It's revealed it was actually Carly having paid Amanda's bail rather than her simply serving her time. Carly did visit her a few times, but saw Amanda was getting more and more depressed in there, not even bothering to yell at Carly over the stuff she normally would. Carly decided to take pity on her for once, and paid for Amanda's release. She suffered enough.
"Well I hope learned something for once." Carly said while driving them home, the unusually silent Amanda gave no reply to this.
"Whatever Amanda, just don't take it out on Michael, cause I enjoyed the silenc-"
"They made me go cold turkey in there." Amanda finally spoke, startling Carly a little. Amanda referring to her drinking problem. It's not as obvious as Dash's, but had always been there.
"They did?" Carly responded. Amanda nodes.
"How do you feel now that you're sober?" Carly questioned
"It gave me a lot of time alone with my own thoughts, even attended group therapy."
"And? What did you learn?" Carkly asked, genuinely curious.
".. I realized I blamed you for my own problems.. truth is. I didn't wanted to be a mother, I wasn't ready for it.. But than it happened, and I didn't know what to do, I was scared.. I was a stripper, how can I be a mother, I couldn't.. And Michael wasn't much help, he was out robbing and causing chaos with his band of misfits. I had no one to go to, certainly not mom, she was awful to me.. But in the end, it was seeing you were a better mother than me, that was the worst part."
Carly, once reaching a stop light, takes Amanda's hand.
"it's okay Amanda, it's never to late."
I have a lot of other stories to focus on, so afriad I'll cut this one short.. Hope you all enjoyed..
