement?
"No." came the final order of her superior. "They will only get killed. The Nohara are doomed for, we need to hold on until Hokage-sama comes. Only him can stop something like this…"

Tsume noticed that her counterpart was lightly shaking out of guilt.
'He became a father recently'. Tsume remembered that point. He's calling the death of so many people, even their children… So that at least some survive…

And then, something unexpected happened.

In a flash of white, a young kid appeared in front of the beast and looked at It in the eyes.
Immediately, the monster abandoned his attack and tried to end the life of the… What… 12 years old kid that appeared?

Who was that kid?

The battlefield changed immediately, the beast immediately jumped westward to follow the boy and kill him.
And then was stopped by the Keeper.

In the present, the tears of Inuzuka Tsume stopped at that moment.
She remembered the moment when the Keeper appeared. Drenched in blood.

She remembered how she felt that day. When the Hokage released THAT technique, she understood how small she was.

Compared to the Thing that the Hokage summoned. The Kami of Death.

That day, the Protector, the Fierce of the Inuzuka, understood that against the Keeper…
She was nothing.

How… Did it come to this…?

Her son, her pride and her JOY shouldn't have been in the thick of it.
He should have been at the academy…
He should have been at home…

He should have been safe...

And now, Inuzuka Tsume was again in front of his son's bed. Multiple medic-nin were tending to him, trying to keep her pup alive…

Mikoto-chan came almost every day. She didn't want to see her.
Mikoto-chan even tried to bring Yoshino-chan. She refused to see her.

Yoshino's twins and husband were fine. Even if their daughter was badly affected by the Kyubi's aura, she woke up after a week.

Multiple times, she smelled that her friend came close to her house, but never took the final step. Only anxiously waiting in front of her home, overcome with guilt, before finally running back to her clan.

That was fine, she didn't hate her friend.
She just didn't want her friend to see how jealous she was.

Because her pup and her husband… Never woke up.

Her husband became distant and uncaring about everything.
Never leaving the house, always staying in front of the bed their son used to sleep in…

Tsume remembered the day where she brought her son to the hospital after the massacre.
And learned that he might never wake up again…

How did it come to this…?

The doctors were clear about it.
After so many months in a coma, her son was only alive because his Friend and him had already awaken the physical part of the Inuzuka Imprint. Their shared physiology was keeping him alive.
All of the children that were affected by the Kyubi's chakra and didn't wake up had since then withered and died…

Knowing that her pup was in no danger, Tsume Inuzuka tried to show a strong will, for her clan and family.

After she gave birth to Kiba, her love's descent into despair only accelerated.
When Kiba came of age, she ordered him to bring him to the ritual. He complied.

And he came back, holding in his arms a smiling Kiba, holding a small pup that she learned later that was called Akamaru.

But the important thing in her mind was her love, she had kept from reading his emotions. Since Shinji's accident, her love had been different. So, this time, she allowed herself to read her love's emotions.

He was calm, happy. She thought he was back…

And the next morning, he was gone.

Tsume went to the tower, if he had taken a mission then it would be registered here.
She remembered the horrified look of the genin in charge.

She was soon brought to the Hokage.
And she saw the paper that her love left her.

"I couldn't protect an Alpha. I can't protect him. Goodbye."

And just like that, she was now alone.

"How did it come to… THIS!"

Inuzuka Tsume's pain and guilt soon turned to anger.

She buried herself into her work. She took every mission she could, only aiming for the remote chance that, when she'll come back home, she would be too exhausted to face her children and forget that today even existed.

And not notice that Kiba was growing up and looked more and more like him...

During one of her 'rest' days between missions, Inuzuka Tsume then heard a strange rumour.
During that day, her first son apparently said something to someone, and that someone used it to redirect the anger of the Kyubi toward another target.

That day, Tsume got another way to deal with her anger.

Using every source, every relation she had, discovering what happened became her sole focus.

What did her pup do, this time?

She was Tsume Inuzuka. Head of the tracking division. If Tsume Inuzuka wanted to find something, then Tsume Inuzuka will have it.

Her initial search didn't bore fruits, until she was summoned to the Hokage tower.
Here, the Third told her that the knowledge about what happened that day was strictly confidential, only a few Jonin knew about it, and were all told to keep silent.
Because this was a secret that could reveal a lot of Konoha's secrets, she was ordered to stop her search.

Of course, this only made her determination stronger.
Mentally listing the names of every Jonin that were in the general area on that day, she found the perfect target.

She invited Kurenai-chan, they were friends since the academy, but lost touch when she married Tori.
Now was the perfect time for a little get together…

With the help of silencing tags, kind words, a healthy dose of guilt-tripping, and MASSIVE amount of sake, she undid all of Kurenai's walls and learned the truth of that day.

Her pup heard the cries of pain of the monster, who was under apparently controlled.
The genius Hatake Kakashi used that to redirect the anger of the monster towards an area that was already evacuated.
The Nohara clan, next in line in the monster's rampage, were spared.
And the fourth Hokage got enough time to prepare and seal the monster…

That was… A lot to process for Tsume.
She knew that foxes and dogs belong to the same animal family but…
To hear that her pup could hear its voice… A Bijuu is NOT a living animal! That makes no sense!

Unfortunately for her, the completely drunken Kurenai fell asleep and she couldn't extract anymore information from her.
But that was enough.

Tsume Inuzuka finally got up from her chair and walked out of the hospital.

After opening the door, she took one last glance at her pup and his Friend, both sleeping peacefully.
Deep down, she knew her pup will wake up. He has to.

But she has one last thing to do today...

As she walked toward her house, the guilt never left her.
At first, Hana and her tried to keep Shinji's existence a secret from Kiba. He deserved a normal childhood.
He should never know that his father left him because he his not his elder brother…

It failed.

Even if this was unsaid, Moon-moon understood this and stayed away from their house. But the other ninken told the game to Akamaru. Kiba learned that he had an elder brother in the hospital… And asked questions that a mother cannot evade… And she had to lie to her son.

Her steps finally brought her in front of her house. Light was coming from the windows, warm and inviting. As she concentrated, she could hear her son, Kiba, loudly cheering and laughing with her daughter.

She took a book from her personal storage space. A Rock bingo book, three years old.
Tsume opened it in the page she knew by hearth. On it was a picture of Inuzuka Tori, smiling like this world was a joyful one.
Tsume cried, knowing her love was not in the follow-up editions.

After her tears finished falling, Inuzuka Tsume steeled herself.

It was the time to be strong, to be happy, for her family.
And forget that today is her pup's birthday.
Deep down, she wished that this day would simply end …

Her wish was denied when a Genin from the hospital knocked at their door like his life depended on it.

Two days later, Inuzuka Tsume took her stuff and left her house before headed toward the hospital.

Everyone could tell that this was her usual routine, going to the hospital to check on her comatose son before going to work.
But everyone could also tell that a little something was different.

The Protector, the Fierce, was humming a ditty as she walked toward the hospital, reading an official summon from the hospital.

"Let's see… He thoroughly kicked the ass of the two Genins that were on duty… Hmmm… Not bad, not bad… Then he ignored the targeted Genjutsu of three nurses… That's only to be expected… Then he…. What the… A kancho?!"

Inuzuka Tsume put the notice back into her pocket.

"Aaaaaah, I'm gonna have to apologise to Igaku-obasan… Again…"

Everyone in the Inuzuka Compound noticed that their Protector was in high spirit, the first time in four years.
Everyone in the Inuzuka Compound could say that their Protector, Tsume Inuzuka, was smiling.

"How did it come to this… Now I have to be the Big Bad Mom again… Hehe Hehe… I missed that..."

And it was NOT a kind smile.

Inuzuka Tsume, Protector, Fierce and so many other titles, some flattering, some not-so-flattering, now had an unruly pup to discipline.

And she was going to enjoy every second of it.

Author's notes.

Hi guys! I'm sorry, the holiday put a number on me. I had to take the workload of FOUR people while they went in vacation with their kids! Seriously! Stop reproducing! Take your holiday elsewhere like every sane person ever! Summer sucks!

More seriously, if you ever worried about Sarcasm no Jutsu, it's not abandoned. The next chapter is advancing. It's about half-way, but there's two things.

One. This chapter is crucial to the plot, I'm trying to do my best but I know that one single mistake would completely ruin it.
Two. With people giving me their workload, I come back home completely drained. I even haven't played FFXIV is weeks because I'm just that tired!

I'll continue working on it, and it will be a double chapter, one Sarcasm no Jutsu, and one Sarcastic Point Of View. Because, as I had a serious case of blue balls before revealing that we were in the Heliocentric verse, I am already feeling the same thing about the next chapter.
