Everyone was inside Rhonda on the way to Vacay Island. June managed to find a way to communicate with her brother that she was safe and sound and that he and her father didn't have to worry about her anymore and let them know about where she was going next. June thought about it as long as her folks knew that she was safe and okay, everything was good, and that she'd come home eventually. Spruce, who preferred his other name Bruce, arranged that they all come to his home to recover after everything that had happened. June thought he was also kind enough for her to stay with them too, after Floyd told everyone that she was his friend and wanted to help her.

While everyone was talking, June was sitting at the back of the bus. She found a piece of paper and a pen and began to do some doodling. She put her glasses over her head since she didn't need them whenever she was reading or working up close on something.

Floyd found and approached her. "Hi."

"Hey," she smiled at him. "What's up?"

"Oh, nothing. Just wanted to check how you're doing," he sat next to her.

Poppy and everyone else noticed the cute interaction between the two and couldn't help staring. All of them shared playful looks. But they continued their conversation to avoid being caught.

"Whatcha doin?" Floyd asked.

"Well," she replied. "I was inspired by where we're going now, so…I felt like drawing."

"Can I see?"

"It's not done yet," she chuckled.

"Please?" He asked.

June looked at his pleading face. She thought it was cute. "Okay."

She showed him a beautiful picture she was making of everyone with happy faces and eating food on a beach.

"This is really good. Even if it's not done yet, as the artist says," Floyd winked at her.

"Thank you," June grinned. "As you can see, these unfinished shapes, it's supposed to be trolls. And I can't decide what food to draw here."

"Maybe a picnic basket. Or crabs so that they know they're about to be eaten."

June gasped and hit his arm. "How dare you, you big meanie?"

Both laughed at his joke. The other trolls couldn't help but feel that there was something sweet going on between Floyd and June. Poppy suddenly wanted to play Cupid for June so badly, thinking how Floyd was a good match for June and that it's been so long since June dated anyone after Luke.

TIMESKIP

The group safely made it to Bruce's home and June met his whole family. June thought Brandy, Bruce's wife, and their kids, were delightful. She also thought it was sweet and funny every time there was a display of the loving relationship between husband and wife. Everyone was given their own rooms and they all had a fun dinner together.

At one point, June was telling a funny story. "And she said 'Uh, honey…You're eating the leftover stinky, stale bread.' It was so bad, that all his teeth fell out and he did not like the next family group photo they took after that incident."

Everyone cackled in laughter.

June was very grateful to get food in her system after months of no food or water. It was a delicious meat, potato, and vegetable dish. It was so good that June had three rounds of it. Occasionally, she looked and smiled at Floyd whenever he was telling a story or a joke. She would look away any time Floyd was about to face her. He also glanced at her with big smiles now and then.

Later, everyone was getting settled into their rooms. June was busy drawing when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," she said and saw it was Poppy who entered. "Hey, your majesty. What's up?"

"Oh, just wondered if I could talk to you about something."

"Of course, anything," June paid close attention to her.

"About you and Floyd."

"What about us?" June asked.

"Well, for one thing, you should have seen how Floyd was worried about you when we went to come rescue you."

"He…was worried about me?" June asked.

Poppy said, "I think he likes you. More than a friend. And I can tell you like him back. I can see you enjoy each other's company a lot."

June let out a deep sigh. "I don't know, Poppy. I mean, sure, I like him. A lot. He's fun, honest, caring, kind, and great to hang out with. But I don't know. It feels kind of fast. Besides, he probably doesn't feel the same about me."

"Like I said, I think he does."

"How do you mean?"

"Well," Poppy said. "I've seen the way he looks at you. That sounds like a sure sign of liking you back. Two, he cares about you a lot. So much so that once he was revived, all he could think about was getting back to you and saving you, another sign. And it's obvious you also care a lot about him too. Three, during dinner, he's been smiling at you the whole time whenever you were telling a story. If that's not someone liking someone else, I don't know what is."

June thought about everything Poppy just said. And she thought about how cute it all sounded. "Okay," she finally said. "That's good to know."

Poppy smiled. "Just think about it. And you seem happier than you've been for a long time. Luke would want you to be happy again. I want you to be happy with someone you like again."

"Yeah," June said. "I know. If something more happens between me and Floyd…I'll steadily follow my heart and see where it goes."

"That's the spirit," Poppy hugged her.

"Thanks, girl," June smiled. "What would I do without you?"

"Hey, that's one of the reasons what friends are for."

"Agreed," June said. "By the way, about your sister, how did all that happen?"

Poppy excitedly began to tell the story about how she and her friends found Viva. "Well, we had to find Clay next and then we later found out…"
